Have eaten here many times. Usually great Italian hospitality but our waiter today was sullen & unhelpful after leaving me waiting a full 5 minutes whilst chatting with her friend. Food is usually ok and was excellent today. Thankfully food prep would not be in her remit.

This little dem is a feast on the eyes and the palate. Besides the extensive range of breakfast and lunches to choose from, the deli has a huge range of meals, cheeses, pickled and dried fruits. The ice coffee and chocolate were delicious, filled by home made deserts. The range of fried and dehydrated goods too numerous to mention. The super friendly and curtious staff of this family owned and operated buisness sell local products with warm and gracious charm.

We had the prosciutto ciabatta, the chicken/leek filo pastry, and the pineapple/coconut tart - they were all AMAZING. Service was perfect. Great little hidden gem in Moreeba.

Wow! What a well presented Country Pub, from came cutters as handles at the front doors to the magnificently decorated interior, such a wonderful place to have a drink and meal. Friendly staff and great steaks.

Had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was welcoming, the meals were great value, and everything came out quickly and fresh. We were passing through Mareeba and only staying 1 night and this place was recommended to us from a local. We had a pork ribs and a lamb shank and both dishes were excellent! Both slow cooked to fall off the bone softness, and the sides were good too. The meals are quite big so we couldn’t fit in dessert, and the service was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Amazing dishes. A restaurant at the very northern end of Byrnes St, that i have always overlooked until a few days ago when I tried them for the first time. I've been back twice since then. Friendly service and awesome curries with so much flavour.

I very much enjoy my dinner at baba curry Mareeba! The food was delicious hot and fresh, the prawns were plentiful and juicy. The service was warm and friendly. So much flavour and I liked I could choose how spicy I wanted it 🌶️ I had prawns with the onion curry sauce with garlic naan. I will eat here again, I highly recommend for authentic Indian cuisine, with a relaxed and friendly environment. Yum! Thanks ☺️

We simply loved the food. Each of our dishes were different and so delicious. The meat was tender enough to cut through with the spoon. And what's even better is we had sufficient to bring some home to enjoy further delights tomorrow. All the staff were friendly and gracious when serving us. As a traveller passing through Mareeba and trying all the restuarants over the last week, this has got to be the most flavoursome food in this town. 100% would return, and just wish I found this place earlier. Service was great too, very friendly and accommodating.

Had a great night at Secret recipe! The food was great and they have plenty of good vegetarian options. Very flavoursome and fair prices. The staff was super friendly, although a bit slow, I think they were also busy with take out. Recommended!

What a great night we had with our friends. The food at Secrete Recipe Thai Restaurant would have to be in the top league for Thai food and I have eaten at many Thai restaurants in our Cairns region. The coconut prawns, the pork belly, the sweet and sour chicken, curry puffs, spring rolls, fried rice and duck were just so tasty. Thank you very much. My only point for improvement would be to either take a customers drink orders straight away or let them know straight away to order drinks directly from the bar. We had a great evening.

Great flavours. Dishes were a good size. Staff were friendly and courteous. And the place was clean and welcoming. My only gripe was the lack of adequate air conditioning.... But I do like to be in a cooler room, so it might be good for others. All in all a great night for dinner, and well priced!

Really delicious Pad Thai noodles, red curry and Tom Yum soup with reasonable price! The lady who served us on Saturday night was really friendly and efficient! Highly recommend the Thai food here, and if you like spicy food, you can choose how spicy you want for all dishes.

On Saturday 14th of June we attended the Mareeba McDonald outlet at approx. 4pm. We are 2 couples who are in our 70s and retired business owners. On entering we were barged into by some teenage boys who were running thru the outlet. The cafe looked dirty with full/overflowing bins and rubbish on tables and the floor. We went up to the counter to place our order. No one approached or even gave any eye contact. Meanwhile a soft drink had been spilt near the entrance and the customer had told one of the staff. After 10 minutes of waiting and being invisible to the staff I reiterated to the staff member that there was ice on the floor and someone needs to clean it up before a senior customer has a bad accident. 5 minutes later a young boy came out with a yellow sign and placed it in the liquid .... but no mop! By this time it was obvious that no one was going to serve at the counter so we used the self-service. Another senior gentle man had been waiting for 15 minutes and we told him to use the self-serve ... he said he couldn't see properly so we helped him with the self-serve machine. Is this how McDonalds treats seniors?? Customer service none existent ... surly staff overworked and an understaffed outlet. Where is the McD QA on checking franchises? On reading the Google feedback on this store it needs to be closed down. Poor quality food, wrong orders, purse snatching, rude surly staff,. A group of teens who regularly wreck the toilets, Excrement smeared on the walls of the toilets; no paper or soap in the toilets. How can someone pay anywhere from $1.4 to $2 million for a franchise and run it like this?? On the way out we noticed near the children's playground 4 bottles of glue and spilt glue on the table. Obviously, the teenagers (check video of one dressed in black with a black cap who barged into me.) were glue sniffing.... McDonalds has reached a new low.... see photos. I reported this (glue) to the girl who finally was mopping up the spilt drink some 20 minutes after it happened. See didn't seem surprised and mumbled something about the manager not being there. We then left absolutely shocked by the experience and how low McDonalds standards have become. As I stated we have all run businesses but the standard of hygiene; customer service and safety of customers at this outlet is atrocious. I HAVE SENT THIS TO MACDONALDS HEAD OFFICE AND AWAIT THEIR RESPONSE.

Service,,, ZERO,, I must be invisible ? I was the only one waiting to be served when a couple of other people arrived,, served and left,, and the two that were serving just went about their business like I wasn’t there, they appeared busy with the drive through but still ignored me. After 10 minutes waiting I just left,, that’s never happened to me before at Maccas.

Honestly was just bad service and bad food picked up a meal for my children and with most of my meal missing from my order and the chicken missing from my daughters chicken wrap I am not happy aswell with the terrible rude service from the young girl at the drive through not saying a word back to us and being extremely rude. I tried to call to complain but no one would answer the phones not happy I will not be returning to this dirty awfully serviced establishment they need to be better it’s terrible and the food is awful

Do you dislike tomato? Well I don’t. And if you do you’re in luck! 3 times in a row now where our Angus burgers came without tomato with no special requests. I understand you have a business to run and it’s busy on drive through, (maybe because you shut the doors after 8:30)… but you can at least remember the basic training you went through and know the ingredients to your own burgers. Really slow. I only ordered 2 coffees and stood their for 15 minutes waiting while orders that came in after me were filled. Then the coffee wasn't hot oly warm.

The entre of spring rolls and prawn toast were delicious, but the main of lemon chicken was like dough balls and the Mongolian beef lacked flavour. We were very hungry so we ate all.

Purchased 3 fav dishes that I’ve had and know so many times, was just shy of $50 work of take away. The containers were either small or 3/4 filled all dishes were very bland and poor in quality and flavour. Threw the vast majority of all 3 dish’s in the bin

Ordered duck noodles which was delicious, although it took probably 45 mins to come out. Strangely, they charge a 3% surcharge when paying with card (Visa). I would be interested to know how they arrived at 3%, given that most restaurants charge around 1-1.5%.

Absolutely atrocious service from the young waitress for our large table. Rude and inattentive. The food quality and quantity has definitely depreciated in the last few months. Would have been willing give it yet another chance but not after the service we received.

Zero Stars, The food tasted like it was chemically cooked and the special fried rice was extremely bland and dry and tasted like crushed ants. Never returning. Shame that I paid with cash, I could have requested a card reversal.

The food is great. I'm from Europe and came to Queensland for a nice holiday. I had a look around Mareeba and found this great kebab place. I ordered a "Döner Kebab" and it was just great from the first to the last bite. Super 10/10, gladly again!!! #MAREEBAKEBABINTERNATIONAL

The best kebab in town..i taste their delicious homemade baklava several times here and the texture mostly soft inside out(except for the nuts) but today its crispy inside out(not overcooked or burns) and it taste much better. Very satisfied customer.

Near impossible to tell our two pizzas apart as they were mostly just cheese. Barely any toppings and some toppings missing all together. Really disappointing.

If you like cheese eat there. We ordered three pizzas: pepperoni pizza, chicken pizza and seafood pizza. I'm still looking for the pepperoni salami on my pizza... Chicken pizza with extra cheese and very little to no chicken.. 77$ doller for three Pizzas.. I could not believe it.

The garlic bread was so hard and dense it could knock someone out if thrown at them. Cheese cheese and more cheese, bugger all toppings on it. $99 for 3 small pizzas and garlic bread, absolute travesty.

After a Easter weekend camping trip I stopped off in Mareeba for some food on my way through to Cairns. Found Joe’s pizzas was one of the only places open but so glad I stopped there. Joe was a really friendly nice guy and his pizzas were some of the best I’ve ever had. I think I will stop off there every time I’m in Mareeba.

Such great customer service and the pizza is great! Everything in town shuts so early other than Dominos and Joe's. Joe's is the best place to go in Mareeba for a later dinner when you can't be stuffed cooking. 10/10 recommend

I ordered 3x10pcs Wicked Wings and expected to receive 3 boxes of 10 pieces each, as that's the logical way to pack the order. Instead, I was given 1 box with 30 pieces, which was confusing. When I asked about it, the staff told me to specify next time if I want 3 separate boxes – and they said it with a cranky attitude. While the food itself was fine, the customer service left a lot to be desired. Clear communication and a friendlier approach would make the experience much better.

Customer Service is appalling and the food is not that great. The staff are NOT friendly at all - they can be quite rude. They do not have manners or are polite to customers. I regularly purchase a 3 piece box and to get a leg and a wing is just ridiculous, I truly expect 1 small piece and 2 large pieces of chicken. I am an adult not a child, so I expect to be given an appropriate meal for adults as I never ever order kids meals. The staff need to be trained better. Yes I understand that they are all young but customer service is and should be their number 1 priority. The food always seems to be dry and not very appetising at all. The chicken used to be hot, fresh and juicy - but it is never like this and has not been for a very, very long time now. Lift your game please KFC.

Went there the other day just after the staff member was attacked at the counter, I was served and the staff were very apologetic for a 10 min wait and the situation, got fresh chicken, it was pretty busy because it was lunch time but you can see the staff were doing their best. Food was alright but you can’t expect Gordan Ramsey level food from a fast food restaurant. They did really well all considering and I will be returning 💜 I hope the staff were okay, I saw the police came into the store

This place is amazing, the best Pumkin Chiabata bread in Qld. Great quality food, a testament to the owners and staff. Their fresh juices are also the best. Haven't tried the coffee as yet.

WOW the food here spectacular & well earns it 4.9 stars. Eggs cooked to perfection, best bacon I've had in a while. The pumpkin ciabata bread was a first for me and amazing. A bit tricky to find, as not signposted well. Entry is through the fruit & vege shop.

If I could give no stars I would. Ordered by phone (burgers and pizza) and arrived 5mins prior to estimated time that order would be ready. Burgers were ready to go, paid and was handed burger order and staff didn’t realise pizza was missing (no problem there) so was advised that pizza would be a few minutes away. After 10mins, we checked in again on pizza and was met with terribly rude service and told to wait another 7mins for pizza. Waited again for another 10-15mins and checked in again. We were then told to ‘just wait’ and when advising that it had been over 20mins and burger would be getting cold the staff member raised her hands, shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes without saying anything and walked away. Sat there again and when pizza came out it was handed over the counter with no words or apologies. I made sure to say ‘thank you’ because everybody has bad days and she just say ‘yeah’. Terrible experience and then to come home to cold burgers which were quickly zapped in the microwave just to take a bite and the chicken tasted like terrible old cooking oil that hadn’t been cleaned in months. We ended up throwing the burgers in the bin and getting dinner elsewhere.

We had the best service for an anniversary dinner! They provided balloons and champagne 🍾 so kind. And the burgers are just divine! This will be go to place every weekend. Thankyou

The dessert options were impressive. A nice change from the standard few you see at most places. The Banana Nutella Calzone was huge and very tasty!

The absolute worst. 50 minute wait for a single awful pizza, despite paying extra for priority. Useless employees. Go to Joe’s Pizza or Jum Rum, or if during the day, the Deli. These businesses deliver better quality pizzas, quicker and cheaper, and you can feel better supporting a small local business instead of an inadequate franchise.

The customer service was terrible and there was no communication with customer about wait times. I had ordered pizzas for 6:30 and didn't get them until 7

Horrible service Honestly the worst pizza I have ever had. Ordered extra cheese and loaded pepperoni , the cheep pepperoni had more pepperoni :( Had 7 pizzas all had next to no toppings Was not the 1st time I had ordered from here the 1st time was just as horrible as the second. Will never order from here ever again! Needs new owners and workers maybe someone who knows how to make a half decent pizza. Don’t waste your money here. Gave one star would give zero if that was an option.

Review 1: 1 hour later... pizza still hasn't even begun being made. Review 2: The owners are rude, arrogant and lazy. Don't bother putting an order in if it's even close to 30 minutes before closing time because they will wait and then call at the last minute, give every excuse under the sun about it being too close to closing then refund your order. Any other store I have used in a city it doesn't matter they will still deliver. Don't let people submit an order if you won't honor it and then take your time refunding it.

Pizza was good. I asked for extra topping. Pineapple did not get the extra that I thought I’d get no pineapple and I was charged $15 extra for extra topping but did not deliver. Maybe they were offended by the request. Usually I would pay 30 for a family five for garlic bread. I was charged $50 this time and did not get the extras. They just got a free 15 bucks of me. So the pizza is 30 garlic bread is five. I was charged 50 and there was no extra topping. What a joke.

After a busy day we were looking for something to take home for dinner. The pizza we had was so good, so much better than the Commercial offerings. Delicious it was thank you! Top marks from us.

We are convinced from our experience last night that the bases are frozen. My veg pizza had no flavour at all really, except for that nasty frozen taste.

This was an online order. Used this service before and it was good. I ordered two subways and a wrap. None of the items had sauce, wrap without bacon, buffalo chicken with the extra bacon and no sauce again. Food was bland. I called to talk to someone, no answer and left my phone number requesting a callback. No calls either. This won't happen again.

Just went in to get a sub. Never have I seen a sub at more than $20 nearly ALL of there's are with one 23.95, could get a pub special for that. My favourite pizza melt i pay anywhere between 11.25 to once only 14.10, these guys want 17.95. While I was looking at menu heard one male server asking what a man wanted even though he had been told twice, eventually guy being served told him 'listen to me, I've already told you twice your not listening'. I just left apparently they have no competition and charge accordingly.

Foods not bad. Poorly put together. The staff members that served me today were lazy. Once I entered the building, I had to wait for a few minutes (no other customers besides myself) (3 staff members on) one came out and asked another to serve. She went back to her co-worker and continued talking to one another. The one that served me (male) continually asked me what I wanted. Had to repeat myself several times. He seemed unfriendly, annoyed even though I had to repeat myself more than twice. No manners of thank you or see you next time. Overall just disappointed with the service.

Terrible customer service. Guy was not listening when the order was being made. Had to repeat myself 3x. While the other 2x girls were laughing out the back, it seemed like they were high school, unprofessional, and terrible management. The salads didn't look fresh, so I had the bare minimum on my sub. Also, after talking to a friend about this. She said that her sub was spat in 🤮

I was quite disappointed with the customer service and quality of food. There is no professional behaviour sense at all from the 2 workers. The young guy serving was hard to understand and had to keep repeating your self to him, he wasnt listening to the instructions. The girl was just as bad, I let them know that there was a puddle of water on the ground infront of the checkout and the girl said "oh well that was from him mopping, it will be fine". And then started bagging out another company to all the customers in the shop. I asked for 3 foot long Italian herb and cheese, 2 chicken terriakyi and a subway melt, the girl replied with "wow thats all over the place what do you want?" Im not sure what is so complex about that. I also asked for 6 cookies and received 5 and half cookies with furry fluff stuck in the cookies. I didnt get tomatoe as the tomatoes were wilted and did not look fresh at all. This is poor customer service, health and saftey and poor duty of care. I will not be returning to this shop when I travel up north again.

I usually LOVE this team and the incredible people that work here! Just now I have received the absolute worst customer service I've received anywhere in the entire world. The young girl serving me yelled at us to order quickly and asked 'are you going to order any food or just sit there!?' As we were waiting for family. The absolute worst service ever, but usually I love it here. And what Subway and the team Neil has is usually an asset to Mareeba.

My daughters went for half meatballs which they didn't have chicken was offered, $ 8.30 expensive. Then when she came home released she had been short changed. Won't be going back any time soon.

I’ve had fish and chips in many places in Aus but this restaurant is hands down the best. You really need to try the Barra and chips, you won’t be disappointed. It was so good we went back the next night and ordered the kiev with garlic sauce. Fabulous.

Best food we’ve had in 2 weeks of travelling. The staff are friendly and the food is great - BLTs, Bacon & Egg rolls, Egg Sandwich, Chocolate Milkshake and Chocolate Thickshakes plus Hot Chips. Can’t go wrong.

Food was good, parmi was the stand out. Much better then the pubs offering. Staff were friendly and prices were good.

Really disappointed. We were told that the Barra and chips were great from here. We were so disappointed. Everything was over cooked. All the chips were chrispy and crunchy. We had 3 small thin fillets of fish which were also chrisy and over cooked. Totally disappointed. If you go there I hope you get better than what we got. Jim

Absolutely fantastic. Brian is a friendly bloke willing to have a chat will fixing up your order. You have to try the different honey's he sells. Tea Tree Honey was my favourite

Just seems to be a small shop on the side of the road. However it’s a wonderland of local produce, home made sauces, jams and other goodies. Only attempt the Scorpion Ghost chilli sauce if you like it really hot. It gets my seal of approval, 10++ at least.

Got a bottle of the scorpion ghost hot sauce. My goodness one of the hottest and best tasting hot sauce I've had. Next time I'm up getting chukneys and honey can't wait!

Great little store with delicious jams and sauces made in store. Cooked food options available. We had the Croc and Chips. Croc was a little tough but that's expected.

Good selection of local produce and very helpful staff. Enjoyed the warm nuts sold loose,great snack!

Friendly, fresh, local produce and tastey food. That is before you even get to the Avo honey and sauces/jams which will make your mouth water. A must visit!!!

Simple but excellent take away. They make croc burgers or kebabs so give it a try. Cat was friendly and cuddly.

Good prices and fast service! The pizza quality was pretty good for a fast food chain... however, I found the shop interior to be a little bit gloomy and dim.

Absolutely horrible pizza! Toppings were dry and stale, little to no cheese, garlic bread was also stale! Never ordering from this shop again!

I was looking forward to trying this place, I was very disappointed. They were sold out of nearly everything, despite having a very small menu. I ended up getting vermicelli chicken noodles due to not many other options. It was bland and there was hardly any chicken in it. Seriously I had to dig for a few tiny bits of chicken! My partner enjoyed his beef soup which is the only reason for 2 stars. It was also a long wait time and quite expensive. If the food was great I wouldn’t mind that, but unfortunately it wasn’t. Such a shame

New drink at pe’ah kitchen coming and the food is very delicious like my own country .. very good service. The worker is very friendly and nice ..

Was not expecting to find such a gem in a rural town! We got the beef soup and chicken noodles and both portions were huuuge !! Absolutely delicious and so comforting. The teh tarik was very good as well!! Wish we had something like this in Townsville, but will definitely be taking advantage of this place while I'm in Mareeba

Excellent food. We had take away nasi lemak with chicken rendang, satay and chicken fried rice. All dishes were authentic and delicious. Will definitely come again.

An absolute gem of find for a rural town! Serves authentic Malaysian cuisine that really hits the spot! The quality of the food (Malaysian category) is the best I have found since Brisbane. Have tried the Char Kuey Teow, Chicken Rice, Nasi Lemak and Chicken Satay. All were amazing dishes. Would highly recommend! They have a Facebook page but perhaps more info could go into Google such as opening hours and contact number? Was a full house during opening day and really good atmosphere. Would definitely go back! The missus is from Canada and this was her first foray into Malaysian food and she gave it a thumbs up! You can choose your spiciness levels too! Wishing you guys the best of luck growing your business!
