With the view of Liberation Hall it will be a highlight of your social profile. Your trip with the ship will be accompanied by short stories about objects and places on both sides of the Danube told in both German and English language. Menu on the ship is not extended, but very well suited for sunny short trip. Staff is very pleasant and quick which makes ordering fast and efficient.

We visited Weisses Bräuhaus for lunch and had an absolutely fantastic experience. This place is not only a restaurant but also the oldest Weissbier brewery in Bavaria, with roots dating back to 1607, which adds an extra charm to the visit. We sat in the cozy beer garden, but I also peeked inside and was impressed by the stunning historical interior with its vaulted ceilings and authentic Bavarian atmosphere. The service was excellent – the staff, dressed in traditional costumes, were both professional and welcoming. The food was outstanding: the veal liver was probably the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The pork knuckle was just as impressive, with crispy skin and juicy, tender meat, while the chicken in lemon sauce was fresh and perfectly balanced. Weisses Bräuhaus combines unique history, authentic atmosphere, top-quality Bavarian cuisine, and its own famous Weissbier – a place I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Kelheim.

Very yummy dinner spot! This was recommended by our local city tour guide as a great spot. I ate the Peasants Feast and it was great! Also the white asparagus are amazing if they are in season. Busy place, but indoor and outdoor seating and 2 stories so we found a seat no problem.

There were many different house specials to choose from for meals, and they were all very delicious (especially the Kürbissuppe!). We stayed in the hotel above the restaurant/bakery/cake shop. We had a really big room. The included breakfast is pretty spectacular, but I wish there'd been (sparkling) water on the table too as a healthier alternative to orange juice. More people seemed to visit this place solely for the breakfast. WiFi worked quite well and we had a desk in the room. But it's very pricy to stay here!

I stayed there for 3 nights in July. Unfortunately I received the worst service from the receptionist ever. We we checked-in, we found one female socks under the table, I went to the reception and reported that very politely to a guy at reception, and all he said was: "OK". I said probably the cleaning staff didn't probably clean properly, and he said: "Yes, Maybe" and didn't even look at me while he was typing something in his computer. If your coming from road that's parallel to the Danube River. Once you're approaching the clock tower with arch, stop and dont pass through the arch. Make a left instead. That's where the reception is. I want to take the male housekeeper who helped me with the steps to get our stroller through the hallway. It is 5 minute walk to tourist information desk.

The regional Bavarian food was delicious and generously portioned, the fresh monastery beer is the best, and the prices are fair. The atmosphere is top-notch down to earth.

We visited here Saturday 10th October 2020, we did a 20km circular walk through woodland either side of the Danube to get here and back to Kelheim. However other options would obviously include driving or nicer would be to catch a boat from Kelheim. The Kloster occupies a beautiful location on a bend in the Danube with stunning towering rock cliffs and woodland, it's really beautiful. I understand that at this time the church is closed to visitors owing to COVID-19 and so we just had a beer and some soup at the restaurant and bar within the courtyard. Despite the incessant rain today the seating area was mostly covered and overhead heaters provided some warmth. The beer (we had an Asam Bock and a Hefe-Weisse) was excellent, the potato soup was very nice but served in a tiny bowl which really was a little insulating, we had to request for bread to go with it which was an extra and was served, one slice each, with no butter or margarine. The shop across the courtyard and the kiosk to the side of this outside area were both really tacky, however you could pick up beers, glassware and other beer related merchandise from the latter. In conclusion, fabulous beer and location but let down badly with food and tacky money making opportunities elsewhere.

The entire place is spotless, modern, and thoughtfully designed, making it a pleasure to spend time here whether you’re arriving or waiting for a flight. The terminal is full of high-quality shops that make the airport feel more like a high-end mall than just a travel hub. From duty-free to premium boutiques, there’s truly something for everyone. What really stood out to me was the Rolex store – not something you see in every airport, and it gives the place a very upscale feel. Beyond the shopping, the airport is easy to navigate, the signage is clear, and security is handled efficiently without long waits. I also appreciated the spacious layout and natural light, which made the whole experience relaxing. Overall, Munich Airport sets a high standard for cleanliness, comfort, and amenities. For a sense of comparison I'm comparing this against other airports in Germany and arguably other large hubs. it didn't come close to meeting expectations so here are some things to consider especially if you are flying to the United States. The good, entering the international terminal and passport control was very quick, certain country passports qualify for automated service. Past that it kinda goes downhill. More options to buy high end purses that food, even the little magazine stand/snack stores have limited options. If you want chocolate you're in luck, much if anything else forget it. Long corridors to flights and even restrooms are widely spaced apart. If this was a short layover flight maybe not so bad? 6 hour layover, not good. Entire place seems far below Frankfurt or even Stuttgart. At least it wasn't crowded.

From the moment I arrived, everything was well-organized, clean, and clearly signposted. Security checks were fast and professional, with friendly staff ensuring everything moved quickly. The terminals are modern and spacious, offering plenty of comfortable seating and natural light, which makes even long layovers pleasant. One of the standout features is the wide range of shopping and dining options – including several halal food choices, which was a huge plus. There are also relaxation areas, children’s play zones, and even a visitor park if you have extra time. Terminal 2 has quick and easy security and separate fast track for security for business and first class passengers. Lounges are found in both the main terminal and the satellite. There was a little chaos when drones caused evening flights to be cancelled, but the airport provided a many passengers with camp beds as nearby hotels filled quickly. There could have been more staff on to help as different instructions were given on the plate, at the gate and at the service centre. But in general my experience was very positive.
