Our guide was very informative of the horses names and background of the many horses we saw. We got to get up and personal not only with the mama’s but also the yearlings! We also went into some empty barns which were elaborately designed both inside and outside. I learned that Jonabell is also one of their farms.

An exceptional place to tour with an extremely welcoming team and great access to see the stallions, babies and more. The tour is relaxed, giving ample time to see the horses and our tour guide, Brianne, was wonderful. She shared a ton of history and answered any question anyone could think of! The staff was very understanding and patient with our tardiness because of the difference of time zone in Bowling Green. They gave age appropriate information, were friendly, and graciously sent educational information for a 4 H club I'm affiliated with in PA, as well as, letting us know where the local places to eat supper were. World class operation, with world class stallions! We have scheduled several tours while in the horse capital of the world with Jonabell having been our first - it will be hard to beat! Our tour guide Alexa and all of the Godolphin staff were amazing and informative, but of course the Stallions steal the show. Any racing fan will be beyond excited to be up close and personal with some of the sports most revered equine athletes: Medaglia D'Oro, Street Sense, Essential Quality, and Frosted just to name a few. Then of course there are the memorials to Bernardini, Affirmed, and Street Cry. I spent a morning in heaven - thank you for opening your doors and sharing your Darley stallions with the fans!

Very interesting place. My daughter and I and two of my grandkids went to check out the place. We heard in the morning between 6-10 you can go watch the horses get exercised. We got to talk to a few of the people who worked there and even got to pet one of the horses. Learned several things about race horses. They find it hard to get weight on them since they are so active. The horses drink 15 gallons of water a day and eat at least 15 lbs of food a day. I loved watching them a lot and learned a lot. You have even have breakfast at the race track kitchen.

We decided to go on a horse tour, as we have been to Lexington several times and don’t much about horses or horse racing. We choose to tour Mill Ridge Farm.
Our tour guide, Michelle was beyond amazing!!! It was a fairly small group (5 total).
Michelle provided very detailed information about the horse industry, horses, and history of Mill Ridge Farm. She answered all of our questions.
Michelle introduced us to the Stallions and then we got to feed carrots to the mares.i must add my favorite stallion is Oscar Performance…what a character!
After the tour we purchased several items from the gift shop to show our appreciation of Mill Ridge Farm.
This was one of the most informative tours I have ever taken. You could say she kept me on the edge of my saddle!

Our 90 minute group tour of the farm was a highlight of our trip to the Lexington area. Shay (sp?) provided a wealth of information about the history and horses associated with the farm. The property is beautiful and the multiple stops during the tour allowed guests the opportunity to interact with the gentle thoroughbred and feed them carrots! Mill Ridge Farm was one of the highlights of our trip to Kentucky that exceeded my expectations. The farm itself was beautiful and well maintained. Our tour guide, Ryn, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. The horses were absolutely amazing, and I had so much fun watching my children having an opportunity to feed and pet horses. This tour was absolutely incredible. Michelle was the most amazing guide. 10 stars isn't enough for the knowledge, kindness and joy she brings to the tour. She was so informative with the history of the farm, the family and all the horses. She had all the answers to the verrrrry many questions I had and you could really tell she loved being there and part of the Mill Ridge family. The tour was so hands on and never felt rushed or forced. It was such a surreal experience to see award winning horses, feed them carrots, learn about their champion offspring and pet all the mares and babies. I got so many great pictures and memories that will last a lifetime. I started recommending the tour to my friends as soon as I got back into my car before I even left the farm. Loved it so much. My brother and I had a fun time visiting Claiborne’s and meeting all of the retired racehorses that we left feeling like we know more about racehorses now than when we did when we first entered. Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable about all of the racehorses that were on the farm and we learned that there was so much more that went behind the scenes from the breeding program to the number of shares a racehorse may have that the average spectator just doesn’t really take the time to think about. I only gave 4 stars because I wished the tour was a little longer and that we could explored more grounds cause this place was massive but given that there is another tour package that this farm offers with it being on the shuttle we hope that there will be another opportunity for us to come back again so that we could really get a glimpse of the property. But overall it’s a very beautiful farm and the horses are obviously well taken care of, so even if the prices are a little high it’s understandable cause the cost to maintain the property and take care of these horses are in no way cheap.

We took the All Farm Shuttle Tour initially, but returned the next day to take the Visit Claiborne Farm tour so we could see the stallions. Be aware that the shuttle tour does not include the stallion barn; however, you may get to see War Front if he is turned out while you are there. Mary was our guide on the shuttle tour. She had a great personality and did an excellent job telling us about the history of the farm and info about the grounds. We were able to stop several times to feed peppermints to the mares and pet them and their foals. I cannot recall our stallion barn guide’s name, but he was great as well. Very knowledgeable about the horses. He brought out War of Will and War Front and allowed us to pet them. We also were able to see some of the others in the barn and feed peppermints. Both tours ended with a discussion in the cemetery where Secretariat and several others are buried. I will say all the people, including the associate in the gift shop, were very friendly and welcoming. Good vibes here!

Beautiful place. Very informative tour and they allowed us to take pictures with the horses and pet them. Rodeo was our guide and he was great. If you have mobility issues, I wouldn’t worry! The walkways are paved, and the distances walked are all fairly close together. If you love horses, you need to visit Claiborne. They do too!

Great place to visit and see some race horses and learn about the breeding and racing industry. Take a tour and get to see the stables of many famous horses such as Secretariat and Bold Ruler. What a wonderful and relaxing experience! Being in Kentucky, home of The Kentucky Derby, my initial thought was that this place was strictly about the thoroughbred but I was so mistaken. They covered every type of horse, horse event, history of the lineage of horses, and so much more! It was truly a great and educational experience. Everyone was nice, professional, and encouraged us to ask questions and had plenty of answers. Such a rich history at this 1,200 farm, filled with horses to pet. A review doesn't do it justice. You need to experience this place. Everything was on a schedule (if you like structure as I do) and timed at a leisurely pace so you can get to the next event on time at a comfortable pace. Or you can experience it on your own schedule. So much h to do! This place needs to be on your bucket list. Entrance pricing is very reasonable and so are items at the gift shop. Make a day of visiting history!

When visiting the Kentucky Horse Park I have had nothing short of an amazing experience. The Horse Park is in a great and easily accessed location, being right off the highway. The Horse Park has a great show facility. The rings have good footing and are very spacious and well kept. The big grass cross country field is every horse persons dream. Along with the layout of the horse park is really nice with having the horse show on one half and the museum and other activities on the other side. The museum is very easy to get to and has tons of parking. It was also super fun to have the chance to meet the horses that live in the big barn and the people who care for them. It was super interesting to get to walk though the other side of the horse park because I spend most of my time horse showing there. The horse shows are always done so well having food trucks and plenty of fun thing to do other than show! Overall a great experience every time.

This is really a great place to get a feel for the Kentucky horse country as you're passing through. Can definitely spend two mornings there. If you try to make it one long day it'll probably be too much at one time! When you buy a ticket it's good for the second day also. You'll see all kinds of breeds of horses and there are several museums on-site, you can go for a reasonably priced nice horseback ride, there's scheduled events throughout the day for visitors to see. After we had a problem driving to the farm, our tour guide, Jorge, went above and beyond to make sure we were able to see Tapit and get a photo with him. Let's start with Reese who by far is the nicest person I've ever met. My best friend called a few weeks ago wanting to plan a surprise proposal for his girlfriend. Reese immediately told him to come out and check out the place and he would help with whatever he could. Evan's Orchard didn't charge him a penny to setup and basically gave us creative control to decorate however we pleased. Reese picked me and my wife up in a golf cart when we arrived and drove us to the spot to decorate. Again, this couldn't have been done without the help of Reese(you're the real MVP). Everything was absolutely perfect that day, the weather, the sunflowers, the wild flowers, the champagne, the kettle corn, EVERYTHING! This place is a gem!

Beautiful grounds & friendly staff, they can accommodate large groups of people too. Wonderful store with lots of gorgeous stuff. The play area is enormous & can entertain toddlers to teens. We look forward to going annually! I put in an application to the Covington, LA location. Initially, they requested more information. I provided additional information. I have owned horses my entire life, and I worked at an equine veterinary practice for nearly 20 years. I paid the $25 application fee and never heard back from these people. I mean nothing, not a no but thanks, maybe, just nothing. I have since purchased a lovely OTTB from a private owner and am very happy with my new horse. New Vocation's lack of follow through is none less than disappointing. I truly wanted to adopt a horse that needed a home that could provide it with optimum care. I do not recommend the Louisiana location, yet I have heard very positive feedback from the Ocala and Lexington organizations.

Of the three farms in Kentucky and the two(ish) farms I've been to in California, Spendthrift Farm is definitely my favorite horse farm to visit! The staff are nice and very knowledgeable, while the actual farm is such a pleasant place to be. I feel that this farm embodies the spirit of Kentucky: many rolling hills and fields of Kentucky bluegrass. It was definitely a great experience and I recommend that any of you who like horses and horse racing go on a tour here!

We love to travel around camping especially more farm friendly areas. However I was expecting more of a farmers market. Being a country girl I like to pick out my own vegetables especially tomatoes. The eggs are good but pricey at 10 dollars a dozen and I do appreciate the organic way of farming. So I didn’t mind buying the eggs. The tomatoes we bought on the other hand not so much. These are not what I would have chosen. The workers are friendly so overall this was a good experience just not what I expected from the pictures. You will not get near any chickens, turkeys, cattle, lambs. You will not be engaging with any animals at all. The whole tour felt like a marketing scheme for their farm. I respect it and I respect our farmers, especially our organic farmers, but I really think it would be neat if we could’ve been around some animals and seen more of the farm. I understand it’s a lot of acres but it really felt to marketed towards “buy organic”. I respect the education aspect of things but it just seems really not worth your time or kids times. Not what I expected.

We had an amazing wedding at the Thoroughbred Center! We went in to decorate only to find that they had done the vast majority of it and had done so beautifully. All of the staff, from the bartenders to the security were fantastic. However, Emily was truly amazing. We had our wedding there. I was not impressed by the staff throughout the whole process of planning the event as well as after. We were supposed to have our ceremony outside and our reception inside. Because of bad weather, we were unable to have the ceremony outside. We did not get the money back ($1,000) for the cost of the outdoor ceremony even though the staff said we would. We were also supposed to get our damaged deposit ($250) refunded the week after the wedding. Two weeks later....still waiting on that check. Yes they offer an affordable price for a wedding venue, but you get what you pay for. The staff were not very helpful when decorating and getting the venue ready for the ceremony. I had to get my groomsmen to help kid in a big arch from outside because they said there was nobody there to move it. Some of the lights fell down inside the venue and I had to get on a ladder and fix them myself. For what we paid, they should have had someone there to help. Look somewhere else if you’re looking for a wedding venue.

We rented the Lounge and Runway area for our wedding reception. The venue itself was beautiful and perfect for our group. From the initial tour, to the night of the event, the staff at the The Thoroughbred Center provided top notch service. Amy was great at assisting us with planning and setting up the event. She also made sure we did not have to worry about one thing the night of the event. The grounds crew did a great job of making sure the parking lot and sidewalks were clear of any snow prior to our event. I cannot say enough about the venue and the staff at The Thoroughbred Center.

Everything was arranged as requested. The lounge was a nice intimate size for our gathering of 75-80 guests and an excellent setting for our office gathering. I have lived in the Lexington area for 15 years and have never tried Lee’s. After a situation of food not being ready at a competitors when we ordered ahead and was told we needed to wait an additional 20 minutes past our quoted time we decided to give them a try. They blew their competitor out of the water in terms of service 100%. They were friendly and we had the food right away. I have had better friend chicken but for the friendly service and convenience they are worth the money.

As I'm walking out the door,the shift manager say this ain't burger king and you can't have things your way. The Reason I like MTO food is that its fresh for the price for frozen food. Pretty good chicken. If you like Lees Famous Recipe than the is your only option left in the Lexington area. I had just about gave up on this place as I had tried to come and eat here several times over the past year, and sadly always found the dining room to be closed, with drive through service only (which I am not a fan of). However they have finally started opening the dining room again and to my surprise the entire restaurant has been remodeled on the inside. My food was served hot, fresh, and fast by a friendly employee working the front counter. I enjoyed watching Saturday NCAA football games on one of their big screen TV’s while I enjoyed my meal. The food has went way downhill. I spent $27 for 2 combos and a Regular side of Liver & Gizzards. First I ordered the 2 pc chicken combo but the boy taking the order rang it up as a meal causing confusion as to why it didn't come with a drink (it was supposed to be a combo) when I pointed this out to the manager she was rude and nasty about correcting this and acted like it was my fault when I clearly said 2Pc Combo, they act like you should apologize for their mistakes or better yet dont mention them cause God forbid you actually expect them to do their job correctly.. then my liver & gizzards had No Gizzards in them & yes the order was correct on the receipt so it was who ever packaged the foods fault at this point i didn't even ask them to correct it .. and the Catfish Combo was nasty the 1 small piece of fish was rubbery and barely room temp and the mashed potatoes was cool and lumpy. Do Not waste your money on this place and the dining room had dirty tables and windows and there's a leak in the ceiling that will drip on you, But they seriously need to hire Staff that can HEAR and READ. Just save your time and money and don't waste it on a incompetent business like this who obviously Does Not Care about the customers!

I've never been to a place where they do not stand by their food.. I placed the order and they did not fill my order as requested. When I called to complain the manager admitted that she rang my order up wrong but that she told the staff to correct the order. When I got home and found out that my order was not the way I requested I called to complain, the manager told me to bring the food back but it was too far to drive and too late as I had already worked all day. She told me to bring it back the next day I took it back, needless to say I did not get a replacement nor was I happy with the results, so I called to file a complaint with the Business bureau and they will never have to worry about me patronizing their business again .

Went from seeing a six day old foal laying in his stable to seeing him run in his paddock with his mother was amazing. We highly recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful tour on a sunny blue sky afternoon in January. Horse country was gorgeous as there was a nice blanket of snow covering the fields. Leslie was very welcoming and very informative. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the history and the background on the horse racing/breeding industry. Best part was watching the friendship between a barn cat and a champion stallion - too funny! On a recent trip through Kentucky we took a spur of the moment Horse Farm Tour. It exceeded our expectations. We were treated to behind the scenes of a working horse farm up close and personal. We visited the Kentucky Horse Park where many famous derby winners are memorialized. It is a definite must do if you’re passing through Lexington. I would highly recommend it.

Leslie was wonderful! Her knowledge of Kentucky horse country, horses and racing is incredible! She pointed out farms and landmarks from famous horse movies and we have been marathon watching horse movies and picking these out ever since we arrived home! She was so kind and such a safe driver as well! We loved the experience of getting to feel like we were a part of the mysterious world of horse racing for one afternoon. She even stopped at an actual horse breeding/training facility and best part, we got to be up close and interact with these magnificent beautiful animals! Best tour ever!!

Tour van was on time and called me early to let us know she was on her way to the pick up point. Leslie was our tour guide and driver. Very knowledgeable about the area and some farms. Keenland was a beautiful place as well as all of Lexington horse country. We spent a full four hours on the tour and it was a small group of 8 people which made it much more personal than with large groups. Thank you Leslie for a great tour and BTW, you should try the Thoroughbred Restaurant which is where we went after you dropped us off for lunch. Awesome burgers and onion rings.

Coming here is a step back in history. What an incredible property full of history and beauty. The clubhouse is the way to go if you have the in since it is less crowded and the view of the track is lovely and unobstructed. You do have to dress up if you go to the clubhouse but its worth it. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would 100% recommend. Must visit when in town. Relatively easy to get in and out with uber’s.

My two experiences at Keeneland so far have been lovely! I’m from Louisville and have been to Churchill Downs a few times, which can be extremely hectic. If you’re looking for a slower paced, cheaper, and more up-close look at the races then Keeneland is the place for you. The grounds of Keeneland are beautiful, the food is exceptional, and the race experience is on par with bigger tracks like Churchill. The bigger atmosphere of Churchill means that views of the actual race are limited and extremely expensive. However, at Keeneland you can be right next to the horses and jockeys as they walk to the race, and you can be right on the rail during the race all for the price of a general admission ticket. They also host events for college students like the college day that I just recently went to. It’s a free day that is a great opportunity to hangout with your friends and have an opportunity at big scholarships (I didn’t win sadly). I’d recommend this place for anyone who loves horses or is just looking for a fun day with their friends!

We absolutely love Keeneland Race track and its sales venues. We go here every spring and fall for the races and plan to go to all of their sales as well. They exemplify the highest class of the sport of kings. We hope to one day be able to raise a foal who could race and/or be sold at an auction of theirs. Dr. Kindra and the rest of the staff were amazing to work with! We traveled 5 hours to Rood and Riddle and I would make the drive again if necessary.
My horse was unfortunately diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. Dr. Kindra was very informative and gave me her recommendations on the best care for him. They even had the surgery staff evaluate the scans and were very honest, recommending against the surgery in his case.
Even after taking my horse home, Dr. Kindra would check in regularly and continued helping with medication changes when necessary.
She even took the time to send a personalized sympathy card when I had informed her of his passing. It was very much appreciated. She cared just as much for my 20 year old backyard horse as she would have for an elite competition horse.

They filmed a couple of scenes from Secretariat and have pictures in the home. We got there a little late that day so we missed much of what they do but The horses were beautiful that we got to see and was even allowed to pet them. I am the lucky vendor at the Southland Farmers Market that gets to be their neighbor! They are absolute gems! So kind and considerate...going above and beyond time and time again, not only for their customer...but extending that same generous nature towards their fellow vendors (me😁.) I visited and toured Endeavor Farm in October. The farm was beautiful and the grounds well maintained. New fencing was actively being installed and, with the land and facility expansion, the horses boarded there have plentiful space and options.
