Really lovely attraction. The sea life is extensive, and it's interesting to see the marine life in Réunion. It's nice to see they keep the fish for a while before releasing them again. The staff are really friendly. Well worth a visit.
Nice small aquarium, ideal for visit with kids. Unfortunately, all information is in french only.
Really great experience, good information. Friendly and a super way to see the ocean life up close. We were there for 2 hours and could have stayed longer. Thank you
A very professional set up. Ticket clerks are very friendly and helpful. There is a QR code to scan which guides one through the species of fish in each tank. Very helpful. There could have been more species of fish on display considering the aquarium is on an island far from any other land masses. It was good to learn that the fish are reintroduced back into the wild.
Very nice aquarium with different fish. The staff there is very friendly and answers any questions you have. Every day they have different activities available for the public. Highly recommend for an activity in st gilles
One of the nicest aquariums I've ever been. Looks pretty new anw very well mentained. Also people from the cafeteria are very helpful: I've asked for a mixed salad, even though it was not in the menu and they made it for us!
A nice place with a lot of colorful fish. At the entrance we read fee 9€ pp but nobody asked for money. Maybe it was a black Tuesday special? I recommend the visit.
Very nice place. A lot of marine life. A bit too few sharks for me like for this island. We paid about 9€ per person. Which is not bad. The biggest pool area is incredible. You have to wait for all yelling kids to go away and then just sit on the stairs. It’s the best chilling area I’ve ever been. Music and sound of whales is incredible. And watching those beautiful fishes. It’s a must see even if it’s not very big exhibition.

Highly recommend to go an visit the garden of Eden. Whether you wanna see some exotic geckos or plants, definitely worth going. There is also a super old and large Baobab tree located in this garden.
Lovely botanical garden.
Nice garden to spend an hour. A bit expensive for what it offers.
Very lovely and unique place! Loved the variety and presentation of the jardin with the different themed areas. Great way to spend a few hours in St Gilles. Unless you are a super keen botanist or nature lover, I don't think anyone would spend more than an hour of visiting. Went after the cyclone and got a discounted price of 6 euros. I'd say 8 euros of a normal price is a bit steep. Especially considering the duration of stay (as already mentioned) and that there is no guide and very few signs. Would be great to have a guide pamphlet in English. Also would be great to have some 'Did you know?' kind of signs around the park with interesting facts about the plants. All in all, the Jardin d'Eden has been around a while and it has likely seen better days. It could do well to lower the price slightly (e.g. 5 euros) and/or offer short guided tours and/or some small activity (e.g. how the Maison du Coco does). Nonetheless, I'd say it is a key stop in St Gilles, particularly families and older couples.
Cosy little garden with many plants and trees, very well preserved and layed out. Found it a bit expensive for the size, but still we enjoyed our walk
A little too pricey for what you can see there. (€8)
Perfect for visiting with an audio guide
Very well laid out with botanical info boards. Saw my very first chameleon.

Absolutely stunning place - go visit all three Bassins, the hike is not very hard :)
Beware that this location access is forbidden you will have to get around fances, follow unmarked and unmaintained paths and be very careful of hazards (falling rocks, broken ridge, ...). That being said, the bassin des Aigrette is well rewarding and definitely worth the trip. It's the best of the 3 by far (hence also the most crowded). If you plan a hike here, come prepared with good shoes! Avoid flip flops or coming with too young children, it is dangerous and not reasonable.
Definitely one of my favorite place in Reunion. Water is little a bit cold, but that’s normal, and is super clean. We was swimming all day. It’s starting to be popular place. Worth to visit.
I saw the reviews that access was easy despite being closed and decided to go. You should absolutely go, it is beautiful but the access is quite hard and lots of people couldn't make it. It is a short hike from the parking lot but the city installed a gate to block access. A small river flows underneath the gate but they installed a metal bar about 20cm above the water level so you'll have to go in the water and for a lot of people almost dive in to go underneath the metal bar. Backpacks do not fit and will get wet. Other than that, the water is beautiful and refreshing. Recommended but not for everyone!
An enchanted place with an impressive waterfall. The small pond in front invites you to swim. Since the water there is important for the local water supply, access is officially forbidden. Therefore, please treat nature sustainably when you visit, do not pollute anything and leave no dirt behind. This is the only way to preserve a wonderful place. Street parking available. Important to know: On the way to the waterfall you either have to use a short climbing passage or get wet passing a gate.
Very beautiful place. The waterfall is breathtaking and you can swim in the pool underneath it. The walk from the road is around 1 km and the path is well prepared. The place can get crowded.
Amaizing place. Easy to go :)
So beautiful. One of the most beautiful waterfalls i have ever seen

Well organised. Beautiful decense Highly recommended
Very nice an big Tour (We had the middle one), Cool guides, Bikes good in shape, price absolut worth
(Translated by Google) Very nice atmosphere. On the other hand, the "blue" descent is rather difficult and it is simply not enough to know how to ride a bike. It is really hot. Quite disappointed that during registration, coco bike is no longer insistent on the level. Otherwise, I recommend it, very nice ride for those who can make it to the end, (Original) Ambiance très sympa.
(Translated by Google) Great descent with Stéphane and Eric. I wasn't at all comfortable at first, but they helped me get through it! Thanks again! (Original) Super descente avec Stéphane et Eric. Pas du tout à l'aise au début, ils m'ont aidée à passer le cap! Merci encore!
(Translated by Google) Today, we set off on the Maxi Coco with Fred from Coco Bikes. Advance information by phone (sometimes available in English) and on-site booking were super easy and relaxed. CASH PAYMENT ONLY accepted on-site. Bikes well-maintained and ready to ride. Helmets, gloves, and protective tops are all in decent condition. After the group meets, we'll give you a quick briefing, followed by a shuttle to the Maido parking lot. Finally, we adjusted the bikes (suspension fork pressure, etc.) and got a short but intensive introduction for less experienced riders. Riding technique, hazards, and a warm-up lap. Then we set off straight away. Over blocky lava fields with a moderate gradient towards the forest. Fred, the guide, quickly adapted to the different riding levels and adapted individual sections. This meant that every rider could get their money's worth. In summary, you should have some MTB experience. In the forest, at the latest, you'll encounter rough root sections and slightly blocky terrain. In my estimation, the terrain is S1, but mostly S2. Over about an hour, the descent is about 15 km of enduro-style terrain. Small traverses included. Finally, cool singletrack through sugar cane plantations. The only downside is the last half hour of the descent. Unfortunately, it's only on good to heavily trafficked asphalt roads back to the starting point. Overall, though, an absolute recommendation. I'd definitely do it again. One of my highlights on La Réunion. Bikes gepflegt und ready to ride. In Summe sollte man schon etwas MTB Erfahrung mitbringen. Gerne wieder. Eines meiner Highlights auf La Réunion.

Today we had a great bike-ride down from the Maïdo. We decided to go for "the beginners-tour". Under the excellent guidance from Stefan and Daniel, we had a great experience. In 4 hours we descended 32 kilometers from altitude 2200 meters to sea level. As a beginner it was sometimes difficult to enjoy the view 😉, but the ride trough the sugarcanes, bamboo and forest was superbe! Thanks guys!
I thought it was a bike shop, so this is a dh/enduro bike trail right?

We had taken the level 2/3 course and we only do mountain biking in the forests of the Yvelines. This level is difficult; you shouldn't be afraid of speed and the very diverse terrain changes: volcanic rock, branches, sand, forest, sugarcane field (yes, really), then a bit of coastal road to finish. We had a great time and I recommend it for daredevils looking for a good adventure!

(Translated by Google) We were there this weekend with my children, it was great, we got a good tan 😅 The children had a great time and so did our parents 😊 A paddling pool accessible to young children with a small slide, a lazy river, 3 large slides accessible from 5 years old. As for the bar, it was great, the breads were served quickly and generously 👍🏻 For the staff, the welcome is top notch, bar staff also top notch! On the other hand, for the slow river with the buoys the staff was unpleasant as if they didn't want to work and they spoke badly to adults and children. The showers were clean, the cabins too, the disabled toilets were clean too but the classic toilets a little less so but given the number of visitors this is understandable but perhaps we should be more careful about cleaning the toilets. We will definitely come back! Thank you for this pleasant experience. The park is very small, you can quickly get around it. The lady at reception was not particularly warm, and the man who monitored the paddling pool was also very curt in his way of speaking, especially towards the children. The snack bar had reasonable prices, but the place was invaded by flies, probably attracted by the food or the presence of cats nearby. The Mr. at the snack bar, on the other hand, was very cheerful and not unpleasant. The park could be suitable for a morning or an afternoon, but a whole day there is long because there isn't enough entertainment. For 12 euros, there is only a paddling pool and a large slide, which is quite limited for the price.

Park your vehicle at the side of the road, we spotted broken glass and a broken window in the small parking lot further up the street. You then enter through an opening in a gate, follow a dirt and stone path to a small clear water channel, follow it on your left, you arrive in front of a gate closed with a padlock. Some pass below, I advise you to climb from the top, you will find a small path with even a descent using a small rope. My 7 year old daughter got there. Arriving at the waterfall, there is not much place to rest, but you can leave your belongings on a rock and swim in clear, clean and fresh water! A natural platform of rocks allows you to gradually enter. I recommend.

You either pay €5 to use the parking lot or you're required to buy something. Access to the first two pools is relatively easy to find, but the last one is less clear. Wear sturdy shoes to avoid slipping on the paths. None of the three pools are alike. The first two feature a waterfall; the last pool resembles a natural swimming pool.
(Translated by Google) It's a very beautiful waterfall and pool. Be careful, these pools/waterfalls are prohibited and closed by the authorities. There's a fence to cross, then about a 15-minute walk downhill. Then there's a gate with a closed door (I don't think there used to be one, but there is now). You have to either go under this gate and go into the water, or cross the small canal, and on the other side, climb up to bypass the dam (there are ropes). After crossing that, there's a small wall that you have to cross, and that's it. It's still dangerous, though; some try, some don't. Be careful, it's very slippery.
(Translated by Google) Certainly very beautiful, even if it could be accessed safely. When I see this kind of sign, it leaves a bitter taste. I would prefer to read "here the state and the region have invested to ensure your safety during this walk". The money was certainly used to establish shopping centers every 10Kms, rather than to maintain the tourist heritage in good condition.
(Translated by Google) Very easy access, doable with children. The only downside: there aren't many parking spaces nearby...
