A great morning of fun after days of hiking. It was really nice to float down the river, navigate around some simple class 1 & 2 rapids. Our aged 12 and 14 kids had no issues. Other families with younger did fine. Fun for adults. Staff really well organised and helpful, good equipment . Give it a go!
What a brilliant experience river sledding yesterday! Me and my partner done this experience yesterday and both absolutely loved it, was certainly something different. Was quite the challenge for myself but so much fun, and unique way to see the river! Huge credit to our guide Daniel who was very friendly and ensured we were okay at all times. Highly recommend this experience, not one to miss! Thank you very much 😃
We arrived at our destination at nine in the morning. The coach is already waiting for us. We start by picking up clothes, shoes and hats. Loaded up, we board the bus for the forest! Taking the bus is also a pleasure. We arrived at our destination in about 10 minutes. It's about a 15-minute walk. Another contact with nature. Thank you, Coach Emily, for your patience Because I keep capsizing and I keep getting stuck in rocks Because I'm afraid of water. And I have a bad sense of direction. Physical strength is not good. My English is not good either. I don't understand at all in a pinch haha 😆 But I didn't give up. Mission accomplished! The clothes are very thick and warm so there is no worry about losing temperature. The rapids make the adrenaline rush! It's really good! The body is really tired after the activity! It's a knee injury because the boat keeps capsizing. It's inevitable. Always leave with a few souvenirs. Finally experience the feeling of rowing with your hands all the way! It is definitely a good exercise for the whole body, and it is a close contact with nature! 🥲One other thing I can suggest. If you want to have nice pictures. Lovely memories. Maybe you can bring your own GoPro and record the whole thing. When you get home. You can take beautiful pictures. I'm actually the slowest on the team. As a result, when the coach used their camera to take group photos of everyone in the river, only my back was captured. But when I asked if I could shoot at once. Coach told me. Sorry you're so slow. I know it was a joke. But in the end, none of the photos taken by the coach were satisfactory. I think this is the worst part of the trip. Indeed, the experience of nature is priceless. But recorded moments are also important memories.
Omg this is a fun experience! Drifting down the meander river in all its beauty. I was concerned about the cold water - YOU WONT BE COLD ! . Very warm wetsuits , boots ! Such a mix of fun, laughter, adventure and relaxation. I would highly recommend.
What an amazing adventure! We all had so much fun. Was hard work at times but very rewarding. Couldn’t of had a better bunch of people to sled down the meander river with. One lady we met was celebrating recently losing 96 kilos 👏🏼👏🏼 What an achievement. Another lady was 76 years old 😳 impressive! A young boy aged 8 and every one of us did a amazing job sledding down the river together. Thanks James and Daniel for this unique experience I will highly recommend to others. See you next time Angela (birthday girl)
What an absolutely ripping experience!! An amazing way to see such a gorgeous river and countryside. Simply fantastic from start to finish. Fun Safe Great guides Great for most ages and abilities Adrenaline and relaxing bits Fantastic value!! I was ready to go again the moment we got back. Couldn’t recommend this highly enough!!!! DO IT !!

An amazing place to pop in for lunch and a tasting. The wood fired pizza's were sensational and the wines were extremely nice. The Baco Noir unique to this vineyard is the only wine of its kind in Australia..delicious!!
Amazing place to visit. The pizza is top notch and the friendly service from Bronia and Jade is always on point. The amazingly beautiful location is the final cherry on top; regardless of weather, sitting inside the beautiful cellar door or out near the vines is always a delight.
This is one of the best vineyards in Tassie! It’s beautiful, relaxed and the wine is great. If you’re thinking of going, make sure you book. The staff and owners are awesome, very friendly and super flexible. The chickens are cute, the grounds are gorgeous and it’s dog friendly.
Absolutely breathtaking. An incredible experience staying at MVV’s bespoke accommodation. Their service and commitment to comfort and privacy was incredible, and the outdoor tub was divine. Then to top it off with an incredible range of fine wine, and a delicious lunch at their cellar door. Would highly recommend to locals and travellers alike!
We had a beautiful experience here in what is a lovely laid back setting. The service could not be faulted. We spent 2 hours grazing on premium Tassie produce from nearby producers, and of course Meander Valley Vineyard's own Pinot Gris which was way too easy to drink (bought a bottle to take with us). Being able to take our doggo, Sadie, and have her made to feel so welcome was a lovely touch. Being part of the Tassie Trail, there are so many other places to experience nearby. Definitely head a little further up the road to visit Ziggy and Angelica at 41 South Salmon Farm. What a lovely weekend exploring this magical area.
This beautiful winery offers you indoor and outdoor dining with shade from the sun. At night time it offers beautiful surrounding vineyard illuminated by fairy lights. You’ll also find a beautiful garden to view attracting bees collecting nectar which makes for an amazing photo opportunity. You’ll find native hens and chickens just frolicking around you whilst you wine and dine. The menu is plentiful with pizzas and cheese spreads and the hosts are so kind and helpful. The wine was perfect. We stuck to red which is our favourite but I would assume the white to be just as lovely. There is also accomodation available overlooking g the vineyard with outdoor hot tubs which I will be back to stay at! Another.. must stop whilst in Tasmania!
We had a lovely birthday lunch here with friends. We shared a tasting flight and enjoyed all of the wines we sampled. We paired them with a number of their yummy wood-fired pizzas, which were all delish (especially the ginseng one!). Lovely staff, even though they were very busy when we visited. I highly recommend and look forward to a return visit in the Summer months!
Beautiful location, delicious wood fire pizza and wonderful pinor noir and baco noir wines. This was our first visit but definitely not our last.
