Transportation
Tramways
Cristo Redentor de Serra Negra offers a challenging climb with approximately 8 meters of uneven stairs, making it unsuitable for those with health issues. However, the breathtaking panoramic view of the town below from the top makes it worth the effort for most visitors. The location also provides wheelchair access from the car park to Christ and features a delightful chocolate shop nearby. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful and amazing experience while taking in the spectacular views at this iconic site.
Reaching the top is not for someone who is out of shape, it could even be a health risk for those with heart health issues. There is about 8meters of stairs to climb and the stairs are not so well made as some of them are low steps and some are hi steps, this can be a problem going back down too. When you reach the top, however, you will be rewarded with a beautiful picturesque view of the town in the valley below. In my opinion it's worth the effort if your health will allow it. I really really enjoyed it and it is a memory I will savor for years to come.

Fontana Di Trevi in Serra Negra is a charming replica of the famous Italian landmark, offering visitors a taste of Rome's iconic fountain. Spanning 370 square meters and standing at 11.4 meters tall, this homage to Italian culture pays tribute to the strong Italian influence in the municipality due to significant immigration in the 20th century. Adjacent to the fountain is a drinking fountain with medicinal water, making it a pleasant day trip destination.

(Translated by Google) A place in nature may have its small imperfections, such as flies, but this is part of the charm and authenticity of the environment. Even with these details, the place remains very valuable, as it connects us with nature in a special way. It is a unique and genuine experience that is worth enjoying! I have been there other times, and the flies are during the manure period. I recommend it to anyone who likes nature and being in an environment that is pleasant to the eyes and the heart, also perfect for photo shoots!!! (Translated by Google) It is a little far from the city and the last 2 km of the road is dirt, but when I went it was fine. THE WOMAN WHO RECEPTED US WAS NOT AT ALL FRIENDLY, but she explained a lot about the place and the rose bushes. IT IS WORTH A VISIT. I thought there would be/would be more to see than what ended up being shown, but I can say that IT IS A TRIP THAT IS WORTH IT. The different species of roses are lovely, each species more beautiful than the last. The tour took about 35 minutes. There is no snack bar on site (there are only two options for snacks like fandangos), which is something they could explore. There are a few seedlings for sale.

(Translated by Google) During the week, it is a pretty empty place. A trail for walking or biking around a beautiful lake (about 1,900m long). There is an unmarked access to the Santa Lídia waterfall (you can find the entrance on Google Maps). Warning: there are signs in the park warning of the presence of star ticks, whose bite can be fatal if not treated immediately and properly. If you feel any unusual symptoms after visiting an area where star ticks are present, seek emergency care immediately and report the possibility of a tick bite. Otherwise, it is a free park with parking. There is not much shade or trees (they were recently planted) and a restaurant that is well located, but only opens on weekends. Be careful: Wase and Google Maps were indicating the entrance to the park about 2km later. The entrance is where the sign for the Deck360 Restaurant is, before the asphalt ends. Represa Santa Lídia is a delightful spot for leisurely strolls, especially if you're accompanied by your furry friends. The serene and family-friendly atmosphere makes it an inviting destination for those looking to unwind in nature. However, visitors should be aware that the water can have an unpleasant odor, reminiscent of urine, and litter such as cups and cans may detract from its charm at times. The Catholic church, Igreja de São Benedito, is situated prominently in the center of a street and offers an impressive view from above. It is meticulously maintained with clean surroundings and fresh paint. Additionally, intricately designed drawings adorn its walls, adding to its allure. The pews are also beautifully crafted, setting it apart from more traditional churches. In conclusion, this visually stunning and well-presented church is definitely worth visiting.
(Translated by Google) The church is beautiful, right in the middle of a street, so you can see it as soon as you go up! It is well preserved, clean, and the painting is up to date. In addition, there are well-designed drawings on the walls! The pews are also very pretty, different from the traditional churches. In short, a very pretty and presentable church, it is worth checking out. A beautiful church, located in the upper part of the city, at the top of Pinheiros, next to the Santa Rosa de Lima hospital. It is considered the church of the blacks, since the patron saints are Saint Benedict and Saint Efigênia. On the day we went there, it was closed, but it was still worth the climb to see how it is being preserved, in addition to being able to enjoy the beautiful view. (Original) Junto ao hospital. (Translated by Google) One of the most traditional tourist attractions in Serra Negra, the São Benedito church is a landmark since it is located at the top of a hill. So, if you are walking, be prepared for a good climb. I visited it on Sunday around lunchtime and it was closed. So, it is a good idea to find out if you are interested in seeing the inside of the church. The outside is very pretty and well-preserved. But when you get there, you will realize that the only place to visit is the church, as there is nothing very interesting around it. Summary: if you have time, energy and curiosity, I think it is worth going up to the church and taking a general look at the city, but I do not consider it a must-see in Serra Negra. A parte externa é bem bonita e conservada.

Nestled within a charming historic mansion, the Museu Municipal Bernardino de Campos is a delightful destination for those passionate about art and history. This intimate museum showcases an array of artifacts that narrate the rich story of Amparo, including its significant role in the coffee trade and Brazilian independence. Visitors can explore captivating exhibits featuring local art and intriguing historical items, such as vintage cars that spark curiosity. The impressive architecture of the building itself adds to the overall experience, making every corner worth exploring.
A free museum to learn more about regional history and traditions, a great place to enjoy an hour looking at historical pieces and texts, very recommended.

I lived in Amparo over 10 years ago as a American missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We had a very limited amount of time to sightsee as missionaries but I’m so glad I got the opportunity to visit this museum. It is small but completely worth it to anyone living or passing through Amparo. It was free admission and the young man at the front desk offered us a guided tour, what a great opportunity for me as a foreigner to learn and appreciate more about the history of the city I was living! I remember the surgical tools and kidney stone, the rooster ice cream truck and how the guide mentioned that the private school in Amparo is the second oldest private school in the state of SP. Would recommend, I’d like to visit again when I have the chance.

Very friendly staff! The Bio guide explained a bunch on fun facts about the little residents! It was a lovely experience 😊 the hike was great, there were lots of picnic areas and fun little bits like "hug this tree" very entertaining and interesting! If someone is wondering, there were restrooms and you can fill your water bottle at the beginning of the hike. Great job!

A place for all ages, beautiful.

(Translated by Google) A place worth seeing for everyone! The biopark is a 100% private initiative that doesn't receive public funding (though it should!), and its goal is to preserve species and ensure proper management of each of them, which are rescued. During my visit, I was able to see many deer up close. The trail took an hour. I regret not having booked a guided tour with biologist Marcelo. His introduction to the park gave us a wealth of incredibly interesting information; I can only imagine how incredible the tour must be, complete with his explanations. The comments that think the price is high are because they don't understand the crucial purpose of preserving life and biodiversity. A visit to Ibirapuera Park, for example, is more expensive, especially since parking is free at the biopark. I thought it was incredible to have an entirely vegan menu, and I loved the snack I had. I was happy to learn that the biopark will eventually become a zoo, which will allow them to raise more money and better fulfill their purpose. I certainly recommend a visit to everyone.
