Views from the Tacaná Volcano You are watching Tajumulco Volcano and Santa María and a little bit of Atitlán Volcano 🌋💙🙌🏼 If your plan is to hike this 4092 mts Volcano, go to sleep to Casa Yolanda, on the base of the Volcano, in Los Trigales Toniná. You can access going from Tapachula (Mx) with a Van to Cacahoatán, then, another to Unión Juarez (ask to go to Talquián). You have a 1 hrs walk up through “La Línea” until Los Trigales, and another to Casa Yolanda. You can sleep there and eat beautiful food from their own garden and it’s not expensive at all. Incredible to live and share this local life experience with them. The hike from there to the top is between 4 to 6 hours. To start around 3/4 am is highly recommend it so you can see the sunrise really high. You can rent some tents and sleeping bags over there if you wanna camp up on the Volcano ( they will tell you where). I also really recommend to do a Temazcal on the house of Severlú after the hike to complete the whole local experience 🙏🏼. Hope this review can help you! Wish you a great hike 🙌🏼🌋💙. @panchopanessi
It is a large walk, but once you get to the top you know it was worth it. Been there 3 times and planning to be there again.
It's about 8 hrs hiking to the top, there's 2 places where you can spend the night in the middle of the hike, great views and safe
It is a beautiful place but we did not have the same experience as some others have shared and we were not prepared enough. We started from Juárez and we did not bring much food, water or camping équipement as we were told there are 2 places along the way to sleep and buy food.We left at 10 am at 5pm we were not at the top and did not find the places to eat or sleep. We found a camp site were we decided to sleep and nearly froze to death overnight. There was snow on the ground when we woke up. Still without food, we reached the top after few more hours of hiking. And did the ascent back until dark. It was beautiful at sunrise but make sure you are well organise and I still don’t understand where those places to sleep and eat are...
@ Kayden Noseworthy it is in Tacana, Guatemala....
