It's lovely inside, but mainly it is in German. So I could only use Google translate and also read up online to understand it. The walk up to the top of the dome is a very narrow stairs but the view up in the dome is superb. Giving a 4 stars, cos I couldn't understand German.

The included breakfast is pretty spectacular, but I wish there'd been (sparkling) water on the table too as a healthier alternative to orange juice. More people seemed to visit this place solely for the breakfast. WiFi worked quite well and we had a desk in the room. But it's very pricy to stay here!

The Mittertor is one of Kelheim’s three medieval city gates, originally constructed in the 13th century as part of the town’s fortifications.
