Museums
Nestled in the heart of Islamabad, the Lok Virsa Heritage Museum stands as a vibrant testament to Pakistan's rich cultural tapestry. This expansive ethnology museum, officially known as the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage, invites visitors on an immersive journey through the country's diverse traditions and artistic expressions. With its extensive collection of artifacts ranging from traditional costumes and musical instruments to intricate pottery and textiles, each exhibit offers a glimpse into the daily lives and customs of various ethnic communities across Pakistan.
A must-visit for every Pakistani, especially with kids! Lok Virsa Heritage Museum is a treasure trove of Pakistan's rich traditions and cultural diversity. Every exhibit tells a story of our roots, beautifully showcasing the customs, crafts, and heritage of our people. It's a journey through time that connects you to the soul of Pakistan. Overseas Pakistanis, bring your kids here - they'll learn and love every bit of our vibrant culture! Highly recommend for a soulful, educational family experience.

It is a good place to visit especially on festive days. It has a huge museum and statues and artifacts showcasing Pakistan's rich culture and history. The museum sadly has no AC, so it's very hot. The place has bookshops and other merchants and artists as well. Overall a nice place. I feel that adding Pakistani scientists statues is important.
Faysal K — Google review
Lok Virsa in Islamabad offers an immersive journey through Pakistan’s cultural soul. Though the traditional crafts were slightly overpriced, each piece reflected the authentic artistry of KPK, Sindh, Balochistan, gilgit and Punjab. The highlight, however, was the food and music — rich, vibrant, and full of life. The traditional dishes were truly delectable, and the live music infused the entire place with infectious energy. A must-visit for anyone seeking Pakistan’s cultural heartbeat in one vibrant spot.
Syeda M — Google review
A Cultural Treasure Worth Visiting! Lok Virsa Museum is a beautiful place to explore the rich and diverse culture of Pakistan. The exhibits are thoughtfully arranged, showcasing traditional art, crafts, music, and heritage from all regions of the country. It’s a great learning experience for both locals and tourists. The only downside is that the indoor area can get quite hot, especially during summer, as there’s limited air conditioning or ventilation. Still, it’s absolutely worth a visit — just try to go in the morning or cooler months for the best experience.
Amir S — Google review
Lok Virsa is the best place to quickly dive into Pakistan's rich and diverse culture. The museum does an amazing job showcasing the nation's history, beautiful traditional crafts, vibrant folk art, and regional heritage from all provinces. The detailed exhibits on cultural life, gorgeous textiles, and the Hall of Sufis and Shrines are truly worth seeing.
M S — Google review
I visited Lok Virsa Museum recently and while the cultural display and overall atmosphere were enjoyable, there are a few areas that definitely need improvement. Firstly, the place was extremely crowded, which made it difficult to fully appreciate the exhibits and stalls. Better crowd management or designated walkways could really enhance the visitor experience. Secondly, parking needs serious attention. There didn’t seem to be a proper system in place, and visitors had to struggle to find a spot. A well-planned parking area would make the visit much more convenient. Lastly, the area where the stalls were set up was quite dusty. The ground wasn’t properly solid or paved, which caused dust clouds whenever people walked by. If the management could solidify or properly prepare the surface, it would make the environment much cleaner and more comfortable. Overall, Lok Virsa is a great place to explore culture and craftsmanship, but with a few improvements in infrastructure and management, it could offer a far better experience for everyone.
Aslam B — Google review
Lok Virsa Museum is an absolute must-visit for anyone in Islamabad, whether you're a local or a tourist. It's not just a museum; it's a vibrant journey through the heart of Pakistan's diverse cultural heritage. Tucked away in the beautiful Shakarparian Hills, the museum offers a refreshing and educational experience. The exhibits are incredibly well-curated, showcasing a rich tapestry of handicrafts, textiles, musical instruments, and traditional attire from all corners of the country. I particularly enjoyed the sections dedicated to the regional craftsmanship, where you can see intricate embroidery from Sindh, stunning woodwork from Punjab, and colorful pottery from Balochistan. The life-size dioramas depicting rural life and artisans at work are a fantastic way to visualize the country's folk traditions. The museum's architecture itself is a treat, reflecting traditional Pakistani styles that blend seamlessly with the lush, green surroundings. The outdoor spaces are perfect for a leisurely stroll, offering a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The presence of a cultural library, a souvenir shop with authentic handicrafts, and a café make it a complete experience. It's a place that sparks curiosity and instills a deep appreciation for the customs and history of Pakistan. A visit here takes about 2-3 hours, but you could easily spend more time exploring every detail. It's a truly enriching and memorable experience for families, students, and anyone with an interest in culture and history The administration needs to install some screens in every gallery to give the people a digital visual roundup of the related history.

Extraordinary Event. Its Beyond Expectations. But couple of things i have noticed are enlisted below; 1. Very few Toilets and are in very very poor condition (No Water too). 2. No proper Mosque/Masjid for Prayers (BTW Pakistan is a Leading Islamic Country). 3. More space should be given to each & every Pavilion. 4. Should be More Better Arrangements for Food. 5. Seperate Arrangements for Families.

Its location on a small hill which gives a slight overview on the city of Islamabad . And also can partially be seen from far in several areas . Entry to monument is free , the museum is at entrance of monument . It is a favourite place for both locals and tourists to visit , with its nice architecture and green surrounding areas . It is near to the other museums on the way ( The Heritahe , lok virsa , natural life ) The monument comprises of - four large petals represent the four major cultures of Pakistan – Punjabi, Baloch, Sindhi, Pashtun - three smaller petals representing the minor cultures, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. All seven petals meet over the central platform . Pleasant place and surrounding .

Built on a hill top, the monument houses a museum and offers a good view of Islamabad. The museum is worth going, as it provides a good perspective to the history of Pakistan leading to its independence and separation in 1947.

Daman-e-Koh, located in the Margalla Hills, is a picturesque elevated park area offering stunning panoramic views of Islamabad, including the city, lake, and Faisal Mosque. It serves as a midpoint for travelers en route to Pir Sohawa at an elevation of about 2400ft from sea level. This popular lookout point is frequented by both locals and tourists seeking Instagram-worthy pictures and a refreshing experience amidst lush greenery.
Really a beautiful and stunning place in Islamabad. You will get a stunning view of the whole city and it is very exciting to watch from there. Mostly it is smoggy from over this point but it is worth it visiting there. You can see a few international tourists there and you can get a chance to meet and greet them and have some pictures. There is a small restaurant also available here and a snack shop. Please visit this place at 5 to 8 PM as it is hot and very sunny in afternoon. If you want better pictures with great colors then visit in the morning.

One of many fine parks in Islamabad that is adjacent to the Margala Hills, and has lovely views to the city. Entering the place is free. The place is served with ample parking and restrooms. There is also a restaurant on-site. The place can get crowded at times, and has many walking paths. Very close to the place are some of the hiking trails of the city.

It's known as the city's premier shopping destination offering a wide range of local and international brands without the hassle of bargaining. The Centaurus Mall is an iconic landmark in Islamabad. Its stunning architecture and vast array of stores—from local to international brands—make it a premier shopping destination. The mall offers a complete experience with a Cinepax cinema, a fun-filled Fun City for kids, and a diverse food court. While it can get crowded on weekends, the clean facilities and friendly staff ensure a pleasant visit. It’s a must-visit for families and tourists alike.
Mohammad I — Google review
Centaurus Mall is housed in a very beautiful and iconic building — definitely one of the standout structures in Islamabad. However, despite its grand exterior, the mall itself feels quite small and congested inside. During my visit, the air conditioning was not working properly, which made the experience uncomfortable. Even in the parking area, the heat was noticeable. Interestingly, the only place where the cooling was actually effective was inside the mosque — which, by the way, is beautifully designed and very peaceful. One major downside was the behavior of the security staff, especially the female staff at the entrance and exit points. Their attitude was quite rude and unprofessional, which leaves a bad impression right at the start. Overall, while the building and mosque are impressive, the management seriously needs to improve crowd handling, air conditioning, and staff training to provide a better experience.
Tanveer K — Google review
I recently visited Centaurus Mall in Islamabad and had a mixed experience. The mall offers plenty of parking space, which makes it convenient for visitors arriving by car. Inside, you can find almost all major brands under one roof, along with a good variety of food outlets. However, one major drawback is the lack of stairs for public access, which means you have to wait around 15–20 minutes for the lifts, especially during busy hours, this can be quite frustrating. Another thing I noticed is that most of the products in the stores are overpriced, except for the food places which are reasonably priced. Overall, Centaurus Mall is a great spot for shopping and dining, but it would be much better if they improved accessibility between floors and offered more fair pricing across stores.
Faraz K — Google review
The Centaurus Mall in Islamabad is a well-known shopping and entertainment complex praised for its extensive variety of local and international brands, a modern architectural design, and diverse dining options ranging from casual cafes to fine dining. It features more than 250 shops across four floors, a food court with many vendors, a multiplex cinema with four screens, and an amusement/play area for children called Fun City, making it popular for families and tourists alike.
Aamir K — Google review
The best mall in Islamabad. Wide variety of food options with great deals and diversity of clothes shops and other accessories. You can visit in the day or at night with family or friends. The whole mall is air conditioned and lots of parking space. I got deal for 4 from howdies and later loaded fries.
Fassih A — Google review
Huge mall with beautiful architecture.. Loved the shops in there.. Food court has all the options from economical to premium and luxurious atmosphere.. Loved the variett of outlets available that I haven't seen in other cities of Pakistan, for instance chinese restaurants like Kim mun and giyanki.. 🥰🥰 However, found their staff a bit uninformed. We were checking Tim Hortons but weren't sure if there's one inside the mall. One of staff guided us that it's on first floor. We wemt there but there was none. We crosschecked and another staff said there is no outlet with this name inside the mall 😒 P.s. loved the amazing biards outside a number of outlets... A biryani outlet for their discount said: Daigh magar piyaar se 😁😁😁
Saleema M — Google review
Centaurus Mall Islamabad is a shopping paradise! With a vast array of stores, dining options, and entertainment facilities, it's perfect for families and friends. Rawal Lake, situated in Islamabad, Pakistan, is a popular tourist destination offering scenic beauty and various recreational activities. The artificial reservoir spans approximately 8.8 square kilometers and provides opportunities for picnics, boating, fishing, and wildlife viewing against the backdrop of Margalla and Murree hills. The Korang River flowing from the Margalla Hills adds to its allure.

While the park itself is rather peaceful and maintained, its not an ideal point for the tourists. Free parking and free entry, the management works well maintaining the cleanliness all over the park its upto the visitors to play their part and keep it clean. As of Nov 2024 boating is prohibited.

A fine lake located in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and can be visited from several locations in these 2 sister cities. Each visiting spot is equipped with observation decks, kiosks and buying spots, and walking paths. You may also find restaurants, horse rides, and kids activities areas. Entering the lake area is free. The place can get as crowded as it gets at times. The place can get some attention; mainly the cleanliness. Expect to spend 1 hour onwards.

Rawal Lake and Rawal Dam are stunning! The scenic beauty is breathtaking, with lush green forests surrounding the lake. The area is perfect for relaxation and picnic spots, ideal for family outings. The dam offers great views, adding to its natural charm. To make the most of your visit, consider going on weekdays to avoid crowds, and be sure to respect the environment by not littering. Be prepared for changing weather conditions, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and stunning views. Overall, Rawal Lake and Rawal Dam are a must-visit destination for those seeking relaxation.

Entry is free, and parking is free. You can go there, roam around the park, enjoy the trees, and there’s also a bird-watching area. However, you have to pay for that. There are many small stalls selling various items. No boats are allowed on the lake. I noticed some really awful behavior from a grown man who took pictures and videos of two girls, which I initially thought were with him, but they actually weren’t. He secretly took the video and then walked away as if nothing had happened. I was behind him, so I saw it. Also, the security there is non-existent, so be careful.

Shakarparian National Park, also known as Shakarparian Hills, is a renowned hill and national park situated near the Zero Point Interchange in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is home to the iconic Pakistan Monument and the Pakistan Monument Museum. The area holds historical significance as it was originally settled by the Gakhars tribe leaders before being transformed into a park for the country's capital in 1960.
A refreshing spot with lots of greenery and trees planted by the hands of famous personalities. We had dinner at Tahir Khan Restaurant (TKR), and the food was delicious with a nice place to sit and relax.

Shakarparian Park holds a special place in Islamabad; not just for its natural beauty, but also for its deep historical significance. After a relaxed family lunch at the nearby TKR restaurant, we took a stroll through the park, and the experience was truly refreshing. The light drizzle added a quiet, soothing vibe to the whole atmosphere. One of the highlights is the iconic viewpoint where the master plan of Islamabad was officially approved on May 24, 1960, in a special meeting presided over by Field Marshal Mohammad Ayub Khan, the then President of Pakistan. Standing at that spot, overlooking the city, you can actually feel the weight of history and the vision that went into shaping this beautiful capital. The park itself is peaceful, green, and clean—ideal for family outings, casual walks, or just a moment to take in the views. It’s not crowded, well-maintained, and has a calming energy that’s hard to find elsewhere. Definitely a must-visit if you want to enjoy both nature and a piece of Pakistan’s history in one go.

Shakarparyan National Park is truly the green heart of Islamabad, offering much more than just a park experience—it's a blend of stunning natural beauty, panoramic city views, and immense national history. My recent visit reaffirmed why this spot is a mandatory stop for both locals and tourists. The most compelling feature is undoubtedly the Shakarparyan View Point. Situated on a central hill, it provides breathtaking, uninterrupted 360-degree views of the entire capital. You can clearly see the iconic Faisal Mosque shimmering in the distance, the vast expanse of Rawal Lake, and the Red Zone buildings, all framed by the beautiful Margalla Hills. Visiting in the late afternoon for the sunset is highly recommended; the city lights gradually twinkling to life beneath you are simply magical. Adjacent to the park is the spectacular Pakistan Monument and Museum, which adds profound cultural significance to the location. The monument itself is a work of art, and the museum offers an insightful journey through the nation's history. It's fantastic that you can combine a serene nature walk with a valuable educational experience in a single visit. The park itself is well-maintained, featuring wide, clean walking and jogging tracks perfect for an early morning stroll or an evening walk. There are ample, shaded picnic spots and the famous 'Head of State Tree' plantation area, where international dignitaries have planted trees—a unique touch. While parking can sometimes be a bit limited during peak hours, the general atmosphere is peaceful, clean, and secure. If you are seeking an escape from the city hustle without leaving the city, Shakarparyan National Park offers the perfect retreat. It’s a wonderful place to relax, reflect, take amazing photographs, and appreciate the vision behind Islamabad’s beautiful design. Highly recommended for families, nature lovers, and history enthusiasts alike.

On August 14, 2025, Shakarparian National Park in Islamabad transformed into a vibrant hub of national pride during Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, hosting a spectacular Defence Equipment Exhibition. Nestled near Zero Point Interchange, this iconic park, known for the Pakistan Monument and lush greenery, provided a fitting backdrop for an event celebrating the nation’s military prowess and cultural heritage. The exhibition, opened to the public at 10:00 AM, showcased an impressive array of military hardware—tanks, artillery, rocket launchers, and advanced radars pivotal to the “Marka-e-Haq” victory. The military bands played patriotic melodies, igniting fervent national spirit.Beyond the military spectacle, Shakarparian’s natural charm and cultural offerings shone through. The park’s rolling hills and gardens invited families to linger, with cultural stalls, folk performances, and Lok Virsa’s Independence Day festival featuring Mili Naghma competitions and artisan workshops. The blend of history, nature, and patriotism made the event unforgettable. Accessibility, free parking, and wheelchair-friendly paths ensured inclusivity. Despite some crowding, the festive atmosphere and prideful displays made Shakarparian a must-visit, leaving visitors inspired by Pakistan’s strength and unity.

Rose & Jasmine Garden is a worthwhile spot in Islamabad for nature lovers, families, or anyone wanting a short respite from the city. It has great potential: beautiful flowers, good location, decent amenities. If well maintained, it can be truly excellent. Right now it seems to be a mixed bag: parts are lovely, others need work. If you go, going during weekdays or off-peak hours gives a better experience (less crowd; facilities more likely to be better). Margilla hills national park is one of the more well maintained national parks of Pakistan. It is also probably the most easily accessible one, too. Flaura and fauna of the park are so breathtaking. Wildfires do occur though, almost every year. The park is as safe as it gets, for a national park, since it is close to the city, data signals do appear from time to time, it is easy to call for help, animal encounters are also common but not dangerous. The park offers about 7 different trails. All of which are worth trekking through. Trail 5 is the most well maintained with proper markings throughout the trail. I also recommend trail 3 and new one, trail 7. Before travelling, you may need to confirm if they are open or not, as a local I know that trail 6 has been close for quite some time now to protect wildlife whereas trail 5 was also closed for a week in August 2025. There are different rock climbing spots across the parks, most famous of which is Beetle's nest located behind Saidpur Village. Then, there's different camping spots in the parks, most common of which is trail 5 camping spot. Furthermore, there are some historical spots in the Margilla hills as well, such as Shah Allah Dita caves. Overall, The whole park cannot really be visited in just a day. My recommendation is to stay at least a week in nearby Islamabad and explore it. To be fair, I have been living in Islamabad for 10+ years and I have not really been able to explore all of it so It is justifiable. There are many other spots that I have visited in the park, which are not really mapped on Google Maps, such as the plane crash site in margilla hills

Shah Allah Ditta Caves is a historic site located in the village of Shah Allah Ditta, nestled at the base of the Margalla Hills in Islamabad Capital Territory. The village has a rich history dating back over 700 years and was frequented by notable figures such as Alexander the Great, Sher Shah Suri, and Mughal rulers. The caves themselves are approximately 2400 years old and showcase artifacts from Buddhist, Mughal, and Hindu periods.
A best place for an outing. The restaurants are nice. The horse stable and swimming pools are also good. Wild monkeys can be seen on trees, but one has to be careful as they come too close and seem to be aggressive. The caves have their own charm and nearby restaurants up the hill showcase the panoramic view of the city. Will love to visit this place again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful Historical and Natural Wonder – A Must-Visit Place in Islamabad! Shah Allah Ditta Caves is one of the most fascinating and peaceful historical spots in Islamabad, combining natural beauty with ancient heritage. The caves date back thousands of years and have great historical and spiritual importance, reflecting Buddhist, Hindu, and Islamic influences over time. The location is surrounded by lush green hills, ancient banyan trees, and fresh natural springs that make the environment calm and refreshing. It’s the perfect place for people who love history, photography, nature, or simply want to spend some quiet and relaxing time away from the city’s noise. There are also a few small cafés and tea points nearby where you can enjoy local snacks and chai while taking in the scenic views. The road leading to the caves is now much improved, and the area feels safe and welcoming. If you’re visiting Islamabad, I highly recommend adding Shah Allah Ditta Caves to your list. Come early in the morning or around sunset for the best experience. You’ll truly feel the blend of history, spirituality, and nature in one place. Tip: Wear comfortable shoes, bring drinking water, and take your camera — you’ll definitely want to capture the beauty of this place!

Its historical and peaceful place. Must visit for people who love history and old heritage. It is on roadside, you can see it from your cars too. Road is proper and you can go there on any transport, there is no local transport though. They are simply caves and have history so please don't expect much from this place other than history. Recommend for family trip. There is no ticket there, It's free to visit and explore. Government should maintain that and should clean the fish pond on regular basis.

A beautiful place with a historic and scenic views of mountains, caves, trees, wells etc. Teavelling through dera dari restaurant is scenic but road is not smooth, travelling through Shah Allah Ditta village main road is short and better. After main village, road is not fully carpeted but reasonably good to travel. 3km after caves, is a place, kanthla village, the road is under construction, but the views are beautiful and a good reataurant and a dera type place is there to stay for a few hours and take rest.

Highly recommended!"*
Zaheer K — Google review
The Monal Islamabad is one of those places you visit not only for the food, but for the complete experience. The panoramic view of Islamabad from the top of Margalla Hills is unmatched — especially around sunset or night when the city lights come on. The food is consistently good, portions are decent, and there’s a good variety in the menu for almost every taste (Pakistani, BBQ, Continental etc.). Service is generally fast considering how busy the place usually is, and the staff is polite and attentive. Parking and getting up the hill can get crowded, especially on weekends, so it’s better to go a bit early. Reservations are also recommended on peak days. Overall — great ambiance, good food, excellent views — worth visiting with family or friends.

This is a very good hotel, I can't praise it enough Great view, great management and service. Despite being so busy on a weekend, they managed it well. Hats off to the management. Not only did we get parking easily, but the table was also free. They have deployed their staff from a 3 km range to help and guide the traffic and keep it in the lane. We tried their fish and sandwiches. The taste was also good.

Qadeer R — Google review
The Monal Restaurant Here’s a summary review of The Monal Restaurant in Islamabad — what made it special, what its drawbacks were, and where things stand now. --- ✅ What people liked The view: Many reviewers gush about the panoramic view of Islamabad you get while dining at The Monal — a major draw. Ambience & location: The hill-top setting (on the Margalla Hills National Park / Pir Sohawa area) built a memorable, almost “destination restaurant” feel. Diverse menu & good food (some reports): Several reviews say the menu was extensive (Pakistani + international) and some dishes stood out. Service & amenities: Parking/valet help, outdoor seating, family-friendly setups were often noted positively. --- ⚠️ What people complained about Price: Many felt it was expensive, especially compared to local options. Food & service inconsistencies: Some users reported slower service, or food not matching expectations. > “Tbh it will be waste of ur time and money if u r considering visiting monal one last time… Monal disappointed us so much…” Crowds & waiting: Because of its popularity, there were complaints about long wait times and difficulty getting tables without reservation. Environmental & location concerns: There were criticisms that the restaurant’s setting on protected land was problematic. --- 🕒 Current status The restaurant announced closure of its Islamabad location on 11 September 2024 following a court order related to its operation within the national park. Because of this, it’s not entirely clear whether the original location is still operating in the same capacity. Some sources say it was demolished. If you plan to visit, I strongly recommend confirming its operational status before going. --- 🎯 My verdict If I had to give a rating based on user feedback: Ambience & location: 9/10 — excellent setting. Food & value: 6–7/10 — good in places, but some inconsistency and pricey. Service & experience: 7/10 — generally positive, but the crowd and wait times were a drawback. If it were still operating exactly as before, I’d say: Excellent place for a special occasion (especially for the view), but not necessarily the best for everyday casual meal (given cost and waiting). Given the closure announcement though, check current status. --- If you like, I can check for any alternative restaurants in Islamabad with similar views (and maybe better value) and send you a short list. Do you want that?

Tuscany Courtyard, located in Kohsar Market, F-6, Islamabad, is a renowned Italian restaurant offering an authentic dining experience. The interior boasts Italian-inspired design with large windows while the outdoor area exudes a charming cafe vibe and the rooftop resembles a courtyard. Guests can enjoy picturesque views of the Margalla hills while savoring delectable meals made with high-quality ingredients. The restaurant's enchanting courtyard setting features a fountain and lush greenery, adding to its allure.
"Tuscany Courtyard Islamabad is a hidden gem! Authentic Italian cuisine, charming ambiance, and excellent service make it a must-visit. Delicious pasta dishes, pizzas, and steaks await. Perfect for a romantic evening or special occasion. A delightful escape from urban life, serving up warm hospitality and Italian flavors."
Coolcat — Google review
Never Again!!! The restaurant I originally wanted to visit had a 45-minute wait, so rather than waste time, I decided to try Tuscany instead—a colossal mistake. At 12:15 PM on a Saturday, Tuscany was completely empty. Still, I remained optimistic, given its reputation as a well-known establishment in Kohsar Market. From start to finish, the experience was deeply disappointing. By the end, I was downright frustrated. Appetizers were a mess: wilted lettuce in the salad drenched in dressing to cover up its lack of freshness (which it didn’t), soup with a strange taste, soggy buffalo wings, and bland calamari. Even the garlic bread came in broken pieces—hard not to suspect it had been reheated and reused. Unfortunately, the main courses were no better. The pizza had an odd smell and an unappetizing appearance. The chicken was as tough as leather. The pasta looked like it was made with canned sauce and some hastily added seasoning. The steak was equally tough—comparable to cowhide. I asked for the bill as soon as the last dish hit the table and left everything largely untouched. Paid and walked out.

Charming Experience at Tuscany Courtyard, Islamabad! I recently visited Tuscany Courtyard in Islamabad, and it was a delightful experience! The ambiance was lovely, with a comfortable temperature inside the sitting area, complemented by soft, light music that enhanced the atmosphere. They also offer outdoor seating with wind coolers, perfect for warmer days. We ordered the Tea Platter, which was not only delicious but also incredibly reasonable for two people. The platter came with a variety of items, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend Tuscany Courtyard for both family and bachelor gatherings. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is top-notch! Rating: 4/5 stars

The pastas are so mid. Fettuccine Alfredo litr tastes like flour and was overcooked. Chicken parmigiana was okayish but way too dry. Their starters are nice. Jalapeno grilled chicken is full of taste 9/10. The pizzas are not authentic italian styled since the restaurant is Italian but it tastes good. overall i would give it a 6/10

Excellent hi-tea, I’d rate it 9/10. The only drawback is the serving area — it feels a bit scrambled and people rush in as if food might run out. Other than that, the food, hygiene, and overall experience are on point. The margarita is quite filling, so pace yourself with it. Perfect ambiance and a great spot if you’re a Chinese food lover. Bonus: they’ll happily bring you more jumbo prawns if you ask!

I was initially concerned about the crowd affecting service, but everything was handled very smoothly. Started with their special soup, which was flavorful and fresh. The sushi and maki rolls were fresh and delicious. Also tried veg tempura, chicken wings, and meatballs, all filled with taste. The main course included fried rice, garlic rice, Kung Pao fish, oyster beef, cashew nut chicken, and chili dry chicken. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Bonus: unlimited refills of margarita at the table🥰 Staff were extremely attentive despite the rush. Impressed with the overall service and management. Definitely a place worth visiting again. I had a wonderful experience at Asian Woaks with their hi tea buffet. The service and portion sizes were impressive. We were welcomed with a refreshing mint drink, which was even refilled later. Soon after, we enjoyed some complimentary sushi. The milk cake was absolutely delicious and a real highlight of the meal. The staff were warm, courteous, and attentive throughout our visit. The only downside was that the seating area felt quite cramped and noisy, somewhat like a lively wedding celebration.

Asian Wok by Monal They continue to be number 1 & top of the list in their food, service, atmosphere & courtesy. It has been my general observation that the restaurants which are full of customers usually take longer times in service, but Asian Wok defies my observation with their best & time seevice. They offered complimentary Maragatittas, Fish Crackers & Green Tea. Chinese or Thai; they seeve the original taste & mouth watering cuisine Highly recommended Slightly pricy yet affordable. Plus they have discounts on various Debit / Credit Cards so must make use of that. Happy Fine Dining👏🏻👏🏻

Went for dinner and it was quite busy, but we were seated quickly, which was a good start. The refillable mint margaritas were a refreshing touch, especially in the summer. Our server was helpful in explaining the menu and advising on portion sizes. The food was fresh and generally very good. However, the special chowmein had an unusual seafood-like flavor that didn’t pair well with the dish, we would’ve preferred a standard chicken chowmein. The fish we ordered was more like a soup than a gravy-based dish, which was unexpected. Overall, a pleasant experience with good service, though a bit more guidance on the menu would have improved it. I think they just need to work a little bit more on the ‘flavoring’.

I’ve been to Ox & Grill’s Bahria Town Phase 4 and Murree Road, Saddar branches many times and always enjoyed them, but my first visit to the F-7 branch was a bit disappointing. The place felt overcrowded, poorly lit, and the seating was awkward. On top of that, a birthday party had just ended and the area was still messy when we arrived. We were seated quickly and got our drinks, which were the only real highlight. The Buffalo Wings were overly sour, the ranch sauce runny and flavorless, and the chicken was both dry and over-sauced. The chicken steak was also dry with just average sauce, while the beef steak was the biggest letdown, served dry, tasting old, and not cooked medium-well as requested. I had ordered the Shiitake Mushroom Beef Steak. Overall, this branch does not match the standards of the others. I wouldn’t recommend F-7; Bahria Town or Saddar are much better options.

Yum Chinese & Thai is a top choice for an authentic Thai dining experience in Islamabad and Lahore. The restaurant offers expertly crafted dishes with bold spices and delicate herbs, creating a harmonious blend of flavors reminiscent of the vibrant streets of Bangkok. In Islamabad, Yum Chinese & Thai is known for its renowned lunch buffet featuring a delectable array of Chinese and Thai dishes.
A Delicious Experience at Yum Yum Restaurant! We had a wonderful experience at Yum Yum Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the beautiful décor and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made our visit even more enjoyable. We went for the buffet and were amazed by the wide variety of food on offer—something to suit every taste, and everything we tried was delicious. A special mention to the manager, Iklaas Abassi, who was very professional and ensured everything ran smoothly. They also offer a high tea, which was a real treat! An amazing selection of sweet delights, beautifully presented and absolutely scrumptious. We also popped into the gift shop, where we were helped by Tayab Qurshid—he was very helpful and knowledgeable, making the experience even better. The only minor drawback was that the blinds were down, so we missed out on enjoying the outside scenery. But overall, that didn’t take away from what was a fantastic visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a lovely setting!

Went to English Tea House for dinner and really enjoyed the food and ambience. The staff was well trained, crockery was crystal clean, and the food was very yummy. Will definitely be going there again soon.

One of our favourite places to go for breakfast and hi tea. The service, ambiance and the food is great as always. I liked the staff attitude and responsiveness. The cost is fine for the quality but the quantity of food has to be improved. The hi tea is barely enough for two people. One more advantage is the bank credit card discounts aswell. I totally recommend this place for breakfast amd hi tea.
Dr R — Google review
We had a lovely hi-tea experience at Yum, starting off with a refreshing fresh mint margarita. The buffet had everything one could ask for — from crispy fried chicken, noodles, and rice to flavorful chicken soup, sandwiches, and a variety of desi snacks. The outdoor rooftop seating added to the charm, though sitting outside in the summer heat was a bit tough. Still, the food and ambiance made it a worthwhile visit.
Zkash B — Google review
It is really a good Hi-Tea! The spread is always fine, with a variety of delicious Chinese food, finger foods, sandwiches, and sweet treats. The quality of the food is better in town, and the presentation is always visually appealing. Many like tempura prawns, chicken chilli dry, pizza, sandwiches, and mint margarita. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed, making it perfect for catching up with friends or colleagues. The service is also excellent - friendly and attentive without being overbearing. What I appreciate most about Hi-Tea is the generous portions, so you can try a little bit of everything without feeling overwhelmed. Overall, I highly recommend Hi-Tea for a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or savory, they've got you covered. Good place to go back and try more of their offerings!

Overall, I'd say the restaurant excels in atmosphere, but needs to work on its culinary offerings. If they can elevate their food to match the ambiance, they'd have a winning combination! 👍 For now, it's a decent spot for a casual meal, but don't expect anything extraordinary.

"I visited Yums, and every time I'm there, I fall in love with their Hi-Tea experience. I plan my visits suddenly, and hats off to the Yums team, management, and staff – they're always ready to accommodate their clients. The food is perfect! I started with the fruits, which were fresh and juicy, and the salad was amazing. The golgappay was awesome, and my favorite prawns made me incredibly happy. The wings were very tasty and fresh, and the drumsticks were good too. The pizza and mini burger options for kids were great. The beef items were exceptionally good and tasty – kudos to the chef! Everyone can't handle beef dishes, but the chief at Yums is truly amazing. The ambiance at Yums is my favorite spot. I love sitting on the rooftop, but this time, I sat indoors on the first floor, and it was fantastic. The colors scheme is classy, and the window view with greenery and light music created a perfect atmosphere. There was zero noise, making it an ideal spot to relax. The waiters are cooperative and efficient, covering three tables each, yet they're always available when needed. The cutlery is good, and the front desk staff, particularly the females, are humble and accommodating. I highly recommend Yums to everyone. Guys, you must go and try each dish – don't miss the Hi-Tea experience at Yums. It's truly unforgettable!"

Yum Chinese and Thai is an absolute gem, and I'm so glad I found it. Its location is a huge plus—convenient and easy to get to, making it a perfect spot for a spontaneous dinner or a planned celebration. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance. The decor is tasteful and modern, striking a perfect balance between a relaxed and upscale feel. It’s the kind of place that’s great for a date night but equally suitable for a family outing, with a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The food, however, is the real star of the show. I started with the Yum Special Soup, and it was a revelation—rich, flavorful, and packed with an incredible variety of ingredients. For the main course, the Chow Min was exceptional, perfectly cooked with a wonderful mix of textures and savory flavors. The quality of the ingredients truly stands out. Beyond the classics, the Thai menu offers a diverse range of options that are just as impressive. I had a fish dish that was cooked to perfection, showcasing the fresh, aromatic spices that are the hallmark of authentic Thai cuisine. Every Thai dish I've tried has been a burst of flavor, from the perfectly balanced curries to the tangy stir-fries. The dedication to quality is evident in every single bite. Overall, Yum Chinese and Thai has quickly become one of my favorite places. The combination of a great location, fantastic ambiance, and truly delicious food—from the comforting Yum Special Soup and Chow Min to the vibrant and flavorful Thai dishes—makes for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality meal in a wonderful setting.

Des Pardes Restaurant is a gem in Islamabad's vibrant culinary landscape, celebrated for its exquisite Mughlai and Continental offerings. Nestled in Sector E-11, this eatery is particularly famous for its delightful hi-tea sessions. The restaurant’s decor is a feast for the eyes, blending modern chic with rustic charm through colorful patterns and artistic touches that make it perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy moments.
The overall experience was wonderful, thanks to the charming, aesthetic environment of the village. It’s a perfect spot to relax and enjoy quality time with friends and family. The place beautifully captures deep, scenic moments and is a popular tourist attraction, preserving cultural heritage while offering a memorable visit. As for the food, while a bit on the expensive side, it's still good enough to enjoy.

While visiting Saidpur village, stopped at this wonderful restaurant. Very well decorated with flowers and flags of many countries including mine. Had a cup of tea only. Great service and friendly staff. This restaurant has a private dining room for privacy if needed.

The desi food was delicious. We ordered achari handi and reshmi seekh kebab, which were melt in your mouth yummy. A cheese pizza was not as good. The ambience is lovely. Service was slow even though it wasn't busy.
Saman A — Google review
Lovely atmosphere with some standout dishes Des Pardes has a beautiful, unique vibe. When we arrived, there were small boutique stalls selling handmade jewellery and honey, and a musician playing live flute which set such a charming tone. The lighting and ambience were perfect, a real 10/10 setting. The food had some highlights too. The Afghan Qabuli Pulao was delicious and the paratha was honestly the best I’ve had in years. The Desi Murgh was undercooked at first, but the staff did correct it quickly, even if it lost a little of its flavour the second time. Service was friendly but stretched since the place was busy. Still, the atmosphere and a few standout dishes really carried the experience. If you’re looking for a memorable setting with some gems on the menu, it’s worth visiting.

I am Mustafizur Rahman from Bangladesh and I had the pleasure of dining at Des Pardes Restaurant during my visit in Pakistan. It was truly a memorable experience! The ambiance beautifully reflects traditional Pakistani culture with stunning decor and warm lighting. The food was absolutely delicious, rich in authentic flavors. The staff were incredibly polite, professional, and welcoming. They even surprised me with complementary dishes and a lovely traditional truck art gift! A must-visit spot in Islamabad for anyone craving a genuine taste of Pakistan.

I'm sorry to didn't captured pics and shoot inside the restaurant but outside space and near by area in the venue (Said Pur) is so beautiful. Set plan for explore the area and comeback to the restaurant to relax and take accordingly. Prices are significantly high as compare to area...I don't know what is the reason behind that🤔

This restaurent is in saidpur village islamabad and we had iftaar buffet here along with family. The BBQ was awesome 👌 along with mutton karahi. The fish fry was just ok. The overall taste for the buffet was good. Price was reasonable as well 3500 per person and we had 2 child's aged 9 and 3 which were waived off. Also the ambiance was good at night 🌙 The washroom was way way far and should be inside the restaurent.

Des Pardesi Restaurant in Islamabad is an absolute gem! The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfectly blending traditional Pakistani vibes with modern comfort. Me and my friend went there and tried their butter chicken handi, where do I even begin? The aroma alone is enough to send you into a state of pure bliss – a symphony of spices mingling with the rich, creamy scent of butter. The first bite is like a warm hug; the chicken is so tender it practically melts in your mouth, and the sauce... oh, the sauce! It's a velvety, dreamy concoction that coats your tongue with a burst of flavor. Honestly, I'm drooling just thinking about it. It's a dish that transcends mere food; it's an experience. It's comfort, joy, and pure culinary perfection all rolled into one handi. If you haven't tried it, you absolutely must. Your taste buds will thank you! 👍👍👍👍👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Nice little place in basement. Good if you are alone and want to have good food at reasonable prices. I tried their thali, which was excellent and awaara kanwara combination, which was just OK. So thali is highly recommended. Also you get to see old movie posters, sports superstar posters and posters of other celebrities all around you. Another day tried their Desi Breakfast Thali. Really good taste and good food included (2 fried eggs, one paratha, chanay curry, aaloo curry and halwa. Very surprisingly no tea or water included. Those had to be ordered and paid for separately.

Nestled in the heart of F-6 Islamabad, The Smokey Cauldron is a unique dining spot that draws inspiration from the magical realm of Harry Potter. The restaurant's exterior is meticulously crafted to resemble an eerie old castle, complete with brick walls, towering ceilings, weathered black chimneys, and imposing iron rod doors. This themed eatery stands out as a one-of-a-kind establishment in the area and offers an intriguing dining experience for visitors.

A place that is invaluable! For any Harry Potter fan, this place is the best thing ever!!! From the Themed interior to the menu, everything's a Potter head's dream. The floating candles, the ministry of magic phone booth, the stairs that creek!!!! (taking me straight to the third book of Harry Potter), the hanging chandeliers, the wall with a page of the books printed on it!, the door, the hats, the cloaks, and sooooo much more. I'm just overwhelmed by the beauty and magic of this place. They've succeeded in capturing the essence of what the Harry potter universe is like. The cafe is a screaming embodiment of the emotion you ahve while watching the movies and reading the books. Magical I tell you! The food was good but I wish the portion size was bigger! But I forgive all for the ambiance and only the ambiance. I wish it sees lots of business and much much more success.

I do not recommend this place, I ordered Thai Beef Salad. The item did not match the description, they used raw leftover materials. As you can see in the pic there was a small slim stone in the food too. I through it away. complained to manager sameer abbassi, got a poor response from him.

La Terrazza is a restaurant that has been visited twice, providing a fantastic experience. It is situated on the Balcony of Centaurus and offers an always pleasant environment, especially during good weather. The food and service are excellent, with fresh and well-presented dishes such as pasta and beef chili. Although the availability of dishes may be slightly concerning, the quality of what is offered is great. The waiters and staff are friendly and courteous.
I had a truly delightful experience at this restaurant. The Merry Me Chicken was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked, while the Pina Colada Matcca Coffee was a refreshing and unique treat that paired beautifully with the meal. The service was excellent staff were attentive, polite, and made sure everything was served on time. Highly recommend this place for anyone who appreciates great food, creative drinks, and warm hospitality.

Ambience was fine, no doubt, but everything else was disappointing. The iftar had very limited options, and even those lacked good taste. Both quantity and quality were poor. The service was extremely slow and unprofessional—we asked for tea, and it arrived after an hour. The staff was also inflexible; we had planned for 22 people, but one couldn't make it. Instead of adjusting, they charged us for the full buffet and created unnecessary arguments. Overall, the experience was not worth the money.

My first visit to La Terrazza was back in Sep 2024. Since then been a regular. What I like about the place, besides a beautiful terrace arrangement facing majestic margalla hills, is that they everything for everyone. I'm myself a meat lover and I have tried like all of their meat menu and not a single time I experienced disappointment. A friend of mine is big time chicken 'n pasta lover and he's just a fan now. If you are coffee person do visit as they have very good variety of it. Much recommended guys. Do visit. You won't be disappointed.

I had steak here once, and I haven’t been able to stop bringing it up every time I have steak elsewhere. The food was brilliant, the service was spot on, and when it got chilly out on the balcony, they brought us blankets. One of my best restaurant experiences in Islamabad.
Aamir A — Google review
Ambiance is very nice. And staff is also very professional and cooperative. Variety in menu . Kids menu also available. But the main issue is that most items don't match the place for their taste. They have to improve taste when charging high. Food standard doesn't matches high prices. And as it is a family restaurant they should have separate place for sheesha lovers. It disturbs family and kids . Overall ok experience.

- I ordered their stuffed pineapple chicken and garlic butter steak along with strawberry chiller and pina colada. The order was taken with so much detail and carefully delivered as ordered. The ambience along with the presentation and taste made me give it five stars. - The terrace gives you the view of islamabad, Margalla hills and Faisal Mosque all at once. - The ambience is great and the place is quiet and private completely opposite to what the food court of Centaurus would've offered. Great experience. - Keep up the good work.

Not recommended based on the serving quantity. We ordered the most popular Kabli Pulao, Chicken Pulao, and other items listed in the attached bill. However, the quantity was unexpectedly low. For the prices they charge, the portion sizes should be more generous. It’s simply not justified

Tried their Afghani Tikka, Mutton Karahi, and Chicken Karahi along with Afghani Naan. The Afghani Tikka was flavorful and well-cooked, and the Chicken Karahi was also quite good. However, the Mutton Karahi didn’t stand out. Overall, if you're visiting, I’d definitely recommend trying their Afghani Tikka.
Muhammad A — Google review
Kabul Restaurant in Bahria Phase 7 offers authentic Afghan cuisine. The standout dishes include their flavorful Kabuli Pulao, a classic Afghan dish made with fluffy rice, cardamom, saffron, and tender lamb, priced around Rs. 1,200. Another highlight is the Afghani Tikka, made from fine beef and lamb fat, served hot, and priced at Rs. 850 for half a dozen pieces. The Beef Tikka is also a must-try. The ambiance is pleasant but lacks thematic consistency to fully capture the essence of Kabul. The service can be slow, but the staff is generally friendly. To make the most of your visit, stick to their specialty dishes like Qabli palao Beef tikka.
Nauman K — Google review
I ordered Qabuli Pulao the taste was really good every thing was perfectly cooked. Only reason for 3 star is the quantity according to the price plus the tax 200 tax for 1150 Qabuli pulao. The meat was very well cooked but the piece given was 60% fat (چربی ). They serve it with daal and a big piece of kofta which was really good just quantity was less.

Thanks to the courteous staff I got to sit in the small cabin with floor cushions all around, in the pashtun traditional way. The tikkas were well cooked and tasty, the karahi was excellent, with hot piping naans, I had a great meal. Thank you and keep up the standard. Please do consider playing traditional KP music like Rubab, live or on a stereo. Best wishes

Islamabad International Airport

Permanently Closed
International airport
Islamabad International Airport boasts a modern 180,000 square meter terminal designed to accommodate 9 million passengers and 80,000 tons of cargo annually, with plans to expand to serve 25 million passengers by 2024. The airport features commercial facilities including duty-free shops, a hotel, convention center, shopping malls, business center, food courts and entertainment options. It offers round-the-clock security with strict measures such as full body searches and surveillance cameras.
Islamabad International Airport is modern, clean, and well-organized. The architecture is impressive with spacious terminals, natural lighting, and clear signage. Security checks are efficient, and immigration staff is generally cooperative and polite. Facilities like baggage handling, seating areas, washrooms, prayer rooms, and lounges are well-maintained. The availability of food outlets and currency exchange services makes it convenient for travelers. Parking is ample and accessible. Overall, a great experience for both domestic and international travelers – definitely one of Pakistan’s best airports.
Shafiq E — Google review
I visited Islamabad International Airport recently to drop off my uncle. The overall environment was pleasant and well-organized. The parking area is wide and easy to access, with enough space even during busy hours. There are proper sitting areas where you can wait comfortably, surrounded by green grass and flowers that give a fresh look. The place is neat, clean, and well-maintained. Security checking is smooth and staff are cooperative, which makes the experience better

small airport compared to other asian airports. entry was a bit difficult as i was questioned a lot since i wasnt pakistani. they even did a bag search on me and almost tore my shoes up because it had dust on it from a hike i did in oman. i begged him not to tear my shoes and he finally let it go. exit was easy but check in and security lines are long
Abu B — Google review
It’s a beautiful spacious and so clean airport. Staff is nice n supportive. Services overall are fast and friendly. Wall art near luggage area is just awesome! New amenities and features should be added consistently to make it more convenient and world class.
Maliha M — Google review
Islamabad Airport looks modern at first glance, but the actual experience is disappointing. The parking and outer area are chaotic whether you’re arriving or departing. It’s packed with people and taxi scammers, creating unnecessary stress before you even enter the building. Inside, security checks are slow, and queues are long. The staff at check-in counters are often rude and lack basic customer service. Waiting areas and lounges are not enough for the number of passengers. The worst part is if your flight is delayed, canceled, or diverted. There’s no proper support system. Offices are usually closed, and even when open, staff are unhelpful and arguments are common. Seating is also limited, especially during long waits. On the bright side, the terminal’s architecture is impressive, and the interior is clean and air-conditioned. But sadly, that’s not enough to cover up the major flaws. Overall, this airport needs serious improvement in management, staff behavior, and passenger services.

I visited twice. Once to receive my father's sister who came from Karachi & then my sister's Mother-in-law & Father-in-law as they came back after doing Umrah. Their fans are super air blower honestly. It felt like there are strong winds outside but it was the fan actually. Other than that, I checked both domestic and international receiving/arrivals point. Added all of the images and videos of my visits. Today, it was a bit bad experience because of some taxi drivers when I was trying to park the car. They were like there just to fight. Initially, I remained silent but when I got angry he stopped fighting. Note, do show extreme anger if someone tries to fight. Airport is very good. View is very good. Place is very good. Flower petals are not allowed so please don't bring them as they just put over work on workers. There is a board too with sign of it but still people get them along there. Thanks.

I came from the UK with E Visa and they have been keeping me for half an hour without telling me what to do next. They had checked all of my documents, return flight ticket, my friend’s wedding address and her family, her number, her husband number. I just visit for my friend’s wedding but it’s seems very complicated and they seem not know to handle my case. There are a few people also having to wait with me and we don’t know what are we waiting for and what is the next step. It’s is unprofessional as people keep calling each other, call many people and seems don’t know how to sort things out. They even ask me to send the wedding invitation via one of the officer’s WhatsApp, ask to call with my friend and ask for my friend’s husband phone number. That is very personal information that I have to accept to show them. They keep rolling me around with different kiosks and even laugh at me :)). ???? I’m very speechless with the attitude. My friend’s family have been waiting for me 1 hour and this is really upset me. I understand that is their job to check me carefully but there is no guidance or note that I need to provide this personal information when I apply for E visa. So apparently they just check whatever they want. I have been travelling to other countries with visa and none of them are this complicated. I got the apology from 1 officer so I don’t show their faces here as my last respect. Not recommended to visit if you hold a foreign passport.
