Great walk around the trail. Very friendly staff
The walk/hiking is nice. It’s free for citizens of Windsor and 6$ for others. You need to show proof of residence . 5$ for students You can buy gifts at the receptionist which also has washrooms and a fire. Saw some geese on the walk. The place is quiet. Saw a trail for hiking. Huge packing and generally a nice hike. There’s benches on the route to sit if you want. I visited on a Saturday in a Winter. There wasn’t much snow so could just walk with normal boots. You can download the app to see the various routes. Receptionist was nice and explained everything.
I visited The Windsor Powder Mill today and had a wonderful time. The trails are well-maintained and offer a peaceful walk alongside the Watopeka River. I spent about 2 to 3 hours exploring, and the $6 admission fee (tax included) felt reasonable. The area was surprisingly quiet; I didn’t encounter anyone else during my walk. There are several spots by the river where you can sit and dip your feet in the water, which was quite refreshing. The free parking is a bonus, and the natural scenery, especially along the river, is beautiful. Overall, it’s a great place for a tranquil walk in nature.
Gorgeous place! It's perfect for a peaceful nature walk with your loved ones or even a run by yourself. And you get to learn more about it's history with the information stands placed around the area.
Awesome 🤩 walk in the nature. I have included the picture of current admission fee if you are looking for 😉 PARC HISTORIQUE DE LA POUDRIÈRE DE WINDSOR The trails of the Windsor Powder Mill offer a warm welcome in a century-old building that once housed a black powder manufacturing plant. The trails are adjacent to the Watopeka River and run through the Domtar paper mill grounds with loops varying from 1 to 6 km. During the summer, enjoy a theatrical guided tour through the vestiges of the buildings that made up the factory, as well as an engaging multi-sensory show. Personalized service, a souvenir shop, audio guides, a terrace, and a picnic area are among the services offered
Lots of hiking, snowshoeing and skiing areas. Well marked. Great place to spend a day exploring, exercising and taking in nature.
Beautiful here ..the fall scenery is incredible
Nice trails and beautiful views of the river. Glad we were able to bring the dogs. Wish there were more signs along the trail with information about the area and would be nice if the information was in French and English, especially for tourists.
