I had the squash rigatoni - the pasta itself was undercooked and chewy, rather than al dente, and the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. Couple of little play parks on site and were right next to river. Good site for Scottish Borders..We didn't use amenities as they were across the road just a little walk from park. As I said earlier we did upgrade by quite a bit of money from the Sun offer to have better accommodation but on arrival no beds made up and infact no bed linen supplied. Odd I thought even when we have had basic accommodation we have always had beds made up. So rang reception nice lady there said well the Sun hasn't told people that only Premium accommodation have beds made up and linen supplied but she said we can supply bed linen but it's another £20 to hire it!! So we had to have it, but we were not impressed that we had already booked an upgraded caravan by over £100 so did think bedding should have been included in that. Would we go back yes but making sure linen was included next time.

Site appeared clean and we all loved feeding the ducks (got some seed from the fabulous hardware store in the town). Caravan had a few cobwebs but nothing major. Kitchen blind needs a good, easily missed as usually open in the day but when closed at night we could see many people's cooking splashes. Cooking equipment was basic, but with a bit of make do and had everything covered. A carpet sweeper or little vacuum thing would have been helpful. The sweeping brush wasn't really suitable for carpet. Only major disappointment for us was we thought we had free swimming (we'd phoned and asked but were assured they dont charge extra for swimming) this was not the case. Nothing mentioned when we were checking in and they told us about the pool. The information also said you had to book your time in the pool 24hrs in advance (Which isn't ideal for a relaxing holiday) saying that we were able to book on the same day which was a little better. It was only when booking we were informed there was a cost. If it wasn't for having disappointed children on a rainy day we wouldn't have bothered. All costs should be declared up front and there should be consistency!! Very very disappointing The site is nice and clean but could not figure out where the recycling was. The only down side to this site is that the club house and swimming pool is on the other side of the main A road through Wooler. Locally can highly recommend Doddingtons Milk Bar next to the swimming pool. The town isn't far away with a great selection of independent shops.
