Starting at Adventure Park and walking to the Koloiki lookout and back takes about 2 and a half hours. The lookout is a gorgeous view of Moloka'i and Maui as well as the gulches and valleys of Lana'i. Koloiki shares a part of Munro trail to get to the lookout. The trail has some up and down and isn't too challenging. For a more challenging hike the Kaiholena Trail follows the tree ridge line and starts on the Koloiki (after the water reservoir) and ends near the lookout. The trail is marked by pink tape on trees. The adventure park caretakers can help if you need directions.

100% an access road for 4 seasons activities outrageously labeled as a hiking path. This 10' wide bulldozed path has all the excitement of walking down a native Hawaiian's driveway. When signs tell pedestrians to yield for off road vehicles then the priorities are clear for the path. Only an exciting hike for someone that would stay at a 4 seasons, but the view at the end is pretty cool.

Great hike. The trees make for great shade most of the way, and the views at the end are amazing.

It was a wonderful hike. The payoff was the view at Mile 2. At some points of the trail could be a little slick if it rains . Unless you are staying on the island of Lanai, you have to take the ferry ⛴️ over and take a little drive to get to the trailhead.

Nothing much to do. One is enough, and need to book a tour if you want to visit the whole island . One way 10 dollar . The beaches are good with good crystal clear water . Good for relaxing . There is a small lake by the beach , good for snorkeling

Ocean Riders Adventure Tours took us out for the day. Shipwrecks, royal burial sights, blowholes, turtles, whales, secluded beaches, fresh fruit for breakfast, awesome deli spread for lunch, no other boats crowding the snorkeling spots, circumnavigate the island, FUN boat ride. Great way to see Lanai. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This island has an interesting story to tell and great hikes. Let her introduce herself to you and you explore. Might just be my new favorite island.

Lana'i Culture and Heritage Center is a great experience for tourists who thirst for a knowledge and history of the island. The Dole story is very unique and worth the visit itself.

A must do while on Lanai, very informative pictures and artifacts along with some beautiful art and a quilt that is all hand sewn. Some very interesting history and knowledgeable staff. Pay heed to the hours of operation.

Great park!! Especially nice in the middle of town across from the restaurants and with plenty of parking. There's a softball field and playground equipment for kids, and a nice area to rest and hang out

Dole Park is simply a square of land with a bunch of tall trees in the center of Lana'i City. It is a great place to take a walk and unwind. There are picnic tables throughout. You can grab lunch at one of the local restaurants nearby or pickup some food at one of the two grocery stores surrounding the park. Relax and reminisce on what Lana'i must have been like when the island was in full swing of pineapple production.

This lovely park, lined with huge pines with the most unusual needles you ever saw is nestled in the heart of Lanai City, just behind the Lanai Cultural Center, where you can see this great mold board plow. Beautiful! The trees shade the picnic tables perfectly at the right time of day. See it! Adore it!

Simply beautiful and the cooler weather is a plus when you take in to much sun from the beach. The whole town is laid back and it's a nice chance from our everyday face paced life. Great times hanging with family.

Great little art gallery in Lana'i! So happy I got to stop by before my family left the Island! The owners/couple were so sweet when talking to me and my parents! I hope to come back the next time I'm in Lana'i. With love from Texas :)

We are so delighted this was our first stop on our holo-holo day trip to Lana’i. Cathy and Mike are clearly passionate about their own art and creations, as well as those of the other local artists that are on display in their gallery. We even got some local knowledge of places to eat and visit, such as Sweetheart Rock/Pu’u Pehe - definitely worth the trip. We even bought a painting by Mike of Pu’u Pehe which they’ll package and send to us. Also, the rapport between Cathy and Mike is couple goals! Left there with huge smiles on our faces.

If all art gallery experiences were like this, we would have a lot more support for the arts! Thoroughly enjoyed the art, ambience, interaction and stories. Wish that I could return. A must-do on any visit to Lanai.

Pleasant communication with this gallery. Beautiful items available. Shipping time was adequate (3-4days) but the cost seemed on the high side given it was inter-island and items were very small and light (1lb or less). Maybe this is just standard shipping cost for any parcels from Lanai no matter where it’s being sent to as I don’t know the postal situation there, but $35 still seemed very high. Although I really like what they have to offer and the customer service, the shipping costs will likely deter me from ordering more in the future.

This is a must see if you're in Lanai! I love the owners Mike and Kathy they are so friendly and even gave my wife and I a ride! We treasure the art we bought from here and look back at it with fondness remembering that trip! They really capture the spirit of Lanai and the beauty that is all around. You must check this place out!

My wife and I are so lucky to have gotten a chance to experience Mike and his wife's beautiful gallery. They are both fantastic people and are a perfect representation of the Lāna'i experience: down to earth and in touch with the things that truly matter!

Just finished the guided bike tour and had the best time! Totally on a whim this morning decided to jump on this with 30 minutes to be ready to leave the hotel and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I stepped off the shuttle Jerean, my guide, was there to welcome me. Kacy, the manager, was just inside and also super welcoming. Everyone had a smile and a good vibe so I knew I was in good hands. After a quick check-in and lesson on how to use the e-bike, we were off. About 14 miles round trip, I couldn't have asked for a better day or a better guide. I can't say enough about how friendly and professional Jerean was. I highly recommend this activity if you have a couple hours to spare while on the island 😁

We discovered this place right before our recent visit. Maria was great at describing all the different adventures offered. My husband and I picked the challenge course and we loved it. It was definitely challenging and so fun! AJ was our lead guide and Courtney was his helper . They were both very encouraging and we felt totally safe with AJ belaying us. Courtney took some videos and pictures of us too...fun to look at afterward. Doing the challenge course was definitely one of the highlights of our trip . We can't wait to come back and try some of the other activities too. I highly recommend . PS the gift shop has really nice things in it. I love the hoodie I bought and have worn it almost every day of my trip. :)

The “Reframing Resistance” workshop I attended at Lana’i Adventure Park was a life changing experience - the highlight of my trip, even though I stayed at one of the finest resorts in the world. Eric and AJ guided an intimate group through exercises that challenged us mentally, physically, and spiritually - and guided us through the fear and exhilaration every step of the way. I left a stronger, more resilient human. Could not recommend more highly!!!

Everything was good but something felt off. Being from Oahu, I expected a better custom service experience. The best I can describe it, It felt a bit cold. On the positive side, the food both for dinner and breakfast was great and the pricing is reasonable. And there's live music on most evenings.

The oysters and beet salad were also delicious. Highly recommend the smash burger. Justin and Ryan were both great. Such a warm place. The live music is a huge plus!

The *BEST* Breakfast on Lāna'i! The Pig Candy is best eaten with your fingers. Mochi Pancake is so delicious, no coconut syrup needed! French Toast is perfect. Loco Moco was decadent. Breakfast Burrito and array of salsas/sauces is very satisfying. Not pictured is the Breakfast Sandwich with venison sausage patty, which was inhaled before I could snap a pic! Don't skip out on the fresh juice blends -- the orange is bliss. Mahalo to Christian and the crew at LCBG for bringing bomb breakfast to the island! (Served Tuesday - Saturday @ 7-11am)

I got the Classic Breafast with the deer sausage which was amazing and the Guava jam was good as well. Our table split the ube pancakes and OMG I recommend to order those for any pancake lover!!! Please come here and try their food!!! I wish I could give them 10 stars.

We went to "Taco Tuesday" and it was amazing! The happy hour drinks specials were great and the pupus menu was amazing! They also had live music that was perfect. When we go back to Lana'i we will definitely go here for dinner again!

An amazing meal in a great setting. The menu had enough variety to please just about anyone, and everything we tried was fantastic. I particularly liked the poke tastada and the burger was great. The bone in pork and potatoes was super hearty and delicious too. The service was super friendly and the live music was fantastic. Can't recommend this place enough. One of the best meals we have had on any of the Islands, and that's a high bar.

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights at the beautiful Hotel Lanai where we had a beautiful lanai with rocking chairs and where we enjoyed our breakfasts. This island is totally different from Oahu. The temps are cooler since we’re at a higher elevation here in the city and the air is full of the scent of pine trees which are everywhere. We had Thanksgiving dinner, with live music, outside in the hotel’s tropical garden where countless delicious dishes continued to flow. I think the stuffing with macadamia nuts and dried fruits and the salad were my favs.

Prices are very reasonable and they have lots of stock the day we were there. Several varieties of Poke.

Nice little store. They have fresh poki bowls that did the trick for lunch.

This place has my favorite poké across the islands bar none - I always get their spicy ahi poké bowls whenever I visit. The store is the perfect size and they have plenty of things to get whether you're a local or visitor to Lāna'i. Great selection of essentials, produce, frozen items, beer and wine, and lunch items. While we stayed on Lanai we picked up poke bowls each day from Richard's. Very reasonably priced for a decent-sized lunch! And there's new choices of poke each day.

A lot of variety and good choice here - this well stocked little grocery has pretty much everything you need if you're staying on the island for a few days or longer. Prices weren't bad considering the nature of being remote. I'd shop here at home on the mainland if it were in my town.

The Supermarket in Lanai City. Maybe smaller than what you might be used to elsewhere, but has most things one would need. Considering that most items need to be shipped to the island, prices are quite reasonable. They have some prepared food for sale, Spam musubi, poke, sushi, bakery items. The poke is quite tasty, come is a variety of flavours and great for a packed lunch at the beach.

Local LANAI coffee shop is very convenient and packed VARIOUS COFFEE OPTIONS AND FOOD ITEMS with strong ESPRESSO. Blue Ginger Cafe was the perfect breakfast spot during our Lanai adventure! Everything is made with fresh ingredients, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The pancakes and French toast were incredible - moist, flavorful, and literally melt-in-your-mouth good. These weren't your average breakfast dishes - they were something special. The fresh juices were equally impressive - each one we tried was delicious and refreshing, perfect for a morning on the island. The cafe itself has a charming, welcoming atmosphere right in the heart of Lanai. It's exactly the kind of local gem you hope to find when exploring a new place.

Wife and I walked around and found blue ginger cafe. The Lanai omelet was excellent and good place if you want breakfast and coffee. You order pay first, then seat yourself. Would recommend if your looking to eat when you get off the ferry.

What a great little place to grab breakfast on Lana'i. I had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and my wife had the breakfast burrito. Both were very tasty!

Easy 5 stars. This luncheonette on the Lanai City town square was recommended by a tour driver, and boy did he ever have it right. Best club sandwich I've ever had in my life, with shoestring fries that were top notch themselves. Highly recommend. Menu pix are current as of July, 2024.

We had breakfast here before exploring the island. The staff was so kind, the food is good and the prices are fair. We learned here from their signs that the majority of the population on the island is Filipino which was interesting to learn!

This is a quaint little cafe that walks you back in time. When you step inside, you will feel the nostalgia of a different time in the past when time was slowed down. The menu has a lot to choose from. The teriyaki chicken is great. Enjoy either indoor or outdoor seating and also make sure to bring cash. Credit cards are not accepted at this location.

Sooo good!!! The pesto with shrimp is delicious. It has big shrimp and bay shrimp! Yummy. Chicken Parmesan was so fresh tasting like homemade. It is!

If you are looking for authentic, tasty food. This is the place for you. We had the house special for the day. We had a teriyaki style chicken as well as a roasted pork with tomatoes and onions and stewed pumpkin with green beans a little bit of pork! I also got a pineapple isle pizza which was probably the best pizza I've had thus far. Oh, and don't forget the fried rice!!! If you travel over to Lanai, I high suggest stopping in to see them. One of the best meals I've had on Lanai as well as Maui! Keep it up over there family!!! Amazing food. 6 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Picked this place out randomly and enjoyed the food. The Veggie Calzone was incredible. The combo plate was super hardy and wholesome. The macaroni salad was delicious. The only disappointment was the service. The cashier was not super helpful or friendly.

Some items are good, however NEVER ORDER a Philly cheese it was gross. Also the menu says $19 for a classico pizza. When I picked it up they charged me $26. Is there 25% tax on food here? When I asked they said their menu wasn't updated on prices. Also $26 for a 14 inch pizza is nuts, especially for mediocre food.

The teriyaki beef katsu was the most delicious thing that I have had in a long time. This was the only place that i found that item prepared that way. The service is really good and the cashier is really nice. I would love to go back and eat again

Great food. Great service. Prices are different than posted online so don’t be surprised if total is more than expected. During quarantine this has been my go to place. Call ahead and place your order then pick up, makes things go smoothly.

I enjoy eating at No Ka Oi Grindz. The portions are hefty and the environment is friendly. Their location is also convenient to my place of employment. One thing about eating here is that it is popular amongst the working community that during the lunch hour (11-noon) it gets really busy. If you happened to go after the lunch rush it's more than likely there will be nothing left on their hotline.

They have absolutely fabulous steak and eggs! Another great dish is the loco moco with kimchi sauce (i think they call it Erics special). Best plate lunch and on Lanai!

No joke, this was one of our favorite food stops of our entire vacation to Maui. We took a day trip to Lanai and stopped at the first restaurant we saw to get a bite to eat and we were so pleasantly surprised! The fish and chips were perfectly cooked and seasoned and they didn’t hold back on flavor with the halo halo. Word literally spread from table to table after one person tried the banana mochi- all of us on the tour ended up buying 4 or more each. I’d even say this was much better than the banana bread we had on the road to Hana. Staff was so friendly and warm, indoor and outdoor seating, and a clean bathroom- this is definitely a spot to visit when you’re on the island!

Made a quick trip over this weekend and was about to leave, but I wanted to try a quick bite of whatever was open. Luckily Ganotisis was open! I’m ordered the Korean chicken and WOW! it was only a few pictures but it filled me up plenty! I ordered it with rice and mac salad and that was a great side to combine the chicken with. I also ordered the iced caramel macchiato with regular sweetness and it hit just right. I was able to eat outside and watch the sunset go down on this beautiful city. Definitely will come back and recommend to others

Small family runners diner-cafe style. Ordered at register they bring food in environmental friendly to go paper boxes. I ordered adobo fried rice with 2sunny eggs. Be warned. That it is PORK adobo not chicken. It’s 3.5 stars decent My friend got spinach mushroom omelet with Portuguese sausage on side. Potatoes were blah. 3.5 Nice friendly aloha spirit. Wanted lunch menu but only breakfast at time.

Good local food. You can tell everything is fresh and handmade. Enjoyed the Ribs. I am picky about my Kim Chi, and it was good here. Place was clean, the staff was friendly and the food was good.

Oh. My. gAWD! Literally and I mean LiTERALLY the best Korean chicken and ribs I’ve EVER had. I am not sure what or how they season and cook this meat but is phenomenal. Don’t get me started on the fried oreo ala mode. All of it is ridiculously out of this world. If you are visiting Lāna‘I this restaurant is a MUST!

The banana bread mochi might be the best mochi I’ve ever had… and I’ve been to Japan several times. The texture was really unique and the flavor was out of this world. The ube matcha boba was pretty damn good too. Oh, and the mac salad is the best you’ll find on island. Very friendly staff. Five stars all around 😋

We flew to Lānaʻi from Oʻahu for a one-night getaway and had dinner at Nobu. The staff were absolutely wonderful—so kind and attentive—and the setting was gorgeous, making it feel like a really special date night. The only reason I’m leaving this review is to warn others about the Banana Toban Yaki dessert. It was delicious, but it came out extremely hot, and we weren’t warned beforehand. My partner luckily took a small bite and was fine, but I wasn’t as lucky. I burned the entire inside of my mouth, and it was painful that night and into the next day, with peeling inside my mouth and on my tongue. (I included a photo of my burnt and peeling tongue, although not pretty, to help paint the picture of my experience so other guests can avoid harm from the high temperature dishes.) It’s such a disappointing way to end an otherwise great dinner. I really hope the restaurant starts letting guests know about how hot the dessert is—it would easily prevent something like this from happening again.

Ordinary food for extraordinary price. I’ve given Nobo many tries around the world. It is consistently good, but the price tag is exorbitant. If the food were excellent, I’d be fine with it. But it’s not; it’s just good. That said, if it is the only choice around…get the crispy rice and the sliders. They’re both delicious. This particular location has some of the best views in the world.

EVERYTHING on this menu is spectacular. The most incredible seafood, delicate and fresh. The tuna salad sashimi and squid pasta is unreal. Squid pasta is delicately grilled squid, asparagus and squash, could no eat enough. Ambiance is perfect with an overlook of the ocean and staff is very friendly.

Five star for the flavors, service and ambiance! Less than five stars for the very small amount of tasty food and the very high cost. Seems like they might have more repeat business if the cost equaled the quantity served. I would not be surprised to spend many hundreds of dollars for two persons to actually feel satisfied. It’s too bad because the small ‘snacks’ are incredibly delicious! Make reservations, only open for dinner and bring a bank roll!

Wonderful delicious food; we had the omakase menu for $198 per person. Service was delightful and eating while the sunset was magical!

Beautiful setting. Go before the sunset to enjoy the view. It was a casual steakhouse and it was only steak house when we were in Lanai. Tbh, besides the view, it was just like any other high-end steak restaurants. Good part of it was that the most of the ingredients are sourced locally.

The view of this restaurant is incredible, it almost doesn't look real. If you go for breakfast get the lemon ricotta pancakes, they are out of this world. If you are going for dinner, the surf and turf burger with truffle fries is amazing. Service is also top notch. Thank you One Forty team!

Great food and service! A lot of the vegetables are locally produced on Lanai. We tried the butter lettuce salad from Sensei farms and loved it! Sweet potato geratin and catch of the day (red snapper) were good too

Get the breakfast buffet. It's expensive but Omg. Everything from fresh omelettes to charcuterie to to poke to congee. And of course all the fresh fruit you can want. For dinner the all food is outstanding, but I've would stick to seafood. All with a beautiful ocean view.

We loved the food here so much (much better than Nobu). The mushroom soup was on point, the lamb shank was amazing. The paperdelle noodles felt special - wider than normal which definitely added a nice taste. Highly recommend this place.

Great view, and the fish and chips were the best one I’ve ever had. Also there was a cute bird on our table eating our pretzel sticks

Sitting in its outdoor patio area gives you an unobstructed view of Hulopoe Beach. The food was delish. The trio of fish tacos was very good as were the Makai salad and the prawn BLT.

I love the food and service here. I usually get the spicy tuna on crispy rice or ceviche with ahi and cooked shrimps. The staff is always welcoming. The views are great of course. The BLT and ago sandwiches are great too.

Appropriately named! Nice, menu with some excellent choices. We didn't golf, but still enjoyed our meal and beverages. Not your typical golf course fare in a great way.

Great food and service. Anybody can eat here (with a reservation) although the other 4 seasons restaurants only serve hotel guests and lanai residents. Highly recommend this place!

I’m giving 4 stars because it’s still in Hawaii and has that Hawaiian vibe. Plus it has all the stuff you want and can expect in a relatively small airport. Decent food and shops. Bright and airy. And two Priority Pass lounges. Now, both lunges are sub-par compared to other airports, but at least they got ‘em! The tram to car rental system is good, quick, and well organized. The airport is easy to get in and out of. And they have all the major airlines you’d likely use. Aloha!

As expected, this is a small island airport, but it still has all the stores and services you need to make it a great starting point for your Maui adventures. Like many others have mentioned, it features an excellent tram service that takes you directly to the rental car facilities. We left our rental car in the public parking lot for one day while we visited the Big Island and ended up paying a steep $36 the next day. Another helpful tip is that there’s a Walmart just a 5-minute drive from the airport, perfect for stocking up on water, juices, fruits, snacks, and sweets to make your road trips around the island even more enjoyable, such as the Road to Hana. What really set this airport apart compared to others was the outstanding service we received from Monica at United Airlines, along with a very friendly senior security officer on the day of our departure. Thank you so much, Monica, for making our check-in so smooth, hats off to you!

A lot of the walkways and passages are outdoor and full of birds. Be ready to sweat! 😂 Also the stores seem to close around 5-6pm so if you're traveling during the evening then you're going to be hungry. Or you can pay ~$20 for some Burger King. Beyond that it's a decent airport.

Simple airport to navigate with a great tram system that takes you to the rental car area. The terminal, and bathrooms along the way, were clean and we walked to a central hub that had a Starbucks and other shops. Heading down the baggage claim was easy to find and our bags were already coming out by the time we arrived. We rented a car from Hertz so we jumped across the street to catch the tram that took us to the rental car area. It was maybe a 5 minute ride, at most.

This airport is small, but still great place. I took SFO to Maui and maui to SFO it was really chill United Airlines. I took them. It was really nice. Very small airport though that’s the only thing. got out of that airport quick.

I travel a lot, but this airport is one of the most relaxed in the world! Old but clean with a nice charming character.

Great little airport, with actually quite friendly and helpful staff. It's strange flying 5hrs over the ocean and it still being an "internal" flight. We had hired a car when we arrived and given the compact size of the airport it was worth dropping the luggage off with my wife curbside and me doing a quick loop to return the car. It's a 3 minute walk to the departures terminal or you could ride the green tram which might be quicker, but that depends on the timing. We used the tram to transport us and our luggage to collect the hire car, but the arrivals terminal is further away.
