A very scenic park with stunning views formed by erosion of the Irodo River. An easy walk down to the river is a must to see the formations close up. Well worth the visit from the cruise port at Antsiranana. However the 1.5 to 2 hour journey each way was stressful as the main RN6 is not so main. A single carriageway with a conglomeration of potholes, inundated in parts, dirt track in other parts but with a few kms near Antsiranana in reasonable condition.
A dirt track of about 18km takes you to a steep but good path down to the Tsingy. It is so beautiful! It feels like ghosts cast in stone. There is another path leading up and out the valley where we were able to buy some refreshing fresh coconut. Well worth a visit.
Cool place to explore! Very hot so wear sunscreen and don’t step in the mud
Well worth the journey, an experience to walk through and the views are ones to remember
Amazing place! A must visit if you’re in Madagascar.
Really nice and impressive
Gorgeous landscape! Only fault was that some of the tourists were destroying the surroundings.
Tsingy Rouge Park. Traveling to Madagascar gives you life experiences. The best highlight will be the visit to Tsingy of Ankarana

If you are into light climbing and hiking, this place is very nice. There are two caves that you can crawl into to look at stalactites and several kinds of bats. You must bring a good headlamp, spare lamp, etc. yourself and it will be a good experience. There are still only very few tourists, so you can turn off the lights for 10 minutes. and experience total darkness and hear the bats.
Great park but becoming very touristy. Be wary of the guides - make sure you ask and make sure that they don’t touch or bother the animals - we saw a guide throwing rocks at a lemur to make it move. The long trek is about 8 miles and the green lake is closed.
Visited October 2024. Great park, a bit busy for the bridge crossing, went early to avoid too much sun/heat and did the short tsingy circuit with a visit to the big hole. Tsingy views here are much more expansive than at Bemaraha, it's like another planet. The highlight here was the wildlife sighting our guide found us 3 excellent camouflaged leaf-tailed geckos and a handful of lemurs that we observed peacefully.
5 stars for the national park: amazing and really impressive views of the Tsingys. I actually preferred the Tsingys here over the very popular ones in Bemaraha. However we got unlucky with the guide. It looks like it's better to book a guide in advance as when we showed up in the morning asking for a wildlife expert, we got a random Joe who didn't even know the names of common bird species. Still very much worth it but guides are hit or miss.
wanted to make a hike and possibly night hike but because we arrived at 14:45 they said no one can enter the park past 14:30 .. so after driving 3 hours because of 15 min delay not allowed to visit .. then asked if possible to come at 6 in the morning so that could visit and then have time to make it to Nosy Be .. this was also not allowed because the park is also closed in the morning .. very badly run 🙁
Not worth the cost of admission. I did enjoy the walk but scenery was ok at best. Find another place if you only have a short amount of time.
We just had 5 hours so we were not able to see it all. But what we saw was great! If you are in the north of Madagascar and don't mind a long bumpy ride to the park, then please don't miss this beautiful park.
Great park to see the tsingy, some baobabs and the odd lemur. Though this is one of the most expensive park to get into in Madagascar at 65 000 ariary (2017) and in my opinion this is overpriced although the park is still very nice.

Great place of natural beauty. Lovely colored beaches and emerald seas. Great for kite surfing, some nice food available and friendly people. Make sure you have a 4x4
Beautiful spot. Nice for windsurf and kitesurf. It recently held the first festikite of Mada. However, this makes it too windy if you just want to lay down on the beach as the sand will be constantly blown in your face.
So blue So wild So beautiful. Better going there walking an continue around all the bays
(Translated by Google) Sakalava Bay is a paradise for surfers. We were only on the beach for a short time, but the view spoke for itself. The sandy beach, the sea in many shades of blue and green, and the colorful umbrellas floating above it are magical. The wind was strong, but that's exactly why kitesurfers come here. (Original) A Sakalava öböl a szörfösök paradicsoma.

We had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful beach, which offers a truly picturesque setting. The atmosphere is relaxed, with small vendors offering a variety of local products, adding a charming touch to the experience. Additionally, the beach serves as a convenient starting point to catch a boat to the stunning Emerald Beach, a must-see destination nearby. The boat ride itself is an unforgettable experience, with breathtaking views along the way. Overall, this beach is a fantastic spot to both relax and explore the beauty of the surrounding area.
Great people and best way to get to mer d’emeraude
Beach is clean and amazing people
Paradise! Sunset Beach vibe.
Beautiful. Silent.
Just the best place where I had been
Beautiful beach. Clear waters
