Nestled in the Fan Arcade just off Todd Mall, Page 27 Cafe embodies a slice of Melbourne's laneway culture. This popular spot is cherished by locals for its all-day breakfast and vibrant atmosphere. Its sister eatery, Epilogue, located on the other side of Todd Mall, is renowned for its late-night offerings and lively music scene.
We were hooked from our first breakfast there. Lovely staff, great food and a fun environment with lots to look at while you enjoy your coffee. Costs close to the same as the hotel for a cooked breakfast but the food is fresher, presented beautifully, and more options. Couldn’t leave without another coffee and a fresh baked muffin to go.

Best cafe in Alice. Came here 3 times over 2 years during work trips. I loved their soba noodle salad. My partner’s French toast was incredible and our friend had the chicken burger which was also delicious. Very nice atmosphere and delicious fresh juices and coffees. Very busy but there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Not cheap but the food is great quality and fresh so very happy!

You’re transported to a tranquil, plant-filled oasis the moment you step into the alley. A soft breeze drifts through, shade sails offer cool relief, and you literally wouldn’t believe you’ve just stepped off the scorching, sometimes harsh streets of Alice Springs. The staff are friendly, attentive, and chirpy, and their energy adds to the relaxed, welcoming vibe. A beautiful little escape right in the heart of town. We visited twice while in Alice. The first time, Mum was thrilled to find somewhere that served the perfect flat white — just how she likes it, with little to no foam on top. Unfortunately, the foam was foaming on our second visit, but the B&E roll still hit the spot with perfectly cooked eggs and crisp bacon. The French toast was indulgent without being heavy, striking the perfect balance of fresh fruit, sweetness, and texture.
Trudy Y — Google review
While the coffee is solid, it’s the food and the cold pressed juice that absolutely blows me away. The chilli sriracha eggs and the strawberry blonde juice have had me coming back repeatedly and will continue to do so while stationed here. The staff are incredibly friendly and look like they all enjoy what they do. If you’re wanting a quiet little get away from the action, or have some friends you want to catch up with, this would be my first recommendation.
Decklan M — Google review
Lovely gem in the heart of Alice! The location, decor, music and general vibe were incredible! But the food was next level! Certainly not cheap, but extremely well priced for the quality and flavour of the food, wish I could give it more stars 🤩 The books and chess games for the kids was a nice touch!
Jorge A — Google review
Best cafe in outback Australia! (in my opinion🤣) Just had a light snack, ordered juice, iced latte and a big muffin. Coffee is decent, muffin absolutely nailed it. Slightly crispy on the outside and moist inside! Vibe is nice, a cozy place to visit in Alice!
Xun L — Google review
Sooo cosy place to have a coffee! They have plenty of space inside and outside. Had a gluten free brownie and a mocha, both were very good.

Epilogue Lounge & Rooftop Bar is a vibrant and stylish venue located in the heart of Alice Springs, offering late-night dining, live music performances, and a constantly changing tapas-style menu. It's known for its retro decor, relaxed atmosphere, and decent wine list. The establishment transforms from a casual eatery during the day to a lively rooftop bar at night, providing visitors with an ideal spot to enjoy tapas-style meals and cocktails while soaking in the relaxed ambiance.
Visiting from Sydney and had dinner on a Saturday night. The place is buzzing with locals and interstate travellers. It's probably the only place you can dine in Alice Springs, considering 95% of businesses are closed and the area is not exactly tourist friendly. However, the food is fantastic. 3 meals for $40 is great value. My friend and I were full afterwards. We ended up having breakfast there again on our last day. It's definitely worth a visit if stopping by in Alice Springs.
Nina — Google review
Delicious breakfast at Epilogue Lounge! The brekky roll is glorious. Cappuccino is smooth and hot. Quick and pleasant service. They have a delightful outdoor area and good music.
Tim W — Google review
Went there for dinner with my wife and two kids, spent most of our time upstairs on the rooftop. No real good view of the city but the atmosphere was pretty vibrant and cool, even though there were not much people for a Sat night. Food was good, drinks were great. Kids had a lot of fun playing around with the lights and jumping off the stage and onto the dance floor. The music playlist was modern and cheerful. Staff were really nice.
Maxime B — Google review
Excellent vegan mushroom medley on sourdough!!!! Had watermelon juice in a glass bottle, wonderful that this establishment cares about the planet too! Customer service was fantastic and food came out quick! We will definitely return!
Sunshine Z — Google review
Absolutely loved my visit to Epilogue Lounge Bar in Alice Springs! The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, with a great mix of locals and travelers. I had the taco and the kangaroo schnitzel—both were seriously delicious. The taco was fresh and flavorful, and the schnitzel was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of that unique Aussie taste.
Flip M — Google review
“Rolled into Epilogue Lounge & Rooftop Bar in Alice Springs for brekky after spotting it on a Glen and Mado YouTube vid (shoutout to the cool Brazilian legend behind the counter). The breakfast burgers were proper morning fuel – stacked, messy in the best way, and dangerously moreish. Washed it down with a smooth little coffee that kept the engine running. $17 for a small coffee and burger combo? Bargain for vibes this good. If you’re in Alice and need a tasty kickstart, this is the spot.”

I went into this place for lunch 2 days in a row. I had their steak sandwich and would hafta say this could be 1 of the best steak sandwiches I've ever had. Staff were on top of their game

They serve my favourite GF beer from Two Bays! Winner. A great atmosphere. If you're out of town (like us) the bar is at the Southern end of the Todd Mall.

The Locals in Alice Springs is a popular spot that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner options every day, even during the summer. The cafe is known for its extensive selection of gins and generous breakfast choices served in a modern dining area. Visitors can indulge in mouth-watering steak sandwiches, waffles, fresh smoothies, and perfectly brewed coffee. Additionally, there are inventive vegetarian and classic brunch options available at nearby cafes such as Page 27 and House of Tallulah.
Came here for a delicious brekkie and was not disappointed. Staff were lovely, atmosphere was great and the food came out quickly. Definitely will be returning

Visiting with family from America, we came here for breakfast at lunchtime. The sandwiches, the pancakes and drinks were all great. The food plating was 1st class, could have been on a Food Network TV show! Lots of flavors and same with the drinks. I was very impressed!
Michael M — Google review
Absolutely amazing food! Consistent and quick, Local’s has something for everyone! The owners are absolutely amazing and very inviting!! I highly recommend the brekkie roll, the salmon and French toast! All are fantastic!!!
Nicole S — Google review
Has been quite disappointing with my visits in the past 12 months. Its been abit too cold at times and the music is unnecessarily loud. As a couple we spend roughly $70 for breakfast and 1 drink and well over $100 on dinner and definitely not worth it. If there was just as much effort and care put into the cooking as they do on the presentation would make a huge difference. As you will see in the pics over uploaded it all looks great, unfortunately doesn't match up with the quality and price. Non alcoholic drinks over priced for small 250ml glasses everything is served in.
Jodie — Google review
What a lovely place to grab breakfast or lunch. This place has super friendly and helpful staff and a fantastic atmosphere. I opted for the territory brekky and everything on the plate was amazing! One of my favorite parts about it was the roasted tomato salsa, it was full of great flavor and tasted good on everything that I tried it with.
Matt V — Google review
Outstanding food and drink option in Alice Springs. The gin menu is fantastic, and for us, the lobster spaghetti and soft shell crab burger were winners. The sauces are what makes a great restaurant, and our meals’ sauces were excellent. Big recommendation for anyone on holiday.

If you haven’t been to Piccolos yet, you are missing out. The food is delish! They serve very healthy portions, hot and fresh even on delivery, gluten-free and vegan options always available, and the people who work there are so amazing! Best customer service!! I love this place.

Before I start I need to point out that this time wise was about a week ago. 🤔What do I say about this place? Do I start with make sure your hungry when you arrive? Or weekends can be extremely busy, or the Bacon Benny is scrumptious so much so that I had to have it every visit…..plus the coffee is really enjoyable……reader are you getting the idea “when in Alice Springs I must visit this place”….then my work is done!

Located in Alice Springs, The Bakery is a family-owned business that offers a delightful array of artisan breads, French pastries, donuts, and pies. This charming bakery is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy locally roasted coffee paired with freshly baked goods. Whether you're in need of a breakfast pastry and coffee to start your day or looking for some picnic supplies before heading out on a day trip, The Bakery has you covered.
This place is popular for a reason, top 3 best places to eat in Alice Springs by a mile. If you want the widest range for selection, I highly recommend getting in before 10:30 or everything will sell out. The clear winner for me is their Reuben sandwich and Portuguese tarts. This place could stand on it own in Adelaide, which speaks volumes for its impact in the area.
Decklan M — Google review
An absolute jewel in the heart of the outback, I’m in love with this place. Lovely coffee and a huge selection of pastries and breads that are nothing short of divine. A local treasure - and worth a visit for anyone passing through.
Kate R — Google review
I would return to Alice Springs just to eat the fluffiest, freshest and tastiest pastry you can imagine. No short cuts, no excessive sugar, salt or nasties. Just simple, fresh and well made ingredients. We tried almond croissant, almond scroll, blueberry danish pastry, meat pies, spinach and ricotta roll, cheese cake and almomd cake and the original sour dough. Obviously over 2 days. I make sour dough at home, so I know they are making it right. 5/5
Aly T — Google review
Was in Alice for a few weeks, and always looking for good pies when in AU. I found The Bakery, and was glad I did. Very tasty meat pies, with really flavorful ingredients. The fresh bread looked so good there on display behind the counter that I couldn’t resist also picking up a baguette both times I was there. Their coffees were spot on as well. A full 5 stars from me. Definitely recommend this place, and I will keep it on my list for next time I’m in town.

What a surprise! Absolutely perfect little spot, the location the price the fit out the quality of the food 👌 Very very impressed. There's friendly staff barista coffee savory options seating and indoor bathrooms what else could you possibly ask for?? ( Hint: people typically spent a lot of money here because they buy multiple items like I did!)

Queues don't lie! I am a convert for pies thanks to this place. Food is fresh, delicious and high quality. The cakes and croissants are equally top notch and the staff are lovely too. Of the two days we stayed in Alice Springs before and after our Lara pinta hike, we made sure we enjoy the goodies from the Bakery both days.

The Goods Coffee Shop in Alice Springs has become a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The passionate baristas are known for their delicious coffee creations, and the shop also offers a variety of sweet treats, breads with spreads, and jaffles. The baristas have been trained by an Ona barista, and the cozy atmosphere features old green school chairs and tables made from reclaimed materials.
Great coffee, warm service and really nice toasts. Felt a bit like Melbourne which was lovely. Coffee was great & the toast was so good and loved how generous they were with the toppings. We got the spiced chai pears one and the beans jaffle and they were both excellent. Service was friendly but definitely a bit slow with large groups of friends and tourists catching up. Not a complaint though just something to expect / heads up if you’re in a rush!

Unreal coffee, super friendly and welcoming staff and amazing food! Very good prices too. We came back here three times in 2 days whilst in Alice! Plenty of gluten free options as well. All the toasts and Jaffles can be done gluten free. Loved it - thanks!

Stopped in here for some coffee and a quick bite to eat while I was in Alice Springs. This cozy little coffee shop has friendly staff, a large variety of coffee, and a large range of food options to start your day off right with. I opted for the Condi, with is an iced coffee with some condensed milk in it since it was a tad on the warm side outside and a hot coffee just didn’t sound that good to me. It was very good and went down easily. I also got the Sweet ricotta, chai roast pear, pistachio, honey bread (what a mouthful) it was great.

Moved here start of the year and after sussing everywhere in town, this is our local. Best coffee, awesome atmosphere and always had tasty treats. Owner's a bloody legend too 👌.

The Tea Shrine, located at 113 Todd Street near the Greyhound station in Alice Springs, is a charming family-run spot known for its extensive selection of hot and cold teas and delightful light Asian-style vegetarian dishes. The Korean iced tea is particularly recommended. Open from 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Saturday, it's a popular choice for vegetarians and vegans seeking an Asian-inspired meal. Visitors praise the plant-based menu and diverse bubble tea offerings.
Delicious and well priced buddha bowls. Great ice cream and homemade cupcakes. Lovely range of loose leaf tea with smell testers. Will definitely come back!
Gabi L — Google review
Outstanding oolong bubble tea! The staff's attention to detail truly sets this place apart, the young woman thoughtfully prepared my oolong boba tea beverage with honey instead of sugar (my preferred healthy option) and she created the perfect balance of flavors (not too strong of tea and not too watered down). The tea was served at an ideal temperature, neither too hot nor cold. The veggie dumplings are equally great, perfectly complemented with soy sauce and sesame oil. This tea house has become my must-visit destination every time I'm in Alice Springs, NT. They even have an extensive collection of loose leaf teas for purchase in bulk, I'm so grateful! Consistently excellent service and quality, highly recommended!
Sunshine Z — Google review
Absolutely delicious and love the daily specials. Every day provides new dishes to try which is really nice. I've had many different dishes here over a few weeks and all have been fresh, delicious, tasty and expertly-made. Service and staff are also impeccable. Big range of speciality loose-leaf iced and hot teas, both local and imported. Small local vego restaurant done really well!

Such a lovely long exising Alice Springs family business. They have the best bubble tea in the whole of Australia. Believe me, over many years of travelling around Australia we have tried bubble tea in soooo many different places and none have even come close to their bubble tea here. They are brewing many of their own teas and cook the raw sugar sorup, plus using real milk.... it makes such a difference in taste 🥰 Go and try for yourself. And their food is really delicious as well😋 All meals are vegetarian only. Highly recommend this place‼️

I like the vibe in there, staff are friendly. We visited from Adelaide and the only one vegetarian Cafe there in CBD. The staff always happy to explain the foods which make it easier for you to order. The another important things is their toilet are so clean. Let me show you one of the signature dish laksa.

It's a nice little coffee shop that sells food as well in the CBD of Alice. We got breakfast and sat outside under some shady trees. It is a calm place with both inside and outside seating. Dogs welcome outside. There's some local art on the walls and the chairs and tables are simple and worn. Food was good and the service was friendly. Prices are good too.

Great little hidden gem of a cafe in the heart of the cbd. Really well priced and delicious food, I was surprised it wasn’t busier when we were there. Yaye's Cafe is a beloved local spot in Alice Springs, known for its inviting atmosphere and delicious food. Nestled in the Museum of Central Australia, this cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating options, allowing guests to enjoy their meals surrounded by nature. The cafe's friendly staff and South American vibe create a welcoming environment for visitors. With live music adding to the relaxed ambiance, Yaye's Cafe is a perfect place to savor breakfast, lunch, or coffee while soaking up the local charm.
A wonderful little hidden spot from the main city centre. The Cafe was buzzing with both your usual morning coffee lovers and the singing of local birds. Nested away in the Museum of Central Australia, you have the option of sitting indoors or outside among the trees and provided sunshades. We had some of the summer specials, which was absolutely delicious and fresh. And the coffee was good, which was made even better by being served by Max, the cheerful and delightful owner. We had a wonderful conversation with him about the cafe and the local area, which Max was able to provided us with many helpful tips.

Delicious vegetarian cauliflower fried rice for $16. curried with presumably frozen vegetables. portion was a bit small but expected with the price. tasted real good. matched with some purple pitaya(?) paste was a great contrast with the curried cauliflower. didn’t even feel like I was eating cauliflower at all. Green smoothie was cooling and great for the summer weather. $9.9, highly recommended.

Bella Alice is an Italian restaurant in Todd Mall, Alice Springs, known for its delicious wood-fired pizza and fresh pasta. Started by chefs Alberto Pasquetti and Antonio Favale, the pizzeria began in a carport before expanding to a food truck due to high demand. The restaurant offers a charming cafe atmosphere during the day and transforms into a sophisticated dining spot at night. All their pizzas and pastas are made from scratch using the Italian biga method for the dough.
Believe me Bella Alice has best pizzas in Australia. When traveling around, pizza takeaway is so handy for tourists. I did try lots pizzas previously. Pizza here is amazing, the crust is sooooo good. Try the very basic garlic pizza as starter, you will love it. The ones with fancy topping are even better. But I did have garlic pizza for a few dinners and breakfast. The pizza still tastes great after warning up in toaster next morning. The octopus is so tender and filled with flavor. The pasta is good too but not as impressive as pizza. We had takeaway first and went for dine in next day. The staffs are very nice. Kids on the street can be naughty, but the staffs know how to handle it decently.

An amazing hole in the wall pizza spot, the flying Dutch pizza is genuinely incredible. If you can get a spot outside I highly recommend it, the atmosphere is great. Inside is a little dated, and can get pretty noisy. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Advertised as an Italian restaurant specialising in pasta & pizza, we were a bit disappointed to find there was no pasta on the menu—just mainly pizza and appetizers. While I was let down by the meatballs, the pizza was quite good. On a positive note, the restaurant is conveniently located near Todd Mall, making it a safe and convenient choice if you're staying in the area. However, it was quite busy and noisy, and the service was slow, likely due to being understaffed.

I just found out they’re open for breakfast and lunch, and the Bella Benny immediately caught my eye—especially with the unique beef rendang! The beef was shredded, tender, and packed with flavour, while the poached eggs were perfect. Definitely a deliciously unique brunch option!

This one of the well established restaurant in Alice Springs. They have undergone some management changes but still very good Italian food. The pizzas is what they are most renowned for. They are now open for all day breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are very friendly and service is good. Food came out promptly. I tried at different stages breakfast, lunch, dinner and takeaway. Can be a bit pricey but i found the food to be good

This is one of the best places I’ve tried in Australia! The pizza is absolutely amazing and the same as in Italy! I would recommend try it!

They served me a coffee exactly how I love it, super frothy and creamy. The barista was so kind that when she noticed there was lots of foam, she even offered me a little extra milk on the side. The croissant was a classic that never disappoints, really delicious 😌 And sitting on their terrace, with the sun shining and giving us that extra dose of vitamin D, there’s no better place to enjoy it than here… Viviana thanks for your service today 😊 and Antonella she is doing great at base cafe really good management all the best !!

We had the best breakfast in Alice Spring, here at Base Cafe. After a good night rest, we felt fresh and wanna explore what's good to fill our tummy. Service & Ambient [4.5] Friendly staff who is patience to let you decide what's for breakfast. Cafe setting looks cosy and nice, with different type of tables and chairs, indoor or outdoor. Ensure you ask if there is surcharge if paying by card. Food [5]. Firstly, their coffee were great. Had ordered different breakfast and all taste great too. Will recommend anyone wanna fill their tummy with joy for a good start of the morning or perhaps any time of the day.

Lovely staff and nice little quiet cafe with outdoor area but avoid the steak sandwich. All tiny steaks that barely cover half the bread for $21. Other food choices seemed much better portions

Had an awesome brunch at Base Cafe! The service was super friendly and warm — shoutout to Antonella, who welcomed us with a big smile, took care of our order, brought everything to the table, and even had a really nice chat with us about life in Alice Springs. Such a lovely person! The brunch was delicious — especially the brownie with ice cream, 100% recommended! And the coffee, made by Hanna, was easily one of the best I’ve had in Alice Springs. Top 10 for sure! Great spot to chill, have a good conver, and enjoy the outdoor terrace. Totally recommend it ! good vibes and great people! Thanks Antonella and team for your hosting!

Over priced and portions small for the price charged but service is accommodating and patient. A small brownie and some sweet treats were almost $8 a pop! Pleasantly got surprised when I tried to sanitise and clean with wet wipes the high chair and the area where we'd be eating to find that it was relatively clean and free of dust. Winning. Steak sandwich was tasty. Milkshake was delightful. Wasn't too impressed on how small the portion of egg was for my bub whilst one could buy 2/3 of a dozen with $3 I spend on eggs

Very good atmosphere and food is amazing though limited options only. Tried their dukkah eggs, potato salad, chicken pesto sandwich, banoffee smoothee and peach ice tea. All were delicious.
