This is a superb inn with an outstanding location. Our room was fabulous with so many amenities. The view was gorgeous and sunsets were a pleasure to watch. The food was excellent! Also they make their own beautiful chocolate. Would love to stay longer and take the chocolate making class. Definitely going to visit again. A++++
Bed frame too big for room, a toe hazard. Bathtub jacuzzi hard to get into and out to take a shower. Nice balcony. A wedding put a real strain on restaurant service, resulting in long waits for food and drinks. Nice outdoor heated pool, sauna, and two outdoor jacuzzis under tall shade trees. Kayaks and other water crafts easy to use. Convenient to Magog and nice area for walks. Bed comfortable and sleep inducing.
We spent the night at Ripplecove (main building). The cost was $800 for 1 night with breakfast included. While the grounds are nice, and our room had a lovely view of the lake it just was not worth $800 per night. The room was tiny and dated. The shower flooded and there was mold all over it. The wall paper in the room was also falling apart. Would not be writing this bad of a review if the nightly rate was $300 but I’m sorry you cannot be charging $800 per night for this. Maybe the other buildings are nicer but the main building is in need of major renovation. 3 stars because it’s a 3 star hotel not a 5 star hotel.
This was a last minute booking after deciding to spend some time in the area. I was a little worried when we were checking in but that changed immediately upon seeing the facilities and the room. The room was perfect! Comfortable beds, clean, quiet, and an amazing lake view! We took advantage of the hot tub, sauna, and a paddle boat, ending the day at the bar for a cocktail and appetizers. Highly recommend this place. Everything was perfect, peaceful, and a great way to escape and relax.
Ripplecove had been part of our family’s celebrations for generations. We’ve always stayed at Manoir Hovey with nothing but admiration and flawless service. When I shared our family history and showed photos of weddings and gatherings at Ripplecove, we decided to book and make it our new spot. During our first visit, everything felt special. We dined on every meal at the restaurant, ordered tasting menus, and selected beautiful bottles of wine. Even the attendant at checkout seemed surprised by the total — but we felt it was worth it for the experience we received. Our second visit, however, was the complete opposite. The staff’s attitude was poor, service felt disorganized, and our room was not cleaned properly. It was hard to believe this was the same property we had raved about only weeks earlier. When we voiced our concerns, we were met with arrogance and insincere responses instead of care or accountability. I’m sure this review will be met with a generic reply to “contact guest relations” — or perhaps the indifferent front desk manager. My message to future guests: lower your expectations. If you truly want a 5-star experience, book at Manoir Hovey. Ripplecove remains completely in their shadow. Something’s are meant to stay in the past. Yikes!
I love this little M. It's so pretty on the water. Our room was so pretty it's immaculately, clean and very quiet and relaxing.. The main inn is really pretty. We ate dinner on the later side and unfortunately, our table was right by the door and it was really cold that night so I was freezing all through dinner ! I would definitely dress for the weather in this hotel as it's pretty chilly on the water but extremely beautiful. Our meal is delicious. we were there with many other big parties so service seemed a little bit stressed and we felt like we were a little bit forgotten but my husband is a chef and we understand what it's like so we were very forgiving in that sense, and our waiter was more than gracious about attending to us and apologizing for the slow service and the coldness of us sitting by the door. The next time we come, I want to make reservations for an earlier dinner because I would like to really sit and enjoy the meal. It was really quite delicious and beautifully prepared and our waiter was so nice and enjoyable.. The brunch the next morning was delicious and we did sit outside, but we were under a heat lamp, so it was even warmer than being inside !!! The view is so pretty and it's just a very peaceful spot !! We hope to come back with our family enjoy another weekend. It was just a really special spot and everyone working at the end was so kind. and pleasant.
Not a 5 stars hotel. We reserved a basic room (about 400$ plus taxes) There was 3 available; they gave us the worst; just over the reception, view on the asphalt entrance road. it’s was quite noisy. They state the check in is at 4PM, but when we arrived at noon, they said the room would be ready at 2PM. We went for a walk, came back at 2PM; the room was not ready. We waited another hour to get the room. I was appalled the last clerk insisted on the check in policy as an excuse, while other places welcomes you at 2 or 3PM. When we got into the room we were surprised to find the bed cover and pillow to be wet; it took another hour to fix. Nice sized room but many amenities were deficient. The fridge was noisy, none of the wall switches for the lights were working; we had to go to each light and switch ON/OFF manually. The air conditioning was efficient and quiet but the heating was not possible and the next morning the room was quite cold. The washroom was nice but missing a security bar in the shower as the floors were quite slippery when wet. The fan was loud and the mirrors lacked an anti-fog feature. The shaving / makeup mirror was installed way too high to be useful. The shower faucets were cheap plastic missing the gripping knobs; so with wet hands it was difficult to turn them. The Ripplecove is a nice Inn if you can pay for a higher level room. Nice property on the lake, the restaurant is quite good. Their cheaper rooms are too expensive and lacking.
Ripplecove Hotel & Spa provided a high quality experience. The rooms are beautiful, clean, bright, and comfortable. The views are breathtaking. The food and services is of very high quality. I did not use the spa but regret it.
