Great little lighthouse that you can walk into and right up to the top in. Very cute! You can see where the lighthouse keeper and the five children lived in this small space. The location has a tea room built into the former main bedroom area complete with fancy teacups. There's a gift shop area with local wares including some preserves. Everything is run by volunteers and we met Carolyn who was fantastic in giving us a bit of the history as well. Very steep stairs at the top that might as well be a ladder.
What a surprise to find a tea house, museum and gift shop in a lighthouse. Well designed and cared the lady who hosted us there were so sweet! The tea and local bakery goodies are just perfect for a chilly cloudy day. Highly recommend to make a stop here.
Me and hubby went up there yesterday. Was a fantastic view, was very pleased with how clean the area was. Beautiful views of the water, easy to find also, Can even see pubnico windmills across the water. Can go into the house, and climb up to the top.. very hot in there. Also a beach a short ways into the trail. Definitely will be going back
This location is truly breathtaking and a must-visit for anyone traveling in the area. Stroll along the scenic shoreline, where the waves gently lap at the sand and the fresh ocean breeze invigorates your spirit. Don’t miss the chance to step inside and meet the knowledgeable ladies who can share fascinating stories about the history and culture of this enchanting place. Their insights will enrich your experience and deepen your appreciation for the surroundings.
If your looking for a cute spot to stop for a picnic, then try this spot. Right on the water with a few tables available.
We took a quick break from our long drive from New Brunswick, and it was a great spot to stretch our legs before we continued driving home. The fresh air was great, and it's a quiet place to look out at the Digby Neck windmills. Having a public restroom would have been nice, but unfortunately, there wasn't one.
Quaint lighthouse with a cozy tea room. The historical society has a lot of pictures and information on the walls. At the gift shop you can even buy a copy of the original blueprints.
Loved learning about the history of the lighthouse. I was even able to climb up to where the light is located.
