Peninsula
Outdoor Activities
Capo di Milazzo is a stunning peninsula in Sicily, Italy, featuring a picturesque lighthouse and breathtaking views of the sea and Aeolian Islands. Visitors can explore the Archaeological Museum with its exceptional collection of ancient artifacts from Greek, Roman, and Phoenician times. Additionally, taking a boat trip to the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aeolian Islands is highly recommended.
An amazing natural park with water on both sides. Lots of places to walk, a few restaurants, a real gem for the city. How can you not give this five stars?
Norm Y — Google review
The cape offers lots of nature and some historical ruins. It’s great do disconnect from the hassles of everyday life and connect with nature.
Jürg R — Google review
Wonderful view on the sea. It's a pity that it's not enhanced and promoted enough. Unfortunately, all around the place, there's garbage and unkempt vegetation. We met also the rabbits living in there!
Anna W — Google review
it is worth walking to the end of the cliff, the view is wonderful. I suggest you plan to see the sunset.
Matej — Google review
Wonderful place. Clean pristine water. Pool of venus is heaven.
Sumit R — Google review
A short walk will lead you to the place with an amazing view on the area and the islands. If you go down the stairs, you will find one natural pool with tranparant waters. It is a charming place where you can take a bath or swim. We regret we did not know about it before otherwise we would have brought our swimming suits too!

Castello di Milazzo

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
The Castello di Milazzo, a medieval citadel perched atop a hill, boasts a 17th-century cathedral and the remains of the old town hall. Don't miss the breathtaking panorama from the Normand Tower! The castle also includes the Museum of Tonnara, where visitors can learn about tunafish fishing using nets under the sea.
Interesting historical site dating back to the Roman empire or possibly before. There is a church there with a mural made of marble in layers in a very unique way. From the top it also has amazing views; since the place is located in a very narrow peninsula you can see the sea bordering from both sides.
Rodrigo H — Google review
You can watch the sunset but it's closing at 2030 and the people throwing you out around 2010 so you have to be fast :). Nice small walk with some museums (for us - not very nice but depends). Nice overview over the city.
David L — Google review
Great visit! The climb to the castle was actually easy though it looks high from the esplanade. The complex is huge but very easy to walk around and offers great views especially to Vulcano and Lipari Islands. There is stairs in most of the buildings but outdoors is paths. There are a number of nice restaurants directly outside. We spent approximately 2 hours just wandering around.
Two B — Google review
Great views and amazing ruins to explore. There was an exhibition on music lead by a local man who was extremely talented and one of the highlights of our 11 days exploring Sicily.
Nıcole L — Google review
The structure is very imponent and the place have been given beautiful moment. There was an old man his name is Antonio. He tell and song us a beautiful story about the cradle of the world and the human behavior. Fantastic 😍
Armando P — Google review

Piscina di Venere AMP Capo Milazzo

Mentioned on
2 lists
Nature preserve
Outdoor Activities
The Pool of Venus is a picturesque nature preserve located at the end of a scenic footpath on the tip of a peninsula in Milazzo. The pool, with crystal clear waters and rocky edges, is surrounded by cacti, flowers, and olive trees that lead to the rugged coast. Visitors can enjoy an excellent hike starting from Marina Port Lungo-Mare and walking along the westward shoreline before crossing the spine of the peninsula to reach famous landmarks like the sanctuary, cape, castle or fortress.
I got there late in the afternoon of a cloudy day still it was amazing. First you walk through a Mediterranean shrubs/trees area, then a breathtaking view of the sea and a stairway to the pool of Venus. A many-sense experience where you can also hear the birds and smell the fragrance of aromatic plants. It’s a must-see place in all seasons. The entrance is free; the sign says gate closes at 7.30 but I left at almost 8 with no problems.
Donatella P — Google review
Absolutely stunning place! We visited in May and had the whole spot to ourselves, not crowded at all. The water was clear and pleasantly warm for a swim. A magical and peaceful experience surrounded by nature. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic escape.
M D — Google review
Small and crowded, need to be careful about the slippery rocks atvthe bottom, covered with moss. Water shoes are recommended. The pool is a good place to watch the sunset, but afternoon hours not ideal for taking pictures of the pool (unless they are taken from the sea edge) because the contre jour effect (light behind the subject).
Magda D — Google review
Very light hike for 5-10 min through an olive garden on top of the hill. The pool is surrounded by rocks (beach shoes are useful) and definitely worth a dip. Wonderful sunset spot. The path is starting from a big parkinglot and two restaurants (they were closed when we were there on the 1st of october). On the right from the parkinglot there is an other parking place with olive trees and it's possible to stay overnight with camper van.
Laura S — Google review
Very beautiful but can get crowded. If you want to avoid people go late when others start heading home. Bonus is the sunset if you can stay long enough. The place closes at 9 so they ll come and tell you to go home around 7:30. (They will tell you they close 8 or 8:30 but they just want to go home early)
Marton C — Google review
Went there on a cloudy day, still quite beautiful, cause the sea is so blue and somewhere the sea even glows! Very Rocky Mountain! I like yellow khaki rocks with cactus 🌵 , look so hardcore!
Guan C — Google review
Just amazing. Be ready to hike but it's completely worth it.
Summer C — Google review
We went off season, early October towards the end of the day. The water was stunning and the sunset even more beautiful. Worth the trek down and up the rocky steps. Don’t be a dumb dumb and forget your swim shorts in the car. 🙃

Beaches
The Lido La Fenice offers breathtaking views of the sunset over the Eolian islands, creating an unforgettable experience. Unlike other beachclubs in Puglia, this place stands out for its warmth and friendliness towards guests. Despite hosting birthday and graduation celebrations, they still managed to provide seating arrangements. The staff, especially the entertaining Leonardo, were exceptionally amiable and refused to accept tips. The food and wine offered were not only delectable but also affordable.
Nice well organized, clean beach club with excellent restaurant, the Spada Caponata was the best I have ever had!!! Also has a snack bar also with great granite. Charlie runs the beach and took excellent care of us. Nice beds and umbrellas. Free showers and clean bathrooms. Highly recommend!
Al B — Google review
Came here on a quiet day (early October) after the summer rush. Great gins and Aperols
George M — Google review
Incredible sunset looking west past the Eolian islands. This place was jumping. Compared to Puglian beachclubs this place was warm and friendly. They accommodated us with seats even though they had a birthday and a graduation on. The staff were so friendly and big Leonardo was good fun and refused any tips. Food and wine was super tasty and cheap. I wish all beachclubs were variations of this place.
Jon C — Google review
A beautiful place to be with family and friends, with the view of the beach. The food was delicious and the waitress was also very at her Job.
Fasasi E — Google review
Nice quiet well equipped beach resort. Lovely beach
Joe S — Google review
Not very welcoming towards tourists. When we arrived the staff seemed annoyed that we didn't speak Italian. They found an employee who was very helpful though. Later we tried to buy food, but was ignored so we went to a cafe nearby instead. While we were stayed there the staff regularly yelled at each other, which was very disturbing. Not recommended, but unfortunately there are not many alternatives.

(Translated by Google) From the seafront going up to the castle you unexpectedly come across this museum created from the quartering of the Spanish soldiers defending the fortress. This long building cut the isthmus from one sea to the other in a strategic position. The preserved finds essentially come from burials and testify to a human presence as early as 2 thousand BC. Greek and Roman finds of notable beauty and clearly arranged follow one another in successive rooms. Congratulations for the restoration of the structure and for the finds (Original) Dal lungomare salendo per il castello inaspettatamente si incontra questo museo ricavato dall’acquartieramento dei soldati spagnoli a difesa della fortezza. Spiaggia di Ponente

West beach, situated in close proximity to the fortress, serves as the primary coastal destination for visitors to the town. The section nearest to the historic center tends to be the most populated. West beach boasts excellent amenities and is particularly well-suited for families with young kids. One can witness its captivating beauty during sunset, which enhances its charm remarkably.
This beautiful stone beach is accessible (also) with a stroller by a wooden walkway. A shower with sweet water is available close to the small snack bar (chiosco) open from 10 in the morning until late in the night. The nearby pine trees offer a cool shelter against the sun and has a small playground for kids.

Spiaggia di Ponente — what can I say? It has some of the clearest waters in the Mediterranean, with stunning views of Castello di Milazzo, beautiful skies, and a sunset that's nothing short of spectacular. A dream to witness. I’ll definitely return — the peninsula is a truly breathtaking paradise.
Silvia A — Google review
(Translated by Google) Very large beach, quieter on weekdays. Clear water. Unfortunately, the usual rudeness is causing the beach to be very dirty, being pebbly it isn't very noticeable, but rubbish and cigarette butts are taking over, which is a shame. (Original) Spiaggia molto ampia, durante i giorni feriali più tranquilla. Acqua limpida. Purtroppo la consueta maleducazione sta portando la spiaggia ad essere molto sporca, essendo di ciottoli non si nota molto, ma la spazzatura e le cicche di sigaretta stanno prendendo il sopravvento, peccato.

(Translated by Google) Excellent beach. The pebbles are just large enough to not bother you while you walk and they don't stick to you. The beach is really big and there is room for everyone so you don't have to be on top of each other. The sea deepens gradually but quickly: you don't have to travel kilometers to reach a good depth to swim freely. The beach is also equipped with free showers and spaces to throw away rubbish. The only flaw is the dirt at the beginning of the beach, especially at the beginning. (Original) Ottima spiaggia. Unica pecca è la sporcizia all'inizio della spiaggia, soprattutto all'inizio.

Trattoria la Casalinga

Restaurant
Trattoria la Casalinga is a quaint eatery located close to the Lungomare in Milazzo. Patrons can choose to dine inside, on the charming closed-off road, or in the colorful garden at the back. The vibrant ambiance extends to the dishes and tables, which are also bursting with color. The restaurant is known for its delectable seafood options, particularly the mixed fried fish that comes in generous portions.
We came back here two nights in a row just to try different items on the menu… everything is DELICIOUS! Service is quick and very friendly. Wine menu is perfect for pairing with their food (white or red). Prices are unbeatable too. A must try
Holden C — Google review
Was recommended this trattoria after checking into our B&B. Service was quick and friendly. We enjoyed all of our food at very reasonable prices. We had a variety of dishes and enjoyed them all. The pasta, meat, and seafood were all cooked well. We tried almost all of their dessert and enjoyed them all- cheesecake, tiramisu, and cannoli.
Thomas C — Google review
The food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing and could reccomend this place more to everyone.
Nıcole L — Google review
Probably best street for Mediterranean dinner night in Milazzo in terms of atmosphere. Drinks, Salads and risotto were good, linguini pasta a bit blend.
Gergely F — Google review
Great food especially the grilled seafood selection. The cold meats platter as a starter is generous and to be shared. The spaghetti marinara was good but not as good as the grilled seafood dish…was expecting more of a tomato based sauce. The atmosphere is great seems to be full of locals and great location 👏👏
Mike B — Google review
We were recommended this place by our B&B host - it was good but not stellar. We shared the grilled veggies and vegetarian salad which were nice. The smoked fish plate was good. The house wine wasn’t great. On our table, the grilled swordfish was good, the shrimp and langoustine on the mixed seafood plate were good and everything else was eh. I had the gluten free (Senza glutine) spaghetti carbonara which was good.
Kelly T — Google review
A restaurant in a tiny road near the Lungomare in Milazzo. We have been sitting in the little garden behind the restaurant, but it is possible to sit inside or on the little road which is closed to cars.We liked the garden wich is very colorful. In fact also the dishes and the tables are colourful in the little garden. The food was very good especially fish . I had the mixed fried fish which was exceptionally good and a big enough portion. Prices are slightly above sicilian average but fully justified for quality and nice area. Personnel is kind but a bit stressed, they really have a lot to do.

I have been several times, overall it's ok, sometimes a bit expensive, and good "primi piatti". But when it's busy I would avoid because the service get lower, and the fish antipasto get poorer

Ristorante Doppio Gusto

Restaurant
Seafood restaurant
Ristorante Doppio Gusto is an exceptional seafood place that offers fresh fish and prime ingredients. The chef's approach to the menu is simple yet skillful, prioritizing the value of the raw materials rather than showcasing. The staff is highly professional, providing a high-quality service in a nice and cozy location situated prominently near the marina. This fantastic restaurant delivers impeccable gourmet food, with everything prepared perfectly and using a great selection of Colosi Wines.
Doppio Gusto – Highly Recommended I wholeheartedly recommend Doppio Gusto. During our holiday stay in Milazzo, we managed to visit Doppio Gusto… twice. Both visits were without a reservation, but we still got a table, even if we were told, “we only have an hour” – respect and thanks to the staff for accommodating us. Next time, of course, we’ll remember to book in advance, and I suggest everyone do the same if they want to enjoy the Doppio Gusto experience. The restaurant has been recently renovated, as we were informed by a very friendly waiter, and features a soft, cozy beige décor. The tables for two are the perfect size, though there are also larger ones that seat six. The pleasant patio and outdoor garden with about 50 seats fill up quickly during dinner hours. We found this place thanks to a Michelin guide recommendation, but it’s clearly a favorite among Milazzo locals as well. And now to what we had on our plates: Red tuna tartare with guacamole and caviar – phenomenal, fresh, and delicate flavor of the fish – worth coming back just for this. Grilled octopus served on potato velouté with confit cherry tomatoes – the strong taste of the sea balanced with the creaminess and lightness of the fluffy potato velouté. Stuffed calamari with green beans – simplicity, freshness, and pure flavor always win – and here, they all shine. Argentinian beef sirloin steak with grilled potatoes – I know this isn’t a very local Sicilian dish, but after two weeks of fish and seafood, I was craving a good-quality piece of meat, and it did not disappoint: cooked to perfection (medium rare), juicy, pink, with a red center. Paired with sea salt and thin slices of grilled potatoes – what more could you want? For dessert: frozen pistachio sphere with a raspberry center – the perfect ending to such a dinner, in such a place, on such an evening. Of course, we cannot forget the impressive wine list – this time we went with a chilled, refreshing, citrusy Grillo, perfect for a hot 30°C summer evening. We left delighted, full, and happy. We will definitely be back.

I enjoyed the restaurant. The vibe was more upscale and the place had a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere. The food was prepared very fresh and each bite was delicious. Sadly, the portion size of my order was smaller than I anticipated, as well as both my dining guests. The price was relevant to the restaurant. Service was very busy and it took a considerable time to get Service. I enjoyed the time but i will take time to venture to other restaurants.

The atmosphere is nice and the food looks good - but that's about it. We ordered sparkling water, but were served still water. I ordered Ravioli, but was served another pasta dish. The waiter didn't bother to ask how we liked the food, and due to language barrier they did not understand our critique. The place wants to be way more than it is, which is average at best.

We wanted to grab a quick lunch before boardg the boat. We had 45 minutes time. The owner refused to serve us or recommed one dish that we can get in that time. We got water for free.

DOPPIOZERO

Pizza restaurant
Restaurant
Doppio Zero in Milazzo is a delightful culinary gem that goes beyond its reputation as a pizzeria. While many flock here for the mouthwatering pizzas, this vibrant eatery also offers an array of flavors that reflect the growing influence of Japanese cuisine in the West. The atmosphere is lively and modern, making it a popular spot among locals and visitors alike.
Delicious pizza! The Bufala and Tonno e Cipolla were amazing – soft dough with a perfect crisp base and well-balanced toppings. Cozy atmosphere. Even on a weekday we had to wait, so I recommend reserving in advance!
Vincenzo C — Google review
One evening in Milazzo before moving to Lipari islands, I was looking for a nice place to eat. This place was recommended to me by my Booking host, and it did not disappoint. I came very early for Italian standards (around 18:45 Saturday), but I was sat down, and then I quickly ordered - it just seemed a bit chaotic because they were still preparing everything for "the main event" (all the people who arrive later). So there was weird waiting time given that I was the only customer there. But overall, they were quite nice to me, and even gave me a free couscous starter. As far as dishes go - arrancino artiginale as a starter was not all that great, macaroni alla siciliana were delicious, and pizza margherita was nice (even though not quite as tasty as neapolitan margherita pizza). 4/5 :)
Pavel R — Google review
Visited the place without a reservation but lucky enough to find a table for two, even if it was the last table in the little alley going back to the kitchen. Pizzas are delicious, strongly recommending the place. We also tasted tiramisu and it was worth saving some space in the stomach. Apart from these, I cannot say that the main personnel was very welcoming. The serving waitresses were very warm and helpful, yet the main guy was not very welcoming towards the guests without any reservations.
Merve S — Google review
We loved their pizza! They usually take reservations, but they were kind enough to seat us. The staff was very cordial, and the pizza was absolutely delicious. Our Aperol Spritz was perfectly balanced and so refreshing. Excellent service all around!

The place is nice and features a beautiful terrace. It’s recommended to make a reservation. The pizza is excellent.
Adrian C — Google review
The food was ok, not bad. But the service quality was shocking. As in previous reports, cold and unmotivated, no one asked if everything was good. After my friendly complaint about the really bad red wine (how did they find that crap in Italy?) the vibes were completely destroyed. If you see the boss acting disrespectful and grumbly in his restaurant, you understand the low level of hospitality of his staff. Nice Piano music didn’t help, avoid this place.

La Bitta Milazzo Ristorante Pizzeria is a delightful culinary gem that promises an authentic Italian dining experience. Nestled in a charming location, this restaurant has quickly become a favorite among locals and travelers alike. Guests rave about the exceptional pizzas, which boast beautifully crafted crusts and perfectly balanced flavors. The menu also features delectable seafood dishes that are expertly prepared, making it a great spot for those who appreciate fresh ingredients.
Stumbled on this place after returning from Vulcano. The pizza we had here was as good as any I have ever eaten and I regularly eat pizza. Beautiful crust and base, perfectly seasoned, a pool of deliciousness in the middle. All the right elements for a great pizza. So far the best I’ve had in Sicily but the holiday isn’t over so let’s see. They were fully booked when we turned up at 9:30pm so we had takeaway, you will need to book if arriving at the typical Sicilian dinner time of 8-10pm, it’s a good sign though considering it’s on a quiet road with no foot traffic. The food being delivered to the tables looked great, especially the seafood carpaccios.

It was unexpected. We didn’t know the place, we are at the hotel nearby and we walked around and we have a pleasant surprise to discover this restaurant. The pizza was excellent, the sicilian salad also very good. The staff was very friendly and kind and the restaurant was nice. We highly recommend it. The pizza is a true Italian pizza. We love it.

Came here with my partner as she really craved a mixed seafood dish. Glad I went for a pizza. The pizza & overall service were pretty good. Her mixed grill seafood dish was overcooked, didn't taste fresh and was very dry... Probably frozen food. Would've given 3 stars if at least the place was a little more cosy...

Nestled conveniently across from the beach, Macchianera Ristorante offers a delightful dining experience that captures the essence of Italian cuisine with a twist. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with delectable anchovies and a flavorful caponata accompanied by perfectly fried seafood. The pasta dishes shine here; one can savor fresh tomatoes paired with exquisite ricotta or indulge in a special lobster and potato creation that leaves diners raving.
One of the nicest meals we've had in Sicily! Delightful service and absolutely delicious food that the whole family enjoyed. We hadn't planned on staying for dessert but are very glad we did.

Amazing place! If you like fish and more experimental Italian cuisine, this is your place. The food is amazing, the location is very nice and good service, plus they have a very cute dog. The egg is very good, the carbonara with swordfish is amazing too!

The location is right across the street from the beach and it is quite nice. We were greeted with an anchovies appetizer which was delicious. We then shared a caponata which was yummy - the fried seafood served with the dish was fried very well and tasted fresh. I had the pasta with tomatoes and ricotta - some of the best ricotta I tasted; my friend had the special “pasta with potatoes and lobster” which she enjoyed. The service was great and the chef came out a few times to say hi. I’d definitely recommend this this place

All nice, I mean we were 10 people very hungry after all day. The restaurant was nice to arrange the tables for us to have one big. Taste of the food was excellent, the only downside was the portions size which were quite small (kind of luxurious look) so we ate well but stayed still a bit hungry, I think they noticed and brought us additional bread and olive oil which satisfied our bellies :)

Great pasta section, superb sauces. Very tasteful. Bravo for the chef! Large portions and good value for money overall, except wine. No house wine despite it was in the menu. Unfortunatelly Staff don't know a word in English. Very weird approach while we were ordering - waiter refused to bring coffe before dinner, despite we had no problem with that. Service could be better overall.

Great place with large portions. They have an amazing variety of different Italian noodles and combinations which you can self choose. The salads are also great, large portions. The service personal is very nice and fast. I would suggest dividing one portion and one entry salad when you are coming with someone else, since the portions are bigger than normal size. Really enjoyed it and we are coming back for sure! 😊

Massive amount of food at an affordable price. They got our orders wrong and the cannoli were not very good. But considering how much pasta you get and how good it was, I would come back again.

Toto Passami lOlio is a delightful gem nestled in the historic heart of Milazzo, where Sicilian hospitality shines through every detail. As you step inside, you're enveloped by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly marries traditional charm with contemporary flair. The menu is a true homage to Sicily, featuring dishes that are not only visually stunning but also rich in flavor and crafted from high-quality ingredients.
I found this randomly while walking in the streets and it was absolutely incredible. The food delicious, original and beautiful (I ordered the carpaccio with mushrooms and topinambour chips, and the homemade tagliatelle with mushrooms and pears). The service was excellent, with good wine recommendations, and the atmosphere was also very nice and cosy with an outside covered deck. My photos don't give the food justice, but if you go to Milazzo, this is a must do!

We simply had an excellent experience at this restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you pass a beautiful open kitchen that rivals that of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The owners are incredibly kind people and you immediately feel like part of the family. The dishes showcase the tradition of Sicilian cuisine, with an exciting, chic new twist from the chef. Highly recommended, make sure to have a dinner here while visiting Milazzo!

Excellent. I don’t have a lot to say but this: The service is exceptional, the chief comes to present you your dishes, and everyone is nice. When it comes to the food, it’s simply amazing. And for the place itself, it’s decorated with taste and the place is calm.
Guillaume P — Google review
The food was good, but was not worth the price, specially the dessert's. The waitresses were kind though not very willing to provide the receipt before paying the bill. Gesture that I did not like at all.
Beatriz P — Google review
The chef has spent time in the UK and north Italy. He has returned to his home town to deliver a spectacular modern menu. The food is impressive, the staff very professional. It stands out amongst the competition. Being Australian, we turned up at 7 and watched everyone else arrive after 9. They were treated like friends at a wedding, which can only be another good sign. A great wine menu. An all round surprisingly good find in rural Italy!

I rarely give less than 5, 4 or even 2* but I had too here... The food itself was not that bad but quite blend, we had to wait 1 full hour to get our main dishesw ans we finished with a big bill (40eur per person, which is a lot in Italy). Bad experience, really.

*Totò Passami l’Olio – A Masterclass in Sicilian Hospitality* From the moment you walk through the door at Totò Passami l’Olio, you know you’re in for something special. The setting is warm and inviting, blending the charm of Milazzo’s historic old town with a modern sense of style. The menu reads like a love letter to Sicily — each dish carefully crafted, beautifully balanced, and made with ingredients that speak for themselves. This is not just food, it’s storytelling on a plate. Every flavor feels purposeful, every detail considered. The welcome is unforgettable: fresh, warm bread straight from the kitchen with golden crusts and a soft center, served with silky Sicilian olive oil — the kind of simple pleasure that tells you the meal ahead will be exceptional. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, anticipating your needs before you even ask. And the chef… not just talented, but genuinely passionate, sharing his craft with a mix of professionalism, charm, and humor that makes you feel like you’re part of something special. Dining here is more than just eating — it’s an experience that stays with you. If you’re in Sicily, make sure Milazzo is on your map… and that this restaurant is your destination.

Ristorante Panzakina

Restaurant
Ristorante Panzakina is a must-visit for seafood lovers, as locals highly recommend it for its fresh and delectable offerings. During lunchtime, the restaurant buzzes with patrons enjoying a variety of dishes. We indulged in a delightful starter featuring an assortment of raw seafood like calamari, tuna tartare, and shrimp, followed by an exquisite selection of grilled local fish that was simply divine. The ambiance allows for both indoor and outdoor seating, making it perfect for any occasion.
The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Thanks to the management.

Locals told us this is THE place for the best seafood and boy were they right… filled with locals during our lunch, we treated ourselves to a starter ‘the raw’ which was a mix of raw items like calamari, tuna tartare, shrimps etc, and then a mix of grilled local fish Incredibly fresh and delicious! Seating area outside and inside available

Review: Ristorante Panzakina Our group of five enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Ristorante Panzakina. The spaghetti cacio e pepe was perfectly balanced — creamy, peppery, and full of flavour — while the l’insalata di mare was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully seasoned. The rosato was sublime, pairing effortlessly with both dishes. Service was polished yet relaxed, with staff attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere captured effortless coastal charm, enhanced by lovely views over the boat harbour. It’s the kind of place where great food, wine, and scenery come together in perfect harmony — a true highlight of seaside dining in Sicily.

Don’t expect the food too much You have to pay 28 euro for pasta which is not cooked well The noodle is not even fresh Let alone those seafood….its just dead for a few months already So sad and disappointed about how they treat food and guests Super rude and full of cigarette smokes environment If you have kids like me inside, you have to be very very very careful!!!

Service was extremely bad, we can’t even describe how rude and disrespectful the waitress were, the whole dining experience was ruined by their attitude. Food was average, can’t compared to a 5 stars restaurant but the price is pretty expensive. We didn’t enjoy our undercooked past and overcooked prawns.
Luciana S — Google review
Really enjoyed all they had to offer. Highly recommended seafood salad.
Dennis B — Google review
Quite a disappointment! Service unfriendly. Arrived there for dinner and asked to eat inside (outside 15 C) and they did not like it. Inside five tables free but put us in a corner near the door, which was constantly kept open to serve customers sitting outside. Entrée (grilled squid on cream of potatoes) was ok, but the potatoes cream was cold so not really creamy but gluey. Personnel did not bother with a smile or kind word. I think if you do do spend at least 50 Euro per person you are not worth consideration! By the way nobody, in service or among the other customers had a mask on and they did not check our green passes. So let’s hope we did not take home anything aside from a steep bill.

Transportation in Milazzo

Getting around Milazzo can be a little daunting if you’re new here. We can help list some of the major public transportation methods if you don’t want to rely on a car.

Nearby airports

Vincenzo Bellini Catania Airport

International airport
Airport
Vincenzo Bellini Catania Airport is a major hub for both domestic and international flights, serving the southern and eastern regions of Sicily. Located just 7km southwest of the city center, it offers convenient access to the beautiful region of Catania. The airport provides transportation options such as the Alibus service, connecting travelers to the city center.
My 5 star review goes to the staff in particular, the facilitators for special assistance. There is a guy by the name of either Alberto or Alfredo... He treated my mother like a diamond. His English is excellent. He has amazing people skills. We spoke of Portugal. I even invited him to visit us next time....he exells in PR, very well spoken and really made a stressful day so much lighter. The airport itself can be a tad confusing but the staff definitely compensate for this. This beautiful gentleman who works for special assistance could do with a promotion. And not just a glorified title but also his Salary. He was training new collegues while tending to my mother. His patience and leadership skills are rare to come by in today's scary society. If the airport administration is reading this, please go and commend this charismatic guy!

Arrival hall doesn’t show any departure flights. Just go to a random departure floor upstairs to find any departure info, and if you are in terminal A and need to go to terminal C, you must go to the ground floor and go outside again. There is no duty free shops in terminal C, and only 3 toilets for women for entire terminal C. The only store is a small cafe with very few selections of food souvenirs. Very pity to miss the chance of earning tourist’s money.
L C — Google review
Very bad airport. The space is very very small and you can’t go to the toilet because you need to wait more than 30 minutes to get in, you don’t have seats to wait your plane.. it’s really chaotic and I didn’t had good experience here. For example, during the checking, there is a lot of place to seat but you can’t because at the same time different companies were doing the plain checkin. This airport need to improve the service for tourist experience
Daiana C — Google review
My first 1-star review ever for this abomination of an airport. From the highway, the roads and signage to the airport are scant and hard to follow. Rental car return areas are very difficult to find, with each provider scattered randomly along the typical Sicilian narrow 'roadways' shared with people walking with luggage, children, strollers, wheelchairs, from randomly located parking lots, rental lots, drop off points, etc. The signage for the rental car return provider has logos too small to see unless you're standing in front of it waiting to get hit by vehicles attempting to navigate, drive and avoid hitting pedestrians. When you finally find the rental car return lot for your company, locating a spot can be challenging. The quick return 'kiosk' (Avis) asks for a QR code, but there's no QR code on your key fob tag. Attendants may or may not be present at the desk. Walking from the rental lot (no shuttle of course) is equally circuitous and dangerous. The route is not marked in any way, requiring a maze of busy street, tiny walkways, steps, curbside, etc. A person with any disability whatsoever would be unlikely to survive this cluster of a route simply to get to Concourse A. Once inside the terminal, a sea of people with waves of movement seemingly without clear intent as to where theyre headed. The check-in desks are in the same general area as the lines for the security checkpoint right smack in the middle of everything else. Once through the single file line through security, one bright spot was there were a good assortment of food vendors adjacent to gates 7-17, although only one with coffee. Our family members at higher number gates reported only a single vendor of any kind at gates 18 and above. The gate areas are very crowded and seats are difficult to find. For the handicapped or anyone that has difficult with stairs, I did not see an elevator anywhere. Even if there was an elevator serving the upper floor, anyone/everyone is likely to encounter stairs at some point, with no other options. Then...lines for the gate are crowded, tight with a lot of pointless gathering of people that could not find seats in the gate areas and have no choice but to stand around while the movement through the general gate areas slinks their way through the masses. Once through the gate check in, down the ramp leads NOT to an airplane, but to 4 flights of stairs to a shuttle that, once crammed with passengers, heads off to your airplane, somewhere on the vast tarmac. When we arrived at the plane, there were more steps up to the plane, however, they kept us IN the shuttlebus for 20 minutes with no explanation, while we sweated our shirts off breathing the diesel exhaust. Then, apparently there was an issue with the plane, but there was no announcement as the shuttle bus turned back around towards the gate, sat below the stairway for 15 minutes then we had to go back up the 4 flights of stairs back up to the ramp where we exited back to the gate area wondering just what the heck is going to happen... An hour passes... departure board indicates the flight has boarded and boarding is closed... another hour passes, no announcement regarding the flight. I wait in a line of people at the desk, all with the same question... no answer except they're still working on the plane. Because they haven't canceled the flight, we can't re-book another flight back to the U.S...an ambiguous holding pattern. Calling the partner airline was no help as the flight is not canceled. No telling whether we're getting out of Catania today. I hope we can at least get to Frankfurt where our chance of getting a flight back to the U.S. are likely greater than this 3rd world airport. Oh, and all of the urinals in the men's bathroom were closed. Update... mass of people move toward the gate, still no announcement about the flight, or boarding. Standing in the cattle maze, no apparent zone boarding order at the moment. No attendants at the desk. Gate sign changes to another destination...

We arrived around midnight and found the airport quite small and easy to navigate. Check-in was fast, which was a plus, but there aren't many places to sit or rest comfortably — definitely not ideal for spending the night. There were only a few shops open, and the outside of the building isn’t particularly attractive. If you're arriving late or have a long layover, I’d recommend booking a nearby hotel instead of staying at the airport. It's functional for quick arrivals and departures, but not a place to linger.
Svetlana M — Google review
❗ I recommend allowing extra time and arriving early at Catania Airport, especially if you’re flying with Ryanair and need to check in a bag. We waited well over an hour just to drop off our luggage. Security, on the other hand, was fairly quick and smooth. The airport itself is quite small and seems to struggle with the number of passengers it handles. Surprisingly, the lounge was better than expected.
Sunny N — Google review
Horrible airport in all fronts! The route to get to the airport is scarily bad! A pretty sketchy neighborhood, with lots of tight streets and horrible drivers! A total chaos! The airport terminal looked more like a bus terminal! No signs in English!! And the WiFi did not work anywhere in the entire airport! So disappointing and frustrating!
Vahid S — Google review
Mediocre airport. Not much to rave about. Could be better adapted to older people and people in wheelchairs as some toilets are downstairs without elevators.
