Lunar

Restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque World of Wedgwood in Barlaston, near Stoke-on-Trent, Lunar is a culinary gem that pays tribute to the historic Lunar Society. With an Asian-inspired menu crafted by a Michelin-starred chef, diners can indulge in delightful small plates like scallops with citrus and preserved ginger or tempura pumpkin with tamarind and chili. The restaurant also features sharing dishes such as clay-baked chicken served with treasure rice, perfect for those looking to savor flavors together.
Went to Luna yesterday for my birthday meal & it was really exceptional. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable. The manager Craig was so lovely & sociable, he gets involved greeting and serving customers, you wouldn’t even think he is the manager. The atmosphere was also an icing on the cake, would defiantly recommend and would go again. Best restaurant we have definitely been to that’s near stone. Usually we go to Manchester for the nice restaurants, but we were over the moon to have discovered this little gem for sure

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Stellar Experience at Lunar We had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Lunar, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we stepped in, the ambience set the tone—elegant, calm, and thoughtfully designed to reflect both modern sophistication and a warm, welcoming vibe. The food was nothing short of outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing a real commitment to quality and creativity. You can tell there’s genuine passion behind the menu, and the use of locally sourced ingredients really shines through. A special mention goes to our server, Sam, who took excellent care of us from start to finish. Friendly, knowledgeable, and perfectly attentive—Sam made our visit even more enjoyable. Lunar strikes that perfect balance between fine dining and relaxed charm. We’re already looking forward to coming back—this place is a gem in every sense.
Alex G — Google review
I recently celebrated my 60th birthday, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue. Lunar closed exclusively for my party, which made the whole day feel incredibly special and personal. It was such a treat to have the entire place just for my guests and me – a true VIP experience! From the moment we walked in, everything was beautifully arranged. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure the night went smoothly. They took care of every detail with professionalism and a smile, allowing me to relax and really enjoy the celebration. The ambiance was just right – festive yet intimate – and the venue itself was the perfect size and setting for my family and friends to gather, laugh, and make memories. I felt so celebrated and appreciated, and many of my guests commented on how lovely the atmosphere was. The buffet was nothing short of outstanding—beautifully presented and offering an impressive variety of dishes to suit every taste. From fresh, vibrant salads to perfectly seasoned mains and decadent desserts, every bite was delicious. Guests are still telling me how much they enjoyed the food, and many went back for seconds (and thirds!). Turning 60 is a big milestone, and thanks to this incredible venue and team, it was everything I hoped for and more. If you’re looking for a place to host a truly personal and memorable event, Lunar is it. Thank you again for helping make my 60th so unforgettable!
Mark M — Google review
We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were absolutely top-class, warm, and attentive. We were even treated to an introductory talk about the impressive history of Lunar, which made the visit even more special. The place itself is stunning — the décor beautifully compliments its story and adds to the atmosphere. The food was simply beautiful — full of flavour and presented to perfection, truly 5-star quality. We will definitely be back!
Ewa S — Google review
We were visiting V&A Wedgwood Collection and stopped at Lunar, expecting only a light lunch. It came in a generous portion, look at my Haddock and chicken liver parfait! The environment is nice and relaxing, it's complementary to the museum.
Christine T — Google review
A gem in a lovely setting. Very nice traditional British pub / bistro food, done in-house from fresh ingredients, at affordable prices, in an arty venue, served on fine Wedgwood tableware. Our server Yasir shall be commended for his friendliness and attention to detail, too! Would highly recommend.
Olivier — Google review
What a star restaurant. From secret door bars to excellent service and food, Lunar has an unusual stylish feel with artwork and Wedgwood on the walls, plus a huge moon hanging from the ceiling. The fillet steak was one of the best, as was the lamb main that my wife chose. Certainly one to check out.
Monty M — Google review
Visited for breakfast. There’s a great selection on the menu but decided on the half moon breakfast and a cappuccino. The food was delicious, the waiter (good looking Turkish guy - his words!!) was lovely and attentive. Would definitely recommend coming to Lunar for breakfast.

The Talbot Inn is a friendly and welcoming pub that offers cheap drinks and pool table entertainment late at night. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, perfect for catching up with friends.
Had a Butcher's Block breakfast this morning which was top top quality. Everything was spot on, especially the slices of thick, flavoursome back bacon. There are other options if you don't fancy a big fry up, including veggie options. Absolutely brilliant place. Beautiful decor. Friendly, thoughtful service. Lovely atmosphere with good music that's not too loud. Highly recommended. Lunch and dinner menus look great too.

Very pleased with our visit today for their Sunday carvery, and amazed at how good the value for money was. The food was a lot, I don’t think anywhere else they give you as much meat, which also tasted amazing, plus all the bold flavours on the trimmings and they were certainly not as boring as the normal pub standards. Enjoyed every minute of eating our dinner, and very glad we gave it a try. Staff also friendly, and polite, and the venue was well looked after and clean. Will definitely make this our go to for future Sundays.
EA A — Google review
Having been recommended this place, we travelled an hour to give it a try. Steaks were perfect, and the waitress faultless. Well worth the journey. Had a slight problem finding it, however its very close to the station and out of the way. May look to come by train in the future. A special mention to the barman who made me a personalized Old Fashioned, perfect to accompany the steak.
Paul — Google review
Perfect sirloin steak: moist tender and flavoursome. Produced professionally and efficiently without any pretentions. The deserts were pleasant, and the house wine we had was lovely and smooth. Super friendly and quick service too. Excellent value for money. The quality matches or exceeds many of the so called premiere steak restaurants in either Birmingham or Manchester. We will be back soon.
Sub S — Google review
The Butcher Block exceeded all my expectations! The food was simply outstanding – the meat was of the highest quality, perfectly cooked, and an absolute pleasure to enjoy. The crème brûlée was divine, and the coffee with oat milk was excellent. I also loved the fruit tea served in a pot – it warmed me up perfectly for a productive day. The service was fast and genuinely friendly, creating such a welcoming atmosphere. The cozy fireplace and reliable high-speed internet made it an ideal place not only to relax but also to get some work done. I had a truly delightful and fruitful day here – both in terms of productivity and taste. Highly recommended! 🔥🍽️☕️

One of the best carveries I’ve ever had! The staff were super accommodating with my vegetarian needs, offering a fantastic selection of roasted veggies, cauliflower cheese, and a rich veggie gravy. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere cozy. My meat-loving family said theirs was faultless! Highly recommend—I'll definitely return!

First visit and wasn’t too sure what to expect but felt welcome as soon as we walked through the door. The interior is unrecognisable from its previous incarnation as a pub - and I believe the log burner that is soon to be added will further increase the warm atmosphere. As for the food - it was stunning! My husband even remarked it was the best he’d ever tasted - and he’s a fussy so and so! I hope the fact that it’s only a few minutes walk from both the station and the town centre will see more people visit as this place truly deserves a place on the good food map. Worth every penny!
Jane K — Google review
Visited her Friday evening, booked in for 6.15pm via the website, and got an instant confirmation email. Knew it was a new place as we dine in stone regularly. Tastefully decorated, pleasant staff good vibe and decent enough beer selection. Service was good without being intrusive. Good communication in regards to services available and special offers. The menu isn't too big but the food is great. Complimentary halloumi fries with spicey salsa are great and very moreish. We had starters, I had the sliders, and my wife had the prawn pil pil. Both are very nice but quite filling. I went for the pork tomahawk with Mash. My wife had the brisket burger with fries. She said this was possibly the tastiest burger she's ever had. The pork steak I had was juicy, and the man was creamy. It also had a creamy sauce with it, which was lovely. We both said we would go for a steak next time as they looked amazing and would possibly not have a starter, but try a pudding if we could find the room. The seating is quite close, so it's not as intimate as some might like, but if you are sociable, then this is nice as we had a good conversation with the table next to us. Prices are slightly on the high side of average, but the quality is worth it. We will definitely be returning, and we would like to say we'll be done to the people who have introduced this restaurant to stone. Great job. Sorry we didn't take photos of our main course. We just wanted to tuck in.

Nepalese restaurant
Ayo Gorkhali is a charming family-run Nepalese restaurant that brings the rich flavors of the Himalayas to Stafford. Despite its unassuming exterior, this eatery offers an outstanding dining experience with a cozy atmosphere and attentive service. Guests rave about the delicious vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available on the menu.
Ate here as a family for the first time early yesterday evening and was really pleasantly surprised! It’s a small intimate setting and the staff were absolutely lovely, telling us some culture pieces and stories about Nepalese people and their dining etc. The food was stunning and they were more than happy to cater for and understand vegan food also. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone local or visiting. It’s a dining experience. Don’t expect a cheap meal … but you really do get what you pay for. Look forward to visiting again soon!

Gorgeous little restaurant, a real gem! The food was so delicious, really unusual with depth of flavour and quality ingredients. I had the pork momo and a chicken curry with mushroom rice. Gurkha beer was great too! Lovely staff and service.

Excellent food and the staff are friendly and helpful. Their lamb dishes are particularly impressive. The herbs and spices are used with nice balance to bring out the fresh taste of food. Definitely worth a visit!

Absolute hidden gem , highly recommend this no.1 on trip advisor for eatery in Stafford. We have been many times and will no doubt visit many more. Many thanks for a great night of dining and delicious food.

Never tried Nepalese food before but I'll definitely be returning! Everything we ordered was so flavoursome. The lamb was melt in the mouth.
S D — Google review
Absolutely delicious! The first thing you notice is how welcoming the staff is! I went on my own but did not feel lonely or weird at all because the staff was so lovely. And that’s not all because the food itself was amazing, super filling and with the right amount of spice (I went with medium). Oh and I can’t forget to recommend the Napali Roti!!!
Karolina B — Google review
Lovely flavoursome food with great service. Very quaint place with friendly helpful staff. Definitely returning to try it more spicy, as they are happy to do it just as you like, but wasn’t sure on our first visit. Next time

Aston Marina is a versatile venue that caters to various occasions. The spacious and cozy rooms make it perfect for family gatherings or celebrations, with attentive staff ensuring a seamless experience. The ample parking and kid-friendly environment add to its appeal. For couples seeking a romantic wedding setting, the exclusive use of The Boat House and its picturesque gardens offers an enchanting waterside charm, ideal for capturing unforgettable moments.
The food was excellent. The staff were very attentive, we were given a jug of water when we sat down at the table and when we had finished the jug a fresh one was brought to the table. Staff were very helpful in giving recommendations and checking our queries with the chef, mainly in regards to the gluten free food options. It was my birthday and we were brought a lovely surprise birthday plate over (chocolate writing, brownie and meringue), it was a very nice surprise and made the night feel special I would highly recommend Aston Marina and will definitely be returning

Spent a really lovely evening here. Enjoyed an early evening Sunday roast. They managed to offer us a table as walk-ins. Service from start to finish was excellent. Atmosphere lovely. Food delicious. Looking forward to returning again in the summer to enjoy the canal views.

We moored at the Marina for a few days, and we had a great 60th birthday lunch in the restaurant! Very good food, the staff are super and the setting is beautiful & very well landscaped. Highly recommended!
B. H — Google review
Nice restaurant, slightly off the beaten track. Sunday evening visit, and selected Sunday dinner. Plenty of beef, but limited vegetables given. I assume that was because they were running low, which was a little disappointing, but the staff did give free extra vegetables when we asked. Nice place, worth a visit.
Neil S — Google review
Went for Sunday lunch . Very well presented place . Staff friendly and accommodating. Variety of choices for Sunday lunch . Had a few problems cutting the food , roast potatoes, beef with blunt knife . They did accommodate and got me a steak knife which did help but still couldn’t get into the roast potatoes. The food did taste delicious. The extra sides cauliflower and mashed potato were yummy . It’s cost us £65 with two drinks . Non alcoholic. I would go back for a special occasion but maybe not the Sunday lunch . The location is lovely with seating outside and in Pods . It gets quite busy too .

Living in Stone this place on doorstep for a drink a cuppa or maybe food. Visited just the other day for coffee and a chat. Bar area was full of primarily ladies having a catch up which was great to see. All had got drinks. Ordered 2 coffees Americana and cappuccino. Waited 12 minutes ish. Drinks came Americana was a lovely cup of coffee but cappuccino wasn’t a cappuccino see pics below Bar staff barista needs training clearly. Up the anti please as there’s certainly by far better coffee in the town cheaper I think too and atmosphere buzzing. Good luck 🤞🏻

You won’t find a dining experience as lovely and exclusive as this dome experience. The beautiful scenery complemented our appetising and artfully presented dishes. Also, thanks to the courteous staff who served us that day!

With its cozy atmosphere and rustic decor, this independent eatery offers an inviting space adorned with green walls and upcycled furniture, creating a homely vibe enhanced by the presence of cookery books. Lovely lunch with very gentle, friendly and relaxed but efficient service. Full of flavour, fabulous quality ingredients, and extremely pretty presentation.

We went for lunch and the tasting menu was beautifully presented and delicious - especially the Mackerel starter. It was quieter than I expected for a Saturday lunch time but probably the time of year. I hope this gem gets the custom it deserves!. We will definitely visit again.
Amanda C — Google review
I had great expectations for this place but was massively disappointed. The food was the most beautiful artwork I’ve seen other than skinner in Marbella. The service was amazing. It was that good that they added a service charge of nearly £40. If you claim to be a great restaurant and have great service then let the customer determine the tip. I knew it wasn’t going to be a cheap night out but I was so disappointed. The atmosphere was sterile and so forced. The time between courses was infinite and to be honest we were bored. Never again
Daniel W — Google review
Absolutely fantastic tasting menu at Little Seeds. The food was delicious and beautifully presented (so good that we forgot to take more photos!). The timing was spot on, allowing us to really enjoy each course without ever feeling like we were rushed or waiting. We will be talking about that Isle of Wight Tomato for a long time! Thank you for a lovely evening - we will definitely be back.
Rosie M — Google review
Fantastic birthday meal recently. The staff were extremely attentive and polite. And their tasting menu is worth a try. Would definately advise people to have a meal there.
Alex C — Google review
This feels like a restaurant that really tries to be a “Michelin” restaurant too hard. The plating is nice and the food looks pretty, but it tastes awful. The walnut and thyme brioche in particular is incredibly bitter, while the other courses are all far too rich and busy (presumably making up for the small portions). Feels like there’s too much going on in each course and the chef is doing what he thinks fancy food should be, without remembering to just make something tasty. We went on a Wednesday evening and there were maybe two other couples there the entire night, so not much atmosphere either. Never again.
Rahul S — Google review
Had a lovely evening at Little Seeds with my daughter. We’re both foodies and the food was divine. Every mouthful was a moment to savour. The staff were lovely and very professional they are a credit to whoever trained them and an asset to the business. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.
Pete W — Google review
We visited Little Seeds last night to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary, and once again, it was an incredible experience. We’ve been several times now, and Sophie and the front-of-house team never fail to impress – their warm welcome immediately sets the tone for the evening. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, making it the perfect place to actually enjoy a conversation without having to raise your voice. The wine selection was excellent, and as always, the food was absolutely outstanding – every dish was spot on. Little Seeds has become our go-to spot for special occasions, and even though it’s an hour’s drive for us, it’s always worth the trip. A perfect way to celebrate our anniversary!

Went there for a beer 🍺 👌 😎 great pub, great friendly staff and great entertainment! Was only gonna stick around for the one but they had the fella on who goes by the name of 10 Guitars singing loads of hits from 60's 70's and even some 00's! Ended up forfeiting the curry to stay there and drink more beer and listen to the singer 👨‍🎤 🎤 🎶 🎼 👌 Will look out for him there agian!

Wouldn't recommend this place! Chicken was so hard not even my knife would cut through it! Tables were sticky and when we asked for it to be wiped lady behind the bar moaned about doing it. The kids fish was pink inside, waited over half an hour for food to be replaced with lots of other food being brought out in the end told them to forget it and got a refund, not very sorry a out the service they gave at all! Shocking!!! Food all on the floor was walked past 6 times and still not got up!

If you're on the hunt for an authentic Indian dining experience, look no further than Thalii. This charming restaurant specializes in thali, a delightful assortment of small dishes served together on a generous plate alongside rice and chapati. Diners rave about the high-quality food that boasts perfectly balanced spices, making it a haven for spice lovers. With options spanning Indian, Asian, and Pakistani cuisines, there's something to satisfy every palate—including vegetarian and vegan selections.
Thought we would try the Thali concept, went to the restaurant at 6pm on a Saturday. I had already booked a table and was glad because it is a small place and it quickly filled up with customers. I ordered a small thaali, thought it was very tasty. I had lamb, spinach paneer for main and I actually think the veg dish was nicer than the meat dish- not saying i did not like the meat dish. The service is brilliant, I was told by the waiter that they actually employ women chefs, which explains why the food was so tasty as it should be. If we are in Stoke again will definately be back.

We came here for the second time. The food was superb, and the waiter was friendly. The place isn't licensed, so bring your own beer or wine, which cuts down on the bill. Our meal for two came to just £20. Try the fish pakora, it's outstanding.

Located in Stoke-on-Trent, the QUARTER at Potbank offers a trendy Mexican restaurant with a spacious outdoor area and a warehouse vibe. The Potbank Aparthotel provides 21 guestrooms with kitchenettes and complimentary wireless internet access. The hotel is centrally located, offering easy access to attractions like Trentham Gardens, Stoke Minster, and the Peak District National Park.
We held a baby shower at the Potbank this weekend, and booked out a room at the venue for 4 hours. It was perfect! The room itself is technically already decorated so you don’t have to worry about whether or not it will look good, we just added a few extra touches but you definitely don’t need to. Around 2 hours in we had afternoon tea for around 16 people, the service was super quick and the staff were so helpful. If I had to recommend anywhere to go, it would be here!

Visit for a birthday meal, service was excellent throughout, the araa we were in was quite sparsely decorated (no soft furnishings) so noise from ordinary conversations became very loud and made chatting quite difficult. Food in the main was excellent decent sized portions and well cooked but did find the ham in my mixed grill to be really much too heavily salted

Booked the factory floor for our wedding celebration party. What can I say Annmarie was absolutely amazing from helping to plan the party and meeting with us to sort out exactly what we were looking for. The event was amazing from start to finish. Excellent customer service. Lovely ambience, nice non intrusive music. Went for lunch here. Visited on Saturday for the first time in over a year. Menu seemed larger than I remember,There is something on there for everyone. There was 5 of us and I booked a table. We weren't rushed even though it was a busy Saturday. We had 3 courses, the tortilla sharer starter which was plenty enough for the 5 of us to share. I had the Barbabcoa beef Mexican stew as my main which was absolutely delicious and pretty big,I had a side of rice with it and was full by the time I finished, But not full enough to not fit in a delicious pub of golden nugget cheesecake. This place is definitely value for money and worth a visit.
Phil W — Google review
We were in the area and the wife did a quick Google search for good restaurants. Chiquito popped up as a good choice and we fancied the look of it. I have to say, the food was delicious. It was so nice I forget to take pictures of our mains, as I was too busy tucking in🤦🏼‍♂️ The service was also excellent as our waitress was very polite and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant, was quite funky. We had the 5 Bean Chilli Nachos and BBQ Chicken Wings for starters (pic), Pulled Pork Chimichanga, Borrito & Paella for mains. A must try restaurant!
Chris G — Google review
I'd never been before and I was suprised I actually liked it. So for starter I had the chips and dip and I wasn't a fan. The salsa was homemade and I love salsa, however I did not like this one. The guac was ok but I've never really liked guac anyway and the sour cream was pretty bland. The same could be said about the chips too. They had a bit of seasoning on and where the seasoning was, they were nice, but it was very sparse and only in one patch on each chip, which is a shame. For main I had the southern fried chicken and BBQ pulled pork which was honestly amazing. After the starter I didn't have high hopes, but it actually tasted so nice. The chicken was crispy and the flavour of the chicken, pulled pork, cheese and BBQ sauce together was lovely and worked perfectly. The one thing I would say, I guess not really a complaint just a statement, I had a lot of fries, a lot. The chicken stack had been placed on top of my fries and when I moved it off and to the side I realised half my plate was fries. Compared to my boyfriend, who got the nacho chilli burger, it definitely seemed unfair the amount difference. It's safe to say I didn't eat all my fries and did pass some over to my partner. We also got a garlic tortilla with cheese to try and it was honestly delicious. If you are a fan of garlic bread then I strongly advise you to try this, you won't regret it. The restaurant itself was pretty big with an upstairs but also quite rightly packed with the tables, I like sitting in booths as I feel they give a sense of privacy but the walk ways weren't the biggest and I couldn't imagine it being easy to walk round when it gets busy. When we were there a diner started choking on her food, she was ok in the end, however the staff didn't seem to know how to react properly and their was a bit of a lack of communication in the panic. She was patted on the back and saved but I think that was from a customers doing, as the manager didn't seem to dislodge the food when he tried. So I'd say to the staff their that maybe they need to be trained in how to deal with a choking customer, as they do work in a place where their is a chance of that happening and they should really know how to deal with it efficiently. All in all besides that we had a nice dinner date, the food after the starter was good, the servers were polite and friendly and the restaurant was quite quiet at the time we went (4:30pm). P.s. To all future customers, make sure to chew your food properly.

The food here is always spot on!! I cannot recommend this place enough.... Tables are spaced well during this pandemic and staff are very friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you, all in all best restaurant we've been to, literally can't fault them!

Enjoyable meal due after initial concerns over spiciness of the meal options. I was reassured that everything was cooked fresh to order with the option of "heat" 😅. We had a shared starter, followed by baked sea bass and the OH had jumbalaya. Lively and cheerful location. Good service from Suzie, our server. Restrooms are clean but upstairs. Paid parking nearby. Wheelchair access may be tricky in downstairs restaurant for access to the restroom.

What a fantastic place. I have been to others in the chain in the past and would not have chosen to go back after poor experiences. But my son and his partner dragged us along to treat us. Blown away by the great service, fab cocktails and superb food. Service was excellent. Really well trained and helpful. Took great care around a food allergy. A wonderful experience. Highly reccomended.

My new favorite place to eat! I've been to many places around the world and many all-you-can-eat buffets, but this one is my #1 so far! My previous favorite place was a Brazilian grill restaurant in Cozumel Mexico, which is almost as good. The food selection, the service, the interior, everything is great!
Nikolay T — Google review
We arrived just before they opened at 5pm so had to queue. Be prepared that this place does get very busy, especially in the school holidays so I'd advise to book a table. We didn't book this time but managed to get in. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and inviting and stayed that way for the whole night. The young staff that clear tables never stop and are tentive to your needs with nothing being to much trouble. The food has improved a lot I feel since the last time I visited, with dishes actually tasting of what they should and not just a generic flavour with a different colour. My overall opinion is it's not the best quality food but, everyone knows that. It is a good night out with the family though and for a set price, ain't that bad. I would visit again.

We had a fantastic dining experience! The live teppanyaki grill was a highlight, and my partner loved the fresh pizzas. It’s a great spot for dinner, and we’ll definitely be returning soon. The only downside was that the desserts were a bit too sweet for our taste.
Denise C — Google review
A large variety of foods including teppenyaki - which is by far my favourite - king prawns, squid, chicken, gyoza's, along with udon noodles, pak choi, mushrooms and more! There's a large variety of desserts too, such as cakes, sweets, fruit, ice cream, and more. My only criticism is that some of the staff members weren't too friendly, struggling to crack a smile, no matter how much I thanked them and smiled. They were, however, rather attentive with clearing plates etc.

Extremely Disappointing Experience I had a really bad experience at Bon Pan Asian and feel let down, especially considering how much I was looking forward to it. The buffet looked decent at first glance, but most of the food was either cold or clearly had been sitting out for too long. Dishes that were supposed to be hot were lukewarm at best, and nothing tasted fresh. To make matters worse, not long after eating there, I felt really unwell. I can’t say for certain what caused it, but I definitely regret eating there. It’s unacceptable for a restaurant to serve food that might make people sick. I expected a variety of fresh, tasty Asian cuisine, but what I got was far from that. Overall, it was a disappointing, uncomfortable, and unpleasant experience. I won’t be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Danielle B — Google review
Busy and nice buffet with plenty food options. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Better to be booked your table before arrive. Food was good but some areas it’s took long time to refill. If you think drink is expensive you might ask for tap water and it’s free. Kids friendly and have good clean toilet facilities. St Johns car park is the nearby parking area. I wish the receptionist lady could be more joyful.

My visit to this restaurant was not planned but I had the time of my life while eating 😂. I like trying out new food and this restaurant gave me a good taste of Asian food . If you’re thinking of going to this place for aesthetic purposes you’ve gone to the wrong place because it is an eat to you drop kind of thing. It’s a little bit rowdy because lots of people come here and they have to clear tables immediately cause customers troop in every minute. I went with someone and because it was a weekday we paid 38pounds for two persons but on weekends it’s 20pounds per person which I think it’s reasonable for what you’re getting. Asides the food, drinks are not included in that price though which I don’t understand yet. They have various dishes ranging from pork ribs, meat balls, shrimps, rice, pasta, noodles and so much more. They also have a separate section for desserts, candies and cakes. My advice to you is to come hungry tbh so you could each as much as you want and don’t be like me. You’re not also allowed to take food out of the restaurant so yeah just come hungry. I recommend this place for family gatherings, dates and celebrations.

As a family we went on a Saturday afternoon, the choice of food was limited and not all serving dishes were being used, we were disappointed!! My daughter in law went to use the baby changing room only to find the baby changing mat ripped and full of “black mould” I raised this in person with the manager and told him it was a real health risk as my Grandchildren was new born and there was absolutely NO way this could have been missed by cleaners, it wasn’t fit for purpose, The Manager did not seem to think it was a problem, I was appalled. As regular customers I really do think this place has gone down hill, a real shame!!

Liverpool John Lennon Airport

International airport
Airport
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is located in a city known for its rich history and cultural significance. The airport offers a convenient gateway to explore the birthplace of The Beatles and home to renowned football clubs. Visitors can enjoy a quintessential British gastropub experience at The Monro, which features a charming courtyard and an inviting atmosphere. In addition to exploring the city's vibrant arts and culture scene, travelers can indulge in diverse dining experiences, from dockside eateries to fine-dining restaurants.
Great airport! It’s a small one terminal airport so if you land there, you’re out very quickly with clear signage about how to get away. Leaving is super nice as it’s mainly Ryanair and Easyjet. There’s a Greggs before you enter the secured area and it’s quite cheap compared to after security. Security was busier than I expected for such a small airport but it was fast, highly efficient (nothing had to be taken out of the bag and barely any bags got pulled out) and everyone was courteous and friendly, very welcoming! Gates are announced close to departure which I don’t like and there’s a small waiting area with some food options in the secured area. WiFi wasn’t strong enough for me to still have it in the gate area 3 and above. Overall, really enjoyed that airport!

This is my first time flying from Liverpool airport, and I must say, it is far less stressful than a certain other airport...beginning with M! Nice, small terminal. Check in with Jet2 was quick and easy, as was security control.
Small G — Google review
Liverpool Airport is small but quite modern. If you’re feeling hungry, I’d recommend grabbing a coffee or a drink at Greggs. The bag checks are done quickly – you don’t need to take things out – and the whole security process is quite high-tech. Do arrive early though, as they tend to have fewer staff around lunchtime, so things can slow down a bit. Bring a jacket – you have to walk outside to get to the plane and it’s often quite chilly with the wind, though it doesn’t take long. Overall, my experience at Liverpool Airport has been a good one – the staff are friendly and everything runs smoothly

Never flown from Liverpool before. It was easy to get to. The meet and greet was straightforward and easy with a short walk to the terminal. Checking in the bags and security were quick and efficient. Our plane left on time. A great experience going and coming back. So much more pleasant than the bigger airports I've used.
Laura R — Google review
Several free water refills (before and after security) would be great. Very limited options to eat or drink pre-security. If you have check-in luggage you must stay in pre-security area for several hours for any connecting flight. Apparently you can drop off your luggage 3 hours until departure time.

Great efficient airport. Much much more organised than Manchester. Simple layout. One floor check ins and exit and top floor gates. Plenty of choice. Starbucks burger king etc. Smoking area easy access. Large selection of duty free. Good security

Ample parking right next to arrivals/ departures - pricey of course at 12 pounds for an hour's stay! Quiet and with a few shops and coffee places available.

That’s a really nice airport - friendly staff, cool design, and posters with The Beatles.

Manchester Airport

International airport
Airport
Manchester Airport (MAN) is a bustling 3-terminal airport with national rail connections and flights to various destinations worldwide. It offers a range of facilities including shops, self-check-in kiosks, and parking spaces, although parking can be pricey. The airport provides quick check-in procedures and an array of dining and shopping options. While it may lack some staff for inquiries, the new Terminal 3 has improved convenience and reduced queues compared to other terminals.
Passport control has been massively improved since my last international trip a few years ago. The flight arrived early, we got through passport control super quick and my baggage only took 15-20 mins to show up on the carousel. Express pickup area was convenient and made it easy to get the Uber.

It was a great Airport especially Terminal 2! The interior design was great and it was fascinating to be there. The only problem is that when I was collecting my luggage they would only send out 2-3 luggage every few minutes or so and that nearly made me miss my train! Great experience though.
Fabio S — Google review
Came on a train four hours before the flight so no rush. I had to walk to Terminal 3 but the signs were clearly displayed so it was easy to follow. Used toilets twice and although both were reasonably clean, it was smelling really bad in one of them. Waiting area after the security check was packed, so I had to wander for a few minutes to find a seat with enough personal space around me. Plenty of places to eat and drink.

Arrived at Manchester Airport with time to spare — parking was easy to find and clearly signed. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were helpful and polite. Security took around 20 minutes, which felt reasonable for a busy weekday morning. Once through, Terminal 2 was bright, clean, and full of decent food and coffee spots. Grabbed a quick bite and found plenty of seating near the gate. Boarding was well-organised, and staff kept things moving without fuss. Overall, a solid travel experience — efficient, comfortable, and much improved from a few years ago. Just arrive early, especially during peak times, and you’ll be fine.

I've been here 4 times, and it's been a good, straightforward journey getting to and from the gates. My favourite terminal has to be T2 as it has a good variety of shops and the gates aren't too far away.
Connor C — Google review
Well what a change in Terminal 2 now the renovations are just about complete. It no longer feels like Luton airport in the 1970s. Lovely modern spacious ambience, fast efficient security, clean and tidy with a fast train link. Great shopping and eating too. What more could you ask for.
Martin F — Google review
It’s a good airport. Modern. Well appointed. Good facilities and amenities. Not much in departures before security. There is a WH Smith and a Starbucks. Protip: nowhere to sit in departures really so might not want to arrive too early. Can sit on the cement blocks outside if the weathers ok. After security the Duty Free is epic. The eatery options decent. Seating options are significantly better. Adequate. Another Protip: Boots is a really great store in my experience for travel amenities and snacks. Good variety of options and so many of the things you may be looking for at a reasonable price.

Manchester Airport is a very smooth, very well organised airport. Being one of the busiest airports in the UK, it's absolutely amazing. There's a lot of car parking by the airport and it's a very affordable price. Manchester Airport has a humongous selection, and 3 terminals make it spread out, and the ATC knows how to make sure the runways are running smoothly. Absolutely amazing airport, and I would highly recommend it. It's also got a great planespotting place with a British Airways Concorde on show!. P.S. : The planespotting area costs £5 for entry, but it's worth it.

Birmingham Airport

International airport
Airport
Birmingham Airport, established in the 1980s, boasts strong local and long-distance bus connections as well as its own train station. It is conveniently located in the heart of Birmingham. The area offers a variety of family-friendly activities including children's clubs, play areas, museums, nature spots, and entertainment venues. Additionally, there are numerous dining options such as Dirty Martini which provides a cozy atmosphere and serves food along with an extensive selection of liquors.
Hello pretty much, I had a great experience taking my flight from Birmingham airport to Perpignan yesterday ! I arrived at the airport around 11:30am and my flight was at 1:40pm. I never came to this airport before but I didn’t struggle at all to find where I had to go for the departures place. The security was easy to find and everyone was pretty kind with me there, explaining everything and helping me whenever I needed. After security, waiting for my plane I had access to a huge commercial place. We can buy a lot of different things you can see on the photos and we can eat pretty much everything. Such a good idea ! I had to wait 1 hour and a half but it was so quick with all of these things to wait. Thank you Birmingham and United Kingdom for this beautiful Airport ✈️🛩️

Great place. Perfectly located airport. 15 minutes and I am there. No traffic. Great parking. Great short term pick up/drop off zone. After renovation - looks amazing. Very good security check system. Even when it looks that it is a looooooot of people you go smoothly. Perfect for travellers who are annoyed with queues. After renovation I have never bought fast track in this airport

This was a great airport to fly out from, connected with the train station by a people mover cable car type system! Electronic departure boards and boarding gate signage is frequent to help navigate around, water refillable points can be found across the airport too. Seating is comfy for sitting back on or some for lying down, toilets are kept clean themselves. Designs like the pattern on the wall showing a steam train running to the end are innovative and queuing system for the flight was efficient where we walked straight there, security went fine although we were told not to take pictures in the baggage area maybe due to the possibility of any breaches.

I recently traveled through Birmingham Airport from Abu Dhabi via Istanbul. As a tourist and other nationality they asked some questions about travel purposes, return dates, stay locations and it was easy for me. Too slow and rush at emigration, baggage handling was fast, trolly required to pay, public transportation are available. The ticket rate was high if compared with Heathrow.
Abdulsalam P — Google review
Birmingham Airport prioritizes function over flair. The facilities are small and dated, with minimal shopping and dining options. It serves its primary purpose-getting you on your flight-but don't expect anything more.
Joti C — Google review
Very low quality, one of the worst in the UK. Very slow services. After 23:30, no information desk. After 24:00 no transportation to the train station until the morning. My flight was delayed so I missed the train and I spent all night at the airport. No place to sit apart from the floor. Toilets filthy. No signs to find access to the coach.

I knew Birmingham airport wouldn't be the best, but today i had the absolute worst experience. The hall for the bag drop Was never show, it said zone the entire time, a letter was never given. Staff couldn't help me either, I was told to just wait. After touring all zones for the 3rd time one display had changed to the airline I needed. Already running late bc of the earlier matter I made mh way to security. The airport website clearly stated liquids up to 2l would be fine. Still my bag had to be inspected further. Turns out liquids up to 2l are alright but need to be tested individually. Would be good to communicate that in advance to plan in the time. The toilets are run down. The doors barely close, so someone walked in on me. Furthermore a hook would be nice so handbags dont have to be left on the floor. Overall I would avoid Birmingham Airport whenever I can.

I recently flew through Birmingham Airport (BHX) in the UK and had a mixed experience. On one hand, it’s conveniently located and user‑friendly in certain aspects, but on the other hand there were a few issues worth noting. What I liked: The airport is relatively easy to navigate with a single terminal layout, which made finding check‑in, security and my gate more straightforward than at some larger UK hubs. Its rail‑link is strong according to recent independent surveys, making it a good option for travelers using public transport. International Airport Review During my visit, staff at check‑in were courteous and helpful when I asked about luggage allowance and boarding gate details. What could be better: Security and check‑in queues were longer than I expected. Several reviewers have flagged this as a repeated issue, particularly during busy times or while ongoing construction is in progress. Some facilities feel outdated or under‑resourced — for example, seating near gates was limited and a few retail/café areas felt crowded or lacking. Drop‑off and pick‑up zones, as well as car‑park signage and access, seemed confusing at times; this added a bit of stress when arriving early. Overall thoughts: If you’re flying from or through Birmingham Airport and arrive with plenty of time, the trip can be quite smooth. The accessibility and straightforward terminal design are definite pluses. However, if you’re cutting it close to your flight or travelling at peak times, I’d advise giving yourself extra buffer time due to potential queues and minor facility drawbacks.
