Great little museum, fun facts and animal dioramas
We saw this mentioned in The Milepost and stopped to visit. This is an incredible museum. It is well kept, very thorough, and is really a lot larger than you think it is. It was not very expensive. The staff was so welcoming. Right next to the museum is the huge gold mining pan. You have to stop for a picture.
An amazing the Kluan museum of history at Yukon, Canada. Excellent exhibition! Thank you to the founders and organizers! Very neat, excellent quality of taxidermy, great space for group visitors. There is an audio accompaniment to the exhibition with the sounds of birds and animals. I highly recommend this museum for a visit.
This is a treasure not to miss. Do NOT be fooled by the modest exterior....WHEN you stop to see the huge miners pan with a mural painted on it, DO stop and go inside. Displays of local animal life that are world class and are most excellent. A few displays on the local native craft work and art as well. They allow over night parking for free as well.
This was one of the most impressive museums I have ever visited. The native handiwork, clothing, and beadwork were amazing. The displays of native wildlife were outstanding and the descriptions short enough to not be overwhelming. Other museums should take their lead from this one. You won’t be disappointed if you visit.
To be honest I figured you see one small town museum you've seen them all. Boy was I wrong! This museum is very well put together with dioramas and displays. There is a movie that loops so if you have time to sit and watch it's interesting. It takes about half an hour of really looking at the exhibits or 15 minutes of less on a run through. The movie is another half hour or so. This is one museum that is well worth the stop and it's only $5 cdn per adult! Talk about a steal.
Great little museum with very impressive exhibits! Lots of Taxidermy! My kids loved it! Be sure to stop and and take an hour to browse everything over. You will not be disappointed!

We were looking to get a flight over the glaciers and just stopped in. It was getting late in the day and by chance we were able to get a tour. Amazing sights from the air that must be seen to appreciate. Xavier was our pilot and we couldn’t have been happier. Knowledgeable about the landscape below us and a most competent flyer. If you’re in the region see this little tour company. The small staff is friendly and pleasant. Thank you Rocking Star Adventurers! Bill & Joan
WOW!! Our one hour flight around the mountains and over the glaciers was a once in a lifetime thrill. Our pilot, Catherine, was great - knowledgeable, and friendly.
What an amazing flight over the Kluane National Park icefields and glaciers. Perfect weather and lots of glaciers, icefields, mountains and wildlife to see. Our pilot, Catherine, was very fun/friendly and obviously knew the terrain and local history as she provided a great commentary of the sights along the way. We did the 1.5hr flight but my wife did the 2hr flight over Mt Logan and had a equally amazing time. Highly recommended to get a real view of Kluane
Rocking Star Adventures are amazing! The pilot was very knowledgeable and the flight was awesome. We were so close to the glaciers you felt you could touch them. It brought the vastness of St. Elias mountains to life. The company was welcoming, accommodating and punctual. Best flight, best view of the glaciers and most informative. Rock on!
Great flight, it was really nice to see all these glaciers and mount Logan. The pilot was quite knowlegeable and was able to name the mountains, peaks and glaciers. I highly recommend the experience. The company proposed to postpone our flight due to poor visibility at mount Logan, which I found really nice (they gave us the choice to keep it or move it). We were in the area for a couple days so we change it. The day of our flight was almost just blue sky.
Most amazing views i have ever seen. Glad we did the tour. Breathtaking views on Mt Logan and the surrounding glaciers. When ever being around Haines Junction take your time and do the flights. Our pilot was super friendly, knew all mountain and glaciers names.
The flight was incredible! Gives a completely different perspective than you can get any other way and definitely worth it. The ice fields are epic and the mountain peaks stunning... Definitely the highlight of our trip to the Yukon. Pilot was great and very knowledgeable about the area. Office staff were friendly and were able to schedule us in on relatively short notice. They even sent us a GPS track of our flight path afterwards so we could see exactly where we were, fantastic!
My husband and I had a wonderful flight with Daniel as our pilot. He was very knowledgeable about Kluane and its geological history. We saw the Dusty and. Lowell glaciers along with lots of mountains! We appreciated both his tour guide knowledge and skill as a pilot. We highly recommend this tour and look forward to another opportunity to fly the skies over Kluane.

Rode through here on my motorcycle and was just blown away by the beauty! Saw mountain goats on one side and wolves on the other. The water is clear and fairly shallow. I will be back one day soon!
Beautiful much more water in lake than when we passed in end of May.
Unsure of where to go to see Kluane Lake, we drove on Copper Lilly Way near the Burwash Museum. We saw camp spots and decided to walk to the lake. We did not camp but the lake view was beautiful!
spectacular lake on a clear day, nice and quiet
Beautiful is an understatement! It's been years ago, winter and a bald eagle standing on a log floating just inside the lake. No cell phones (for pic), it's that long ago lol but I'll never forget it! Kluane Lake is made up of ice crystals, and is amazing!
Cave here to see bears... None
Just got back from a roadtrip to the Yukon. Larger than life, is not an exaggeration at all here! Who could never believe in creation, after experiencing this territory! I will be back to stay!
Beautiful. Take a hike.
