Such a beautiful provincial park. We did an 18km hike through here, right after a good snow fall. It was absolutely gorgeous. It took us about 5.5hrs due to the deep snow, but was well worth it. Such a peaceful place, we saw less than 10 people the whole day. There are alot of trails here and they are all worth a hike. The hike to the Lookout point was tough with all the fresh snow but very rewarding when we got up there. This is an amazing place to spend the day hiking, taking pictures and enjoying the great outdoors.
I visited Murphy’s Pinnacle Lookout at Boyne Valley Provincial Park. Yesterday, I devoted several hours to taking in the views from this vantage point. The lookout is accessible via a brief 1 km hike. Additional trails are available for exploration. Parking at the entrance is free.
Followed the route The Bruce Trail: Boyne Valley Side Trail on AllTrails. Started to hike at 8:50am, 9km in distance, 2h30 loop, 408m in elevation gain. Parking is pretty much exactly where the marker is on Google Maps on the shoulder of the road (around the yellow arrow markers indicating a turn in the road). The trail head was a bit hidden but once you find it the trails are very well indicated. The view at the top (Murphy's Pinnacle Side Trail) is probably the highlight of the area, though the trails offer variety from tree-covered areas to open, grassy fields. Some portions were muddy, particularly the area at the base of the valley by the streams of water. Very limited service, so download a map, or print one just in case! Not too many people on the trails. If you're new to AllTrails you can select the route and start the activity so it will remain on your phone without having to pay for premium.
Great trail with a lot variety of terrain. A great workout. Not as many bugs but definitely spray some repellent just in case.
What a hike! The bugs were a bit intense at the entrance but subsided once we started moving. There is a lot of growth happening right now and it's looking great. There were 6 or so people off the path forging. I'm hoping they didn't take everything. Lots of man-made bridges as you make your way back. We hiked for just over 9 km in 3 or so hours. It was very beautiful and there was a great deal of terrain. It started spitting then hardcore showers halfway through but I still enjoyed it. Definitely will be returning as it was perfect!!
Great hiking area! The landscape here is beautiful and surprisingly diverse with a view, some lower river areas and farmland. Especially beautiful in fall! Parking is somewhat limited but there is parking on the road into the park. I imagine Boyne is overshadowed by popular trails nearby but from experience I can tell you this is a great a place as any. If you are looking for a less busy hike with great scenery Boyne is a must go
Beautiful place to hike and spectacular view from the top. Small parking lot at center road that is off 5 sideroad. Free entrance and parking (atleast from this side, not sure if it has any other entry point). walk on the bruce trail, there are three splits on the way, just stay to the right. On the third split it has sign saying Murphy's Pinnacle side trail, again keep to the right and you will be at the top of lookout point. Total around 10mins walk to the top. I haven't seen any washroom facility on the way.
I did a 5-hour out and back hike at Boyne Valley and it was beautiful! I saw lots of birds, caterpillars and even a frog! The trail was well labelled and there were even descriptive signs along the way, which was helpful and informative. The only downside was that it could have used more scenic lookouts. Great hike overall!

Great place for kids to fish. Guaranteed to catch trout. Kids loved it, but my wallet didn't. 9 dollars per pound for whatever you catch. No catch and release.
This place is a tranquil oasis in a forested setting. The trout are kept in cooled ponds to mimic their natural surroundings. The trout are in excellent shape and are 1.7 lbs on average. Nothing beats fresh fish caught and eaten the same day. It's a great place to take the kids fishing because all of them are good sized fighting fish.
There is a pond which is only for fly fishing Cath and release. Fish is decent and good fighter. Good place for improving fly skills. Better if there will be more hospitality.
Spent the day here at Murray's Fly Fishing school. Will be back with my family for sure. So easy to catch fish in the main pond.
A pristine location close to the city. A great location to purchase Rainbow and Brook trout or wet your fly in their fish out ponds. I have purchased Rainbows here for 4 yrs with great success. I would definitely recommend the business.
Great farm to fish for trout. I suggest you go early. They provide tackle, worms, and will help out beginners. Fish are jumping so don't expect to be there for long. They charge a nominal fee for line rental and equipment as well as the weight of the fish. I loved the experience. You also don't have to get a fishing license for fish on thier property. Bring something to carry the fish in( we brought a cooler)
We enjoyed this lovely, quiet set of ponds immensely. Although it doesn't state this on the website, they do supply fishing rods and everything needed to fish, as well as selling simple coolers and ice necessary to take home your catch. We've fished at another GTA pond before, and the fish here had a far cleaner, superior taste. Just don't get too zealous and catch more than you can eat--the five of us should have stopped at 3 or 4 2-pounders.
Not real fishing. No challange and fish can be caught instantly within 30 seconds. Incredibly expensive and each fish you catch cost between $10-$30+!! Just go to the grocery store if you're going to go here.
