We felt very welcome and the service was friendly My Uncle's wake was held here and we found the staff were caring and kind. Thank you for providing this wonderful afternoon for our family to share stories during this difficult time. Afternoon tea was divine.
Was greeted at the door by a warm and friendly gentleman who gave me an insightful run down on the exhibition before leaving me to admire the surreal display at my own pace. An absolute awesome display, given the area they have it certainly rivals the Australian war memorial in Canberra. A real tribute to our service people and a true asset to the community and Australians alike. Thanks to all concerned. Good for a cold beer a feed and yarn too.
Nice place, very well displayed and staff willing to spend some time explaining interesting facts about the war! Was on a road trip and decided to stop there, I was exhausted but they made us fell comfortable and welcome.
A wonderfully comprehensive museum. The staff were extremely helpful. A must see to understand the sacrifices of men and women in times of conflict.
Great place to visit, kids loved being able to get in the helicopter. Donations are accepted, no admission fee.
It was fantastic to visit the Port Pirie RSL. We came here the 6th march 2022. For a Gold coin donation we were able to see the museum and received an informative guided tour. There was interesting displays and lots of local history. Congratulations to the Port Pirie RSL, it's volunteers and members for all their dedication and hard work. They are very friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit and a cold drink after your tour.
Great space, awesome Dave the bar manager. Well preserved and presented memorabilia
Amazing place and an even more amazing display!! We'll worth a visit and please make a donation to help maintain this for our future generations!

This small museum in Port Pirie is a fantastic stop. The shark exhibits are fascinating, and the maritime history adds depth. With interactive displays and friendly staff, it's a fun and educational visit for all ages. Highly recommended!
Wasn't impressed at all...the shark thingy was a few headphones that we could see in a narrow short space, yet had to pay for it...maybe I might ssef something..🤔 after all it was 43 deg outside, had a great lunch at (some number place) loved the one way bridge that lets you get to actually see the harbour (from.the opposite side.).
Worth visiting and the staff are so friendly and helpful.
What a fantastic place. Full of information and the shark dive VR is incredible. Make the trip.
Did the VR Shark Diving Experience, very helpful and lovely staff in the info centre
Great central point in Port Pirie with EV charging by RAA Charge. Amenities all around plus Museum, library. 👍
Great little art gallery here. Few goodies to purchase as well. Staff friendly and helpful
Great knowledgeable staff will advise you of places of interest in and around Port Pirie. While there try a virtual reality cage dive or have a look at sharka a model of a shark captured near Port Germain and find out some interesting facts of white pointers

The amazing staff made this place. Vicki gave us great insights into the history of the area including products being shipped through the port and the relevant train track gauges etc. She even gave us a mission to find the other 4 steam engines identical to the "Port Pirie". Fred shared some fascinating anecdotes & stories from his 40 years working on the railway. Well worth a visit. Thanks guys!
Beautiful building but can't rate the inside of the museum since it's under renovation. We can still view the train head in front of the building. Plenty of carpark space in front of building.
It's a okay museum, quit good, great friendly staff and some cool stuff.
Very informative and interesting to hear the background story of the town. Great displays and even greater staff manning the museum on the day we were there Vicki and I'm just not sure of the other ladies name but they were both very helpful.
Very interesting and full of local history. Fred was very helpful and shared many fascinating stories from Port Pirie. Thank you!
Lots of displays and historical artefacts. The highlight was the steep staircase to the lookout tower. Cash only for entry when we visited.
Good for history & train buffs. The guys working in there were really helpful & informative.
Good place. Kids liked it. Lots of history

Called in for a beer and glad we did. Easy walking distance from the caravan park. The bartender is also a barista and there seemed to be plenty of people enjoying a coffee, which can be hard to do late in the afternoon.
I reckon the best places for a great feed around this neck of the woods. Great choices on the menu ranging from pizzas, stake, Oriental, Curry's. They got it all. Large portions couldn't get through most of it. Great service. The only issue I had were those filthy stained lounges in the bar area. You'd be better off in the dining section. Two stars for that under atmosphere.
Called in for lunch. The place is fairly run down and needs a good clean throughout. Hardly anyone here. Took 10 minutes standing at the bar to find any staff who would serve. Ordered a couple of meals. My Surf & Turf was supposed to be medium rare, turned up well done. The sides were just shredded cabbage. Very disappointed presentation for a costly meal. The staff weren’t really interested and just seemed to be moping around. A few cockroach’s ventured out of the kitchen into the Dining Room and one was squashed on the floor by staff and picked up. Behind the main bar was also messy with dirty glasses and papers on the floor. After spending over $80.00 for lunch we were very disappointed in this place. The town is like a ghost town on a Saturday afternoon, and you’d think a pub is a great place to eat and have a few quiet drinks, but unfortunately not this one.
I am absolutely discussed after eating our meal to see a large grey RAT running around in dinning room it came from the lounge bar I notified a staff member and left I would NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone!!!!!!! It is not OK at all the whole dinning and restaurant need a though clean and it's not a once off it has been like this for over a year chair's are stained, dust everywhere and dead flies in every windows seals it needs to be closed until cleaned thoroughly the staff are nice but not enough staff only 1 bar person working very hard with no help management should be feeling very disgraced !!!!!!!!
Very grubby pub. We sat down outside for a meal - the fake grass was swimming in cigarette butts and rubbish. The toilets were very dirty and staff disinterested. We decided not to eat here and went around the corner to the club and it was much better
We dined at the Portside Tavern last night, and I have to say it was a rather average experience. The meals (a beef parmi and a chicken/avocado dish) seemed thrown together with half the plate filled with coleslaw and pasta salad - neither of which tasted very nice. The venue itself is very run down and in desperate need of some basic maintenance repairs. The staff were pleasant, but I don’t think I’d make a return visit in its current state.
After paying for a 1/2 brandy and Coke $9.00 (over the top for a Half) Only to find out when the server returned To say they had no Brandy. What sort of place is this, Gone down hill since it was taken over. They also had problems with ac unit. So they had a fan by back door no much use as it was sucking hot air from outside and blowing it into the restaurant area.
Turn up at 7.50pm to see no one at counter serving, go get a beer and come back at 8.00pm on the dot to be told we stop taking orders at 8pm? Your website says 8.30pm. I know you have scheduleds but a few seconds over, really? Do you tell your staff to lay low the minuets coming up to 8pm? On a Saturday? Not happy I'm staying here for 2 weeks and planned to eat here most nights because of proximity, but not now

Show was great, Service and help from staff was fantastic, had a really good night.
No air-conditioning or fans on a 37 degree day for a year 12 formal, we actually had to take our own pedestal fans. Not enough Jugs for the 40 tables, the Jugs were tipped from bottles so flat and warm. Salad was put on the table 1 hour before the mains and was sloppy and floppy lettuce. I didn't see 1 mains finished as the steak smelt off. Everyone who attended should have received thier money back, very disappointing
Lovely little place to go watch a movie. Tickets can be purchased online before going there. Staff were all happy, friendly, and helpful.
The seats are so uncomfortable and theirs no air-conditioning so not only is it really stuffy it's also hot. Honestly the worst cinema I have ever been to💀
Not a great place in hot Weather. The airconditioning doesn't work. Very uncomfortable when full of people.
I had my Wife's cousins Wedding there, food was great, drink service was the best.
We recently travelled to Pirie to see the local production of Shrek. This was amazing value and performances. Also being allowed to drink inside the theatre was nice.
Staff were excellent & bent over backwards to assist myself & my client who has a disability to enable her to enjoy the 60 four's concert on Saturday night. Concert was amazing & I can not praise the Northern Festival staff enough for their kind assistance. Thankyou :-)
