Beautiful and calm. Very well maintained and clean I always go at te end of August after the high season
Nice spot to see the fall colors 🍁 hiking paths from easy to difficult level. There’s access on winter for cross country ski 🎿 that we will come back to check!
My goodness this activity Centre is well-laid out and super well-managed. We did a sweet 3 hour hike and it was SO well organized, we totally loved it. Highly recommend!
Nice place for a day hike. Great view at the summit of mont Kaaikop (of Montréal and Tremblant on a clear day). The hike starts at a beautiful lake.
An amazing hiking experience with stunning views. The perfect get away.
Beautiful fall colour hike, steep climb but great view!
Great place to hike and camp. Took stars off because website says use of canoes is included in camping fee but they don't offer that daily. Primarily camped here for the use of the canoes, price is steep($50 per night) since it wasn't included. Would have gone and camped at Mont Tremblant if we knew of this.
The trail is great and the view amazing

Stunning! So worth it! I’d say its intermediate and theres quite an ascend but its doable! The view is the perfect to enjoy your lunch after a good hike!
Amazing. They have toilets that remain open 24/7. Showers. A swimmable lake that’s really clean . If you lodge there water equipment rentals are free. A lot of lodging option (camping, private chalet, room etc). Designated camp spots are cleared for tents, some even have wooden platforms for tents. Staff helps orient you and recommends a trail based of off your needs and request. They were very informative and welcoming.
I recently hiked Mont Kaaikop with a few friends, and we had an amazing time. Located about 1.5 hours from Montreal, Mont Kaaikop offers a well-marked trail that took us around 4-5 hours round trip. The entrance fee was $8, which felt fair for the quality of the trail and the overall experience. The hike itself was a perfect mix of challenge and scenic beauty. Some sections were a bit steep, which added to the adventure, and we took a few breaks along the way to enjoy the quiet of the forest. Reaching the summit was well worth it, with panoramic views of the Laurentians that made the climb feel rewarding. We all felt accomplished and relaxed by the end, and it was definitely a memorable day. Highly recommend Mont Kaaikop for anyone looking for a scenic, moderately challenging hike near Montreal!
The coop is "no dogs" on site, reason why I would never set foot on their premises but the trails are well marked and are dogs allowed on leash, but my shepherd is a nuclear bomb and she can't be kept on leash in the woods. Sorry but not sorry! Muddy spots even in a dry summer, so I can't imagine what it might be during other times of the year. Top of the mountain has quite a view! Last few kms before reaching the entrance is a gravel road, with some big rocks at times and some nasty potholes, be careful driving! Girl at the entrance was sweet and very helpful!
It was a very good hike with an amazing view from the mountain. Crampons or rockets with sticks must be. Dogs are welcome.
Excellent Hike. The trails are very well signaled. I went solo and it was very nice. Once you arrive you have to register in the ACCUEIL HOUSE. I took trail number 7 that take you to the top and I did the petit tour (about 2h30 taking your time) Expect to pay 9$ for adult.
One of the better views in the area. Trail is pretty easy and for all levels. Would recommend hiking boots especially for the downhill part. We did the small loop to the TDL trail around the lake. Was a lot of fun even though it was overcast and raining. View wasn’t as nice but at least there was nobody on the trails. Check it out for a fun day hike. An average hiker can tackle this in 2 and a half hours with breaks at the top. Have fun!
Incredible hike. Not easy but definitely worth seeing the views! Need 4 hours for Grand tour. Will come back in the summer x
