History Museums
Macaulay Heritage Park, located just outside Picton, is a top tourist attraction featuring a variety of notable buildings such as the Macaulay House, Church of St. Mary Magdalene and Parish Cemetery, and Carriage House. The museum offers informative exhibits on the county's history and indigenous activity. Visitors can enjoy the pleasant grounds for picnics and explore the historical home and church while learning about Rev Macaulay and Picton's history from knowledgeable guides.
5 stars for the Mcauley home, the volunteer inside was so knowledgeable and had great insight into the former occupants as well as how/where items in the home were sourced. I really enjoyed the home, gardens, and the heritage cemetery was also very interesting. We went into the church, I liked the path forward overall, but the spray painting of the walls in this historic church looks awful. The stained glass and church exterior is very nice though.

What a wonderful tour! Jessica has a real talent for storytelling! Highly recommend!!!

A land mark that needs some more development. Not a bad place to go if you are in the town and nothing else good to do
Matthew Z — Google review
Beautiful historical home and church.
Alicia B — Google review
Very pretty grounds. Unfortunately, church was closed.
Timothy B — Google review
Great exhibit beautiful buildings, friendly staff and lots of green space!
Kendra F — Google review
The museum guide was informative and funny. I learned a lot about the county when visiting and I’m someone who’s lived in the county for 24 years. The section of the museum that I enjoyed the most was based on the indigenous activity that’s happened over years and years in the county. I def enjoyed the visit.

The whole family had a great time. Santa was there handing out presents. There was hot beverages, and treats. My 4 year old grandson was amazed by the old world ways that are on display. No fee just donation.

Birdhouse City is a popular natural reserve located in Prince Edward County, offering a relaxing and enjoyable day out for visitors. Established in 1980, it provides various outdoor recreational activities within the Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area just outside of Picton. The main attraction is the trail featuring over 100 unique miniature birdhouses, each with its own design and theme.
Amazing place, far exceeded our expectations. There's about 50 creative birdhouse to explore, along a well maintained path. Definitely recommend this as a stop - its short and unique, fantastic work by folks who maintain this.
Artem S — Google review
When I planned to visit birdhouse city I did not expect it be so badly maintained . The bird houses are very cute and I would have enjoyed the place a bit more if some effort had been put to cut the grass and remove the weeds at least. It looks a bit eerie and unkept. If that was the vibe they were going for then good job. I saw small snake as well on the way up. So please be careful.
Smi M — Google review
This place is way beyond my expectations. It is super cute, and i feel like recommending this place to Amazong Race Canada, as hunting for Massassauga Park Hotel was a fun task!🤭
A W — Google review
The amazing Birdhouse City is a miniature community of whimsical hand-crafted birdhouses depicting the unique character, culture, and history of Prince Edward County. Each birdhouse rests high on its own platform and pole and provides a safe place for birds to nest in. Located at the Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area just outside of Picton, the City offers a one-of-a-kind, outdoor experience for people of all ages. I especially loved the Mustang Drive-In which is playing “The Birds” by Alfred Hitchcock! Paths are cut into the grass and the houses are about 12’ high. A tiny bit buggy. It is managed by volunteers in partnership with Quinte Conservation. Allow a minimum of 20 minutes for your visit. The site is a couple acres. It is said there are over 100 charming birdhouses! Parking (paid) is available on site, but I recommend a visit to the Macaulay Heritage park first. You can find the tombstone of William Pierce - Died Feb 31st !? And see the magnificent Georgian house. There is a FREE parking lot on the right of the house. Behind the small barn is a path through the forest which will lead you to Birdhouse City in under 15. It is extremely well-maintained and has benches. You can extend your visit to include a hike. Make sure you include this stop on your visit to PEC!
Jen H — Google review
Fun little diversion. The path isn’t clearly marked so we walk the same areas a couple times. Very interesting place.
Bill B — Google review
Super cute place to walk around. The tick notice scares people but the area is mowed so it's not too dangerous if you stay out of the tall grass. I hope the parking fees go to the upkeep of the birdhouses as they are very pricey for the area. Nice area to walk around.
Jessica D — Google review
Hands down one of my favourite parts of my trip to Prince Edward County. It is an approximate 5 minute drive from Downtown Picton. The hand-crafted birdhouses are all adorable and I appreciated how they paid homage to Prince Edward County. The birdhouses are situated on a well maintained grassy hill. While there were other people walking through, it is a large enough walking path that you can pass people easily. It's fun walking through and hearing all of the birds communicating with each other. It's evident how much passion the volunteers have for maintaining the area. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!

Sandbanks Provincial Park

Mentioned on

Park
Nature & Parks
Public beach
Nestled in the heart of Prince Edward County, Sandbanks Provincial Park is a stunning recreational oceanfront destination renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. Home to the largest sand dune system in the world and a picturesque freshwater sandbar, this park offers an array of outdoor activities from April to October. With over 600 campsites available—ranging from fully equipped sites with electricity to more secluded walk-in options—there's something for everyone looking to immerse themselves in nature.
Sandbanks is an absolute gem and easily one of the most stunning beaches in Ontario. The sand is soft and clean, the water is clear and refreshing, and the shoreline seems to stretch forever. It’s the perfect spot whether you want to swim, sunbathe, or just take a relaxing walk along the beach. The dunes are gorgeous and make for great photo opportunities, and there’s plenty of space so it never feels overly cramped, even on busier days. The shallow, gentle waters make it ideal for families, while the wide open views are pure bliss for anyone looking to unwind.
Lucas C — Google review
The outlets beach is the most popular, with it's expansive, two-kilometre-long shoreline, soft, white sand and rolling waves, thousands flock here each summer. 750,000 of them, in fact. A day-use-only beach, you're required to book your visit in advance to guarantee entry, but it's worth it. There's a restaurant on site and many washrooms and changing rooms nearby. Plenty of parking but get there early for a good spot.
Terrence S — Google review
Sandbanks Provincial Park is an amazing spot for a picnic, a relaxing day at the beach, and swimming. The beach is entirely sandy with no rocks, making it ideal and comfortable for swimming. To enter the park, you’ll need to reserve or register in advance. The park is well-equipped with change rooms, bathrooms, and plenty of parking. There’s also lots of space to sit and relax near the water, whether you’re sunbathing, snacking, or just taking in the view. A perfect getaway for a summer day!
Shiva S — Google review
So beautiful. The camp sites are nice. Happy to hear the comfort station is getting an upgrade. Though I’ll doubt they will change the footprint, more stalls are needed. The bathroom is always busy with its proximity to the beach and all the camp sites. The sunsets are gorgeous. We always have a wonderful time here. Highly recommend!
Amy M — Google review
A stunning provincial park. The park itself is quite big. They have two park stores, a few trails and lots of beach space. We only stayed for a day but the campsites looked nice as well. Lots of friendly staff and endless beaches to explore.
Brent — Google review
Had a beautiful day at Sandbanks today. Made some great memories with family. Playing in the sand and in the water. The water was fantastic! Loads of parking and space on the beach. Highly recommend it if you haven't been.
Jason R — Google review
This was a wow experience, Desert in Ontario and I really mean it, miles of desert around, I went early morning like 9.30 AM, ensure to reserve a day pass from Canada Parks website, the beaches have basic facilities- clean washroom and changing rooms, lot of benches etc, and parking is near to the beaches.
Prasun G — Google review
Today was a wonderful day at the Dunes Beach!! Blue sky, clear water, not too busy for a summer Friday, and a positively awesome experience. We have been to Outleat and Lakeshore Beaches in previous years, and even then, this park does not disappoint! Waves can be fun, but wind gusts were only up to 15km/h instead of 40km/h, which made it suitable for paddleboarding on the water. It's about 500 meters from Dunes Trail parking to the shore. However, paddling on the shore is much easier for finding beach space than treading on the deep, hot sand anyway! The beach is so nice and clean despite all the negative fishy news circulating on social media. Be ready for sand, lots of it! We are planning for more trips this summer!

Parsons Brewing Company

Mentioned on
2 lists
Brewery
Food & Drink
Parsons Brewing Company, founded by Chris and Samantha Parsons, is a family-run brewery, bottle shop, restaurant, and taproom located just a short drive from The Royal. The brewery offers a diverse selection of beers ranging from refreshing summer suds to more wintery options. Their Latin American-influenced food menu features local ingredients and is designed to complement their naturally unfiltered brews.
Parsons Brewing Company is always our first stop when we arrive in Prince Edward County, and for good reason — it’s everything you want in a PEC experience. The setting is charming, welcoming, and quintessentially County, with rustic buildings, wide-open space, and thoughtful touches throughout. The beer is consistently excellent, with a great variety on tap to suit any taste. Whether you're into hop-forward IPAs, crisp lagers, or something more seasonal and creative, they always have something fresh and exciting — which makes it a great place to bring friends with different preferences. The food is delicious. Yes, prices can be on the higher side, but the portion sizes and quality completely justify it. Everything we’ve tried has been well-executed, fresh, and full of flavour — a proper meal, not just an afterthought to the beer. What really sets Parsons apart is how much there is to do year-round. In the winter, the outdoor hockey rink and cozy campfires make it such a fun and unique spot. In the summer, the games and expansive outdoor area create the perfect laid-back vibe. Parsons is more than a brewery — it’s an experience. A must-visit every time!
Sabrina V — Google review
The place is very beautiful to look and completely instagramable. Good place with cozy vibes but food and drink wise I think it is expensive and quantity of food is quiet less. I see the attraction it has. We had passed it on the way and it was so attractive that we changed out route while driving back so that we could stop here. So maybe a one time experience for sure.
Nameeta K — Google review
Great wait staff and ambiance. This was our second visit in the evening and it feels magical with the soft patio lights. Definitely a family and dog friendly spot. The brew we chose was pricier than most we had in the County
CJ P — Google review
I would have visited here every weekend if it were close to Toronto. The food was perfect - I literally smiled at my first bite of the burger, and the beers were so good that we ended up buying a few bottles at the shop. Very friendly staff and a nice ambiance, with the firepit to keep you warm. We ended up going here because the other restaurant we originally planned to try was full, but this turned out to be the luckiest thing that happened to us during our trip to Prince Edward County.
Andrew K — Google review
Bring your kids and enjoy a bear or two Large selection of bears, a lots of seating areas. Cool play structure for kids with balls and other outdoor game. Perfect for families
Isabel S — Google review
Food was amazing. Must try their flights! There are so many fun stuffs outside as well so nice to hang out with family and friends!!

Great beers specially the Mango Lassi beer which was very unique and fruity. The atmosphere is amazing and there is lots of games to play for the kids as well. highly recommended
Chirag B — Google review
We had such a great time at Parsons Brewery! 🍻 The beer selection was fantastic — we tried the Mango Lassi beer (yes, you read that right!) and it was surprisingly delicious. We also ordered tacos and empanadas, both super tasty, and the smash burger was absolutely amazing. The place has a great ambience, perfect for hanging out with friends or family, and there are lots of nice spots for pictures around the property too. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Picton!

Three Dog Winery

Winery
Food & Drink
Wineries & Vineyards
Nestled at the eastern edge of The County, Three Dog Winery offers a laid-back vineyard experience with no airs. You can savor their award-winning wines in the cozy tasting room and then relax under the gazebo overlooking their 10-acre vineyard. This family-owned winery produces thousands of liters of wine annually, including varieties like Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc.
I would give this winery 10 stars if I could. A winery with a cozy atmosphere, welcoming and friendly team. Visited this winery for their snow shoeing adventure. Absolutely amazing. Adam was our guide and was helpful, fun and made sure everyone was having a good time. We snow shoed to the sugar shack where a fire was waiting for us. Kyle and Andrew were ready to serve us wine which was so much fun. Sitting around a fire, tasting wine, having lunch was magical. The wines were so good. We tried the field white, Chardonnay, Rose and then their Big Red. I’m not a red wine drinker but it would’ve been rude not to try it. It was delicious and I even had seconds. 😁 looks like I’m converted. Highly recommend this vineyard. Looking forward to visiting in the summer.
June G — Google review
Wonderful experience. We had the signature wine flight and every wine was really good! My mom had the premium and she loved it as well. Megan was very welcoming and sweet during our visit. Would highly recommend the cheese platter to pair with the wines. We came with our toddler and she enjoyed seeing the dog and petting him. Highly recommend bringing your own toys if you have a kid so they're occupied while you enjoy the wine tasting. Outdoor space is wonderful and I can imagine it's super popular during summer. DEFINITELY try the sangria spritz... A delicious summer drink!
Jacqui L — Google review
Friendly, casual, rural, beautiful rustic winery. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The wines are delicious and the setting is fantastic. And there was love music. ☺️ Definitely add this one to your wine tour. We will be back for sure.
Jane L — Google review
Three Dog Winery is the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at ease. It one of the most laid-back and inviting outdoor settings around. Between the sprawling picnic areas, shaded seating, and surrounding forest trails, it’s easy to spend an entire afternoon here and forget about the rest of the world. The vibe is casual and community-driven—live music on the weekends, wood-fired pizzas, and a family-friendly feel that still manages to be peaceful and scenic. It’s the perfect mix of fun and tranquil. And of course, the star of the show is the dog. Their sweet and friendly pup (true to the winery’s name) adds so much charm. It’s a small detail, but it really reinforces the warmth and personality of the place.
Lucas C — Google review
We were the first customers there. Very dog friendly atmosphere. There's a resident fur buddy there who's very friendly and well behaved. We tried the premium wine flight $22. The Riesling stood out as our favourite. The other ones were not our type of wine. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The weather was not the greatest it started to rain once we got seated in one of the gazebo tables. There's free water available for guests and their dogs. We also ordered the combination pizza with heirloom tomatoes, mushrooms and bacon bits. The pizza was baked in wood fire oven outside. Overall it was a pleasant visit. I just wish we had better weather.
Darby C — Google review
The absolute best staff, paired with incredible wine! So welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Not to mention, a beautiful back seating area with tons of tables and the perfect music. We had the crisp summer flight which we loved (all 4). But the top of the top was the 2024 Debut Sparking! Thank you so much for having us! We'll 100000% be coming back.
Vern P — Google review
This was our last stop during our self guided wine tour. We live in Kingston so the location was perfect to cover half the distance of our drive home. It was also a great place to have some wood-fired pizzas to finish the day. The smoke of the fire was the first thing I noticed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We also discovered their delicious Sangria Spritz, a fruity mix that is really nice to drink with ice.

Sandbanks Dunes Beach

Mentioned on
1 list
Beach
Outdoor Activities
Sandbanks Dunes Beach in Prince Edward County offers a picturesque setting with the world's largest freshwater sand bar and dune system. The undulating landscape behind the beach is perfect for exploration, leading to the warm and inviting West Lake. Visitors can enjoy fine sand, clear waters, and uncrowded surroundings due to limited access. The area provides opportunities for hiking on the dunes and stunning views from the top.
Amazing beach. There is parking right beside the beach. Great amount of space and such a beautiful view. Best to obtain day pass in advance especially during the weekend as the park may be full. The day passes must be displayed on the car and the park office can help to get it printed if bought online.
Sasika G — Google review
This is a great little beach. Plenty of spots to swim with the backdrop of the dunes. There is a comfort station, a canteen, a kids play ground and plenty of parking. Great for a day trip - this is the only sandbanks beach that’s open to the public without a park pass. There is a great trail that brings you from the surrounding campgrounds, if you are staying at the park. The dunes are really quite a highlight and very interesting to explore. Really, a natural wonder and a great beach if you have kids. Mostly because the water is very shallow and warm and there is just lots of room for them to explore and play. Catch some great views of Lake Ontario and West Lake
Victoria L — Google review
Its the best and biggest sand beach you can find in ontario. Have great parking spots and changing rooms for tourists. To access the beach visitors have to enter the sandbanks provincial area $21 ticket for car entrance. Great place to hang out.
Anil J — Google review
The Dunes are very cool! Lots of places to walk, explore and take some great photos. I'm not too sure about swimming in that body of water, as it has some mossy areas and foam. It also has a pretty quick and steep drop off, from shallow to deep. They warn everyone about that quite frequently with signage and it's pretty obvious when you look in the water. Washrooms were pretty clean, considering the amount of people visiting. You have to check out the Dunes if you are in the area. Out of the 3 main beaches, its Lakeshore #1, The Outlet #2 and The Dunes #3 for me. 👍🏾
N R — Google review
Sandbanks Provincial Park exceeded my expectations. The sand dunes are absolutely beautiful and brought back memories of the beaches back home in New England. The combination of soft sand, clear water, and natural beauty makes this a must-visit spot. I do think being here in the shoulder season made it extra special. I’m sure it’s a very different experience in the summer.
Erica C — Google review
Sandbanks dunes is a beautiful place. It's quiet, peaceful and you can hear the birds singing. The trail leads through a forest full of beautiful nature. The view from the dunes is stunning.
Ania K — Google review
Stopped by Sand Dunes beach today. The weather was beautiful and the water was lovely. The beach isn't as nice as the other Sandbanks Provincial Park beaches. It was muckier and not as much room.
Jason R — Google review
Beginning of the season was chilly. Be careful with children and non-swimmers since no lifeguard is present. Warnings included a sudden drop in water depth. Includes several boardwalks as part of the Dunes Trail (which is majority sandy), a play structure for kids and washroom facilities.

Lighthall Vineyards

Winery
Food & Drink
Wineries & Vineyards
Lighthall Vineyards, located in the Milford area of PEC, is a small but impressive winery known for its great wine and friendly, informative service. The winery offers its very own cheese with wine tastings at a reasonable price. While some visitors found the wines to be somewhat young and underdeveloped, others appreciated the unique concept of pairing wines with local cheeses. The laid-back ambiance and welcoming staff make for a pleasant tasting experience.
Fun, informative, and delicious wine tasting. The lady who did our tasting was just a gem. She was fun, attentive, and provided a lot of interesting information. She answered all our questions and went above and beyond to pair the perfect cheese and wines. It was my first time going, but my friend is a local and loves going here with guests because the experience is always amazing.
Tanzel P — Google review
Wonderful Vineyard! The cheese & wine pairings were spot on! The prices for tastings very reasonable! Not a very big winery but probably our favorite on this trip!
Jolyne D — Google review
What a delightful experience! Kimberly and the team were friendly and welcoming, expertly guiding us through tasting their (frankly spectacular) bubbles, whites and reds paired with their own sheep-milk cheeses. The exquisite traditional methode-champenoise sparking wines offered patisserie hints on the nose, with soft and delicate bubbles, fresh and gently citrusy on the palette. The whites were equality accomplished, particularly the generous, pinot gris, with silky and evocative honey and citrus notes. The real surprise were the reds, with a spectacular cab franc & merlot blend - gently peppery with spices and dried fruits on the nose, but fresh and bright on the palette. The cheeses were equally enjoyable, and a perfect accompaniment to the wine. Thank you so much, we'll be back!
Gareth M — Google review
We cycled into Lighthall just before closing time yesterday, so no tasting. However, the charming young woman behind the counter was happy to sell us a bottle. When we mentioned our interest in their rosè, she immediately suggested the South Bay Merlot rosè. We were lucky enough to take back the second last bottle to share with our friends. Coincidentally, we’re staying at a place overlooking South Bay - not far from the vineyard. An immensely exquisite wine. Well balanced, with a lot of character. So although you can’t enjoy this particular wine, do visit Lighthall and check what else they have. We’re going back.
Jeff C — Google review
Nice and very small vignards. We almost tried everything and fell in love with the cabernet franc and the fence sparkling wine. Recommend visiting it!
Martin L — Google review
The wine tasting was such a good experience, and Kat was so enthusiastic and informative as she explained the wines and the cheeses she paired with them to us. The wines were distinctive, and I especially liked their sparkling variety.
S T — Google review
What a lovely experience. The wine was delicious and the cheese was out of this world. And to top it all off Wendy our wine guide was so very warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable.
Sonia M — Google review
Lighthall Vineyards is definitely a gem!! Kimberly helped us and gave us lots of great information about the winery, wines & cheeses. We closed the place down on Sunday night. We bought 6 bottles and had to go back the next day as I forgot to buy cheese for my friend. We ended up buying 2 more bottles of the sparkling rose & cheese. We will definitely be returning!

Long Dog Vineyard & Winery

Temporarily Closed
Winery
Food & Drink
Wineries & Vineyards
Long Dog Vineyard & Winery is located in a secluded spot on the southern peninsula of Prince Edward County, away from the more popular winemaking areas. The owner, James Lahti, sought to create an intimate and relaxing experience for visitors. The winery is known for its delicious wines, particularly its Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, as well as a fantastic sparkling Gamay. Visitors appreciate the quieter location, finding it adds to the charm of the place.
This was my favourite wine of all the wineries I went to in PEC. Went for a tasting before heading out on the Sunday and so glad we did! It’s in a quieter area making it a little less accessible but it’s completely worth it. It actually adds to the charm. It has a more intimate and relaxing feel. The owner is funny and charming. His storytelling added a nice touch to the delicious wines we sampled in the tasting. I loved my first sip and somehow the wines kept getting better and better! Can’t wait to go back
Vanessa N — Google review
What a hidden gem! Definitely worth the drive. The tasting room is a short walk through the aromatic and overgrown vegetation along a stone path. We enjoyed our flight on the Muskoka chairs overlooking the vineyard. The Pinot Gris and Top Dog Pinot Noir were big hits with our group. Visit here!
Robyn K — Google review
I have detoured to visit this winery a few times and was never disappointed. Owner is knowledgeable and proud of his wines and terroir, and thus willing to chat about both with people who show interest. I prefer when it is quiet so I can engage in discussing winemaking in the county, an opportunity only available in small wineries. I am not sure what the reviewers giving zero or one star expect, but I’d much rather discuss with the owner who is authentic than with a salesperson.
Maxime B — Google review
In my opinion, Long Dog Winery makes the best Pinot Noirs and the best Chardonnays in Prince Edward County. Hands down. They also make a fantastic sparkling Gamay. You'll likely meet Victoria in the tasting room and if you're lucky, James will be around to pull the curtain back on how these incredible wines are made. This is a true County experience, where the wine and the beautiful farm speak for itself. Truly my favourite winery in all of PEC.
Jef M — Google review
We visited Long Dog Vineyard & Winery with friends; did the tasting and i bought Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, loved them both. Very friendly and good service.
Greg K — Google review
We have been to many wineries in the County. This takes the cake as the worst. The vineyards are overgrown and unkempt. The lady in the tastings was not pleasant and obviously didn’t care if we were there. The Chardonnay was tasteless. We left without buying anything. My glass was dirty. Highly Do not recommend.
Linda H — Google review
Our first visit yesterday and very disappointed. The lady with long curly blond hair working there was clearly not interested in meeting visitors (we were the only ones). The labeling of her wine bottles seemed much more interesting and important. I'm personally a Chardonnay lover and asked what was the difference between their Chardonnay Bella 2016 and 2017 and the Chardonnay Bella Bella 2017 which is quite legitimate as a question... Well, the answer was "Taste it and you'll know it"... Wow, what a response especially when you consider the price of their wines... Oh well, I left without purchasing any bottles and checked on the internet to get the answer. And I won't certainly go back. There are plenty of other places to visit anyway where the hosts/hostesses are much more friendly and enthusiastic to discuss and share their knowledge about their wines...
Josee M — Google review
We visited about 8 different vineyards/wineries in Prince Edward County and Long Dog was by far our favourite. Not only was the wine amazing but the owner was super friendly and the atmosphere was great. Other wineries we visited were crowded, loud and there was no one to really give you info about the wines. But we were the only ones there on a Friday afternoon and it was such a great experience. We were able to try as many wines as we wanted for free if we bought 2 bottles and we ended up buying 4 bottles.

Exultet Estates, situated in the southern part of Prince Edward County, is a historic farm that has been transformed into a flourishing vineyard. The winery, owned by the Spinosa Family, is housed in the former 1870's Royal Street Cheese Factory, preserving its rich heritage with minimal environmental impact.
Exultet Estates for me I feel is one of the best wineries if not the best. The wines they produce year in year out are superb. The vintner is great to chat with and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
Yodaman S — Google review
Privately owned, we loved this one. The owners are kind and knowledgeable, and their wine is really very well made, super smooth and a great price. It was my favourite wineries of the day because of the family feel and the love they put in.
Cherith H — Google review
The winery is family-run and experience of wine-tasting with the owner is very educative and personal. She gave us excellent advice on which wines we should try and buy. We were very impressed with their pinot noirs, and I loved the fortified wine they have created. They had apple and orange wines that are very unusual, as well.

Intimate with a unique history, this Vinyard will hold a special place in our hearts as wine lovers. Remarkable wines made by kind people, dedicated to the art with local pride.

We had a quite unique experience at Exultet Estates. Great hospitality, excellent variety of domestic wines, deep knowledge of wine producing and time to share it with their customers. Will definitely be back.
Caterina O — Google review
Amazing winery, we came here on a Sunday and Gerry the owner spent over 1 hour talking to us about his wines and shared his passion. The wines here are probably the best of all the Prince Edward County and on european standards. Extremely impressive! We were recommended this winery by a wine bar in Kingston and loved it. If you are looking for an amazing tasting and experience, this is the place to go.

Lovely family-run winery with a very informative tasting offered. We cycled there for a tasting and drove back the next day to purchase a couple bottles of our favourites, and strolled through the grounds with a glass of wine to top it off. Glorious!

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Point Petre Wildlife Conservation Area is a popular spot known for its stunning sunsets and picturesque views of Lake Ontario. The area features rocky shores and flat rocks that are perfect for swimming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. Accessible by car, visitors can also take a short walk from a nearby parking area to reach the water. While the road to get there may be easy to miss and bumpy, the serene atmosphere and fantastic views make it worth the visit.
What a lovely, local spot. It has no white sand and is quite rough, so dont go there is you want to have a beach day. Its more a local spot that is really quiet and has some lovely scenic spots if you dont plan on swimming.
Cherith H — Google review
Definitely a not-to-be-missed serenity spot if you want to get away from crowdedness of sandsbank. Fantastic view. However, the road (actually it's a small trail) to get there is easy to miss (no sign) and bumpy (not maintained at all).
Yi Z — Google review
No road access or parking lot, not accessible. Beautiful views once you get to shoreline. Very restricted area so not much you can do there. Beautiful point for a picnic on the rocks or a quick swim.
MB U — Google review
If you have an ATV or 4x4 this is a beautiful spot! Been here many times, it’s always 1 of my must-see’s when I’m in the area! (Difficult to reach by regular car, bit of a hike on foot)
Jay L — Google review
Great time and picturesque views! Highly recommended and tucked away for only a few to find. Accessible by car but roads are a bit tight. You can also park about 5 min away and walk down those same roads using one of several paths leading to the water. Only one warning is that younger kids should be watched carefully with many big rocks in and out of waters. A must see and great picnic spot!
George K — Google review
It’s ok. But access is hard as you need to park on road and hike in there around the lakes of water ! I made the mistake of driving in, and it scratched the hell out of my truck😩 You can see better sites at Lakeshore lodge area. Similar rocks but better !

A slightly rocky and slippery beach, but beautiful views of the lake and lighthouse.

Blumen Garden Bistro is a delightful culinary haven that beautifully marries seasonal inspiration with contemporary dining. Nestled just minutes from Downtown Picton, this charming bistro offers serene outdoor seating amidst a stunning mature garden—perfect for enjoying lunch on sunny days. As evening falls, the ambiance transforms into an elegant setting where guests can savor dishes influenced by the chef's Swiss roots and South American adventures.
As always Bluemen provides a wonderful experience start to finish. With a small but tasty and well executed menu, the food is superb. Beautiful outdoor garden seating areas are just another perk. Very lucky to have such a great place in Picton. Ordered the lamb, ribeye, mains and duck meatball and chickpea fries for appetizers. All were great!
Dan G — Google review
Had dinner there last night as a group of 4. What a great place to eat. First, their service was excellent our server friendly, attentive, and very lovely. Cocktails fantastic. The wine selection was small but very lovely local and other wines. We had of course the Chickpea fries, what am I telling you, amazing. They are that good that we ordered two orders. We also had the pork belly -Tuna, and Crab cakes. All excellent. As a main, we had the steak, the lamb, and the vegetarian dish and I would rank it as excellent and very enjoyable. Desert creme brûlée and Strawberry Rhubarb cake. Again, excellent and tasty. So overall, a wonderful dining experience, very friendly staff, lovely environment and all of that for a reasonable price. We all highly recommend Blumen.
Marc — Google review
From making the reservations to the meal itself the experience at Blumen's was fantastic. Our first anniversary was made perfect by the fantastic meal at Blumen's. All items on the menu made our mouth water and sounded delicious, it made for a very difficult choice on selecting what to have. Staff were extremely helpful in selecting beverages, and giving insight to meal selections. The venue itself was intimate and cozy, we were seated on the back deck which was a very cozy spot to enjoy the meal. Starters for the evening included tartare and stuffed squid. After hemming about the mains we settled on the lamb and duck, and we were not disappointed at all. Each bite was full of rich flavours that we attempted to savour for as long as we could. Finishing the meal was the creme brule which was the perfect end to the evening. Reasonably priced for an excellent meal, it made perfect sense as well to get a round for the kitchen, (great option on the menu!). Overall a restaurant we will be returning to again.

A great option for fine dining in the country. We were there wore thanksgiving as a three generation family. Our table loved the rabbit gnocchi. The grouper was also a hit. Would definitely be back.

This was my favourite place in Picton! The service was outstanding and the food was out of this world. The price was really reasonable considering the food quality and the presentation. My husband and I shared every appetizer on the menu as a main meal ! We had our server pair a few wines from PEC. The whole experience was mesmerizing.

Superb cuisine! Each item on the menu is a excellent! Such an array of different flavours on each plate! Highly recommend 😊👍
Yodaman S — Google review
The food was fantastic, compliments to the chef! I ordered a special not typically on the menu, pork tenderloin cooked per chef's recommendation with green beans, spaetzele with a buttery bourginion, and kholrabi coleslaw. Everything was excellent. Booking here can be difficult, it seems to be a very popular spot so give yourself time to get a spot and book a few days in advance.

This restaurant is one of the best in town (but in through there are many), great service, amazing food, and they are always willing to welcome a larger group. Definitely consider this a must visit location.

The Waring House Restaurant & Inn

Inn
Conference center
The Waring House Inn, Restaurant, Cookery School & Conference Center is a charming and elegant inn located in Prince Edward County. Originally purchased in 1995 by Norah and Christopher Rogers, the property has been transformed into a beautiful accommodation with stylish rooms and Victorian-era decor. The inn offers 49 guest rooms, including suites in restored farmhouses and modern lodges. The on-site pub, The Barley Room, serves excellent pub fare and hosts live entertainment from local artists.
This inn is a gem with it being competitively priced and the location. The King room suite was great with the bedroom separated from the sitting area. The tvs are a little small for the size of the room but that is my only complaint. The breakfast which was included was amazing and the barley house pub had acceptable food (nachos were a little over cooked) and the atmosphere was alot of fun with musical entertainment. We also ate in Picton one night and was able to get a taxi (Terrys taxi). Would definitely stay here again!!
Tekla K — Google review
Beautiful gardens and beautiful setting. We ate outside on their patio and it was lovely. The lamb shank was delicious and the coconut cream pie heavenly. My salmon was a little bland and at $42 felt a little overpriced. Our server was very nice quick and very attentive. Overall very nice experience. 🩷
Elle A — Google review
Overall, my stay was pleasant, but there were several areas that could use improvement. The room was very spacious, but a few design choices seemed impractical. For example, the washroom was large, yet the shower was extremely small. Replacing the oversized soaker tub, which seemed underutilized with a spacious walk-in shower would greatly enhance the experience. The TV was disproportionately small for the size of the room, making it difficult to enjoy from the bed area. The automatic sliding doors downstairs were quite loud and disruptive at night, which affected sleep quality. The carpet appeared dated and was pulling up around the edges of the room, which detracted from the overall look and feel. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. Breakfast being complimentary was appreciated, but service was very slow on the first morning (over 45 minutes). We were told this was due to a large booking, but with better planning and communication, this could likely be avoided in the future. The food itself was decent once it arrived. With a few updates and better planning, the overall guest experience could be significantly improved.
Horizoncarrie G — Google review
We had a room in the house next-door. The beds were absolutely terrible. I would expect them in a cheap motel. The dining room and meal was substandard for the prices that you charge. It should be an outstanding meal. The steaks weren’t cooked properly you were out of Three different menu items and one dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast though. I was surprised to see brown paper napkins instead of linen. Heather is awesome. Perfect server. Our room had no fridge, which is very annoying and no ice machine in our building. This is not acceptable for a higher end destination. Not sure if I would go back.
Monica F — Google review
Do not eat here - it is not fine dining. I booked a reservation and they did not have a table ready for us when we arrived. Although the restaurant was not full they said “sit anywhere you want”. It was our 30th wedding anniversary which I let them know when booking and it was not acknowledged at all. The Caesar salad looked like it came out of a bag and scallops were like dried Kidney beans the size of peas with a chunk of bacon fat. There were only 4 options on the mains and none looked appealing. Being a culinary school we thought there would be ample selection and high end options. We each ordered beef tenderloin medium rare and when it arrived it looked like it had been poached for hours. It was way over cooked(grey all the way through) and zero sear. When we told the server she said “oh that’s unfortunate”. Despite not eating mine it was not removed from our bill - a desert was offered instead which I declined. While we were trying to finish our wine a bus boy started clearing the rest of the 6 seat table they put us at to set up for breakfast as we were told. Really ? That’s fine dining? Our Bill was $260 for the two of us and food was atrocious as was the service. Do not eat here - zero value.
Glenn S — Google review
On a recent trip to Picton, we booked the Waring House through Hotels.com. On arrival, instead of getting the Deluxe room that we paid for, we were put in a Standard room. Staff insisted that this tiny room on the second floor was a Deluxe room despite their website photos and description clearly describing it as a Standard room. The place is tired and in need of a refresh and I would certainly not recommend booking through a third party as you will get the cheapest room they have to offer. I highly recommend a visit to Picton but would definitely not stay at the Waring House again. It may have been great years ago but is certainly not anymore.
Debbie B — Google review
We were guests at a wedding at The Waring House. The venue was great. Food delicious. The staff were amazing - they brought colouring pages and books out for my kids, as well as bringing their dinner and dessert early! I didn’t ask for anything from them, they were just completely on the ball!
Amanda S — Google review
Overall, my stay was pleasant, but there were several areas that could use improvement. The property outside is very nice, lots of flowers, grass and area to sit. Cute little resort vibe between buildings. The room we had was very spacious (not sure what we booked), separate living room with a king size bed bedroom. A few design choices seemed impractical. For example, the washroom was large, but with a extremely small shower and abnormally big bath. The TV was quite small for the size of the room. Not what you normally see in hotels rooms. The carpet appeared outdated and would need a good wash/replacement. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. Small fridge in room. We got overly lucky with a mini hot tub on our patio. Very small but it was nice to cool off during the heat wave. Breakfast being complimentary was appreciated, but the waitress was definitely overwhelmed with the amount of people. The service was quick and The food arrived warm and the portions were big. We eat one night at the pub, the food was good but we got not lucky with our waitress. The one assigned to our table was the worse I ever had. But i can tell that the guy behind the bar and the other lady was amazing. Overall we liked our experience but the whole place seemed stuck in the late 1990/early 2000. But it give a different vibe.

The Acoustic Grill is a charming and intimate tavern that offers a cozy pub atmosphere with live acoustic music. The rustic decor, adorned with records, albums, and guitars, sets the perfect backdrop for enjoying their top-notch music selection while indulging in their delicious pub-grub menu featuring must-try items like honey-garlic wings and the best vegetarian gravy poutine in town. Located in downtown, it's an ideal spot to people-watch from their inviting patio.
5 stars for vegetarian gravy - finally I can have poutine! Hubby said he didn’t even taste the difference. Both veggie and beef (hubby) burger were so good. The potato bun is so soft! Excellent local libations. Music 6 nights of the week in Summer. Great place for date night.

Took a drive a little east and happened upon Acoustic Grill. The food was excellent! Reasonably priced food salad portion could have been a bit bigger but overall flavour was great. The citrus dressing was a hit and the steak was perfectly cooked. Atmosphere was lovely, quaint spot with a musical flair! Will be back in the summer!
Lesley D — Google review
This is a classic pub, with great service and delicious food. We understand that during high season there is frequently live music, but we came mid-May, so there wasn't any. We ordered a Corned Beef Sandwich ($19) which came with loads of beef and locally made ballpark mustard, with pickle on sourdough bread. This was delicious though the bread was disappointingly soggy. It came with shoe string fries, which were amazing. On request we got a side of roasted red pepper aioli to enjoy with our fries. Our second order was the Hot Honey Fried Chicken sandwich ($20). It’s a small sandwich, which makes it expensive for the quantity, but it is good size you’re looking for a lighter meal. The chicken was juicy, the sauce was medium spicy and really tasty, and the batter was very crunchy. This went really well with the compilation salad (goat cheese, lettuce, zucchini, cranberries). It was a great meal and we’ll definitely be back. $92 for our two dishes, 3 Waupoos ciders on tap, tax and tip. * The food menu is small, with just enough variety to give choices and feel confident they can nail each dish. The drinks menu has lots to offer in the way of beer and cider. We definitely recommend dropping in!

This place made my evening! Perfect restaurant to enjoy awesome food at the end of your beach day. Can't recommend enough!! 🏖🍔 We got Steak sandwich with the side of Sweet potato poutine! They don't skimp on the meat, they piled up two steaks on a bun and served it with the creamiest horseradish mayo. And the poutine was EASILY one of the best I had in a while! The crispy sweet potatoe fries goes so well with savory gravy and cheese 😋 Hot honey chicken sandwich was FIRE🔥 too, it had the perfect amount of heat and got the best crispy texture. We were surprised! Definitely check it out if you're in the area. It will be the highlight of your vacation!!

This is an awesome place. The music was amazing ... Can't remember the name of the band but they were a duo that played a lot of Tragically hip. The fellow had his mouth open wide and the sound was great ... Lots of people singing along. Also, the Acoustic Grill hamburger was probably the best I ever had. Have been here before and will definitely go again!🥰

Charming but busy local spot! Good service and beer & cider selection. Food was OK. We enjoyed the tacos but weren’t big fans of the hot honey fried chicken sandwich. They also have live music which was nice!!

The Inn at Lake on the Mountain is a popular spot for locals and tourists in Picton, Ontario. The restaurant offers both American and Canadian dishes including burgers, fries, and chicken. The patio overlooks the lake, making it a perfect place to enjoy a casual lunch or dinner. The service was prompt and informative, and the food was delicious. The mountain beer was excellent too! Thanks for a great experience!
I go here almost every time I visit my grandparents (Bill and Norma) and it’s always a treat! The strawberry salad is DELICIOUS I could eat 10 in one sitting. My mom also had the summer corn gnocchi and it was soooo good I hope they bring it back this summer!! Obviously the parking situation can be tough considering the limited space in the area, so just be careful when crossing the street. We sat inside once and there was a tiny bit of a bee problem so I had to kill a few bees lol but overall always a great experience and my grandparents love it!

We stopped in at The Inn at Mountain on the Lake and had a great experience. The place has a charming, vintage vibe that feels cozy and welcoming. We ordered the rigatoni and the beer-braised beef, along with a Caesar salad. The food was tasty, fresh, and well-prepared, and it came with a nice touch of complimentary bread (four pieces). The rigatoni was flavourful and satisfying without being heavy, and the beer-braised beef was very tender, flavourful, and you could really taste a subtle hint of the beer in the sauce — a nice touch that made it stand out. Service was good throughout — friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Prices felt fair for the quality and atmosphere. Overall, I’d recommend this spot to anyone visiting Picton and looking for a solid meal in a classic setting. Worth a visit! Make sure you bring bug spray if you are gonna eat outside.

What a truly wonderful discovery! The Inn is a fusion of French and Italian styles in an inspiring way that is all about dining detail. From the fois gras with peppercorns, to the best pudding au chomeur I've experienced yet... the owner's recipe that is OMG to die for. Olivia, our server, made the experience all the more pleasurable. She was the perfect balance of attentive without being intrusive. July 2025 Update: Still one of the best dining experiences going without the crazy prices. A great menu that’s sure to please. Danielle, the owner with French Canadian roots, is also a wonderful host. A definite recommendation if you’re near Lake on the Mountain (Picton).

The food was excellent. The service was great. The atmosphere was decent, they had a LOT of flies which likely could have been managed better. What will keep me from coming back is the 1.5% surcharge on credit cards. I get they don’t want to pay the fees but it’s the cost of doing business. It would not have upset me if they were upfront about it but they only told us after our meal. If you are going to accept credit cards as payment either eat the fees or tell people up front that you have a surcharge.

Breathtaking view! We were with friends and showed up after lunch around 2:30pm. No wait and a table on the patio with a view! Wow! I know it's a busy place, but this time we were lucky. Great view from the top of the mountain and overlooking the bay. We ordered burrata and fish spread tartinades (served on charcuterie boards) and nice cocktails (saving our wine for the vineyards). Really enjoyed the entire experience and especially the gorgeous setting.
Roxane M — Google review
It’s one of the rarest times I put a low rating. The iced coffee they have is to die for! Really good! The food is good but small portions for the price. The view is extraordinary with an amazing view. The service could be improved and here’s why: 1- It was a very hot day, and every other table had water, but we didn’t. When I asked why only our table doesn’t have? They said per their policy, we have to ask for water. So I asked for water and it came 30 min after I asked! 2- When my friend asked if an option on the menu has meat because he wanted to have a veg meal, the server laughed with attitude and said obviously, it is written there on the menu. 3- When a friend asked for sugar, she gave him a weird look. 4- She was impatient while we were ordering. 5-Despite the service, we were forced to pay 18% gratuity even when service was not good. So when I asked this doesn’t seem fair to pay 18% when service could have improved. The manager was called and said it is our policy, when I explained my concerns respectfully and kindly, she manipulated the situation and said that I am accusing her of being racist, I have never mentioned this word whatsoever, just my experience and how I felt. She still didn’t validate my points and said “well, you got the best seats with the best view!” So unprofessional! I hope this would be a learning experience for everyone.

Miller House in Picton is all about the view and it's absolutely worth it. Perched on a hilltop with a sweeping view over Lake Ontario, the patio offers one of the most relaxing and scenic dining spots in Prince Edward County. Sitting there, looking down at the water and surroundings feels like a quiet escape from the busy world. The food was moderately good but small portions, the prices are on the higher end for what you get. That said, it's clear you're paying for the setting more than the meal. Overall the experience feels worthwhile. I still would recommend this spot for the ambiance, it made a great scenic stop during our PEC day trip, sometimes a beautiful view and a calm seat in the sun are exactly what you need.

Oh wow, when you come to PEC you must go there ! The view is amazing, you are 200 feet above the bay, good music and not to load so you really relax and enjoy the view and the drinks, we recommand the panache drink made blond local beer + sparkling limonade, its really good and not to sweet. Near the restaurant you can walk only 2 minutes and go on 2 points of view for public on the lake in the montain at the same level of the street and the other side of the street you see the bay 200 feet below its really spécial and beautiful

Small, quaint restaurant. There was a half hour wait, but it was totally worth it. The service was top notch and the food was great. We had the eggs Benedict and eggs/bacon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Friendly, family-run local spot with big portions at great value. I had the Classic Breakfast with 3 eggs, 2 farmers sausages, hash browns with mushrooms & onions for $13, and it kept me going all beach day. Our kids loved their Eggs Benny and breakfast poutine. Nestled in the charming landscapes of Prince Edward County, The County Cider Company - Tasting Room offers a delightful cider tasting experience set against the backdrop of its scenic orchard and vineyard. Established in 1995 on a family farm with a rich apple-growing heritage dating back to 1850, this estate winery boasts an impressive selection of artisanal ciders made from locally grown apples.
One of my favorite places in PEC! I'm coming every time I visit. The ciders are delicious. Their ice ciders are also incredibly good. They got a medal for their 2017 millésime. You can have pizza and there are gluten free options and you can enjoy it with cider by the vineyards with the view on the lake! What else? The service is excellent! Free parking. You can only have a good time here! Come in and see for yourself!

This is a great place from early spring where it’s too cold to sit outside (so they make mini fires) to middle of the summer with their various ciders and menu options. There are always plenty of Instagram worthy photos with games and displays of the property. They make great gluten free options, which is nice for the celiac community. Locally owned and Operated, it is a county must!

We did two tasting flights and loved every single cider we tried. Bought a little jug of the watermelon cider. There was live music, great service, beautiful view over the vineyard looking at lake Ontario, and a very relaxing visit.

555 Brewing Co

Brewery
Pizza restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Picton, 555 Brewing Co is a must-visit spot for a laid-back pub atmosphere offering beer, pizza, and pretzels. The menu features unique pizzas like the vegan option with tomatoes, basil, balsamic, and garlic cashew cheese. This local gem hosts various events such as bingo and drag nights while providing warm customer service. Visitors can enjoy the patio and explore different beer options to take home.
Fantastic Craft Brews and Great Atmosphere! I recently visited 555 Brewing Co, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The beer selection is phenomenal, with a wide variety of craft brews that cater to all tastes. Each beer we tried was expertly brewed, bursting with flavor, and clearly made with passion. The atmosphere is equally impressive—cozy, welcoming, and perfect for hanging out with friends or family. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations based on your preferences. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a laid-back place to enjoy some quality drinks, 555 Brewing Co is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their unique offerings. Highly recommended!

Had a great time here. It was। sunny day so decided to sit outside. Pizzas: 3.5/5 (I am sure their Pizzas are a 5/5 for certain people, for me, I like typical loaded Pizzas so it was a 3.5 - No complaints) Beer - We ordered American Lager - Just amazing. (4/5 - Just because they are a tad expensive) Made the visit to Picton worthwhile. Keep up the good work. Thanks for serving us.

First time at this local brewery serving up piping hot firewood oven pizza pies. The dough was fresh and made in house. Most the ingredients sourced locally and prepped to order. One of the best pizzas we have tried outside our home. Washed them them down with a couple of their craft batch brews. Crisp and refreshing. Casual atmosphere with a very welcoming service team that did not leave anything wanting .

This restaurant had a nice vibe, lots of outdoor seating (albeit we sat inside). Loved all the hanging plants inside. Our waiter was super nice, great guy. The pizzas were very good, although I found them to be a touch on the small side. We were sharing a couple of pizzas amongst 4 of us and I could have totally eaten one whole pizza myself lol. If I was to come again, I would definitely order my own and indulge!

Second time visiting Picton and 555 Brewing Co was the first place we headed to for dinner. "Beer and Pizza", don't get much better than that! And on a hot sunny evening!! Menu selection is not too big, not too small. It's nice to not have endless selections like take out pizza joints have. The flavor profiles are amazing. Who comes up with this ? Top that off with great beer, and you can purchase your favorite in cans to take home. I recommend this establishment to all my friends.

Great service, great pizza (#13 with chili oil on top) and good drinks! I had the grapefruit wheat and it’s a nice, light refreshing beer, perfect for a hot summer day.

Absolutely delicious - hands down the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. I triple checked with the server because I was so skeptical based on how delicious it was - As a celiac person, I cannot roll the dice with accidental mix ups. They did not disappoint. Excellent service. Lovely establishment. Would 10/10 recommend!

Ate here twice on a recent trip, the vegan pizza options are amazing! I also enjoyed the American lager and the service was great too! I will say they seemed to be lacking slightly on bussing tables and seating people, might have been a staffing issue, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Really good pizza!

Gus's Family Restaurant

Family restaurant
Gus's Family Restaurant is a friendly and affordable family restaurant in Picton, Ontario. The menu features basic food items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, and coffee. However, the quality of the food often garners positive reviews from customers. The server is attentive and polite, making it an ideal place to stop for breakfast or lunch.
I go back to this place every time I am in Picton. just great. Food is amazing and service it's outstanding. On my pictures: greek salad, poutine, double burger and soup of the day (chicken and rice, grandma style !)

AMAZING!!! Great little spot for a family dinner. All items on the menu were excellent and the prices more than reasonable and very large portions. One of the best pizzas I've had, I highly recommend it. If you're in the Picton area, a must stop!

Excellent Service✨ Great Food⭐ Always a good meal.😁

Hit and miss. Enjoyed their pizza, Greek chicken, children's fish and chips, but the baked lasagna was disgusting with no flavor (needs some serious love and should be sold as is).

My mom ordered liver and bacon but when she came home her daughter opened it and started eating the liver and she turned it over and it was green and it isn't suppose to be green now my daughter is in the washroom getting sick.

Cozy environment but the quality of food was super disappointing. Not local but stopped in after overhearing a conversation on the street that the food was surprisingly good so figured we’d give it a try. We were feeling burgers so that’s what my family went with. Unfortunately they were frozen burgers with stale buns. The prices were super cheap so I’m not sure why we expected the quality to be better 😂 half of our fries were cold and pure grease, the other half were hot but overcooked and hard. The cups were also extra greasy but the lady who gave us our food was super pleasant to deal with so there was some positive. Unfortunately though we won’t be returning and that’s a shame because we love to support the smaller guys 😣

Stopped by here yesterday for breakfast. I was a little concerned with a couple of the poor reviews. BUT we were welcomed very nicely. Poached eggs, sausage and bacon, coffee good for me. Server was very attentive and pleasant. We will definitely be going back, next time I might try lunch. Good basic food, may not be for everyone but was good for my wife and I. Good value for the money.

Friendly local diner in Picton. A bit of everything on the menu: breakfast, burgers, Greek AND pizza. Uploading the menu because it doesn't seem to be online anywhere!

The Knoll

Restaurant
Perched on a knoll overlooking the stunning Sandbanks Provincial Park, Restaurant on the Knoll offers a delightful dining experience. Whether you opt for the seasonal beachside patio or the covered veranda, you'll be treated to breathtaking sunset views. The menu features an array of delectable dishes such as fish tacos, fish and chips, artichoke dips, Caesar salad with chicken, and cheesecake.
Exceptional dining experience ! Highly recommended ! Our large group had an absolutely outstanding lunch at The Knoll, and I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable and the food exceeded all expectations. The menu offerings were exceptional across the board. We sampled numerous appetizers and tried almost all the hot dishes, including the ravioli, mussels, burgers, and pasta. Every single dish featured generous portions with remarkably fresh ingredients that truly showcased the kitchen's commitment to quality. Our waitress Kristy was nothing short of amazing – attentive, knowledgeable, and made our large group feel completely welcomed and well-cared for throughout our meal. The manager on duty was equally impressive, ensuring everything ran smoothly and checking in to make sure our experience was perfect. The patio seating offers a truly stunning view that adds an extra dimension to the dining experience. I highly recommend requesting patio seating if weather permits – the scenery is absolutely breathtaking and complements the excellent food perfectly.

It was my first time here, coming from Toronto and I absolutely loved it! The staff is so friendly and I loved the grilled hangar steak!! 10/10 I already can’t wait to come back here again soon

A fantastic dining experience in beautiful Picton. 💫 I initially picked the restaurant strictly for the view — which was spectacular!! — but the excellent food was a welcome surprise. I got the vegan oyster mushroom dish and was super impressed with the flavour and freshness. 🤌🏾 I would definitely order it again and I can’t wait to come back to the Knoll the next time I’m in Picton. The service too was warm, professional, and fast, very impressive considering we were a group of 8. 🥰 I was especially pleased with the ease with which the bill was split. 🙌🏾

We had dinner at The Knoll and it was wonderful. The restaurant overlooks the lake, and we were lucky enough to get a table right by the water. The food was just as impressive as the view, every dish we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. But what really made the experience stand out was the service. Our server, Lisa, was incredible. She was so kind, funny and attentive. She had great recommendations and made us feel welcome! We left feeling so happy about our evening. Highly recommend!

Had dinner at the Knoll tonight, with a couple girlfriends, the service and food was top tear! Krissy, Lisa, Aleah, Taylor, Tenzin, Raymond and Steve all were tentative, knowledgeable, kind and personable. They were busy, and had a few challenges with the water system, but did their best to keep everyone happy. I witnessed them approach each table several times throughout the night to see if everyone was ok and had everything they needed from 6pm-9:15pm (we had a few drinks after dinner and enjoyed the patio until close) being a server is not an easy job and this team did an incredible job tonight! Water was off for the resort for a short time, but alternatives were provided. Great job tonight to the Knoll! We will be back!

Has a fantastic dinner including octopus, baked ricotta, mussels, trout, fish & chips and hamburger. The service was very good/ excellent. We sat outside and watched the sunset, great views.

Went for lunch on July 1, 2025. We had not been there for some time and based on our last visit we did not expect too much. Turns out that ownership changed once again. There is some inspiration in the kitchen. All three meals were quite good. Service was very good. It was a warm day and there was no A/C. Doors were open to outside and as a result there were wasps inside. That was why I downgraded the rating on atmosphere. The room was set up nicely and of course the view across West Lake to the Dunes at Sandbanks is great. I have since told friends about the positive changes and it is likely that we will return for another meal.

Incredible...... from the moment we walked through the doorway. Once you come in the front entrance you're instantly taken back by the view, absolutely breathtaking. With the back patio seating you are literally on the beach, sand beneath the deck you sit on. The water is crystal clear with a view you can only dream of. The food was exceptional. They offer a limited menu because they take pride in their dishes going the extra mile to make each one of them perfect. I had the Veggie Burger and let me tell you - it was all kinds of flavour! The charcuterie board was perfect for 1 person and offered a visually appealing presentation. The most exceptional aspect of this outing was the customer service... we had LISA & she made us feel at home. She went above and beyond to ensure I obtained a meal I actually enjoy, considering I'm vegetarian. She made us feel welcomed instantly and allowed us to choose our own seating. She gave us a memorable experience and we can't thank her enough for making our first date night out in over 4 months just perfect. Thank you for an incredible afternoon we can NOT WAIT to be back 🤗

Nice, quaint, user friendly and newly built airport with friendly staff in the retail shops . Quick access to the rideshare area. Easy pickup. Departure a couple of days later was also very easy and efficient, even getting through TSA was a breeze!

Lovely little airport. The weekly car parking was extremely busy. Once inside everything is very clean. The gates are easily accessible. The staff are friendly. The bathrooms are immaculate. Best thing is they have full doors with no gaps!

Came here to rent a car with my family and it was easy and cheap. This airport was really clean and looked easy to navigate. Btw screw dodge hornet 🐝 cars they will try to steer for u and take control. They r weird. We got assigned a dodge hornet and my mom didn’t like the car at all it had way to many auto pilot features. Weird 😂

Picking up arrival passengers is a complete mess and thoroughly obnoxious. It used to not be like this, the airport used to be very convenient and easy to pick up arrival passengers. It has already happened twice recently when I have driven up to the arrivals area to pick up my gf after coming home from her business trips, the airport staff are immediately, like within 30 seconds of me pulling up, in my face telling me 1) I need to move my vehicle right now, even as my gf is already right there and is about to place her luggage in the trunk, and 2) I need to keep driving around the grounds of the airport until my gf is out on the sidewalk to be picked up, even though she is actually already there on the sidewalk next to me ready to be picked up, and ready to place her luggage in the trunk. Not exaggerating at all. It's crazy. They are doing this even when there are barely any vehicles in the arrivals area. I was also told by another airport staff that I had 3 minutes to pick her up, even though she was already there ready to place her luggage in the trunk. I got really annoyed and told him to literally start timing me. We were of course done and out in less than 1 minute. I'm literally NOT curbside waiting for many minutes. I'm literally there to quickly pick up my gf who is ALREADY THERE on the spot and the staff are hounding me anyways. If anything, it prolongs the pickup because now you're debating with them while the arrivals passenger is already there ready to get picked up to go home. My gf was very unhappy with their attitude and gave them a dirty look. What an unwelcome way for a passenger to come home to Rochester. I can imagine a first time visitor getting put off by this unfriendliness and unhelpfulness upon arrival in Rochester. Literally I'm considering making use of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport instead next time I'm air traveling.

Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport is convenient and easy to navigate. It’s smaller than many airports, which makes security and boarding quick. The staff is friendly, and there are decent food and coffee options. Great for smooth, hassle-free travel.
Alessia P — Google review
If you pull up, and drop someone off, be prepared to be told your going to get towed if you don't move your car. If you picking someone up, and their plane has landed, be prepared to be threatened by security, and then by the police, this place is on lock down 24/7, and they don't care who you're waiting for, all they care about, is the money they getting for all those tickets they can write. Easily the worst airport in NYS. Always under construction, and it's never going to be finished.
