A Great Experience Supporting a Worthy Cause We visited the Puerto Vallarta Zoo during our trip, and while some of the reviews had made us hesitant, we’re so glad we went. This is a non-profit zoo that truly needs support from visitors like us to care for the animals and improve their conditions. The unique part of this zoo is how close you can get to the animals. Feeding them was a memorable experience for our family —it’s not something you can do at many other zoos. While some enclosures could use improvement, it’s important to remember that this zoo relies on donations and ticket sales to keep going. By visiting, you’re directly helping them continue their work, and hopefully, over time, the conditions will improve even more. If you’re in Puerto Vallarta, I encourage you to stop by and support this small, local zoo. It’s a great opportunity to connect with animals up close while helping a non-profit dedicated to their care.
Loved being able to feed all the animals ❤️ This zoo needs more funding! The feeding part was amazing, hand feeding an ostrich was terrifying but so cool. The spider monkeys have such personality, and we learned this zoo has the highest tiger reproduction rate out there. Highly recommend! The zoo is STEEP so wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
This place was amazing while the vip pass may look daunting it was so worth the experience the interaction with animals was unparalleled and holding the lion cub was a once in a lifetime experience they treated the animals well and all the big cats immediately came to the bars to purr and say hi to all the workers clearly they are fond of each other. Feeding the monkeys and birds and the ostrich and emu and everything was so much fun the jungle it’s in was beautiful and the layout is so immersive. Shoutout to the reception guy I forgot his name but he was so funny remember they are a non profit so taxis and Ubers and vendors will say oh the zoo is (insert criticism) but that’s just because there’s no extra money or agreement for them because it’s a non profit please don’t let that deter you from this amazing experience never been too a zoo where you could hand feed almost all the animals if you give it a chance you won’t be disappointed oh and the guy who does the handling for the cubs seems like he cared so much and really loved animals it made me feel like they were aactually In caring hands
This is a very unique zoo where you get to experience an up close encounter with the animals. It is fun to hand feed most. It is unfortunate that it is underfunded primarily due to lack of visitors. If you love animals, I would recommend a visit to this zoo to support the animal care. Bug spray is a must. I purchase 4 bags of food and don't have a problem getting it consumed, lol.
A must visit for any families visiting PVR. My two kids, my wife and I really enjoyed the experience. We spent almost three hours because the kids loved the variety of animals, enjoyed feeding them. Shout out to Alfredo the zoo guard who was super helpful. Overall it’s a the most interactive zoo we have ever been to. we encountered monkeys and feed them! We were so close to flamingos too. You won’t get lost in this zoo because it’s just a one path to follow. We loved seeing the Lynx, white tiger, zebra, dingo, jaguar (my favorite), giraffe, etc. We brought our own food and we all ate inside the zoo on a bench. If you are an animal or jungle lover then you must make a stop and experience this very unique place. Just bring your food, water, bug spray and enjoy the jungle! We have visited all California Bay Area Zoo but this one is definitely the best we have seen!
The zoo is very unique in the fact that you get to be super close to animals and you get to hand feed as you walk unguided through the zoo. We spent two hours here and only paid for one food bag. It tells you what animals you can and cannot feed and it’s really easy to find your way around as it’s only a one way. I don’t recommend bringing a stroller and would say it’s not very wheelchair friendly. Some of the routes get steep going up and downhill. Bring comfortable walking/hiking shoes, bug spray and water because you will get sweaty.
The zoo was a great experience for us but a 1 star experience for animals. The atmosphere was close to a Jurassic park movie as we were the only customers and we did not see any staffs. We were alone and very close to animals. You could see very rare animals that I haven’t seen in any other zoos, white tigers, black jaguars and rare swans. The layout is like a hike and ground was slippery so be cautious if you go there with kids
Great zoo experience. My family with teens loved feeding the animals. We did the standard admission and had a blast. We got here via Uber. The pick up at the zoo took 15 minutes as it is a bit off the road.

Eden is a relaxing place go unwind. The offer restaurant with good food, lagoons with hammocks, swings and small waterfalls. Zip line is well worth the visit. The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable and fully focused on you having a positive experience. You can purchase a ticker for the just the water are or one that includes the zip lines.
My group of 5 visited on 11/2/25. We all had a great time. Some had never donr zipline before. There were 9 lines. There's a good bit of hiking up to each line and it can get difficult to breathe but the guides take their time. There's water access along the way and stopping to catch your breath will help. The staff are all very nice, professional, fun and energetic. If you like to hang upside down they will help you enjoy your zipline adventure. The area was the site of the filming of the movie Predator. They have a lot more to offer here. The food was delicious. The drinks were great. There are natural pools, a waterfall and beautiful places to lounge in hammocks and relax. I recommend spending a day here and enjoying every moment. If you go tell Richie, Mi Amore, I said HI!
I’ve done zip lining in the states before, but it doesn’t compare to zip lining in the jungles of Puerto Vallarta. Getting there was just as scary as the actual zip lining. We traversed on narrow dirt roads up into the jungle in a big bus. Once we arrived, they took us to the restaurant to order food (not included) for when you are done zip lining. The zip lining experience it self was scary but extremely thrilling. Being that high gave me the shakes, but after my second zip line, I started to feel comfortable. The staff made sure to involve myself and partner, as we don’t speak Spanish. Overall, it was so much fun and would do it again. I highly recommend a lot of bug spray and be ready to spend most of your morning and afternoon there, as it is a hike to get there and the return is on a timed bus that everyone takes back. We left at 10:30AM and got back to our resort around 3:45PM.
The tour drive up to this area is worth it! If you like a bit of contained danger, take this trip up to Eden. There is a lot to do for adventure seekers. Plus it's the filming site for Preditor! The restaurant had pretty good service but the food was ok. BRING PHYSICAL CURRENCY! No cell service means no credit/debit!
We went as part of a city tour tour. Not worth it that way because we arrive until 1:15 pm and spent only 2 hours. It's a bit far and small. And the food at the restaurant isn't good and overpriced. Unless you go on your own, avoid it at all costs.
At the end of a long and winding road there are 2 parks with river bassins, hiking, ziplines, restaurants and amenities. We did the Edenva and it is beautiful. Most people go on a tour from Vallarta, we drove. Takes about 45 mins from Vallarta, including a dirt road into the reserve that was less scary than we thought. Spend a few hours in good company, in the middle of the jungle with some very fun ziplines!
I had an amazing experience zip lining! It's so incredibly beautiful there. All the staff was super friendly especially Ricky! I highly recommend.
Omg I LOVE THIS PLACE! Temo did a solid. Yeah the hiking was a good work out, but it felt good! The food and drinks were amazing everyone was great! Now that’s customer service, when ur carrying a drunk ssa person down a hike to make sure they are ok? Wow just great. We couldn’t be more grateful! and the ziplines were so much fun. It was raining after, but it was perfect weather to jump in the water. The experience and team was overall beyond. I can’t wait to come back

If you're seeking an incredible paddling adventure, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, this tour is a must-do! The team, including Kevin and Santiago, truly exceeded our expectations! They made safety a top priority while ensuring that everyone had a fantastic time! Upon arriving at the beach, you'll find a charming area complete with restrooms and food and beverage services. If you want to change into dry clothes afterward, they provide storage for your belongings, as they recommend paddling light. Before hitting the water, the staff conducts an informative kayak and paddle tutorial, filled with useful tips for everyone! Don’t forget to ask about their complimentary GoPro photos! Our pictures turned out fantastic, and the staff did a wonderful job of capturing our memorable moments! We opted for the super paddle, where we explored stunning rock formations and caves, and were fortunate enough to witness some bioluminescence as the sun set. Many participants took advantage of the opportunity to swim, with goggles and masks provided! If you love paddling in the ocean, this experience is not to be missed!
Family of 5- holiday excursion We had an excellent adventure with Ramses and Kevin as our guides- their positive and capable support helped us have a great experience at Los Arcos! Kayaking on the water was gorgeous- the scenery is awesome- and the pace of the tour was perfect for our varying abilities. Good value as well. What a way to end 2024 and say hello to the new year! Highly recommend. Update July 2025: After being sent the wrong link, we never did receive our photos taken by the guides that were promised to us. If you can send those, we would so appreciate it!
We did the Bioluminescent night kayak and snorkel. It was so much fun, very safe, and probably the highlight of everyone's trip to PV. The crew at paddle zone were 11/10, making sure everyone had snacks and water all the time, even we got back they had a spread of fresh fruits and a fire going (they even had cocoa and marshmallows). The kayaking was really chill and paddling through the caves was really great. We had people who never kayaked before and the guides took great care of them and they loved it!! Would def recommend!
Wonderful experience! Beautiful sunsets, interesting caves. Explained a lot about their culture and their wildlife and what they are doing to protect it. Wish we would have seen more bioluminescence though.... All in all a fabulous trip and they went out of their way for all of us 💓 a definite must on your bucket list 🥰
Our family (with kids ages 15, 10 and 8) had an AMAZING time with Paddle Zone!!! Highly recommend! From helping me with our booking to the end of our trip, all staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. Alberto recommended the sunrise tour with the starship paddle board when we couldn’t decide which to take. He arranged for a shuttle to pick us up from our hotel because it was a very early pick up (350 am!— worth it!) Felipe picked us up and took us back— we had good conversation through the ride. Kevin and Rodolfo were our guides. They were great on the water with us— sharing info AND leading us to see the bioluminescence! It was magical to be out on the water— so quiet, calm and beautiful. We had a chance to swim and see the bioluminescence in the darkness of a cave and snorkel in clear water once the sun rose. They offered us coffee before the tour and delicious fruit and juices after. They also take pictures during the trip so we didn’t have to worry about that. I really appreciate that they include that as a service and that it’s not something we have to pay extra for. 5 out of 5 for sure!!!
Yes! If you’re looking into Paddle Zone, they are wonderful. We kayaked out to Los Arcos sunset tour and it was amazing. Kevin and ulysses were fun, knowledgeable and took care of the whole group. Highly recommend booking with this small company that pays attention to all the details. 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Excellent bioluminescent paddle with a fantastic crew. Corina was our driver from and back to town. Alberto and Ulyses were our guides and Memo assisted with the push offs and unload Our evening started with a slow paddle to Los Arcos. Along the way we encountered some humpback whales. Early arrivals from the annual migration. We paddled thru a couple arches until it got dark enough to see the photo plankton. I could see some at the top but it was magical underwater. Our guides Alberto and Ulysses went out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable while we paddled in the dark. I have been to several night paddles in different places but the crew made this one special. We returned to a spread of fruits and snacks prepared by Corina and Memo. Firepit and hot cocoa were a nice touch.
Exceeded my expectations. A beautiful sunset kayak followed by swimming with Bioluminescence. The guides were friendly and had a good vibe. When we returned to shore, we were greeted with some snacks and hot chocolate over a small camp fire before returning to our accommodation. It was great value for the spend. Highly recommend.

AMAZING!! I honestly can’t find the words……. Sooo beautiful and the locals make you feel right at home!! Makes you want to never leave!!! ☀️🌊🏝️🙏🇲🇽♥️🦀🐬🦜📣🥂☕️🌮
Such a cool location! Hidden little Beach cove with white sand and blue water. We came here to get our boat to go snorkeling. You can spend an afternoon here easily. Places to eat and small little shops as well.
Great beach, beautiful blue green water, gorgeous views! Worth the visit 👍
Spent an amazing day on this beautiful beach. Got a discount for snorkeling. Food from the restaurant on the beach was amazing
Wow! When we were there, the beach was perfectly empty and it felt very secluded, even though theres a big all inclusive resort right there. The small walk on the south side of the beach is gorgeous. You can see the Islands of Arches national park. The only negative was the tour guys harassing us as we entered the beach, but fortunately once we got away from the area they hang out in, they didnt continue to bother us.
Nice little beach area in the bay. There is a short walking path as well as restaurants and vendors nearby.
Lovely beach with nice golden sand and clear waters. Had a great day here...our only issue was with the limited food options on the beach and the primitive bathroom facilities. Both bars/restaurants we went to didn’t have running water or flushing toilets. You had to dump a bucket of water in. Wasn’t a huge issue, but I always imagined this locale to be a bit more sophisticated. Regardless, I would still return
One of the worst beach to visit , please don’t go here if you want to relax … the water is nasty do to the boats … no regulations in this place … unless you like being in a dirty place … don’t spend your money here, there’s is other beaches. 10/20/2024

We had a wonderful one-hour snorkel trip with our family! After deciding snorkeling was NOT for them, my kiddos stayed on the boat while my husband and I explored and saw eagle rays, an eel, and a puffer fish (plus SO MANY others). Going at 9am beat the crowds and we just had a great time. Lily was super responsive and helpful (we used Whatsapp!) and her father was a great captain and guide. Will definitely call them again when we're back in PV.
We feel very grateful and lucky to have found this place. A local family business nevertheless with excellent planning, service and quality. Everything was super personalized for our needs. We went to two tours with them; scuba diving and fishing. In both occasions the guides knew exactly where to go to see and get the good stuff. Everything was prepared for us to enjoy, we felt safe and had a blast. Caught 10+ fish the first one right after departure. Absolutely recommended! Thanks Lily and Chipol! ✨
Great dive today with Lily from Mismaloya Adventures. Fantastic communication, great equipment and a shop that has been in business for almost 4 decades. Do not hesitate to book your next Scuba or snorkeling trip with them.
Mismaloya Adventures is the place to go if you’re looking for an amazing diving adventure (or any aquatic activity) in PV or the surrounding area. The whole business is family-run, and it was a great time. My dad and I had an amazing time diving with Lily at Los Arcos, Majahuitas, and the South Area. She was a very knowledgeable, professional, and kind guide in and out of the water. Lily helped us see and spot lots of underwater life, such as octupus (3!!!), big pufferfish, and starfish. There was so much sealife, it was beautiful! For a family with very low Spanish skills, Lily’s English was perfect, and there was no barrier in communication. She’s great! We had the best time with Mismaloya Adventures, and we would book again in a heartbeat if we ever visit PV again. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone who is visiting or planning on it! Thank you to Lily and to Mismaloya Adventures for helping us have the best scuba trip ever! 🪸🐙🌅🚤🙏🫶💗
We started off by booking on trip advisor, a day snorkelng in puerta Vallarta, we were met by the Daughter Lilly, who took very good care of us, sizing our great to all our family. We then met the Captain, Chipol, and boy is he a great guide and allot of fun!!! The boat ride over was amazing, but the snorking made the day. Captian was very knowledgeable in the sights and fish. My 10 year old daughter and 71 year old ?Mom had a blast, and the captain kept me busy telling me stories along the trip. After we got back, there were showers and bathrooms to change. I would highly recommend this trip and the price was excellent!! Thanks!!!
We booked a dive to Los Arcos through their website. Lily was very responsive through WhatsApp and answered all my questions. We had a perfect day with excellent conditions. Tons of wildlife and we had a private tour with just the 3 of us, Lily and Manuel the boat captain. Hope we can come back and dive again with mismaloya adventures.
Mismaloya Adventures was amazing. We cannot say enough about our experience. First of all, we were able to connect with them on WhatsApp, and Lily responded right away. We asked some basic questions because, of course, as a tourist, we were confused about what was the best tour to do the snorkeling. Right away, we could tell that they would be the best. Lily was amazing and helped us book our snorkeling adventure. They made it really simple by sending a map, giving us information on what to bring and how to prepare. When we arrived, it was super easy - we were greeted by Miguel. Miguel ended up taking us out because no one else had booked, so we essentially got a private charter ride. It was absolutely amazing; he was the nicest guy in the world. Got all the equipment ready, took us out to the snorkeling spot, and personally made sure that we were safe and knew where to snorkel. He waited in the boat while we took our time and had an amazing snorkeling experience. There are a lot of choices for snorkeling in the area if you look online. But I can tell you 100% that not just the best value but the absolute best experience is here. We recommend them highly for every single thing you can imagine, including the personal experience that we got. If you're trying to find the best snorkeling experience, just book with them. You will not be disappointed.
The views were great, the local guide we had was very very friendly and helpful pointing things out as we went on a boat ride to find a snorkling spot. Unfortunately the water was a little merky the day we went out, so the tour was cut shorter than we expected. He still took us to see the arches, which are nice to see, however we didn't snorkel in that spot due to the water not being clear.

We had the very best experience! A family of 7, we went whale watching, snorkeling, cliff jumping and beach cruising. Sergio Jr. was an excellent captain and great photographer. Will definitely book again when we come back!
Thanks for taking us out and making the trip enjoyable. We had fun exploring, snorkeling and whale watching. Also getting to chat with you and learning about your fun life experience. Thank you for recommending a great massage spot.
The experience with Sergio is so great we actually ended up going out on the boat two times during our trip to PV. It was by far our favorite part of visiting and we look forward to returning and seeing who we now feel is our friend. Junior and Chris were awesome and incredibly helpful throughout our second day - and ceviche masters! Definitely book with Galilea if you want to go CATCHING.
Sergio and Junior were the most amazing team! They set up a private snorkeling tour for us on short notice and tailor made the trip to exactly what we wanted. They pampered us and made us feel very special. I cautioned them about my limitations and they catered to us in every way to make our experience not only lovely and fun, but also made me feel very safe and confident in their abilities. They gave us an unforgettable experience and all the beautiful pictures and videos to preserve our memories for a lifetime! I can't say enough wonderful things about Sergio and Junior. Thank you, Sergio and Junior!! God Bless! Until we meet again!
My dad and I went fishing yesterday with Galilea boat tours. Did the all day tour which was worth it. Had fresh ceviche on the boat which was delicious. After the day we went back to Sergios restaurant and they cooked some of the fish up and it was incredible. Amazing day altogether. Thank you Sergio, Junior and the other guy (sorry forgot your name 😅). Awesome crew. If you're going to go deep sea fishing do it right, spend the money and do the whole day tour so you can go where the big fish are 😁 🐟
BEST DAY EVER!!! 10 out of 10! 100 stars and more! Sergio and his crew are amazing! We booked a private charter and had the best day of our lives! He took us: along the coast line, pointed out points of interest; Snorkeling (amazing!) around the Los Arcos through a cave, fed fish and they took the best pictures of all of us in the water too!; Horse back riding to a waterfall then into the waterfall (again amazing!); Had lunch at a boat to only beach where the restaurant was the best food from our entire trip!; Got out the "banana" for some ocean tubbing! This was the best 6 hours of our lives! All of us LOVED the entire day with them. I have put him on speed dial so the next time we are in PV we will FOR SURE be calling Sergio! Unfortunately, Sergio has now ruined all future excursions with anyone other than he and his team. We loved every minute with them and will be back to PV just to book time with them again! Thank you Sergio for the best day ever!
My family and I were eagerly anticipating a 90-minute snorkeling trip, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, but we were disappointed that we were taken to Los Arcos despite your awareness that it was closed for snorkeling due to an accident the previous day. We were further dismayed that we were still charged for the boat ride, even though the snorkeling activity couldn't take place as planned. We believe this situation was mishandled and left us feeling misled and dissatisfied. We hope you will take our feedback into consideration and improve how you communicate with and treat your customers in the future
What a great day exploring the Banderas Bay around Puerto Vallarta with Sergio. He was easy to schedule with and will even talk on the phone to iron out details. ($125USD a person + tax). He customized our itinerary to our interests (no fishing) and our group of 15 gays fit on his boat no problem. They even let us take over the speaker! Picked us up right on the Mismaloya beach, 15 mins from our villa and minutes from where Sergio grew up — a real local! His energy was infectious and we had a blast with him and his crewmate Chris. First we snorkeled around the Los Arcos national park. We saw a mata ray and Chris even swam to the bottom to pull a starfish for us to hold. Then we whale watched for an hour or so and eventually saw a humpback whale fully breach! It was once in a lifetime sighting as evident by my SCREAMING in the video. Maybe the complimentary mescal they were plying us with had something to do with it. Next he took us to some beautiful private beaches in the South before lunch in Las Animas. He had a table of 15 waiting for us at one of the restaurants. (A friend I'm sure.) Personally I would have preferred to dine on the beach (maybe make this clear if you want the same) but with a big group, it was perfect. The restaurant staff treated us very well. Finally, before heading home, Chris took us to us cliff jumping just off Mismaloya beach. Dont expect anything safe/sanctioned but man was it thrilling (and thankfully no one was hurt.) Chris, always the showman, did a backflip! All around a perfect day at sea and a great taste of the nature PV has to offer. Highly recommend.
