We had the most amazing day seeing the reef up close with amazing guides and crew. We had an out of this world experience with the manta rays gliding slow and doing flips right under us. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to have an awesome day out to explore Ningaloo. Oh and do your self a favour and buy the photos. $75 and we received over 200 of the most amazing photos capturing a once is a life time for us.
Really nice tour !! I was diving, my sister was snorkelling. We saw many animals especially a manta ray. The corals were really beautiful on the second dive 😍 The crew was really kind and we had a great meal. I recommend them for sure. Thank you
Very nice team! We had an amazing day on the boat. The diving and the snorkeling were amazing and so much fun. We were diving groups with 5 divers which was a nice small size. We saw a manta ray, sharks, turtles and much more. Highly recommended!
Perfetcly organized trip in a slightky windy November day (not ideal conditions). Despite the weather, the guides brought us to several magnificnet sites, ensured a close encounter with a school of mantas and led us to a secluded reef where we could lurk over a Tiger Shark ! All while infoming us about marine life, conservation and climate change. Great day !
What a fantastic time we had with Ningaloo Reef Dive. Very well organised and professional team. Vikki, Steph and the rest of the team were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience special. The kindness and generosity given to myself and my son will last a lifetime and we will be forever grateful . The diving and snorkelling was very special. We spent 2 days diving with the crew. We were very lucky to see numerous aquatic life. Including Leopard shark, reef sharks, turtles and the absolute stars Mantas. We were very lucky over the 2 days to have 3 on the first day and 6 on the 2nd day. The focus on conservation, whilst giving exceptional customer service is an absolute credit to them all. I would highly recommend Ningaloo Reef Dive to anyone visiting Coral Bay or the surrounding area of WA. Thanks again to all at Ningaloo Reef Dive. Ian & Alfie Ward
Had a great day out and we were also fortunate with the weather and sightings on the day. Several mantas for the snorkel, some sharks on the dives and some whale watching in between. Staff were friendly and helpful and all the guests returned with big smiles on their faces.
Awesome experience diving with this company. Good boat and good equipment. Safety is well covered and the dive guides are great. The onboard photographer is amazing and the pictures are well worth purchasing.
We went snorkelling yesterday as a family of four (kids 10 and 8) and it was absolutely amazing! The crew were friendly, professional, and made us feel completely comfortable in the water. The experience was unforgettable and we saw so much marine life. Highly recommend!

As a family of four we just did the whale shark tour (7y/9y). Absolutely amazing! The tour starts by meeting the day before to fit wetsuits/ flippers to reduce flapping on the day. We met at 7.20 for a 7.30 depart to boat ramp. Starts by having a guided snorkel on the reef before the spotter plane heads out and we go to the deep blue waiting for a whale shark. We were very fortunate to see and swim with whale sharks, turtles, sharks and an abundance of fish! We did another snorkel on the outer reef on the way back. The staff are amazing, enthusiastic, friendly and engaged. We were lucky to have a great group. The food was fresh and delicious and we never felt hungry. We always felt safe, often a guide at the front and another at the rear keeping the gang together. They accommodated all levels of swimmers with some people using noodles. They were fantastic with the kids, didn't baby them and they had the same experience as everyone. This is an expensive tour but includes transfers, gear hire, spotter plane, on board photographer with photos included, lunch/ snacks/ drinks and trustworthy staff.
Best wild animal encounters I have done. If you are choosing between multiple options this is by far the best. Had the most awesome day out. Swimming with the whales was better than you can imagine. The crew were awesome, boat was really nice. And a big shout out to Pedro (Ship Hand) for going out his way to make sure we got the best out of the day. High recommend.
Incredible experience on the Ningaloo Reef! 🪸🤿 We recently went on the Marine Eco Safari in Coral Bay and I can’t express how lovely the crew were, so friendly and supportive as well as very informative and knowledgeable with the wildlife. I’m still surprised by how much time we actually spent in the water and just how much of the reef we saw! Multiple close-up manta ray encounters (bucket list worthy experience) including a mating train of three swimming together, as well as seven turtles, a shark, and by far the healthiest looking coral I’ve seen in Ningaloo. We also saw several humpback whales from the boat deck. The photographer did a really great job, but primarily took photos of just the wildlife (not many shots with people in) and was an additional charge - completely worth it though, I bought the package as the photos were stunning and reasonably priced! The boat itself (Thunder) was really clean and comfortable, although it did bounce around on the waves quite a lot so remember to take sea sickness medication beforehand! Snorkelling equipment was high quality - no complaints! Thank you! 🩵
I recently did the whale shark dive with Coral Bay EcoTours, and it was absolutely incredible! The crew were quick to get us out to the sharks — we ended up swimming with four whale sharks throughout the day. Every crew member was knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely caring, which made the whole experience feel safe, relaxed and unforgettable. We were also really well fed, which was a great touch after such an exciting day in the water! What I really appreciated is that a portion of the tour fee goes towards whale shark research. It felt amazing to know I was contributing to something important while having such a special, personal experience. I’d jump at the chance to do this again and would highly recommend Coral Bay EcoTours to anyone heading up this way. If you’re looking for something to do — this is it!
Wonderful mante ray tour!!! We saw one big female followed by two males. It was beautiful! We also saw a big turtle while on the boat and two reef sharks while snorkeling. Great food, great staff and perfect trip!
We just returned from an amazing day with eco tours. We took the full day manta ray tour. The whole experience was great, as a family traveling with 4 kids (including two toddlers) the team was super helpful with the snorkeling kids, really helping in the water, providing floaters, etc. first part of the day is snorkeling and getting used to the equipment, second part is a few rounds of swimming with the giant manta rays, they use a spotter airplane, and last part is another really nice snorkeling, we saw turtles, sharks, unicorn fish, and more. They also provide wet suits and all the snorkeling gear. Photography is by third party and not included. The whole experience was chill. A special thanks to the amazing guide Flor, who really helped the kids in the water, helping our 6 yo relax and enjoy the experience, even when they don't speak the same language l. Highly recommended.
We came to Coral Bay especially for the snorkeling and humpback whale safari and left with the best experience ever - On the safari we saw so many humpbacks, 3 turtles, an octopus and more! @coralbayeco thank you, you have an amazing crew. From Paul the skipper, Paula, Lu - underwater photographer and all of the crew (sorry don’t know other names) you were knowledgable, thorough and you clearly love what you do. We highly recommend. Photo credit @lu.fitti
What a day! Skipper Adrian and Lieutenant Dan did a phenomenal job as did the rest of the crew. We swam with the Manta Ray, saw dolphins playing with 2 hump back whales inside the reef and in crystal clear waters. We were very lucky today. Thanks Team.

We booked this Manta tour super last minute and decided to drive down to coral bay from Exmouth. This tour exceeded both of our expectations! Ellie, Ayla and Naomi were so lovely and so knowledgeable about all of the wildlife on the Ningaloo. Cole managed to find us humpback whales, dugongs, and some of the clearest visibility turquoise blue snorkel spots we have ever seen. An unforgettable day out. Thank you so much for loving what you do and sharing it with us! xx Adriana & Hannah Adelaide, SA
What an amazing crew!!! Had an amazing day snorkelling some of the most incredible reef, swam with Manta Rays AND a Whale Shark! But just as impressive as the incredible natural wonders we experienced was the crew! I can not speak highly enough of Fraser and the girls! Their attention to detail, patience, knowledge of the sea life and ocean was absolutely amazing! They made the day super fun and relaxed and we were treated like royalty! If you’re going to do a tour and you want the best, these are your people! Great photography too!
Did the manta tour twice in a two week period with our 7 month old. 100% most amazing experience! Two completely different days with different interactions, making it so worth it. We’ll be booking again every time we’re up without a doubt. Everyone was easy to chat to and knowledgeable, the photos they take are incredible and free. Just book it.
We super happy to have chosen Ningaloo Marine Interactions. Visiting at Ningaloo Reef for the first time, we were keen to do one of the boat tours. Being two families with several kids aged 7, 9, and 13, not all being strong swimmers or confident snorkelers, I realised a humpback whale swim or even a whale shark swim wouldn’t work for us. (Those tours go out past the reef and need you to be a confident swimmer and snorkeler to participate.) So I was thrilled to find the Manta Ray Experience with these guys. The tour hosts 20 participants, and they looked after everyone perfectly, especially the little kids. The whole day was so enjoyable. We swam in three different locations: firstly to go visit a shark cleaning station … the shark was there getting his regular clean from other fish; secondly, to swim with a very athletic and friendly manta ray; and lastly to swim amongst hordes of fish and loads of coral. Great staff, hospitable and knowledgeable. Oh, and the boat is a large catamaran and therefore quite stable - important for my daughter and I who sometimes suffer from motion sickness (ie. we didn’t). Another plus is the staff take professional photos in and out of the water, and clients have access to all the photos as part of the package. Would go with these guys again for sure!
MUST DO tour with specifically this company ! Lili, Naomi and Fraser were incredible. Very kind. As marine biologists they have a lot of knowledge, took us to the best spots and guided us making me feel safe and comfortable. Got to swim with mantas, sharks, turtles, lots of beautiful fish and coral. Also saw dolphins, dugongs and humpback whale !
Joined a Ningaloo reef and manta ray tour in November 2025. All in all, it was a great experience. Staff were super attentive and knowledgeable, clearly passionate about the reef and the marine life present there. Really went the extra mile to make us comfy and enjoy the tour. Only 8 people on the tour and like 3-4 staff. We managed to swim with manta rays, small sharks and a sea turtle. Saw plenty of colourful corals. Equipment and boat were very much up to standard. Food was good. Compared to other tour experiences, the food and snacks here were not plenty. Throwing in a few sodas may have been nice. Our last snorkel session felt a bit rushed. It would have been nice to be briefed about the amount of time we’d be spending in the water. Looking forward to the underwater photos. Keep up the good work!
It was a wonderful experience.. from the moment we got onboard until we arrived back at the dock 7 hours later, we enjoyed every minute! We’ve been fortunate enough to scuba and snorkel all over the world and this was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had.. the reef and the water were beautiful but the real attraction was the number of reef fish, turtles, octopuses, dolphins, mantas and sharks we saw! The crew was excellent and took great care of us! Highly recommended this adventure!
Coming from Perth all the way here was a long journey and our Manta tour was meant to be the "save the best for last" kind of thing. Thought the manta swimming was incredible, even more impressive were the corals, different species of sharks and all the wildlife. I would always come again as everyone was very friendly (including our fellow swimmers) and it was absolutely worth the trip. Thank you NMI! *Just try to make your office more visible😅

Rob and I went on this amazing quad bike ride through the sand dunes at Coral Bay and let me say it was simply AWESOME! Our guides Chris & Rob were amazing and gave us an unforgettable experience while showing us some awesome sights with the opportunity to catch a gorgeous sunset! Thanks guys, highly recommend this tour…
Easy to give five stars for this tour. Chris our guide ordered whales, dolphins, turtles and that was before we got in the water. We were lucky enough to see four clown fish and other marine life on the snorkel. We felt safe and the bikes were super easy to ride. Such a highlight for our trip. So glad we decided to go on a whim. Special mention to Chris our guide who made the trip a great memory and is handy with the camera.
Fabulous. Chris was our instructor and was so much fun whilst still being professional. The views are spectacular and the snorkelling was sensational. Highly recommend this quad bike tour. We are both in our 60s and were well able to keep up so don't let age stop you from enjoying this great tour. Lorraine
My girlfriend and I had a blast on the Quad Bike Sunset Trek. Our tour guide Sam was awesome! Really funny and knowledgeable. He lead us through the National Park and stopped us at a few good look out points. We saw turtles in the water and an amazing sunset on the beach. I would definitely recommend checking them out for an adrenaline rush as well as scenic views of coral bay. Cheers m8
Totally awesome day riding the quad bike. Our guide Rob was excellent and a very friendly guy with good knowledge of the tour. Had so much fun riding through the dunes, although a bit bumpy in places just added more fun to the ride. Then got to stop and snorkel at Five Fingers reef, so beautiful even got to see turtles 🐢 would highly recommend this tour if anyone is looking for a bit of an adrenalin rush. Cheers guys.
Absolutely loved the quad trek with our family. Being a motorbike family already we had an absolute ball 🙌 the guides were awesome. The stops along the way were beautiful. Highly recommend sunset tour.
Such a fun adventure quad biking through the sand dunes then snorkeling an amazing reef with an abundance of sea life. Sam was a fantastic guide. Always making sure we were happy and safe. Equipment suplied was top notch and the bikes were comfortable considering the rough terrain. Highly recommended
Thanks John and Beck for a terrific day. Three snorkel dives in different locations, including the famous Blue Maze. Saw two turtles parked on a cleaning station getting a treatment from the fish! The fish diversity was excellent. And so was the burger for lunch 😊 All round great trip.

We had the most amazing trip with Sail Ningaloo and I can’t wait to do it again. Boat and crew fabulous, set in an amazing environment with the experience with creatures big and small far exceeding expectations. Was also great to have beautiful and well presented meals which factored in allergies of one of our family members!
Absolute dream trip, the 5-night excursion. Every day filled with spectacular snorkeling and diving on a remote, untouched reef. Great crew, food and accommodation. Recommend 100%. Can’t wait to go back.
More than one of us felt like crying at the end of our 5 night trip and I can’t think of the last time that happened. The very professional crew worked so well together. Dom has excellent boating skills and we felt safe in his hands steering us on the reef. Josh is a great dive master and his knowledge and passion for marine life shone through. Libby changed from mermaid in a wetsuit to deliver us food in a moment. None of them could have done more. We swam with a dugong, turtles, sharks, so many fish and such gorgeous coral. Whales broached and swam along side us. The sail with unexpected large wave and unintentioned splash of a resting honeymooner below decks was memorable. Such a fantastic experience.
A huge thank you to the crew of 'Shore Thing'. Jesse, Gloria & Zara, you guys are awesome, and you made my time on board very comfortable. The snorkelling was first class, and your expert knowledge and experience allowed me to see a great biodiversity of marine life on the reef. The food you served was delicious and the deluxe cabin was very comfortable. Thank you again for showing me around the Ningaloo Reef. I can highly recommend this trip to anyone, and I hope to be back on board again one day.
Trip of a Lifetime – Beyond All Expectations I write this review knowing full well how lucky we were – the stars aligned for us in a way that’s rare, and the chances of everything falling into place like it did are slim. But I wanted to share our experience nonetheless, because this truly was a trip of a lifetime. From the moment we set sail, it was clear we were in exceptional hands. The crew – Aoife, Gloria, and Hendrik – were nothing short of superb. Knowledgeable, professional, and full of fun, they made every moment on board feel effortless and special. It’s not easy to find three strangers you can spend five nights at sea with and feel completely at ease – but we did. Aoife, Gloria, and Hendrik, you are a class act, individually and together! Nature also played its part beautifully. The tides, winds, and marine life seemed to be in perfect harmony, putting on an exquisite show at every snorkel and dive site. From breathtaking underwater scenes to stunning sunsets, every day brought something magical. We know we were incredibly fortunate with the conditions, but even without that extra bit of luck, the care, skill, and spirit of the crew made this an unforgettable journey. Thank you for an experience we’ll treasure forever.
Awesome experience. 3 days on board Shore Thing was amazing. The crew Duke ,Bonnie and Tiahna just gave us the best experience The food was delicious the snorkeling was awesome and the knowledge and care the crew had for the reef and surrounds was first class Just a wonderful experience Thank you we will be back
A huge thank you to Cristie from Sail Ningaloo for arranging such a fabulous trip. When poor weather and other contingencies got in the way, Cristie called us with solutions, not problems. We'll never forget swimming with Whale Sharks and Humpbacks and everything else that Ningaloo reef had to offer. Amazing - thank you!
Favourite family holiday ever! We spent three days on the Shore Thing and loved everything about it. The crew took us to three sites a day for snorkelling and diving. All were different and it was great to have the knowledgable crew give us a good run down of what we could expect to see at each site. Under the water we enjoyed seeing a huge variety of different coral, hundreds of amazing colourful fish, sharks, turtles and manta-rays. A snorkelling highlight was the drift snorkel where we got dropped in the water and floated with the current just about some gorgeous coral and all the variety of sea life. From the boat we got to watch a pod of humpback whales play around for about 15 minutes. When we were not in the water we were on deck either sun-baking/sleeping/reading on the comfortable bean bags or day bed. Another highlight of the trip was the lovely freshly prepared food coming from the kitchen all day, from a substantial breakfast to freshly baked morning tea treats (ie mini carrot cakes, choc chip cookies), a huge satisfying lunch and a two to three course meal every night. Every meal was delicious and it was great fun to sit around the table with the other guests and crew chatting about the adventures of the day. The boat was super comfortable and the crew were friendly, knowledgable fun and caring.

Ayala was wonderful from the moment she helped us choose what your package to choose and was a fantastic guide out to the reef and was very knowledgeable with the coral and fish types and habitats It was very nice to have a enthusiastic and personable guide like Ayala who gave us a very memorable 2hr tour of the maze I would highly recommend this business to anyone visiting coral bay This experience will stay with us for a long time as we we’re lucky to see several green turtles and a plethora of fish
Unreliable openinghours. Closed at 12.30 yesterday, not 16.00. For doing another job was the explanation. I guess just not enough customers, the weather was perfect. Very very disappointing; we went out there for information the same morning and the (friendly) girl in the rental office didn’t tell us anything about closing so early. There’s obvious no competition so they can do as they like.
outrageous prices to hire a kayak - it’s $150 for just 3 hours, i can hire a whole caravan set up for less than that per day… wild for something so basic
We advised the young lady when we paid our $50 cash for 1hr kayak hire that we didn't have a waterproof watch and we would do our best to return on time and asked if we were a little late was that OK and she said yes. On return after pulling the kayak back up the beach and returning the life jackets the lady told us we were 1/2 hour late and asked for another $30 before she would return our licence that she had kept for ID. We disputed the extra charge and asked to see the time and she had been dishonest as we were only 20 minutes late. (A deliberately ploy we felt to ask for more money). As we didn't have any more cash she was reluctant to return our ID and said "well I can't really call the police can i", and she said she didn't appreciate the attitude from us. We definitely felt she had the attitude and was rude to us. Well if 20 mins late on a quiet day when there was no line up for hiring is a huge concern maybe some timers in the kayaks for those without a watch would be helpful. She also said that everyone tries to avoid the extra charge .....well we are not like others and we did our best to return within the hour. She spoilt our experience and we felt like she thought we were trying to rip off the business. Don't leave credit cards with them as I am sure they would apply extra charges and you would have no control over it.
The most expensive kayak rental ive seen in my life, 50$/hour shouldnt be okay. The girl that attended us was nice and informative but these prices are outrageous
A must do if you go to Coral bay! Kayaking in the turquoise water is awesome and really easy. You may see some coral while paddling on the kayak. A rope is provided to be tied up to a buoy so you can jump into the water and go snorkling around. It turns out it's not that hard to jump back on the kayak with 2 people.
They closed early and I had to wait the next day to get back my id card losing time and money (i was supposed to reach a camping site 3 hours away). Very bad experience
Had a great time out on the kayak, competitive price to hire from these guys and the staff provided great service and recommended routes to see.

My best friend and I stayed in the Balcony Room at Bay Lodge and we had a great time. The room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, with everything we needed to look after ourselves during the stay. It’s the kind of place where you maintain your own space, which suited us perfectly. The location is a big plus — it’s close to everything, including the beach, cafes, and tour pick-up points. We especially loved having a balcony to relax on after a day out exploring. Overall, it was a good experience, and we’d happily stay here again.
Lovely place to visit. Lots of happy campers. I had a powered campsite with water and it was really good. I only gave it 4 stars for the excellent site because it was tricky getting in as the sites are not very deep and cars are parked on the edge of the access roads. Otherwise once you are in it is VERY good. The toilets and showers are great and there is drinking water near the showers and the restaurant. The site water is good for washing but as it is bore water it varies greatly in quality. Always looks clear with varying temperatures. That’s why the owners go to great lengths to supply filtered drinking water which is excellent. Showers use bore water and I must say they were extremely good. Not any complaints there. The whole campground is super clean and tidy. The surrounding areas outside the campground have a holiday feel. Small shops and cafes are supported by a shopping centre with a nice pub and supermarket plus tour booking shops and medical services. Fuel is available and if you have a boat there is a very good boat ramp a few minutes drive away. The bay and beach are also top rated (by me). I will return!
The location is amazing, however I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the amenities. The same dirt remained in the showers throughout our week-long stay, and toilet paper was left on the floors in the toilets without being cleaned up. For such a great location, the standard of cleaning was very disappointing.
Most expensive mistake on our trip so far. $62 for an unpowered site, and they don’t tell you there’s a huge mice problem. I understand there’s a difference between “mouse” and “native marsupial”, but when you have handfuls of them running through your campervan and you can’t sleep because they’re finding nooks and crannies you didn’t even know existed - you take the L and run away. We left before midnight, and can confirm the free camp 40minutes away is better for anyone not living in a completely airtight box. If you know there’s a problem, either fix it or warn your customers ahead of time so we can make informed decisions. Couldn’t even walk to the bathroom without running into at least a couple of mice.
If you love paying a lot of money ( the most expensive camp we had to pay on the coast for a unpowered site) and do not sleep a single night correctly because you Van is overrun with little mice, this place is for you !! If you have any doubts and with a campervan/caravan ect, honestly it’s not worse it. We were warned at the time of booking that due to the season they had "a small animal problem" and we had to keep the door of the vehicle tightly closed, which we did. Unfortunately when I come to mince, you can close what you want it’s would never been enough. And so now we are the proud owners of a little mouse that has adopted us and our van. Still there even after left since few days. All this accompanied by a campsite that was barely passable in terms of cleanliness. The bathrooms are really not the best we've seen along the way, and once again, for the most expensive price on the coast.
Booked 2 Nigaloo villas via reputable travel agent. Marketed as 'ideal for honeymooners'. Not sure when the blurb was written, but not my idea of 'honeymoon' standard accommodation. Bathroom sink drain smelt badly and everything looked old and tired. As we had booked 3 nights here, decided to pay the excess and upgrade (at a high premium). Swapped to a brand new top floor 3 bedroom apartment which was a vast improvement. However, considering this slept 8, there was only 1 bathroom and no washing machine, yet it had a full size American style fridge freezer. The showers wasn't great, but did the job. It didn't bother us, but the area & hence our accommodation was susceptible to mice. We were provided with a humane trap that worked.
Pretty cool place, right next to the beach, easy access to tours and had a funky café near the front with rock lobster and crocodile. Was expensive and we couldn't use the water pump for the caravan as it was contaminated with salt water but there were drinking stations provided, a 1 dollar fee to fill up caravan tank per litre. Sites were huge which was a great plus.
🐭🚨 Staying here was the biggest mistake of our trip. It was impossible to sleep because the grounds are infested with mice that climb into the car at night. There are hundreds of thousands of them. Our van was damaged because they chewed on the seats and cables. The showers and toilets were not clean either.

What an amazing place to visit. Truly spectacular. The landscape is timeless and the coastline is beautiful. I spent 6 days in Osprey bay and loved it. Swimming, snorkelling, fishing right from the camp. Hiking a few kms away through Mandu George, kayaking through Yardie Creek seeing rock wallabies and plenty of beaches like Turquoise Bay close by. I will be coming back.
Cape Range National Park is an incredible place where the outback meets the ocean. The red cliffs and gorges are stunning, especially at Yardie Creek where you can walk along the edge of the gorge and spot rock wallabies and birds. Just a short drive away, Turquoise Bay is perfect for snorkelling—crystal-clear water and vibrant coral just metres from the shore. The whole area feels remote and untouched, with beautiful walking tracks, quiet beaches, and amazing views. It’s one of the most unique national parks in Australia and well worth spending a few days exploring.
We stayed at Osprey Bay and our campsite was within walking distance of the beach. Stunning ocean views. Table set up for perfect viewings of the stunning sunsets. Good (non smelly) eco toilets set up. It was blowing a gale while we were there though so not the best for snorkelling. Can't control the weather though. The other bays (especially Turquoise Bay) were stunning too!!
Best place in western Australia for coastal and gorge hiking and marine life spotting
Great place, but they really need more parking bays in all beach bays happy to pay to get in but packing bays have not changed in 12 year a danger for kids walking passed cars
Wonderful park ! The best I've been visited in WA. I recommend to stay at least 2 nights just to enjoy the wild and to sleep near to the sea. It was amazing, and really relaxing. Buy everything before exmouth. Because everything is so expensive. 11$ for 10L of water when is 4$ in city 😂
Love this place and the Ningaloo Reef. Sooooooo much to do here in the National Park. You need to buy a WA National Park day pass, or buy an annual pass via RAC for 50% off ($60). Camping, fishing, swimming, snorkelling, spear fishing, bush walking, surfing, watch turtle nesting, boat ramp, tours and a beautiful fringe reef right off the beach. About 60km bitumen road to Yardie Creek, but 4wd needed to go on sand. So many great camping areas all along the coastline. $11 per adult or $7 concession per night. Bookings must be done online. Telstra reception scattered, so book beforehand. Turquoise Bay & Sandy Bay are spectacular.
Offers excellent snorkeling and general swimming oportunities. The local marine life is diverse. A strong swimming ability is recommended as the current is very strong and can easily catch inexperienced swimmers off guard.

This is the best and most popular coral viewing vessel in Western Australia as it offers a view from below the water line! Yes, you actually sit below deck and have almost a 360 degree view of the corals and brightly coloured fish. It's absolutely fantastic and really cheap.
We really enjoyed our semi submerged journey over Ningaloo Reef. Although a coral reef it isn’t colourful like the eastern states reefs but quite magnificent nevertheless. A magnificent underwater jungle teeming with life. Knowledgeable guide and ship’s captain (great to see a woman in this role). Time to explore and snorkel.
Absolutely beautiful, did not realize how close the reef & fish r 2 the beach. My first time at snorkeling, how amazing. Great morning, thoroughly recommend.

This was about my fourth trip aboard the Mahi Mahi spanning about 25 years, Bernie the business is a real credit to you mate, you are still smiling and made it once again very enjoyable not to mention putting us onto fish on a hard day at the office, Great memories on our father and son froth to froth tour. Your decky Sam was bloody brilliant too, cheers guys for a very enjoyable day. The Donnybrook boys are very happy. Highly recommend this charter.
Crikey, where do I even start? Went out with the legends at Mahi Mahi Fishing Charters and let me tell ya, it was an absolute ripper of a day! From the get-go, the crew were top blokes – friendly as, full of yarns, and knew their stuff like the back of their hands. We were barely out on the water when the lines were thumpin – landed a solid golden band snapper within the first hour, and it only got better from there. The fishing gear was mint, the boat was a smooth ride, and the vibes were high all day long. Whether you’re a seasoned fisho or just havin’ a crack, these guys make sure everyone’s havin’ a ball. If you’re keen for a proper day out on the water and wanna bag some beauties, Mahi Mahi Fishing Charters is the way to go. Can’t recommend ‘em enough – I’ll be back for sure!
By far the worst day on the water in my life . Caught 1 small fish . I understand that’s fishing . It was more the owner and older staff. 1 lady injured her hand and they offered no assistance or even concern. I fell very ill . Same thing not a word from the skipper or staff . I think he needs to give it up . As the skipper he is responsible for all on the vessel. He just seemed grumpy all day . The young deck hand was treated like shit . I’d definitely go the other charter in town even if I had to wait . Price was $350
Awesome day out enjoyed every minute of it. Even the whale show on the way to each spot. Awesome variety of fish everyone took home a bag or close to (even if I had to give up 4 good fish😂😂). The crew where very accommodating to the fact I had another tour after and filleted my catch and where still waiting for me at the filleting table when I got back to pick up my fillets. Will definitely book into this charter again next time I visit Coral Bay thanks team.
Unforgettable day on the water with Mahi Mahi Fishing Charters! Absolutely epic experience from start to finish! The crew was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone had a great time. Highly recommend
Crew on board were A1. Helpful, friendly and worked hard to make sure we enjoyed every minute of the day. The Mrs and I caught a full bag each, and a range of species. Fishing spots were a fair way out but every single spot produced excellent fish and everyone on board was being rewarded. Couldn't have asked for more, and to top it off went home with more fish than I could buy for the price of the charter. A1. Excellent day. Excellent crew. Cheers.
Disappointing day . Lines on port side were dragged under the boat all day . Couldn't feel a thing. 8 caught port side out of 37. End of the day fish not shared like other charters I've been on. Some took home 1 others 6.
Another great experience onboard with Bernie. Expert knowledge puts you right on the spot to pull,in the big ones. Thanks again for a fantastic day out on the water.

The designated shark nursery area is around 20 minute walk north of Bill's Bay and the town centre at Coral Bay. You can walk along the shoreline and view sharks if they are in the area. Walk up the dunes just behind the shore and you can see them in the distance much better. We arrived to find just a few individual sharks around 10am in the morning but more came in until there were around 45-50 in the shallows circling and cruising around in small groups. It made for nice wildlife sightseeing if you enjoy seeing sharks from fairly close up.
Many reviews about the time of the sharks being seen, correct time is “Best Season: The reef sharks are present in the nursery from October to March” We have just visited but no sharks as it’s the wrong time of year. Can’t access by car. You have to walk from bills bay beach. Stunning walk even without seeing the sharks
13th August 2025 - walked over there from Billy’s bay (maybe 300m), saw heaps of sharks swimming around, which was amazing! Incredible scenes. 🥹
Did not see sharks but saw a beautiful spotted ray. We walked here from the main beach during high tide. Stunning and quiet beach.
20/08/25 We were lucky! We climbed up the little sandy hill and discovered the sharks. If you go in there, please watch out for the stingrays.
The coolest place, I've seen a hundred baby sharks. Be sure to go there with the high tide, otherwise they won't be here
The walk is worth it to observe sharks and stingrays!
Very cool to see nature up close like this. 20 sharks circling in the shallow water today, and a handful of small stingrays. About 15-20 min walk from the main beach.

We did the Half Day Manta Tour, it was absolutely fabulous. Stunning turquoise waters. Swam with a manta 3 times and the first snorkel was unreal, we saw loads of turtles and the coral is just amazing! Guides were great and really helpful to the less confident swimmers. Absolutely recommend buying the photo package after the tour, onboard photographer was amazing - these pics were taken by her!
We made reservations for a bottom see through boat excursion to the aquarium zone so that we could observe the corals and other marine life. The boat crew was fantastic, and the tour lasted for one hour in total. Despite the fact that the bottom glass of the boat was not particularly transparent and did not have a particularly large surface area. It is advisable to arrange a spot on a boat that has a submersible bottom, or if you are an experienced swimmer, you should snorkel around by yourself.
Walk off the sandy beach straight onto the boat and immediately see fish! Then just a short ride out to see plenty more amongst the coral. Informative commentary throughout, a little fish feeding, and a super easy totally flat cruise. Good teaser for other Ningaloo reef activities.
We booked this tour last minute while staying in Coral Bay and so glad we did! We did the half day tour which was the perfect amount of time (after having done a full day already with the whale sharks). We saw plenty of wildlife including turtles, dolphins, a leopard shark and even an octopus! The highlight though was obviously the Manta Rays, of which we got to swim with 3. They even put on a show for us, doing barrel roll after barrel roll - truly spectacular! The crew were all so lovely and knowledgeable, and the snacks provided were great after plenty of swimming (and catered for gluten free so well). Would highly recommend to anyone visiting!
We booked the 1/2 day Manta Ray Tour with Ningaloo Coral Bay Boats. The Tour provided Snorkels, Masks and Fins along with wet suits. The reservation staff were very helpful explaining meet times and pick up locations. We arrived early and coffee was available across the road at the Bakery to help us fill in the time. We were then provided our Fins followed by boarding a bus for a short ride to the Jetty. Finn and her crew then took us to a close in reef for an introductory snorkel to get used to our gear. Once back on the boat we were told a Manta Ray was close so back in the water in two groups. We had a number of swims and the Mantas circled and we had a great time. Humpbacks, Grey Shark (Don't worry not a "Bitey" shark) dolphins, and Turtles added to a wonderful day. My wife and I are in our 60's and only relatively fit and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Service and safety were paramount and the crew should be commended for their care, knowledge and skill.
THE BEST FUN! Mateo and crew were informative, professional, and very funny. (Regarding fish and turtles personal space). Thanks to a great puppy sitter Alex who had Maggie dog not wanting to come home. Was able to go pro some great footage and fall in love with Coral Bay.
If you come to Coral Bay, a trip with this crew is worth its weight in gold. We have lived and dived on the Barrier Reef most of our lives and had one of the best trips out we have ever had. I highly recommend this skilled and knowledgeable team for a day out exploring the local reefs. Sharks, whales, Manta Rays, turtles and millions of fish. Plus a laid back crew that made it an awesome family outing.
Great experiences, tour took us to healthy coral-reef area.
