(원문) Have been twice in past month, once for a Carvery with friends whilst visiting Cribbs and then again for breakfast following a hospital appointment. On both occasions the food was great, Carvery had plenty of choice and was thoroughly enjoyed by 4 adults and 1 child. As for puddings none of us had room for cake but several slices were purchased for later. These slices were enormous and very value for money although it did take me 3 sittings to eat it 😋. We reserved a table 2 weeks before and was sent to a booth sat there looking though the menu to then have anouther customer come over and politely say you need to move as we have already order food to this table. We then went back to the staff and said you put us in a table that was already in use they mumbled somthing under their breath and then told us to sit anywhere. Once sorted at a new table we ordered via the app. drinks were brought to the table well more like slammed on the table. The food was then delivered but the order was wrong when explaining that wrong items were delivered the staff apologised and sorted the error ls out but while doing this showed attitude to each other in from of us. The food was average quality, okay for the price we paid. When leaving we decided to check out the take away cake option as they looked amazing. When we got home we were very disappointed in the cake as ordered the mars cake but was given chocolate fudge and the carrot cake was nothing like the cake they have on display as the top design was completely different no ice carrot no icing and the fudge cake had a different top. Almost feels like the cakes in cabinet are for show and you actually get a cheaper version???? After one bite of each cake it was clear these cakes have been stored for a long time as very dry and just old. This is from somone that is not a fussy eater and adores any cake but on this occasion the cake went in the bin, first time ever throwing away cake for me 😂 Would still recommend visiting the pub as the food is really well priced especially being that close to the shopping centre but avoid the cake and expect minimum service

Had a family room and it had great freebies for our son that made it a lovely stay- cookie, special cup and plate, milk dispenser, mini robe and slippers and a rabbit wash bag. He was really happy and it was very cute! The room was big enough for us and clean but only one robe. We called for more pillows and had a quick response which was good as we were all pretty tired! Walk-in shower was fine- did miss a bath, especially with a small child. We used the pool which was nice and family times were reasonable. The changing rooms were not very clean though. The breakfast was lovely! Good selection, great service and lovely area to dine. We had to book a slot which was fine by us and to be honest, we prefer it that way to get us out of bed and also to avoid overcrowding at the counters to get your food.

(원문) It was a very amazing experience booked for our 1st anniversary. They also offered extras, which I took advantage of with a nice bath pamper set and a very large bouquet of flowers. Both went down a treat with my wife and was pleasantly surprised. Booked for one night as a package that included dinner and breakfast it was a lovely short break. The hotel was very well presented and clean with lush and dazzling features throughout. From the well kept car park through to the cozy room. The room was a lake side ground floor room that had a small terrace. The terrace provided a nice private out door space that was perfect for taking in the picturesque view and gathering some fresh air. The double bed was extremely comfy and must have been bigger than a standard double. The room also had a double sofa and table with a decent sized TV. Along with all the other features and facilities you'd expect to come with a hotel room and then some. Hair dryer, dressing table complete with mirror and lighting. A Kettle and coffee machine with assorted beverages, a fridge with jugs for water and milk that can be topped up via the communal water and milk dispensers out in the corridors. The bathroom was a decent size that had a bath with a shower. The bathroom also featured a heated towel rail and a very large full wall anti mist mirror Infront of the large sink with 2 prong shaver sockets. Additionally, bath robes and complimentary toiletries were provided that if you liked, new and packaged ones could be purchased at reception. The restaurant provided a fabulous atmosphere, high raised roof with the exposed timbers and the exquisite fireplaces brought a literal warmth and welcoming feeling. The service was fairly swift and we were given plenty of time to decide from an impressive menu. The food was prompt and spectacular and we were checked on at least once every course and offered additional refreshments etc. The whole experience left us feeling well cared for with a feeling of VIP treatment as the staff couldn't do enough for us. We did not eat in our room but from our experience in the restaurant, I can not imagine why it would be any different from dining in the restaurant. It must be said that all staff were patient, kind and courteous even with my strong accent that can be difficult to understand at times. Even staff that we had no interaction with were very kind and courteous, one member of staff even stopped and held the door open for us with one hand and a large tray of crockery in the other hand, fair play. We were unable to take advantage of the health suite and spa at this stay. However, it must be noted that it looked absolutely amazing and others that were partaking seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. The location of the hotel overall is fabulous for shopping trips with a shot drive to the city centre or Cabot Circus and cribs causeway shopping mall's. I feel that our stay at this hotel with the image, cleanliness, food and service are the very definition of five star. This now for me raises the bar for other hotels and restaurants. We are already arranging another stay at the Aztec for longer and additionally looking at potential stays at other Daniel Thwaites hotels as well.

They changed our room to one a lot more usable for someone on crutches without us even asking us. (원문) Wow, this was a little paradise I didn’t want to come home from. We visited for 2 nights in May and everything was fabulous. My tip would be grab yourself a balcony room for the amazing views. The food was lovely and all the staff so helpful at both breakfast and the bar tender who nearly fell off his stool getting the gin down was funny. The bathroom in the room was fab with gorgeous toiletries. I don’t think your pics on the website do the balcony justice or the views, so I added some. There is also a bar with a massive patio area that you can sit out and soak up the views, booze and hopefully sun, we had an amazing laugh. (원문) Really enjoyed a 2-night stay in this hotel. It's a great location with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance and a 10-minute Taxi from Bristol Temple Meads. Lovely views and neighbourhood. The room had a problem with the shower and the A/C (on the hottest day of the year!) and both were completely fixed within a couple of hours after letting the staff know. They were very friendly, extremely efficient and did an excellent job repairing it so fast! The room was comfortable and nicely decorated with a great view. The red onion chutney had far too much vinegar in it and didn't have the hint of sweetness that red onion chutney usually has. The mushroom tarts were disgusting. First impressions: As a disabled person I had to go through the staff entrance that was filled with dirty mops/cleaning products and personal items to get to the restaurant which I could only do because my partner had to walk up the steps and ask for a ramp or another entrance. Unfortunately the Beef parfait was served on a hot dog bun and only tasted like English mustard and the “egg yolk” was some kind of gelatinous paste tubed on top like how you put ketchup or American mustard on a hot dog. The asparagus was over cooked and soggy and unseasoned and the portions were tiny for the price and flavour. The sauce that came with the fish was inedible it was so sour and overpowering. Mocktails are the same price as cocktails and our waiter offered to make me a mix of lemonade, elderflower and apple which was 4.10 (very kind of him) and it was lovely. Cutlery and cups were clean. There was also a very confusing mix of music that were both the same volume. There is a small cocktail menu but Thomas would make anything else you may fancy so the options are unlimited. The staff are over the top with their friendliness, but this is not necessarily a bad thing; the teaware is cute and so far on my visits I've enjoyed delicious olives, a lovely selection of bread, a tasty toastie and crisps. They're always extremely busy so a booking is recommended if you want anything more than tea on the weekend. Cox impress with their individualised table service - I was even invited to smell the teas before ordering so I could be doubly sure about my choice. There are plenty of waiting and kitchen staff (the kitchen is open by the way), and they do well to cope with the stressfully large amount of customers. There is also a private party room downstairs which seems quite popular, and some outdoor seating. Prices are slightly above the average but not pretentiously extravagant. I would recommend this establishment.

When I went with my Mum there was about 3 other people in the entire cafe and we waited for around 40mins for the high tea to arrive... we were pleased when it did and the food was lovely. When we asked for the bill we ended up going to the till as it seemed to completely slipped through the net and we were on a bit of a schedule. When I visited with friends we waited about 30 mins for our drinks to arrive and then we ordered food. This was a 40-50 minute wait, we asked to share 1 mezze plate and then 2 arrived and it had 2-3 items missing from what was advertised on the menu so we had to send it back. Following this we asked for cream teas and this took another 20-30minutes. When the bill arrived we were charged for 2 mezze plates due to a mis-communication between staff and there was a slight confusion on what had happened so that was another 10 minutes delay. Cox and Baloney have a lovely set up on Cheltenham Road, I like the quirky interior and the idea of tea and cake served in an old fashioned way. Lots of choices of tea, "Lady's garden" made me chuckle and lots of cakes to choose from. We were a large party of 12 and most of us had pre-ordered over the phone so we thought things would run smoothly and that our orders might have been prepared in advance. However our orders came out in dribs and drabs very slowly. My cheese plater eventually arrived a long time after my pot of tea, this was 3 reasonable sized chunks of cheese, salad and chutney but no crackers. I checked the menu to find that the platter would eventually be accompanied by toast, this is different to the website that mentioned crackers!! Crackers would have been better and easier to prepare and serve, perhaps a time saving tip for the manager. Never had a cheese plater with toast before or had to wait so long I also noticed toast going to other tables who had arrived after us. Another person on our table asked for a cream tea, after a long wait came the tea, then after a long wait came the scone, then after a long wait came the cream then after a long wait came the jam. Exasperating!! The waiter and waitress were nice enough but they had too much to do and were disorganised. One of my friends sorted out the bill so I am not sure if the scone and tea that I was not charged for were on the house as a way of apology or just disorganisation again and I hope we didn't pay the service charge.
