Such a great centre to learn all about the history in Cupids. They had so many different things like artifacts, videos, sounds, photos, figures, it really made it interesting. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable as well.
You should go to the plantation first and see the archeological site then go here. The artifacts and stories will make more sense if you do it in this order. Well displayed. Great actors portraying characters from the past. Nice bright place. Has a cafe inside as well but I never ate there
What a gem of a museum, SO much history I didn't even know about. (My husband's family is French and his ancestor arrived in Quebec City with the Great Recruit of 1653, so I didn't really know too much about the history of the English). This is the best museum I've seen in Newfoundland and the well worth the price of admission. AND a cafe - food is amazing. What a nice treat after two hikes in the area.
The Cupids Legacy Centre is a true gem! The interpreters were incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history of the area to life with engaging stories and fascinating details. The exhibits are thoughtfully designed, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. The gift shop is delightful, with a great selection of local crafts, books, and unique souvenirs. The Fairy Garden on the Observation Deck is truly charming. A must-visit for anyone exploring Brigus.
Great way to learn about the settlement of Cupids. The story is told by folks in period costume as you walked with them through the museum. They really made history come alive.
Fantastic way to tell the history of Cupids. 3 actors (very talented) role played 3 generations of story tellers that settled and lived the history of the region. Well worth the time to experience. Well done!
We enjoyed a lunch stop here while on a tour of the bay. Food and service was very good. The fish cake was excellent! Recommended!
Nice little restaurant here with homemade soup and sandwiches. Homemade sweets available as well. Very informative museum with lots of artifacts. Helpful staff.

Wonderful theater. They are masters of Shakespeare and do wonderful takes on other classics and local pieces. All the actors are fantastic. If it's your first time seeing a play with them, take a blanket! It truly is an open air theater and it gets chilly in the evenings. The new location is much closer to St. Johns, which is nice. We have gone every year for many years, and will continue to do so.
Perchance Theatre never disappoints. Fantastic performances and talented actors. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous outdoor theatre. Wonderful company. Go!
Saw two shows in summer 2024, 'Tempting Providence' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Both shows were absolutely brilliantly done. The minimalist staging of 'Tempting Providence' was extremely effective, both visually and thematically. The actors did a tremendous job throughout. I have seen 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' produced three times, and I have never seen it done as effectively as here at Perchance Theatre. The actors had an exceptional grasp of the Shakespearian language, even compared to other professional productions. I have never heard it spoken as naturally as here. The front of house staff were polite and efficient, and the venue is a beautiful outdoor theatre that is well utilized. The seats were bare wood, so I recommend bringing a cushion if that's a trouble. All seating had excellent views of the stage with minimal obstruction. The parking lot is quite large, so it made for a lovely spot for a tailgate picnic. If you are looking for an experience to remember, go to Perchance Theatre.
This was awesome. Saw the closing show of High Steel and it was great. The company is in a new home, with support of that community and is only going to grow. Most importantly the artistic vision is solid. If you're looking for an afternoon or evening out, you can't go wrong.
Absolutely fantastic! Just attended their Tempting Providence production and we laughed and we cried. A thoroughly entertaining and jarring depiction of life on the rock in the 1920s. Acting was exceptional. We have seen two other productions in previous years and this was the best. A highlight of our vacation.
We got to see Julius Caesar. What a great stage. Superb acting and direction. We enjoyed the refreshments offered at intermission. I just wished we had gone to other productions over the summer. Shakespeare in the Garden at the Botanical Gardens was absolutely brilliant.
Tremendous cast, excellent shows -- overall a fabulous experience. It wasn't my first visit and certainly won't be my last!

The views from the top of Spectacle Head are breathtaking. From the surrounding communities, to Bell Island in the distance, the photo opportunities on this summit are limitless. And if your fortunate, you may encounter an eagle or two.
Excellent trail.. Slightly hilly terrain but Good for kids as well.. Excellent view from the top.
The view up too is good. The trail is overgrown so quite hard to follow even with the white markers.
If you go near Bonavista or Trinity, this is a must visti place. After parking, you have to walk for 10-20 minutes to find this gem.
This was gorgeous moderate hike, very clean and well maintained, the little Rock towers were a special touch that brought excitement to my kids ages 11 and 12 !!! Will definitely be going again.
Moderate trail. Loads of blueberries , great viee
This place is beautiful.
