Here are the top 20 places you should check out to get the best experience of your time in San Vicente. If you want to see more, visit our full list here.
1

Port Barton

Mentioned on
13 lists
Port Barton, located on Palawan, comes highly recommended by many. This small fishing village is secluded and nestled amidst lush jungle and towering mountains. Its rustic charm is evident in its sandy roads, modest shacks and houses, as well as a handful of local shops and eateries. Despite its simplicity, Port Barton's allure lies in its unspoiled natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere.
2

Bato ni Ningning

Mentioned on
8 lists
Bato ni Ningning is a popular spot just a short distance from San Vicente View Point. Despite offering similar views, it remains a favorite among tourists due to its stunning sunset ocean views and climbable rocky outposts that make for great photo opportunities. There are two different places to stop, each requiring an affordable entrance fee. The area features a mini store and cottages where visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery without any corkage fees.
Fantastic view of the beach, take some pesos with you as all the viewpoints entrance cost some (20). ( We just walked up and we were let in, but felt embarrassed asking for favors) We stayed in Peak View Resort, approx 20 minutes walk from this point accross the village. Beautiful culture shock walking through it. And the look out points are really spectacular from the hills. (You can have some refreshing stuff too, if you dont forget to carry some money with you)
Péter K — Google review
A beautifully manicured viewpoint offering some of the most stunning views on the island. Despite its remote location, it’s definitely worth the trip. Now that the road is fully paved, it’s not even a very hard journey to get here. A must-visit for breathtaking views!
André M — Google review
Bato ni Ningning is truly a breathtaking destination. The view is nothing short of magical and spectacular, offering a perfect blend of nature’s beauty and serenity. The stunning landscape, with its vast open skies and panoramic scenery, feels almost surreal. Whether you’re there to relax, take photos, or simply soak in the atmosphere, the experience is unforgettable. It’s a place that leaves you in awe and makes you appreciate the wonders of nature even more. Definitely a must-visit!
Donnie G — Google review
I hired a guide from Port Barton to have a motorcycle photo Safari and ended up here before we turned around. It was the most fantastic motorcycle trip I've ever been on, we went the back roads where tourists never go, found beaches that were empty, and some that were just for fishermen. Precisely the kind of tour that's not offered anywhere. The fellow who rents motorcycles and scooters close to where the buses are in Port Barton is the man, Dhan. He and I became good friends after an entire day almost 8 hours of motorcycling off-road on road and some good bonding between two dudes from different places. An amazing experience.
Wesley S — Google review
Beautiful spot with a stunning view of Long Beach! Bato ni Ning Ning offers a peaceful overlook and is definitely worth a quick stop. There’s only a minimal entrance fee, which is great. Just take note — it’s quite far from the town proper. I initially thought it was nearby, so be prepared for a longer ride. Still, the view makes it worth the trip!
Mark O — Google review
The place is clean, there's a small store in the entrance where you pay 25php to enter the place and also buy some snack if your hungry. P.s. there's no toilet in the area, better do your business before going there.
Mary D — Google review
Breathtaking panoramic view of San Vicente long beach and colorful sunset
Cris M — Google review
We went there Monday after lunch. Due to extreme heat of the sun maybe other visitors chose to visit at almost sundown. We'd so much fun in climbing the big boulders. If you're afraid of heights, it's not advisable for you to climb. But for us, it was the most memorable experience to view the entire @long beach and chasing the beautiful sunset.

Twin Reef

Mentioned on
6 lists
Scenic spot
Twin Reef, situated in San Vicente, is a stunning destination renowned for its magnificent underwater scenery and rich marine biodiversity. This hidden treasure allows visitors to explore two spectacular coral reefs teeming with a variety of fish and other sea creatures. The clear waters make it ideal for snorkeling and diving, providing adventurers with an opportunity to closely observe the colorful corals and unique aquatic life.
Highly recommend doing the 5 island hop from Port Barton beach, cost is 1500 php which includes an amazing lunch on one of the islands. The boats leave at 9am and come back at 4pm.
Ben C — Google review
Very very crowded! People do not respect the coral at all! Even the local people don't respect it, not just tourists. You can see it was absolutely astonishing a while ago, now most of it is sadly dead 😢
Vaidotas D — Google review
First time snorkeling. So amazing, so many nice corals and fish. I enjoyed it. Sad I don't have underwater camera.
Joe R — Google review
This was the highlight of our island hopping tour, since the coral was some of the most magnificent I have ever seen! Truly like an underwater jungle. It has no significant fish life, and the water goes from murky to clear, but certainly a spot worth stopping at.
Norm Y — Google review
Amazing place to visit, absolutely gorgeous and healthy reef. This was our 5th stop of our tour. Please be sure to either be a good enough swimmer or wear a life jacket so that you do not step on the reef because there are plenty of spots one can reach the coral.
Berta P — Google review
This was my first time seeing huge corals, corals are full of life, i would love to come back here again someday.
Edwin T — Google review
Google maps location is accurate, in case you want to kayak here. Ask some boat to tie your kayak (you need to ask for a rope in the kayak rental shop) or tie it to the boey (a big white box floating in the right side of the Reef). This is a pretty big area of corals, very diverse, beautiful, plenty of fish. It's a healthy one, it doesn't look damaged at all. This reef is way more beautiful than the Fantastic Reef, so if you are kayaking I don't think it's worth going the the Fantastic one unless you want to rest on the beach afterwards. I'd say is one of the best I've snorkeled so far in my trip around Panglao-Coron-El Nido. Wasn't expecting such a beauty.
Patricil C — Google review
Incredible!!! I had no idea that Palawan had this many types and colors of coral. The different species of fish, including clownfish. Make sure you bring a GoPro or equivalent underwater camera while snorkeling.

Maxima Island beach, also known as Albaguen Island, is located adjacent to Exotic Island and can be reached by walking or swimming during low tide. The beach boasts a long stretch of white sand and clear, shady waters teeming with marine life such as turtles, sea snakes, clownfish, anemones, and corals. Visitors can enjoy the pristine water and perfect sand while exploring the hidden second beach for a secluded paradise experience.
The other side of the island is still pristine. It has a nice viewing area where you can see the surrounding islands.

Pamuayan Falls

Mentioned on
3 lists
Nature & Parks
Waterfalls
Embark on an unforgettable adventure to Pamuayan Falls, a stunning oasis nestled in the lush landscapes of Palawan. The journey begins with a scenic hike that lasts just over an hour from the village center, offering breathtaking views along the way. As you approach the falls, you'll traverse pristine jungle paths and cross charming stepping stones while following the river's gentle flow. This hidden gem is perfect for nature lovers seeking tranquility away from city life.
Fun experience at this falls, First you need to register at their head center. The staff doesn't guide you so you need to do a 15 min hike by yourself. The trail is quite the adventure, crossing small rivers, climbing rocks and walk a path of man-made stairs. The falls is about 30 feet or more in height, not sure about the exact depth length of the water. Leeches can be found according to their signs and the locals. The water is slightly foggy with a mix of brown sand and mossy rocks. Overall I recommend going to this place, 8/10
Pol M — Google review
A truly beautiful waterfall. However, in August 2025 the road leading to it was under construction, so the way there was quite rough. We managed it on a motorbike, but it wasn’t easy — for inexperienced drivers I would recommend taking a tuk-tuk or simply walking. From the spot where Google Maps directed us, it took about 30 minutes on foot. The path is well maintained, and they really take good care of the area. You walk through the forest along a trail, so I would recommend wearing sturdy shoes, though if you’re careful you can also manage in flip-flops. The waterfall itself was really nice, and you can swim there, which felt like a great reward. There is a voluntary entrance fee; I gave 150 pesos. Considering how well the place is maintained, I think it’s money well deserved. The way back is along the same path.
Vendy M — Google review
I walked from Port Barton which was just over 1 hour and very hot but perfect for me. I gave a donation, the amount is up to you. There was no pressure. The last 15 minutes to the falls were super nice and then the falls were perfect. Not huge, not impressive but the cool water was a delight. I was there at about 9:30 and there were not many people. I would recommend it for a refreshing swim if you have time during your visit to Port Barton.
Eleanor N — Google review
There is a lady called Rose at the first shop that sells cold drinks and beer. She is a guide as well and escorted me to the Falls. Rocky pathway, and you go through water streams so plan accordingly. I went bare feet but little rocks quite sensitive. About 20 minutes slow walk, then a very refreshing swim. You can swim to right under the waterfall and have a water massage. Donation box on entrance to pathway. 50 to 100 is the norm.
Jan B — Google review
The walk to the waterfalls is an incredible experience, first, you’ll need to arrange transportation to the waterfalls area. From there, it’s about 15 minute walk through the forest and small streams. It’s an unforgettable adventure! At the end, you can swim right under the waterfall itself. The whole trip takes maximum 2 hours - getting there, walking , swimming, and enjoying the breathtaking views. Make sure to bring special water shoe, as you will need them to cross the streams and navigate the rocky area around the waterfall, don’t forget water and a towel too. Thai activity is free but accept donation - 50PHP will do
Anita E — Google review
When we arrived at local started walking with us. When we registered we put in a donation. Got to the falls and the local told us no swimming. When we left the local then asked for payment as he guided us. The falls were nice but that did put a little sour taste on them.
Raylene P — Google review
It's about a 15-minute hike to the falls from the main road, although people do this in sandals and even flip flops, I wouldn't recommend it, wear proper shoes and maybe even pick up a hiking stick from the side of the road, there's plenty of bamboo around.
Wesley S — Google review
Awesome little spot! A short pretty hike into an amazing spot with decent sized waterfall. Magical spot. Great place for a cool swim. Bring some food for a couple of starving little dogs too if you can. They were so super sweet but were absolute skin and bones and starving 😥 Especially couple just before the turn off and stream crossing to start of the hike.

With its lush forests and hidden coves boasting stunning turquoise waters teeming with diverse marine life, it’s an ideal escape from bustling crowds. Visitors can enjoy serene beaches often to themselves, creating a perfect backdrop for relaxation. Although the island lacks electricity, the warmth of its locals makes up for it.

Alimanguan Beach

Mentioned on

Beach
Alimanguan Beach is a hidden gem that offers travelers an authentic glimpse into the local Filipino culture. Located at the northern end of Long Beach, this serene destination is perfect for those seeking tranquility away from bustling tourist spots. The beach boasts soft white sand and gentle waters, making it ideal for leisurely strolls or simply soaking up the sun. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking sunsets while lounging in hammocks on their balconies, with stunning views of vibrant colors painting the sky.
Beautiful white sand beach with gradual depth. The beach front is wide with fine sand up to the water. There are no rocks or stones. The beach is on the edge of a quaint fishing village where the fishermen can be seen going about their daily routine early in the morning. There is hardly anyone swimming on the beach. The sunsets at Alimanguan are spectacular with a wonderful aray of colors in the sky and sea. The island outcrop called the Tandol completes the landscape making the beach extremely unique. People can swim to it. The locals go there to cast their lines to fish or catch crabs. It is a highly recommended beach to go to. There are a few establishments on the beach that offer food and refreshments.
Antonio H — Google review
Beautiful and well preserved fishing village next to long beach. There's a new resort along this beach called Lazuli. You can see the rock islet that has a cave. Instagramable photos.

Inandeng River Cruise

Mentioned on

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with the Inandeng River Cruise, a picturesque journey through the heart of Barangay New Agutaya in San Vicente, Palawan. The river, named after its two sitios—Inarayan and Landing—stretches 2.5 kilometers and is perfect for small boats and kayaks. While locals often navigate just 1.9 kilometers of this serene waterway, it offers a glimpse into the daily lives of fishermen who call this area home.

Ausan Beach Front Cottages and Restaurant

Mentioned on
2 lists
Guest house
Restaurant
Ausan Beach Front Cottages and Restaurant is a charming beachfront resort located in the heart of Port Barton village, making it an ideal getaway for solo adventurers or larger groups. The tropical cottages offer spacious accommodations equipped with air-conditioning, cozy bedding, and coffee-making facilities. Some rooms even feature private porches or balconies to enjoy the stunning sunset views. Guests can indulge in delicious meals at the on-site restaurant while soaking up the waterfront ambiance.
Best rooms are definitely the ones on top of the restaurant - with semi-private balcony that overlooks the beach + gives unimpeded view of the sunset! The room itself is okay, rustic with large artworks that may be an acquired taste but definitely interesting. Bathroom is spacious with very good water pressure. Some fixtures may be up for updating, but understandable as wear and tear is quite fast with salty air & water.
Claudine T — Google review
I think the location is the best part of this place, it is right on the beach. However the rooms need updating, the linens were awful and it didn’t feel super clean. The staff were friendly and breakfast was ok. But overall you’re paying for the view, the rooms are very basic and like I say really need some attention.
Ella W — Google review
If you're coming to Port Barton make sure you stay at Ausan Beach Front. The staff will bring a smile to your day. Thanks to Zyreme, Ailene, Marjorie for the wonderful welcome. Chilled, relaxed family vibe. Free breakfast was a bonus and the food menu is delicioua. Easy to book island hopping tours. Well located on the beachfront. Don't swim in the sea as there are jellyfish.
Ashleigh K — Google review
Stunning beautiful front beach hotel so nice and friendly staff, also they have the best and tasty Filipino food yummy😋😋 I will surely miss it see you next time I'll come back surely. Keep up the good work 😘
Ruben D — Google review
Best location in the beach in Port Barton. The rooms are okay but the aircon barely works. There is mold growing in the window unit. The room aircon should be updated to split type. We had to request maid service. Starlink Wi-Fi was good most of the time . Not peaceful and quiet because of live band and noisy staff in resto.
Bill K — Google review
The most amazing venue and location. Right on the beach. You have a full view from the fining area. Free breakfast depending on booking, great food, lovely staff, all very friendly and accommodating. They arrange tours and have massage on site. Good WiFi, air-conditioning works lovely. Highly recommended.
Jan B — Google review
Extremely basic rooms - not worth it unless you cannot find any other options. It's been our worst accomodation in the Philippines. You cannot use the beach - the water is filled with jellyfish and bathing is prohibited. Bathroom smells really bad and looks very dirty. We found receipt from the previous guests - that's how well they clean the room. Be very careful with the gas water heating plant! It leaks a lot of gas and you can get intoxicated while showering. To avoid running out of air leave the bathroom door open while showering. We did not like the restaurant food at all - very basic, lacking salt and taste. Massage was ok the first time but second time the lady interupted the massage 10 times to play with her kid and finished before the hour passed. Cleaning is lacking in shared spaces and they only clean the room if you ask and leave them your room key. Rooms are very small, no space to deposit clothes or anything else. Every night neighbors burn all sorts of residues and garbage so you will never have clean air during nightime. Wifi is almost useless and I could not get any decent signal with Globe Communications. The staff was kind and tried to help us in most cases which we highly appreciate.
Idei C — Google review
I had a standard room with fan and for the price it’s good quality. Spacious room and clean. I only didn’t have hot water. Location is great at the beach. Staff seemed a bit uninterested and massage wasn’t great either.

Long Beach in San Vicente, Palawan is a stunning 14.7-kilometer stretch of fine white sand and calm waters, flanked by coconut palms and dotted with moored boats. It's known for its tranquility and is perfect for leisurely walks along the shore. Accessible from San Vicente Palawan Airport via a short tricycle ride, Long Beach offers a peaceful escape compared to other beaches in Palawan.
Stunningly beautiful. I love this place. We enjoyed it here. We rode the motorcycle near the shoreline. It's a long way though from Port Barton.
Senyoref — Google review
Looking for a calm, safe, and stunning beach? Long Beach in Brgy. New Agutaya is it. The waves are chill, the sand is compact and fine, and the water’s so clean it feels like a dream. You won’t worry about drifting, just float, relax, and soak it in. Best part? Swimming while the sun sets. It’s peaceful, picture-perfect, and a memory you’ll carry for life.
Dexter A — Google review
The beach is nice and clean. No people when we went there today at 4pm. But only thing is that so many sandflies. I can't stay longer.
Joe R — Google review
Beautiful beach next to San Vicente. Very peaceful compared to other beaches in Palawan. We spent a whole day here and were basically alone, probably a couple more people. Many palms offer plenty of shade as well! Not many amenities around, so bring your own food/drinks.
Tommaso R — Google review
A beautiful beach. You really can enjoy the place because it’s not crowded. It’s peaceful and a nice place to relax.
Cheet H — Google review
Longest beach in the Philippines - Long Beach, San Vicente, Palawan. I love bringing our dogs here for a morning or an afternoon walk. Sunset is pretty when the sky is clear... My dog, Kel, enjoys this beach as much as I do and I would say that you get the privilege to enjoy the whole beach all for yourself. Also, if you have a motorbike you can bring it with you... only it if it's lowtide and you can drive from Turublien all the way to the end. Best time to visit is during Summer or August (there's something about August that makes the surrounding more colourful and peaceful - IMO) If you are planning to visit then please don't forget to bring your swimwear and take a dip 😉
Sannyel M — Google review
One of the really pristine beaches in the Philippines and lets hope it stays that way with all the upcoming developments that are on-going. Beautiful soft sand (still virgin, so beware of nik niks - don't scratch); Gradual sloping of the beach, nice waters and accessible waves for swimming and beginner surfing. Best place to witness the most beautiful beach sunsets too!
Patrick T — Google review
It's not crowded, public and a long range of shore that you can explore. The locals are very nice. Not commercial. So you can have all day chill and have your peace by yourself. They also have turtle conservation programs. San vicente is one of only two eco towns in the Philippines. Island hoping, beach chilling, waterfall adventure or over looking mountain hills is what they offee..

Mojitos RestoBar

Bar
Restaurant
Located in Port Barton, San Vicente, Mojitos RestoBar is the perfect place to unwind after a day of island hopping. The cozy and relaxing atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to enjoy their impressive refreshments and excellent cocktail list. With impeccable service and a laid-back ambiance, it offers one of the best dining experiences in the area. The menu features must-try dishes like fish tacos, poutine, and satay.
Very special place in Port Barton. We loved the vibe, beautiful lush jungle feeling, complete with hand fans. Arriving to a small welcome cocktail was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the food, especially the seared tuna which was big enough for the two of us. Can be reached with a quick 50 peso tuk tuk ride from the town. Very reasonable prices, great food, drinks and friendly atmosphere.
Simon G — Google review
Best food we ate in Port barton. The place is beautiful and unique, staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Really recommend it although a bit far from central - totally worth the trip!
Shelly T — Google review
This place is an absolute gem! It has such a fantastic atmosphere, a very chill vibe and phenomenal service. The cocktails were delicious, especially the mojitos, which come in a variety of flavours. They had a lot of fresh fruit in them and were incredibly refreshing. The food is fresh and so tasty. Their menu options made deciding difficult, but everything tasted amazing. Such a great place to go!
Vanessa S — Google review
Tucked away in the jungle, the restaurant is illuminated by torches and candles, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff treated us with the utmost kindness and hospitality. The tuna was a standout dish, but everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. One of the most unique aspects of Mojitos is their dog sanctuary, which is home to over 140 dogs rescued from all over Palawan. It's heartwarming to see how much care and attention is given to these animals, and it speaks volumes about the character of the owners and staff. I highly recommend Mojitos to anyone visiting Port Barton. The combination of excellent food, warm hospitality, and the opportunity to support a great cause make this restaurant a must-visit destinatio
Barbara C — Google review
Mojitos is hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining at! The food is simply amazing, and it's clear that the owners, Rob and Jackie, put a lot of love and care into every dish that comes out of their kitchen. From the moment you walk in the door, you're greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The decor is charming and cozy, and the music is always just right - not too loud, but lively enough to keep things interesting. But the real star of the show is the food. Every dish was made with the freshest ingredients, and the flavors are simply out of this world. Whether you're in the mood for something spicy and savory, or sweet and indulgent, you're sure to find something on their menu that will tickle your taste buds. But what really sets Mojitos apart from other restaurants is the personal touch that Rob and Jackie bring to every aspect of the dining experience. They took the time to get to know their customers, and they went above and beyond to make sure that everyone who comes through their doors felt like family. In short, I can't recommend Mojitos enough! If you're looking for a truly unforgettable dining experience, you owe it to yourself to check out this amazing restaurant. Thanks Rob and Jackie for creating such a special place!
Sean S — Google review
Great atmosphere, service and food! From the moment you walk down the torch lit path leading into the restaurant til you walk out again you will have a great experience! The atmosphere was cosy, with great music and very well decorated interior. The waiters were tentative and easy to get a hold of. The menu was delicious and mouthwatering tasty. The portion size was great. Should I ask for one change it would be that the protein to carb ratio was a little more in balance - so that there should be more meat. Love the place. Well definitely recommend and will definitely be back!
Philip H — Google review
Great place with delicious food! I've been there twice and if I ever come back to Port Barton, I will definitely visit the restaurant. We tried many dishes from the menu and none of them disappointed my expectations. Thank you

Jambalaya Cajun Cafe

Restaurant
Nestled along the beach, Jambalaya Cajun Cafe is a charming little spot that captures the essence of cozy dining. Owned by a Scottish gentleman affectionately known as "Easy" and his Filipina wife, this trendy eatery boasts an inviting atmosphere adorned with witty quotes on its walls. Despite its small size, featuring just three tables, it offers a delightful menu filled with homemade delights like freshly brewed coffee, artisanal bread, and floral local honey.
Tasty fresh fish and veggies in the fish jambalaya special. Cool gigantic tables in front.

Pros 1. The waitress is friendly. She always smiles. Cons 1. The waitress doesn't understand English well. 2. Cafe latte was too light. (150 pesos) 3. Like everyone says foods are over priced. 4. Chairs are uncomfortable.
Miya Y — Google review
Pretty decent food. Jambalaya was good but tasted a bit like a pasta sauce. Pumpkin curry soup was tasty. Mango shake was one of the best I've had. Prices are a bit expensive however.
Daniel L — Google review
Fake "special of the day" I have taken the sea food jambalaya without notice the lady I wanted the special of the day. I had been charged the regular price because the portion size is bigger. So, where is the special? Very disapointed by the jambalaya, lookd more than an rice tomato sauce with a few fish and nd seafood. I do a pretty much better one! Clearly a dishonest and overpriced place. But nice location and live music.
Sylvie B — Google review
Happy Hour: 13:00-19:00 Cocktails just 100 php(2€/$) Nice place. The cocktails aren't that good tho just cheap

Nice place with chill vibes, a lot of interesting books and good food! Right by the beach so you can hear the waves crashing.

Friendly staff but don't try their cajun rice specialty dish. It was a huge portion of rice with ketchup and some pieces of fish and vegetables.

Miam Miam Glou Glou French Restaurant

Permanently Closed
Restaurant
Miam Miam Glou Glou French Restaurant may not catch your eye from the outside, but it's a hidden gem in a location undergoing development. The food, including homemade bread and French-style dishes, shows promise for this spot. Visitors regret not discovering it sooner as it offers the best dining experience in Port Barton with delectable seafood and well-presented dishes. The restaurant is known for its delicious crepes, fish, and even custom-made cakes.
I only regret I didn't find this place earlier. It's by far the best place to eat in the Port Barton. At least the fish, squids, shrimps, and the curry. Mind-blowing. Well presented as well, you get the bowl for bones, and even the lime-water to wash you hand. I wish the place will stay like this so I can come again next year.

During our stay in Port Barton we ate several times at Miam Miam Glou Glou. Everything was delicious, the crepes, the fishes and even the cake that I asked them to prepare for my wife's birthday. The French owner is very nice and Carla the waitress is adorable. Very good food for an affordable price

Hello travelers! From outside the restaurant doesn't attract but taking into consideration that the location was on "waiting" for new and double widening ongoing project, it's difficult to invest on this starting serious tourism development location. The food was on my test, and of course the homemade bread too. I wished to stay longer to test other items on the Menu. I'm pretty sure that the futur for MMGG will be great with this attractive French styles dishes. But why I didn't test the tajine ?? 🤔 I blame my self...

A piece of France in the heart of Port Barton, with delicious cheap food, and lovely staff!

Really cheap good food. We had the ratatouille and vegetable curry and both were nice. Our bill, including a beer and coke, come to ₱350.

Horrible service. We came here quite hungry and looking forward to a good meal. We waited between 60 and 90 minutes for our meal. We asked them about our food a few times, just to get answers like "it will be soon" and "just wait a bit". No apology at any point.

This restaurant is the best one in Port Barton, his coco cocktail is amazing and I simply had the best tuna ceviche (kinilaw) in my entire life. I recommend highly !

Poor service. Poor food. I ate tuna pasta and was the worst in whole Palawan, very little sauce and didn't hve taste. Quite expensive for what they offers. I just arrived and i will not come again. I hope they improve it.

Oasis Port Barton

Hotel
Restaurant
Nestled just 300 meters from the beach, Oasis Port Barton offers a laid-back retreat perfect for families and travelers alike. This charming hotel boasts an array of amenities including complimentary Wi-Fi, airport transfer services, and free parking for those arriving by car. Guests can unwind in spacious family rooms that overlook a lush garden and are equipped with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and modern bathrooms featuring rain showers.
Rooms were spacious and clean. There were some ants but that is expected considering the remote location. It was only a 2 minutes walk from the front, the hotel allowed up to check in free of charge at 10:30am as the room was ready. The staff were all very polite and friendly! They also helped organise transport to the bus terminal for free. Breakfast was one item off the menu, there were plenty of options and it was very good! Would highly recommend

We arrived without any particular expectations and were pleasantly surprised in every way. From the very beginning, we were warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink. Our budget room was a bit smaller and more simply equipped than the others, but it was absolutely sufficient for our needs as backpackers – and turned out to be a real little oasis of comfort. Set apart from the other rooms, it felt almost like a private bungalow with a charming terrace surrounded by greenery. The pool may not be large, but it was very clean and perfectly adequate. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always greeted us with a smile. Breakfast was varied and very delicious. All in all, the value for money was excellent. We would highly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay here again.

This was by far the best accommodation we had during our entire stay in the Philippines! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful in every situation. We booked a boat trip, a scooter, and a tuk-tuk to the station through them, and everything went smoothly. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, and every day they asked if we wanted housekeeping. The breakfast was absolutely delicious – the best we had in the Philippines – with a wide variety of choices. The pool area was great for relaxing and enjoying the sun. We highly recommend this place and truly appreciate everything – thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Hotel Oasis was a great find in the laid-back town of Port Barton. While nothing in the area is particularly fancy, this hotel stood out as one of the few with a swimming pool—which was a huge bonus, especially since it was jellyfish season and we couldn’t swim in the ocean. The pool made a big difference to our experience! The staff were friendly, warm, and always ready to help. We also really enjoyed the food at their restaurant—fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. For anyone visiting Port Barton and looking for comfort, good service, and a relaxing atmosphere, Hotel Oasis is a solid choice. ❤️ The South Africans

"Oasis Resort in Port Barton is absolutely amazing! The moment we arrived, we were greeted with the best welcome drinks I’ve ever had—so refreshing and perfect after long land traveling. The staff are beyond accommodating and always smiling, ready to help with anything you need. The place itself is stunning, with a really relaxing ambiance and great amenities that make you feel spoiled. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. Truly the name says it all—it’s a real oasis in Palawan. Highly recommend staying here if you want an extraordinary experience for our day 1!

A really lovely boutique resort with a very beautiful and welcoming ambience, exceptional service and great food and cocktails at the resort restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay here and we can only highly recommend this place. The breakfast was super yummy and it had a very wide selection of options. The owners are a very friendly Swiss and a Filipino couple, so the menu at the resort restaurant marries the dishes from both cuisines very well. In fact, in my opinion the owners did a fantastic job by building this business from the ground up and for making it what it is today. A big thank you to the lovely Swiss owner and to the amazing staff at Oasis. Thank you very much for looking after us so well and for making our stay really enjoyable, trouble free, memorable and very pleasant. 10 out of 10. Thank you for having us Oasis Port Barton Resort. A magic place. Lots of love from the fam in NZ.

Kusinero del Barrio Philippines

$$$$cheap
Filipino restaurant
Nestled just a stone's throw from the beach, Kusinero del Barrio is a charming restaurant that beautifully captures the essence of Filipino culture through its decor. With bamboo accents and coconut shell embellishments adorning the walls, it offers an inviting atmosphere where guests can even opt for floor seating on cozy cushions in the back. The menu is a delightful mix of local favorites and international dishes, all reasonably priced.
The place has a lovely atmosphere with artsy and stylish decorations. The food is diverse, we went there a few times and each time we were satisfied. The staff are friendly and attentive. They have fresh fruits and you can tell they always use good fresh products for the food. They also have a few hammocks where you can chill. Thank you, definitely recommend!
Aria L — Google review
We had a great meal at Kusinero del Barrio in Port Barton. The corn soup was smooth and naturally sweet, while the lomi was hearty, flavorful, and full of fresh ingredients. The highlight was the adobo chicken with pineapple — tender meat in a perfectly balanced sweet-savory sauce with a tropical twist. Cozy place, friendly service, and truly tasty Filipino food!

Best place in Port Barton for vegetarian and vegan food but also for meat and fish lovers! Nice interior and warm welcoming staff! Amazing food quality and cheap prices! We had "spicy garlic tofu" and "tofu adobo in pineapple" - absolutly delicious!!!

A very nice place to dine, and if you love arts like any handicrafts this decorative restaurant is perfect for you,Also you can chill with their hammock while waiting for your order, The staff there was very attentive, and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious with a generous portion 😀 indeed everything is almost perfect. Definitely a must!🤎
Kayce E — Google review
On one hand, an extremely beautiful and nicely decorated place with quite a surprising choice of vegan options. On the other hand, I didn’t like the food much. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. The sauce tasted too generic, the vegetables in the dish turned out to be only potatoes, and the rice was unevenly overcooked and dry.
Manuel L — Google review
Good and decent food and reasonable price. A must visit place to eat if you’re around in port Barton.
Chandeboy M — Google review
An incredibly authentic and good restaurant. With much love the food is prepared here and the friendliness of the staff is overwhelming! Rarely in the Philippines get such a good meal, the ingredients are fresh and the preparation sensationally good. Was here several times for breakfast as well as dinner. Always excellent taste. The prices are more than good for Port Barton. Probably one of the cheapest restaurants in this area. Didn’t pay more than 300peso for a dish and tea. What I definitely recommend is anything with fish! Simply outstanding. Otherwise, the cheese garlic baguette stands out as well as the pancakes and the fresh mangos. A big thank you goes out to the owners who are so friendly and accommodating and advise you on all your needs! Will miss this place as soon as I have to leave Port Barton.
Nik B — Google review
We walked in and the whole place was so real with a wonderful atmosphere that made you think 'oh yes!'. Food was a great taste medley and well executed. The tuna tagaliog sauce was rich and delicious. We made one small mistake in forgetting ask for the tuna red in the middle. Filipino standard is cooked all through which loses flavour - our mistake not theirs ! The service is fabulous and looks like a happy family. Saw them all from grandparents to infant grandchildren. The menu, our bill and lots of photos attached. Very highly recommended. Loved the place!!

Nestled in the heart of Puerto Princesa, Olive Crib Bar and Restaurant—now known as Flavoroso—offers a delightful culinary experience that captures the essence of local flavors. Despite its name change, many still fondly refer to it as Olive's Crib. Upon arrival, you might find yourself pleasantly surprised by the inviting atmosphere created by the owner who welcomes guests with warmth.
best restaurant i found in Port Barton. Had my first ever beef bulalo here. it's incredible! this broth would be perfect if you're feeling ill. the bone marrow dissolved into the clear broth and ended up as delicious sparkling fat jewels of deliciousness. the staff were exceptionally friendly... the chefs even stopped to chat in passing. such a great restaurant. we also had the sting ray curry and shanghai lumpia (spring rolls). you should definitely try the beef bulalo. the beef falls off the bone... I have included the menu. this review was written in december 2024

Best philipinos food we had Generous portions and outstanding quality We stayed in Port barton 3 days and we ate 3 times there, never disappointed Sizzling tuna and coconut milk stingray were amazing Really recommended
Michele M — Google review
The food is amazing and it's been the best eating experience I've had in all of Port Barton. No flies, no dogs waiting under my table, no inconveniences. Just pure focus on my food, and oh my, it is amazing! I went by myself then brought 3 other friends and they all thought it was great. I recommend the tuna or the shrimp platter. It can be pricier than other places by a tiny bit, but I promise you the value is worth it! Try it once, and you'll be eating here your entire stay.
Thomas C — Google review
Best food we have had in Port Barton. The sting Ray is unbeatable. Like a Thai green curry type dish. Staff are very friendly and service is great. Will return probably every day while here haha.
Dan U — Google review
It's known as Olive's Crib, however the name was changed into Flavoroso, this is what you'll find on the map now. Many people will tell you the old name still, it's even visible outside but the new menu shows the new name too. We arrived late evening, around 8:30pm and believed it's closed. Light was on and owner seating outside welcoming us. It was not the best impression, as we were the only guests, but once they started cooking, a wonderful smell of butter and garlic spread around. The food was very tasty, fresh made and a bug portion even good for sharing, had seafood. One minus is that we had to ask for service water, which we got fast and the lady gave us one glass only? Anyway, absolutely recommendable, a must to visit.

Great food and atmosphere, though not cheap. Lovely vibes with the mix of Bossa Nova covers and reggae tunes on the stereo. After my lunch I even drank a beer and lied in the hammock for an hour.

Mai Tai Beach Bar Port Barton

Restaurant
Asian restaurant
Happy Bar is a popular spot in Port Barton known for its great atmosphere and location. While the food may not be exceptional, it's the perfect place to enjoy a drink at sunset. The bar offers Happy Hour deals, including free rum and pineapple, 2-for-1 cocktails, and a complimentary rum and coke with your first beer order. Visitors praise the friendly staff, stunning sunset views, and tasty Happy Beers. Additionally, the bar is pet-friendly with adorable dogs on-site.
We were recommended to come here to watch sunset on the beach and it did not disappoint. Far better than Barton bistro further up the beach. The cocktails at happy hour were great, Very strong leaving us stumbling home with a smile on our face! Great service and a great view

We heard a lot of buzz about this place and visited without much expectations. But the place turned out to be very nice. We watched our first sunset in Port Barton from here accompanied by good music and good food. The prices are decent with Happy-Hour offers which run from Sunset onwards. The food was good but lacked vegetarian options. The drinks were nice and fresh. Service was very good. Overall a good place to spend watching the sunset. They have liver performances on mostbof the days.

Great beach location and sunset spot. Food is nice and huge portion of Chicken Noodles. Beer is good. Current happy hour offer is 3 x Beers for 300 peso and get 3 free, which is a steal.

Great atmosphere, perfect spot on the beach with amazing views- plenty of cocktails and food options. My friend and I got the chicken curry and boneless chicken and thoroughly enjoyed them both. Cost around ₽380 per meal.

One of the best spots for sunsets! 😍 My friend and I enjoyed their happy hr from 4-7pm and only spent 1k each for foods and 4 sets of cocktails. 🍸🍹Though their fries went soggy after a while, their chicken curry and chicken fillet were good. They also had a live band which completed the nice atmosphere. Staff were attentive and quick to serve you your food and drinks. Highly recommended! 💯😀

The food is good! Best maki rolls you’ll get on the beach! The cocktails are b1t1! We didnt know and had a good time! Place is clean and staff are friendly. Our day drinks were definitely so good!
Claudia S — Google review
Calm place at the end of the beach. Good food. Service was nice and accomodating with some minor symptoms of short term memory lost.
Michał U — Google review
The food is alright but the calamari and grilled squid stood out. They know how to cook them well. If you prefer your drinks with stronger alcohol, I recommend the frozen cocktails. Although the other ones are flavorful, it's not just strong enough. Come for happy hour though and they'll make up for it with the frozen cocktails. It's simple but gives you the buzz at a cost-efficient price. They also have an entertaining fire dance and drum set in the evening! Would recommend it as well.

Ayette's Bamboo Balai Balai

Restaurant
Ayette's Bamboo Balai Balai is a charming family-run restaurant nestled along the main road near the beach in Port Barton. This cozy eatery offers an array of local dishes, including sinigang, chicken BBQ, curry, and stuffed squid—all served in delightful bamboo and nipa huts that create a relaxed dining atmosphere. With prices ranging from P70 to P100 (approximately $1.4 to $2 USD), it stands out as one of the most budget-friendly options in the area.
Only came for food but it was great. A quiet family run spot with fantastic food. The chicken adobo was superb! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a more chilled spot for dinner and the cheapest beers in town.
Kei B — Google review
I stayed here way back in 2009 when Port Barton was still a quiet, off-the-beaten-path village. At that time, they had just built their first bungalow, which cost a fraction of today’s price. While the accommodation has gotten much more expensive, the restaurant is still a great place to eat. Food prices are similar to other spots in town—on the pricey side—but the quality is good. Plus, they serve the cheapest beer in Port Barton, which is obviously a bonus!
André M — Google review
We only came for food and found it so delicious that we came back for lunch and dinner every day of our stay in Port Barton. Meals are fresh, service is great and the prices are also pretty good. We highly recommend chicken tinola, a clear gingery soup and also the pork afritada. We can’t get enough of these dishes!
María V — Google review
Ended up here as our other accommodation overbooked - we think is a scam to fill this place that is horrible. We had a hut with thin walls and windows that didn’t close so it was impossible to sleep with the noise from the hostel bar opposite and street. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows old, flat and smelly. The curtains were almost transparent so the room was lit all night with the opposite hut porch light. The bathroom was filthy, didn’t even have a toilet sit.
Sean B — Google review
Very chill/ nice place. Ate here pretty much daily, sometimes twice. Always super friendly, food is good, prices are nice as well. I liked the chicken curry the most and the filipino breakfasts. I forgot to say bye, sorry about that but thanks for having me

I can't say something about the rooms, but me and my Wife really enjoyed the food there! The food is absolutely good for that Price! I had Chicken Curry, Pork Afritada with Rice, loved it's not Chop Chop Meat.. nice Chicken Breast and lean Pork Meat! My wife had grilled Fish and Squid Adobo and she enjoyed it too! Fair Price for good Food! Ok, need to change a bit.. ordered Pork Schnitzel today... there's no Information about it's including Fries.. so ordered Fries extra.. and the Schnitzel was not good, you get pieces of meat in bread crumbs.. completely dry.. can't recommend that! My Wife had Shrimps with rice, that was really delicious..
Lukas U — Google review
I read a few reviews that portion size is quite small and unfortunately this is true. However the food both times (boneless chicken curry and stir fried chicken & vegetables) were fantastic so I didn’t mind too much. Plus it’s reasonably priced. Staff were friendly.
Luke B — Google review
Food was really good, we had the pork sisig and pancit canton, both were delicious. When we got there they were full but they got out a table and chairs and managed to accommodate us. Really good service. Portions were the perfect size and I thought the price was fair compared to other places in the Philippines.

Marina Terrace Restaurant

Temporarily Closed
Restaurant
Marina Terrace Restaurant is a hidden gem that offers breathtaking views of the bay, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a stunning sunset while savoring delicious meals. The diverse menu features everything from tacos and fish and chips to flavorful curries and traditional British roast dinners on Sundays. The warm hospitality provided by the Welsh hosts, Beth and Kieran, adds to the inviting atmosphere, ensuring every guest feels welcome.
Best restaurant in San Vincente, located above Marina 4rooms accommodation, just around the corner from the launderette. The restaurant has panoramic views of the San Vicente pier and coast. The restaurant is under new management and now serving a variety of contemporary issues, whilst taking full advantage of fresh local ingredients, especially the seafood. Every dish I had was excellent, from the fish and chips ( using local fish to great effect), to the tacos, chorizo Mac and cheese bite and freshly baked brownie. The highlight was the fresh, grilled king prawns in a hot honey sauce. Kieran and Beth make you feel welcomed from minute one and will not only help you with menu recommendations but also offer local knowledge and direction which is invaluable, especially as a solo traveller. If you are looking for the best food, the best views, best service and the best company in San Vicente look no further.

Marina Terrace is such a beautiful place outlooking the bay with the sunset to perfect an evening. The menu had a big variety of different cuisines from tacos to fish and chips to delicious curry to a british roast dinner on sundays (which i’ll have to come back for as i missed!) The awesome Welsh Hosts Beth and Kieran were so hospitable and friendly. They really brought smiles, great tasting food and fabulously served drinks- whether a coffee smoothie or cocktail- whatever you would like! They also have endless recommendations for the area and were always so kind to help out. Don’t listen to anything under 5 stars- because everything was exquisite✨

A Hidden Gem with a Stunning View We've been to Marina Terrace several times now, and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious — a perfect mix of Filipino and Western dishes. We celebrated Valentine's Day there with a full course meal, and every dish was spot-on. The setting is incredibly romantic, with a breathtaking view that adds something truly special to the evening. The service is warm and attentive, and the owner is often around for a friendly chat, which gives the place a personal touch. Great atmosphere, great food, and overall a fantastic experience every time.
Orestis A — Google review
We had heard such glowing things about this establishment that my wife and I eagerly set out on a 40-minute journey, our hearts brimming with anticipation for a memorable Italian feast. The thought of fresh pasta, aromatic sauces, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere had us nearly salivating as we climbed the somewhat questionable stairs to the restaurant entrance. Alas, those stairs should have been a portent of things to come. Their overpowering stench of mildew, which assaulted our senses as we ascended, was only the beginning of the evening’s disappointment. Despite arriving at what we thought was a perfectly reasonable dinner hour, we were briskly informed that the restaurant was closing for a private event starting in 90 minutes. To be clear: they had the time, the staff, and (presumably) the food to accommodate us for a quick meal, but no. The host—who was courteous yet unyielding—turned us away, leaving us standing in the doorway, utterly crestfallen. Forty minutes of driving, dreams of heavenly gnocchi dashed, and now we were left scrambling for an alternative dinner plan. We can only assume the food is as good as the reviews suggest, but our experience was far from warm or hospitable. It’s a shame because we were genuinely excited to dine here. Instead, we drove away with empty stomachs and a lingering sense of rejection, not to mention the faint odor of mildew stubbornly clinging to our shoes. While I’m sure this place has its merits, the rigidity of their policy left us feeling more unwelcome than we’ve felt at any restaurant in years. Unfortunately it’s our last night and we can’t give it another shot…a notice online would be recommend.

What a wonderful place! This gem is tucked away next to the bay with an amazing view! To be able to see the sun set while have a magnificent dinner is a dream come true! The cocktails were amazing and the pasta was to die for! Walter was such a nice down to earth guy that brings joy and passion to to everyone! He is especially proud of his very own cocktail named after himself. James the other host that took care of us was very excited to have us try his cheese board with some very fresh cheeses and meats. The bread that came out was fresh out of the oven and was amazing! The atmosphere that was coming from this Italian restaurant was beautiful! From the music coming from the vinyls to the gecko sipping on the leftover cocktail. All the pasta is homemade. The carrot cake was the best I ever had and the tiramisu was to die for! When I come back to visit the only thing I will change is the place I booked for lodging because I will be booking a spot at this wonderful place!

Guests can also enjoy a small garden at the back where fresh herbs are grown for garnish. Superb place for a different feel of the wonderful palawan and Philippines (it's not just beaches)! Very great location in the middle of the lush jungle with great panoramas. The rooms are lovely and if your expectations are not high or according to the photos online - there's everything you need. The bar and restaurant is absolutely amazing. Food is great! Adobo chicken and special curry were my favorites. Breakfast selection is also quite big. Relative cheap drinks with quite a long list to choose from. Some interesting choices for rhum lovers. Great fruit shakes! The only downside (or upside for some), it's relative difficult to get to compared to restaurants or hotels in Port barton, but so worth it.
Mindaugas Z — Google review
Absolutely unique experience if you like the calmness in the middle of the jungle. Imagine waking up with roaring but still relaxing jungle sounds with an amazing hill view of the jungle and the sea! Also the cottages are very special equipped with mosquito net and bamboo shower vith sea view. One of a kind experience and if you have the chance to meet the landlord Kuya Bimboy he might invite you to a trip with his family and friends :-) Also the food is exceptionally good! I can highly recommend it. Also there is the stunning 'white beach' in about 10 min. walking distance. But don't forget that you are in thr jungle and it takes about 20-30 min. with Tuk Tuk on a unpaved jungle path to get to Port Barton.

such a good chill vibe and it's olny a 15 min walk through the jungle from white beach. The staff was super nice and helpful. We only ate there, but every meal is homemade and really tasty! Also such a nice chill area for reading, relaxing etc. The lovely ladies even helped us out to get a ride back to Port Barton, since the trails were muddy due to the heavy rain. Thank you so much! 🙏🏼💗

Only came here for lunch after our hotel owner recommended it when we visited white beach. It’s a 20min walk slightly uphill which can get a bit muddy if it rained but it is definitely worth it. Great views in the middle of an incredible landscape. The food was also exceptional. Highly recommend it!

Amazing place, definitely worth the short hike from white beach. Very chill atmosphere, floor eating set up. You can even take a nap after your meal. The view from the second floor is breathtaking but most importantly - the food outstanding - amazing interpretation of the typical Filipino ingredients. Do not miss this place!

The place is very picturesque, quite and cozy as well. The food is fresh and tasty. The staff is nice. We came after a walk from Port Barton and White beach, but its possible to get to the beach by tuc tucs. Regional airport
Airport
El Nido Airport serves as the gateway to the breathtaking beauty of the Bacuit Archipelago in Palawan, Philippines. This destination is renowned for its world-class beaches and island hopping opportunities. Despite being a popular travel hotspot, El Nido maintains a peaceful atmosphere with affordable accommodations, restaurants, and bars. The town offers a less westernized experience compared to other Southeast Asian destinations, making it an exciting yet adventurous discovery.
Very nice and cozy airport. The staff super friendly, there’s no smoking area after security but you can ask them to let you out of the airport and maybe you will be allowed. Just need to perform security check again (basic control). By friendly I mean I even run out of cigarettes, and since there’s no place to find any cigarettes here, someone from staff helped me by going with the scooter in the nearest village to buy some. 100% recommend! Expect flights delays because of the severe weather most of the times, but the experience of waiting will be pleasant.
Alex M — Google review
A surprisingly pleasant small airport in the middle of lush greenery. Visited: August 2025, as a family traveler. Highlights – green tropical setting – simple but friendlier than Manila’s domestic terminal – small snack options available Pros Offers a peaceful, garden-like atmosphere uncommon for airports Has food and drink stands that are better stocked than Manila domestic terminal Efficient and easy to navigate once check-in opens Cons No air-conditioned waiting zone before check-in (only fans) Check-in counters open just about one hour before departure, so early arrivals must wait outside Insider Tips Arrive closer to your flight time; otherwise, you’ll be waiting in the heat. Once check-in is complete, head into the cooled departure area to relax more comfortably. Verdict A small but charming gateway to El Nido—functional, green, and stress-free if you time your arrival right.

A small and simple airport, but everything works efficiently. Check-in and boarding were smooth, and the staff were polite. There aren’t many facilities or food options, but that’s understandable for a local airport. Overall, a clean and organized place — good enough for travelers visiting El Nido.

Small airport. Near the nature. You can buy food - Potato Corner, Air Bowls (rice bowls - Kaldereta, Chiciken Adobo, Menudo) and a small souvenir shop. There's a cafe near the boarding gate.

El Nido's airport is a small, functional terminal located about a 15-20 minute ride from the main town. Be aware that ticketed passengers cannot enter the main terminal until two hours before their scheduled departure. We arrived 3.5 hours early and waited in a covered outdoor area, which had a few small food kiosks and souvenir stalls. Once inside, the process was efficient. The single security line moved quickly, and the main departure lobby is a single room with one gate and a small cafe counter selling coffee and pastries. The main drawback was the comfort of the waiting area. Despite two stand-alone AC units, the indoor temperature was between 78-80°F. We noticed several large ceiling fans that were turned off. When we asked a gate agent if the fans could be turned on to help circulate the air, he replied that "they don't help very much" and did not turn them on. Overall, the airport provides the basic services needed for a regional flight, but the staff seemed unresponsive to simple passenger feedback regarding the warm and stuffy conditions in the waiting room.

Regrettably, I and 7 other people encountered a situation involving a missed check-in time, resulting in a cascade of missed connecting flights. Despite arriving at the airport with ample time, unforeseen circumstances led to a delay. Consequently, the subsequent flight options were not viable for my travel itinerary. To mitigate the situation, we arranged transportation to Puerto Princesa to secure an alternative flight (8000peso). However, the arranged taxi service presented an unfavorable experience. The driver demanded immediate payment, and a subsequent incident involving a purported flat tire raised suspicions of a scam the new driver only received a fraction of the money (4500peso). The original driver's actions, coupled with the airport staff's involvement in arranging the transport, suggest potential complicity and corruption. This experience has left me feeling exploited and financially disadvantaged, irrespective of the initial check-in delay. Note: Without any reception in the area I suggest you get to the airport at least 2-3 hrs early to avoid this expensive and disappointing mistake. The picture is of the original van and alleged flat tyre.

Airport very strict, many rule. Cannot bring even empty water bottle, but metal bottle like Yeti is ok? I don’t understand. Online check in no use, still must check in at the machine outside, then must go to counter again before can go inside terminal. Every bag they weigh, so better make sure no overweight. Passport check so many time 1. at entry, 2.kiosk, 3. security, 4. Bag weighed counter, and 5. boarding. Five time in 30 minute is annoying. Also cannot go inside airport too early, only 1.5 hour before flight. Outside no food, nothing to eat or drink if you waiting. Inside is okay, aircon cold, place clean, seat comfortable. But food very little, only one small café with few item only. Good airport but too many step and rule compare with Coron or Manila.

Small airport beside sea. But i liked the green scenic beauty it offers when you enter the airport at arrival (see picture). It has both arrival and departure at the same floor side by side. Has multiple shops for dry food, coffee and souvenir. But MUST KEEP CASH, NO CREDIT CARD WORKS EVEN IN THE ONLY COFFEE SHOP AFTER CHECK IN. Waiting area has enough seating and washroom was clean. You can hire tricycle just outside airport to get to any part of the city. Rent chart is attached so no need to bargain much, but must bargain on activity and also asked for hidden charges like environmental fee, jetty fee etc.

Puerto Princesa International Airport

International airport
Airport
Puerto Princesa International Airport is the gateway to the natural wonders of Puerto Princesa, Palawan. This airport serves as a starting point for exploring attractions such as the underground river, Sabang Falls, Sabang Beach, and more. It has been recognized for its cleanliness and organization. While some travelers find taxi fares from the airport to be a bit pricey, others suggest opting for a tricycle as a more affordable alternative.
Puerto Princesa International Airport is one of the most convenient and welcoming gateways to Palawan. The terminal is modern, clean, and well-maintained, with a relaxed atmosphere that reflects the island’s charm. The check-in and security processes are usually smooth and efficient, and staff members are generally friendly and accommodating. The airport is not too large, which makes it easy to navigate—even first-time travelers won’t have trouble finding their way around. Facilities are sufficient, with comfortable seating areas, restrooms that are kept tidy, and a few shops and food stalls offering snacks, coffee, and local souvenirs. The air conditioning inside provides a refreshing break from the tropical heat outside. Its location is also a big advantage—just a short drive from the city proper, making transfers to hotels, restaurants, and attractions very convenient.

Puerto Princesa Airport is small but clean and well-organized. The terminal feels modern and bright, with large windows and a relaxed atmosphere that matches the vibe of Palawan. Check-in and security are generally smooth, though the waiting area can get crowded during peak hours. Food and shopping options are limited, so it’s better to eat before arriving. Transportation is easy—tricycles and vans are right outside, and the city center is just 15–20 minutes away. Overall, it’s a simple, stress-free airport that makes for a pleasant start or end to any trip in Palawan.

Had a second great 2017 and now 2025 sad to see the changes. But still an amazing stay. Best ever location Deep Forest Inn great service minutes to town rooms are so quiet believe me don't believe all reviews. Definitely the Mangrove Tour is a must. And also the Underground River tour its Incredible I truly hope you enjoy as much as we did.

The airport is clean, well-lit, and easy to navigate — definitely a great welcome to Palawan. Checking in and going through security was quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. One thing I really appreciated was the free Wi-Fi, which worked surprisingly well. There were also a few nice spots to grab a quick bite. The seating areas were comfortable, although power outlets were a bit limited, so charging my phone was a bit tricky. Overall, it’s not a massive airport, but it feels well-organized and traveler-friendly. If you’re headed to explore the natural wonders of Palawan, Puerto Princesa International Airport is a solid starting point for your adventure.

The international airport of Puerto Princessa is spacious. There are not many international flights coming and going from it, though. Most of the flights are still domestic. There are several shops outside and inside the airport to buy food, drinks, and souvenirs. There are charging stations, several seats, and toilets for passengers to use. The temperature in both the arrival and departure areas was cool despite the heat during summer. We were able to claim our checked in luggage right away. The only thing I would say they need to improve is the number of toilets for women, which are always crowded, and the availability of toilet paper, which is not replaced right away. There is no Grab in Puerto Princessa, but there are taxi waiting outside. The LGU does not regulate fare, so you just need to negotiate with the driver. Usually, one way from the airport to the city proper, which is about 10 minutes away, was about P350. At the Departure area, it's hard to find push Carts.
