A truly wonderful experience from start to end. Group of 4 of us for 4 days, Kym took the time to contact one of us and organise a route based on our level of experience (i.e. none). Karen was very helpful and answered all our questions at the launc point. Pick up and drop off at the end of the trip was seamless, and all up the hire of the kayaks as well as the pick up cost less than I'd expect to pay for a day's rental at some more 'popular' spots. Will absolutely hire through Canoe Adventures again!
A fabulous winter’s day adventure in the Riverland! The kayaking was so beautiful and there was plenty to see! A quick phone call and it was all booked! Kym is knowledgeable, friendly and easy going! This experience was so delightful, good value for money and so worth it! Would do it again in a heartbeat!
Magical Sunset Kayak Tour on the Mighty Murray! What an absolutely unforgettable experience! Big shoutout to Kym—he's a legend! He gave us the perfect blend of amazing river facts and genuinely heartwarming chats, which made the trip feel so special. We explored different sections of the river, experienced different weather and light conditions. Everything was well organised, safe and professional. Had a break halfway through and enjoyed local produce and a cuppa. Thank you to Karen for her wonderful Riverland hospitality. Highly, highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the area!
Great experience. Hayden and Kym are really amazing guides. The communication before was nice (emailed everything). As Europeans without Australien PayID we payed our trip in cash to avoid credit card fees.
Would highly recommend - booking procedure was easy and communication was fabulous. We were provided with all the gear and info upon arrival and finished a bit earlier than expected, called and the team meet us when we requested. Beautiful area to explore.
We had a great experience, Kym provided us with a handy map and suggestion for a beautiful spot across from the Booky Cliffs to stop for a picnic. If you're interested in birds, Kym also knows a thing or two about the local wildlife. We loved being able to go at our own pace and enjoy the serenity. Kym promptly arrived for pickup when we finished the trail - a seamless experience :) Don't be afraid to kayak in winter if weather allows!
Fantastic experience to see the Murray River and Gurra Gurra Creek. Would not hesitate to recommend. Kym was very accommodating in meeting us at 7am so we could collect the boats from him early to avoid the expected high midday heat. We had 3 hours just the 2 of us following Kym's map and it was wonderful experience seeing so much wildlife. At points we had 20 pelicans flying around us in circles and sat in awe gliding down the creek watching them. An accessible route to kayak with no demanding sections. Very reasonably priced for 2 single canoes. Thank you for providing us the opportunity to see the river and creek this way. If we return to the area, we hope to do again!
We booked a self guided kayak hire for two while on holiday. It was very well organised with the planned paddle having the wind behind us most of the way which made it much easier. The fact we could paddle one way and be transported back to our car was a great inclusion as we got to see more of the beautiful river, cliffs and birds. Great value hire, friendly service and an easy process. Would recommend booking with this company 🙂

The Berri VIC is an architecturally interesting building, with great views over the river. It is stocked full of a wonderful variety of local produce: jams, chutneys, dried fruit, nuts, syrups, damper mixes etc, as well as locally made art and craft work of high quality. They have well stocked brochure stands and friendly knowledgeable staff. There's even a Murray River Turtle there to greet you enthusiastically. They also have the ability to book local council campsites for you. Definitely worth a visit.
Top location for a Visitor Information Centre. Lady working there (had no name badge on) firstly told us there were no pink lakes in SA. 🤔 Then she later says to me, ‘You live in _______ and you don’t know where Lake Eyre is?’ Really! Quite rude. I have only lived in _______ for a few weeks. Never been to this part of this beautiful country before. I have travelled overseas numerous times, not all of Australia yet though. Lady, this is why people go to Information Centres, to get information, not be criticised. In the end she asked where we were headed after ________ and gave a lot of brochures/books to assist us.
We arrived in Berri for the first time and was greeted by Lucy in the Visitors centre. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was absolutely contagious and we spent the next 2 days visiting almost every establishment in the area. She has inspired us to return and spend at least a week here. A great location.
Lucy was so helpful and she gave us lot of information about the riverland and she recommended good parks for our daughter as well🙂. We were sad as we went to information centre on our last day of our trip to check about boat trips. We'll go there again.
Visited the centre twice Called in expecting to stay one night - have stayed 5 Expecting to leave tomorrow Tuesday - will I Mainly still here due to maxing information given by Visitor centre staff - Lucy What a wealth of information she has - great knowledge about the area I was in Berri 35 years ago flying visit however it’s been great visiting Loxton, Moorook , Barmera, Glossop , scenic drive around Lake Bonney and I haven’t been to Renmark yet Highlights Loxton Historical Village and the Pines Historical House as well as the Barmera TgeTre and Srt Gallery- lots of great cafes Thank you so much Lucy
Told us just what we needed to know and were spot on lovely friendly staff
Phone enquiry to the lady there, was very helpful and bright. Assisted me to locate a local store.

Such a beautiful place to park the caravan for a few days and discover the area. On-site caretaker. Toilets, dump point and rubbish bins. There are picnic tables and electric bbq's in the park across from the campsites. A walking trail that goes into town or just do the loop. Highly recommend this area.
Lovely peaceful spot by the Murray. Best in dry weather. No showers. Toilets, barbecues, picnic tables, lovely grass near waters edge. Dogs allowed on leads. $5 onite camping online or at info centre.
Beautiful spot right on the Murray River. Plenty camping spots but only 2 toilets, not showers. Relax on the riverbank and enjoy the high powered boats towing their water skiers. There are people fishing and just doing life.
Beautiful spot on the Murray and close to town! Plenty of campsites available even during a long weekend. Can get a little soggy when wet but worth it.
Wonderful area right on the Murray. There are walking tracks through the Wetlands, camping and BBQ facilities. Toilets as well. Area has been developed by local Lions Club.
This is a great low-cost camping area with toilets and toilet dump point, there is plenty of shaded camping areas and very close to the river. The camping is very spread out so you don't have to park close to others if you prefer not to. There are large grassed areas with bbqs and shelter along the river side.
Nice little spot with plenty of room, toilets and grass down to the river bank.
Oh my goodness, the view is absolutely breathtaking, and the campsite is spotless!

A fantastic and informative national park with plenty of wildlife, walking trails and well designated campsites. A great place to watch the world drift by.
Real good place for camping. Styayed 2 nights camping there. Beautiful view. Good for fishing and canoeing. Lots of Kangaroos and Possums to be seen at night times and early mornings. Several bird varieties can be seen throughout the day, good for bird watchers.
Great camping spot only 2.5 hours from the city Choice of sites either close to drop toilets or more isolated. River quite high so a few spots were unavailable Bring your own firewood Great for kayaks, canoes or SUP boards
Great Camping spot for the Great Outdoors. The pics are at Katarapko Creek which is in the National Park. $13 a night. Lots of room for everyone. You may need to bring a portaloo with you if you plan on staying there a night or two.
Best way to see is on a Riverboat. 7 of us had a fabulous time and definitely will be doing it again.
Spent a week on a houseboat in this neck of the woods and it was absolutely fantastic. Fishing was great with plenty of table fish caught as well as carp. Yabbying was out of this world and views were second to none. Can't wait to get back there again
Fabulous for birdwatching. Brilliant scenery even if not the prettiest. Amazing ecosystem. More interesting the further you venture. 4wd essential to explore deeper.
Great location. Site 1 is ok, but no view. Stayed at site 4 - great spot as photos show

A visit to the converted water tower in Berri is a must. Climbing the stairs is well worth the effort, as the view from the top is truly breathtaking. From this elevated vantage point, you can see the majestic Murray River winding its way through the vast, flat countryside, offering a panoramic perspective that captures the region's natural beauty. The surrounding rose garden enhances the charm of this iconic landmark, making it a peaceful and picturesque spot to reflect on the area's serene landscape.
Easy parking access and steps staged and not steep for an easy climb and descent for all ages.
Amazing lookout views. Once you've made the steep climb up there, it has 360 deg views.
Great climb up and through the old water tank, however the views were underwhelming.
Nice views of the town and surrounds. You can see the river and city centre clearly. If it was taller the views would be much better, but can't complain what it does show.
The Water Tower Lookout, located in the town center, offers a prime location to overlook the town and even catch a glimpse of the distant Murray River. This free viewpoint is easily accessible, with ample free street parking. Don't miss it!
Great view from the Tower of this beautiful town
Lovely view from the top, easy and safe stairs up!
