Beautiful quiet place. Excellent choice to relax and be surrounded by nature along with breathtaking landscapes.
Nice spot to visit, but the boardwalk is in need of repair. Lighthouse closed. We sat in the pavilion and met some local people who come there all the time. They loved Raven and we all chatted. It was so nice.
Beautiful spot. How lucky we are to have access to this island! It’s a day park with lots of picnic sites, many with spectacular views. It’s worth the drive just to see the lighthouse, which is painted in the colours of the Acadian flag. The boardwalk could use some TLC. I’m sure that will be taken care of because everything else here is maintained with pride. Next time, I’ll go for a day and not just a quick visit.
Kids love the park. Boardwalk is still out of commission. Wish there was a fence or something to keep the kids a little safer as the park is like 20ft from the water.
A nice park with walking trails and lots of parking. The change rooms have just been replaced with new ones (Summer 2022). Hopefully they will also be fixing the boardwalk soon as it is falling down in many areas and closed off at the time. The lighthouse and structures were also just painted and look great. The wildlife is nice lots of birds and chipmunks.
Warning: Mosquitoes, bring protection. The Lighthouse was closed which was disappointing. Walking along the beach was a pleasant experience with lots of nice rocks, seaweed, and some dead crabs. Once we headed to the boardwalk, we found out that the wind at the beach had been holding back a swarm of mosquitoes. We retreated to the beach after getting bit dozens of times each, and walked back with the ocean breeze keeping the mosquitoes away, until going to the car.
Stopped in 'Hay Island' in Neguac as I was driving by.. Very much worth the drive out of the way to see the beautiful island and to snap a pic of this unique lighthouse
Spectacular area along the water. Great place for bird watching. Nice, easy trails along the beach head. Note: The boardwalk itself is closed as apparently deemed to be unsafe and this would appear evident as the boardwalk is literally "out of commission" in a few spots. Regardless, its a great place to visit and spend a couple hours. Bring your bug spray!

Oh my dear lord! The food was scrumptious! It was my first time going there even though being a local, and I was not let down. The featured drink(Rocket Blast) was a treat from me to me, and even my wife(who doesn't like the taste of alcohol) said she'd, slowly, still drink it! The staff are amazing. The layout is good, there's a more open area for more social groups, and there's another area that's aside for more intimate or introverted people like my wife and I. We will definitely be trying different dishes there soon!
From the moment we sat down, our server Natasha was fantastic. She has an extremely happy demeanor and you can tell she loves what she does. The food came out quite promptly. We ordered the garlic bread, Supreme fries, nacho dip and deep fried pickles. Everything tasted fresh and used quality ingredients. This place was recommended to us by the folks at Ocean River RV resort and I can see why. Fantastic place to sit down and have lunch or dinner. Highly recommend, and give Natasha a raise!
I was pleasantly surprised at the amazing food here at Pub 981! I didn’t realize how great it was and I will definitely be back. Sorry for my photo of partially eaten burger but after biting into it I knew I had to take a picture and post.
Great little hidden Gem just outside of Miramichi in Neguac. One of our all time favorite restaurants. Great food, great service and great prices!
Pub / Bar atmosphere with both pub food and more family food offering. Prices are portions are good. Outdoor seating also available in the summer, weather dependent. If you are looking for a social outing or a nice lunch come have a visit. Bar sitting also available as well at Video Lottery Machine in the Restaurant.
Amazing service Incredible food And a super relaxing atmosphere
Had the wedge taco poutine and it was out of this world delicious. Made to perfection. The girls were very welcoming and friendly 😊 My friend had the Chicken poutine and loved it also! 15/10 for sure!
Food is awesome!! So good. Nicely designed and great service.
