Theaters
Nestled along the picturesque banks of the St. Lawrence River in Gananoque, Ontario, the Thousand Islands Playhouse is a must-visit for culture enthusiasts. This charming waterfront venue boasts two theatres that host an array of live performances from comedies to musicals and children's shows during the vibrant Summer and Fall seasons. The intimate Springer Theatre, with its vintage canoe club vibe and air-conditioned comfort, accommodates up to 360 guests while offering stunning views from its expansive decks.
Beautiful theatre in a picturesque location. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable! Perfect venue for the NTS Dramafest!
Leslie D — Google review
Recently attended a performance of Mary Poppins with my neighbour. The musical is based more closely on the books than the film, and was altogether delightful! The venue itself is a real gem, perched over the water, with mooring spots right there if you want to attend by boat. The Theatre is an excellent size to host meaningful performances. There are no bad seats! And while the stage initially seems quite small, it is amazing how a good sized troupe, such as that involved in Mary Poppins managed to sing and dance all over the place without any apparent compromise! Performers generally are "miked", so it is a little hard to tell about the acoustic qualities of the hall. Generally however, there were no problems with hearing dialogue. If the TIP regularly provides quality entertainment as I witnessed in Mary Poppins, I would gladly attend other performances there. The only downside to this venue is that there is no parking except for Wheelchair accessible spots. So you have to arrive early enough to drive all around looking for a legal spot to leave the car. A bit of a strain on the local citizens, I would think.
Lyndsay L — Google review
It was my first time visiting and I wasn't sure what to expect. We saw Mary Poppins and absolutely loved it. It was every bit as goox as any broadway show I've seen in Toronto or NYC. I had a hard time understanding the speaking, i thought it was me, but my daughter and granddaughter both said the same thing. The acoustics, or our location close to the speakers, perhaps. We've purchased tickets to another show, so i will update if we have the same problem. The band is downstairs, so you can't see it, but they were great as well. The location is beautiful, and we had enough time before the show to enjoy the scenery. The staff was friendly and helpful, telling us which line would be best for our seats. We had to ask some people at the other theatre by the road where to go, our show was down the driveway to the left and in behind. There is no parking except for patrons, we were there nearly 2 hours early, and we still got the last spot at the end of one if the side streets. Overall it was a great experience and I'm looking forward to seeing 9 to 5 in a, few weeks.
Monique B — Google review
Wow! Saw Mary Poppins last night and we were flabbergasted by the talent of this cast, the music, and set design and transitions. Broadway quality at a fraction of the price. If we could take everyone we know to this performance I'm sure there would be a lot of the same reviews. Loved it! Kudos to the entire cast and crew. Spectacular venue was the icing on the cake.
Robin J — Google review
I highly recommend seeing Stag and Doe! The entire cast did an amazing job, making it a truly fun and lighthearted night out. As someone with a mobility issue, I was especially impressed with the staff's service. We arrived early to get ahead of any parking issues, and a staff member was there to help us right away. The check-in process was seamless, and we were brought to our seats immediately. A staff member explained that they would store my walker during the performance, but assured me it would be available anytime I needed it. It was such a great experience, from the hilarious show to the accommodating staff.
Emily B — Google review
I just got home from the Springer Theatre after seeing 9-5. Both my husband (who generally doesn’t love musicals!) and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Many of the scenes actually caused me to laugh so hard, I had tears in my eyes! Extremely talented cast….the singing, the dancing and the dialogue were extremely well done. So much fun! What a great way to spend an evening. Absolutely recommend it.
Agnes R — Google review
We visited the TIP for the first time this weekend to see a friends' performance in "9-5"!!! Show and cast were phenomenal! Lovely setting and such beautiful views from the back deck! Highly recommend a visit!
Cara L — Google review
I’ve now had the pleasure of seeing four productions at the Thousand Islands Playhouse - Into the Woods (2016), The Sound of Music (2023), Mamma Mia! (2024), and most recently, Mary Poppins (2025). Each one has been nothing short of phenomenal. The talent on stage is truly remarkable, and the level of production - from set design to the costumes to the music, consistently exceeds expectations. You can tell how much passion and care goes into every detail. On top of that, the theatre is so charming & perfectly intimate - it’s riverside location only adds to the magic. The view alone feels like a treat - peaceful, picturesque, and the perfect way to begin or end your visit. It is such a gift to have a theatre of this calibre so close to home.

My family and I enjoyed the museum. Lots of cool things to read about and look at. We had our 3 year old daughter with us, and there was plenty of stuff for her to enjoy and interact with too. Would recommend it for any ages. Donation given to enter.
Tatyana B — Google review
Interesting exhibits and quaint little gift shop. Clean public restrooms. A welcome escape from the brutal July heat wave. Nice covered adjacent patio for watching the watercraft on the river.
Juliet M — Google review
First of all, the staff were friendly and helpful. It was really interesting to learn more about the history of the 1000 Islands. The exhibits are beautiful and well presented. Make sure to visit before 3 p.m., as the store closes at 4 p.m. Please consider donating to this wonderful museum, they truly deserve it! 🫶🏻
Marie — Google review
What a warm and friendly welcome from the staff! It’s a small area but covers a lot of ground. The museum has no entrance fee but relies on donations from its patrons. There’s a gift shop as well that features a lot of locally-made items. The model ships are extraordinary! A lot of history to take in all at once; it’s nice to feel a part of something “big”.
Emily H — Google review
Highly recommended! We had a wonderful visit, thanks to Julie who gave us a guided tour full of stories and fun facts 👍 You can do it before or after the City Cruise 🚢 We did it after the cruise and it really brought it (the town) alive for us!! Enjoy 😊
Wendy S — Google review
Unfortunate “welcome” from a woman volunteer with smug rather rude comments. Second floor has interesting posters on local history. Designed for school groups but interesting nonetheless. First floor empty. Perhaps in renovation? Worth a brief stop.
Kent H — Google review
By donation and a very interesting snapshot of local ecology and history.
Kristian G — Google review
An interesting and entertaining small museum right next to the docks. We’ve enjoyed our time here. They also have temporary exhibition on a ground level, which we hadn’t have time to see. A small gift shop also available. Admission by donation. Very welcoming staff!

Joel Stone Heritage Park

Park
Nature & Parks
Joel Stone Heritage Park is a relaxed beachside locale with open green space for recreation, a band shell, and historical monuments. It's conveniently located near Gananoque's waterfront attractions and scenic walking paths. The park offers fantastic sunset views of the St Lawrence River and is named after Joel Stone, the father of Gananoque. Visitors can enjoy the lush lawns, wildflowers, and a lovely variety of colors at The Purple House Cafe nearby.
Nice park with good waterfront views. Came for a walk through the park while in town for lunch a few weeks ago, there is a nice path that follows the waterfront through, and loops up to a loghthouse and large flagpole and back around. There's a beach and playground in the park as well as an amphitheater and a fair amount of open space. There's also a monument to the history of the region, which is cool to read. Parking could be a bit difficult, spots near the park fill fast, and are skinny, so it can be tough to get in or out of. Overall, it was a nice place to visit, I'd recommend it here.
Andrew F — Google review
Lovely spot with a splash park, small beach and amazing walk path. It was a bit chilly so we could not stay too long. I can't wait to return in the summer. Perfect place for nice pictures!!
Sandy T — Google review
Very nice place to be. Gananoque is very rich in history and Joel Stone Heritage park defenatly one of them. I really enjoyed my visit here and I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice time out specially during the Covid 19. I would also recommend the 1000 Island boat line tour.
Premjee P — Google review
This is a busy little park near the waterfront which offers beautiful views of the river and passing water crafts. There is a tiny man made sandy beach and a small water park and playground for the kiddos.
Juliet M — Google review
A small but a very cute park! Amazing view of water. Several benches to sit on and relax.
TheFatelessHero — Google review
Beautiful historic site with marina, park and splash pad. Gananoque is stunning, lots to see and do. We rented kayaks and got to see some of the surrounding islands. A very picturesque town with friendly people. Would love to come back.
Sadaf L — Google review
A perfect place to sit and relax with a picnic as you watch the boats cruise along the river. The park offers swimming, enough space to take a calming walk, a splash pad if you have young ones (or are young at heart) and an ice cream truck. Definitely recommend this park for a sunny day.
Carbon L — Google review
Very friendly and an amazing park for the families. There is a beach, fun splash pad for kids to play during summer, and numerous benches for picnic and lots of trees to sit in the shade.

Really cool place to learn about shipping and then enjoy a refreshment or two at the Boatshop Cafe while watching the water craft floating by. The server was super friendly and welcoming. It’s a coffee shop as well as a bar with indoor seating and an outdoor shaded patio.
Juliet M — Google review
So we stopped to get our tickets for the 3 hour tour with City Cruises in Gananoque. The town is nice enough to provide free motorcycle & E bike parking directly in front. BUT when we arrived a person who is with the Boat Museum had been kind enough to park her SUV in the bike parking!! When I asked her to move, she VERY rudely stated "we have many cases of beer to unload and they took away "MY" loading zone." That does NOT mean you park illegally. When my Irish Lass advised her I am a disabled Vet, her male companion stated so I am a veteran too!!! VERY poor representation of the Boat Museum!!!
Keswick7732 — Google review
I had a wonderful experience at the Gananoque Boat Museum. The exhibits are well maintained and thoughtfully displayed, with clear explanations that bring the history of each boat to life. I especially recommend joining a guided tour — ours was led by April, who was absolutely fantastic. She showed us two beautifully preserved luxury boats, walking us through the dock, parlour, master bedroom, guest rooms, and captain’s helm. April shared fascinating details about the history and the clever, intricate design of the furniture, and she answered all of our questions with warmth and expertise. Her passion and knowledge truly elevated the experience. I highly recommend visiting the museum — and if you can, take a tour with April!
Elaine S — Google review
We stopped here on our way to Toronto Ontario. It was a hot day and the kids enjoyed the splash pad. We took a nice Walk and the views of water, green grass and boats.
Sabah K — Google review
Interesting and well presented museum. A one hour tour of the surrounding area on a beautiful vintage speed boat was absolutely fantastic.
Nancy M — Google review
Parker and April were so knowledgeable and friendly during our boat tour! We plan to come back and do it again and bring friends…
Valerie R — Google review
While I can't speak for the boat museum, they have a great little cafe with some indoor/outdoor comfortable lounge seating overlooking the docks. The girls working were sweet and helpful. Perfect for a relaxing coffee stop!!

This cozy eatery boasts an eclectic menu filled with globally inspired dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients. Whether you're in the mood for hearty breakfast bowls, gourmet sandwiches, or vibrant salads—Laverne's has something to satisfy every palate, including vegan options.
The food here is really well-made, everything was so good. You can tell they really put in the care. Sad that they ran out of the smoked brisket and Charleston waffles. But the stuffed croissant as the replacement was delicious — I really liked the garlicky pesto inside with the bacon and egg.
Karen L — Google review
Had Sunday lunch there. Restaurant was very quiet and indeed had this family business vibe. Food was good/OK. Smoked salmon bagel & "The pan" were good. Found omlett to be a bit dry. Staff is indeed not super cheerful and service was a bit slow.
Thomas D — Google review
Beautiful, fun, trendy, cozy, comfy, well decorated little place with excellent coffee, and what looks like an excellent breakfast and nice assortment of pastries. Has bistro seating out front and an outdoor patio off to the side. Most of the staff seemed friendly however... our server was a kid who was very slow and dopey and looked like your stereotypical "doesn't care about anything, zero motivation" teenager often depicted in television. We came in at open and asked our server first before sitting that we had to leave by 8:50 to catch our cruise and asked if that was reasonable expectation for breakfast. He spoke to someone behind the counter and came back and seated us. We ordered right away (as we made up her mind looking at the menu posted out front before we even walked in) and were the first to place an order and the only variation to the meal was over easy instead of poached eggs. At 8:48 the kid came back and said "we can't do your eggs that way", again not looking like he cared or was even awake yet for the day. At 8:50 I cancelled the meal before anything was even out on the grill. He said mine was the first order placed. I can see that only mushrooms were chopped and not yet even cooked. Nothing was yet cooked. We paid for our coffee, which was good, but we never got to try anything else. Lady behind the counter apologized and she seemed sincere but that kid who "served" us just doesn't belong in the service industry.
Collin M — Google review
This place is very charming, with odd decorations and lovely plants hanging throughout. Very quaint and comfy - I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was confusing walking in as there wasn't clear direction on what to do if I wanted to sit down to eat and no one to greet customers. Service was slow but polite. The food was very good and I would love to come back again to try more. I was very sad that French Toast was not on the menu. I have posted photos of the menu from today. Both meals we had were awesome.
Dani — Google review
Perfect place for breakfast. Coffee was excellent. Definitely my new go-to for a chill morning bite in here. The vibe was also warm and welcoming, with friendly staff.
Anahita A — Google review
We ordered the French toast and omelette; both were absolutely delicious! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The only small downside was that the food took a bit long to be served, but aside from that, everything was perfect for starting the day!
Mahtab D — Google review
A really popular spot for brunch, and rightly so. Excellent and beyond-the-norm menu, and they deliver with terrific dishes! Service can be on the slow side but it's staff dependent. My only bug-bear is the online reservation system. I did not get a text confirmation and when I called the voice mail mailbox - no one picked up - was full.
John M — Google review
Had a wonderful lunch experience and the service was fantastic. I had the Farm girl plate being vegetarian which was great. The young staff also made my day. A touch from heaven.

BEAUTIFUL!!!! My husband and I are so so happy with this memorial experience! The pilot was so polite, explained the details of the place while on flight and Cathy (reception staff) was extremely nice and helpful. Their hospitality was great. 😊✨

Absolutely incredible experience! Captain Quinn was a delight as he shared his knowledge of the area while providing an excellent flight over awe inspiring views of the incredible land and water scape!

Absolutely loved it!!! It was our first time in a helicopter and it was absolutely surreal. The scenery was incredible in the 1000 islands, our pilot was superb in describing various islands and telling stories about the bootlegger and shipwreck past. We would definitely do it again! By the way, everything was amazing from end to end, from the point of purchase through to the after-flight care. Two thumbs up!
Pamela P — Google review
This was such a bucket list experience! From start to finish, the staff and pilot were so fabulous, especially with us being nervous. As someone who was initially nervous, do it! It's so worth it! The views are fab, the commentary is interesting, and the landing was better than any airplane flight I've had.

The establishment boasts a picturesque patio with picnic tables and string lights, providing an ideal setting to relish their handcrafted beverages.
Excellent beer choice and knowledgeable bar tender, I tried all 7 beers they have, each one was well made and quite nice and different. My fav still goes to the IPA, second place goes to their Scottish ale!
Feng L — Google review
A great historic spot serving awesome beers. 5 house brews and some guest taps ensure there’s something for every beer enthusiast. They also offer other great choices for the non-beer drinkers in your group. Earl was excellent in explaining the history of the building, the choices of beers and answered all our questions enthusiastically. They don’t serve food but allow any outside food to brought in and consumed on premises. They even have the choices of nearby restaurants listed… If you’re in Gananoque and love beer… be sure to pop in… you won’t be disappointed!
Dan S — Google review
Friendly service. Decent brewery ! If you’re in town you must stop here. There is a patio so you can easily enjoy a couple of beers under the sun. Worth the detour if you’re on the 401. I recommand this place if you’re a beer amateur.
Bobby T — Google review
Delicious beers, charming patio, great staff. Josh took great care of us while we chilled at one of their fire tables for the evening, sampled tasting sizes and pints of their creations, chatted with some local customers and met a couple of dogs. I regret not being able to make it to their Oktoberfest event, but I will be back!

The town of Gananoque is a hidden gem in the 1000 Islands region. We found many local stores and restaurants. One of them was this local brewery where Josh made us feel very welcome and suggested some great beers to try. The complimentary popcorn was a nice touch.

Made the detour from the 401 just to get some to go beers and support a little local Brewery. The building is old and historic, the young lady was very nice and helpful. The beers are excellent.

Riva is a charming restaurant located in Gananoque, offering rustic Italian cuisine and a selection of wines. Situated in a beautifully renovated historic building, the restaurant features high ceilings, a grand fireplace, and a warm bar area. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor garden patio for an al fresco dining experience. The menu includes Italian dishes like Spaghetti Aglio Olio and Sicilian Seafood Stew, as well as Canadian-inspired options such as Lobster Roll and Steak Frites.
Everything from beginning to end was outstanding. The ambiance, the service, the FOOD! Oh my gosh, I will be dreaming of the calamari for weeks. The garlic aioli was to die for. The lobster roll was excellent, they used the best parts of the lobster and they didn’t scrimp. My mom had the smoked meat sandwich and loved it. I highly recommend Riva and will definitely come back!

I had the most wonderful evening at this rustic Italian restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere and ambiance set the perfect tone — cozy, inviting, and absolutely charming. The food was delicious, each dish bursting with authentic flavour, and the desserts were nothing short of delectable — the perfect sweet ending to a memorable meal. But what truly made the evening exceptional was the service. Alyssa was absolutely phenomenal — attentive, warm, and intuitive without ever being intrusive. She made us feel genuinely cared for, and her impeccable service elevated the entire experience. Everything was on point, from start to finish, and I could not have been happier. This is the kind of place that leaves you not only satisfied but also looking forward to your next visit. A true gem. 💎

The restaurant is super cute and has a homey atmosphere. We ordered three different pastas, the squid ink, gnocchi, and cavatelli, all three were delicious. We also tried the calamari and tiramisu…the calamari wasn’t over cooked and I can understand why the tiramisu (not captured) is a popular item!

Excellent Italian Food – Worth the Stop! My husband and I are on a road trip and made a stop in Gananoque, where we found this beautiful and elegant Italian restaurant. The space is stylish and well-designed, creating a lovely dining atmosphere. We found the wine a bit pricey—$24 for about a glass and a half—but the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the polpetta appetizer, and for our mains we had the penne alla Bolognese and the cavatelli with Italian sausage. The pasta is homemade and truly exceptional—fresh and perfectly cooked. To finish, we shared a cheesecake and had two coffees. Overall, a fantastic culinary stop that we highly recommend.
Claudia B — Google review
Visited on a Saturday in August and enjoyed our lunch on the shaded back courtyard—a setting suited for the day. Our food from the brunch menu was calamari as an app ($22), a Stintino Beach Sandwich ($24) with my partner enjoying a Capriccisoa Pizza ($27). Each delicious. Service was a bit on the slower side, but still reasonably paced and attentive.

Czech restaurant
Maple Leaf Restaurant, located on King Street, offers a cozy dining experience with Czech and Canadian cuisine. The unassuming spot is known for its homey Czech fare, particularly the schnitzel. The owners, two Czech-born Canadians, take pride in blending their cultures into a delightful culinary experience. Diners can savor dishes like Rahm Schnitzel with creamy mushroom sauce or opt for Canadian fare like the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger.
Love this place. There are many different schnitzel options. The schnitzel is the perfect amount of moist and crisp. I had the Prague Pork Schnitzel and with a squirt of lemon it was absolutely perfect. The spaetzel is very good as well. Lightly seasoned and delicious. I also had the Salmon Dill Pate which I loved. The perogies were also delicious - the onions were perfectly cooked! Thanks so much!
Dani — Google review
What an unexpected and pleasant slice of Central Europe in the Thousands Islands! I had a potato soup, the pork schnitzel with spaetzle, a garden salad, and an apple strudel for dessert. The food, the scents and the carved wooden benches reminded me of the restaurants I visited with my parents in Budapest during the 1990s. I hope to be back to try the Sauerbraten.
Christopher ( — Google review
A cozy spot with friendly service and homemade-style food. We tried the Salmon Dill Pâté with Rye for an appetizer, and the Beef Rouladen, Rahm Schnitzel, and Rost Pork for the main courses—all were quite good, though the prices are on the higher side. It’s worth a try for anyone who hasn’t had Czech cuisine before, especially if you’re in the area.
Dongyun H — Google review
We had lunch at Maple Leaf Restaurant in Gananoque and overall it was a good experience. The food was okay and the service was friendly and attentive. The only downside for us was the price — we found it a bit on the expensive side compared to what we expected. Still, it’s a nice option in town if you’re looking for Czech food with good service.
Jaime L — Google review
We had the smoked Polish sausage - apparently good. Polish pierogi are not the best (and I am Polish). The dough is a bit too thick and the stuffing should have more of the Polish cottage cheese (twaróg). Also price of $18 for 4 pierogi is a bit excessive given the quality. Shrimps and rice was good! And we also liked Borscht (barszcz) though we had to add salt and pepper to it. The service depends on the waiter. First we encountered a young lady, who was weird and told us they have no space and thats it (even though no all tables were occupied). Eventually we returned later and our waiter was very nice (a young man). The dessert could probably look a bit better but anyways the taste was good:)

The name is deceiving it is maple leaf, but it has nothing to do with Canadian food. This is actually a Czechoslovakian restaurant. On that note, I don't know how the Czech people make their Borsh soup. But it definitely needed more beads and cream in it. The chicken schnitzel was a little dry and nothing special about it My my daughter was very happy with her pasta. Overall, the meal was good, but it was only a three out of five. I would not go more than that. Having said that, this review is only based on one visit with the limited food that we ordered, and probably their Czech food is much better than what we had. Judging from the neighboring tables. I suggest you give it a try yourself and let me know how it goes

Wanted to try something different. The Chicken Olympia was very good, the fish was good(didn't need tarter) and the Greek salad was awesome.

I had a pork schnitzel and my wife a plater with prosciuto, cheese, pita bread and some salmon cream. Everything was very tasty and plenty. The garden salad was fresh. The schnitzel was very soft, melting in your mouth. Great place and great serving!

Located in Gananoque, the Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands is a popular spot for those looking to try their luck. With over 500 slot machines and various table games like Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, and Texas Holdem Poker, there's something for everyone. The casino also features the Windward Restaurant offering a range of dining options. Visitors can easily obtain a player's card for added perks and excellent customer service is provided.
We went on Friday of the Easter weekend. We ate dinner in the restaurant there. I asked about gluten-free food, and the lovely waitress brought us a piece of notebook paper with handwritten food they serve. Mostly desserts. I ordered plain chicken wings. Very clean. I'd give our waitress a 5 star if I could. She has been working there for a year. Anyways, she was so lovely, personality wise. We headed to the slots, and my guy won some. His winnings totaled $666, good laugh with the super friendly cashier about that total. When I went outside for a cig, the security guards were present and quite courteous. I felt safe going outside by myself. Great place to be if you want to get out.

Today my partner and I went on a double date with our mutual friends to the Windward Restaurant (the restaurant attached to the casino). I’m new to the area, so it’s only my second time dining at the Windward. The prices are super fair for the food quality and portion size. They have a moderate selection of food with lots of comfort food choices. Their selection includes pizza, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, salads, appies, and a few other items. They have a large selection of cocktails as well. Additionally, our server Mark W. was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and had great timing. He would check in with us at all the right moments without feeling overbearing. Overall, I would say this restaurant is a hidden gem and a must try if you’re visiting Gananoque, ON.

To: Management, Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands Subject: Formal Complaint – Unacceptable and Unprofessional Experience on July 20, 2025 Dear Shorelines Casino Management, I’m writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the unacceptable level of service I received during my visit to your Gananoque location on the evening of July 20, 2025. I have been a loyal patron of your casino since the day it opened. Over the years, I’ve witnessed a steady decline in both the professionalism of your staff and the overall customer experience — but what happened during my most recent visit crossed a line I never thought I’d see in an established gaming facility. At around 7:30 p.m., I approached the cashier’s cage to cash out $125 in chips. I waited for over 12 minutes with absolutely no staff in sight. Eventually, I noticed a sign saying someone would return at 7:45 p.m. — meaning a single guest, at the end of their evening, is expected to wait 15 minutes (or longer) just to cash out. This is not a corner store — it’s a casino. And leaving a cashier’s cage unattended during operating hours is not only unprofessional, it’s absurd. When I flagged down a manager — a woman with dark hair and heavily tattooed arms — her response was equally appalling. Rather than apologizing or making any effort to assist, she became defensive and dismissive, telling me the cashier was on her 15-minute break and that they “don’t have the staff.” I told her I had already been waiting nearly 20 minutes, and that this was simply unacceptable — to which she offered no solution, no accountability, and certainly no professionalism. Let me be clear: it is not the customer’s responsibility to adjust to your staffing shortages. And it is not acceptable for a guest to wait half an hour to cash out, only to be met with attitude and excuses from a manager. If this is how your leadership handles a simple service breakdown, it’s no wonder the experience at this casino has deteriorated so badly. The message this sends is loud and clear — your staff’s time matters, but your guests’ time does not. That is a fatal flaw in any service industry, let alone one that relies on customer loyalty. After decades of visiting your casino, I will not be returning. I hope you take this feedback seriously, because what I experienced was not just poor service — it was a complete failure of basic operational and managerial competence. 0/10 D-

Went here with a friend and the vibe isn't what it used to be. They seem to be missing key features to attract people. Before there were buffets available, more tables open and when it has more patrons, the place becomes more upbeat. We went to one in Ottawa and it was night and day in comparison.

a terrific casino and entertainment center. it's always a good time. the staff are super friendly and courteous. the place is always neat and tidy. the security team keeps everything in order. a great vibe here. we had our emotional support dog and she respected the place while being quiet and sitting or laying down

First time at the casino. Just went for dinner. No gambling. Facility was impressive. The food in the restaurant was ok. Service was very good. Probably wont go back for dinner unless it's a specialty day.

A completely controlled casino, with zero chance of winning on slot machines (bonuses don't even pay you half of what you've bet) or on tables (the machine that shuffles and deals the cards), plus very few tables open (only one table for 3 players playing doubles) and stifling heat inside. It's supposed to be on the highway and a pleasant stop, but it’s a complete disaster experience.
Andres M — Google review
Small, but lots of machines for the size. And it was clean However... No craps tables. 5 of us went and played machines, tables, and that electronic junk. Minimal payouts (I swear the electronic blackjack is fixed there, never seen anything as terrible) And was super hot inside, could actually feel the heat inside. In all, dont waste your time, or money there

Panache Bakery & Cafe is a charming, laid-back bakery and cafe that has been serving up delectable pastries, sandwiches, sweets, and coffee drinks for 25 years. Located conveniently along King Street, it's the perfect spot to grab a light lunch or satisfy your caffeine and sugar cravings. The cafe offers a cozy atmosphere with big windows overlooking the bustling street. What sets Panache apart is its commitment to providing real food without any added preservatives or additives—all made on-site.
We ordered Black Forest cake. It was honestly the best I have ever tasted. Light and fresh. Not heavy and sickly sweet like so many other bakeries. We were served personally by the owner, who clearly gave great care to detail. I imagine the same quality would be present in everything else.

Friendly service and tasty looking desserts. I got a sandwich and was hoping for a few more options in that area - I had a ham and Swiss on brown bread and it was okay. Pretty simple for the price but it came with some chips and a pickle at least! The bread was good. I would come back, but maybe for a dessert as opposed to a sandwich. They also don't have seating inside currently as an FYI.

I had ordered a big birthday cake for a 60Th birthday and had asked for a picture of a antique truck on it. They did an amazing job and the cake was the best ever. People had seconds and thirds and we were left with only 5 pieces left. I have never had cake so light and tasty. The antique truck was done in blue icing and was awesome. They did an amazing job. Would recommend Panache Bakery and Cafe 100%.

A total gem. So happy to have stumbled upon this bakery while on vacation. They have some of the best gluten free bread that I’ve ever tried… and I’ve been trying all kinds of GF bread for 7+ years in search for ones palatable enough. Not too fluffy, not too dense, holds its shape, cuts well and tastes as close to regular as it can. I bought a bunch of loaves to bring home and store in my freezer! Hoping one day they’re sold in grocery stores.

I ordered the breakfast sandwich (with no meat and extra egg instead), plus an ice tea. Both were good! The sandwich was meticulously well done.

My family ordered a cake from Panache Bakery for my birthday. Not only was the cake beautiful but also incredibly tasty! You can tell that they use great quality ingredients and use great care and precision when baking and decorating. They also have great almond croissants and date squares. Everything is delicious! What a little gem, right in the middle of Gananooque.

Amazing bakery. Really love going there - everything I have tasted so far was delicious and not overly sweet - Japanese gluten free cheese cake, matcha pastry, almond croissant, tiramisu, eclair with strawberries, etc. The owner is a very friendly lady and it shows that she loves what she does - and she does it well. Thank you!

The vibes, aesthetics of this place is 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Everywhere you look, either it is a well-maintained plant, vintage furniture, beautiful landscape or just a cute little decor piece that will catch your attention. Food is extremely well-made with love yet affordable. Everything has been selected with so much attention to detail, even the desert spoon has beautiful carvings! Our server was Ava, she took good care of us and was lovely. We ate purple house salad, margarita pizza, butter chicken pizza and creme bruelle! One of the most beautiful, cozy yet not over the top restaurant in Canada

Very good experience at this charming family restaurant! 🌟 We dined outdoors and were instantly taken by the cozy, warm atmosphere, it felt like having dinner in a beautiful backyard. The highlight, though, was the pizza! Baked in a traditional charcoal tandoor, it had the most incredible smoky flavor and perfect crust. You could tell the ingredients were super fresh and high-quality — every bite was delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. What really stood out was how kind they were to our dog — they even brought out a little treat and a bowl of water for him without us asking. That level of thoughtfulness means so much. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food, a relaxed vibe, and genuinely kind people. We’ll definitely be coming back! 🍕

The atmosphere is fantastic – it’s a lovely little house with a beautifully decorated outdoor terrace. They use natural ingredients straight from their own garden, which makes the food really fresh. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It’s worth mentioning that the pizza dough is not the traditional style, so there’s some room for improvement, but it’s still absolutely delicious!

We stopped by just after the lunch hour but it was still packed — the pizza was very good. I had the butter chicken one, very flavorful and the dough was very nice! It wasn’t too thin and too thick, simply perfect. My partner had the sunshine bowl and a creamy cheese cake. We do recommend trying their kombucha blueberry!

We always have the best time at Purple House. The menu is small but everything is consistently delicious. The service is always friendly and attentive without being overbearing. And the cherry on top is sitting in the most luscious, beautiful garden that truly feels like being on holiday in your own oasis. It can't be beat.

We had a beautiful Saturday lunch here -- the pizza was phenomenal and so was the service. I enjoyed the Purple House Lemonade with my pulled pork pizza while my husband enjoyed the steak pizza and a crisp local beer. The atmosphere is beautiful as well, I'm really enjoyed the shady garden. Absolutely worth the visit, however they get busy very quickly. Prepare to get there early or wait a bit!

Guests can also enjoy the outdoor garden patio for an al fresco dining experience.

The food here is really well-made, everything was so good. You can tell they really put in the care. Sad that they ran out of the smoked brisket and Charleston waffles. But the stuffed croissant as the replacement was delicious — I really liked the garlicky pesto inside with the bacon and egg.

Had Sunday lunch there. Restaurant was very quiet and indeed had this family business vibe. Food was good/OK. Smoked salmon bagel & "The pan" were good. Found omlett to be a bit dry. Staff is indeed not super cheerful and service was a bit slow.

With a brand new sidewalk patio, it's the perfect spot to enjoy classic pub fare such as fish and chips, pies, curries, burgers, salads, and mussels. This cozy watering hole also boasts an extensive selection of Ontario craft beers on tap and a variety of refreshing wines and cocktails.
We were camping at a nearby KOA and ventured into Gan for some lunch. We walked the main strip and chose to eat at the Old English Pub. Best decision ever. My son and I had the fish and chips. It was very full of flavour, cooked perfectly and the fries are handcut and cooked to perfection. I added the coleslaw to my fish meal for an extra $3 as its not included. It was good also but a bit to much mayonnaise for my liking. My husband had the beef dip and he was a very big fan Our toddler wanted poutine, it wasnt on the menu but Julia our wonderful server had the kitchen make one for him. The bill with tip was $107 we each had a craft beer and the 4 meals. We will definitely be returning

Spy camera is unsettling. Yes, that’s right. There is no notification that you’re on camera. And yet, sitting there I see a camera pointed right at me. It’s odd. And as I said, unsettling. Food is ok, but fairly bland. You don’t get a glass of water when you sit down which is pretty much the way it is at literally almost every other restaurant in North America. So that’s also weird. For the food itself? Salad was fair to good. Indian food was not spicy which was a shame, and it came with poppadoms which are crisp flatbread made of chickpea or lentil flour. And they were partially put under the food with sauce. Which turned them into mush. Which defeats the purpose entirely. So that was also a weird choice. Anyway, I won’t eat here again because the feeling that someone is covertly spying on you and potentially watching you on camera, without notice, just seems wrong. (Yes, I understand why a bar/restaurant does it, and I’m sure many do, but provide notice - that’s the point).
**** — Google review
Another fish n chips for the books, this time a single piece with a $3 add on of coleslaw. The tartar sauce was really rich heavy on the mayo, made for solid dip for the fries. I was a bit surprised to see the coleslaw upcharge but it was dressed well and a sizable portion. Huge thanks to our servers for handling the issues with payment processing, which had us paying cash. I also have to recommend the cocktail of the day, absolutely lethal!!

Wish it were possible to give 100 stars to Churchill's Old English Pub! From the moment we walked into the authentically-decorated restaurant from the cute outside patio, we felt like we were actually in olde England. And the food! We had the most delicious streamed mussels appetizer followed by a steak and ale entree for my husband and a lovely pineapple stir-fry curry for me. No TVs, no muzak soundtracks, low lighting, booths and the true feeling of an authentic Brtish pub ... just the best!

We didn't know anything about this place, and picked it strictly for location. Wow, what luck. Our waitress was delightful and really good. The food was tasty and fresh, really good portions. The best part was when the fresh Yorkshire pudding was being brought still warm past us, the fella offered us one. So good, warm, and full of childhood Sunday diner memories. I really wanted more, but was too full. We really enjoyed it here. For the owners...your staff should be treasured, they were great!!

A must stop in Gan! This place is just wow! We loved the decor, the food, everything! Only negative personal point is the band. I would prefer to eat my meal in peace and enjoy my friend/group instead of earing a band at 7:00pm but if you are sitting in their new section, you are fine! They are also pet friendly on their patio 💜🐕

Had sign outside to wait to be seated. We waited for awhile then went inside. The hostess who was standing by the bar if we saw the sign outside . I told her we were there for awhile and she was not happy that we came inside. The bar was out of every IPA on their menu. My wife’s burger was well done which she understood they could not cook it the way she wanted but she didn’t expect more than well done. I orders fish and chips. The fish was good but I expected better than bagged French fries. I will admit the beer I did order which was a local beer was very good. Service was good for lack of staff but that is getting to be the norm

This place was not that bad. There is a nice view from the balcony. A waiter seemed clumsy as they dropped off some drinks on a customer. After seeing that we all felt bad atmosphere and were afraid of the coming service. However, at our table everything was great. I was also skeptical because of the reviews and didn’t check them before entering the restaurant. In reality it was not that bad. Our food for 6 people was ready in 15-17 min! Their fish and chips were delicious. The hamburger maybe could be tastier. The price seems similar compared to other restaurants around. No cheap or expensive. Small details, they charged you for some side mayonnaise but luckily they offered it to us. Be cautious with the washrooms. It was terribly slippery!!

Stopped here after a nice tour of the Thousand Islands. The food was decent with a reasonable quantity. At our table, we had a burger, pasta dish and Ceasar salad. Each dish was tasty and seemed fresh. The staff were friendly and attentive. The facilities need more attention. The washrooms are not clean, despite the sign that says they are cleaned regularly. The hand dryer was grungy, sinks dirty as well as the floors. Windows of the patio were covered with fingerprints, not just a few but a lot.

Absolutely loved this place! Easy stop on the boat. The place was beautiful, servers were so nice, and the food was delicious. Have the option of sitting inside, or out on the deck with the view of the River.

My friends and I were looking for a place to eat in the area. Every other restaurant had at least a 30-minute wait list, so we came to Muskie Jake's Tap & Grill since there was no wait. The patio was full, which was a letdown, but it was a pretty nice view. We placed our orders and waited for around 20 minutes just for the waiter to come and say that there was an issue in the system, and we had to wait another 15-20 minutes for our food. When the food finally came out, it looked pretty good, but it didn't taste as good as it looked. I ordered the River Beast Burger. The first bite was good but as I continued eating it, I realized there wasn't much flavor. The fries were average too. One of my friends ordered the Ribeye Rodeo Wrap which came out cold and was 80% lettuce. The ribeye had no flavor at all. It was basically just a lettuce wrap. One of my other friends ordered the Crunchy Chicken. The sandwich was basic and lacked much flavour. My last friend ordered the Cajun Chicken Wings. It did not taste like Cajun at all and the chicken was bland. The workers were also mad near our table which ruined the atmosphere. If your in the area, I say you should wait for another restaurant instead of coming here.

We stopped by on a whim on Saturday, August 2 and although it was busy, we were greeted within a reasonable time. The server tended to us promptly taking our drink orders. He quickly became the best part of our experience by chatting with us about our golf games. Ryder was friendly, witty, and informative. He took the time to explain the menu all the while keeping us entertained with his quiet yet quick wit! Ryder was the perfect server balancing his work tasks with just the right amount of personal conversation and light jokes. Great job all around Ryder! Thank you for making our evening even more fun! The meals were good as well!

Stopped by because all the other restaurants were full, we had to wait 20 minutes to get water. I ordered a salad and had to wait another 15 minutes because the dressing was missing. Food was okay but their mash potatoes had skin into them🤮 we probably won't go back again, our waitress was doing her best, they were probably under staff but still. Expect very long delays for everything. The location and the view are nice though

We were driving from Montreal to Toronto back in June and stopped here for dinner. The burger was really nice and the steak was nice esp for the price. View was really nice would definitely come back here again one day.

Service was ok and atmosphere was good but the food was mediocre. It also took a very long time to get our food. I got the bombay sandwich and it was somehow bland. The curry was very good. the salmon was bland. The salad was just a plain salad. Everything except the curry lacked any real flavor, Even the sides.

Nestled within the charming Gananoque Inn & Spa, Watermark Restaurant is a culinary gem that offers an exquisite fine dining experience against the stunning backdrop of the Thousand Islands. This elegant eatery boasts large windows that frame breathtaking waterfront views, creating a serene atmosphere for diners. The seasonal menu showcases fresh, locally sourced ingredients and elevates regional cuisine with gourmet flair.
This restaurant is located at the Gananoque Inn and Spa. The patio has a good view of the waterfront. The food is good and overall a pleasant place to have lunch or supper. It was very busy (poker run weekend) so it took a while for service. We weren’t in a hurry and we appreciated how hard the server staff were working to ensure everyone had a great experience. I’d recommend eating here.

The location was great, right on the water. The inside is fancier while the patio quite casual. The dinner was quite good (chicken supreme and curry). The breakfast was decent but not for the cost. The service is a bit awkward and generally doesn’t seem to have enough staff. If you want ketchup, salt and pepper, etc etc you have to ask. You could detect an air of frustration among the customers. We were never in a hurry so it didn’t bother us as much. Might just be new management that will improve with experience?? Overall the cost was a bit high for the overall experience (Ratings for dinner but comments for dinner and breakfast)

July 2022: My experience was much better the second time around as we went to dinner earlier, seems the best time is around 6pm. The sun was still shining gloriously in the backdrop but we had a great table and got to admire the waterfront. I ordered the Grilled Salmon; it was near perfect. The only thing it lacked was a sauce (like a buttery sauce) to compliment it but that’s the only suggestion I have this time. Our server was Ashley and she did a stupendous job at making sure we had everything and balancing all the guests that arrived after us. Thank you!! N.B. This section of the restaurant is closed on Mondays (the mostly patio part). They do have another half with a patio, but a larger inside. Sept 2021: Certainly a lovely view but if you plan on dining a little later in the evening, bring a flashlight. Headed out about 8:15 on a Sunday, the sunset was slowly fading but you could still see the other diners out on the patio. By the time the meal came, we were eating in the dark! The restaurant only invested in a few white lights on the corner posts of the patio; if you weren’t sitting under one, you could not see your food! I literally had to take out my iPhone flashlight to see what I was eating! iPhone has been very generous with the amount of light in that last picture. There were no overhead lights or lights near the door to walk back in (safety hazard there), candles or even those battery operated ones from Dollarama! Unbelievable, eating in the dark and then paying that much for dinner! Secondly, the menu says you can switch out a side of fries for a salad for an extra cost. Fries were served with almost everything there [in general]. Upon ordering, the waitress never asked if I’d like a different side, as they normally do. If you say you don’t want a side of fries, offer another choice! Received: fries. Lovely. The service was not that great. We were asked how dinner was going when we couldn’t see our food, could barely see each other. Perhaps I’ll be back during lunchtime but a later dinner, no thank you.

When you arrive there is no one to greet you. It feels like the place is meant only for hotel guests. I had to ask a waiter who with an annoyed expression told me to just sit down and that someone would bring me a menu. All the patio tables were already occupied and none had been cleared. We had to clear one ourselves. When the waiter eventually came to wipe it he just ran a dirty rag over it without using any sanitizer. When it was time to order the waiter with a smug attitude did not bother writing anything down. He repeated our order and got it completely wrong. Drinks are self service but calling them drinks is a stretch. Only tea or coffee. No juice. No milk. Nothing else. The menu offers the usual egg breakfast with no option for fruit or yogurt. Overall poor service, unwelcoming atmosphere and a very limited offering. Definitely not worth your time.

The Sea Food Platter was described as an "Entree: breaded calamari shrimp and scallops deep fried and served with dipping sauce and a side of coleslaw and macaroni salad" I took a photo... smaller than anticipated and it tasted like it was from box frozen. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the service was good, the patio view was good, and I enjoyed the wine. The food not so much.
Sam K — Google review
The food was good and we really enjoyed our view. They really have the best views. There was also live music which made our experience significantly better. Will definitely go back if we were in town!
Kimia M — Google review
The views and the staff are great, but the food is disappointing. The surf and turf steak was fine I guess... Thin little piece of "steak" you'd expect to get on a steak sandwich. The club sandwich is fine too - made with three slices of plain old thick cut wonderbread or Texas toast with a bit of turkey and a ton of mayo. There was a bit of pasta in someone's salad (that doesn't have pasta in it...) so not sure how the food handling is in the kitchen. Food is really just kind of dated and not satisfying. They were out of one the desserts they told us about but didn't realize it, so they brought one of us dessert but nothing for the other person, and told the other person they could order something else while the other person already had theirs. After seeing the cheesecake we passed. The cheesecake is just a slice of plain cheesecake... No toppings offered apparently. Just a small slice of plain cake. So overall you get great service, and the food is ok, but it's really not anything to specifically plan your visit around. Prices were cheap at least, so we didn't feel like we were overcharged. Would rather see them add a few dollars to the price of each item and update their menu a bit though. Oh, and the lady at the hotel's front desk as you walk by was really unfriendly. Just ignore her, and head straight in for the restaurant.

The location and view of this restaurant deserves a 5 star. We sat on the patio and had a gorgeous view of St Lawrence river. Food and service were mediocre. I think they really need to work on the quality of their foods. This place has so much potential but the food needs improvement. Come here for the view and not the food otherwise you will be disappointed.

Nestled in the heart of Gananoque, Pistachio Cafe is a charming family-run restaurant that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or want to savor your meal, this cafe has something for everyone. Known as the best spot for coffee in downtown Gananoque, it serves up an array of delicious drinks and delectable treats.
This restaurant doesn’t just serve food—it delivers an experience. From the moment you walk in, you feel warm greeting and feel like you want to sit and spend more time. The food was absolutely phenomenal. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and thoughtfully paired. The menu offers all vegetarian dishes which are hard to find. Hawaiian grilled cheese is one of the best I have had. The customer service was top-tier. Staff were attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly. They made us feel welcome and valued throughout the entire meal. It’s rare to find a team so committed to making your experience memorable. The ambiance was just right to sit in and have a great meal. Soft lighting, tasteful decor, and a layout that allows for both intimate lunch and dinner.

We stopped by Pistachio Café in Gananoque after lunch for coffee and dessert, and it was a very satisfying experience. Some of us had double espressos, while others tried the chocolate and pistachio ice cream — everything was good, but the ice cream was definitely the highlight. The café has a spacious outdoor area that’s perfect for relaxing, and the interior is stylish and inviting. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a quality coffee or a sweet treat while in town. Definitely recommended!

Stopped in at Pistachio Cafe while exploring Gananoque and it was easily one of the highlights of our visit. We ordered espressos, lattes, and a selection of their baked goods, and everything was excellent. The espresso was smooth, well-balanced, and perfectly pulled, and the lattes had beautiful microfoam and rich espresso flavour, not bitter or burnt like many places. The baked goods were fresh and delicious—we tried a pistachio muffin and a pastry, both of which were light, flavourful, and clearly made in-house with quality ingredients. It’s the kind of place where the coffee and food match the vibe: warm, welcoming, and genuine. The staff were friendly and engaging, taking time to chat about the area while keeping service quick and efficient. You can tell they care about what they’re serving and about their customers. The atmosphere is cozy yet bright, with comfortable seating and a clean, modern decor that makes it perfect for enjoying your coffee slowly or grabbing something on the go before exploring town. There’s also a lovely local feel to the cafe, with a mix of locals and visitors creating a warm buzz inside. If you’re in Gananoque, skip the chains and make Pistachio Cafe your coffee stop. It’s the perfect spot for a quality coffee, a delicious snack, and a moment to slow down in your day. We’ll definitely return the next time we’re in the area.

Located at 490 Stone Street South in Gananoque, the Stonewater Pub offers a cozy atmosphere with antique-filled rooms and a cooked breakfast. The pub features live music and serves micro-brewed beers. Situated near the water, it boasts a fabulous wraparound porch and street-level seating options for guests to relax and enjoy their meals. The menu includes fusion pub eats such as Irish Nachos, Butter Chicken Tacos, Shrimp Po Boy, Whisky Burger, and more.
Genuinely wanted to eat everything on the menu. The chicken and waffles were sweet and crunchy, wontons crisp and satiating, and the fish and chips was the star. Crispy, crunchy battered fish with sweet potato fries and a smoky, chipotle dip. The menu felt new and exciting (give me gochuchang cauliflower over a BLT, any day) and the upstairs room was cozy like a cottage, without being over the top.

Walked in, no issues, seated straight away. Staff? Friendly, switched on, and actually know how to run a floor without chaos. The food? Bloody fantastic. Those dumplings? Crisp, golden, not greasy, packed with flavour, and served with a dip that actually tastes like something – not your standard bland soy puddle. Garnished with a fresh edible flower, it’s the kind of detail that tells you the kitchen gives a toss. The pulled pork poutine? Mate, it’s a proper meal, not a sloppy mess. Chips crisp, cheese curds squeaky, pork tender, smoky, dripping with sauce but not drowning it – that’s how you layer a poutine. Salad? Fresh, vibrant, crunchy, and with pickled onion and crispy strips that actually add texture – not just sad lettuce thrown on a plate. The fish and chips? Battered beautifully, fish flaky, moist, seasoned perfectly, and chips hot and crisp. You’d think you’re on the coast with fish that fresh. The whiskey sour? Not the best I’ve ever had, but it was decent and did the job on a warm patio afternoon. No drama. No disappointment. Just good, honest, well-executed pub food in a warm, welcoming spot that gets it right. Stonewater Pub, you’ve nailed it. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

Sure! Here's a positive review you can use for the Stonewater Pub in Gananoque: --- Had a great late lunch at Stonewater Pub in Gananoque with a colleague. The Smash Burger was perfectly cooked and packed with flavour, and the Chicken and Waffles hit the spot – crispy, juicy, and delicious with just the right balance of sweet and savoury. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the relaxed riverside atmosphere made it even better. Highly recommended if you're in Gananque.

The atmosphere is so cozy and warm, and the staff and owners are lovely. We check the online menu every day to see if Matt and Chelsea have a new item they’re trying out, and they always knock it out of the park when they do. They had a seafood pasta on their menu for New Year’s Eve in 2024, and it was genuinely the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. I do not shut up about it.

Great restaurant during a one night visit to Gananoque. My friend and I received a warm and inviting welcome from the waitress. My friend and I were the only Black people in the restaurant, but we felt quite comfortable and relaxed. Service was very quick! The food was so tasty! We went on a Thursday night after 9pm and it was open mic, so there were a variety of folks playing a guitar and singing. It was lovely. I highly recommend the BBQ chicken wings; they were perfectly cooked and delicious.

Recently passed through this airport on a direct flight from Dulles to Oldenburg on Breeze (highly recommend). Cute little airport with the most helpful people. On the inbound the staff offered to help me with my bags to the rental car, because there were 8 people on my flight and my family represented 4 of them. On the outbound they accommodated our family swiftly and got the whole flight through security quickly. Parking outside is easy and fees are cheap. Great airport experience. Thanks all!

I'm so glad we chose Ogdensburg Airport! My elderly relative, who speaks very little English and carries a Pakistani passport, was visiting the US and was now going to visit Canada for the very first time. I suggested she fly to Ogdensburg Airport for two main reasons: 1) I could accompany her at the border and help answer any questions, and 2) A smaller airport could make the journey easier for her instead of the hustle and bustle of a larger airport such as Ottawa. On the way to pick her up, I was traveling alone and entry into the US was a breeze. There was no lineup, the CBP agent was very polite and I didn't have any issues getting through. The airport is so small and convenient, and offers free parking for the first 30 minutes, so that worked out nicely. I went in and was able to watch the plane land from the large windows beside the baggage claim carousel and the entrance for arriving passengers. The airport/SkyWest/United staff were so caring. She had requested wheelchair assistance and I wasn't sure if one would be available. They pulled up the ramp to the plane so she and the other passengers could disembark easily instead of using the stairs. Two staff members stood by waiting for her, one with a wheelchair and the other with her bag. They carefully seated her and brought her in. To her pleasant surprise, I was waiting for her right at the door to the airport. She had been worried about how she would be able to locate me. Crossing the Canadian border was also a breeze and she faced no issue in coming in with her newly issues Canadian visit visa. For her return trip, the US border was a pleasant experience. She had to go in to have her passport stamped, and the border agents were very polite and helpful, holding the door open for us as we went in. The agent checked the time on her boarding pass to make sure she wouldn't be delayed for her flight. We were done in a few minutes and he wished us a pleasant trip. We arrived at the airport about 25 minutes before boarding and went to one of the two check-in counters. The young man (Nabeel) was very helpful. A wheelchair was available right there and he gave me a pass so I could help her through security. The TSA agents were also very kind and professional, even while giving me a full pat-down. She had a can of maple syrup in her carry-on that wasn't permitted through, but the agent kept it aside at the check-in counter so that I could pick it up on my way out, instead of throwing it away. I was able to take her to the boarding lounge and gate. The staff carefully took her and her luggage to the plane, and I was able to watch everything from the large windows. She gave me a long parting wave from outside the airplane door and I waved back, and she went in as he handed one of her bags to the airline crew. Our family was very happy to be able to see her board the aircraft and know that she had been well taken care of. For us, the small size of the airport (and of course the caring staff) was key in making the trip easy and comfortable. Thank you to everyone at Ogdensburg Airport for being so welcoming and caring!

This is a very low traffic airport with essentially zero amenities. Imagine traveling through a minor Soviet airport around 1963- that is ogdensburg airport. It was clean, but the staff outnumbered passengers maybe 3 to 1 and forget about holding the notion of an idea of getting a drink while you wait for your flight

What. An. Airport. This marvelous building, sized at slightly larger than a Dunkin' drive-thru, is a testament to the highest reaches of human progress. Not only is the customer service top notch (with more than enough of the infamous northern NY twang to go around), but the hotel sized room was able to fit both family members who came to pick us up. Cannot recommend enough travelling through Ogdensburg INTERNATIONAL airport!

Kingston Airport

Airport
Kingston Airport is conveniently located near the beautiful waterways of Lake Ontario, the Saint Lawrence River, and the Rideau Canal. It's a great place to start your exploration of these natural wonders by canoe or kayak. Additionally, the nearby 1000 Islands offer a rich historical experience surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The airport staff are known for their friendliness and efficiency, making it easy to check in before your flight.
Looking forward to resumption of Kingston to Toronto air service some day. It's only a 10 minute car or cab ride to YGK and so easy to check in before flight time.

Regional airport with the only real schedule from Air Canada to Toronto. Not really built for larger flights. Concessions are extremely limited as would be expected by an airport of this size. Wouldn't be surprised if people travel by other means to YYZ or YOW to catch flights.

I exclusively flew to this Airport to attend Queen's University. Kingston was the original capital of Canada, has an expansive military base, several universities and is the home of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, you can only fly here on a tiny regional airplane from Montreal or Toronto. If YOU'RE prone to Claustrophobia, I wouldn't reccommend it. The turbulence of these planes is unbelievable. There are no food or beverage options on this plane because there is NO room in the cabin for it. Moreover, 1-2 hour flights aren't financed for that. However, I wouldn't recommend consuming food or beverages while the flight is tumultuously cruising (that's an oxymoron). Once the plane has landed, the disembarkment process is very straight forward, because the airport is so compact. I never had PROBLEMS sourcing a taxi driver to drive me to my home (where I resided my entire duration of university). Ride shares never existed when I attended university, but I also never had a Smartphone. Technology does convolute and complicate matters. I don't regret being DISCONNECTED from it during my trips and stay here.

Airport with no flights! I have lived 2 years in Kingston and there are no regular flights from this airport. Everyone has to go to either Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa. With a population of 140,000 people, a large University and 2 hospitals you would think that we could support regular flights. I'm from North Bay, population 50,000 and they have lots of flight options. When is this going to change?

I understand that the airport manager has made the decision to remove the slanted conveyor belt that allows passengers to get their luggage up to security, thus making passengers lift their luggage 4ft to put on the conveyor rollers and the attendants at security are not to help(glad they ignore this rule). You must realize that you do have people coming through who are seniors or others who just cannot do this I fly across this great country of ours and this is the only airport that makes you do this. You just spent money on the renovation to update the building and in my mind went backwards on how checked luggage is passed through the system Both Air Canada and the security personnel have said they have brought it to the managers attention and to him it is not a necessary Great customer support from the city.....

Only one flight to only one place, Toronto. The facility is very very old. The airplane is also very old. Need a brave heart to take a flight. The pilot and the airtress are couple , and seriously you should have confidence on them. It might be interesting to know where and how the old airplane does the maintenance. Better to update such old airport.

Need way more handicapped parking! Parking lot is a lawsuit waiting to happen, especially in winter. Staff is courteous and helpful, but don’t be surprised if your flight is canceled at the last minute. Other than the above issues, it is a nice alternative to driving to Syracuse.

In the 20 years I served in the Air Force, I have NEVER seen an airport refusing to serve paying passengers and you can imagine, I have seen A LOT of airports. They are usually very helpful trying to get you on the plane. This airport is the smaller than a garage and you need to be there an hour before your flight because they WILL NOT check you in if your within 45 minutes of departure. Im looking at the plane, no one has boarded yet, and we are 40 minutes early and refuse to check my son in for his flight. They turned away 5 passengers that day, including my son who is also serving this country in the Marines. There is NOTHING on the website stating this rule, not that it would have helped because who looks at the airport website. There was no email sent when the ticket was purchased stating you will be refused checkin at this phone booth sized airport within 45 minutes of flight. We are now 2 hours from home and need to wait 6 hours before the next flight. If you think American Airlines was helpful to move our flight to Syracuse, wrong, they wanted to charge us FULL TICKET PRICE as a fee to switch airports. DO NOT USE THIS AIRPORT. The Airport Manager has no idea what he is doing and should resign.

This place is awful. Departed from there and though I arrived with more than enough time to get through their "security", they acted as if I was at some major international airport. The workers had bad attitudes and were just plain awful to interact with. I'd rather make the trip to Syracuse than to go through this place again.

The Watertown Airport parking lot may be free but it is unlit and not safe to walk in. It is a lawsuit waiting to happen or maybe worse as someone could be injured. On a positive note, my bag was lost, left at a previous airport by American and a staff member named Riley was very professional and helpful. I am waiting for my bag to arrive and he called and let me know it was on the way. He is an excellent employee.

GO TO SYRACUSE!!!! Unless you want to pay $800 for the pleasure of showing up an hour for your flight, waiting over 2 hours to take off, rebooking your connecting flight, and a complimentary beverage. Security and staff at the airport were great. Flight has been delayed due to a “software reboot” from control so still stuck on the ground. Flight was supposed to leave at 0600, it’s now 0700. So at 0730, we were forced to deplane and go back into the terminal. No update on the “reboot”. Tough to imagine how a control system that handles two flights a day could mess this up so bad. Finally, at 0835, AA Flight took off for Philadelphia.

Flight was delayed (no big deal it happens) showed up to the airport terminal 1hr before my flight and the desk was closed and I couldn’t check into my flight. Got told by the security guard and the police officer there that I had to try and call the 1-800 number. The sign on the desk said “you must be there 45 minutes prior to check into your flight otherwise no one will be there.” I was there 60 minutes prior… 15 minutes prior to there cutoff. When I brought it up and the other family there did as well the security guard said “yeah, that’s what they told me that they closed the desk down and won’t be back until after the flight.” So I’m there in accordance with your timelines and I’m just out of luck? Didn’t make my flight. I will NEVER use this airport again.
