Kildare Village is a premier luxury shopping destination in Ireland, located just outside Dublin and Belfast. With over 80 well-known brands like Armani, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, and DKNY, as well as emerging designers such as Karen Millen and Umit Kutluk, the village offers fashion, footwear, accessories, and home fashions at discounted prices. The village's picturesque setting contrasts with the surrounding landscape of County Kildare's prosperous farming country.
There are plenty of parking spaces and it's right off the highway. Most of the good brands have stores in the town, offering attractive discounts and reasonable retail prices, making it worth a visit. There are also enough restaurants and coffee shops where people can rest and have something to eat.
Vincent D — Google review
Visited there in the morning on Saturday and left around 12pm, when car park was almost full. So it’s better to be there in the weekdays. Not too many brands compared with other similar outlets in the US but still worth visiting. Staff are very nice.

Kildare Village - Ireland 🇨🇮🇨🇮 In the heart of Ireland's horse-racing county lies Kildare Village, home to over more 100 boutiques, capturing the charm and scale of the region's stud farms The whole place is so beautiful and a pleasure to walk around. We found some absolutely amazing discounts on our favourite brands🙌😊 It's the perfect spot for finding a real bargain in a lovely setting. We enjoyed food at SABA in Kildare Village. The perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal after a day of shopping. The ambience is lovely, creating a welcoming atmosphere that's ideal for a relaxing meal. The food was absolutely delicious with a delightful selection of Thai and Vietnamese dishes. Each dish is crafted to perfection, offering vibrant and satisfying flavours that make every bit a delightful experience.

What a brilliant day out at Kildare Village! The whole place is so beautiful and a pleasure to walk around. We found some absolutely amazing discounts on our favourite brands. It's the perfect spot for finding a real bargain in a lovely setting.
Sethuraman M — Google review
Kildare Village is a lovely open-air outlet with a calm, well-kept setting and a great mix of designer brands. Some genuine bargains can be found, though prices vary between shops. Parking is free, staff are friendly, and it’s an easy day trip from Dublin. Food options are limited and slightly overpriced, but overall it’s a pleasant, stress-free place to browse and unwind for a few hours.
Dr. F — Google review
The village has many shops but have been to other outlets where the sale is more lucrative. I might be in the wrong season but there were hardly any steals. Other outlet centres around the world offer much cheaper options for the same brand in my honest opinion.
Ashish J — Google review
Nice selection of shops, and seemed much calmer and better laid out than the Bicester one. Could have done with a few more eateries open in the mornings, but we managed fine with the delicious dumplings at Biang Biang
Lewis G — Google review
An open air shopping destination with many luxury and premium brands. The aesthetics around it really appreciable. Brands like Coach, Michael Kors, Nike, etc. offer reduced prices on their products mostly on sale. I went there only for the aesthetics; and window shopping. During Christmas, the lights and decorations creates some magical vibes. So, if you want to visit only for the landscape beauty, Christmas would be the best time.

St. Brigid's Cathedral in Kildare Town holds historical significance as it was where St. Brigid established the first convent in Ireland. The cathedral grounds are open to the public from May to September, offering visitors the opportunity to climb the Round Tower for panoramic views of the town. Climbing the tower involves navigating wooden ladders and is not recommended for those afraid of heights, but it provides a unique experience.
Definitely worth a visit! The round tower can be climbed for a small fee and the views are breathtaking. Afterwards you even get a certificate for it! However, you have to climb several steep ladders and it can get pretty tight, so it’s not for everyone.
Irish E — Google review
Now real parking but its a beautiful church and the grounds were spotless and well looked after. Its not open all year round which is a pity so check before you visit. Inside the church are some wonderful items of interest, some tombs, armaments, old replicate villages and stunning stone work. You can climb the round tower for a better view but you have to pay for the privilege. A super location with much to admire, cheers
Michael G — Google review
Kildare was an unexpected stop on our trip to Ireland. Not only was the town charming and quaint, but the church was beautiful! My wife and I were looking in, when a kind worker offered us a tour. She was so knowledgeable and sweet! Would 100% recommend stopping by if you’re thinking about it.
Sean — Google review
A recent review said the tower is closed but this is not the case as of August 2023. An impressive cathedral and even more impressive round tower. The tower itself is not for the faint hearted or those scared of heights and is quite the endeavour to reach the top. It is worth the effort though for those views.
Alan M — Google review
Beautiful historic cathedral in the centre of Kildare town. Gorgeous stained glass windows. A must see place, to celebrate the great St Brigit.
Orbit A — Google review
A cathedral full of history ! There is a self-guided audio podcast to which you can listen. The cathedral inside is very beautiful. At the back is the Round Tower, which you can climb and get nice views of the town from on high. A few things to note: entry is 5€ (2023), and it's ladders that you climb to get to the top. So, for those with vertigo or ambulatory problems, you might need to give this a miss.
Jordon T — Google review
Such a beautiful and sacred place to visit. The Round Tower is an experience in itself. The views are unmatched and you can feel the history in the bones of the structure. The 100+ ladder steps, divided into five levels, up to the top of the tower added quite a bit of excitement! And the return trip down the steps was even more enthralling. A must-do while in the region.
Jessica A — Google review
The tower and cathedral are only open between 1 May - 31 October from 10-1 and 2-5 on weekdays and 2-5pm on Sundays. However, there’s a side gate on the right that you can use to enter and explore the grounds of the castle. I’d recommend dropping by the tourist center for a brief and insightful history on the cathedral grounds.

The Kildare Town Tourist Office and Heritage Centre is a must-visit in the heart of Kildare. Housed in a charming 19th-century market house, it offers an audio-visual presentation on St. Brigid and takes visitors on a journey through St. Brigid's Cathedral, Church, and the Solas Bhride Centre dedicated to her spiritual legacy. The tour concludes at the ancient St. Brigid's Well on Tully Road for a peaceful retreat.
The VR experience was amazing and so fun! They did such a good job consolidating the story of Brigid and how it ties into the history of Kildare and Ireland. It was one of my favorite experiences on our trip through Ireland.

Cute little tourist info center. Very friendly & helpful staff.
EH — Google review
I went in because I have an archaeological background and was very interested in some general info. I ended up chatting to the two guys working the Heritage Center for a good and long time and just had the absolute best experience. Very friendly, super helpful and knowledgeable. I was looking for a book and was sent to the local bookstore - great to see how small places are working together here. Absolute 5 stars from me, I’d give more if I could. Thanks guys!

Hi, on a family weekend visit to Kildare we had a great experience when we had the VR on the history of Kildare. It was very entertaining and informative for us all from my dad at 87 to my 17 year old niece. We were given lots of information on Kildare and is definitely worth a visit. Caroline

I was very impressed. My wife and I were met by a very enthusiastic gentleman. He gave us a history of the town, tips and nice conversation. I recommend people drop into this gem.
Derek K — Google review

The Legends of Kildare VR experience is a fantastic experience. Extremely good value for money. They even dress up to welcome you into the experience. I enjoyed it immensely as an adult but imagine kids would have just as much fun as I did. It was both informative and entertaining. A good length too. The woman who was my guide was also really helpful and informative.

The Irish National Stud & Gardens is a must-visit destination for horse enthusiasts and nature lovers. The stud farm offers extensive walks to see the horses in paddocks and stables, while the St Fiachras Garden features a fairy trail for spotting fairies around the lakeside walk. Families can explore the famous Japanese gardens with bridges and pathways, providing an enjoyable experience for kids. Racing enthusiasts can also visit nearby world-famous racecourses like Curragh Racecourse and Punchestown Racecourse.
What a great experience for those interested in thoroughbred racing and those who may not be. The Japanese Gardens are peaceful and have a nice commentary in the guide and the rest of the grounds are well looked after. The horses are well looked after. The racing experience is good fun to end the visit.

Good location. Plenty of parking. Lots of shade. But very very expensive! We paid over €50 for one adult and two kids. The Japanese gardens are wonderful, but actually very small. We were expecting something bigger considering the high price. The various gardens are lovely to walk around. The grounds are immaculate. Very friendly and very helpful staff.
Fergal G — Google review
Great afternoon spent at stud. Beautiful gardens and tour was packed full of information. We saw some legends during tour and mums and foals. In the interactive experience is fun. Tasty food in restaurant too
Caroline B — Google review
Absolutely loved this place. I travelled with two 7yr old boys who loved it from start to finish. They loved the race experience, the waterfall in St Fiachras garden, the foals, the fairy garden was a big hit. They spent a long time in the Japanese Gardens, exploring all the nooks and crannies and walking the stepping stones. There was none of the usual "I'm tired" or "I'm hungry". It was all go.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Peaceful Hidden Gem in Kildare! The Japanese Gardens at the Irish National Stud are absolutely breathtaking — a perfect blend of nature, artistry, and serenity. From the moment you step through the entrance, you’re transported into a beautifully designed landscape full of winding paths, stone bridges, water features, and symbolic planting. The journey through the gardens is designed to represent the “Life of Man,” and it’s both peaceful and thought-provoking. Everything is so well-maintained, and there’s always something new to notice, whether it’s the koi fish, the vibrant flowers, or the gentle sounds of water flowing. It’s a lovely spot for a reflective solo stroll, a romantic walk, or a family outing. Don’t miss pairing your visit with the National Stud nearby — it makes for a perfect day out. Highly recommend if you’re in the area or even planning a short trip from Dublin. A true hidden gem that captures the spirit of Japanese garden design right here in Ireland!
Loredana M — Google review
I throughly enjoyed my few hrs here. The food was nice, no queing and plenty of parking. Priced not too expensive, per person, but for a small family it could be alot, and we didnt do a tour. The Japanese garden was a delight, the sole reason for my visit. Though don't be expecting peace n quiet. Pristine and exceptional maintenance of the gardens. I'll be visiting again.
Kathy G — Google review
Fabulous Place to Visit. Beautiful Grounds to walk around, Amazing Trees, Plants & Shrubs, lovely to see and pet the horses. Visit the Fairy Trail, see the ducks and walk around St. Fiachra's Garden, so peaceful. Loved the Irish Racehorse Experience, very interesting and good fun. Lovely Gift Shop & Restaurant.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Decent value for your money. Room size was okay (for me alone). Bed was nice and comfy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And the restaurant and pub are amazing. Great food, lovely staff, quick service and reasonably priced food. Been here for a short week and really enjoyed my stay. Currently in the hotel across the street, but will be coming back here for food at least a few more times this week! So far I had the sirloin steak twice, bacon cheeseburger twice or three times. Today I went for boneless chicken wings in hot sauce and beef chili nachos. All the food was amazing! Highly recommended!!!

Stayed here this weekend for a family reunion. First time here and can't wait to come bk again. Rooms were beautiful and spotless.Food was amazing and so was the service. All the staff and bar staff were so friendly welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend the Silken Thomas to everyone .

Stayed here in August 2025 Highly recommend the rooms here, we were greated by a lovely lady who showed us to our room. We had booked a triple room and were so lucky to be given room 4 which was more like a suite. The room was spotless and the hotel was very peaceful and quiet over night. We had breakfast in the restaurant the next morning which was delicious 😋
Alison D — Google review
Was here on Friday night with the family and the fish and chips was awful. They really need to do a lot better if they are charging €18 for its fish and chips. My wife had the lasagna which was ok but all in the all we didn’t find the food to be that good. Service was brilliant all though I wouldn’t order the Guinness from the restaurant, in the pub it’s really good.

Wow wow wow!! My first time here while visiting a friend. The food was amazing. The desserts were 👌🏻 the staff were so lovely. I think our server was called Alina/Alima (sorry if I've gotten this wrong) she was so friendly and recommended the specials for us as we couldn't decide. We will definitely visit again when we are back in Ireland
Louise P — Google review
Food and service was perfect. Had the curry and my girlfriend had one of the salads. She said was lovely and filling. Wasn't waiting long either and place was busy enough. Steak looked good when I see it coming out so might be back to try that.

Incredibly baby friendly. I ate here with my 11 month old baby and staff could not be nicer. Baby bowl came instantly and the high chair was brought to the table for me. Four different members of staff smiled at the baby and came over to her. I am so impressed.

I didn't expect that quality and flavourful food. It is a must visit restaurant, the food is just above expectations they do deserve the Michelin star. That would be the best restaurant I've ever had dinner in, in Ireland. The interiors are fine, but the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are really nice and helpful. Food is served hot. Italian restaurant
L'Officina by Dunne & Crescenzi Kildare is a charming Italian restaurant located in Kildare Chic Outlet Shopping Village. It offers a delightful dining experience where traditional Italian flavors are infused with a modern twist. The restaurant provides an informal dining piazza, allowing guests to enjoy al fresco dining next to the picturesque fountains in the Old Mill Pond.
Arrived here before going on a shopping spree for breakfast and have to say the food was amazing. I couldn't fault it at all.
David F — Google review
We went for shopping in the village for Mother’s Day and I decided to treat her to lunch. The food was nice. We got the Prawns to start and the Steak. The mimosas were not great at all. Tasted like really cheap Prosecco. However the service was absolutely shocking. The staff could not have been less interested, took forever to get any of their attention as they would only work around the front of the restaurant. I called a gentleman over to order some drinks and he was practically half walking away when I was speaking which was incredibly rude. My mom asked for some water and the waitress looked at me for approval, completely disregarding my moms request. I would think they would be a bit more smiley as it was Mother’s Day to create a nice atmosphere. Yeah I would not go back. The staff and atmosphere really influence your experience regardless of the food being good.

Excellent basque cheesecake with berry sauce - Ive been on the hunt for a basque cheesecake forever! Nice atmosphere and decor. Generous portion size. Only complaint: the service although very quick, two waiters who served us I wouldn’t describe as friendly! They slammed down our coffees and food on the table and rushed away. Other than that, I cant complain.

Title: Excellent Experience at this Spacious Italian Restaurant I visited this restaurant at the end of January and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance is impressive with a spacious layout and lovely decor. We only had to wait for 5 or 10 minutes, and the attentive staff efficiently managed the bustling crowd. The olive bread was delightful, served in generous portions. The stuffed pastas were a highlight, featuring delicious fillings complemented by a rich and well-balanced cream sauce. For dessert, we indulged in the tiramisu and apple crumble with ice cream – both were exceptionally tasty. The overall dining experience was top-notch, and it was evident that the hardworking staff contributed to the restaurant's success. We look forward to returning soon to enjoy more of this excellent Italian cuisine. Highly recommended!

Saba is the only proper eatery in Kildare Village, providing a refined dining experience. Be ready to spend at least 20 for your main dish, but the serving sizes will not disappoint. On weekends, the place is bustling with customers, and you may have to wait around 10 minutes due to its popularity. With two levels of seating and a vibrant ambiance created by busy staff, larger groups (5+) are subject to an additional fee of 12.5%.
SABA in Kildare Village is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal after a day of shopping. The ambience is lovely, creating a welcoming atmosphere that's ideal for a relaxing dinner. The food is absolutely delicious, with a delightful selection of Thai and Vietnamese dishes. Each dish is crafted to perfection, offering vibrant and satisfying flavours that make every bit a delightful experience. The staff at SABA are amazing—warm, friendly, and attentive. Their exceptional service truly enhances the dining experience, making you feel well taken care of from start to finish. I highly recommend SABA in Kildare Village for a memorable dining experience. We visited Saba in Kildare Village for lunch on Saturday afternoon. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure everyone was well looked after. We ordered seabass, prawns and a noodle dish and everything was delicious. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. We were seated near the front, and while the spot itself was nice, it got very busy and at times felt more like a train station with people constantly moving in both directions. Also, the trays used by staff were quite worn and taped together, which took away slightly from the overall feel. Great food and service. But a few aspects of the environment could be improved to match caliber of service and food served.
Lena A — Google review
Myself and my daughter were greeted by the ever gracious Willy on arrival, escorted to our table and although the restaurant was extremely busy, it wasn’t long until our waiter (name escapes me) arrived to take our drink order. I like a Marguerita and decided on the spicy mango Marguerita - superb! Our starters followed quickly and out of fear of not being able to finish our main courses we left a few chicken wings . We order a reasonably priced bottle of white wine with our main courses , and again food came in a timely manner . Overall we had a fantastic night and will definitely be back

One of the best Thai restaurants we’ve visited! We were hoping to try some Vietnamese dishes as well, but learned from the staff that making authentic pho broth was quite challenging, so it’s no longer on the menu. Even so, our overall dining experience was delightful—the food was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal

Lily and Jordan were the most helpful people I’ve ever seen, it is really nice to have welcoming people like them and I’ve definetely been there many times just to see them. I felt at home and not to mention that Saba is the best place to eat in the village, I recommend it to everyone. Definitely I’ll be back soon.
Eric F — Google review
Beautiful looking restaurant and food came out really quick but... The food itself was only okay. Duck rolls were a bit boring, trout was "bland" and plain according to my wife. Chicken wings were nice but its hard to make mess of that. Egg fried rice was very nice. Overall it was just a bit average. Toilets were very clean and well maintained.
Kieran K — Google review
An awesome experience. I had the Crispy Duck which was sensational and my wife had the Peanut Noodle dish -also awesome. Highly recommended We returned to try Saba again as we were shopping at Kildare Village. Six of us had an awesome meal again. I recommend booking in advance. There is plenty of safe parking and great accessibility. Wheelchair access is also good. Due to its size and popularity the vibe is great. The service is very professional and quick. All round just an awesome place to enjoy a great meal.

Cudos to the grounds staff who maintain the pitch and the surrounding walking/ exercise track. I regularly avail of the amenity especially during lockdown.

Canal
The Grand Canal has been carefully preserved, ensuring that its towpaths are largely accessible to visitors. However, it's important to note that some areas have barriers in place to prevent tall vehicles from entering. While walkers are free to explore any section of the canal, the Heritage Centre staff recommend a few preferred routes, such as the picturesque 16km journey from Leixlip to Oughterard along Arthur's Way. This route offers a tranquil and scenic walk through the countryside.

The Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre, located just 10 kilometers outside Naas, is a must-visit destination for design enthusiasts and shoppers. This leading silverware manufacturer offers a diverse experience with its homeware and jewelry store, a restaurant, and the captivating Museum of Style Icons. The museum showcases genuine memorabilia from iconic trendsetters like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, and Elizabeth Taylor.
Great place to visit and have lunch. Not too busy for a rainy Saturday, really enjoyed the little museum which is free to visit. Fresh food and lovely cofee/teas in the restaurant. Also plenty of free parking.
Oana D — Google review
Must visit for locals! I have lived near Newbridge for 3 years and always wanted to visit but never did until last month. The shop has something for everyone! Whether you’re looking for some jewellery, cutlery, Christmas ornaments or even preloved items! Price range is great, you can get 1 fork for a few euros or you can get a full cutlery set for 60e or something more bespoke too. The silverware factory tour is great, small and you learn a lot about how many they times they adapted and didn’t give up. I would recommend taking ear plugs with you if you’re sensitive to noise. Visitor centre also hosts Museum of Style Icons. It’s free to visit and they have the “revenge dress”. Finally there’s delicious afternoon tea to enjoy in the lovely cafe. Warmly recommend!

Visited here recently, such a beautiful shop, beautiful jewellery and homeware and much more...Christmas Shop all set up in there, gorgeous, well worth a visit....upstairs then is a museum....amazing ....I was mesmerised....bought a beautiful necklace too....and prices were good, theres also a beautiful cafe too....staff extremely helpful and friendly
Mary D — Google review
Had afternoon tea in the cafe, nice selection of food and staff were so friendly. For the price of €67 I did think the sweet tier lacked a little bit. The museum is a must visit so many unique historic pieces and great that its free! Only issue is the toilets were so dirty so I couldn’t use the bathroom before leaving.
Jade K — Google review
Beautiful shop, lovely jewellery where I purchased a new watch. Amazing restaurant unto it where we had lovely breakfast. Whitewater shopping across the road from it so a great day had.
Patricia K — Google review
Great sale plenty to choose from! Most stock in the shop was heavily reduced. I'd suggest getting there early as it can get quite busy as the day goes on and I'd imagine parking could be a difficulty. We didn't take a trip up to the museum but it's always worth a visit.

I love this place, beautiful silverware, if you need presents for anyone you will definitely find the here and the exposition is so nice. I had a very good time here. Thanks to the owner!

Wonderful place to visit. Embodies culture and timeless pieces. There is a shop selling gifts, jewelry, books and silverware. Also present is a restaurant to have some food on your visit. There is a beautiful free museum with fashion pieces from style icons. A lovely place to visit and learn plenty.

Kildare Farm Foods, Open Farm & Shop is a delightful destination for families and animal lovers. The farm offers a relaxed atmosphere with lovely food and amazing animals to interact with. Visitors can enjoy the stunning statues outside and explore unusual vintage and antique items. The farm provides a fulfilling day of activities from morning until afternoon, including coffee at the shop, free access to the farm, train rides, and delicious meals at the restaurant.
Only found out about this farm a few months ago and we finally got to go. What a lovely place it is, very well priced and buying the animal feed adds to the experience and helps the farm out. The range of animals is fantastic just a brilliant spot for all members of the family, especially the little ones. The cafe is top notch, coffee is fantastic and the food is great. Not to mention the food you can buy is great value and as a vegetarian the options are there. We can't wait to come back and enjoy it all over again!
Dean G — Google review
I randomly came across this place via TikTok and was eager to see what it has to offer. Went on a Sunny Saturday afternoon and it was delightful. Perfect venue for kids and family to adore the animals , from the camel and ostriches to goats and pigs. The fact that entry to the farm itself is free is just incredible value in this day and age. The cafe was bustling with varieties of food but unfortunately didn’t have the time to try them. Picked up some great quality items from the farm shop, which was a major highlight for me👌
Prajwal G — Google review
A great place to bring toddlers and children. Very well run with an organic shop and restaurant onsite. They have crazy golf, an arcade area, VR rollercoaster, along with the farm animals. They also have a teddy bear making area. All the areas are very cheap and the entry into the farm is free but you do need to book free tickets on their website. The restaurant does an amazing full Irish fry my god so good. Definitely worth a visit especially around Halloween time or Christmas time.
Alanna B — Google review
Free entry, lovely walk through the farm. Food was lovely from cafe and was reasonable priced. Alot of people shopping in the store also which is great to see the farm getting it's local support. The train was was great for the kids and the mini golf all ages had fun. Little games room was nice for kids. Best farm I have been to.

Kildare Farm and Foods is such a lovely spot for a family day out! 🐷🐰 From the moment you arrive, it feels friendly and welcoming. The free entry to see the animals is a huge bonus – the kids loved meeting the pigs, goats, rabbits, and even the ostriches. Everything is clean, well-kept, and clearly run with a lot of care for the animals. The indoor play area is great for rainy days, and the outdoor spaces give children loads of room to explore safely. The café is a gem – tasty, fresh food at reasonable prices, with plenty of kid-friendly options. I also loved the farm shop, which is perfect for picking up local produce and little treats. It’s clear they’ve put real thought into making this an affordable, fun, and educational experience. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Kildare, it’s absolutely worth a trip. 🌾
Anand F — Google review
Highly recommend this place for families. We went there with our two kids they loved it. Free entry. Very clean place. Loads of animals including a camel. There is crazy golf which you pay for and a train that you pay for but both worth it. We will definitely be going back again.
Madpromotions — Google review
Free entrance. Free parking. Beautiful open farm. Many animals to be seen. Ducks, ostrich, pigs, cows, camel, sheep etc etc. you can feed them also. There is a mini train ride for kids.Good place for kids. Farm shop is great good price for vegetables meat egg and milk. Decent restaurant also.
Vimukthi D — Google review
A nice day out for kids. They get a train ride, feed some animals and eat some nice food in the cafe. Prices are pretty reasonable and cheaper than most places. They have a good selection of gluten free and my son loves the gf fried chili chicken strips. We tried some steaks and I wasn’t as impressed with the quality of the steaks but the fact that you can buy in bulk here is pretty great. If I have to throw a party you don’t need catering. Just buy a few tubs of coleslaw, hamburger patties or even macaroons and you are all set.

For those interested in discovering more about St. Brigid, they should pay a visit to Solas Bhride, an establishment that honors the influence of St. Brigid of Kildare. This center provides opportunities for pilgrimages, hermitages, prayer and meditation areas, as well as educational workshops. Additionally, Solas Bhride organizes celebrations for various Celtic feast days such as Feile Bride, also known as the Festival of Brigid.
St Brigid Day at the Solas Bhríde Centre was a truly spiritual pilgrimage I’d recommend to any who are spiritually inclined. The welcoming atmosphere at the centre and the tributes offered at the well; the reverence shown by the visitors to the area creates an energy that’s hard to describe. It must be felt. The gift shop provided many reasonably priced tokens and treasured trinkets to bring a little of St Brigid back to your home with you. The beautiful and tranquil setting brings peace to the heart and mind. The spirit of Brigid awaits those who long to connect with her.

It was under some renovation, but the hosts were great. The atmosphere was otherwise lovely and you were left to your own self so you could commune with the sacred. The well was not far from this spot. I look forward to hearing more about this place.

There is something special about this place! It's explains the legacy of St. Bridgit, but after my first visit, I felt like I was protected as I bought St. Bridgit cross and pin and do wear it every day, and things have changed. Don't pass this place, pop in and learn, believe me, it's worth it if you are a believer.

An absolutely beautiful experience. This is a place of tranquility, spirituality and peace, lovingly dedicated to Saint Brigid. We spent much time enjoying the gardens, walking the labyrinth and sitting in the presence of the flame. Geraldine was an excellent host. We left feeling refreshed and fulfilled and look forward to returning. We would very much recommend a visit to this wonderful place.
David L — Google review
Three Friends visited here today on a planned Day Trip, We were greeted by a lovely Lady who gave us her time and a very informative of her Understanding of St. Brigid. This left us more informed after seeing the different Reed cross’s from different parts of Ireland. There is a very deep Kildare and Irish History to learn in this visitor centre. If you visit, enjoy.

I was so lucky to get to visit Solas Bhride Centre while in Ireland. Sister Phil was welcoming and we shared a wonderful Brighid ceremony in the small chapel and walked around the grounds. A beautiful sojourn on a gorgeous autumn afternoon, and the Centre's mission is equally beautiful: honoring someone who cared for everyone.
Stephanie L — Google review
It was amazing. Sister Mary gave us a tour of the Centre, sat with us and played a beautiful chant, while we sent blessings to our loved ones. Watching St. Brighids flame. We also walked the stone Labrynth on the property. The energy was so beautiful and loving. A must stop for those who honor Brighid, whether as a Saint or a Goddess.

The Steam Museum & Lodge Park Walled Garden is a charming destination that offers a delightful blend of history and natural beauty. The museum, housed in a Victorian Gothic building, showcases six massive nineteenth-century stationary engines and other steam-powered machines. On Sundays, visitors can witness these authentic machines in action. Knowledgeable volunteer guides provide insights into the mechanics and history behind each exhibit, offering live demonstrations as well.
This was an awesome collection of machines and we recommend going on Sunday when they fire them up. Exceeded our expectations! There is also an amazing garden to stroll through.

A great experience. Recommend attending the Steam Up event where they power up the engines. The engineers to take care of them will share alot of great info about them as well. The smell of a steam engine is amazing!
Wyrm L — Google review
We decided to check out the stream museum with our young children. Driving up to it we did not know what to expect as we drove into a work yard to park up. There was on steam parts lying around which was fascinating. We then walk up to main area which was amazing. Museum was class the kids loved it. We did not get a chance to explore the garden but we did have food in the cafe which was really nice. Food was good but id say a little expensive but again it was nice food and venue was class. We will defo drop back again. This is a must on the bucket list of any train fans

Great for a quick outing. Very educational and my son loved the models. The cafe was an added on treat. Great food and service. Wide variety and delicious. I do think €10 per adult is a bit much but hey, it is good fun!
Sonette W — Google review
The museum boasts authentic machines from the pre-1900s, all powered by live steam from a boiler. The volunteer guides were incredibly knowledgeable, explaining the mechanics and history behind each exhibit and even performing live demonstrations. Some of the collections that caught my eyes were the old but functional mill engines, ship engines, steam-powered laundry machines, and generators.
Daniel — Google review
We went on a Sunday afternoon and were able to see the huge steam engines operating. The guide running the engines was very knowledgeable and helpful. The cafe is a hidden gem. Delicious food in an adorable environment. The garden is also very beautiful.
Gina A — Google review
To be totally honest, we were really disappointed. It was not how it looked online at all. The toilets were horrible. Poo on the walls.... not joking!!! For what we paid, it was a real letdown. Café was okay. Steam Museum was enjoyable to a degree for the kids but didn't get a chance to see anything work because it took so long to start everything up. Perhaps the bookings for it should be set to times that the engines would actually be prepared...... the garden was amazing, beautiful. That was the only thing that impressed us. I'm not going to go back. Im afraid!
Robert B — Google review
Great cafe. Garden is lovely but pricey. 7 euro a head. The museum was another 13.. Did not get to visit it this time as I needed coffee more.

It features a diverse collection of artwork from both Irish and international artists, showcasing a range of styles and mediums. Inspiring creations… congratulations to you all for all your beautiful works.

I recently commissioned a sculpture in memory of two special people in my life from Kildare Gallery. I ‘found’ Ruth & Ken, and was so lucky to be placed in their caring, understanding hands. Ruth got what I was looking for from the start & set about creating something so beautiful for me. The tree sculpture with a robin & a wren, contains the ashes of my two loved ones… this was important to me, so Ruth & the sculptor, Liam, came up with the perfect way to incorporate it. The sculpture was delivered yesterday & I’m so happy with the finished product. Ken came & set it up for me in the in the garden. Really nothing is too much trouble for these two lovely people. I’m 100% happy to recommend this fabulous gallery & if you’re in the area, pop in for an eye-feast. Thank you Ruth & Ken 🙏

Ken from The Kildare Gallery is amazing. You literally couldn't ask for more. Superb service..if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Highly Recommended
