Well maintained miniature fort (lookout post) which shows light into the recent past of emirates. Simple architecture which gives joy to the mind and soul. Amazingly preserved.
It's a very small fort on the outskirts of Mezairaa town with two rooms and a watch tower but the stairs were not good hence we couldn't go on top. There's a date farm on one side of the fort and the caretaker was a generous Bangladeshi man who gifted us some fresh dates and refused to accept the money. There's also a small mosque on the other side of the fort.
Small fort right off the road in the Liwa area. It was open to the public, free, no one around. You can climb up to the top, but there are some precarious stairs right up at the top. It was a really nice short visit.
This is a must visit Fort if you are planning to visit Dubai, just an hour drive away from Abu Dhabi and 2 hours drive from Dubai. In short - Hidden gem of UAE!
Nice but very small point. You should reached before sunset.
Lovely landmark to visit with your family 🙌🏼
Its so calm and serene.
