i recommend this place. the buggy is so much fun. good service and they offer you water and the price was just right. Lauren and the crew are very nice people. the view is amazing. i will definitely come back again.
Amazing experience except price. Thay charged us 100 dollara for unprofessional, terrible blurred photos. I dont get it... Food was terrible with the flies around, all screamed like some stomach virus. Waterfalls were great on the other hand.
I was the only 1 today due to rain & they let me drive. It was Awesome! Please I beg you.. stop & take in the beautiful country side. Take both video & pictures. This is such a beautiful country
We had soooo much fun at this ranch. We came to Amber Cove on a Holland America cruise ship, but never want to pay the high excursion costs. We found this on trip advisor and weren't sure if it was going to be a good quality trip. But we had so much fun! The horses were well behaved and the guides were helpful amd kind. When making the arrangements, be sure to let them know what time your ship comes in and leaves, the name of the ship and line you're cruising. When you get to the port, do not exit the property for a taxi. Talk to the taxi agents on the property. Tell them you are going to Rancho Los Cacaos and they will find your driver. If you are only doing the short ride and have time to tour the town after, your cab driver will wait for you and take you to town to show you the sights for far less than the cruise ships also. Your driver will be your personal tour guide, stopping wherever you want to! Rancho Los Cacaos is an awesome first stop to your day in the Dominican Republic.
The buggy is so much fun. The view is Beautiful. The staff are very nice and polite. I definitely recommend this place.
Excellent buggy experience, but short horseback riding experience. However, all staff and owner very courteous and professional.
Loved the buggies had so much fun, friendly staff, kids lived it would recommend it if you like to get dirty.
Great place to go buggy riding and horseback riding. One of the horses was acting up but we had a great time.

It’s a decent cruise port to stop at. It’s a dock port which makes it nice. Lot of tourist shopping at the port. Taxi service is good. Several good restaurants to eat local food. Relaxed atmosphere on the island. For a cruise day stop it’s fun but can’t see staying more than half a day. Island is very small.
I'm not real big on excursions. I love chilling at the ports, shopping, or listening to the island sounds of a local musician or vibing by the pool as the DJ spins the tunes. Amber Cove is one of my favorite ports as it offers all of the above with a cute little cafe that serves great deserts and amazing coffee. I literally can spend all day there. I highly recommend a cruise that stops at Amber Cove. You won't be disappointed.
We don't do excursions. I have seen more than enough movies to know better than to venture out into unknown countries. Especially considering its next to a country that is at war with itself. The port however was very nice. Plenty of shops and things to do.
Carnival Cruise docked here. Outside the cruise, you will only find Carnival's ship excursions, and you can pay for them with your key card. No outside vendors. We paid for a 4-hour city tour and a 2-hour beach visit: $40 per adult and $30 for kids. It was a nice tour with a beautiful beach. There were free chairs and umbrellas at the beach. Clean toilets, showers and a restaurant.
A Beautiful side of the dominican Republic, worth the cruise as a first stop. Catamaran and snorkel was great, good. Lunch also and lots of fun. Crew was amazing on our excursion.
We spent most of our time in the large pool but definitely enjoyed amazing bar service delivered poolside! Some of us Ziplined across the rest of us in the pool. Lots of fun!
This is one of the best cruise ports that I have been to. It us clean and you are not getting heckled be every vendor. The pool, swim up bar, slide, and zip lines are great.
Came here from the Carnival Vista. Unless you get off early then you will have a very hard time finding a place by the pool. No close beaches and expensive shops. Just stay on your boat at this port.
