That meal you’ve had Oman. Would highly recommend this restaurant to One as it has a huge, varied menu. All the food was delicious as were the juices very reasonably priced and fast friendly service. Display can get a bit busy at times, but they have a lot of stuff working there so service is usually fast, although it did take some time for the food to arrive. Very reasonably priced. The sesame chicken was probably my favourite dish.

We kicked things off with milkshakes: mango and pistachio. The mango was an absolute star, thick and creamy with real mango chunks and a scoop of mango ice cream. The pistachio was the mango’s dodgy cousin from out of town, tasting fake, looking suspicious, and making you miss the mango even more. They brought complimentary dates and a salad. Shockingly, I think I’m starting to like dates: sweet, rich, and actually a nice opener. The salad was just a simple pile of vegetables, but with a squeeze of the lemon they gave us, it turned out actually pretty decent. Then came the mains: seafood noodles (Chinese style) and aloo gobi. And… ketchup. Yes, ketchup. On the side. Why? No idea, but there it was, judging us while we ignored it. The food itself was fantastic, and the portions were huge, so definitely come hungry. The noodles had tiny shrimps and neatly diced octopus, packed with flavour. The aloo gobi came with naan bread that my Mrs enjoyed so much she practically guarded it like a dragon with treasure. At the end, with the check, we got complimentary tea, a nice and calming touch to wrap up the meal. Overall, a surprisingly great dinner with a couple of eyebrow-raising moments. Mango milkshake 10/10. Pistachio disowned. Ketchup still confusing. Would happily return, but only if I can skip the fake nuts and keep the naan.

Zaki Restaurant in Sur offers a decent biryani that stands out for its aroma and balanced spice level. The rice is flavorful and well-cooked, and the portion size is generous for the price. While the presentation is simple, the taste and quality make it a satisfying choice for biryani lovers in the locality. A good spot for a hearty meal with consistent flavor and value.

We were a group of 4. We didn’t wait for a table, but it was a good timing, because after 10 minutes, the restaurant was full. The waiter was super nice and helpful. He offered us a free bread and water. The food was super delicious, the portions were big, and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely recommend.

Average….not too bad,its okay at this area

We ate cauliflower appetizer and mackerel dish which was served with rice, bread and fresh vegetables. It was quite spicy for our European palates, taste was good, big portions. We didn't even finish everything. Good portion/price ratio. The only downfall for me is hygiene of this place. We were the only ones in the restaraunt so service was quite quick.

Great dining experience. Was that good i visited twice. Seems to be a locals favourite. 1st night we went for the indian menu and the butter chicken was delicious. 2nd night we came back for more and this time we tried the chinese menu. The chinese was my favourite of the 2 options we tried. Having spoken with the owner he mention his grandfather founded the business 40 years ago, and i must say the experience shows in the quality of food and service. Highly highly recommended if staying in Sur. Take my word dont go anywhere else.

During our trip to Oman, we had the pleasure of dining at a stunning restaurant perched on a terrace overlooking the bay. The view alone was worth the visit—breathtaking panoramas of the shimmering water, with a warm breeze adding to the magical atmosphere. What made this experience truly exceptional was the food. Upon arrival, we were invited to choose our seafood from a fresh display of the day’s catch. The staff presented raw fish and lobsters, clearly explaining the pricing before preparing our selections. It was a delight to know that what we were about to eat had come straight from the sea. We opted for a freshly grilled fish and a lobster, both cooked to perfection. The flavors were simple yet rich, allowing the freshness of the seafood to shine. Accompanying the main dishes were crisp, refreshing salads and warm, fluffy pita bread—perfect complements to the meal. The restaurant’s décor was minimalist but tasteful, allowing the focus to remain on the spectacular setting and outstanding cuisine. The service was professional and welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. This was, without a doubt, our best culinary experience in Oman. If you're looking for an authentic seafood feast with an unforgettable view, this restaurant is a must-visit.

The food was so good, I completely forgot to take any pictures! This restaurant definitely deserves more than just 3.9 stars. We had lunch with incredibly fresh fish straight from the sea—absolutely delicious. As a starter, we shared a mixed plate with various dips and homemade Turkish bread, which was warm and full of flavor. The entire meal was a delight, and the place is seriously underrated.

Very tasty food! The fish is very delicious. The flavor of the fish is only salt and lemon. Keep the original flavor of the fish. The Shisha hear also very nice! I will visit again no doubt.

Recommended for anyone visiting Sur. Run by a very nice Syrian lady whose team serves up a great mix of Arabic and Western cuisine, with fresh grilled local fish, grilled meats and the usual Arabic mezze. Super refreshing juices. Possibly the best Turkish bread (cooked in a stone oven) I've ever tasted... And that's not to mention the great view from the terrace looking out over the Sur lagoon. At sunset from the terrace a great view of the dhows, part of the town and a backdrop of the Sayq plateau and mountains. Slightly more expensive than lots of the other places in town but definitely worth it and still amazingly cheap for anyone from Europe.

We went here for lunch and had delicious food in a beautiful setting. Outside on a clean and cute terrace, overlooking the boats on the sea. We had mix seafood (squid, calamari,shrimp) and a fish. All suoerfresh and tasty! No overload of spice, just grilled and let the fresh ingredients speak for themselves. We also received some hummus and bread, which was very tasty making the whole thing way too much to handle for two hungry stunnaches :-) Would 100% recommend, hope to be back again!!

Food was ok but they forgot my main course. Thankfully my husband had enough to share but some of the meat in the mixed grill was overcooked. The kunafa pudding was quite dry too. I’m sure it’s better in the daytime as the view is amazing but on a quiet night it wasn’t anything to rave about.

Stunning views at this coastal restaurant - be sure to ask for the fresh fish / lobster! The food did take a while to arrive but the views made up for it - be sure to stay for sunset! Will definitely be coming again.

The location of this restaurant is stunning, with a beautiful beachfront view and turquoise waters that create a relaxing atmosphere. The ambiance definitely set the stage for a lovely dining experience. However, we did face some challenges during our visit. The serving time was quite slow, and we noticed other tables—both locals and visitors—expressing similar concerns. We ordered the mixed seafood grill, and while the fish was delicious and enjoyable, the lobster was overcooked, and the squid and shrimp didn’t seem fresh, coming off a bit dry. Unfortunately, the seafood soup also didn’t meet our expectations. As for drinks, there was some confusion. Initially, we were told there were only fresh juices, but we later discovered sodas were available after asking another waiter. Overall, the stunning location and pleasant ambiance were the highlights of our visit. With some improvements in service and food preparation, this place has the potential to be a great dining spot. For now, I’d rate it 2 out of 5.

Tourist Trap I actually left without eating my long awaited meal. This is what I am happy to call a Tourist trap Avoid it. It’s not up to standard. The fish display is not fresh and the staff are incompetent. The menu that you order from is filthy. A very bad choice for a meal at a very good location in Sur.

I do not recommend this place at all. We were on a family trip and had to wait for an entire hour for our food, but it never came. When we canceled the order, we were shocked by the Egyptian waiter's attitude it was extremely rude, almost as if he wanted to kick us out. Please, if your time matters, don't go there. Sur has so many much better options with outstanding service a million times over.

Situated on the beach, this restaurant has a fabulous view of the bay and the light house. We had a grilled fish and some mezze. The salads were really good, the fish was wasn't too bad. Had better ones in Oman. The best thing about the restaurant is the location. Would make for a lovely evening meal.

Went for breakfast during our eid break. There were not much option and had only one fixed menu. The food and atmosphere were really good. The only bad experience was there was not enough people to serve us even though the restaurant was full. We had to cancel our coffee as they mentioned it is going take more time and we had to leave in a hurry.

The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. The restaurant was very clean. We enjoyed it and I'd say it's worth a visit if you find yourself in Ibra.

Multi cuisine;average pricing; one of the very few good options in Ibra area, buffet available at 3.500omr . Service was okay; staff a bit untrained yet friendly, ambience is average but high compared to the other restaurants in the area.Food present in buffet is a good selection except for the vegetarian options which are very few.The taste was average and most of the food served was cold. Biryani was a bit surprising with no piece of mutton or chicken. The presentation of food definitely needs to improve. Overall a decent experience

Perhaps the only one Middle Eastern style eating place with a decent seating arrangement in Ibra. Having said that, the taste isn't the best around. The ambience is great, and the proximity to the town center is an added advantage. The restaurant perse is upstairs, but they have also got a snacks bat downstairs. The food is good.

I bought a 5.5OMR medium Pizza to find out that the amount of chicken they put it is for cats not human. So freaking cheap of you stealing your customers like that. Seriously Demonize Pizza is so much better 2 pizzas with same price double the amount of chicken and much tastier.

Pizza Sur is as good as any other Pizza Hut chain outlets in Oman. Unlike other outlets it has a very spacious interior and special cubicles for Family and Couples.

Fast service, attentive crew.

The food is okay nothing great, a fast food cafe makes better Pizza than them. The service is very BAD. You have to order first on the counter then sit on any or a table. The servers can not be even bothered to come and take the orders. We walked around the restaurant looking for menus and then went and placed the order at the counter. I'm not sure if that's what we were supposed to do, but there was no signage indicating anything of the sort that for ordering just go to the counter. They proper tissue paper or proper condiments at the table either were not available on the tables. There was no black pepper, no hot sauce or ketchup on our table. I had to get ketchup from the tables around us. Too sub standard to be a Pizza Hut outlet. There are better serviced Pizza Hut out outlets in India / South Africa / Angola.

I had a terrible experience with the KFC branch takeout option that I selected. I ordered two twister sandwiches, when I got them, I asked for two more ketchups. A person inside told me that I could not give more ketchup since I had already given you two units of ketchup, but if you need more, you'll have to pay .140 Baiza. Is it correct?

As we know about the KFC, this is a good place in ruwi, right across the road. Nicely placed and can be accessed easily. Place is clean and maintained nicely with space to accommodate larger crowd. They always have great offers, staff is very responsive and quick. Both dine in and take away are fast. You don’t have to wait longer even during the busier days. Usually busy on weekend evenings. The home delivery service is also there, but it quite time taking. If you are in accessible area, drive down and get your hot fried chicken. Prices are economical to moderate, and in overall an awesome place for chicken lovers.

One of My Worst KFC Experiences – Extremely Disappointing I visited a KFC outlet with a friend around 8:30 PM. The place wasn’t crowded—only 2–3 people were dining, and there were no active orders ahead of us—yet the service was unusually slow and frustrating. We initially wanted to try the Dynamic Burger, but were told it was unavailable. When we asked what items were available, the staff simply pointed to just two sections of the menu, limiting our choices significantly. So, we settled for a Hot Wings Meal and some nuggets. We also wanted to add extra fries, strips, and a cold drink. The person at the counter suggested it would be better to upgrade the meal to include a large drink and fries. We agreed. What followed was a 30–40 minute wait—completely unreasonable, especially given the empty restaurant. When our food was finally served, only one glass of cold drink was provided. I reminded the staff that we were told two glasses would be given, but the person who took the order had disappeared into the kitchen, and the person handing over the tray simply said, “This is it.” To add to the disappointment, the portion of nuggets was smaller than expected, and when we asked for the extra dip and nuggets we ordered, we were told what we received was all we were getting. My friend then requested an extra empty glass to split the drink, which we were given. However, once we did, we realized how much of the drink volume was just ice—some of which had already melted. ( Picture for reference attached) Adding to the discomfort, the air conditioning in the outlet wasn't working properly, making the whole experience even worse. Overall, this was a very poor experience from start to finish. The service was slow and confusing, the staff was uncooperative, and the food and environment didn’t live up to even basic expectations. One star is the most I can give.

Delicious food! Everything I read on the reviews is true. I am glad we came here while staying at Wahiba Sands. Beautiful, relaxing restaurant with AC and comfy places to sit. Food is fresh and service extraordinary. We will miss this place! I recommend Maqluba and Grill mix :) Value for Money is extremely good (big portions) and they offer breakfast as well. Sounds too good to be true to find such a place in the desert, but it’s the truth.

Although there is scope of improvement in food but the service was really good. I think the people at the restaurant were Pakistani and really friendly people. We went to have dinner twice and my wife ordered dal roti which were oily but tasted amazing. I had chicken kadai which was ok and chicken Korma which was ok too. Overall food is 3/5.

Grilled fish was tasty and well cooked, though I wasn’t convinced with the size of their “jumbo” prawn which were way too small 😀 staff was very welcoming and provided very good service.

Was honestly hesitant to begin with but their food was outstanding. The whole grilled chicken was 10/10 (juicy and tasty) and the butter chicken was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The fish was great too. Best of all- their nans. I think we ordered 2 to begin with and ended up eating 6. That’s how delicious they were. Highly recommend if you’re in fhe area. Also service was 10/10. Everything was hot & fresh and came within 15/20 minutes

Pricing is economical for the portions served, multiple items tried and each were tasty, however the desi Chinese needs improvement, very courteous and helpful staff , one more good addition to the food scene in Sur. I stumbled upon this restaurant on my first night in Oman and my first time in the country after a long day of traveling, and the excellent experience was just what I needed to rejuvenate myself. The owner and staff were very hospitable to my friends and I, offering to choose an array of dishes for us to try. Having never tried food from Kashmir, this was definitely the right choice– we were absolutely blown away by the delicious flavors in every dish! The food is very good quality, and affordable too, and the dining experience was greatly improved by the kind conversations and service we received from the restaurant’s staff. I only wish I were staying in Sur for longer so that I could return for more!

The manager or owner proposed to select food for me and it was amazing! Sorry for not knowing my Pakistani dishes but it was a spinach dish, mixed veggies and dahl - one even more delicious than the other one !!!! Highly recommended to eat here (it was also my cheapest meal in two weeks Oman! So price - quality is ***** 5 Stars or more!

Excellent Pakistani restaurant. We ordered three meat dishes in sauce, two chicken and one lamb. All three were very flavorful and paired perfectly with the rice. The service is excellent; the servers are very attentive and asked us about the level of spiciness we preferred. A great place to stop on the way to Sur.

The staff was super friendly and gave us a special menu to taste different dishes of Pakistani cuisine. It was delicious and for a very reasonable price. The spot is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but definitely worth visiting.

I had a disappointing dining experience at this restaurant in Oman. While the appetizers were enjoyable, the main dishes left much to be desired. They appeared to have been prepared in advance and simply reheated, resulting in food that was lukewarm and lacking in flavor. Although the presentation of the dishes was visually appealing, the overall taste did not meet expectations. When I raised my concerns with the waiter, his response was dismissive. He informed me that he could not guarantee fresh food, offering no further resolution or effort to address the issue. Instead, he left us to finish our meal without any further engagement. And at exit he handed me a business card with a contact number for complaints. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others.

Good food at a fair price. Nice to be able to sit outside by the ocean and hear the waves. Staff sometimes a bit clumsy but overall friendly and attentive.

Some things like the seafood soup and tabbouleh were really good, however, rice wasn’t good. Lam meet was undercooked. Could be better, and choice of food is a lot less than shown on the menu.

There is no option for negative stars. Otherwise, i could have given them a negative. The ambiance and staff were pleasant. However, the food was disappointing and overpriced. The chicken kebabs lacked variety in taste, and the roti had an unpleasant odor. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 - Disappointing Decline Over the Years I've been a loyal customer of Razaman Sur for the past four years. In the early days, the food was great value for money with generous portions, and it quickly became a favourite spot for me. However, my recent visit left me disappointed. I was particularly let down by the samosa chaat, which used to be a highlight but has noticeably shrunk in size. We ordered a mix of starters, mains, and drinks. Previously, we’d receive at least four large papadoms, but this time they arrived in broken pieces, giving the impression of less food overall. One drink, a lemongrass and ginger soda, arrived completely flat and missing the soda water and lemongrass. After complaining, they added soda water—but the lemongrass was still missing. On a positive note, my son had the sweet lassi, which was tasty and well-made. The total bill came to 19 OMR, which felt expensive considering the portion sizes and the overall experience. Even more surprising was the slow service, despite the restaurant not being busy at the time. That said, the ambiance is still inviting, and the location is easily accessible. It's a shame the food quality and value have declined, as this used to be a reliable go-to spot for us.

We made a quick stop for a late lunch here. Honestly speaking the food was very good! Very tasty, good portion sizes. The 4 stars is mostly coz we found it rather expensive, 20 omr for one meal when we had spent 20 omr for 2 meals all through our trip in Oman 🤣 Food was undoubtedly good though!

Very modern style and kitchen just behind a window. Nice, clean, quick and tasty. Prices are just amazing and you can have full dinner for two people for less than 15 Omani Rials. Good and quick service. I ordered lamb leg shank. Rice is excellent but unfortunately the meat is very dark suggesting it is long distance forzen (not fresh). Also it is a pricy resturant especially drinks.

Big portions, nice atmosphere, excellent service from the staff. Complimentary poppadoms with two dips were also served which was a nice touch! The lamb from the mains was slightly bland but otherwise the food came popping hot and very fast!

The restaurant doesn’t have fancy advertisement outside but the food was super delicious. The meals took some time to be prepared but it was totally worth the wait. The salad was fresh and yummy, so were the other fish/chicken/beef main dishes. Just don’t order the burger.

One of the few restaurants in a small village Tiwi, near wadi Shab. This is not a fancy place, but food was nice, a bit spicy also, but not much. We paid 5 Omani rials (approximately 13$) for breakfast for 4 person with a fresh juice. The waiting time was a bit long also, but we got our food fresh. They mostly have Indian type of food, which is interesting to try.

Cheap; clean environment and very tasty food. Restaurant is next to al ashkara hotel. Me and my wife had dinner and we paid only RO 5 which is usd 12 for two persons. Highly recommended. It is the best restaurant in ashkara. The service is excellent.

Clean small restaurant/takeaway with very good food. We had beef/lamb sharwama, grilled vegetables, biryani rice and humus. It was very tasty

the food is delicious and the staff is friendly. This could have been easily a great 5 star review if the bill would have reflected the prices on the menu. When we asked the owner on why there was such a price discrepancy, he said that he gave us larger portions, which made no sense as we didn’t ask for it and they looked all the same.

Wow, what an amazing experience! The hospitality at Omani restaurant is top notch! I came in 30 minutes before the restaurant closed. The food was buffet style, and the food was hot and delicious! Especially the lentil soup! I got to sit in a really beautiful room and enjoy the traditional design throughout the restaurant. I had the pleasure of meeting Sammy, who came to ask me how the food was. He is so friendly, and sat down to chat and eat with me. We ended up chatting for a long time, and shared many laughs and stories. It was a dining experience I will never forget! Sammy is such a lovely human, and truly cares about his customers and providing great hospitality and food. The restaurant has a very homey feeling, and Sammy makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable during your dining experience. Adorable, cute and outstanding heritage house bristling with beautiful Omani cultural artefacts!!! Building has charming architecture and is perched upon the mountain face overlooking Wadi Shab with spectacular, sprawling views of the boats ferrying tourists across the lagoon. The home-cooked 3 course Omani meal served was delicious and outstanding and the whole experience was absolutely charming, unique and one of the best cultural experiences Al Shab has to offer the intrepid traveller! 5 omr to feast your eyes on the rich array of handicrafts of talented artisans and for an excellent authentic freshly made Omani cuisine with drinks was excellent value for money. Sami, the owner and gentlemanly host, was genial, hospitable, gracious, well-spoken and utterly charismatic and charming. Visiting Bait al Shab is an experience that will stay in your mind and heart forever... Highly recommended! 10/10

The food was absolutely delicious. It was a buffet for 5 OMR, including lentil soup, vegetable curry, BBQ chicken and fish, rice, and salad. The waiter was extremely friendly and welcoming. The location is a bit tricky to find as there’s no sign, but you can park near a small football field. Adding a sign would definitely help. Overall, highly recommendable!

As others have mentioned, it’s VERY difficult to find, in part because you don’t want to walk into a strangers house, which is what it seems like. We started our beautiful morning with breakfast from the Dhow restaurant at our resort. We were welcomed and seated at our sanitized table and then the server showed us what was there in todays buffet spread. A simple yet hearty sumptuous breakfast consisting of selection of teas, hot beverages, labans, milk, fruit yogurts, cheese platter, fresh cut fruits, salads. Beef Recipes always best here and boiler tea is ultimate 😋. Snacks are available but not warm enough. . Must visit for low budget Good food.
