For golf in NB it’s hard to think of a course in better shape or better managed than MAC. I look forward to a run for two every year. I don’t often do a 5 star - but it’s easy for MAC. Well managed, excellent value, a lovely day of golf. Don’t change a thing!
Mactaquac is currently in the best shape of any course in the Fredericton region. BIG greens and bunkers both well maintained. Lots of elevation changes, many blind tee shots.
The greens were rock hard, and the sand was also rock hard with no rakes. The girls were great at the restaurant but we never had any cart service for the back 9. I enjoyed the drive into the course, the dam area was picturesque.
It was a lovely place to go unfortunately when I went through only the sledding was open. It was very scenic and the sledding was so much fun, however, walking up the hill, not so much.
Course has been in great shape recently but they told us by phone they dont allow groups of more than 8 players anymore. It seems they heavily discourage work and charity events as well. If you try and reach a manager there they don't actually work onsite or return any calls. It was suprising. Still an impressive and well maintained course. Just wish they didn't change the things they did well.
Always enjoy playing a round here. It's a shorter course with lots of large bunkering around the fronts of greens. Lots of dog leg rights and wider fairways for the average golfer.
Beautiful course. No Marshall, waited 25+ minutes a hole. Paid $100+ at 4:30pm to only finish 12 holes.
Beautiful course great people. I want to especially acknowledge John the starter who may be the nicest person on the planet. You make the world beyter John. Shouout to superintendent Greg and crew, outstanding job also Amy S for 5 star customer service
