This is a fantastic place and worth a visit. There are lots of tables around for picnics and plenty of room for dogs and travellers with caravans etc There is a beautiful walkway just above to walk around and view the town and surrounds. However the best part is the Crafters Cottage onsite with the best coffee in the area. The barista there is Thai and a fantastic artist with her designs on the top of each coffee. There is a nice fireplace inside the cafe and lots of outdoor sitting areas if you have a dog with you. The new playground equipment for kids is excellent and there are plenty of new toilets The cafe is open from Wednesday to Sunday. Of course the Standing Stones are a huge highlight. Whilst in town, don’t forget Sweaties Pies, which are renowned to be the best anywhere. The coffee downtown is generally very ordinary.
Fab place to visit and I was really touched that the Celtic peoples who settled here bringing their knowledge and skills have been honoured and memorialised is such a manner. It’s definitely worth a visit. I was particular fascinated that the sun dial told the time perfectly 👌
Amazing monument to the early settlers of the area. Created in 1991/92, the Australian Standing Stones in Glen Innes Highlands is the national monument to Celtic people, past and present. The Stones acknowledge the contribution to Australian culture made by people from the Celtic nations of Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall, Wales, the Isle of Man and Brittany.
Has changed a bit since we where through 3yrs ago, new sword , kids play area and pretty sure loos are newish too. Either way good suss out and good pet friendly stop / area walk around
Worth a stop just to read the story of what they are and why they are there. Don't forget to go up the hill behind it for a scenic outlook.
Lovely spot, clean bathrooms, interesting activities nice for a picnic or the Cafe. Well worth a stop in.
Every time I go to Glen Innes I hang out up here It's a great spot!!

You can't pick your own strawberries here, but they have trays of various sizes to choose from in the store. Strawberries are large and flavoursome. Lots of local products and various gifts are available in the store as well as many options such as cake, cream, and ice cream to eat with their fresh strawberries or shakes to drink.
Extremely delicious, very rich. We shared a large strawberry shake ( it was a generous large) and a strawberry and cream scone which was a very slightly stale but otherwise good. We couldn't finish the shake, it was super sweet and we were all sugared out - but it was great and would order it again for sure!
Delicious fresh strawberries! Great spot to have a break. Play area for children. Plenty of parking, nice food, great coffee. Inside and outside sitting areas. 🍓 yum!
Loved this little roadside store/cafe/gift shop. Had fresh strawberries in three size options plus strawberry pancakes, shakes etc. Had a fantastic variety of jams, vinegars, chutnies, sauces, soaps, gifts etc Also had a small amount of clothing outside. Outside toilet facilities simple but clean and presentable. Inside seating for eating. Parking was fine.
Always stop in here over the years for a freshly made strawberry milkshake, and this visit will keep us coming back. Very efficient service, lovely friendly new ? owners and still the most delicious real strawberry milkshake ever. The large size each filled us for lunch, but the food being delivered to other customers looked good.
Very friendly staff and the most delicious strawberry milkshake I have ever had. The ham, cheese and tomato toasty was so yummy. This is one of our favourite stops whilst heading along the New England Highway.
Great spot for a pit stop. Wonderful food and drinks and friendly staff. I bought some jam and loved it!
I ordered an iced chocolate and the milk wasn't cold at all, no ice either. Service was very slow even though there were no customers at the time.

Helpful staff, beautiful jewellery for sale,we tried out some local fossicking areas ⛏️🪣💎
Called in this morning to get some advice on things to do in Glen Innes during our stay. The man behind the counter did not look up from his computer, did not offer a greeting or acknowledge I'd come into the centre. I eventually said good morning so he definitely knew I was looking around. I gathered what info I could from the pamphlets and left. Still no offer of assistance from the man sitting behind the counter. Not a great introduction to this lovely town.
Very helpful staff with good knowledge of the area.
Just spoke with Fred Blair at the information centre and he was a wealth of information, planned our next three days on his information and recommendations. Fantastic service, thanks Fred.
Excellent information and friendly greeting on arrival. Lots of helpful local information.
Great place with lovely staff who are very informative.
Dropped in for information, we were helped by friendly staff, great amenities here, clean & modern
Extremely helpful staff, they have a beautiful range of Celtic jewellery, and gorgeous stuffed toys, aboriginal art pieces, such as jewellery and scarves and allots of tartan nik knacks. We were given so much information on what was to be seen and done in Glen Innes, most helpful and friendly information centre I have attended.

The Museum is absolutely amazing! What an incredible historical building and display and record for future generations of the history of this lovely town. The attention to detail is fantastic in the display rooms. I am coming back early next year to spend time with the Historian Eve Chappell to research my family history - her records are amazingly comprehensive. Can't wait
A very wonderful experience. A huge collection of a very large array of historical items and interesting reads. Well worth the visit.
This is a great museum containing a very large collection and exhibits from the old hospital in which this museum is located and of old artefacts from the area. We spent 90 minutes here before it was due to close but we could easily have spent another hour or so if had the time. Well worth the visit on a wet and miserable day
Fabulous look back in time A def must visit. Allow yourself some time to really explore it.
Now this museum is a definite must visit whilst in Glen Innes. It has so much history and is so interesting.
Great place to visit, you could honestly spend hours in this place, lots of interesting displays. Don’t miss this.
From the peopl the shops the pubs and old buildings to the walks in national parks and the history we thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days in gleninnis
What an excellent snapshot of the history of Glen Innes as well as the hospital. The staff member, I apologise for not remembering his name, was helpful, friendly and welcoming. I totally recommend a visit to the Glen Innes & District Historical Society's contribution to preserving this wonderful exhibit of history.

The lady tour guide gave a highly interesting ane deeply informed verbal introduction and explanation for each of the art pieces on display. It was a real education into many aspects on indigenous art. A must do if you are in the area.
Great little gallery. Wonderful Aboriginal art. Owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. This is a great place to spend an hour or more. We will definitely return
Went with a tour group and loved the experience. We were guided through the painting of a boomerang using aboriginal art techniques. It was great fun. The art work on display was great and I was able to leave with a large print of my favourite.
Dad and I had a great time here, as they let us in and gave a guided tour even though they werent really open that day. Fascinating insghts and visually rich pieces on display
I was absolutely delighted to have met Lloyd in person after admiring his art ! He gifted my daughter a boomerang and showed her how to use it out of the kindness of his heart.
Beautiful people, clean calm environment, stunning artwork and food, Lloyd hosted us on a one off art workshop, this was a fantastic day. I would highly recommend a visit.
This is a truly special place. A wonderful art gallery and coffee ☕️ shop. Lloyd Gawura paints First Nations art with a modern design. Lloyd and his wonderful wife will greet you kindly and take you on a journey through his art. I always stop here when coming through Glen Innes. Highly recommended
Lloyd and Wendy are such lovely hosts. The art is amazing and has so much history and meaning to it. The coffee shop is one of the best we've been in a big while. Great hot chocolate with marshmallows, fresh blueberry muffins, delicious scones with jam and cream!

A great book shop! They have a wide selection and all reasonably priced. Well worth the visit. I personally loved the variety of craft books.
Incredible range of subjects in here. Found a John Steinbeck book I had never seen before. Friendly staff. CASH ONLY!
Worth a special journey - this bookshop has an extraordinary range; I have often found rare detective stories that are unavailable anywhere else in the world.
One of the best book shops in Australia. Huge selection of all types of books A must visit when visiting this beautiful country town
Probably the best single second-hand book store in Australia (not exaggerating!). I always stop by on my way through with a list of stuff i'm after and pretty much always find it. Incredible Australian History/Politics/Australiana collection. Great atmosphere too.
A very unique shop for historical / antique books. It can be great for treasure hunts, particularly when you enjoy older books. However the prices were sometimes a bit high. As an avid reader I consume large amounts of books and know where to source them for more moderate prices. Therefore I think the shop may be more suitable for people who maybe can’t use the internet well, prefer to buy local or don’t have access to other bookstores.
What a great 2nd hand bookstore. Got what I was looking for however an amazing range of all genres of books. Very helpful staff
An amazing gem of a find- the store manager was very helpful and so friendly- when he heard my 9yo has started coin collecting he gave him some advice and showed him some special coins! I just love old bookshops like this and could have spent hours in there.

No issues with the popcorn machine this time, movie ran on time, Sunday session was rather quiet but wonderful. Great customer service. Lovely clean, well stocked toilets.
The Musical was just fabulous. Well done all concerned. 5 ⭐
It a really good place to which movies are in the source is so nice
Possible the most uncomfortable theatre I have ever sat in. I have to throw my legs over the seats in front of me just for some leg room and if I dont 't feel like rubbing shoulders with the stranger next to me for 2 hours I have to bring my shoulders together or lean forward. The malteasers have white stuff on them like they're old stock, I think last time I went there there was something wrong with the lollipops and took them off the kids and didn't let them eat them. Fairly terrible in terms of comfort, I cannot sit for an entire movie.
Excellent little old school cinema, only runs on weekends, friendly staff running the place, good selection of food and drinks
Great, volunteer run organisation. They show movies and put on live theatre shows. Fantastic place for all the family.
Quaint. Pleasantly surprised to see it has stadium-style seating inside to provide a good view of the stage
A great community space. More residents should support the efforts of the great volunteers here.

I stayed 3 nights at this peaceful, tranquil property. I fossicked in the river and found 3 small sapphires. It was very cold so will return in the warmer months.
Beautiful quiet camping grounds and cabins in the beauty of country side. The creek was close by with sapphires and owner was accommodating and friendly! Found some great gems with a relaxed atmosphere.
A huge thank you to Lachlan and pat. Both lachlan and pat were great hosts at this amazing propery. we had booked for 2 nights but ended up staying for 3. Morning coffee with the locals (horses, sheep, deer, and roos) this was def a highlight for us. would recomend a stay for anyone in a heart beat . ❤ Mike & Rae
Just camped there, great kitchen facilities, flushing and drop toilets, boiler heated showers and taps.
A huge "Thank You" to Pat and Tina for squeezing us in after our Easter camping booking at another site was cancelled last minute! I wouldn't call it being "squeezed" in though! This beautiful slice of paradise was amazing, with our chosen spot being a few steps to the waters edge and more than enough room so we didn't feel like we were on top of our closest neighbours. We endured a storm, high winds and some pretty chilly nights but these Qlders enjoyed every second of it!!! With plenty of activities available, we were content to sit by the fire and take in some walking of the property with the dogs, who were also welcome. It was too cold to swim but fishing was an option if only we remembered to bring fishing gear. All in all, we had an excellent holiday and will definitely be back! We would totally recommend Three Waters High Country Holidays. Thanks again Pat and Tina! See you again soon! Kerry, Daniel, Breanna and Miss Gemma the rottie!
We stayed here in the middle of July (winter) with a group of 8. The campground is beautiful and pristine. The new owners of the property are very friendly and laid back and great to deal with. There were no other campers the night we stayed and we had full access to their recreation room which has a camp fire, couches, table, hot showers, toilets and kitchen supplies. Definitely worth a stay if your in the area, the driveway is about 9km long and dirt but suitable for any vehicle.
Absolutely worth the trip. Next time we are back that way we will be staying again
While the cabin we stayed in hadn't been updated in a while, it was spotlessly clean, enough bedding provided to keep you warm even on the coldest nights(and it and COLD!) and - most important of all - quiet. When you're making a very long drive and have to stop for the night the last thing you want to hear is traffic. This place is well of the beaten track and I would love to come back for a camping trip to see more of the wildlife.
