As with many castles this one was also rixh with history. We chose to explore on our own and found it to be a fantastic experience ( we really enjoy castles already and have seen many) but this one was fairly well preserved with many labels. It also includes a museum of a couple shipwrecks that have been partially re constructed which were truly fascinating. ( Ill say no to buying tickets in advance because it was simple to do with a Visa or Mastercard at the entrance otherwise you must use Turkish Lira currency)
This place is huge and beautiful kept. We spent nearly 3 hours combing through every detail and exhibit. The grounds, museum and setting inside the castle takes you back to life in the country so many years ago. Definitely visit if you are in the Bodrum area. Very less crowds also, so you can really spend some time by yourself. Also, the photos of the harbour from the castle walls will come out so good!
I wasn't expecting a great deal from the castle, so we saved it for a cloudy day, but I was wrong because it is a fascinating place. I forgive, a little, the Crusaders who in the early 15th Century stole stone from the already 2000 year old Mausoleum of Helicarnassus to refurbish and strengthen the existing ancient castle. But, in doing so, they created the historical and architectural heart of the Bodrum area. The local shipwrecks and their history just add an extra layer of interest and I defy any woman not to try on the golden crown of Artemesia. If, indeed, it was her. It is a very well spent 3 hour alternative to the bars and the beach, so if you are feeling footloose (final photo!) Do try it.
Quite disappointing to be fair!!! €23 entry fee wasn’t really worth it… maybe €10-12 would be better 👍🏻 I’ve noticed since been in Turkey & Bodrum, this country really loves to milk the tourists for there money 💰 a few old towers, a few old pots & statues, somewhat decent views but not a lot to see for the price you pay !!!! I was there almost 2 hours, hoping to find something profoundly interesting & utterly unique but not much else… the highlight was the indoor ship & if you wanted to see the other “ behind the glass ship “ that’s an extra €6 !!!! There are far greater things to spend €23 on but that’s my opinion 👋🏻
It's a large castle with a lengthy history and lots to see. Even without paying extra for the. Museum there are numerous displays from shipwrecks just off the coast. The day we went was extremely hot so we struggled as seniors to see everything. The separate buildings have fans to cool you down and that helped. As castles go it's a good one to visit.
The castle is very big and there is a lot of stairs. The view from above is unmatchable. If you have spare time don't miss it just take is slow and easy.
The scenic location of the castle is certainly dominant - Right on Aegean Sea! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of visiting and touring the castle, which is very well preserved and full of historical artefacts. It is certainly worth visiting.
Lovely museum, definitely worth visiting even during summertime thanks to the a/c installed in every exhibition room. The views of the city are incredible and if you get a guide you will be able to learn more about the history of the city.

Amazing views, it takes about 2 hours to walkthrough entire castle and museums. Unfortunately very expensive prices to enter museums and historical sites for tourists. Great views though.
Worth a visit if you’re into archeology. Entry fee is on the pricey side. Some of the exhibits inside the towers aren’t marked clearly until I saw someone coming out the door. Once inside there are some interesting exhibits but it was a nice way to cool off. Lots of viewpoints for some nice photos. There’s a cafe and museum shop onsite.
The museum is within a 14th Century castle that is much larger and more grand than it appears from the outside. The artifact collection was incredible. And the views of the city and Aegean were absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend visiting.
Absolutely beautiful museum! 💙 Amazing views of Bodrum Bay, fascinating shipwrecks displayed on glass and many interesting exhibits. You can really feel the spirit of history here. We visited in October — no lines, calm atmosphere. Worth spending 3–4 hours! 🏛️✨
No air conditioning working in the exhibit areas. Very expensive entry fee but not much to see.
Worth a visit. Informative experience and a well laid out museum. The whole family enjoyed the tour, and we used the audio guide too.
A lots of artifacts dotted around the various towers of Bodrum Castle with a main exhibition hall. This was fascinating and a very insightful exhibition around trading in the Mediterranean during the antiquity. Well worth the pricey ticket.
This is a good place to visit. It will take approx. 2 hrs. to get around the whole place. If you're into history and likes to take their time and read about each display, maybe alot 3hrs? Make sure to wear shoes that are good for hiking and not slippery. Some steps are a bit steep and the stones are a bit slippery. Bring some water too to rehydrate. 😊

Very cheap but food not great, gave us the wrong order, staff don't understand any English at all, which is fair enough as its in Turkey. Food very mediocre quality and small portions. Much better options in Bodrum.

The Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, is a fascinating site rich in history and mystery. Though only ruins remain today, the scale and artistry of the original structure are still evident. Informative signs and preserved sculptures give insight into its grandeur and the legacy of King Mausolus. It's a must visit for history lovers in Bodrum, powerful, atmospheric, and a striking reminder of ancient architectural genius.
It is interesting only if you are a big lover of history, otherwise you may be disappointed. Entrance is 3 eur , and the mausoleum is not existing, it is only ruins. For me it was interesting, I love history very much!
The history books are generous when they say 'only very little remains of this ancient wonder.' This site will appeal to those really interested in Ancient History and those who want to tick off the 7 Ancient Wonders off their bucket list. An excellent model helps the visitor imagine the epic scale of the monument and there's good information panels explaining the history and appearance of it too. Since so very little remains we also get to see the ruins of an even older tomb on the site and this could present future opportunities for the site to grow and evolve.
Fascinating place. A good bit to see mostly ruins. The exhibition hall is good showing big detailed pieces with carvings on. There is a video to watch inside which detailed the whole story and history of the mausoleum, which I'm glad I watched. It would of been some site when it was around. A must to see in Bodrum. Entrance was only 3 euros. Well worth it. You are free to explore the whole site
A wonderful place for anyone who loves ancient history and architecture. Among the ruins and in the small museum you can see many fascinating details: fragments of massive columns, intricately carved stones with floral patterns, and old relief slabs depicting human figures. There is also a scale model of the famous Mausoleum at Halicarnassus—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—which helps you imagine how the monumental structure once looked. The atmosphere is calm, with plenty of shaded areas, making it easy to stroll around and take in the details. A great spot for a leisurely walk and for immersing yourself in ancient culture. The dream came true i'm here Aleks recommends 👍❗️
Historic place of (once) one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Not much is left but enough to get a good impression.
Beneath the soft shade of garden trees, the ruins of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus whisper of lost splendor — carved stones and broken columns all that remain of a wonder built to defy time itself 💫
Sad ruins of an Antique Wonder destroyed by earthquake and then dismantled to build other place and especially the castle. If you want to visit it, visit it before the Castle and the try to find some of the pieces in the walls of the castle...

I was there a few years ago. I am a world traveler. I have stayed at the best from the Ritz in Paris to the Bel Aier in California. But this hotel stays on my mind. . I was in Istanbul for 2 weeks . I was on overload. This hotel was the perfect place to recharge. It was like staying at a good friend or relatives house. We stayed at the top room with the cupola. Loved it. Will visit again soon. God willing. By the way. When days we felt like it we would take day trips to the Greek Islands. Recomend to quality, experienced travelers. Save my rooms.
Sadly the Antique Theatre Hotel is closed, and now for sale but I did stay there in 2019 and in 2022.
Amazing views. Lovely breakfast overlooking the #Bodrum harbour each morning. Epic pool.
Best place in Bodrum with a best view. Lovely staff. The owner must have a good taste - hello owner!
Good hotel ,breakfast bit basic lovely pool area. They could not do enough for us
We loved it here. Would recommend 10/10
(Translated by Google) The hotel is located 750 m away from Bodrum Center, right across from the Ancient Theatre. The rooms and breakfast are as clean as home. There was a homemade pastry for breakfast on the first day. It does not have a very big pool, but the pool is clean and the view of Bodrum Marina from both the rooms and the pool is wonderful. All the employees were friendly and helpful, but especially Mr. Fahrettin took great care of us. You can come to relax with your family, groups of friends or alone because the concept of the hotel is not in the form of a building. 3 rooms are like a group. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the market and minibuses that pass in front of the hotel 24 hours a day are also ideal. Also, if you are lucky, you can come across a beautiful concert in the ancient theater and watch it from the hotel☺️ (Original) Hangi odanın daha manzaralı olduğunu seçemediğiniz çok iyi konumda bir otel. A lovely place to enjoy breakfast or brunch with cup of tea, the view is stunning. The fact that 173 years old mill still functioning is amazing.
Been coming here for years and bring our guests for the amazing views and the great spread for breakfast. Unfortunately this time was not a great experience, portions had been reduced and the price was 4000tl for 4 people. We only had 1 breakfast meze and a few sides and that was it. Not good value Unfortunately, just another causality of business greed in Bodrum. We wont be coming back again.
Beautiful majestic windmill, free of charge. Make sure you visit restaurant next door.
A must visit place to go if you ever come to Bodrum. It's better to walk from center to these windmills because you will see alot of great views on your way. On top windmills are almost destroyed but still it's worth going up and see the 2 different sides of the city.
Nice view. Windmill. It is better than butterfly garden or waterfall for example)
Don't expect to be blown away. Views are good but be aware the path is not good and there's lots of trash
It’s a nice place to have photo and suve from Bodrum. There is a restaurant in the place close at night.

🐪🐫🐪 We came from the sea and anchored. The beach is suitable for children. The view was nice. I didn't go into the sea. It is a very crowded beach… The piers can be used as a jumping ramp. I heard that there is a fee to enter this beach. I don't know the price but if you ask whether it is worth paying, it seems worth it... 🐫🐪🐫
SUN SET BEACH The Staff are so polite. Price is accountable.
It's the nicest beach in the bodrum/gumbet/bitez area , white sands and clear blue sea. Each sunbed section has it's own bar and cafe behind it.
Nice see view and white houses on the other side. Beach itself not so clean. Water clear, but from time to time you can find some can or empty cup
This Beach has very clean water.it is even way cleaner from the other ones. The ambiance is good and relaxing;actually it is for families..and away from bodrum city like about 15 or 20 minutes drive ;u should take a taxi or u can take a boat trip from bodrum marina to this beach. When we came there was many big boats on the Pier bringing bunch of tourists. And it occurred to me that this beach is not known from the tourists since all of the people and families were the natives and the reason that we came to this beach was that the guy with us was a regular visitor to bodrum from many years and he knows every corner and most of beaches. After couple of hours all the boats had left with all the people and the beach was only with natives again and noting that there is no parties or loud music here it is not like gumbet bay so that you know. But the beach here is cleaner then many others u will see the difference immediately. The water is crystal clear and the beds were for free and there is restaurant behind u can have your lunch and get back for some sun. In the end when we wanted to leave we saw many busses going back to the city I think it's every hour or half hour leaving so we took the bus back and it is way cheaper then a taxi. all in all was a great day and in case u go there U won't regret it. Go for it. Good luck
The beach is quite stoney for my liking, you have to pay to use the toilet and the camels aren't kept in the best conditions. I'm not a fan of animals being used in this manner so my opinion may be a little biased. The sea is crystal clear and great for a swim or snorkel as there are plenty of fish.
dirty beach, bad environnement, worst food, smelly place because of the poor ostriches that are kept in the smallest cage. don’t reccomend
Camel beach is a fabulous sandy beach. Close to Bodrum. It is ideal for families. Sun beds and umbrellas are available. Entry is 150 TL per adult and part of it can be used towards food. Staff at Sunset cafe are hospitable. Facilities are clean. Food is good. Highly recommended.

I don't know how to say it, but it was spectacular. The Turkish styled house and the Zeki Müren's music, the atmosphere, and everything about this museum are amazing. Paintings, clothes, cassette players... It is not difficult to understand why Zeki Müren is called "The Sun of Art." Seeing Zeki Müren's life, music, style, and art-filled house together was the best experience of Bodrum for me. (As a Turk)
Zeki Muren was a Turkish national treasure and has been called the Turkish Liberace. Known for singing, films, art and TV work. His house in Bodrum is now a museum to him after he died in 1996, aged 64 years. Made for an interesting visit. Here's some photos:
Zeki Müren Arts Museum is located in the heart of Bodrum and is dedicated to one of my favorite singers and artists, Zeki Müren. He was a true legend who brought a new and unique style to Turkish music, leaving an unforgettable legacy behind. The museum was originally his home, which he generously donated to the government after his passing. It has since been transformed into a museum displaying his personal belongings, stage costumes, awards, and photographs—beautifully reflecting his artistic life and personality. Zeki Müren believed that everything he owned came from the love and support of the public, and therefore, he gave it all back to the people after his death. I find this an incredibly noble and inspiring act that shows the greatness of his heart as much as his talent. If you are in Bodrum, you must visit this museum to pay tribute to this remarkable and noble man who forever changed the face of Turkish Music.
The Zeki Müren Arts Museum is more than a collection—it’s a heartfelt journey into the art, style, and spirit of one of Turkey’s greatest performers. With authentic ambiance, vivid displays, and the gentle echo of his music, this museum offers a moving experience that’s both educational and nostalgic.
Great museum. No rest rooms, despite a healthy entrance fee. The staff has a nice rest room, but not the guests. I'm sure that guests were welcome to use his bathroom when he was alive.
Zeki Muren Museum is a really cool spot, especially for those who love Turkish culture and music. I personally enjoyed it a lot because I’m interested in learning more about Turkish people, their art, and their history. The museum gives a nice glimpse into the life of one of Turkey’s most iconic artists.
Wonderful experience, I enjoyed. I love to see how people lived before, what they wore, jewel design, etc. There you also can see embroidered text on fabric. Oh mgd! So painstaking work, fantastically! I don’t remember ticket price.
A must to visit in Bodrum. 5 turkish liras to enter. If you want to know or learn more about Zeki Muren, you should really go there. Really see those personal belongings, jewels, furniture, clothes and car in the glass room in front of the house.

Beautiful day with beautiful staff. Great spot to relax, swim and chill. Great service and the food was excellent. Gokhan made us feel very welcome and taken care of
Great day to spend here. Amazing service and everything was top notch. If you pay online and book before you pay 4950TL for minimum spending money per person which is better than wasting money for just entrance fee. The club had great chilled vibes and food standards were very high with some great cocktails and huge range of food menu. Definitely recommend!
This place is amazing. Best beach club in Bodrum. The staff is great. They treat you like family. It’s very chill during the day and people are very respectful. A little later there is a DJ that plays nice vibes. It’s also great for swimming and tanning. They have a lot of beach beds and umbrellas and amazing food and drinks menu
Great place! Clean beach and beach chairs. Huge staff - someone always ready to help. Clear water great for swimming. Food is amazing and very good. Bring goggles if coming with kids! They do not have any to rent or borrow!
Good as usual☺️ Friendly staff, nice music, great time on the beach
We were a guest at Xuma Village for a pre-wedding beach party with friends and family, and it was such a great experience! The location is absolutely beautiful, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. Staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. In the evening the vibe got even better with a fantastic local DJ who kept the party going. Perfect mix of beach, music, and good times — would happily come back!
We had a great day at xuma village. The prices for food and drinks are for Turkish standards high and can be compared with German prices (Cocktails are here even more expensive). But the facility is great and the water is clear and clean. You feel very comfortable even if our waiter was a bit arrogant. the online reservation process is very complicated and needs to be improved.
Absolutely horrible if you care at all about not being scammed. Went there with a large group with an entrance fee of around $125 which gave us that much credit to spend on food/drinks. Little did we know that the prices on the menu were sometimes 1/4 of the actual prices. I had to ask multiple servers for the actual price, each giving a different amount. Beach was ok. Honestly, just go to a public beach anywhere in Bodrum to save the hassle

Recently opened Divan Pub Bodrum. Location: excellent Environment ; excellent Service: excellent Menu: very good Price: reasonable Divan Pub is probably the best diners chain in Turkey. Their quality is consistent at each of their locations. Divan Bodrum is located inside Bodrum Marina, with a beautiful view of the harbor from the upper level terrace. You can't go wrong with Divan Pub Bodrum.
Very nice and vibrant place. Plenty of restaurants and local markets . Lots of play areas for kids
Great Marina Very attentive My wife passed her IYT crew 🙌
You should visit and enjoy every moment
The place looks like a medieval trading port, totally recommend.
Really nice place, good prices
Toilets and showers spotless and cleaned after each use. Staff helpful and friendly. Close to restaurants and supermarket
A must visit place at Bodrum. If you dont like the crowded center at night take a walk to Marina and enjoy a live music cafes with teasty food. Also visit a Palmarina (marina located at Yalikavak)

That place is amazing. Short hike from the bottom where for some reason there is barrier put down but in 30 min you can reach the fortress and the view is astounding.
A fun walk up to the old city of Pedasa. It’s not a difficult walk but you’d still need to be pretty fit for it. I wouldn’t recommend walking in the middle of a hot day, so an early morning or late afternoon trek would be better. Lots of beautiful fauna around, we even collected some herbal plants all long the way.
Walked from Gumbet to Pedasa, great walk but don't under estimate the distance from the entrance of Pedasa gatehouse to the top. Brilliant views and a real sense of history in the remains of this city. Great to meet some sheep and lizards around the place !
Closed for the offseason it seems, but able to walk around the gate. Unfortunately can’t drive through and the road up is steep and not roomy enough to fit two cars side-by-side. Really nice location nearby in a place like Bodrum to do a mini hike. About a mile long and you get to see the acropolis and great views.
Great place for a walk. I wish it was protected more. Worth to visit
Must-visit for those who love trekking among mostly unspoiled nature and want to pay their respects to archaeologists' efforts. From the Athenaeum, you can follow the über-convenient red+white markers on the trail to get to the Twin Towers. You will be rewarded! I would also recommend taking the scenic road back towards Bodrum. It runs along the side of the hill and offers splendid views.
Managed to drive right to this spot on Google maps, and park on a paved road, but it’s really tight so just pray you don’t run into other cars. You can get a decent view of bodrum here! Also we climbed the rock path but actually there are stairs.
Historical landmark place that is very clean and calming where you can easily walk. Only the route to the parking lot where the beginning of the park itself is is not very well maintained and very narrow, but otherwise everything is very beautiful.

Radisson Collection beach was really nice. There’re tall palm trees, grass, sandy beach, a pier to go swimming from, lounge chairs, umbrellas, a cafe with food & drinks, a bar and a small kiosk of Starbucks. Entrance is with a fee that provides you with a beach towel, a chais lounge and umbrella. The staff keeps the beach clean. The sea is crystal clear, clean and calm even on a windy day. Prices are a little on the expensive side.
The ambience is nice,Good organised beach and not overcrowded! Entrance is 1.500 TRL=39.41 Euros per person includimg sunbed and one local or not alcoholic drink....Real robbery!!! We enjoyed our stay there but we tried to order a 2nd drink 500TRL = 14 and the barman made the first and i was waiting for the 2nd... Finally, another guy came ,took the Aperol Spritz and drove me to another bar, because the barman didn't know to make the cocktail in the first bar!😂🤣😂 In the meantime the Aperol and its ice cubes were melting. Finally, after 25 minutes we got the 2 drinks 🤣😂🤣
Feedback on Dog Policy at the Beach This beach is beautiful and proudly flies the Blue Flag, which sets high standards for cleanliness and organization. However, despite a clear sign banning dogs, there were many dogs on the beach and in the water. I kindly urge the hotel @RadissonCollection to enforce its own rules more consistently. Allowing this behavior undermines the Blue Flag standards and affects the experience for other guests. A well-managed beach matters. I hope to see improvements in the future.
The great beach! Palm trees, green grass, umbrellas are located at a distance - everyone has a private space, you can swim - not shallow, there is the necessary infrastructure.
Great location, very secluded if thats what you are after. There is no sand but if you don’t mind it, it’s a great location with great views!
Few years ago there was perfect sandy beach, natural, which is very rare in bodrum. But after the construction finished they put stones on a beach and it s not 5 star anymore. But it s still unique and beautiful place of the Aspat mountain.
We were looking for a nice quiet beach to visit. Had planned to go to Deve beach but our cab driver recommended Aspat instead. Don’t regret it at all. The entrance fee was pricey but the experience was worth it. We lay out on loungers, went swimming and had an overall good experience.
Very quiet and peaceful. A bit windy and shallow water
