Cala Torta is a serene beach nestled amidst small cliffs and wild nature, offering a laid-back atmosphere for swimming and sunbathing. Located near Cala Mesquida Beach, this spot is beloved by locals for its brilliant white sands and gentle hills. Accessible by foot from the unmade road or via a scenic hike from Cala Mesquida, the beach boasts just one bar and restricted car access to preserve its fragile ecosystem.
Beautiful beach, 1.4 km down the broken road from where you can park your car. Decent shoes are a good idea, sandals were ok. Bring plenty of water. It took us around 15 minutes to get down to the beach and around 16 to get back up, but I sure felt the way up a lot more. Parts of the beach are fairly steep, so it might be a good idea not to bring your younger kids here. But it's definitely worth the trip.

It’s about 15’ from Artà by car. You should leave your car around 1-1,5km from the beach. It is not allowed (and even dangerous) to go further by car. The beach is quiet, calm, there is not a lot of people. I don’t recommend to go there on wheelchair or with little baby stroller.
Anna S — Google review
Very nice and secluded beach. Very few people, but there is a 20-30 minute walk. There is a path also from the next beach.
Mihail T — Google review
Cala Torta is one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve earned the experience. The beach is absolutely stunning, crystal-clear turquoise water, surrounded by rocky cliffs and wild nature. No buildings, no bars, no restaurants, almost untouched beauty. It feels remote, raw, and peaceful. To get there, you’ll need to walk about 1.5 km on a trail that’s not well-marked and a bit uneven, with a gentle uphill on the way back. It’s not super difficult, but definitely something to be aware of, especially in the summer heat. On the plus side, the effort helps keep the crowds away, even during high season. There’s a small food truck/restaurant right before the trail begins, it’s your last chance to grab food or drinks, so stock up if you plan to stay for a while. The walk itself is scenic, with beautiful views of the coastline as you approach the cala. If you’re up for the short adventure, Cala Torta will reward you with one of the most beautiful and peaceful beach experiences in Mallorca. Highly recommend!
Andrea A — Google review
A 20-30 minute walk down a hill to reach the beach. Not too crowded, but not as empty as the reviews make it seem either. I guess it’s gotten popular. There’s no cell phone service. The road you walk on to reach the beach seems to have been asphalted before but it’s just broken down and ruined, which is why no cars are allowed on it. The end of the road, right before the beach is like going through a forest. There was a sign that there are strong currents and that the beach is a dangerous zone with high risk of drowning, and that the beach is not watched. While we were there, there was a lifeguard with an emergency vehicle, so the sign might be old. The lifeguard showed up a bit later though (around 11h maybe), so if you go earlier, keep in might that there might not be anyone to help in the case of an emergency. The water was nice, lots of algae though. I guess it depends on the season. It wasn’t my favorite beach, but it was a nice little adventure to get there. Sneakers are better than flip flops, but both work.
Nina C — Google review
Quite beautifil beach in the midst of a marvellous rock coast landscape. Great for hiking around.
Benedikt S — Google review
Did not meet my expectations based on the many reviews I read. It’s a natural setting, but not extraordinary. Moderate seaweed mixed with sand in the shallows. Long hike to get there, uphill on the way back. Then discovered a thief had broken our car window and made off with some of our belongings, including a computer and iPad, so be careful. (We actually tracked him down in his apartment an hour away in Palma using Apple’s “Find My” function and with the help of his neighbors got most of the stuff back.)
Sam F — Google review
What an incredible beach! You can't reach it by vehicle; instead, you need to walk down a 1.2km path along a very old and rough road. The hike back up the cliff can be challenging, but I found the experience enjoyable. Though small, the beach is stunningly beautiful. Remember to bring an umbrella and plenty of food and drinks, as there are no facilities down there, except for a local selling water and fruit. The water is crystal clear. While there was a jellyfish warning and some tourists cautioned us, I spent my time swimming and fortunately didn’t encounter any. I highly recommend visiting—it’s definitely worth the effort.

Santuari de Sant Salvador, located in the picturesque town of Arta, is a historic fortress and chapel perched atop a hill. The walled enclosure of Almudaina d'Arta expanded with new streets and squares at the foot of Sant Salvador hill. Dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries, this Moorish-looking fortress offers stunning views of the town and verdant countryside.
I went there on another excursion, with TUI tours, a full day - I got to roam the market, walk through the square and up to the church - Marcelle (driver) & Gabriel (guide) were great so thank you both for a very enjoyable day.
Laura H — Google review
Very nice fortified church on the top of a small city. Make sure you park behind the hill so you can take a nice walk, up to the castle. There is no entry fee. You can visit the church ( Transfiguracion del Senyor ) or just admire the view from the towers. The colours of sunset were amazing. If you enter from the back gate you will walk down the stairs which leads you directly to the Santa Maria D`Arta church ( unfortunatly it was closed already when we visited ).
Alice V — Google review
Nice late-medieval castle walls with great views to the town of Arta and a nice café/restaurant if you want to relax. The museum and the church of the town are nearby, so it worths the 3' walk to the top to experience it!
Chris G — Google review
We only visited the courtyard. We liked the church of Santa Maria d'Arta a little more. At the time we were in the process of reconstructing the staircase, otherwise these buildings can be reached by stairs and you don't have to go around on the road. Unfortunately, there are only public toilets in the castle.
Tereza K — Google review
Amazing place to visit, beautiful views and plenty of history. I didn’t go into the buildings but walked around and read the information. A nice little cafe is at the top to relax and recover from the walk.
Justin H — Google review
Stunning church fortified by nine little towers connected through a wall. There's even a small bistro in the yard where you can grab some drinks or eat some cake and hot dishes. It's located on a mountain peak therefore you gotta climb some stairs if you're walking from the direction of the town Arta. Another possibility of accessing this wonderful location is by car. A few meters beneath the church there's a parking lot located.
Maximilian G — Google review
Absolutely scenic and therapeutic views from atop! Approximately 355 steps / 8 minutes stroll up:) the area is kept litter-free and even has a curious cat resident! Worthy steps up, family-friendly kid-friendly. If you need a break from the steps, the rocks on both sides of the steps close to the peak could offer a brief respite.
Laila H — Google review
This is a nice place to do on a morning. Best to combine with a visit to Arya’s week market on Tuesday. The view from the castellos’ walls over the plains is great and worth a little hike. On your way up using the stairway behind the church, you will see lots of cats chilling in the morning.

Nestled about an hour's drive from Alcudia, the Parc Natural de la Península de Llevant is a hiker's paradise that boasts stunning coastal cliffs, lush pine forests, and expansive heathland. This natural haven is teeming with wildlife, including hedgehogs and the elusive Black Vulture.
This was a beautiful hike. If you want an enjoyable 90 min loop this was perfect. We did trail 10, it was rated a 2 difficulty on the map. It was loose rock and dirt. Some spots were steeper than others but doable with running shoes. You start and end back at the parking lot. The trail was very well marked and looks out over the water once you get to top. The view was well worth the walk one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever experienced in my life. You can also detour just before the top to view a church. We stayed in Alcúdia - it was a 50min drive down the coast, wide highway and smooth. Once you get to the Alta it becomes very narrow. We had an SUV that was not ideal but we were able to get through. The rest of the drive is also on narrow roads and lots of bikers but a pretty drive. You will continue to follow the signs to the trail. There is a parking lot at the end. Highly recommend going to this area!! The map in the pictures shows you all the routes they have displayed in the parking lot. It is free.
Meagan A — Google review
Beautiful large nature reserve with different hiking routes. Great for bird watching. Make sure to take enough water and snacks and eventually a hat. The longest route( + 3 hours) leads to a remote beach
Katharina H — Google review
The car park from the beach here is very far, so if it's that you are aiming for, just go to another one. Mistakenly parked here and a journey of 7 hour walk through the day began to reach the sea. Amazing walk though into the wild, so if you are looking for that, it's a great spot to start. You can find the map at the start, but be carefull along the way, you can miss a pathway very easily.
Alex Z — Google review
Great views and challenging walks. Torrent de Mazdoc was especially challenging.
Amandio Q — Google review
There are many routes for hiking . The views are nice and routes well done . However , there not many indications . If you need to sleep on the way, there are “refuges”, which we better to book online

Well marked hiking trails. Car park, info centre, toilets. No charge. Some trails more shaded, but was baking hot on the concrete roads

Perfect place to escape the crowds and enjoy quietness of nature and beautiful walks.

Ses Paisses is an impressive archaeological site located just outside Arta in Mallorca. It is one of the island's best-preserved prehistoric talayotic villages, dating back to around 850 BCE. The ruins cover an area of over 13,000m2 and include a large protected wall with a cyclopean portal and various buildings surrounding a central structure.
Lovely place found when randomly cruising throught Mallorca. Recommend going there to dive a little bjt into the history of Mallorca. Ticket was 2 EUR. Also offers a restroom.
Tom J — Google review
Nice small archeological park near Artà. There are informative shields which explain the place and the talaiotic culture. Much shadow. The entrance costs 4€ (April 2025). Perfect to combine with other sightseeings of Artà: the sanctuary uphill, the old town and the cave.
Tatiana — Google review
Amazing place! Recommend the visit. However, the municipal employee working there (24/9/25 at the end of the day) was not capable of providing any useful information about the site and was quite rude, the only information given at our 4h arrival (with a bad temper) was "we close the gates at 5h, with or without you inside". Pre-historic employee in a pre-historic monument.
Manuel P — Google review
You simply can’t forgo this archeological site while visiting Northeast Mallorca. It was amazing to not only learn about ancient Mallorca history, but see firsthand the remains from cultures and time periods unique to the island. I would recommend visiting with an expert guide so you can truly get the full experience.
Anna M — Google review
I see that six months ago the entrance fee was €2, which seemed reasonable given how small the site is. I went there today, and it’s now €4. Way too expensive for what there is to see — I do not recommend it.

Located just 300m outside of Arta, Ses Païsses is one of the largest, most important and well preserved archaeological site in Mallorca. This talayotic settlements dates back to about 850 years BC (Bronze age, over 3,000 years old) and covers an area of more then 13,000m2. A large protected wall containing its cyclopean portal, in the interior area are various buildings build around a central structure. There is parking available, the entrance fee is currently €2 per person, there are toilet facilities, the ticket kiosk sells drinks and beer and there is picnic are with tables and benches right of the entrance.
Peter S — Google review
A very interesting place of the Talaiotic Culture. It offers good descriptions and is definitely a landmark worth visiting. In my opinion even more so in comparison to other Talaiotic places like Capocorp Vell or els Antigors. If you only plan to visit one of the Talaiotic archaeological sites, go to Ses Païsses.

Mirador de Na Clara offers stunning views of the beautiful beaches in the municipality of Arta, including Cala Torta, Cala Mitjana, and Cala es Matzoc. Additionally, visitors can enjoy breathtaking scenery from the hermitage of Betlem located 9km from Arta. Other nearby attractions worth exploring are Capdepera Castle and Canyamel Tower.
Amazing place for snorkelling and peaceful day at the beach! Honestly, I was so scared to go to the beach after reading reviews on Google maps, saying that it’s complicated, requires climbing so on. BUT it’s super easy to get to the beach. Takes 10 min from parking (people park their cars on the side of the street leading to the beach). The “climbing” part takes 1-2 minutes. It’s maybe 10-15 m long. I took a photo of it. Yes, it’s better wear sandals or smth which seats on the legs securely. Locals go there in flip flops;) Almost didn’t hear German language, mainly Spanish. And up until 13 beach are covered in shade, so you wouldn’t even need an umbrella;) Main disadvantage— lots of boats, they scare fish. Also, quite a lot of jelly fish, they can sting you.
Veronika L — Google review
A beautiful little beach on the Island. Our favorite. A small rocky path leads you to a beach with rocks, super clear water and fishes. Rocks give you shadow and the sunset is magical. Very good vibes. Super natural. Almost too pretty to share..
Cathalijne S — Google review
Great beautiful beach but you need walking shoes to reach. Dangerous to climb down with just flip flops as path very steep. Go in the early morning because around lunchtime/early afternoon this small beach gets VERY crowded!
Robert S — Google review
Beautiful view to the sea. Few half stone/sand beaches nearby. Good for hiking. We spent 1h here walking around then go to the beach. Beware: Beach na clara is usually crowded, so suggest to go early morning.
Vi P — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca and this has by far the clearest water I’ve seen in a long time. As it appears a bit dirty at first the water totally makes up for it. Just an incredible view

So beautiful beach 🏖 definitely worth a visit 💙

Ermita de Betlem is a secluded hilltop monastery and chapel dating back to 1805, located on the Serres de Llevant mountain range. It's a popular destination for local hikers due to its spectacular views of Alcudia Bay. The area offers cycling routes with panoramic bay vistas and rolling terrain. Despite being remote, it exudes peace and tranquility, providing a serene escape from urban life.
Personally the best spiritual place on the island i arrived here during rain and cycled 50km from port alcudia to get here through beutifull national park surrounding the monastery history of the place dates to 18 century and decor of the sanctuary has what i love about these places simple down to earth with the cave and baby Jesus as a main focus you feel closer to something superior in here and you don't have thousands of tourists around you i was here for more than 1 hour completely alone with only goats on the hill disturbed by my presence. Cycle in here dont drive you will apreciate journey and your visit more.
Łukasz — Google review
It is all about the route to the Ermita really. Gorgeous way up (and down), lots of switchbacks (and cyclists). The Ermita itself is pretty, but very small. There is a little van with some refreshments and snacks are there are bathrooms. I would recommend going their for the view and the fun trip.
Maite W — Google review
The Church of Emira de Betlem is a charming place, but sadly quite neglected. Inside, it feels unkempt and not well maintained, which takes away from its natural beauty. The grounds are fairly large, yet fenced off, limiting access. From a distance, you can see a small chapel, but unfortunately, there was no way to enter. There is also a fountain with a statue of Mary, though it is in poor condition and badly in need of care. This place has great potential and could be truly beautiful if it were better preserved and maintained.
Monika M — Google review
Beautiful chapel surrounded by stunning views. Not really much to do, but a good little trip for a cloudy day. Road leading there is very narrow for a good few kilometres, and so are the roads through Arta, but overall a lovely place.
Sam C — Google review
Beautiful scenic view, but not easy to drive. Roads are very narrow and it’s 8km drive one way and the same back
Anastasiia T — Google review
This is a tranquil location, with a unique alterpiece consisting of a nativity scene in what looks like a limestone cave transported from elsewhere. The drive to the monastery is winding and near the summit some amazing views over the island.
John C — Google review
Great as a cycling destination, wonderful road. Take a look inside the beautiful chapel. On the way back stop in Artà in the monastery on the hill, good coffee and food and a nice place to rest.

Cala des Matzoc is a stunning beach located near Arta, about 10 km away, within the Natural Park of the Peninsula del Llevant. Accessible via a hike through diverse terrain, it offers a remote and beautiful setting. The path to the beach can be challenging to find but following the coastline from another nearby beach is recommended.
Incredible place to swim, went here on a boat tour, it had good snorkeling with clear water and beautiful coves. Next time I would hike here to get in more of the beautiful views of all the beaches. I would also highly recommend going to a place like this.
Carlchr — Google review
Park a car on the side of the road and walk down to the sea. Then look at the path on the left which will bring you to those lovely, remote beach 🏖 There is a lot of seaweed, path is not very deminding, but proper footwear is recommended. Keep in mind it's a nude beach.
Pawel J — Google review
An interesting spot, geologically diverse. When I visited, the water was turbid due to the great accumulation of Posidonia debris. But I saw a morey eel, because there were no people swimming around.
Adolfo R — Google review
The beach is amazing and well worth a visit. We parked the car where the road is still ok, before the potholes, and from there it was a 30 minutes walk to Cala Estreta. Then a 40 minutes hike to Matzoc. If you take the car all the way to the end you’ll probably save about 20 minutes from the whole thing. The hike is not easy to find, and Google maps actually led us to a private property in the middle of the woods. Best way is to follow the coastline from the beach. There isn’t much sand to lay on the beach, so people don’t stay long at it. Some jellyfishes on the beach, but not too bad.
Filipe B — Google review
Cove with 60m wide beach in national park. Quite secluded and scenic, but only accessible by foot or boat, no facilities, no drinking water. Not a walk for the elderly and unfit. About 30 minutes walking from Cala Mitjana on a small rocky path that goes up and down hills along the shore. In summer it can be very hot on the path and there is a risk of heat stroke. One needs to protect oneself from the sun and bring an ample supply of water. In summer it is better to stay at Cala Torta and Cala Mitjana.
P P — Google review
Clean and clear water, but beach is covered with seaweed flushed from sea.

Castell de Capdepera, dating back to the 14th century, is a large ancient stone castle offering historical exhibits and breathtaking views. Perched on top of a hill in Capdepera, this castle has had strategic significance over the years and offers an immersive experience through its well-maintained ruins.

Great views, worth visiting if you are nearby. There's a parking before castle or street parking after castle if you are ok to drive narrow uphill. Plan about 30-60 minutes for a visit

Fantastic castle with brilliant views from the top. Admission was very reasonable. There's is a toilet on site but no cafe. There's also information barcodes to scan on interesting parts inside the castle.

This is absolutely one of the most magical and medieval places in Mallorca! The castle and church atop the hill is awesome. A stroll up the streets to the castle can be a bit harsh as the streets can be steep at times, but well worth it. The people here are so welcoming. The Fiesta's are amazing and just a short distance from the wonderful harbour town of Cala Rajada. I absolutely love this place.xxxxx
Roy B — Google review
An interesting place for a walk. It won’t take you much time, as the site isn’t very big, but I think it’s worth it. The regular ticket costs €3, and children under 10 get in for free.
Dawid L — Google review
Nice castle if you’re around. Probably finding a parking spot in the town will take up more time than visiting this castle, though.. don’t let that stop you. The (well preserved) building takes up 30 mins or so, and many of the parking spots are taking by tourists (who probably just come and go). Def. worth the 3 EUR , not worth a 2 hour detour I would say.
Hans H — Google review
Must visit. Nice walk with a view. Liked, apart from the views, the governor’s house>museum.
Katerina — Google review
It is ok to visit the castle, don`t expect much of it. Entrance is 3 Euros, payment only by card. You can also download an audio guide at the entrance. Make sure you have proper shoes and a hat, it can be very hot up there. The view to Menorca is great also to the small town and the church. You can walk around in max. an hour. The walk up there is really nice, you can lose yourself on the little streets.

Very beautiful and clean beach! Although it gets packed during the day it’s still worth it. It was towel to towel on the beach so not much room and freedom. Beautiful white sand and turquoise water. Fyi the beds/shades are for a fee. Also bring your goggles and take a peak in the right side of the beach. If you walk around you’ll see many hotels, restaurants and tourists so it’s very lively. There are also showers near the stairs at the back of the beach

The beach itself is beautiful, but it is very crowded (already in June) and there are not that much umbrellas (2 beds + umbrella = €19.50). One of the restaurants plays German music very hard, which ruins the experience

Located just 3km inland from Canyamel, Torre de Canyamel is a striking 13th-century defensive tower that has been restored to its former glory. This well-preserved structure once served as a refuge for locals hiding from North African Barbary pirates. The tower offers great views of the coast at Canyamel and Arta and houses a few interesting artifacts. Additionally, there is a restaurant/tavern on-site, making it an ideal stop during a bike ride.
Pretty friendly place. The tower is well preserved and has been restored. You can watch an interesting video about the history of the place. An interesting point if you are passing through. You can visit it in half an hour.

Restauracja "Bawimy się w panów, ale nie do końca" 😄 The castle and interior look fancy from the first sight. However, the service could be better considering they market themselves as a more class restaurant. My food was good though (suckling pig), a drink was okay. 1. In one of the toilets door doesn't close. In the other one the water splashing does not work. And there are just 2 toilets for women. 2. The waiter brought a wet napkin for my friends but not for me. 3. Margarita which my friend ordered was bad and she didn't feel well after it. 4. My plate was slightly broken on the side 😬 Nice restaurant but don't feel pressure like it's fancy or high-class. Just the average one, but prices are a bit higher than in an average one.

Sa Torre Cega, located just 3km inland from Canyamel, is a restored 13th-century defensive tower that offers a wonderful visit with its delightful art collection and beautiful garden. The guided tour takes visitors through the garden and part of the house, providing insights into the history, plants, trees, and sculptures. The enthusiastic guide shares amusing anecdotes and a sound knowledge of the collection while speaking multiple languages fluently.
A lovely visit to a lovely place. Views are spectacular and the gardens beautiful. The lady guide is professional and welcoming. It would be nice to be able to wander after the guided walk but the group was ushered out after the hour’s tour. Plant labels would also have been appreciated.

Beautiful garden offering a variety of trees, plants and flowers and a nice collection of artworks of different styles and made of different materials. It represents the harmony between the art and nature. The view from the villa on the top of the hill is amazing. You can visit the entrance hall and the dining room of the villa. The guided tour was perfect. Our family enjoyed it a lot.
Andreja V — Google review
We visited in July with 2 children aged 14 and 8. We would absolutely recommend the tour to others. Esmeralda was a brilliant guide who clearly loves the villa, but honestly who wouldn't. it's beautiful. The gardens are so well cared for, the statures are all really different and have their own story, the views are stunning. Inside the house you only see a few rooms. The hall, dinning room and library. The hall is quite incredible covered in tiny mosaics showing the seasons. A few things I wanted to know before booking but couldn't find out that might help others... - You must book online in advance. - The tours are at 9:30am and last around an hour. - I was told by many that the tours is only in German. This is not true. Esmeralda spoke perfect English and then translated everything into German and even a little French too. - It is not possible to walk around the grounds alone after the tour as it is still a private home. overall we ll really enjoyed the tour.

This is a truly unique house and garden and well worth a visit. The house interior decoration is an amazing blend of mosaics and murals and carpets that blend and blur the boundaries between floors and walls. Something really unique. The gardens are well kept with a diverse mix of classical and contemporary statues and art installations which make it very interesting. Tours are guided, but there is enough freedom to take nice photos and wander a bit ! The tour is about an hour, there are no toilets so go first ! Would highly recommend

Platges de Canyamel is a serene and scenic beach located south of Cala Ratjada. It is known for its crystalline waters, making it perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling. The 100-meter-long beach offers plenty of space and features amenities such as a restaurant, chairs, and a lifeguard. Visitors can enjoy the lovely clean beach with several beach bars/restaurants and rent bed/brollies if needed.
One of the cleanest beaches we found in North East Majorca !!! No sea grass, no clumps of plastic! Sand was very nice, water very clear and theres lots of rocky areas about 5-10 metres from the shore (even in the centre) which makes it excellent snorkelling, especially for young children. Well serviced with beach bars and restaurants It's mainly on street parking (tip- take the road to Canyamel centre, NOT the coves de arta as there's minimal parking that way!)
Blandy120881 — Google review
Beautiful beach, but the showers are turned off “to save water”. So saving water means we have to shower at home with the exact same amount of water but clean the floor with additional water which we wouldn’t do at the beach shower. And the apartment is dirty as nothing else. Showers are a must and please turn them on, if we pay 2,10€ tourist tax and don’t just lie to us.
Die S — Google review
Wonderful beach It's beautiful at any time of the day, but still a bit busy during the day
Tetiana N — Google review
We visited in May 2023 and found this to be our kind of place, the Germans have kept this one to themselves, very few Brits and generally adults only. Lovely clean beach with several beach bars/restaurants and bed/brollies to rent if required, also a surfers beach if that’s your thing. Lots of high quality 5 star hotels, just a cluster of tourist shops and small supermarkets but everything you need (and not at rip off prices). Great for hiking and cycling with routes on display, bikes available (including electric) to hire and a plethora of hidden coves, caves and cafes to explore. Within walking distance are the stunning Arta Caves, and there is a reliable bus at least every hour (simply tap in and out with credit card) that runs between Cala Rajada and Porto Christo including Capdepera all of which are worth a visit. This is NOT a clubbing/hen/stag/banana boat destination, this is definitely reserved for a more relaxing holiday or a base for activities.
Joanne H — Google review
The best beach on the island. The purest water I've seen here. The only "minus" is that there is no shower, so you'll be salty till the end of the day. There are a huge number of fish of different species. Perfect place for snorkeling!
Tetiana P — Google review
Small but charming beach. Couple of restaurants by. Small parking near bus stop.
Michał S — Google review
Good atmosphere, mostly with sand but there are also rocks on one end, there is some pine shades, but it was too windy, with lots of waves, impossible to swim. Also both beach showers don't work (BIG disappointment), there is public toilet on the beach and 2 very good little restaurants. If you like to jump into waves or surf it is ideal beach for you. You can park in any street nearby for free.
Bojana B — Google review
Long beach with a lot of space. Sand was warmer than other places we've been and the sand is very deep so it's easy to use a parasol. It was very wavey when we were there so maybe this beach gets more wind than others because of it's large size. Recommended if you've just been to visit the caves nearby and just need to kill an hour or 3.

Had a membership over the summer. Overall the place is great. Facilities are nice and clean. It’s not really a country club though. The restaurant and pool area is more of a day care center for kids. Some people do remote work from the restaurant and let their kids run around. The shaded sun beds are occupied or blocked by towels. The gym is decent but really tiny and the AC does not work. It’s fine for lifting weights but way to hot to do any cardio. They have an EV-charger which is great, unfortunately it is always blocked off by petrol cars. Maybe paint the spot green? The olympic swimming pool and the padel courts look great.

The Via Verda Manacor-Artà is a delightful cycling route that stretches 29 kilometers along an old railway line, connecting the charming towns of Manacor and Artà. This greenway offers a serene escape from traffic, making it perfect for biking, running, or leisurely walks with family while soaking in the stunning landscapes. Many visitors have enjoyed their rides here, often stopping to savor local snacks like Variat sandwiches after their adventures.
I’ve always wanted to cycle along one of these pathways made from an abandoned railroad. This was our first time on one and I was not disappointed. The path is a bit rough in places for bikes, but we did nearly 40 kilometres on electric bikes from Manacor to Cala Millor and back without incident. There is part of the path that is fairly smooth along one side or the other so you just move over when someone else is there. Beautiful scenery in early march. Be prepared, I saw one guy get a flat tire, and was glad I didn’t. The crushed rock rail bed is mostly exposed. There are a few nice places to stop along the way at the old stations and towns. We liked s’Estacio Cafeteria Restaurant.

The bicycle rental service, Via Verda Manacor-Artà, offers an enjoyable outdoor experience away from the main roads. However, it is perplexing that the cycling path is filled with stones. Nevertheless, it provides a great opportunity for a gravel ride with minimal exertion. The route boasts stunning vistas and convenient spots to take breaks along the way. In addition to cycling, this beautiful MTB trail can also be explored on foot.
Absolutely wonderful path through the central countryside of Mallorca. Easy, flat and straightforward. It does not have the spectacular vistas of most of the coastal hikes but it gives you an idea of the arable land and quaint towns in the heart of the island. Perfect if you are training and need to cover many kilometres all at once, whether by foot or on a bicycle. (Consider this path during cooler weather months.) Side Note: before you go, map out where the ruins of the 5th century basilica de Son Peretó is (accesible off the beaten path) and consider visiting. It was the highlight of our walk - an archeological gem between Manacor and San Lorenzo de Cardezar.

Nice it's outside of roads (at least the first half part, we went to Porto Cristo not to Artà). However, I do not get why it is so stony since it's cycling path

What a wonderful customer experience it was renting our electric bikes in Cala Millor! Thanks for this smooth and tailor-made bike rental. By the way: the via verda is really worthwhile 👌. Thanks a lot @rental bikes mallorca for the smooth service

Love it, great for a gravel ride without too much effort. Good views and nice places to stop off.

(Translated by Google) Old route of about 29 km of the train line that went from Manacor to Artà, converted into a greenway, it is a highly recommended place to do sports, both for walking, running and cycling, the the only drawback is that leaving Manacor and for about 5 km the pavement was in a terrible state, otherwise, it is a fantastic route to enjoy the landscape without the nuisance of fumes or noise from the cars.

(Translated by Google) This is not a cycle path, as advertised, but a rocky stretch of road. Covered in places with so much grit that there is a latent risk of falling. Most of the time on this gravel track you try to stay on an approximately 40cm wide path that many others have already traveled on and is therefore the most usable. Still probably a better and safer alternative to using country roads. A renovation of the slope would be very desirable.
