Whiskey in the Jar

$$$$affordable
Steak house
"Whiskey in the Jar" is a popular restaurant known for its unique decor, fantastic cocktails, and live music. The atmosphere is described as laid back and fun, with attentive and kind staff members. The menu offers a variety of steak options, ribs with unique sauce, and other delicious dishes. The bar area is well-decorated and offers a selection of brilliant cocktails to enjoy. Overall, it's praised for its excellent service, food quality, and memorable ambiance.
Good food, comes out rather quick aswell, orders a Entrecote medium rare which came out a bit more on the rare side but was overall really good, so not complaining. It's a bit on the more on the expensive side, but if you fancy good drinks, good food and nice service + cool atmosphere. Then go for it. Food is not 5/5 as it should have been a bit more on the rare side, but it worked out in the end. Service + atmosphere was amazing. So definitely 5/5. Will put 4/5 on the atmosphere as it was a bit smokey on the inside due frying the meat on your own on a hot stone plate. Which in itself was really cool. Would recommend!

Went in for drinks and they didn’t disappoint! Drinks were freshly made. Didn’t have food but other food that was brought out looked amazing so deffo want to go back to try!
Laura M — Google review
Very busy place, as soon as we entered the said the wait for food is 1 hour, that was the only downfall. The staff were lovely and friendly. Food was exceptional and delicious, great sides. My husband asked for medium however he got a rare which was another minus. Overall, it was a great meal with a long wait.
Keera G — Google review
The food was good, but nothing special. Also, don't get the lava stone steak unless you really want an extremely hot stone radiating heat right into your face your entire meal. Servers were all friendly, punctual, and the atmosphere was lively.
Casey D — Google review
I looked up steakhouses in G'Dansk and this caught my eye. Having 4.6 stars I figured we couldn't go wrong. I have to say it just wasn't that impressive. I assumed that based on reviews it would be a mostly quiet atmosphere. When arriving for our 1900 reservation, I was immediately proven wrong by the Black Sabbath that greeted us upon walking in. Time for drinks and ordered 2 old fashioned's. They come in a jar with a straw. Um, this isn't how you drink old fashioneds, you sip them in a rocks glass. We also ordered a larger bottle of water, server brought it with 2 glasses both glasses had that wet dog smell. You know the smell, it means something is a miss in the dishwashing area. I ordered the upgraded sirloin medium. It was slightly overcooked but still had good flavor. It was the best thing for sure. It came with fries which weren't hot and a small salad which was ok. My wife had the country burger which she said was ok. I will say the service was excellent overall as we were checked on multiple times. It just wasn't what I was expecting. Being from the states it had a sit down chain restaurant feel and not the type of place that would make me want to come back. There are multiple steakhouses in G'Dansk. I'm disappointed that I had dinner 1 of my 3 nights here in this area.
Ryan W — Google review
We had the blooming onion and sweet potato fries as starters and those were very good. As the main dish we had the rock'n'steak which is where we got a bit disappointed. They mixed our steaks so we had to swap after noticing. Swapping while the steak was sizzling on a burning hot rock wasn't the easiest thing to do while sitting. And then the rock was way too hot. The steak got burned and overcooked before we could finish it. One of our two pieces of meat was not up to the standard cut of the other one. And the steak fries were plain boring, we didn't even finish them. And why's there no sauce to go with the meat? Considering the service, the mixup and the bad cut of steak Whiskey failed to deliver according to the hefty price the restaurant charges for it's food.
Stefan P — Google review
Fantastic food, service and location. Best place we have eaten at in Poland so far this trip. If you’re American, you will not be disappointed. Billy’s is good, I’m sure you’ve seen them but this place is the true American experience in Poland. I eat a lot of meat and this pork chop was one of if not the best I’ve ever had.
Joseph M — Google review
Beautiful, well-thought place. Piranhas inside the aquarium were my fav detailing touch. Food itself was perfect, especially Tartar. Also our waitress Nikola was kind. :) I’ll definitely visit this place again.✌🏽

Błękitny Pudel

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Błękitny Pudel is a charming pub-cafe located on Bohaterow Monte Cassino street in Sopot, Poland. This cozy spot has been a local favorite for over 20 years and has also gained popularity among tourists visiting the city. The interior is adorned with an eclectic mix of decor, including wooden tennis rackets and richly upholstered divans, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere.
excellent place, not spacious but full of love and atmosphere. The staff was friendly, delicious food and live music. I liked it. Dumplings with filled meat, caramelized onion + 1 beer = 14 €
Radovan U — Google review
The food and service was just great. The weather in June was a perfect 22deg and in Sopot.. Perfect. Highly recommended are the tiger prawns starters... A Must have!! Fresh and juicy.
Allan T — Google review
Stopped in here with my family for dinner and overall had a very good experience. Each of us ordered something different, and the food did not disappoint - everything was fresh, flavorful, and nicely prepared. I started with the homemade chicken broth with noodles, which was full of flavor and even had a few pieces of chicken in it (a pleasant surprise since that doesn’t happen often in restaurants). For my main, I had the chicken breast schnitzel topped with a fried egg, served with potatoes and fried beetroots. It was a generous portion and very enjoyable. My family members went for the XL club sandwich and the beef burger-both were solid choices and prepared well. The only downside was the service. I waited over 20 minutes just for the soup, and almost an hour before our mains arrived. The staff were friendly and kind, but there were a couple of mix-ups with dishes being brought over from another table. All in all, while the service timing could use some improvement, the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff made this a positive dining experience. I’d definitely return again for the food.
Adam Z — Google review
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I waited over an hour for my food with no explanation or apology. To make matters worse, just as I was about to finish the meal, I discovered a long hair in the dish. It was absolutely revolting. Finding hair in food is already unacceptable — but realizing I had almost eaten all of it made it even more disturbing. This is a serious hygiene failure and completely unprofessional. I will never return and strongly warn others to avoid this place.
Ben L — Google review
Beautiful place to spend time at. Breakfast, lunch, just drinks - any option is possible. Tables outside will make others jealous of what you are having - good time, nice atmosphere and tasty food. My recommendation for sure is pasta. The chef 👨‍🍳 is a genius. I've seen some of his dishes while waiting for mine - it's totally amazing. During evening it's more easy and calm atmosphere. Yes, sometimes you need to wait for a table, but reservation is the best option - you'll definitely get the needed place. Good place to visit
Катя С — Google review
We dropped by this place without much planning and were welcomed right away by the friendly staff. The restaurant has a cozy, slightly old-school feel that makes it really comfortable to sit and enjoy a meal. The food was tasty and well prepared, with everything arriving quickly and nicely done. Overall, a relaxed spot with good food and a warm atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.
Lena B — Google review
We came here two days in a row. The first one was fine, the waitress was super friendly and cute. The second day was a totally disaster.. The serving waitress was distracted and other staff very disoriented, delivered us a different table food.. Also we had to ask several times for a takeout box.. After third request we finally got the box. The food was not the best also.. We left this place disappointed.
Austėja S — Google review
Beautiful place! It's very cozy inside and the menu is awesome. Especially cozy on a cold day, when you can order nice soups and marvellous fresh-made teas. The waiters were very friendly and quite fast, considering how full the restaurant was. We had a wonderful evening and we'd like to come back!

Pomelo Bistro

$$$$affordable
Polish restaurant
Pomelo Bistro Bar is a relaxed and plant-filled venue that offers breakfast classics and international eats, with the option of outdoor seating. It's known for its laid-back atmosphere, vegetarian options, homemade kimchi, and delicious lemonades. The bistro is open from morning till late night, making it a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It's particularly popular for brunch and reservations are recommended to avoid waiting outside.
Friendly and very fast service, which makes the visit feel easy and relaxed. Great selection for breakfast with something for every taste. The food is nicely presented and appealing, both visually and in taste. Coffee is excellent, and the freshly squeezed juices are a perfect start to the day. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Yo L — Google review
The head chef is truly excellent. Everything was absolutely wonderful. If you want to enjoy a unique and delicious dining experience, this is the place to go. The only downside was that our waitress was a bit inattentive to our order and liked to argue.
Аnna T — Google review
We had the beef cheek yesterday and it was absolutely outstanding – slow-cooked to perfection, tender, and full of rich flavor. The presentation was elegant, and the portion size was just right. The service matched the quality of the food – attentive without being intrusive. This place is definitely a gem
Nic C — Google review
Came for the breakfast and it didnt disappoint! Amazing salmon/egg benedict sandwich, alot of food and premium quality of the products. Got our food in about 10min but in some cases when its more busy you could wait 20-40min because they make everything from scratch. I was eyeballing some of the other customers food and they all looked amazing! Dont miss this if you need a good breakfast!
Roger W — Google review
Excellent service, exceptional food and a great atmosphere. So good we did 2 evening meals and 1 brunch during our stay. Delicious flavours, quality ingredients and a really nice vibe. Highly recommend.
Sean E — Google review
Nice place for a great breakfast. The food has a good quality, was fresh and tasty. I choose the Hering-Bread(sorry for the dark picture - but it was great!) and it was really delicious. We also had Eggs Benedict's and scrambled eggs with sausage, fresh Orange juice and Cappuccino. Recommendable!
RR — Google review
I'm always sceptical, when it comes to popular places and loved by tourist. But, dear readers, was I wrong. Place is astoundingly pretty, service is on point, but the main star, as it should be, is the food. Our sandwiches were on point with bread and other ingredients, all with distinct flavours and having their own part in the dish itself. Beware only two things; prices might be tad high (but well justified) and the place is crowded almost immediately after opening (worth going a little bit earlier, before opening). Besides that; enjoy!
Adam S — Google review
A really great experience for breakfast. Ordered the local cheese selection, the pickles and the tomato with bean tasting plates with some fresh bread. All options were extraordinarily good. Plus the coffee is also excellent.

Billy’s American Restaurant.

$$$$affordable
American restaurant
Billy's American Restaurant is a well-known and popular American eatery. It serves huge breakfasts, burgers and steaks at lunchtime, as well as diner-style meals during the evening. The restaurant has a typical American diner feel to it with table service and free wifi.
I tried this place as soon as I arrived in Gdansk. It totally worth match with it’s high rating. Great menu with so many options and thanks to Magda, I chose my Burger. She was really nice and first one in a long time who asked if I want my Cola with Ice. All the staff were really friendly and the vibe was great. Cozy place at night and definitely have to try it. The coleslaw had a good texture and sweetness. The burger was very juicy and the fries were fresh. It’s a place that I’ll definitely visit again.
Reza M — Google review
We had a very good time at Billy's in Gdansk. We enjoyed all the food we ordered (Trump Nachos, Ribs, Miami Burger, Billy's in Dubai). The service is perfect.
Razvan B — Google review
Great place to eat in Gdansk if you get tired of local food, the food is so good and portions are very generous, staff is very kind, atmosphere and location is the best I really liked the concept of this place, I will definitely come back here next time in Gdansk.
Rodrigo S — Google review
Perfect service - Anita was really nice, friendly and we fully enjoyed the brunch - pancakes were fabulous. Even though the restaurant doesn’t have mimosas on menu, Anita managed to do them for us. And also the view is a big plus.
Bára S — Google review
Greasy. Unhealthy. Calorific. Just what we were looking for! So tasty. Loved these burgers and options available. They provided gluten free burgers with a tasty coleslaw. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Fantastic view outside. Just what we were looking for.
Hannah J — Google review
Very nice atmosphere, our waitress Emilia was very friendly and attentive, I ordered the steak, perfectly cooked to my liking!
Joelle K — Google review
Really great food. Nice American vibes, obviously slightly cheesy but in a fun way. The nachos were honestly some of the best I’ve had. The burgers have the option of ordering medium and tasted very fresh. The ribs were totally fall apart and the cocktails were very fun. Portions very well sized so you won’t be leaving hungry! Thank you to Anita for great and friendly service.

Pierogarnia Mandu Gdańsk Oliwa

$$$$affordable
Dumpling restaurant
Restaurant
Pierogarnia Mandu Gdańsk Oliwa is a top contender for the best pierogi restaurant in Poland. The traditional dumplings are homemade and filled with delicious ingredients, while the sweet ones are recommended for sharing due to their richness. The menu offers a variety of options, including vegan pierogies that receive high praise. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is excellent, making it worth any potential wait for a table.
Absolutely delicious, we got 1 set of traditional, 1 set from the baked and 1 set from the dessert! They were quick and the service was lovely. I really recommend making sure to get some of the sweet ones, as they’re so underrated
Anna M — Google review
WHAT, FRESH hand-made dumplings...YES PLEASE! I wanted to find the dish that represented Poland and was told Pierogi was that dish! You can watch your dumplings being made by skilled workers next to the kitchen! If going during peek time, be prepared to wait 25+ min due to being made by hand! A variety of dumplings to choose from and don't skip the slaw, soup or the fresh lemonade!
Patrick M — Google review
Lovely restaurant with great selection of pierogy. Big portions, I almost couldn't finish my lunch. Also sweet options. The service is nice. Absolutely recommend this place.
N. K — Google review
Amazing Pierogi here. There are so many variations, even vegan or sweet ones. One portion is a lot so it’s best to share if you want to try many kinds.
Lena P — Google review
Great selection of pierogi, all fresh and super tasty! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, also in English. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Polish cuisine.
Leila L — Google review
Was here with work immediately after getting to Poland. It was some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The vibe of the place is immaculate. Would really recommend the pierogi with wild boar and mushroom sauce
Gabriel C — Google review
Pierogi restaurant, a similar one in Gdynia. Good pierogis and you can see how they make them. Beautiful interior design. Easy to come by bus or tram.
Johan B — Google review
Best meal during our stay in Gdansk! Our favorite was the deep fried with soy sauce. So amazing that they have gluten free option on the menu. We were to full to try the sweet pierogi but I bet they are great! Nice friendly staff who’s good at selling ;) it was a little bit loud full of families with children but it felt very local and definitely a sign that it’s a popular place. We had to wait in line a few minutes before getting a table but totally worth it and fast service!

Wine Bar "Literacka"

$$$$expensive
Restaurant
Wine bar
Wine Bar "Literacka" is a cozy wine bar and restaurant nestled on Mariacka Street, surrounded by art galleries and amber shops. It's renowned for its carefully curated selection of Polish and international wines, as well as its Mediterranean specialties and top-notch service. The romantic terrace offers a perfect spot to bask in the sun while savoring your wine.
This restaurant had a very good atmosphere when we visited: intimate and stylish, we were seated right at the big window. The food was excellent, tasty and plenty. The service was attentive, with good wine pairings suggested for our dishes. We chose it based on a recommendation and recommend it now to you!
Vera T — Google review
I’ve traveled a lot and tried food in many countries, but I must admit — even though I didn’t order much at this restaurant, the experience was unforgettable. With the tartare, they served their own homemade bread with olive oil and fresh spring onion — truly one of the most delicious things I’ve tasted in a long time. I usually avoid eating too much bread, but here I couldn’t resist: I ordered a second portion and even took more bread and oil back to my hotel. Highly recommended! This is one of those experiences that will make me want to return to Gdańsk again.
Denys G — Google review
Had a magical time just sharing a bottle of wine late afternoon whilst the snow started to come down in Gdansk. Super, super cosy and really friendly and welcoming staff. Even though we didn’t go in for food they treated us to some delicious home made chive oil and bread, perfect snack with a lovely bottle of ripasso.
Rick H — Google review
Fantastic hidden gem on tiny street. Delicious food, great selection of wine all A+ not a cheapest place but you get what you pay for. Strongly recomendable
Robert P — Google review
If you’re deciding where to eat in Gdańsk and weighing your options, let me save you the trouble: Literacka is the place to go. I’ve had meals all across Poland, and this was truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. The wild boar pierogi and rabbit dinner are standouts I can’t recommend enough. Tucked on the quieter side of town yet still right in the heart of it all, Literacka combines exceptional cuisine with top-tier service and a warm, welcoming staff. A must-visit.
Suzanne W — Google review
Cozy atmosphere, delicious duck breast and as usual seductive Aperol spritz is the best combo
Gaye G — Google review
Very typical Polish food . Excellent service and good atmosphere 👌🏻👌🏻
Inés G — Google review
We celebrated birthday in a bigger group there yesterday. Food was simply amazing, we tried many things on the menu from wild-boar stake to risotto, pierogi and sea food soup but I cannot even tell which one was the best, they all were fabulous. I need to mention the service, the waiter knew his wines, his recommendations were very good and I am happy he kept negotiating pairing my main with the main course, it worked so well. He was also very attentive, we had a few people from Switzerland, they had many questions and he answered them all patiently. Also, probably the only restaurant in Gdansk which seems to read booking notes, as they remembered about a small birthday gesture we asked for. I would go back although I must say the lower level room has relatively bright light and it did not feel maybe extremely cosy, the whole atmosphere was so nice, food and service was so good we actually stopped paying attention to it. Thank you again for having us.

Restauracja Kutter

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Restauracja Kutter is a charming, old-school restaurant with exposed brick walls and wooden ceilings. Since its establishment in 1988, it has been a favorite among locals for its freshly caught fish dishes. Over the years, it has transformed from a small fryer to a three-story restaurant due to its satisfied customers. The menu still boasts excellent fish options alongside other delicious meals and perfect drinks.
Very nice restaurant, traditional and with a simple but tasty cuisine. The prices are not exaggerated, the quality is high. The dishes are abundant and very well cared for. The only negative side is the queue that you have to do to enter and sit at the table, a clear sign however that the restaurant is very popular. For this reason I recommend booking the table in advance. The waiting times for the food are a bit long because of the many customers, but all in all acceptable. The service is kind and very nice. I recommend this restaurant and I will definitely return.
Paolo Z — Google review
great portions and amazingly fresh fish! wasn’t too busy when we went surprisingly but everything came out at a reasonable time and perfectly. the waitresses were very nice and attentive.

I really hope you have the blessings to visit and have dinner at this super sweet restaurant. So much charm and warmth here that we stayed until closing just chatting with the locals while experiencing the most delectable tastes. The pierogi here (I ordered without the bacon) are phenomenal! You will be so happy that you visited Kutter and will make every excuse to return again.

The food and drinks were delicious, amazing taste and flavourful. The staff was very kind and helpful with everything. The restaurant is very big, clean and beautifully decorated. We got our food very fast. I definitely recommend!
Ela — Google review
The restaurant is in the city centre, the food was delicious and the service was absolutely fantastic more than that the music choice was spectacular. If I’m to come back to Hel Poland I see myself visiting this place more than once as we did 🔥🔥
IVAN I — Google review
Very good and beautifully presented food, especially the duck and herring tartar. Delicious cabbage, beetrooot and carrot salads. Normal tartar was below average, especially for Polish standards. House wine was undrinkable. The service was unprofessional and lacked basic routines for serving. Expensive. Too busy for its own good.
Nikolai F — Google review

Winne Grono

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
If you're craving some refined French cuisine and want to enjoy it in a luxuriously decorated restaurant, Winne Grono is the place for you! The menu features local dishes from all over Europe, and the wine list has something for everyone. There's also a full bar available if you need more refreshment. Parking is free, and there's even wheelchair accessibility available.
Amazing cozy restaurant with really lovely family service. The owner told a lot of interesting stories about food and local liquors. It was my birthday and I got a some treats from the restaurant. Great atmosphere of simple place in green old districts. But the greatest plus- food! Not so big menu, but every dish is thought out to the smallest detail, very exquisite tastes . The cuisine in this place is a level higher than most of places in Gdańsk. Absolutely recommend
Helga C — Google review
My friends and I had an unforgettable meal at Winne Grono. Arkadiusz is not only extremely knowledgeable and well-trained in the culinary arts, but he is clearly very passionate about what he does. His love of Gdańsk culture and cuisine, and his genius in combining it with French cooking techniques, makes this restaurant a truly unique experience. Everything was delicious and filling, and we loved discussing everything from food to spirits - even history and the Polish language - with Arkadiusz. You don't want to miss this restaurant!
Kelsey B — Google review
A must-visit place in Gdansk if you want to taste some great food. Brilliant, just brilliant. Both starters and main courses were so delicious! Special thanks for the duck that was probably the best one I've ever tried. Home-made infusions make a great addition to the dishes. We were at the place at 7 pm on Friday, and we were able to pick the table, but withing an hour it got crowded, so better get there earlier or book a table. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our evening, and it's the place we would definitely return to. Thanks!
Wadim M — Google review
Very welcoming, lovely feel and decor, fantastic drinks (self made selection of delicious spirits), great wine, and food was just divine! Best restaurant we have ever been to, good prices as well. Thank you Winne Grono

Inconspicuous place but astonishing surprise. Very good quality for great price. Meals was very tasty and prepared with caution. Colorful composition and decent portions. Great sangria. Friendly and professional service. Serviettes with food quotes is great idea. As I promised I recommending Italian fuzzy Red wine "Fragolino". Thank You for bottle of "Perigord". We will come back in the season to try famous desert from Rokitnik. Thank You. Polish couple.

The interior and exterior were simple, but the food was absolutely amazing. Friendly staff. Had a three course menu with my girlfriend and we both agree that this restaurant visit was the best experience while visiting Gdansk for five days.

This place is a little bit out of the tourist area/city center, and I was even surprised that I hadn't discovered it before. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant experience. 🛎 Service/waitress - was very friendly. ⚜️Interior design - simple but neat and classy. 🍽 Food - was delicious, and I was nicely surprised about the composition. Overall, I recommend this place. 😊

Excellent food! Great desserts! What a service! We visited Winne Grono with my fiancé. We had fish and a steak. The tastes were amazing, balanced, ideally composed. Definitely this is a “must visit”place while in Gdansk. Make sure, that while being here you ask Arek and Beata about the local spirits and wines. Great people with a huge knowledge about their craft! :)

Gdański Bowke

$$$$affordable
Polish restaurant
Gdański Bowke is a traditional restaurant located in the heart of Gdansk, offering regional specialties, dumplings, and craft beers in a relaxed setting. The restaurant draws inspiration from an old Polish character from folklore and features a nautical theme reminiscent of the 19th century port atmosphere with dark wooden furniture and modern brick walls. The menu focuses on strong Polish flavors with an emphasis on local meats, succulent game, and freshly caught Baltic fish grilled to perfection.
Popular place, recommend to reserve a table if you plan to go at peak hours. I ordered fish soup and rib. The soup was absolutely tasty and the rib is of big portion (and it’s not those American style ribs, rather a localized version which I appreciate). Nice vibe as well. Service fee is included in the bill. Considering the location and food quality/portion, I would say it’s good value for money.
Huixin Z — Google review
Very nice local restaurant right by the riverside. It's a busy area, with the restaurant occupying part of the riverside, offering cosy seating away from the bustle. There was a live musician entertaining patrons with gentle music when I was dining here. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Regional dishes are served swiftly and with a good variety of options. The food was a little on the bland side, but did taste quite nice despite this.
Bianca W — Google review
The service was great, they checked on us regularly and tended to our needs promptly. We shared potato pancakes which everyone agreed were good. I had the ribs that were amazing, the dumplings were really good. I didn’t care as much for the sweet sauerkraut, but it definitely wasn’t bad, I plan to go back again. I would recommend to others.
Steve S — Google review
We had an amazing dinner at Bowke. The service was on point and the food was delicious. The seafood was especially good. There’s a great selection of dishes, and they all look really appetising. Portions are on the bigger side, so come hungry! There was live music, and we happened to sit quite close to it, which made chatting a bit harder, but we still really enjoyed the atmosphere. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Gdańsk.
Franck — Google review
Best restaurant I’ve had in a long time!!! The decoration is amazing, the service is exceptional and the food, can’t even describe it !! There was live music, which gave such a cozy environment, the sir played very well, the songs were nicely chosen as well. We also tasted 4 of the signature cocktails and they are totally worth it !!! Personal favorite: the old Cuban mango and chili, but the sea sour (recommended by Robert) was delicious, and the presentation stunning!! Thank you so much Robert for you service, you were so nice, I wish every restaurant had you! We had a blast and we eat so so well, thank you the team!! ✨🤩

Came here just for a drink and found out they had Bigos so had to try it. Service excellent very attentive but not over powering. Local beer very good 😊 and good value for money. Will defiantly come back and try other dishes as the food looked great. This is the first time I have tried Bigos so was not sure what to expect, it is very filling with the bread. 🥖 but very tasty also.

Lovely place. Came here on an evening and the vibes are very cosy. Live music too. We had the potato pancakes and herring for starter, both great. For mains, pork knuckle and wild boar bacon - again both really tasty. Lovely staff! The place is quite expensive.

The food was very good, and a lot of it. Beer was great, service even better. If you eat outside you get a lovely view over the canal and the passing ships.

Pierogarnia Mandu Gdańsk Śródmieście

$$$$affordable
Dumpling restaurant
Pierogarnia Mandu Gdańsk Śródmieście is a renowned restaurant that offers a diverse selection of dumplings from around the world. The menu features traditional boiled, baked, and deep-fried dumplings, as well as sweet chocolate-filled options for dessert. Visitors can savor Polish classics like cottage cheese and potato-filled dumplings with white onion and bacon jam, or opt for Siberian pelmeni stuffed with minced beef and pork meat served with sour cream.
Visited Mandu Pierogarnia in Gdańsk and tried their traditional pierogi — flavorful and well-prepared. Also ordered Korean friend chicken dumplings , it was also good. It came with kimchi ( only problem was it was bit sweet) . The ambience was pleasant and welcoming. The staff were friendly and sweet. It’s clearly a popular spot since I had to wait a bit for a table, but the experience was definitely worth it. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy authentic dumplings in Gdańsk. First of all, you really need to like Polish dumplings to enjoy this place. I found out they are not really my thing or my taste, which is why I can only give four out of five stars — but that’s purely personal. We visited Mandu in Gdańsk and really enjoyed the experience overall. A reservation is definitely recommended, but you can also just wait in line – which moves quite fast. The nice detail: they take your name on the waiting list, and you are called in once a table is free. While waiting in the line you can already order a drink, which makes the time pass easily. Once inside, the service was very friendly and fast. The big highlight is of course the wide selection of different dumplings – with something for everyone who enjoys them. All in all, a great place to try Polish dumplings in a nice atmosphere.

The customer service was excellent and very friendly! I ordered the baked pierogi (spicy chicken) to try the Polish dumplings, along with the creamy sour soup and a glass of green tea. The portion of pierogi was really large, with five baked dumplings, it was very filling, even for someone like me who usually eats a lot. It would be great if there was an option to choose a smaller portion of 3 or 5 baked dumplings, as it can be hard to finish the whole portion alone. The soup was really good and made a great starter. I wanted to order more to try different dumplings at the beginning, but the server kindly told me that the portion is already big enough and she was right. I was dining alone, but I felt very comfortable. The server also checked in on me during my meal, so I never felt ignored. Additionally, when I entered the restaurant, I was almost immediately greeted by the staff. The location is a bit of a walk, but there are quite a few museums nearby. It was also a big plus that they have English menu. Overall, I highly recommend giving it a try! 😊

Definitely lived up to the hype. The Polish dumplings were excellent, and I liked that they offered creative options inspired by other cuisines too. The soup was flavorful, service was very friendly, and there wasn’t much of a wait to get seated.

Considering the high rating and long line ups, I may be the odd one out that thought the food was just average. The dinning room also felt lackluster in terms of decors. The menu's most interesting fillings are those inspired by non-polish cuisines, so as a visitor who wants to eat mainly polish ones, I thought the menu was limited.

Pierogy heaven! We had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table, but we ordered drinks meanwhile. The food is just amazing here!!! All those pierogys and pelmenikis and other dumplings! So hard to decide what you wanna eat. The portions are huge! The taste is 100/100!!! Absolutely love this restaurant!!!

This was my first time trying Polish dumplings. I tried the no.6 of the baked dumplings, which is spicy chicken and cheese. The dumplings were on a fluffy yeast dough - this made the portion of 5 dumplings very fulfilling, as the size of the dumplings wasn’t same as the normal boiled dumplings. The flavour of the dumplings was quite nice as I love spicy food and cheese in general. The ranch sauce suits the dumplings very well.

The tour guide recommended this place for the famous Polish dumplings. It was nice, but I’ve had better dumplings, and I didn’t really enjoy the ones from Mandu. They weren’t bad, but not as good as I was expecting. I forgot to take pictures at the beginning, so these are half eaten pics. Sorry 😂

Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport

International airport
Airport
Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, named after the former Polish president, is conveniently located for travel to Sopot and Gdynia. The city of Gdansk itself offers a rich history with stunning old architecture, vibrant nightlife, delicious cuisine, and great shopping opportunities. Visitors can explore the Old Town at night and enjoy various entertainment options throughout the year. The airport boasts modern facilities and efficient services, making check-in and security procedures hassle-free.
Small and efficient airport. Declares itself as a "silent airport" Without unnecessary announcements from speakers (they only announce when a flight is boarding). It's relatively small, so you can go through security to the gate in about 30 minutes (or less if you're quick and lucky). Toilets are clean. Quite many options of restaurants. There's a McDonald's too. And cotton candy machinenear gate 13.

The best airport I have been to. It was not so busy the day we got there. Very clean, modern and silent as they don’t announce flights loudly. I am very impressed and considering always going there and flying from there even tho it’s more far to get for me. Staff in the bar we went to was really nice and helpful, also speaking very good English. Toilets were clean which is very important. Veeery impressed, well done Gdańsk! Keep up the good work!

Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport Poland is one of the best airports in Poland and Europe. It's not huge but it's very compact and modern design and very convenient. The layout and of shops, WC's, and gates are absolutely in right order. There are plenty of clean fresh drinkable water supply where you can top-up your water bottle completely free, unlike Turkey's airports which are 500ml water bottle they rip you off by charging you 4$. Thank you for management and thank you nice Polish People🙏💐❤️.

Very efficient and modern airport. Security check during morning rush hour (our flight was at 6:00 AM) took only about 10–15 minutes. Gates are easy to reach, duty free is decent – nothing special, but fine. Overall, the airport is clean and well-organized. Toilets could be cleaner, but all in all, everything works well.

Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport AKA GDN is a small but efficient airport that’s easy to navigate, making it an stress-free experience for both domestic and international travelers. Security and check-in lines tend to move quickly, especially compared to larger European hubs, which is a big plus. The airport is well-connected to the city center via SKM trains, buses, and taxis, with travel time into Gdańsk usually around 30–40 minutes. Facilities inside are clean, modern, and well-maintained, with free Wi-Fi and a decent selection of cafes, shops, and a few duty-free options. Post box available before security check in, so be sure to send any postcards before you get past that point. There’s also an information desk that can guide you around. While food and drink choices aren’t extensive, they’re generally good quality and reasonably priced for an airport. If you arrive early or have a layover, there are some quiet seating areas upstairs that are great for relaxing or getting some work done. There’s also a small observation deck if you’re traveling with kids or enjoy plane spotting. For those with extra time or needing a bit more comfort, the airport lounge is modest but offers a quiet space with snacks and drinks. One thing to be aware of is that passport control and baggage claim can be slow during peak hours, particularly for non-Schengen flights, so plan accordingly if you’re on a tight schedule. Also, while public transportation is available, late-night arrivals might require a taxi or ride-share, as buses and trains don’t run frequently overnight. Overall, Gdańsk Airport is a reliable and pleasant starting or ending point for trips to northern Poland and the Baltic coast.

Pretty nice airport. Waiting times are almost not existing. Clean and tidy. Passenger terminal is decent size with restaurants and shops

Neptune Taxi at the airport is absolutely terrible! Never use their service! They're incredibly expensive, they never turn on the meter, pretending it's broken, and you always pay a ridiculously high price! They're incredibly pushy and harassing, trying to get you into their taxis! It's better to walk 20 meters away and take the taxis in the next lane! You can get away cheaply and comfortably!
