Andy's Pizza

Mentioned on
1 list
$$$$affordable
Pizza restaurant
If you're on the lookout for a delightful dining experience in Transnistria and Moldova, look no further than Andy's Pizza. This popular chain restaurant boasts an extensive menu that caters to both local and Western tastes, making it a versatile choice for any palate. Their pizzas are particularly noteworthy—massive, affordable, and downright delicious! While the atmosphere can get a bit bustling and loud at times, the quality of food more than makes up for it.
Great food at very very reasonable prices (especially if you come from abroad)! Food quality is great and the service as well! Pretty much everything is served under 15 minutes. Been there multiple times already in just a few days. Totally recommend it! And it’s open 24/7!
Daniel M — Google review
Good price/quality ratio. Proper food for a decent price in central location, in my opinion this is the best description for Andy‘s Pizza. You won’t get something ultra delicious or rare, but you will get a medium+ portion of a tasty food. Additional plus goes for 24 seven working hours, it is hard to find a place for a breakfast before 10 AM, Andy‘s covers this issue.
Dmytro G — Google review
Excellent atmosphere and very reasonable price. We ordered spinach soup, pizza, and salmon. The food was delicious and all under 20 dollars for 2 people.
Jami K — Google review
Would definitely recommend anyone here! Staff are friendly, prices are good, very good atmosphere. The food was also delicious.
George P — Google review
too crowded and loud, but the prices are pretty good and the food is tasty. We enjoyed the maxi nuggets (only 240 mdl!) and nachos a lot. The lasagna was also very good, but the 4 cheese pasta was awful - no cheese, no cream, just boiled pasta with a sprinkle of parmesan. The sangria is also not a sangria, just rose wine with oranges and soda but it still tasted fine.
Itır A — Google review
Food was amazing, the staff are kind of busy, so perhaps hiring more would be better. The place is cosy and super fun to have your meals at.
K M — Google review
The service is fast, staff knows English and they are helpful, I had pizza and a local soup, the soup was really tasty, I loved it, the pizza was also okay, but I think easily you can find better pizzas in the city.
Uğur P — Google review
I’ve never had tasteless pizza before. This pizza is just plain tomato pasata - no spices, budget cheese with no flavour. I dont recommend it Off course waiting time was long

Dolce Vita

Mentioned on

Pizza restaurant
If you find yourself in Tiraspol, make sure to stop by Dolce Vita cafe, a beloved spot among the local university crowd. This charming eatery offers a buffet-style dining experience that’s both casual and inviting. With its late-Soviet decor, it exudes a nostalgic vibe that adds to its appeal. The menu features delicious options like their renowned Diablo pizza and mouthwatering dolce vita steak paired with fries and Greek salad—both of which are highly recommended!
It was my second visit in. I love their dolce vita steak with fries and greek salad. A service was good and staff was friendly. Even though the place looks a bit strange.
Ye Y — Google review
Food so good, and the location is very nice, the manager is so sweet and does her work very well. I recommend this place to everyone!
Leonardo C — Google review
I was visiting from the United States and was looking forward to trying this restaurant. While the food we did receive tasted good, the overall experience was disappointing due to very poor customer service. Several menu items were unavailable, which was already a letdown. But the main issue was with the person who took our order. She didn’t write anything down and ended up forgetting multiple items we asked for. On top of that, we were given two wrong menu items. When we politely pointed out the mistakes, instead of correcting them, she argued with us and tried to insist she was right—despite the clear mix-up. The order was never fixed, and we were left feeling frustrated. Good food can’t make up for bad service. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return here or recommend it to others based on this experience.
Jessica C — Google review
Dolce Vita is an excellent choice for casual dining in Orhei. It's an older place, with a late-Soviet, early-post-Soviet vibe that is charming. Our server was fabulous. The food was good, and the price was right. I might even call it fun.
David B — Google review
The food it's pretty cheap, the service is depend on time. If you are lucky then you can be served quickly. The most unusual for me was the toilet, how do the women use it?! 🤨
Miroslav B — Google review
Part of the food was nice, waited an hour for the food, after waiting for 30 minutes for soup they told us that this soup isn't available, in one of the orders we found hair, asked without mushrooms in one of the dishes and got it with mushroom in it.
מתן ב — Google review
This is a typical restaurant for orhei. The pizzas were delicious and cost about 5-6 euros. Must tried th Diablo pizza. Also they brought a blanket because they saw I was cold, without asking first. Thanks 🙏

Kumanek Restaurant

Temporarily Closed
$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Kumanek Restaurant is a centrally located spot offering good draught beer and delicious food at reasonable prices. The wait staff are professional, attentive, and English-speaking. The menu is available in English to assist with ordering. While some dishes may be too oily, the friendly service and great food make up for it. The restaurant also features a display of beautiful handmade wine bottles. Despite the old-fashioned squat toilets, they are kept clean.
Visit Transnistia was like crash with total sovietic culture, monuments of tanks, Lenin, other Bolshevik’s and lot of lies … but, this restaurant was something other, delicious Romania -Russian cousin, so wet low prices and pretty waiters. Could I visit again? Of course :)
Mic H — Google review
Good draught beer and delicious food. Central location. Waiters are professional, attentive but not disruptive, offer good service and can speak English. The price of food and drinks are reasonable. There is a corner displaying wine bottles. I am attracted by the beautiful hand made wine bottle rather than the wine.
Steven N — Google review
Friendly service & great food. Some dished too oily. Lunch for two around €22. Menu is also in English, so this should help you through your order as staff speak little. Complimentary amuse and strong aperitive. Do note, toilets are the old fashioned squat toilet but luckily clean
Blossom — Google review
The service was very good (Maria), pork steak was an interesting choice but also very nice. Fried potatoes super, cabbage salad very light and tasty. Payment only in cash :(

An excellent restaurant with nice food with quality and reasonable price. You may have a try on the traditional food here. Waitresses are pretty and waiters handsome. Highly recommended.

Day tripping from Chișinău and want to dine in a place other than Andy's Pizza? Try this one. Food was good and prices on par with Andy's. Log cabin atmosphere inside with authentic pieces or regional life adorning the walls, like jars of pickles and paintings. Here you can try Transnistrian beer, наше, and pick from Moldovan and Ukrainian dishes. They accept multiple currencies, including MDL. Cards normally accepted but was not available when I was there. The place looked like it was closed at 1230 on Saturday, but it was indeed open.
Paul W — Google review
Try to get on of the booths outside and ask the friendly staff for their pick of Ukrainian specialty dishes. We had cheese filled dumplings as well as mamaliga, which is a locally made polenta with toppings. In addition, try the kvass (drink made from fermented bread) or the lemonade!
Crister S — Google review
Good beer and tasty dinner. And as a very big surprise we've got free shots of local vodka.

Toscana

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Nestled in Tiraspol, *Toscana* is a delightful restaurant that captures the essence of Tuscany with its inviting atmosphere and diverse culinary offerings. The menu features an array of dishes, from expertly crafted pasta and pizzas to traditional Moldovan specialties, all made with fresh ingredients and presented beautifully. One standout item is their tiramisu, which showcases the skill of their grill chefs. For those who may not speak the local language, English menus are available to make dining easier.
Passing by, I noticed that the restaurant has an interesting name related to Tuscany, which piqued my curiosity. The prices are moderate, and considering the impressive presentation of the tiramisu, the high skill of the grill chefs, and the diverse menu options including sushi rolls and pizzas, they are reasonable. Additionally, the restaurant features a karaoke room on the basement floor, which adds to its unique appeal. Overall, the restaurant offers a distinctive dining experience in Tiraspol.
T. G — Google review
We absolutely loved the place! They were very nice and kind to us. Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. They also have English menus, and traditional dishes, allowing tourists to embrace the local culture. | We ate Kyev kotleta, Pasta Carbonara, Salad with liver, and Chicken broth soup |
Botond B — Google review
The *Toscana* restaurant in Tiraspol impresses with a pleasant atmosphere and a diverse menu. A particularly positive aspect is that English menus are available, which makes choosing dishes much easier if you don't speak the local language. The food was very delicious and well-prepared. Whether it's pasta, pizza, or traditional Moldovan dishes—everything was of high quality and tasted excellent. The freshness of the ingredients and the thoughtful presentation of the dishes stood out. The prices are absolutely fair and reasonable. A beer costs around 1.50 € here, which is a great deal considering the quality and pleasant ambiance. Overall, *Toscana* offers a good combination of quality and value for money, making it definitely worth a visit.

At first it scared us off, that the place was empty. But as soon as we got serviced I got a favourable impression of this restaurant, tasty food for a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and very patient too
Stanislav B — Google review
We visited on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were on their A-game. We got the mussels, chicken cutlet (Kiev-style), and pizza. Would recommend all of them. Prices are reasonable too, especially given the quality.

The food is very tasty, the waiter is very polite. A very large selection of everything, national cuisine, Italian and Japanese. Very tasty lemonades

Perfect for a beer. Haven't tried food. Staff really welcoming and nice. We had the local draft beer.

Fuior

$$$$expensive
Restaurant
Fuior, an exceptional "gourmet" eatery in Chisinau, stands out as the unparalleled dining establishment in town. The level of service is impeccable, with a highly attentive and courteous wait staff at your beck and call. In case you're uncertain about the menu options, rely on their expert recommendations that consistently hit the mark. Moreover, their wine selection is delightful and the staff can adeptly suggest pairings based on your chosen dishes.
A very modern take on the traditional Moldovan cuisine! We enjoyed every single dish we had a chance to try (if we weren't leaving tomorrow, we would definitely come back to try the rest). Their wine selection is vast - every top wines from region are listed on the menu (although some were not available at the moment). If you are looking for an elevated local dining experience - this is the place!
Michael P — Google review
An absolute gem of a restaurant that beautifully bridges traditional Moldovan cuisine with bold, modern interpretations. From start to finish, this was a standout experience. The service was exceptional truly next level. A special mention to our waiter, Denis (and my sincere apologies if I got the name wrong!), who was not only incredibly professional and knowledgeable but also warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food and wine being served. He added a personal touch that made the evening feel even more special. The wine selection was another highlight carefully curated, full of character, and very fairly priced. Every glass complemented the food perfectly. And speaking of the food... absolutely phenomenal. Each dish was a celebration of texture, flavour, and technique. You could feel the respect for Moldova’s culinary heritage, elevated with modern finesse. The balance between traditional comfort and creative flair was spot-on ,something you’d expect from a MasterChef finalist’s menu. Every plate looked stunning and delivered on taste even more. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience Moldovan cuisine at its finest, with a fresh twist. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a memorable night out, this place is a must-visit. In a nutshell, I am a tremendously fussy person when it comes to eating out, but you met all my expectations! Keep it like this and I hope you’ll get more and more customers who appreciate the hard work behind the kitchen wall.

I recently had dinner at Fuior in Chișinău, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in Moldova. The moment you step inside, you feel a beautiful balance between rustic tradition and modern elegance. The décor, with its wooden details and soft lighting, creates a cozy yet refined atmosphere. The food was simply outstanding. I tried a few traditional dishes — mămăligă, sarmale, and a perfectly cooked piece of local meat — all rich in flavor and beautifully presented. Each bite felt like a story from Moldovan culture, prepared with passion and respect for local ingredients. The staff were exceptional: attentive, polite, and genuinely welcoming. They explained the menu in detail and even recommended a fantastic Moldovan wine that matched my meal perfectly. What I loved most about Fuior is that it doesn’t try too hard — it’s authentic, heartfelt, and focused on quality. It’s a place where you can enjoy the taste of Moldova at its best, whether you’re a local rediscovering your roots or a traveler exploring new flavors. I highly recommend it.
Alexandru D — Google review
Good service, clean, nice atmosphere, cool AC, luxury style. We paid about 15$ per person for 3 dishes on photos attached. Smaller portions of food, fine dining. Couple negative experience is that we overheard manager yelling at one of the servers and only one restroom was available. Also the ambient scent/aroma in the restaurant was a little overwhelming.
Alex S — Google review
An unforgettable dining experience at Fuior, Chișinău! Everything about this place was perfect. I had the beef steak with celery purée, and it was exceptional — juicy, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The sparkling wine was excellent and complemented the meal perfectly. The service was outstanding — warm, attentive, and incredibly fast. You can really feel the staff’s professionalism and passion for hospitality. What stood out most was the interior design — a refined mix of traditional motifs and modern aesthetics. The traditional patterns, textures, and materials blend harmoniously with sleek, contemporary elements, creating a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. Fuior is a true gem in Chișinău — where taste, service, and design come together for a complete experience. Highly recommended!
Irina B — Google review
Outstanding, if I could give 10 stars I would. The tastes, presentation, service are the very best. I live in London and have been lucky enough to eat at the best restaurants, and this is comparable.....have never had such tastes before, and I believe they are based on local dishes. Amazing, came for lunch and ended up having dinner too.
Julian B — Google review
What a unique sophisticated blend of tasteful elegance and unpretentious local charm! The four-course tasting menu was a brilliant choice, perfectly complemented by an inventive house-made lemonade (unfortunately I had to pass on the local wine). The duck was a true masterpiece—exquisitely tender and flavorful. The service elevated the entire evening: the team, especially the delightful Alexandr, was impeccably professional yet wonderfully warm, offering invaluable, subtle guidance. It is, hands down, the best restaurant I have visited in recent memory. A definitive must-visit in Chisinau. If you miss it, you miss a lot!
Stanislaw L — Google review
Fuior Restaurant it is a perfect combination of traditional and modern. The taste of the dishes, the spectacular plating and the menu, they complement each other perfectly. You're instantly charmed by the atmosphere and curious to try the dishes.

"Back in the USSR" Restaurant

Restaurant
"Back in the USSR" Restaurant is a Soviet-themed dining spot in Tiraspol that offers a chic and boujee experience. The waitstaff, including the owner Igor, are known for their kindness and friendliness. The menu features traditional dishes like shashlik and borsch, as well as beautifully presented desserts. Guests can also enjoy cheap and delicious beer while soaking up the atmosphere. Live music performances on weekends add to the lively ambiance.
I had a lovely meal here! Is it gimmicky? Yes of course! But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t good. The lovely staff serving a selection of meats and veg options really felt nostalgic. Add to it all the decor and extremely affordable local beer and honestly I couldn’t be happier. Was smiling ear to ear throughout. The chicken noodle soup and the coleslaw were probably my favourite part. Very glad I gave it a try.
Jon W — Google review
Really enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was really like the USSR having many portrets and statues from that time. The prices were not so high but i would have liked the portions to be bigger as in an ordinary sovietic restaurant. Staff friendly and fast

Nice place to vist and try local food. I tried moldovan soup Zeama and some cake with potatoes. Nice old style place. If you never seen these kind of decoratiosn, is good to see.

Brilliant restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely and attentive. Inside is very interesting and you can try on clothes of soldiers from the USSR.
Ben F — Google review
I didn’t like here the food! Al the food was cold! Why the food was cold? Asking this question the waiter she said that she doesn’t know, incredible! I will never come here again! By the way, you are not able to pay here with a Visa or Mastercard, so you have to change money! Very uncomfortable!
Rusnac N — Google review
Stepping into Back in the USSR felt like teleporting into a Soviet grandma’s living room—with better lighting and tastier borscht. The vintage Soviet decor is so spot-on, I half-expected Lenin to be sitting at the next table sipping kvass. The food? Shockingly good! Huge portions, delicious flavors, and prices so low I thought it was still 1983. If you're in Tiraspol and want a meal and a time-travel experience—this is your place. Long live the cutlets!

Very good, for a very cheap prizes had 3 meals which where 9/10, 9/10 and 10/10. Also 9/10 pinacolada and a decent beer. For tourist this is a must visit spot. We would just like a strict soviet theme, there is like a disco poster or something like that that we didnt like but other than that, perfect.

La Tocană is a must-visit for anyone eager to indulge in authentic Moldovan cuisine. Nestled in the heart of the city, this charming restaurant boasts a cozy ethnic design that enhances your dining experience. The menu features an array of traditional dishes and delightful wines, all served in generous portions at reasonable prices. While it's important to note that payments can only be made with Transnistrian rubles, there's a convenient supermarket nearby for currency exchange.
Great restaurant to try the traditional Moldovan food. The food is well served and the portions are big. The location is also a plus since it’s in the city center. You can only pay with transnistrian rubles and western cards won’t work, luckily there is a supermarket across the street where you can exchange money.

One of the top choices for dining in Chiinau, Keller Holz Gastropub offers a flawless experience with its ideal location, wide range of beers and exquisite selection of wines. The menu presents a plethora of delectable dishes, catering to diverse preferences. The attentive and friendly service by a youthful staff adds to the overall charm. This remarkable establishment also stands out for its affordable prices, exemplified by the mouthwatering burger accompanied by delightful fries available at just 9 euros.

A wonderful and very cozy atmosphere. And if you don't like beer, the alcohol bar has a great selection of dozens of different top quality whiskies and much more. Greetings to Alexei who served us. It was a great evening. We would love to come back again.

Brilliant! We popped in on our first day in Chisenau for a few IPAs and their bacon appetizer. It was super and Alex our waiter was so kind. We made reservations for our last night's meal and it was perfect. Comfortable seating, nice ambience and attentive service. Our food was excellent. I especially loved the sea salt potatoes and the asparagus with broccoli. They were out of their bitters to start, not fully ready yet, but no matter as there were so many options. The value for money is top notch. We hope to visit Chisenau again and will return on our next visit.

Had a good lunch here, no meat for us but we made a nice veggie meal with the onion, spinach, potatoes and vegetables. Great service, nice and quiet atmosphere, recommended for groups of any size. Also, enjoyed the stout and the eno bier, lots of good beers on the menu.

What an amazing place in Chisinau. Holz offers Fusion cuisine with various food options to choose from some of which are really gourmet and not typical for local pubs and restaurants. The service was so nice and welcoming, we had a lovely experience and were taken good care of. For food I recommend trying the deep fried onion, home made potato chips with salsa, pate and salads. On the main we had burgers, beef stake and curry chicken sausage which were delicious. The Aviator cocktail and their lemonades are also on my recommendation list. Thanks for an amazing service and great food.

We had a wonderful experience! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Service was fast and smooth. A lovely girl named Iulia took the time to explain each of their special house brews to us, which made the tasting experience truly enjoyable and informative. The food was also absolutely delicious. With its great atmosphere and attentive service, this is definitely a place we’d love to come back to. Highly recommended!

This restaurant offers some interesting and sophisticated dishes. I had the chicken liver pate and the smoked duck breast salad and they were both delicious. The mostly English-speaking wait staff was congenial and also very helpful for doing some telephone translating. The only point of critique I have is that the prices there are unusually high. I guess that's what makes them exclusive.
Alan S — Google review
I had the pleasure of visiting Keller Holz Gastropub during my stay in Chisinau, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is beautiful, with a warm and appealing interior design that immediately makes you feel at home. I was welcomed with kindness, and the service was smooth and attentive throughout the evening. I ordered a hamburger, which was cooked to perfection – juicy, flavorful, and served in a soft, tasty bun. The gastropub also brews its own beers, and I tried the Weissbier, the Helles, and an IPA. Each one was refreshing and well-crafted, a great match with the food. For dessert, I couldn’t resist trying a Moldovan classic: the Napoleon cake. Layers of crispy puff pastry with a creamy filling – absolutely delicious! I can highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Chisinau. Whether you come for the food, the beers, or simply the atmosphere, you will not disappointed.

(Translated by Google) Special mention for the 'Costitza of pork, with potatoes Cricova'. Naively, I asked for mustard, even though the dish was perfect as is. Compliments to the chef (Original) mention spéciale pour la 'Costitza of pork, with potatoes Cricova'. Ingénument, j'ai réclamé de la moutarde, alors que plat était parfait ainsi. Compliments au cuisinier

Airport
Chisinau International Airport offers a top-notch travel experience with its efficient and professional staff, modern facilities, and well-organized layout. The immigration and security procedures are swift, ensuring a seamless journey. Travelers can enjoy a variety of shops, restaurants, and amenities while waiting for their flights. The airport also features comfortable waiting areas with charging sockets available. Additionally, the Golden Jet Lounge provides a premium experience for eligible visitors.
Quite a small airport for an international airport with only 9 gates however there are about 20 flights a day running 24hrs 7 days a week. The airport is clean, tidy and easy to navigate. Staff are friendly, calm and professional. The airport does a calm feel about it and although small it does have a duty free shop and a restaurant upstairs with prices very good for an airport. Plenty of seating and charge points upstairs. Taxis to the centre in the early hours of the morning are approx 350 lei and during the day about 250 lei to the city centre

The airport is modern with efficient service. Very clean. During the holiday season it gets quite busy, but I didn’t feel any discomfort because of it. What struck me as very unusual was the sight of numerous luxury Ukrainian cars in the parking lot, which is rather odd for a country at war.

Very nice modern airport. Great "cafe" upstairs offering good quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. The duty free is rubbish, whilst a large range of alcohol, the prices are about 20 percent dearer than UK high street prices. Makes no sense to me. However apart from that the airport is definitely one of the better ones.

I traveled for the first time from this airport, when i visited it it was very clean but airport size is on small side. There are few options of restuarants. Also i like business class lounge. Bathrooms are super clean. Duty free prices is a bit high.

The airport must be expanded as sometimes there could be queues especially on a busy period of the year. Other than that the Airport is quite small but cute. Didn't have any major issues there.

What an unpleasant experience all around. For such a tiny airport, you’d think they have it together! They don’t. Because it’s “National Language Day” (a public holiday in Moldova apparently), the police have closed the entry road to the airport!!! So my driver (who’s unusually kind and sweet for the average Moldovan) regretfully dropped me off outside and I had to drag my suitcase up a broken, steep ramp and walk about 500 metres to the airport entrance. The staff at the airport everywhere are so unfriendly and grouchy. No matter what you ask them and how, they make you feel unwelcome. Even at the Duty Free where they need your business, they seem to feel tortured by it! Avoid this country unless you absolutely have to.

Very small airport , there is like 20 flights a day. The airport bus nr 30 takes you to town and is 6 lei. 2 times per hour. The taxfree and wine selection cannot be used if you have a transfer since they don’t have the agreement with sealed bags. There are two exchange places, some cafees with simple food.

Got to the airport at 5 in the morning for my 7 am flight. The systems were down. None of the screens are working. So many people just lost and looking around, staff are just standing there and looking at nothing instead of guiding people. Instead of announcing updates on the intercom, they remind us to not leave our luggage unattended (thank you very helpful with an airport filled with frustrated passengers). Staff is rude. When the information desk informed me of the check-in counter number, I literally had to count the counters from 1 to 23 to know which one is the right one. Flight is delayed indefinitely, their helpful advice is to wait :).
