The Prophet Lebanese Cafe, situated in East Victoria Park, has been a go-to spot for delectable and affordable Lebanese cuisine in Perth since 2001. The restaurant's unassuming ambiance with warm earth tones and turquoise panelling sets the stage for a delightful dining experience. Known for their use of fresh ingredients, The Prophet offers an array of Middle Eastern specialties that are sure to satisfy your cravings without leaving you feeling weighed down.
The evening didn't start off great as the restaurant didn't put in our booking although the waitress remembered the phone call from my son making the booking. However, she was extremely apologetic about the situation and arranged for a table as soon as she could. Restaurant was busy but food came quickly and was very tasty. Generous servings and we enjoyed our dinner. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and come back and try some other dishes. Forgot to take pictures except for the first dish. 😁😁😁

It's quite a good restaurant for Lebanese food in Perth, and that it has been around for many years speaks to it. The grilled meats are OK and quite tender. Sauces are strongly flavoured and can be nice but also a bit too overpowering. Overall, not bad. It's just not amazing compared to what you can get in the middle east.
Adrian M — Google review
We had the Vegetarian Set Menu for two, and the Lentils & Rice for one. For afters we had two Baclava’s. All were delicious. The meal in general was huge. Excellent value for money. The restaurant was understaffed on the Thursday night we were there (Unfortunately their booking system had lost our reservation, even though we had an email confirmation. So the three of us seated on a table for two.)

Had a fantastic night at this restaurant! The staff were terrific so friendly and the food was delicious. There were 5 of us and we had the set menu (meat) and every dish was delicious. Very generous serving size also. The dips were so yummy! We will be back again! Thank you Prophet staff for wonderful service

It’s been a few years since I’d visited this renowned Lebanese Cafe however my good friend trusted me to select a quality eatery so she could experience healthy Lebanese cuisine. We were both blown away with the intense flavors partnered with a delicious presentation. We will definitely be returning and bringing more of our friends as well. We’re a group of avid travelers who appreciate enjoying international cuisines however we clearly have a world class Lebanese cafe right here in Perth.

Came here for takeaway tonight. The restaurant atmosphere was beautiful. But we were a little bit disappointed with the food. It was yummy but nothing stood out, unfortunately the portion size was really small for 2 people. We ordered some bread and were surprised to be given a bag of flatbread you can buy for $2.99 from IGA. Loved that the portion of chips was huge.
Iz K — Google review
Went last Friday , it was very busy. But food wasn't great, it was just normal. Frankly speaking, not much flavour in their food .Even hummus taste average. Chicken was dry, The only thing I enjoyed their is hot chips, which come with some of our meals. Sorry, I'm not being rude, but it was just average food. I would say little Lebanon in main street is way better 😉 if you guys wanna try good Lebanese food. Thanks.
Choki Z — Google review
Another terrific meal at the Prophet! We had a birthday dinner on Saturday with friends, and got the feasts all around. The food is tasty and plentiful, with lots of different dishes to try. As always, the service was wonderful! We are always made to feel so welcome, with wait staff helpful, friendly and thoughtful. Our friends who had never visited before said the food was terrific but the people even more so, just a really comfy and family feel. Thankyou for making every event fun and happy 😁

Decanter, a renowned wine bar in Perth, offers a top-notch assortment of whiskies to keep you warm during the winter season. Accompanied by delectable smoked meats and deep-fried delicacies, their menu also features customizable mac and cheese options with various toppings like cauliflower wings, fried chicken or garlic prawns. Indulge in a comforting serving of sticky date pudding or try their famous brunchtime souffle pancakes for an early morning treat.
It was a quiet Thursday night, and the waiter was ever so lovely. Could not fault any of the meals. We had a lychee martini, wine a d soft drinks with the cheesy garlic bread, pulled pork pasta, pork belly, prosciutto wrapped chicken, steak of the day and shared a creme brulee. Everything was impeccably presented and tasted delicious. Thanks for a lovely night

Excellent Big B brunch, loved the crispy streaky bacon and didn’t like the sausages. Would suggest that baked beans are added. Mug flat white was great and served at right temperature. Last remaining place where there is table service. Was impressed when server asked how my food was. Thoroughly recommended and will be back.
Richard J — Google review
Just had lunch for my wife's birthday and we loved it! I had the spicy chicken burger and the garlic prawns. It was so delicious 🤤. Atmosphere was great and staff were friendly! Definitely recommend!
Nigel L — Google review
We came for breakfast after reading many great reviews. Food, ambience and service surpassed our high expectation. Food: delicious, generous serving, well presented, and of great quality. Ambience: relaxed and cosy. Service: prompt and friendly. The only negative was the coffee; our latte and cappuccino were weak and far too milky. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Order at table and pay later for those seated inside, while it is order and pay at counter for those sitting outside. No credit card surcharge. Five out of five stars.
Douglas C — Google review
Came into the area weekday morning and decided to try their pancake unfortunately it’s below our expectation. We might try something else if we’re in the area next time.
J T — Google review
Lovely decor for my tastes. Service was fast and friendly. Good menu, not trying too hard keeping too the classics and doing them well. Had the rosti and the mac & cheese. Meals were prepared quickly. Will try the pancakes next time, they looked great. Good portion sizes. Tried the cinnamon turmeric latte, was good.
Brenten W — Google review
The venue location, atmosphere and staff were all great. The food however brings the place down. The saddest part was seeing the wings and how little we got, for some reason I expected more for the price. The general flavour was okay in most of the dishes, the jalapeno poppers were definitely the best dish out of them. Would really love to see this place be a 5/5 one day.
Mr. W — Google review
Definitely a 5 star review. I've been here many times at night for drinks and share plates, but didn't realise they did breakfast and brunch. Decided to look at the menu and stay to have breakfast. Our meals came out totally freshly made from scratch and were absolutely delicious. They were huge too. Very uniquely different and beautiful. Staff greated us with a lovely hello or good morning and were so accommodating. Love this place, and I'm sure you will too.

Cafe
Duncan Street Store is a delightful spot that seamlessly blends the charm of a café with the excitement of a pop-up restaurant. By day, it serves up classic café favorites and delicious coffee in an inviting alfresco setting, perfect for those on-the-go or looking to unwind. However, as night falls on Wednesdays, this vibrant venue transforms into a culinary haven featuring soul food inspired by South American, New Orleans, and Caribbean flavors courtesy of Vital Syverin from Soul Provider food truck fame.
Great hidden gem and nice spot to relax, coffee always awesome, lots of treats and always new stuff each visit. Wednesday nights are awesome for dinner with Soul Provider catering too.

Only alfresco seatings, with a cute setting up. They only have some sandwiches, rosters and wraps in the morning, we tried the bacon bagel, very yummy. My husband loves his mushroom wrap too. Great coffee & friendly staffs. Just wish they have a bigger menu :)

Great food, GREAT MUSIC, great vibes and awesome service. We love their consistency too.
Edith G — Google review
A quaint coffee shop nestled quietly in Duncan street. The new owners have really breathed life in the place the coffee and sweets are great but it's their passion for food that really shines through. When was the last time you went somewhere where you were introduced to a new flavour? The breakfast menu has some real stand out items their Beans with Plantain, N'duja and Corn bread are impressive the quality is definitely there. This is completely unexpected from my experience compared with other coffee shops.
David H — Google review
Went there for their Taco Tuesday, which is run by Soul Provider Catering from 5-8pm. Tacos were delicious and full of flavour, with interesting options like oxtail, jerk chicken, and snapper. Can't wait to try them all. BYO (no corkage) allowed.
Mweru — Google review
Good coffee and yummy brunch food! We had the Brunch special - vego version of the crumpets ; and spinach & egg bagel.
Jade S — Google review
Had a chaotic morning and had left the house without breakfast or coffee. After dropping off one child at school, decided to stop in and grab a coffee before taking second child to school. She has coeliac disease and is used to limited options at cafes, but we asked the question anyway. The staff were fantastic, there were a couple of GF options on offer which she declined, but then the cook offered to make a GF ham and cheese bagel and her eyes lit up! I ordered a coffee and breakfast wrap. We decided to embrace being late and sat down to enjoy our breakfast. The bagel got 5/5 from my daughter (who is very picky), my wrap was delicious and the coffee was excellent. Service was great, nice seating and surroundings. A hidden gem and we will definitely visit again.

KUZA is a trendy and laid-back restaurant that offers a variety of options including meat, sushi, and vegetarian dishes along with sake. The ambiance is stylish and the food quality is excellent. Customers have praised the dragon roll sushi and Steak tofu as highlights of their dining experience. While it can get busy, making reservations in advance is recommended for a special occasion or to avoid waiting for seating.
Incredible dinner last night. Food was amazing. Highly recommend you go and enjoy the food, service and atmosphere. Lovely restaurant

Really beyond my expectations! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. They are very vegan-friendly and offer a wide selection of options. I highly recommend the tofu steak—make sure to order a bowl of rice to go with it. Super flavorful and satisfying!

I went there with my partner on Tuesday night I was thinking to give a really good review because foods were amazing but unfortunately I got food positions I guess from the oyster because we shared everything except the oyster. Today is Friday and I still haven’t fully recovered yet.

Cozy japanese place with quick service and friendly staff. The sake and japanese whiskey recommends were good. Had the Nikka from the barrel which was a smooth whiskey. The tataki and yellow fish ceviche was a stand out. The okonomayaki seafood was good. I didn't think the beef cheeks or the soft shell crab was that good. Very beefy and crabby in smell, but cooked well. Pricey compared to other Japanese places in vic park

Kuza is one of our favourite Perth restaurants and certainly did not disappoint this time. The tuna tartare and crispy nori crackers was an absolute stand out dish. Amazing!!! We booked at the last minute and only had the option of seats at the bar- however was comfortable, if a little noisy. The service is always good- staff were attentive & food/drinks arrived at a good pace.

This charming café boasts a bright and inviting atmosphere, complete with a stunning display of homemade pastries that beckon you to indulge. The café proudly serves locally roasted Grand Central Coffee as their signature blend, ensuring each cup is rich and flavorful.
Solid breakfast option, better than its immediate neighbours in my opinion. Good service, food is nice, coffee is a highlight. Mocha in particular was well done in our preference. Service was fast considering how busy it was.

Stopped in for breakie with the crew after a girls night at the Crown . Indoor & outdoor seating available. Nice, bright space . Service staff are quite not very chatty, food did take a while to come out tho they didn’t seem busy. Breakfast menu is small and when asked if creamy sauce could be left out of a dish , we’re told no as that tied the dish together. Mango smoothie were delicious.

The cafe we wanted to go to was full so we popped our head in next door and what a welcome surprise. The food was delightful and the menu different so you had room to be adventurous. Salmon Poke bowl was devoured by my wife and I stuck to bacon and eggs Perfectly poached, rich golden free range , delicious bacon and the sourdough was buttered ! 10/10 - go there, I’m so glad we did

Brando's is a charming Italian eatery located in Victoria Park, known for its inviting outdoor seating and large murals. The restaurant is celebrated for its traditional wood-fired pizzas, offering a diverse range of toppings from classic margheritas to gourmet options like prosciutto and rocket. Over the years, Brando's has become a beloved staple in the area, drawing locals back with their delectable pizzas.
Cosy modern restaurant. Fantastic foods, friendly service. The pizzas were taste so good. Not overly loaded with too much tomato based. Well balance toppings. The chilly muscles were nicely hot with a touch of creaminess. One of the best on my list. Their carbonara and fish of the day were excellent. Pasta cooked al dente. Nice ribs.
Hana K — Google review
Had a group of 12 people celebrating 2 birthdays. We booked as was a Sunday lunch. Service was good and delivery of food was also good. Most in the group ordered pizzas and they all loved them I had calamari and chips and salad. YUMMO the calamari was melt in your mouth good. Coffee was good. They serve alcohol . Only issue we had was the parking. It was a bit hard.

Foods were great, the ribs could have been more tender but the sauce was good.

We absolutely adore this Italian restaurant. Have been going to this lovely restaurant for the past 10 years and the food has always been amazingly good! Never fails to impress. Brandos has been the place to celebrate many of our special occasions and family dinners. The food is always fresh and full of flavour and the atmosphere is warm, cosy and inviting. Definitely recommend Brandos for your next outing or family celebration.

Nice food nice place to hang out. Very crowded on Saturday evening. Need to wait 50-60 mins for the food to serve, but the taste is worth it. The place is suitable for a gang of friend to gather and have some drinks.

Went here because one down the road was closed (even though should have been open) and so happy it was because this was unexpectedly excellent. Small menu but everything we had was great. Scrambled eggs on toast, eggs were so nice and light and the bread was soft and light. Tuna Bacon toast was exceptional with dijon mustard inside. Coffee were very good and not bitter or too strong. Cannot recommend enough. And price was very reasonable.

Cute spot and nice staff. The flat white was great the first time. Went back today for two more coffees and they were equally fantastic:) I also LOVE the takeaway cups. I hope they stay! Staff was also super nice! Not any gluten free food items sadly but I’ll be back for coffee!

The big breakfast was generous and full of flavor, with the scrambled eggs perfectly creamy and fluffy. The addition of a traditional Nepalese breakfast brought a warm, authentic touch, and the freshly brewed coffee and Nepalese tea completed the experience beautifully. Truly one of the best and most satisfying breakfasts I’ve ever had. Thank you for making my day and will visit again. #highly recommended and best of luck to the new management 😌❤️

time of visit : 2017 This place charms with its relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Fresh ingredients shine in their delightful meals, from vibrant salads to perfectly cooked eggs. Don't miss their expertly brewed coffee - a cappuccino here is smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Whether you choose eggs Benedict or another creative dish, Harvest Espresso offers generous portions at fair prices, making it a great value. Be aware, it might get a little overcrowded due to its popularity, but with its warm welcome and focus on quality, Harvest Espresso is a must-try for a relaxed breakfast or lunch in Perth
Renand A — Google review
We came back after a long time and it’s still really good. The omelette was gooey and very tasty and the eggs Benedict are excellent, perfectly portioned and not drowned in sauce. Delicious coffee will not be waiting so long to return next time.
Amy K — Google review
The food and coffee were fine, but the experience overall was disappointing. The space didn’t feel very welcoming, with all the tables pushed to the edges of the room. It also wasn’t very clean, and there seemed to be little attention to detail in the setup and service. Even though there were only four people in the café, our food took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, not a place I’d choose to return to.
Elena — Google review
Different seasons with different menu. Amazing. Although the place is small and feels slightly cramp, the space is still welcoming and nice. Wait can be long due to the small area but because it is popular and the food is great, it is worth the wait. Food presentations are outstanding as shown in the pictures but portions can be more due to the price charged. Some season’s menu is better than others but it is normal. Overall, a really good place for breakfast with friends.

Beautiful little cafe in Vic Park. I love that it’s just further from the central busy part of Vic Park, which also makes parking easier. I only came for a hot chocolate but the food looked incredible, I am excited to come back for a proper breakfast or lunch. The staff were super friendly whenever they came to the table. Do recommend booking ahead on weekends, we came around 11am and had to sit at the bar because the other tables were reserved. Definitely recommend coming here for brunch or a coffee catch up!

You can really tell they care about their customers and are well pleased in what they do. The food was absolutely amazing! Everything was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home, whether you’re popping in for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee catch-up. The restaurant's decor has a rustic charm to it, although some may find it slightly worn-down. However, the food is definitely the highlight here as they offer an array of delicious options.
We had a lovely experience dining at this Nepalese restaurant with my husband and son. The momos were absolutely delicious—fresh, full of flavour, and made with such quality ingredients. I have visited this Nepali Restaurant multiple times to dine-in as well as takeaway orders. Food is served fresh and delicious. Exceptional customer service. Highly recommended to visit.

🌟 A Hidden Gem in Perth ⭐️Authentic Delight 🌟 Discovering this Nepalese restaurant has been one of the biggest food highlights for us in Perth. Honestly, it feels like a treasure that every local should explore 💎 The authenticity here is unmatched — every dish carries tradition, skill, and recipes that feel like they’ve been perfected over generations. Unlike many places where you say, “oh, that was nice”, here you say, “wow, this is MASTERED.”👩‍🍳 The menu is huge, and yet every dish we’ve tried so far has been consistently delicious, fresh, and deeply satisfying. We’ve been here many times with family members of all ages, and every visit has left us wanting more. The service is warm, the atmosphere welcoming, and the food never loses its charm. Some of our absolute favourites: 1. 🥟 Momo/Dumpling – the star of the show! From the comforting jhol momo to the smoky kothi momo, and of course the momo platter (a must if you’re trying it for the first time). Variety of meat to choose from. We love chicken, hence our pick ☺️ 2. 🍛 Thali (pre-prepared plate of multiple dishes)(especially the chicken thali) – bursting with authentic flavors. 3. 🍗 Chicken dishes – the chicken choila, chicken skewers, and chilli chicken are simply outstanding. 4. 🌱 Starters and sides – every single one feels handcrafted with love. The Waiwai, Chatpatey, Aloo/potato sukhey and Chop. 5. ☕ Ending with a soothing cup of Himalayan tea is the perfect finish or even a start. What stands out most is how every ingredient feels fresh, every plate feels crafted, and every visit feels like a new discovery. Sometimes you think you won’t finish your meal, but once you start, you’ll be tempted to order more — it’s that appetizing. This restaurant truly deserves a spot on Perth’s food map. If you want to experience authentic Nepalese cuisine that blends the best of South Asian flavors in its own unique way, this is the place. The sisters and nieces and nephews and the family fellas and current staff deserve an applaud 👏 for delivering Outstanding Food and Service with such warmth!! My personal tip: don’t just go once — visit at least Four times, because each round you’ll uncover new favourites and still want to return 😋 ✨ Highly, highly recommended. A true hidden gem that Perth is lucky to have! ✨⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Filipino restaurant
Lola’s Filipino Diner is a delightful culinary gem that transports you straight to the heart of the Philippines with its vibrant flavors and inviting atmosphere. Known for its mouthwatering adobo and succulent liempo, this cozy eatery also boasts fried chicken that rivals even the best fast-food chains, featuring a secret blend of herbs and spices paired with rich house-made gravy and creamy garlic rice.
This small but cosy and authentically decorated restaurant has been in our go to list for casual dining ever since we tried it a couple of years ago. Their grilled pork belly with garlic rice is well balanced, tasty, and easy to eat. Not much dessert option though they are decent. Our personal favourite is the flavoursome spaghetti and fried chicken with gravy on the side. Kudos to the restaurant for adopting online ordering which makes the dining experience hassle free and extremely easy. Customer service is good but not exceptional. There were instances where we had to wait awhile to be served at the counter, granted that was during the busy time. There’s also room for improvement for the food to arrive at our table. Nothing outrageous but still considerable. Nonetheless, we’re willing to wait for good quality and tasty meal.

I tried the main meals and I must say they were quite enjoyable. The Sunday dessert was particularly delicious however, I wasn't as impressed with the halo halo. Personally, I feel it would have been better without the ice. Nevertheless, the ube ice cream and the small Taisan cake in the Sunday were delightful. I rated my experience 4 stars primarily due to my dislike of the halo halo and the bottomless fruit punch. With a punch i expected a bit of fizz, but it just tasted like cordial. Considering it's priced at $4.50, I shouldn't complain. Overall, I had a decent experience.

Came here excited to try something different and was pleased to see it was still relatively early and there were only 3 other tables filled, some with food already. I had my hopes up for a solid feed. Went with my little one who was getting impatient - a table of 3 and I only got my food 45 minutes later! Pretty sure the restaurant prioritised the takeaway orders which were getting picked up I did check with the kitchen past the half hour point. Made it slightly depressing seeing plenty of orders going by. Ambience is a bit street food style- slightly oily room with slightly oily tables. Really noisy and really hot inside. I did really enjoy the fluffy buttery mashed potato and the flavour of the chicken was pretty spot on. However the adobo pork was way too salty and the eggplant was drenched in oil and we struggled to stomach much of it. Best part of my meal was leaving. If you’re ok waiting a long time in an Asian food court style environment maybe this is for you- go for the chicken and mash.

First real Filipino food experience, food is always great as if the service. Small cosy little place. Fairly disappointed that they removed the burger from the menu… It definitely changed the frequency I visited. Place is a bit difficult to get to if your not on foot. The kitchen can be a bit of a wait but the food is worth it! Bottomless tea! What else can I say!

If happiness had a flavor, it would be found at Lola's! My taste buds embarked on a flavor adventure that was familiar, as I have been a number of times before. The coconut chicken adobo was an off menu temporary special. Served with garlic rice, it was a symphony of flavors dancing on my palate. The tender chicken infused with coconut goodness paired perfectly with the fragrant garlic rice, creating a harmony that made my taste buds sing! The pork belly liempo with chilli sauce was a delightful twist on a classic favorite. The tender pork belly combined with the spicy kick of the chili sauce created an explosion of flavors that left me wanting to do a happy dance right there in my seat, especially once I added some of the spicy vinegar. The fried chicken is definitely in the conversation for the best in Perth. The crispy, juicy chicken covered with the flavour packed gravy and perfectly seasoned fries is comfort food at its finest. Each bite was like a warm hug from a Filipino grandma. The staff are super friendly, it's pretty vibrant and bustly inside and the seating is basic but comfortable. All up this meal was $44 with a drink. If you're looking for a new place to try, check this place out. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!

Visited Saturday afternoon for the Ultimate Burger Steak special and it was AWESOME. You get a little bit of everything (chicken, burger, egg, rice, fries AND a spring roll), so you get to experience all the different flavours. Our order was taken promptly, the food came out quickly, and was fresh. The chef came out and spoke to us afterward to ask what we thought of the meal, which was really impressive. He was super lovely! Love Lola's. Please do Ultimate Burger Steak more often!!

as a filipino myself who constantly misses the taste of home, i am super thankful for lolas! guests with me were also super happy with the food, and loved loved the chicken joy. It is quite salty but dont let other reviews change your mind! Everything we ate had an explosion of flavour, n the delicious gravy is great at balancing with the chicken. Honourable mentions to the cheeseburger rolls and pork belly adobo! Also had the corned beef and inasal chicken which were delicious 🤤 Myself and my friends couldn’t stop thinking about the food for a week and is really well-priced. Coming back tonight for more!

Japanese restaurant
Tao Cafe, located in East Victoria Park, offers a modern and laid-back dining experience with a focus on Pan-Asian cuisine. The menu features Vietnamese, Thai, and Japanese dishes, including noodle and rice options as well as inventive housemade sushi. One of the highlights is the sushi train that winds its way through the venue, offering diners a variety of fresh sushi and sashimi to choose from.
Wonderful restaurant and friendly staff. We've been dining here for quite some time now and food is always yum! Serving size is very generous and always tasty packed full of flavour. Staff is always lovely and very accommodating. Sushi train is always full of fresh sushi and if they don't have it on the sushi train you can always order and it's made fresh for you. Lovely restaurant for casual lunch and dinners with family or friends.

Disappointing and a let down. Grumpy staff member looked after us, table was sticky and not cleaned properly. We were going to buy from the conveyer but some of the food did not have covers on it. Pricing was quite obscene... a cup of lollies was $6, a cup of jelly (yes...jelly!) was the same. One of our meals was ok but the Bun Bo Hue had what appeared to be old meat in it. It was very tough and smelled strongly of its own, even mixed with the dish. A tiny little tub with chilli oil was 50c and another was $1 and called 'open food'. When ordering water (at $4 !!) we got a bottle and no cups... While the rest of Victoria Park was bustling with people and queues waiting into the streets, this place had plenty of seats and low volume of patrons. Hmmmm. Owner: You need to pick up the game here. Imagine you want to eat here and make the changes. Also dont store things in the corner where it can be seen from the road and near tables... storage is elsewhere. We will not return here after thinking to give this place another go. Note the pricing wall... looks like it is regularly updated but so amateurishly ...its embarrassing. Not hard to make this look slick and clean! Update: if you see reviews suddenly appear after criticism, and those reviews are 5 star, then you can assume safely that that review is false. Especially if that review is right after a low review and time lines show weird gaps.

I’ve always enjoyed the curries here, especially the green chicken and red beef, they were great on our first visit. Unfortunately, on a return visit to Tao Café in Vic Park, we picked up a green-colored cake from the sushi train. I ate half before my friend noticed it smelled off. When we checked more closely, we saw visible mold on the side. We reported it because we don’t want others getting sick. Please double check your sushi train desserts for freshness.

We were here for late lunch so it was not busy. Peaceful and quiet relaxing. Nice selection of food from the menu and there is a sushi train. We had beef Singapore noodles and crispy chicken fried rice. There were delicious. Staffs were not really attentive but service was fine. I don’t mind to dine in here but I think it’s lacking atmosphere. I hope the restaurant will look into this to improve.

We ordered a rainbow sushi, another sushi, salmon balls and beef curry... absolutely everything was delicious, the staff was very friendly and the place is very nice! And my brother was able to get a beer. And it was open at 2.30PM very convenient for our “late lunch” ✨👌

Food tasted very average and can tell ingredients was not crispy fresh. We ordered 2 plates and came out 10 minutes apart from each other and it wasn't busy. With so many other restaurants i have been to nearby that is cheaper and fresher. I would not go here again.

HORRIFIC! STAY AWAY! Had my birthday dinner here; ordered starters and mains. Waited an hour for mains only to be told they had not put the order in to the kitchen. Had to leave as already 8.30pm and kids had to get to bed. On paying the bill we asked the manager for a discount/voucher given their error and I had not been able to have my birthday dinner. Her attitude was downright disgusting and she said "she chooses not to assist us" and we received no apology. We were very polite but I now understand why they were completely empty with no one eating there. Will never support them again.

Kabuki is a no-frills eatery with a small dining area that offers traditional Japanese cuisine and takeaway sushi. Many patrons dine in regularly, enjoying dishes like Beef Tataki, Pork Gyoza, and Sashimi which consistently impresses with its high quality and freshness. The warm dishes also seem popular based on the number of orders observed. Prices are reasonable for Japanese food, making Kabuki the go-to place on Albany Hwy for Sashimi and Sushi fix.
Katsu chicken with egg was great value for money, Beef Udon was absolute delicious. Gyoza also fresh and delicious. One of our faves on the strip.

Absolutely gorgeous and delicious food!!! I haven't had better japanese food anywhere else in Perth so far! A true diamond in the rough. I highly recommend going there for a meal if you are in the area!

We dine-in at Kabuki at least once a month. The Beef Tataki is our favourite.. seconded by the Pork Gyoza and Sashimi. The Sashimi is consistently great quality and so fresh. We haven't tried the warm dishes but they do look popular from what i can see others ordering. Well priced Japanese food and won't go anywhere else on Albany Hwy for my Sashimi and Sushi fix!

I love this place. The sushi is super fresh especially if you custom order. I’m rarely in this area but whenever I am, i always eat here
Chris A — Google review
Was very disappointed with this place. Thought the reviews were decent and decided to give it a shot. Ordered a large plate of california roll- only to receive what felt like a scrimped version. The rice used wasn’t even sushi rice and it was mainly just cheap imitation crab sticks. So disappointing and not worth it at all. Also got the chicken teriyaki rice bowl and it tasted like day old rice and grilled unseasoned chicken, soaked in soy sauce. Do not recommend AT ALL. Was not appetising one bit. 🙅🏻‍♀️
Laveenyah Y — Google review
Consistently good Japanese food that is reasonably priced. They offer takeaway or dine in. The seating is pleasant and meals are delivered to the table. Staff are friendly and helpful. The miso soup is particularly good here. The sets are good value and include a protein, rice, miso soup and salad. I can highly recommend the chicken or fish teriyaki.
Lucy — Google review
I loved the katsu roll, and the beef teriyaki but the chicken teriyaki, not so much, it was too sweet.
Kinley L — Google review
We enjoyed a casual dinner at Kabuki with the chicken udon, tempura prawn sushi and pork gyoza. The tempura prawn sushi was especially nice as the rice and prawn was still warm in comparison to the rainbow roll in which the sushi rice was cold and a bit harder. All in all would come back again ☺️

Fish and chips takeaway
On a second visit to Cargill Cafe, the customer found their experience much improved. They ordered the 3 sauce chicken with rice, mee sua with deep-fried chicken cutlet, and an omelette with shrimp and oyster. While not particularly fond of the omelette, they enjoyed the flavorful rice and chicken dish. The standout item was their homemade tea - both the black tea and milk tea were fragrant without being overly sweet.
I was thoroughly impressed by the authentic Taiwanese flavors and exceptional service. The Salt & Pepper Chicken Pop meal was a delightful combination of crispy, tender chicken pieces seasoned to perfection. The 大肠面线 (Taiwanese vermicelli with braised pork intestines) offered a rich, savory broth with perfectly cooked noodles and tender intestines, capturing the essence of traditional Taiwanese comfort food. To conclude the meal, the bingsoo was a refreshing treat, featuring finely shaved ice topped with fresh fruits and sweet red beans, providing a perfect balance of sweetness and texture. The attentive staff and cozy ambiance further enhanced the dining experience. I highly recommend

Hidden little gem! We always order the Taiwanese mee sua & fried chicken set when we come here. The food is very authentic and satisfies my Taiwan food cravings. Today, I ordered the sizzling chicken chop. It’s good except I wish it was chips instead of the noodles. Their soya bean milk is also very good - a bit sweet for our liking. Price is reasonable too! I just found out we can call to book a table. Only pity is that only open in the evenings on weekdays. How I wish they will open for lunch.

Let's get the negative out of the way. Parking. But this is because Cargill Cafe is popular. We turned up at 1.55pm despite their 2.30pm closure and the place was packed. Last orders are at 2.15pm so we quickly made our order Chicken Cutlet Mee Sua and Braised Pork Belly Rice. Not long after (max 10 minutes wait), we were served and the food looked scrumptious. Best thing? They tasted delicious. Sitting in the cafe with Chinese music playing in the background does give off a Taiwanese vibe. Overall, we loved it and we will be back for more!

Wanted to especially write a review because a friend and I showed up today in the middle of a thunderstorm and the owner (I think) was so extremely warm and welcoming to us. Have been here quite a few times, so I knew the food is good (always get three cup chicken), but today's service made the experience so much better (they're usually pretty good already).

There are not many Taiwanese restaurants in Perth, this is definitely one of the best. The restaurant is small but clean, simple and attractive. Amazing atmosphere. They serve authentic Taiwanese cuisine, very tasty. Must try their fried chicken cutlet and mian xian (thin noodle). The staff were helpful and polite. They have musicians playing live music in the evening.

Their food are so good. Reasonable price and taste exactly the same in Taiwan. Highly recommend all the deep-fried snacks. Definitely will keep going back.

Love how this cafe is tucked away in suburbia away from the busy traffic of Vic Park. The food is simple yet flavoursome with good size portion. Definitely value dining here!

Wonderful cafe serving Taiwanese Street food here. The dishes were all great, brought back memories of our holidays in Taipei. The fried chicken cutlet rice was amazing, the stewed vermicelli with chitterlings tasted just as authentic as the ones we had in Taiwan, and the fried mushrooms were fun snacks to have too. We will definitely be back for more!

Restaurant
Yum Yum Tree Victoria Park is a charming Malaysian restaurant in Perth that offers quick service and delicious dishes at affordable prices. The menu features a wide variety of options, including Hakka style pork belly, Hainanese chicken rice, ginger-infused pork trotter, Plain Rice Flour Roll (Ipoh Chee Cheong Fun), fried squid, noodles, Loh Bak (minced meat roll), and Ice Kacang for dessert. The portions are generous and the flavors are aromatic.
Finally, I’ve found my favourite Malaysia restaurant!!! Love everything here!! The food is great, the dessert are so yummy, the services are good and the portions are so valued for money. Love love love 💜💜💜💜

It's quite a popular restaurant serving some interesting Malaysian dishes that make it worth a try. Overall, the dishes were presented well and the classics are cooked well and tasty. For me though, the sauces with the Rice Flour Roll and Pork Trotter were really strong detracting from the Rice Flour Roll, and the pork trotter was intense sweet and sour. I'm probably just not used to the dishes but if you like strong sauces then you should enjoy it as the inderlying food was good. Bring cash to avoid the card surcharge.

What a gem of a Malaysian cuisine to find in Perth! We ordered the Hakka style pork belly, Hainanese chicken rice and ginger infused pork trotter. The pork trotter was full of aromatic flavours and the pork slices was so crisp but at the same time, melted straight in our mouths. Their menu has a vast range of dishes to choose from, will definitely be coming back to try their other dishes. Service was impeccable and food was served within 5-10 minutes of ordering.

Restaurant
Pepper Lunch Victoria Park is a popular spot offering a variety of dishes, including classic north and south Indian cuisine. The menu features options like chicken katsu, beef, hamburger, and wagyu cooked to your preference in different spiciness levels. The restaurant provides fast and efficient service with seating inside as well as some facing the road through open windows. It's known for its delicious Japanese curry and high-quality meats.
Average price, not too cheap or to expensive, place was quiet, so our orders arrived fast, its cool so see ur steak frying on the hot pan they put on your table. The meat was soft and juicy, they way it should be, their sauce was a very good addition to the meat flavor and to the rice portion as well. I would come back.
Naci — Google review
On google and on the front door it says closed 9pm tonight. Their kitchen did not close only 30 but 32 MINUTES EARLY, which is unacceptable for a restaurant serving hot plate food (minimal cooking involved). We travelled 40 minutes for a meal at this establishment, yet were met with a waitress with two crossed arms at the front door. As a beloved restaurant of ours, all we can say is DO BETTER.
Isaac L — Google review
We went here together with my family, the atmosphere was good and have delicious food. I will recommend to try the Dry curry classic pepper beef if you want an extra taste and spice. Also my husband tried the Jumbo Classic Beef with an egg, the combination was so good. The staffs were approachable and nice. I asked for extra sauces and condiments (like pepper and salt) they immediately gave us. Our experience here was good and we will definitely come back for their tasty food and good service.
Nalyn F — Google review
It's the same name, but it varies from branch. I paid for extra rice and meat, but the amount of food was no different from the amount of food generally served. The beef even smelled a little strange. The atmosphere at the store wasn't bad. But I think this store should pay more attention to the food.
Sunny Y — Google review
Went here a few times already both during lunch and dinner rush. Had some special last minute changes to my dish but the staff always take care of it for me. Food is good for the price range. Will be coming back.
Phuong T — Google review
Went there last night with a few of our friends to try this place out. Unfortunately was really disappointed with the meals. The food was okay, it wasn’t terrible however, the most classic meal ever was $17+, just so you know it comes with 6-7 peices of thin beef with rice, corn and pepper . Although it’s called pepper rice, the pepper was a little underwhelming for me personally…. The portion was quite small compared to the standard portions all around perth as well for that pricing. Unfortunately we did have to wait for a really long time cause there were only 2 staff attending to the whole restaurant front and back. The staff was amazing for being able to do everything from cooking to serving to cleaning while having around 20-30 people to attend to. I really sympathize with the poor staff having to take up so much responsibility it definitely felt very understaffed as they were running here and there. Unfortunately I would not come back because the price is just too expensive for the portion and the standard of the meal. I have had pepper lunch multiple times in Malaysia and even then it was cheaper and lots of beef in it. They can definately make portions bigger but it requires so much add ons that you would pay up to $30-40 for it, it just isn’t worth it in my opinion.
Ina B — Google review
The curry was tasty and you can get them in different spiciness- mild, spicy and devil spicy. They have a variety of offering from chicken katsu, beef, hamburger, wagyu and others. There's a salad, chips, miso and other sides on offer. A section of Pokka tea drinks, water and other drinks. Seating inside and some seating facing the road viewing through open windows. It can get busy at times, but at the times visited it was quite. A great spot to feed your Japanese curry cravings.
