What an amazing experience to stand on the same shore as Jesus and the Disciples. It is a beautiful place and there are some well preserved sites. If you get to visit, take a boat tour, eat the St. Peter fish (Mango Tilapia) for sale all over and visit the historical sites.
One of the most unique places you'll visit in Israel. There are many beautiful along the lake and campsites.
Sea of Galilee aka Lake Tiberias. Is the famous lake where JESUS walked on it and also calmed the storm. It’s also the lowest fresh water lake on earth. Peaceful lake indeed and breeze was so cool.
An amazing place to see with my own eyes. I read all about this place and Jesus' ministry here. I also enjoyed sailing on the Sea of Galilee. Luckily, it was a calm and beautiful day.
The Sea of Galilee is one of my favorite spots in Israel. This is a spot where you really feel the presence of Jesus.
This is one of my best experiences in Israel, you will be enthuse and captivated if you ever visit this area, especially if you’re of the Christian faith. Take a tour one day and go experience a little of history.
"Cruise on the Sea of Galilee"‎ Went on a sruise on Sea Of Galilee. At the jetty came across a novel feature. It is a floating bridge jetty. To board the boats safely and comfortably, Its height can either be lowered or raises depending the level of the sea of Galilee Boarded Cruise boat Noah. As soon as we left the jetty. Indian national flag was brought to be hoisted on the Boat mast. I was given the honour to hoist. The whole group, spontaneously started singing National Anthem. Everyone felt elated and happy. I thought a very nice business idea to set the mood of tourists well disposed towards the cruise company. Returned after about an hour's cruise. During the cruise there was loud music from Indian movies people were dancing and enjoying noisily and thoroughly. Hardly anyone looked out at the scenery nor enjoyed the calm and serene atmosphere on the waters of sea of Galilee, Felt sad at missed opportunity.
We're a group of pilgrims from the Philippines🇵🇭. We're happy to have experienced sailing on a wooden boat across the Sea of Galilee. A good and unforgettable experience for all of us. The skipper even taught us some dance steps while sailing. After the boat ride, all of us were given a certificate that we had survived the trip. It's one for the books. It's a good thing the weather cooperated with us, so sailing was a breeze.

This National Park is not the nearby Capernaum site maintained by the Church. It has has been lately renovated by the Nature Preserves and Parks authority and as such is beautifully organized and designed. You have a decent restaurant, much more than adequate for a good lunch, and a coffee and souvenir shop. You can walk there the many paths but be careful in Summer. We were there in July around 11am and the heat was not enjoyable at all. So take water with you, hats, sun glasses and sunscreen. Btw, the entrance is free and there is ample parking.
The very special place for believers, this place many times mentioned in the New Testament. There is an old synagogue there Jesus spent time teaching and healing there. At this place were many miracles like healing of the lepers, healing the man who was possessed by umpure spirit. Not so far, about few kilometers there is Tabgha, there Jesus feed about 5000 people with 5 loaves and two fish. Very energetic place, must to be visited )))
Wonderful secluded park on the shore of the sea of Galilee. You can take a boat ride on the lake or just walk around and soak in the views. In the winter months the weather is wonderful and there are some extraordinary wildlife, especially migratory birds and some very quirky and cute otters.
The Disciple's boat ride through Sea of Galilee was a wonderful and reflective experience. The Crew aboard was wonderful.
Capernaum National Park is located in the east side of the historiacl Capernaum . It contains both the remarkable historical town from the era of Jeasus Christ and a new site (constructed recently) few hundred meters east from there. The new site includes a basalt building with information station, office and shop; And is situated next to a floating boat dock. The garden is surrounded by a paved walkway and "elements of nature, archeology, Jewish heritage and Christian religion". Along the road leading to the parking lot, a 100-foot palm tree planted. From this site starts a 3.5 km promenade that leads to Ein Sheva and forms part of the Jesus Trail. A must place for everyone who visits the area!
A wonderful contemplative cruise on the Lake of Galilee followed by a delicious lunch at David's Harp Restaurant
If you have time and energy to spare do the 60km walk around the Kinneret. If, like us, that's not a realistic option then even a short stroll is fun and enjoyable.
Very nice and quiet place for s morning walk. I recommend to come here early in the morning, i like this place, very 👍 8/10

Suck an amazing and breathtaking location, the history and scenery and not to mention architectural marvel that are the caves are a sight to behold. The trail itself is quite easy and suitable for families of all ages, with options ranging from easy to hard. Very well preserved also woth a resting area complete with a mini shop, facilities, large parking spot and free drinking water. All in all an amazing place definitely worth a visit.
The Arbel in the early morning is a truly special place. The breathtaking view of the sun rising above the Sea of Galilee, accompanied by the majestic drops of the cliffs, creates an awe-inspiring experience. The stunning views extend both near and far, making it a truly unforgettable destination.
Beautiful area and easy hike section with the option for a more difficult hike down the mountain. Views are stunning.
This is fantastic little hike. The circular route takes about 2h. Be aware that the begining and end of the hike uses handgrips, as it's very steep. So while it's not a very long hike, it can be challenging. Hiking boots recommended. In the middle there is a detour up steep steps to visit an old fortress, for those interested in an even harder challenge. There is very little shade, so come early during the summer. The view is breathtaking and makes this one of the most amazing hikes in Israel. For groups with a bus, you can choose, instead of the circular route, to head down the mountain in the middle, thus not having to climb back up with the grips. There is also a shorter hike/walk option that takes you up to the edge of the cliff to see the view.
Had a great time with the view at the top, and then hiked down the west side. Anticipate an extra 45 minute or more if you do that instead of going directly back to the bus
Breathtaking view! Little entry fee but several hiking paths to observe Magdal and the Sea of Galilee
If you like natural formations, breathtaking views over cliffs, caves and the Sea of Gallillee, you'll appreciate Arbel National Park. If you're going in summer be aware that there is no shelter at all except for the concession stand seating area.
A great place to view the Kinerret and the surroundings from above. There are several walking 🚶‍♂️ trails. The longest one is about 3 hours. Highly recommend.

There are 3 pools for adults: the biggest one is indoor with warm mineral water around 96-97 F degrees; other 2 are outdoor - one is with hot mineral water - 100-102 F ( I could stay there just for 5 min 🤷🏻‍♀️)and another one - just regular. You can find a sauna there and few showers around the pools. The place definitely needs renovation., but on other hand it is not as crowded as other.
I got a really great massage and enjoyed the hot springs. I would have liked it if there was more information about the hot springs themselves hung on the walls. The place is a bit drab but it didn't bother me. The hot springs are not that hot. They are called "mineral pools". The water feels really nice it I wish there had been more jets. The regular water pool also felt great. I went in the dry sauna and found it to be too hot. I had a nice and relaxing time.
Settled by the shore of the Sea of Galilee, it's a unique place to visit. The lake is a beautiful sight from the garden of the hot bath, which has plenty of chairs and sunbeds to relax. There are 4 pools. The one inside is around 36.5 degree Celsius warm. The outdoor hot pool is about 38 degrees and there is a chiller swimming pool (around 22 degrees) plus a baby pool (I don't know how warm). At the time of my visit, on a Sunday very few people were in the establishment and it was a good experience. You can also find a steam room and a sauna indoors, cabins and lockers in the changing area, also there are free water drinking fountains and a buffet to get a light lunch. There are showers and toilets. A well equipped place, but one may say it is overdue for some refurbishment. I think it has its charm. My only concern was that I have seen rubbish in the swimming pool and dirt in some cases on the floor.
Just like the others, only smaller. ... The entrance price would be quite normal in other similar places, but the problem is that it is smaller then other places. There are only a couple of pools and two Jacuzzis. That's all. There is a good gym here, but it's on its own, just sharing a common building. And you can find a small café in the lobby with some normal snacks. Otherwise, it has the same problem as all other similar places: Old and dilapidated, I had a feeling that it has not been updated since the day of construction(as many other Israel hot springs too).
Great place. 3 different pools. (The third one at the top of walkway, is really hot. For the troopers :)) Scenery from there, especially if you walk up the hill/pathway, is just Beautiful. Overlooking the sea of galilee (the kinneret) Just at the exit, down the Hill, from Rebbe Meir Baal HaNess grave site. It's only 14 shekles to enter per adult. Ticket is good for the whole day (8am - 9pm. Think it was 8am, could be 9 or 7, I forget, but remember it is until 9pm as of july 2022) And you can leave and come back thruout the day, as long as you keep your ticket. Great place to visit. For the whole family. Just bring your own food and drinks, as I dont remeber there being a kiosk there to buy snacks or drinks. (Just not 100%, could be, i just dont remeber seeing one)
If I could give less than one star, I would. STAY AWAY! DO NOT GO HERE! Very outdated and gross. The “massage” from here was more like a molestation than a massage. All three friends who went with me also complained of the inappropriateness of the massage they received. Again, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!
Not far from city center by bus. Stop is just nearby. Very convenient. Check google maps itinerary by bus. One indoor hot swimming pool. Two outdoor hot swimming pool and one big swimming pool 28 degrees. Staff not very welcoming. No hello no thank you. We had a feeling that we were disturbing. Cloakroom and men toilets very dirty. Surroundings of the sea very dirty people use too much plastic there and it Falls in the sea. A lot of plastic waste near the sunbathing area. Just organising once a month a cleaning session of the surroundings is not a big deal. 👎👎👎 There s a sauna and hammam and they re ok 👌 There s a bar. Staff not welcoming. No WiFi. Fitness room with welcoming staff (lady came to us smiling and joking). 👍 Don’t forget flip flops. Outdoor hot pool is very cool and very hot 😉 At the end of our stay not even a thank you and no goodbye. Unacceptable. Entrance 89 shekels. Extra for massages but not even wanted to pay extras because of the not welcoming and thankful staff. Tip if you have a car : go to Amat gader spa
I love to give it five stars as i really love hot springs...but the facility is a bit worn out.....all in all a good place to come if you enjoy a hot bath and sauna.. sadly the spa doesn't work on Saturday s...

A very beautiful place. We visited there during this period (Christmas) and the place was impressively decorated, the priests are very nice and kind and during the tour they explain in an exceptional way that makes you want to hear more and more stories from them
An incredible place where religion coexists with modernity. P.s: They offer a free tour which allows you to get to know some facts related to the place

National park that holds the remains of a Byzantine monastery & church featuring a rare mosaic.
Slide 1 of 8
Korsi National Park preserves impressive remains of a monastery and a church from the Byzantine period. According to Christian tradition this is where the miracle of the pigs mentioned in the New Testament took place. Fascinating remains of monastery, church and chapel opposite biblical Sea of Galilee. This is the traditional site of Jesus' miraculous restoration of a demon-possessed man. The miracle of the swine. Demons are sent into the pigs (approx 2000 of them). Kursi was in the region of the Decapolis, which was made up of 10 Roman cities. It was a region outside of Jewish authority and inhabited by Jews and Gentiles. It was an immoral area that represented all that sinful humanity had to offer. It was considered unclean to the Jews. I do recomend for the family to come including the disabled. The historical place goes to the time of when Jesus roommed Israel.
Pretty small place but worth a look. Entrance is not free(photo). My wife and I spent about half an hour here, looking at the ruins. There are some signs with descriptions here, and a stand with an audio guide about general info of this place(video). You will not lose anything if you do not get here during your trip, but if you are interested in such things and you are ready to pay a little for entry - why not.
Korsi National Park preserves impressive remains of a monastery and a church from the Byzantine period. According to Christian tradition this is where the miracle of the pigs mentioned in the New Testament took place. I loved the mosaic and the view on the Lake Kineret.
Update: Been there again this July (2023), previous time was in October 2021. Still interesting, not tiring and highly recommended. Just look at the pictures. Btw, entrance fees are cheaper than in the others National Parks sites (14ils) ----------------------------------------------------------- Not amazing but still worth your time. My first time there as this National Park was recently opened. It is not amazing as other archeological sites but still it is very interesting as the findings are well preserved. While visiting the North I'd recommend giving half an hour or a little bit more and stopping by there. I've added some pictures as well to give you some feeling of the place

Fascinating remains of monastery, church and chapel opposite biblical Sea of Galilee. Very good recorded explanation in English and in Hebrew.
A great place to visit and learn both the Gospel story of the demon-possessed man/men delivered by Jesus and about the later Byzantine period of Israel's history.

Sizable archeological site of an ancient city with remains of a gate, palace & water system.
Slide 1 of 8
The granddaddy of Israeli excavations still revealing history changing finds, and nicely presented to the public. Make sure you see the biblical period mulit-chamber gate, the large building with evidence of burning there- controversial when from, what its nature is, and who burned it, but you have a right as a visitor to say this is the Hazor burnt by Joshua (Chapter 11, easy to remember), the "head of all these kingdoms". And make the effort to find and to descend All the way down into the secret biblical period underground water system. Be amazed at the ancient engineering!
Not amazing as many of the other National Parks in Israel, such as Metsada, Avdat, Beith Shean and many others. First, it is much much smaller. But then it still is very interesting as it is rather different for its historical significance as well as the architecture, the colors of the stones and the structure of the remaining. When you're on your way to the Northern Nature Reserves or National Parks (don't forget to reserve your entry tickets) after the heavy January rains , or the other National Parks, like Nimrod Fortress (much bigger and impressive) or Gamla, you can stop there for half an hour and learn a little more about Israel History. And if you have the Matmon Card which gives you a free entry, then all the better, isn't it? I was there again this October, I was there at sunset, as a closure in a day full of sites and natural reserves and it was the perfect ending. Bottom line, if you pass by this park on your way to Metulla or the Golan, just stop.
Tel Hazor National Park is an impressive and historically rich site that offers a deep dive into ancient Canaanite and Israelite civilizations. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hazor was once the largest fortified city in the region and played a major role in the history of the ancient Near East. The park is well-maintained, with clear paths and informative signage in multiple languages that make the archaeological remains come alive. Highlights include the impressive city gate, water system, and palace ruins. The view from the top of the tel provides a beautiful panorama of the Hula Valley and the surrounding landscape. For history buffs, Hazor is a must-visit. It’s fascinating to walk through a city mentioned in ancient texts like the Bible and to see remnants of daily life from thousands of years ago. Even for casual visitors, the scale and atmosphere of the site are striking. Be sure to bring water, a hat, and good walking shoes, especially in warmer months. There’s minimal shade, so an early morning or late afternoon visit is ideal. Rating: 4.5/5 – A powerful and thought-provoking journey into ancient history with great educational value.
Amazing archeological site displaying thousands of years of Canaanite and Israelite history: palaces, walls, storehouses and cistern have all been excavated and partially reconstructed. The staff at the entrance were pleasant and helpful, and most of the site is very accessible. There are walking paths leading from area to area and plenty of shaded benches for anyone who needs a break along the way. The only challenging section was the descent into the cistern, which is a lot of stairs, but definitely worth seeing for anyone willing to put in the legwork. We spent about two hours walking around and seeing everything, and at the end there is a nice picnic area with more tables and benches (all in the shade). Overall a well-maintained park displaying some very important ancient history of the Levant; definitely worth visiting if you like history and light hiking.
One of the most impressive sites of Ancient Israel. In a quick visit (an hour or so should generally suffice; if you have more time then take more time to take it in) you can see the remains of an impressive Bronze age (Cannaanite) palace, Israelite high place with cultic monolith (matzeva) dating from the time of the Shoftim (Judges), impressive Israelite city gate and fortifications built by kings Solomon and Ahab, and a massive water system also built during the reign of Ahab. With great views of the Naftali mountains nearby.
Nice place for archeology buffs. A lot of ruined houses, on a hill, and the highlight for me was the water reservoir, which is a very deep well to which you climb down using many stairs, until you reach a small cave where rainwater was collected. There is a nice activity that each visitor can participate: mud collects over the water reservoir, so the workers of the place fill buckets of this mud to remove it. Each visitor can take a bucket with him when going back up from the reservoir, helping the mud clearing effort. I really liked this game, I felt it was a great opportunity to teach my son about helping and volunteering. Overall it is very similar to tel megiddo. But tel megiddo is more interesting, which is why I gave tel hazor only a 4. It lacks a bit of development for tourists, a short video explaining about the place would be nice. Also I guess the water reservoir of tel megiddo is more impressive, withe more stairs and longer tunnels. All in all great experience for me and my 3 year old son.
Amazing place with a fabulous panoramic view. Tel Hazor is Canaanitian dwelling place, probably one of an ancient places in the world and mentioned as Biblical city in early 9-th century BC, during the reign of the Omrides. It is indescribable feeling to be today at that place by touching their stuffs like olive press-facility. Highly recommended. There are restroom, parking places in abundance also for disabled people.
It was not as big as I expected, but it was a very nice site with good history and beautiful surroundings.

Full disclosure: I did not stay at the hotel but rather enjoyed an evening of wine tasting and dinner with a group. We had a tour of the guesthouse and the rooms look amazing. Based on my experience with dinner and wine tasting, I can only assume that the service is outstanding also in the guesthouse. The wine is delicious! Finally a nice place to stay in Tiberias.
What an amazing and special place!!! I was looking for a winery near our hotel in Taberias, and discovered a boutique and one of a time experience.. crazy wine, delicious food, amazing hosts. We were a family of 12, including kids and everything exceeded all of our expectations. The place also offers beautiful apartments to stay at, I definitely plan to book in the near future. An absolute gem for lovers of wine, food and tailored experiences.
What a fabulous tasting! Gidi was an excellent host and explained all the wines. Also the wines were delicious. (We bought a few bottles to take with us when we left.) There was bread and cheese and olives to snack on between wines as well. Overall, a highly recommended experience.
Estee and Gidi are making some really fantastic wine (truly, the best Israeli wine I have had), and are very welcoming. I would highly recommend visiting if you are in Tiberias. Their accommodations are also very pleasant and conveniently located in Tiberias.
Wonderful place in a great location in Tiberias. The wine is excellent and rooms are charming. Highly recommend.
Berenice Winery is amazing!! Me and my friends had a great time here, it was definitely a highlight of our stay in Tiberius. The property is beautiful, the wine is great, and the value is amazing for a private wine tasting for a cheap price. Would 100% recommend to anyone in the Galilee area.
Stayed here in June 2019. The room was very spacious and well equipped with everything I could possibly need. There were things for cooking if I was so inclined, proper wine glasses (!), even books in English for me to read! The rooms were tastefully decorated and charming. From the outside, the place doesn't look as impressive - but don't be fooled as it's great inside. You could easily base yourself here for a week or more. Tiberias is a good base for local sightseeing, I'm not sure why it gets a bad rap on some forums. Estee was incredibly helpful.
Fantastic hosts, very warm and friendly. Went out of their way to make us feel at home by fixing a wonderful visit through their boutique winery, accompanied of course with wine and cheeses. Overall truly a great experience and a great place.

A large area and lots of places to pray at this holy side. It's recommended to arrive on a weekday and as early as possible to avoid crowdedness. It's free year-round. Note that on the hillula it's very packed. Clean toilets ,places to fill up cold water and hot water. An organized car parking area and just a few minutes from the kineret sea. On one side there is a few shops you can buy goods from. The sunset is stunning with the palm tree and sea view. The building itself is built beautifully with a grand mosaic on one of its sides if you walk up to the roof.
A different side of Israel but still must be seen and visited. I had just visited the Hamat Tiberias National Park and since this Tomb is just a few minutes walk from there, I decided to go and visit it as well. I had already been there in 1970 so it was kind of a must for me. It is of course a lot like the Tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai at Meron which I had visited the day before, just smaller. And like there, combined with this special atmosphere of mysticism, there were too many shops and sellers of everything and anything (which weren't there in 1970). It definitely spoiled the atmosphere. Pity.
Very holy and spiritual! Nice very comfortable there is drinks there a few gift shops amazing stuff... candle's to buy for a few shekel the place is really really beautiful!
Holy place of Jewish. Man and women are in different pray. Free parking outside, to come in you have to pass by some shops
Holy site. People come here from all over the world. Say a special prayer and take upon oneself a good deed for the blessing to come down. There is a Shul on site. Tables to have lunch. And a small cafe. Many gift shops. Great views of the Kineret lake.
Always 5 stars as usual. A great place to pray. Newly renovated. There a tomb for litvaks and for sefardim. The tombs of סומכוס,and Reb shimon Ben elazar are also located here. אלא דמארי ענני!
Amazing place. One should not pass by Tiberias a d not visit Rabbi Meir Baal a Ness. (There is a toilet, drinking water, parking lot.)
Recent renovations are very nice, great view over the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights. May the merit of Rabbi Mier open channels of blessings

There are 3 attractions in this place. Firstly, the beautiful view of the Kineret Lake. Secondly, the warm water springs, all natural. You may dip in the little pools made for visitors. Thirdly, visit the ancient synagogue with its amazing mosaic. Almost 2000 years old. Wonderful place to visit. A must see when visiting Israel. The lake is mentioned numerous times in the bible.
I have mixed feelings about this place. It’s not terrible, but it does feel run-down. In some countries, the sanitary conditions would likely lead to it being shut down. That said, it’s clearly a popular spot among locals, and many people seem to enjoy it. Admission and food prices are fair, and while the menu is very simple, the food itself is decent.
A small cozy place to warm the bones. Pay the cost of a simple coffee and can sit from opening to closing in a small park with picnic tables and 3 pools with temperatures of 30, 35 and 40 degrees Celsius. My wife and I came here for just an hour to warm up and see another attraction during our vacation, but even so, we liked it. Here you can sit and relax without picnics and other activities... just ... relax.
Small good park. Don’t skip film in synagogue - it’s very interesting. And healthy road for feet - you should definitely try it.
Not stunning but still worth your time. I had the chance to visit this site at the same time as a group so I could see the movie displayed inside. It was really interesting and made the place much more worth the time. I'd recommend you ask the attendant at the entrance to show the movie even if you're alone as it happened in other National parks, even when I was there completely alone. It seems this attendant was busy with something else than giving service to the visitors.
A good place to relax for the whole family. There are three thermal pools with different temperatures - 30, 35 and 40 degrees. You sit in the pool and admire the view of Kinneret. After the water procedures, you can take a shower, there are changing rooms. There are picnic tables. You can also take a blanket from home and lay it on the grass. I liked the pebble path for foot massage. Also, see what baths used to be in the small museum. Very interesting location! Try not to forget to take anything with you in advance (swimsuits, towels, slippers), because you can't buy these on the territory of the park.
Very beautiful mosaic floor. But it is only one room. Only ₪14.00 entry fee. Site currently under construction there are much noise. Will be wonderful once completed I think. Very close to the sea of Galilee where you may dip your toes in the water.
Open pools of natural hot springs. Only some of them are shaded. No place to change cloths (except a dingy toilet). but the place is very pastoral and beautiful with a great view of the Kineret Lake. I also recommend entering the restored Beit Kneset, known for its beautiful mosaic work.

Aqua-Kef is basically a bunch of floats and slides floating on the water in the Sea of Galilee (Lake Kinneret) just south of Tiberias. I thought that it might be low-key for adults, but we loved it a lot! It's different than a normal water activity because it's in the lake, so it's really fresh water. Climbing obstacles and falling off into the water, climbing back out and up again is so much fun. Great location on the kinneret. Awesome activity for kids and adults alike. Kids minimum age to participate is 6 yrs old. The water is deep, life perseveres are provided with payment. The length of time in the water was about an hour and half. Great workout. The staff and service were great and the owner was on sight making sure everything was running smoothly. One of the best activities to do in Israel. Highly recommended.
Super fun. This place is nuts, but great for the kids. You must book a time slot online in advance, very easy process. The snack bar is overwhelmed with people, you have 6 tens trying to serve 200 people at once. It’s chaos but they all stayed cool and did their best to serve everyone:) we booked the 90 minute time slot, 45 minutes is too little. Make sure you show up 20 minutes early to park and change before your time starts!
So fun. Came here yesterday. Slides into water. Genius!!!!. Just one thing. I was one of the first people to go in for the day, and therefore all the slides were dry and at first in hurt to slide down. As soon as more people came stuff got wet and got better. I wish that they just would take a hose, and hose down the slides
A lot of fun!! Very enjoyable with good slides and obstacles... It's really made for kids at the age of around 10 or 15 years It wasn't really interesting for adults but the kids had a lot of fun it's not too crowded very nice staff..
Was pretty fun, although I could use some instructiona as to how to enter and what worth to explore. Other than that, fun activity.
We were 7 people at Aqua Kef today, We had the best time, so well organized. A must for summer fun
So much fun! We really enjoyed Aqua Kef and had a blast! Climbing obstacles and falling off into the water, climbing back out and up again is so much fun. We will definitely be coming back!
The smaller course is appropriately tame for a young child, but it is hard for a full grown person to properly accompany them on it. Older kids have a great time on the more challenging course.
