Amazing place and an authentic experience. Only 3 items on the menu for dinner but this makes it a lot more simple. We had butter chicken which was delicious. Everything served in small dishes so you can make it up yourself depending on what you want. Highly recommend this place but make sure you book!

Believe the reviews. I can’t emphasise enough just how beautiful the food is from this family run restaurant. We have visited them as a large party group and as a couple, and we are always greeted by a warm and friendly authenticity and shown to our seat. It never feels performative.
They cater to us as vegans, even producing off-menu freshly made naan options and offering completely delicious alternatives.
The decor and calm atmosphere is tasteful and intentional, miles away from the chain eateries we’re all growing accustomed to.
I don’t have a bad word to say. I hope to return very soon.

I recently dined at this fantastic Indian restaurant in Taunton and was thoroughly impressed. Authentic Indian cuisine, crafted by a talented chef, had a perfect balance of spices. I especially loved the homemade pickles, which were full of flavors, with the pineapple pickle being an absolute standout.
The concept of serving Thali fascinated me and portion size is great. We enjoyed lamb curry for the main course and Maachi Amritsari for starters, would highly recommended it. The dessert menu was heavenly, and my partner thoroughly relished the Gulab Jamun served with ice cream.

This is out of the ordinary.beautifully cooked food. Each main dish comes with three sides - this is a great way to do it. Each dish very distinct with amazing flavours and just the right amount of spicing. Did I say the mixed starters were superb? We had a wonderful time last Wednesday night. We came over to Taunton from Hayes and... What can I say! The service was exceptionally swift and the waiters were incredibly kind and compassionate. Not to mention food I will never forget for 10 lifetimes! What a wonderful restaurant. The picks of the night for me were the awesome aloo bonda's and the "special" onion bhajis as well as the gobsmackingly tasty Lamb thali, which was perfectly spiced and authentically aromatic! What a gem of a restaurant and as the last review said "6 stars of I could!" It's safe to say, Guddi and Gikki is setting a new benchmark for traditional, home cooked, aromatic Indian cooking!

Very nice people run the restaurant making you feel welcome. The place has a nice homely country village feel to it, well decorated. The food is excellent as well. Mixed started spring rolls/dumplings were crisp and not oily at all. Main was pork Larb, Id tried this at home myself. There was only chicken or beef on the menu but as everything is made from scratch using pork wasnt a problem for them. Generous portion with plenty of mint, coriander and chili.

We had a lovely meal here. The food was excellent, but the best thing was the team working here. They are really sweet and they explain all the dishes and we were really well looked after by the waiting staff. You can tell that the boss is kind and thoughtful. He was training a new junior team member and allowing her to take responsibility and then quietly guiding her through the process. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Will definitely go back.

A wonderful team of staff gave a brilliant description of the menu items and were extremely friendly and patient. The place is absolutely immaculate! Attended the Vegan All you can eat buffet on the last Sunday in August. Selection of food was varied and very tasty. I can't remember all the names but I have learnt about some dishes I'd order after trying them.

6 of us went for the Vegan Sunday buffet. There was lots of choice and everything was well cooked and really tasty. We particularly enjoyed the Dosa station where a chef cooked fresh Dosa to order. It was our second visit and we will definitely go again.

Quite honestly the best pan-Asian (and more) restaurant there is. I've never had a bad plate there.
The food is either cooked for you or turned over quickly to keep it fresh, there's crazy amounts of choice.
£21 isn't cheap but then you're easily getting a 3 course meal, if not 6 course!

Been to the restaurant many times in the daytime over the years, Unfortunately went on Friday, the 24th of October for a family meal consistent of 14 of us, The restaurant was very busy and the boss lady was very rude and stressed. We had to prove our daughter‘s age considering it was her birthday 11 years old. They didn’t inform us over the phone that we had to bring ID so she could get her free meal, they suggested we should’ve brought the passport then whilst eating our meal the boss lady came over and was arguing who hadn’t paid the £23 ahead very embarrassing. And very rude at the same time. I will definitely not be going back there again poor.

I was in Taunton for work last week and had the pleasure of coming here for three days. On the first day, Monday night, the woman behind the counter was not very receptive to me and had a bit of an attitude. This was probably a biased view of sorts. However, the highlight of this place is the food. It is very lovely, fresh, delicious and varied and it is a very clean place indeed. I would highly recommend their food. I went back two more days. Customer service may vary according to who you are, I believe.

Summary: Visited on bank holiday weekend with family. Great food, good service and decent value for money.
Location: On the high street of Taunton, this wasn’t just another British-Indian restaurant. Easy access and plenty of parking on street outside.
Ambiance: The restaurant is not too big but ambiance is nice and cosy. It can get too crowded too quickly and therefore noisy too. Not an issue though.
Facilities: It has a bar, decent sized tables and comfortable chairs. Toilets to use but not in the perfect condition and not very clean. Wouldn’t rate it lower for just this.
Service: On our visit despite bank holiday the restaurant wasn’t overly busy but near to full. We sat down and ordered drinks and shortly later starters and mains. The food arrived quickly but overall staff isn’t the best trained for hospitality. It’s just average service. It’s hard to get staff’s attention and therefore it can take a while to get your needs met whilst eating/reordering.
Practicality: For a niche cuisine restaurant this place is very well placed location wise. Easy parking outside. Opening hours are reasonable. Their online presence is good which allowed us to find them and book a table over a phone call at short notice.
Value for money: The items were fairly priced. Quality of food was pretty good not at all British-cised. Authentic Nepali-Indian cuisine. Portion sizes were also better than average Indian restaurants.
Pros: Food. Menu variety. Value.

Booked this on a whim,so glad I did one it was banquet night(Thursday)and two this restaurant serves absolutely fantastic Currys. As a party of 3 we each had a different curry and were not disappointed,full of flavour with plenty of rice.All served in hot bowls on to hot plates. The naam bread was light and tasty. One of the best Indians in town! The Nepali Soup is absolutely amazing! I recently brought my family here for a meal as they were vising from abroad and they absolutely loved it! The service was spot on, they were very quick and polite, and the food was delicious! Absolutely wonderful! The nicest Indian meal we’ve ever had!
We’ve been on holiday in Devon and Cornwall and stopped off for a final night in Taunton to break up the journey before heading home. We really fancied an Indian for our final night and spent a lot of time researching where to go. There are a few Indian restaurants locally and all sounded good so it was a hard choice but Maliha and Taj was the one which initially grabbed us and the menu and food looked excellent so after a lot of deliberation we booked a table the night before and spent the day looking forward to it.
When we arrived at the restaurant we were warmly welcomed and given a lovely table near the window. We hadn’t realised before we arrived but there was a banquet meal night running (Sunday to Thursday) which was phenomenal value - 3 courses for £19.99 - a starter, a main and rice or naan! We were given complimentary poppadoms and pickle tray and the pickles were something out of this world! Every one was beautiful and extra special to the normal ones you get. I’m not sure what the red one was but it was absolutely beautiful! A great start to the meal.
We’ve ordered starters and mains for share as we couldn’t decide. The Chicken Aloo Chat was amazing, so flavoursome and a great quantity. The other starter we shared was the Flying Purple Pakoras and this was something really different but equally wonderful. It started well with the pickles and just got even better!
For our mains we got the Chicken Moris and the South Indian Green. Now both of these dishes were just phenomenal. We eat a lot of Indian food but these were both really special. Great sized portions and lots of lovely, fresh, delicious chicken. Both of them were excellent but the South Indian Green was very special indeed. Out of this world flavours. So rich, spicy and just delicious. The vegetable rice was also excellent, full of vegetables and flavour and the Peshwari Naan was one of the best, if not the best, we’ve ever had. Everything was presented beautifully and the service was wonderful.
We were so happy we chose to eat here. When you put it all together; the amazing food, the service and the ambience, it genuinely was the best Indian meal we’ve ever had! I just wish it wasn’t 300 miles from our home in Durham!
The service was perfect. We were welcomed and treated so well from start to finish. Everyone we spoke to was top class and we really enjoyed chatting to them all. Lovely people every single one of them.
The price for the banquet night was amazing too. £52 for 2 starters, 2 mains, rice and a naan, 2 big bottles of Cobra and poppadoms and pickles too! Amazing value for top class food and service. Everything about the meal was perfect. Wish we were here another night, as we’d definitely come back tomorrow!

Despite not having been to the restaurant in eight years, the customer recently got a takeout and was pleased with their experience. They had a positive interaction with the owner who provided great service. The food itself was not greasy, very hot, and contained large vegetables that added an extra touch. The dal and chapati were exceptional and highly recommended.

This is the best Indian food within at least 30 miles in any direction. I have been to so many different indian restaurants and take aways from Bristol, to Dorchester, to Minehead and everywhere in between and yet Blue Mango are still the best by far. Their food is always sensational in taste, freshest ingredients and meats, never disappoints and always leaves us craving more. Every weekend, our treats are a Blue Mango and although you can no longer eat in the restaurant, the food is still superb and the staff, boss and chef are wonderful and friendly as always. We choose to collect our food as we enjoy speaking to the lovely boss and chef when in and of course Niki in front of house and even the delivery driver who is always a laugh when he's there. Fantastic food this evening. I have not been to the resturant in ages like 8 years and got take away this evening. Went and collected speaking to the owner who was great. When we got home the food was super hot, not greasy at all and full of flavour. I like the touches of the larger vegetables. I am a massive dal and chapati fan and these where both exeptional. Will defo be going back and would reccomend for your next curry for sure.

Had a meal here with the family and had a very enjoyable time. Me and my partner shared the Kata Chicken Masala and Devils Chicken Tamarind both for £8-90 and both quite delicious. Service was friendly and 'unhurried', the waiter offered all seven of us a drink on the house which I thought was a nice small touch to finish a very pleasant evening.

Quiet on a Friday night but nice décor and friendly and efficient staff. 5 of us and we all enjoyed our food selections. 2 of us had Devil's Tamarind, 1 lamb, 1 chicken. Gorgeous. Not a spicy dish despite the name, but great flavour and not one I had had before. Can't remember the other dishes but all impressed. Pappadoms with bits, main, coconut rice, large beer and tip: £28. Maybe not the cheapest but very enjoyable. I would recommend to a friend!

Fabulous evening spent in the Pink garlic, staff very attentive, food was exemplary, we had the chicken shaslick, Tikka masala, Saag aloo, samosas, rice and naan bread. Cocktails Pina colada and Mojito.

At nearly closing time in a town where there aren't oodles of vegan-friendly options, Pink Garlic came though with plenty of dishes to choose from and very helpful friendly staff. They were also kind enough to throw in a free beverage and a vegetable bhaji. The food was on the oily and average side of things with only one of the Aloo dishes standing out as especially tasty and the aubergine and okra trending towards the undercooked and underwhelming side of the spectrum.

Very disappointed with the young lady we spoke with on the phone to order a collection. Stated we would like to pay by cash and we were told they only accept cash payments from ‘really regular customers’, would also not accept cash for a delivery due to ‘not being able to take our word for it’
Upon asking this question the server became very rude and stated ‘it was the system’ they use.
Appalled by the way we were spoken to. Had specifically asked to swap chicken wings to chicken pieces, server said this would not be a problem and then on receiving food, the order was incorrect.

Having eaten in and takeaways from this restaurant for about 20 years or more, a surreal delivery experience occurred where the telephone order taker simply couldn't understand about delivery times however many times I told them and in fact later they phoned back to apologise about the late delivery at the exact time we had agreed. Surreal.
I repeated my order twice and it was wrong when it arrived. The manager said it's the worker's word against mine and so I can take a running jump. It was extraordinary. I only asked for the correct food to be sent! Avoid. I think it's changed hands.

Don’t consider ordering from China China, Station Road, Taunton! Ordered a takeaway for dinner. Husband went to collect it. He came home and I found my order was not what I had asked for on the phone. Specifically asked the receptionist if my dish would come with the peppers, pineapple and onions and she said yes. Phoned up to query this and I was told the manager was out doing deliveries but she would call me back. Manager phoned me and was just getting defensive and aggressive on the phone, raising her voice and saying that I caused the confusion and suggested multiple times that I was lying about previously having the dish I was expecting. She then stated she wasn’t going to argue with me about it and “if you want to order from us again then do, if you don’t, don’t” then she hung up the phone on me! I just spent over £25 on dinner there tonight and I didn’t even get what I had ordered on the phone. I really don’t recommend this Chinese- the manager is rude and does not deserve your custom. She does not know how to treat customers, and is clearly just money orientated.

Tried to get a takeaway, were greeted with the most unwelcoming place that looked closed. We had to ring them while stood outside! They didn't have any menus (apart from 1 outside) & wouldn't let us come in the past the door way! This was on a busy Sunday eve! We were so put off we didn't buy anything. Fab food! I had the veggie option which you cook on the table in a broth, very interesting! Loved it. Others on my table had a mixed meat menu where they were given rice, crab, pork... Actually basically just every kind of meat. All served on banana leaves. Brilliant food.

My first experience dining in Filipino restaurant. I was so lucky to discover this place in the summer. It was delicious. Pork was crispy and juicy. Full of flavour. Customer service was fantastic. Make sure book a table in advance as it is often fully booked. Wish I could visit it more often.

Just about average. There was only one waiter serving the entire restaurant, which I can understand on a slow weekday evening but this was a Saturday night at 7.30pm. In truth we just felt ignored all evening; as only the absolute bare minimum was done in terms of service -being seated, drinks order taken, food order taken (after a while), food served, then having to ask for the bill after a very long of being ignored. Six of us booked a table last night. Hadn't been to that particular Indian restaurant before despite regularly eating Indian food locally. Quite simply the food was fantastic! I had the Chilli Kerala which was delicious, perfectly balanced flavours and just the right amount of spice for me...I do like my curry to be quite hot. The naan bread was cooked to perfection.
The service was prompt and efficient. So glad to have discovered the place, thank you and we'll be back.

Its one of the worst resturants in Taunton and absolute incoordination among staff in the restaurant. I Request customers not to fall into the trap of getting 20% off.They are unsure about the difference between a veg meal and a non veg meal.I don't think its an Indian restaurant ,any common man or a person will know the difference between veg biryani and you don't even find the ingredients when you order from online which is pathetic and unethical.The restaurant manager argues that egg is mixed in all veg biryani universally.I suggest people to be very careful before you order and I repeat pls do not fall in to the web on 20% since you will not find any ingredients on the menu when you order. Sat for ages before order taken, then half an hour later starters arrived with no cutlery and no drinks. We had to ask then after 15 minutes for these. The starters were nice to eat.
Then the mains arrived with no rice or bread. The mains got cold and we had to send them back for reheating and remind them about the naan and rice.
Naans were some of the best I have tried. The mains were also good.
It seemed that one young man was taking online and phone orders and waiting on tables. The owner was not helping the situation by stressing everybody out and trying to boss his staff around.
The food is good but needs to really think hard about service.

I went to Armida with my wife and two 6 year old boys. It was mainly curry with a couple of pasta dishes. The food was very good and tasteful. You can distinguish one curry dish from the next which at some buffet restaurant's you cannot. Lots on offer considering it is a small restaurant. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I was particularly pleased with how they interacted with my children and asked them if they wanted some chips, nan or chicken nuggets brought out rather than asking my wife or myself. We were all happy with the food and the choices and we all left with full tummies. I would highly recommend!

We on the later part of the night yet staff accommodated us well and welcoming. Allowed to eat our food there even though they were on the verge of closing for the night. My family recently bought takeaway for this chinese shop, the portions of the curries were very small compared to the Zian Palace that we usually order from, ( unfortunately now closed) I ordered the spanish omelette, which should have consisted of egg, potatoes and onion, however what I received was nothing like I expected! It had ham, tomato, mushrooms, peas and some onion, I was hungry so I ate most of it but left the ham pieces. We will not be ordering from this takeaway again. Absolutely dreadful, I'm sorry to say. A lovely lady greeted us; however, was not the one who served us, she shouted through for another young lady. The customer service was horrendous, there were no manners and our food came out and nothing was said, it was just very hostile and unpleasant. Then when we got home and opened all the food ready to eat, it was a complete disappointment. We went for this as we are visiting the area and on the reviews it had the highest - I don't know how! The food was bland and tasted very much like it was just oil in a boil. The noodles were tasteless and the sweet and sour sauce was just like red oil. The Duck chow mein was bland and again tasted as though the oil had been spilt on it before they served it. Our spring rolls tasted dreadful and I can't put my finger in it, but I'm afraid I am very annoyed I spent so much there and can't get my money back because I didn't open it when I was there, as none of us would with a takeaway, so I don't want anyone else making this mistake. I feel physically ill and couldn't eat the food.
It's a shame but I'm afraid myself and my partner felt this way.

First time trying after seeing it's reviews, it lives up to them. The salt & pepper squid was bursting with flavour and spices. Chow mein seems to be the most difficult dish for Chinese takeaways to get right but Chefs Kitchen's is definitely in the top 3. Complimentary prawn crackers too! Definitely recommend

After trying a handful of Chinese takeaways in the area, I can confidently say this one stands out as the best in terms of quality and value.
The food is consistently fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour. You can really tell they use quality ingredients — nothing greasy or overly salty like you sometimes get elsewhere. Every dish I've tried, from the crispy chilli beef to the vegetable chow mein, has been spot on. Portions are generous too, making it great value for the price.
The staff are always friendly and welcoming, whether you're ordering in person or over the phone. They seem to genuinely care about their service, and that goes a long way.

Went here for the first time yesterday, really good food, at a reasonable price and very good sized portions, loved the way they do their ribs, only had to wait 15 minutes for the food to be freshly cooked which was great to hear, it would have been 5 stars if the Kung po chicken had a bit more heat, but I'll ask the next time I go to add more chilly, same with the hot pepper seasoning on the ribs, I've taken a photo of the menu with the upto date price

My husband's fantastic find while I was poorly, what a find! We do like a Chinese takeaway & most we have tried in Taunton are fairly similar on quality & very variable on price & portion size. This place exceeds in every area. Price is good, huge portion sizes but most importantly the food is fantastic. This will be our new 'go-to' Chinese's takeaway, despite being the other side of town to us.

Had my first visit to Chopsticks two day ago & thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The Pork Belly Ramen was excellent, as were the sides/starters I had, including a delicious Seaweed Salad.
The service was fantastic & food was delivered quickly & the portion size was excellent.
All in all, it was great value for money & this won't be my last visit.

A nice little cozy place!. The food was really amazing, it had lots of flavour and really good filling portions for its price!.
I had Japanese curry breaded shrimp with rice, the shrimps and sauces were really tasty, little snacks, to have while you wait for your main, will be there again to try more food out.
