(Originale) A Cornish gem of a cafe, fabulous food served in a beautiful quaint chapel. we stopped in here for our lunch while in stunning Port Isaac, excellent service by all the staff, fast efficient & friendly, my hubby had ham baguette with salad slaw & side of chips, I had the Fisherman's Platter, crusty bread, butter, mackerel pate, smoked salmon & prawn cocktail served with salad & slaw, simple but perfect the presentation of both meals was excellent. the cafe has a bright & airy decor with plenty of original details, lots of local history on the upper circle. this was by far the best place we found to eat on our weeks stay in Cornwall, great food great value, highly recommend this place if your visiting Port Isaac we will definitely be going back on our next Cornish adventure.

It’s a small cafe but around four tables (from memory!) and dogs are welcome as long as they don’t sit with you (which was fine for us and makes perfect sense). The people who run it are so friendly and welcoming and you can tell that they care about everyone who comes in and have built up lovely friendships with regulars. We were visiting for a anniversary trip and bought our dog with us. We had a nice conversation with the gentleman who works/ owns the place and he was generous enough to give us a heart shaped shortbread biscuit as a little celebration which was appreciated. I’d recommend popping in if you’re in Port Isaac if you’re looking for somewhere dog friendly and people friendly. Pretty impressive selection of choice. We had the coffee and walnut cake and some plain scones. Both were presented beautifully and were amazing! Thank you to the owners for being so wonderful and welcoming, you made us very happy and full of cake!
