(원문) For those of us who choose not to have  a car, getting to Nora's tearooms is a bit of a Magical Mystery tour, but Sproughton does have a reasonable bus service from Ipswich. For me, it was a train from Felixstowe, then a 20 minute cycle ride to the cafe. The trek is absolutely worth it. Housed within 'The Shed' (of which I will write a separate review), every single thing is 1940's themed, from the knitted tea cosies, the music, and menus contained within facsimile WW2 ration cards. As well as the staff doing their hair and wearing clothes from the era. There's even a sixteen year old helper, not on duty on the day of our visit,  who is so into the period, staff told me his bedroom is decorated appropriately. One presumes his obsession doesn't go as far as wearing knee-length baggy grey shorts to school? They even have the place furnished and decorated in 1940's style, done really well, even down to lace tablecloths and chocolate mice on the teaspoons. It's all very impressive. The food is too. While the four ladies in my group tucked into a traditional cheese scone tea, I opted for one of the 'specials of the day', an absolutely splendid pork, ham and chicken pie. Served with new potatoes, coleslaw, salad, a pickled onion, gherkin, piccalilli and Branston pickle, it really made an impressive looking plate of food. Just £15.95 although, with a shared pot of tea, I was surprised to be handed a bill for £19.45. Is a pot of tea for two really £3.50? On that subject, I felt their pricing is somewhat on the high side, the full afternoon tea (has to be pre-booked)  being a whopping £25. Earlier in the week, I had partaken of Marco Pierre White's version in Felixstowe for £10 less. But let us not allow the prices to detract from a venue which is so much more than just the food. You pay for what you get and Nora's 1940's Tearoom is absolutely worth every penny.
