Museums
The Museum of National History and Archaeology, located in a grand historic building, is a major tourist attraction in Constanta. It houses an extensive collection of over 430,000 archaeological and numismatic artifacts dating from the Paleolithic era to modern times. The museum showcases Roman, Byzantine, Greek, and medieval artifacts such as stone tools, bronze weapons, ceramics, ancient architectural elements like columns and friezes.
The museum invited guests at the period for the events that reserved the class for the Christmas spectacle, the Easter or new activities across the years. I was soon at the spectacle there, with children singing about our great poet, Mihai Eminescu.

Even though the museum is temporarily closed for renovations, it’s still worth a visit for its impressive exterior. Located in Ovidiu Square, right in the heart of the old town, the building has a grand, early 20th-century design with beautiful arches and intricate details. There are tombs and ruins outside But not in the best state of conservation
Daniel L — Google review
I was in this museum before it was closed for renovation. I hope it will be really cleaned up (as well as modernize the exposition inside the museum), because the building is beautiful, historical, but urgently needs renovation. About impressions, I liked it, but in contrast to other museums in Europe, it felt like it needed renovation
Din E — Google review
A nice museum give you great idea about Romania history and include alot of precious statues and rare antiques. Also story about the modern time of romania and the period of ceausescu. For sure you must visit if you come to constanta.

10.9.2024 ++architecture, some rare and unique exhibits...BUT-explations partially unreadable black on blue with dimmed light!!And why not to translate the exhibition about socialist RO at all in english???Easy onlineticketing👍
Stefan W — Google review
It was sad to see they had photoshootings and closed part of the exhibition during visiting hours with no prior notice. Looks like they lack funds for proper displays, lighting, etc, such a shame because every exhibit is mesmerising. Also there's no AC system in the building, only a few units in every other room, be careful and stay hydrated if you go in the summer months.
Hocman C — Google review
Had a rushed visit due to time constraints, however a proper tour would take atleast an hour or more. Very ancient artefacts relating to the lift around Constanta, must visit.
Mohana S — Google review
A place to visit, discover, think of and enjoy not for one day. From the very start of Tomis. Great much information. With great thanks to those, who established. I visited this museum three times. And today I enjoyed the exhibition of works of mosaics too. Opened recently. Great! The works and creations to be watched and admired once more and more. The icons, images and pictures ( May be, not just pictures, but very interesting and beautiful. Greatest thanks for those, who created all these wonders and organized it. Thanks to museum I deepened my knowledge in a lot of things and points. I deepened my knowledge of history of ancient world, of how people lived and travelled... And, the best 4,5 or 6D travells will never sibstitute the real one. And, still, in front of my eyes are images If Jesus Christ, Our Lady, Saints and Angels made of mosaics... Great, profound, educative and accomplished! Greatest thanks to all those who established this museum, enriches it and takes care of! contributed to and keep the museum. GREAT!!!!!

The Casino of Constanța

The Casino of Constanța is a historic Art Nouveau-style villa located along a seafront promenade. Built in 1909, it was initially intended to reflect Romanian architectural traditions but underwent a change in design by a French architect, resulting in its Art Nouveau style. Over the years, the casino served various purposes including as a theater, ballroom, leisure spot, and even as a hospital during World War I.
Such an amazing location and historical place to visit, highly recommend it, we had an amazing time and had a family group of varied ages from 7 to 50+ years, we all found different interesting exhibits and sections. The renovation is breathtaking and we managed to visit in a sunnier day in September and the light flowing through the stained glass windows was beautiful. We loved the interactive exhibits and that it wasn't very crowded being in extra season.
Alexandra — Google review
I love this place. It was my favourite place to visit even before its restoration. I loved to go down the stairs and listen to the sound of water. Now, that was brought back “to life” I come with more pleasure than before. Even though the stairs are no longer open for public. The entrance is a bit expensive - 53 ron, but to keep this gem in good condition I think worth the price. When I entered I was speechless. The casino itself is a work of art. The warm colors of the walls are giving a very welcoming feeling. The overall experience was very pleasant and I am happy I visited.
Andreea D — Google review
This is one of the most beautiful Art Nuveau buildings in Europe that has been recently renovated and is now open to the public. The architecture and interior design is breathtakingly beautiful with all original details restored to perfection. The building is situated in a lovely spot with great vista over the Black Sea and plenty of walking and dining choices alongside the promenade. The entry is best done online where you can book a timeslot and helps with planning your visit particularly during busy holiday periods but walk in tickets are available too.

Constanța Casino – A Must-See Landmark The Constanța Casino is absolutely stunning! Perched right on the Black Sea, it offers breathtaking views and a fascinating glimpse into Romania’s history. Even though the building is currently being restored, its Art Nouveau architecture and elegant details are unforgettable. Walking along the seafront promenade and seeing the waves crash beside this iconic monument is a magical experience. Whether you’re into photography, history, or simply love beautiful scenery, the Constanța Casino is a must-visit when exploring the city.
Bou B — Google review
An absolute must see for anyone in the region. A breathtaking architectural, acoustic, visual and educative experience. The exhibitions inside were a great plus. Highly recommended!
Calin A — Google review
The Casino of Constanța is one of the most iconic landmarks on the Romanian seaside and absolutely worth a visit. The architecture is stunning — a true Art Nouveau jewel perched right on the Black Sea promenade. The views are spectacular at any time of day, but especially at sunset when the building glows in golden light and the waves crash against the rocks below. Inside, you can feel the history of the place. After many years of decay, the restoration finally brought back its charm, with stained glass, ornate details, and elegant halls. There are also exhibitions and multimedia installations that tell the story of the Casino and Constanța’s past, which makes the visit both cultural and emotional. That said, not everything is perfect yet. Some areas remain closed, and at times the schedule feels limited. The entrance fee can feel a bit high compared to how much of the building you can actually explore. Around the promenade there are still fences and signs of ongoing work. Overall though, this place is the symbol of Constanța. Even if you only admire it from outside, it’s unforgettable. The combination of architecture, sea views, and history make it a must-see. Come with the right expectations — this is no longer a gambling casino, but a beautifully restored cultural landmark that tells its own dramatic story.
Dani V — Google review
I visited the casino yesterday, on a weekday. It wasn't very crowded. It's worth every penny, it's been beautifully renovated. I was amazed by its beauty. What should be considered though would be a security check at the entrance, as is the case in every tourist attraction outside the country.
Melissa S — Google review
The Constanța Casino is a stunning Art Nouveau building with a rich history, situated on the Black Sea coast in Romania. I recently visited the Constanța Casino, and I was blown away by its intricate details and historical significance. This iconic building has been beautifully restored to its former glory, showcasing its stunning Art Nouveau design. Although it's not operational as a casino, the building still offers a glimpse into its glorious past. The Constanța Casino is a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you're an architecture buff, history enthusiast, or simply looking for a fascinating spot to explore, this casino is a must-visit destination.

The Great Mosque of Constanța

Sights & Landmarks
The Great Mosque of Constanța, also known as the Carol Mosque, is a significant religious and architectural site in Romania. Situated near other historical landmarks, this beautiful mosque was built between 1910 and 1913 at the initiative of King Carol. It replaced the former Mahmudiye Mosque from the Ottoman era and showcases a stunning blend of Byzantine, Islamic, and Ottoman architectural styles.
The Great Mosque of Constanța is a stunning and historic landmark. The interior is beautifully organized and exceptionally clean. Entry costs just 4 lei, and climbing the 149 steps to the top of the minaret (298 total, up and down) is well worth it. The panoramic views of Constanțan and the Black Sea are breathtaking — especially on a clear day. Be careful if it’s windy, though — it feels like your phone could fly away! Overall, it was a fun and memorable experience. I loved it.

A beautiful masque located in most famous area in constanta and it was built at 1912 by king carol. Its open for Muslim to pray inside and also any one can buy a ticket and go up till the top of minaret there is stunning view for the city and you can take alot of nice picture.
Moh T — Google review
We were able to visit the mosque and to climb the tower, for 6 lei each (adult price). Many steep stairs deliver the reward of great views.
David S — Google review
It is located in the the heart of beautiful city Constanta. During our river cruise we came here for walking tour. As we passed by this mosque we wanted to see it from inside but the doors were closed. It is also popularly known as Grand Mosque of Constanta. It was built by King carol I in 1912 for Turkish community. It was a beautiful piece of architecture.
Balkrishna S — Google review
The Great Mosque of Constanța, a historic landmark, blends Romanesque Revival, Byzantine, and Egyptian architectural styles. Commissioned by King Carol I in 1910, it's the largest mosque in Romania and a symbol of religious tolerance. Located near the city center, it's easily accessible and offers stunning city views from its minaret. Inside, visitors can admire the intricate details, the grand prayer hall, and the beautiful carpets. A must-visit for those interested in history and architecture.
Kenneth B — Google review
Good place to visit with or without kids, 150 steps till the top of the tower, nice view from therw.
Marina I — Google review
A beautiful landmark of the Old Constanta Town - with many memories from childhood and teenage years. It adds to the colorfulness of the city. A piece of history that everyone should visit - and go up the legendary tower.
Adrian P — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking! I am so happy I visited this mosque. It was not too busy and by the time I reached the top I found myself alone in the tower. This was wonderful because I could take my time and enjoy the views at leisure. The stairs are quite steep and it is difficult to move if there is someone going the opposite direction. Also in a bit of need of some renovation. Anyway, besides the point. Simply being able to enjoy the views of the sea, the port, and the city, is certainly worth it. Highly recommend it! Entrance is only 5 Ron.

The Art Museum in Constanta is a must-visit for art enthusiasts, showcasing the works of renowned Romanian artists from the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum's two buildings house an extensive collection, including pieces by Nicolae Grigorescu, Ioan Andreescu, Theodor Aman, and Stefan Luchian. Visitors can immerse themselves in over a hundred years of Romanian art history.
Very impressive collection of art by Romanian painters, coming here I didn’t expect it to be as good as it is. The stuff is amazing, very helpful and kind
Jakub W — Google review
A very pleasant experience visiting this museum. It's cozy, I can describe it like this. The exhibition of paintings by Romanian artists is decent and there were a lot of interesting things to see, I spent 2-3 hours looking at everything. The only disappointing thing was that it was empty, me and my mom were practically the only ones in the large halls who were visitors (maybe it's just that kind of day). As an artist, it's more satisfying to see museums filled and feel that they are popular. That's what I wish for this amazing museum.)
Din E — Google review
Fabulous art museum spread over four different floors with such a great variety of Romanian artists. I discovered a children’s art class which was a highlight! The children were painting a still life of plants and a kettle. There paintings were excellent and I was very impressed. Definitely budding artists in this painting class! Bravo!

Beautiful Romanian Art Museum! To visit absolutely if traveling to Constanța. One of the museum where women artist are present more than in many other museums.
Raluca D — Google review
Beautiful experience with wonderful not only old, and local, but also modern art! Great accessibility and organisation. Would definitely recommend a visit
Jacky — Google review
A good and diverse art collection, nicely organized. The staff was quite unfriendly, as they wanted to close early (we arrived two and a half hours before closing time; from the get go they told us the museum was closing with some 15 mins earlier than scheduled; while they still had 1 hour on the clock they started making unbefitting remarks about time).
Piri C — Google review
I was very impressed by the collection of Romanian artworks displayed in the museum, especially works of Grigorescu. There are also a lot of sculptures and the entire experience was more than beautiful, it exceeded all expectations. You can easily spend there 2 hours so totally recommend it when visiting Constanța. The staff there is also very kind and helpful.

Archaeological Park

Historical landmark
Archaeological Park Tomis in Constanta, Romania is a captivating site located along the picturesque Black Sea coast. It offers a glimpse into the ancient city of Tomis, founded by the Greeks in the 6th century BC. The park showcases Roman-era neighborhoods and excavated buildings dating back almost 2000 years. Visitors can freely explore this historical treasure and walk among the well-preserved ruins.
Free to enter as you wish. Early Christian site from the Roman Empire. Excevated during an earlier age - enjoy while it lasts in this form. It's a PARK - meaning you can walk into it and be amongst the nearly 2000 year old ruins. Walk on stones that people walked on back then. Admittedly, I've never been to Pompeii. And I'm sure that in comparison this is an impoverished distant cousin's nephew's uncle. And yes, I did notice the 1970's cement and the fact that a few of the more interesting bits seemed to have been placed there. Possibly from the same site, possibly from elsewhere. You can see similar "bits" in the Museum of National History" in Bucharest. Not exposed to the elements. I must admit to having - very lightly - touched a wall once or twice. Being overwhelmed by what I can only describe as a carthatic experience. Please don't steal stuff or use it as a duping site for trash.
Pierre D — Google review
The Archaeological Park in Constanța offers a glimpse into the ancient city of Tomis. Ruins of Roman walls and towers, alongside artifacts, are scattered throughout a leafy green space. It's a peaceful spot in the city center, close to other attractions like the Constanța Casino and the Museum of National History and Archaeology. While small, it's a worthwhile stop for history buffs.

(Translated by Google) Just a few steps from the moving and blue expanse, in an area with a dreamy landscape, especially on clear days, when the Black Sea is calm, right next to the seaward wall of the Archbishop's Cathedral "Holy Apostles Peter and Paul", the passerby will he saw a fragment of an ancient quarter of the Tomis Fortress. This space has a fabulous story, because it attests, through material evidence, the living testimony of man's presence on this earth, proving the existence of the Tomis Fortress in the 6th century BC. B.C., traces of habitation being present here long before this date. On the occasion of the four excavation campaigns that took place in this perimeter between 1971 and 1974, by specialists of the Constanta National History and Archeology Museum, no less than 12 archaeological levels were discovered here. The archaeological complex in the Archbishop's Cathedral Park reproduces a part of a district of the ancient city of Tomis from the Roman era from the 4th - 6th centuries, the traces of houses and streets with remnants of pavements and fragments of sewers being visible.

Situated at the intersection of Tomis and Ferdinand avenues in downtown, The Museum of Romanian Navy is a significant institution showcasing the history of the Romanian navy. Housed in a building with historical significance as Constanta's first high school, it holds collections displaying the evolution of navigation vessels from ancient sailing boats to modern ships, including weaponry and tools used during both world wars.
Expansive and comprehensive museum covering the history of both the Romanian Navy and Merchant Navy. Lots of exhibits and explanatory plaques, although most text is limited to Romanian. Very cheap entry cost. Recommended!

10.9.2024 rather compact. 10 RON admission with extra 25(!!)for non prof fotos. Clean and in order, still from socialist concept. Some update and more information in english about navies role in 77/78,WW1 and 2 would be helpful...

Nice museum explaining the naval history of Romania through treasures, maps, various objects and many ship replica models. I appreciated the effort to translate the descriptions in french but as a side note, there are so many mistakes it doesn't look serious... One should review those, any student in Constanța could do the job
Olivier C — Google review
All of my expectations have been more than met. Easily one of the best museums I've had the pleasure of visiting. Truly one of the best spots to visit in Constanta, would love to visit again!
Pantelimon A — Google review
Overall, I do recommend this Romanian Naval Museum. However, there are some cons, along with the pros. Pros: - Quality displays representing the history of the Romanian Navy - Decently priced entry - Open on Sunday Cons: - You must pay an extra $5 if you want to take photos (cell phone or otherwise) - Staff aren’t especially friendly - The displays aren’t well labeled - Quite warm inside, perhaps it was due to the humidifiers? Unsure. But bring some water - Nothing interactive, so not much fun for the under 15 crowd
Nataliia B — Google review
Many scaled ship models and some real size ones, many objects used in navigation, uniforms and costumes, maps, objects discovered under the sea or in ports, from different centuries. The temporary expo of scaled ship model collections, miniatures and dioramas was amazing. Outside expo displays real 20th century ships and ship components. All exhibits are described in Romanian, English and French. Free entrance on Marine's day (August 15th) and free guided tour by volunteers of the Romanian Scouts.

Situated at the intersection of Tomis and Ferdinand avenues in downtown, the Museum of Folk Art is a significant institution showcasing traditional art and architecture. Housed in a historic 19th-century building that was once Constanta's first high school, it holds an impressive collection of Dobrogea's rich folk heritage, including ceramics, wood and glass icons, traditional costumes, and ornaments.
During our river cruise, we came here during our walking tour. This historic building is located right at the beginning of pedestrian street. Since 1975 it has officially become the Museum of Folk Art. There are thousands of artefacts, paintings, depicting folk culture of Romanian culture. The colorful folk clothing of both gender are absolutely marvelous. There is also a souvenir shop on the ground floor.

Folk Art museum is located in a beautiful and spacious building. With a rich collection of icons, images, painted eggs and great many traditional dresses. Embroidered and spinned towels. Very interesting. And you can buy unforgettable souveneers. Handmade. And painted eggs too.
Tanya K — Google review
You can see the whole thing in probably 30 minutes. The garments are really nice. The downside the that the staff follows you around like you are gonna steal something. There aren't detailed placards describing what you are looking at. There are QR codes you can scan for a bit more information but English ones are only on about 1/3 of the displays and the text is pretty poor. Still, if you just want to see some really nice clothes and other items, this museum is worth it for the relatively low cost.
David R — Google review
If you want to indulge in a visual history lesson of the Romanian people, which has been woven for centuries, by means of the traditional attire for each Romanian region, then look no further. Pleasant to the eye, each section has its own unique features (starting from the traditional attire and household elements, and finishing off with tapestries and other exhibits). The only downside, however, is the overpriced merchandise.
Alice S — Google review
No English descriptions, if any they were very vague as “women’s clothing”. The museum did not offer much information about the origins of the exhibits. The lady who gave us the tickets looked very rude. There was a water dispenser and when my wife drank water she told use we were not allowed to walk with the cup. It would have been interesting to read about the meaning of certain clothing designs and some conclusions about what some exhibits have in common.

Situated in the historical center of Constanta, Romania, The Roman Mosaic is a must-see attraction for history and art lovers. This ancient mosaic, dating back to the 4th century BC, is one of the world's largest preserved mosaics. Its captivating design and historical significance make it a top destination for visitors exploring the city's rich cultural heritage.
Great place to be, if you love ancient history, art, roman period and ancient Rome design. Worth getting there. A makeover? Perhaps they need, but with such cheap tickets and no donations it is very hard to think on a make-over. Keep up the good work.

A big disappointment. While in Constanta I planned to visit this museum especially, but it's literally falling apart, the condition is heartbreaking. It seems forgotten. I don't know the reason why no money spent on improving the museum as it is part of the Romanian history. In addition to this, the museum is actually smaller than expected. 5 minutes inside the building is enough. If you are interested in mosaics, visit Gaziantep (Turkey) Zeugma museum. This is how a museum should be, with a huge exposition of mosaics.
L G — Google review
It is a shame! Firstly, for structural aspects, the current state of building and mosaic itself is degraded. It was an achievement when it was discovered and arranged this way, but now even if the country is richer, there is no care for it. The mosaic urgently needs restoration and protection, colours are lost, it is also endangered. We have seen several mosaics, some out in open air were better maintained than this one. Secondly, there is dirt in the building, there is broken glass at the doors, the information is minimal and almost useless, so leaving aside structural investments, not even minimal things are done to make this more interesting. External wall fell down and was just left where it happened, no one cares. The local administration does not take care of the thermal baths and other sites located below either. Are there people working as historians and curators in this institution and county, what do they feel about it?...
SVC — Google review
The mosaic itself is nice but its not worth the visit. The whole building is falling apart. It was not maintained since it was built. The mosaic also needs maintenance. If they don't do something soon it's going to get destroyed as well.

An absolute disgrace the total disregard for this beautiful piece of mozaic! There is absolutely no excuse for the filthy state of the place. Nobody cares. Disgrace, the state is in.. Such a shame.
Raluca R — Google review
Definitely should be visited but the facility can be improved a lot, the stairs are quite steep and there's no facilities or elevators for disabled people. The lady from the entrance was very kind. There can be added more informational panels and with more images and even digital experiences. 5 stars for the history but 1 star for the setup and experience, definitely too expensive. It is great to see where other people spent their time thousands years ago.
Catalin P — Google review
This is a quite spectacular Roman building and mosaic in the old town area of Constanta. Sadly, just like the National History Museum that it is part of and which is located next door, it is sadly neglected and uninspired as a museum. Little is made of the long history of the city, of its cultural and historic significance, And it’s a real pity. I would love to see this exhibit a bit modernized and more loved. There is zero advertising for this interesting exhibit in the city, if you do not know what you’re looking for you can barely figure out that it’s there.

The Dolphinarium of Constanța is a must-visit attraction for visitors of all ages. It is one of the largest dolphinariums in Europe and offers an unforgettable experience by the picturesque shores of the Black Sea. The complex includes dolphin and sea lion shows, as well as interactions with penguins and exotic birds. Inaugurated in 1972, it is the first dolphinarium in South-Eastern Europe.
Had the best experience seeing the dolphins. Been visiting with the family and we stopped for a marvellous show. Kids enjoyed a lot the show. I suggest to buy the tickets online together with the parking option so you won't get disappointed that you can't get inside in the parking lot. If you're coming without car you can buy tickets from the ticket office and the queues aren't so big. Anyway it is must see if your around the area.

Forget Disneyland, the Dolphinarium of Constanta is the happiest place on earth! 😄 The show itself can be described as 25 minutes of pure joy. The 5 dolphins are magnificent and the bond that they share with their trainers is spectacular. Music, flawless tricks, we found the experience to be magical. We stayed in the first row and the perception on the show is unique. I highly recommend trying it (yes, you will get splashed. But that’s part of the fun, right?)

Horrible conditions – do not support this place! We visited this park with our daughter and were absolutely shocked by what we saw. The animals are kept in catastrophic conditions. In some enclosures, there were even dead animals (guinea pigs). Many animals don’t have enough food, and in some cases, they were being fed completely inappropriate things. For example, we saw deer being given bananas – something that is absolutely unsuitable for their diet as ruminants. Even more shocking: the cattle standing in one of the fields had no food at all, although as ruminants, they absolutely depend on constant access to proper roughage like hay or grass. Nothing about this place is species-appropriate or humane. There is trash everywhere, the entire area is dirty, neglected, and completely unacceptable. Some animals don’t even have shade. We deeply regret supporting this place by paying for admission. The only thing we can do now is warn others not to visit. Please do not support this kind of animal cruelty.

It was an exceptional experience, and I highly recommend visiting this place. You can enjoy an amazing dolphin show and explore a wonderful reserve filled with cute animals. Onsite parking is available, and there’s even a McDonald’s right near the entrance if you’d like something to eat. I had a really great time there!

We visit there twice in 2 different years, it's always amazing to see the dolfin show , and just to rest after visiting the zoo and after being in the zoo area in the summer that the weather was so hot. Nice place with normal price , the little thave a lot of fun and we spend together half day.in the second time the girls want to visit again the dolfin show was almost the same (after 2 years) but everyone just have fun.

2025/09 performance performed by dolphins and their trainers. i loved those (bur not only considering exited screams) when dolphins did the tricks without any equipment - just animal in action, as the top part could be without any doubts tagged trainers and dolphins interactions - swimming, jumping, riding together 👏👏👏 the show last about half an hours, at the end you could have a picture for fee 20lei wit dolphin touching your hand. as bonus, there is a small scuba diving exibition in the foyer with focus on romanian divers. tip: if you want to literally feel the show, chose the seats close to the pool 😉 parking: yes, paid; or street parking paid as well, but could be an issue to find a spot looks like very soon an extention of the facility will be completed, hopefully with something interisting for visitors as well. toilets: yes food&beverages: not in the dolphinaroum building, and did not see any kiosk or bistro around cashless: yes

During my recent visit with my family, I found the establishment to be a suitable entertainment venue for both children and adults. However, please note that outside food is prohibited, and strollers must be left at the entrance, requiring parents to carry infants.
K.T — Google review
The dolphins show was amazing. Worth the money. Try to get in early to get seats closer to the pool...but you can see everything from the last row as well. Finding the official parking is a lottle bit hard...but that was also google.maps fault. The toilets are not up the standards...

Reyna

Restaurant
Reyna is a popular restaurant in Constanta, Romania, with two locations - one in Tomis Marina and another near Mamaia. The Tomis Marina location offers beautiful views of the sea and the Constanta skyline. While prices are on the higher side due to its prime tourist location, the food is excellent with a wide variety of options including seafood, traditional Romanian dishes, and international cuisine. The restaurant's specialty is the Skewers for two, presented in an appealing manner.
You want to come after a long walk in old time or after beach. Come To Reyna so beautiful place and view and the Chocolate Fondant was super delicious. And affordable prices even for fish menus.
Jamil Y — Google review
We went in a group of 10 people. The seafood and fish was fresh and tasty. We had mussels in wine sauce, mussels in Provence sauce, fried carp, pasta carbonara and risotto. We drank wine, beer and some cocktails. The service was extremely good, fast and attentive even though the restaurant was full and some clients were giving a hard time to the staff. We had an issue with one of the dishes and it was promtly solved by the staff. I recommend eating seafood here when you visit Constanta.

Unfortunately we didn't get one of the tables with sea view, we got one of the tables with kitchen view and smell... The waiter - probably overworked - came quite hard. He forgot to bring a drink and sent another waiter "with less experience" (probably it was his first day because he didn't know how to use the beer opener and after we tried to explain to him how it works he was also arrogant, of course that he spilled beer on the table...). But the food... Delicious... 👌

Staff was so welcoming and found us a table to suit us very fast. The food was amazing. Well done, Chef 👨‍🍳 keep up the hard work, and I hope to see you again soon

We had 2 platou of seafood and it was amazingly fresh and tasty! Very nice and fast service. Amazing view from here! Not to forget about the bere draught is excelent!

When an appetite-opening view meets an appetite-satisfying food! It was fantastic. The food was world-class! Flavourful and fresh fish! Their Ginger lemonade did not only come at decent size for you to drinking throughout instead of finishing it quickly, but also refreshing and perfect. Their staff and service were always on the move, quick but slick, fast but efficient and guess what? They do all of it with a smile! Big up Stefan & Alex! He recommended good food, was prompt and super friendly! The only thing is that expect to wait 25-35 minutes for your food but can you blame them? I mean the volume of customers is off the charts, rightfully so.. (AMazing food). Also everything tasted freshly prepared so yea, if I have to wait and eat fresh food, by all means, why rush 😂🎉😙! Well done Reyna! I’ll see you very soon cuz.. u bet I’m returning

Pizzico

Restaurant
Pizzico is a great place to eat Italian food. The view of Ovidiu Square is amazing, and the staff are very friendly and professional. The food is especially good - especially the Louisiana style ribs and vegan burrito. The price/quantity ratio isn't great, but it's worth it for the delicious food.
This is a very nice restaurant with good food. I have found the restaurant last year in December and revisited this March. I have been here several times so I can confirm that they are doing a nice job! ✅ I recommend also the Sushi menu that has plenty of options. The staff is nice and ready to help. 🙏🫶
FreeMind M — Google review
Excellent service and delicious food made Pizzico worth the trip. The Pork Blade Steak, Garlic Parmesan Fries, and Mushroom Sauce were amazing. While the Lava Cake wasn't that great, I'm eager to return and try other items. Highly recommended.
A J — Google review
Comes highly recommended, but based on my experience it's highly overrated. We didn't want pizza, which given the name was a mistake. This is a pizzeria that does other food, rather than a restaurant that does pizza. Food quality was ok for a bistro / gastro pub. Prices, however, were closer to fine-dine, sadly, none of the dishes earned their cost. Atmosphere was really bad, looking one direction there's a towering unfinished building that's an eyesore. The other a restaurant changing facade billboards and doing some heavy drilling. Opposite it's the Archeological Museum, that's now derelict. Wouldn't go again, wouldn't recommend. If forced to go again I'd get pizza and not venture in the rest of the menu.
Petrut I — Google review
The food is delicious and Pizzico serves a variety of dishes that you can’t find in other places. I really like the atmosphere, the service is excellent. The place is very swish and although they have tv’s showing tennis or football or other sport events, they blend well.
Catalin R — Google review
The service here is unbelievably bad, food is lovely though and so is the location. It’s just a shame about the staff, totally inadequate, you have to chase them for everything and have to wait and then ask again, and then when you pay they asked me how much tip you want to give someone asked before I even have a chance to offer is unacceptable. They are better restaurants in this area. Wholly advise you go to them.
Rob V — Google review
I have had dinner her 7 times with my wife. Each time we have ordered something different . Never left this place unhappy.Great food. For place years back started asa pizzeria and expanded. To answer some review that I read that are negative. If you pay by card they will ask the tip amount to input în machine. You opt for 0% to what ever your heart pleases… that the way there machine and others work. Service during the day little very thin staff is very low. Compared to evening. I’ve always been in the evenings. Also when in Eastern Europe smiling is not there forte don’t take offensive

Thus is a lovely clean restaurant, the staff were very friendly and they had a very good choice of local food and a sushi menu also.

Bacaro

Mentioned on
+1 other list

Restaurant
Bacaro is a pleasant eatery situated by the harbor, offering delectable seafood and desserts. The squid, filled with an assortment of seafood, presents an enjoyable combination of textures and flavors without any overwhelming taste. The mussels cooked in white wine and garlic also deliver a satisfying experience in terms of both texture and flavor. The desserts at Bacaro are particularly delightful; their tiramisu is airy and light, while the caramel nougat boasts a rich flavor enhanced by mixed nuts.
Food awesome! No problem to order half of the portion - this dish was dedicated for 2pax. Realy tasty and served in second :) Nice atmosphere I realy enjoyed!

Great food with very nice staff. The Hugo was awesome and the sea view was amazing.
Varadi A — Google review
Stopped by this place to check it out and see how much it resembles the actual world renowned Italian restaurant "Bacaro." We decided to give it a try since it was busy. We were approached by a server that automatically shut us off and told us all the tables on the water are reserved. As we were walking out it seemed like the manager followed us and ushered us to a table on the water next door which we later found out it was also an expansion to the restaurant. Not going to lie. I'm not a big fan of this musical chair nonsense. Moving on, the manager situated us and got us going and set us up with a new server that was delightful to have. The food is okay. It is very redundant. I ordered three dishes that had the same flavor. You don't have to change the entire dish. Just subtle spice differences or ingredients can just do the trick. The fish itself was fresh and properly made. The shrimp needs to be cleaned.

The food was so tasty and the service was on point .
Liviu29 — Google review
Being a huge fish fan, I totally recommend this place for its top-notch fish quality and freshness. My favorite was definitely the Fish Soup, served with Polenta, garlic sauce, and 🌶️. The staff is super friendly and always happy to help out with any questions. And hey, you even get a sweet view of the harbor as a bonus!
Lucia M — Google review
This was a nice restaurant along the harbor with some very good tasting seafood and desert. The squid stuffed with seafood had a great texture and flavor, never feeling overwhelmed by any one flavor. The mussels in white wine and garlic were good as well. Each mussel was good in texture and flavor. Their desserts were fantastic, the tiramisu was light and fluffy, which we enjoyed while the caramel nougat was quite flavorful with nuts mixed in. It was pretty busy so we did wait a while for our food, but it was worth the wait for us. Definitely try this restaurant if you have a couple of hours to relax.
ベナクリス — Google review
I visited this restaurant with certain expectations, given its pleasant location in the port and the high rating, but unfortunately it turned out to be a major disappointment. The food was far below acceptable standards: it lacked flavor, looked unappetizing, and they used some frozen ingredients (such as frozen fries) + the “garlic” was a cheap sauce from the tube, bought from the supermarket, not freshly made, with actual garlic. You would expect from a decent restaurant to have some common sense regarding the quality of their products. Nothing about the dishes gave the impression of being freshly or healthily prepared, the meat had an strange texture and it tasted like it has been cooked in a burnt oil that was used for way too many cooking sessions. Overall, the experience was unsatisfying and concerning. Instead of enjoying the meal, I was left hoping I won’t have digestive issues afterward. A total disappointment and certainly not a place I would recommend.

Guests can indulge in a refined menu that artfully blends Italian specialties with Mediterranean flavors, all while enjoying attentive service from the friendly staff. Le Premier is truly the number one fine dining restaurant in Constanța! I had an amazing evening here with family and friends. We enjoyed delicious sushi paired with a glass of wine, and everything was absolutely perfect. The menu offers a fantastic variety — from fresh seafood to juicy steaks — all prepared and presented at the highest level. The service is five stars, with staff that are professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere and ambiance make the whole experience even more special — elegant, relaxing, and perfect for both intimate dinners and gatherings with friends. Highly recommend Le Premier if you’re looking for the best dining experience in town!

I've been here before, but this visit dissatisfied me. My family and I were waiting for the food for 2 and a half hours. Although the restaurant was not busy and the groups of people, who came in later than we did, received their orders much faster. When the food came it was just disappointing. Meals were cold and tasted bland. The last time i visited, i reserved a table on the terrace with the sea view, instead they gave me a table with no view and not on terrace. I must admit, the food was much nicer before. This time it was just incredibly bad.

Impeccable services (the stuff was present all over, carefully to each detail). Tasteful decorations, beautiful ambient. The food: couldn't ask for more. The view... Hooked! Thank you, Le Premier! ♥ Be sure I'll be back! :)

This is not a restaurant, but a way to actually enjoy life. The people, the place, the music, THE FOOD. The world is full of great restaurants, but so few are an experience in itself. We came here for our 8th anniversary and it was.. beyond everything. Absolutely impressed with the staff, the care, the flavors and the view. Everyone deserves to eat here at least once - it's a gift to yourself, and one of the best. Thank you so much to everyone who works here and does their best to make this place a little piece of heaven 💙 You are seen and appreciated ✨ 1000/10 stars, we'll come back ☀️ P.S. Try the cherry ice cream. You'll thank me.

This is for the restaurant. I understanding that waiting is a part of eating out, but today we waited 20 minutes after sitting for a waiter to come. Still okay, but then we waited 1 hour for the food, which was missing one dish and was not served in the order we asked for. Still okay ... But then the waiter put a 10% tip on the bill and said he could not take it off anymore... Sorry - what am I paying the service fee for? A service that is not really good? Mediocore food? Long waiting times! It is a very nice place and I am sure it was not the waiter's fault, but today was just not a good experience. I feel somewhat cheated and disapointed... No recommendation!

I ate at the restaurant and it was really good! The service was professional, the staff polite and prompt, I liked the view very much, on a summer day it is perfect, the food was unexpectedly good, like really good. I will certainly come back!

I only visited the restaurant. It's probably the classiest place to eat seafood and japanese cuisine. Of course there is also european food, steak, pizza etc. I feasted on tempura and seafood and was impressed. The location is unique: up on a small hill overviewing the beach and the sea. The service is very good. Definitely a place to visit in Constanta.

Conveniently located on Strada Mircea cel Batran nr. 103, Toscana Restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring classic Italian delicacies infused with contemporary twists. Their range of pasta options is particularly impressive, prepared with fresh local ingredients.
Very good lasagna and pasta. Just a little bit more creamy and carbonara would be perfect. Good quality of ingredients 👍 Update after the second visit. I started wondering if this is not the best place to eat a good pasta in Constanta!!! Try pesto pasta ...

Food was great, they have a lot of options and the portions are big. Only downside for me was the main section is not smoking free so you will need to sit at a table in the other sections where electronics cigarettes are allowed.
Cenk S — Google review
One of my favorite places in Constanța when I’m craving Italian food. I’ve been here a few times and it’s always a good experience. The pasta is super tasty and portions are generous. I’ve had the tuna tartar and lasagna this time — both were really good. The staff is friendly and the place has a cozy vibe. In the summer, the terrace is such a nice spot to relax and enjoy dinner. Definitely recommend if you’re into Italian food and want something consistent and well made.
О А — Google review
The location is nice and the terrace spacious. We ordered 2 servings of pasta and lemonade. The pasta was good, the portions are large, but the lemonades were not good and were served in small glasses similar to the plastic ones you get at the pool.
Adrian C — Google review
Very Nice spot! The food is great, i order a steak rare and it was perfectly cooked even the house wine is good. The only thing is the service we said no for bread and focaccia but the waiter put pizza slices on the table without asking and we did not touch it and got charged for it and the tips were added without asking.. so better check your invoice before paying
Sandra P — Google review
Tasteful dishes (tortellini and carbonara pasta) but not the best desert!
Evangelos B — Google review
The food is very good, but if you are looking for good service this is not the place to go to. Nobody came to seat us in the first place, servers walked past us without giving us a menu for 15 minutes, and once they finally came to serve, they did not greet with sympathy but pure disinterest. I believe that how you are being treated in a restaurant is what truly leaves the taste in your mouth, and this wasn’t a good one

Located in Constanta, Irish Pub is a versatile establishment that serves as a bar, cocktail bar, pub, and restaurant. Its spacious setting features charming plant decorations and a lovely terrace with views of the Black Sea. The menu offers an array of breakfast options from sweet to savory, satisfying lunches and dinners suitable for both vegans and meat lovers. The interior exudes the classic ambiance of an Irish pub with dark wood paneling, a fireplace, and comfortable seating.
The food was very tasty and the staff helpful. The only thing that really surprised me was that the "Classic lemonade" was not at all classic. It was more of a lemon granita and it was not what I have in mind for a lemonade. It's good but at least someone should inform you before.

Very good authentic food with quite a selection of Traditional Romanian Cuisine - especially in the Fish department. Staples like Ciorba de Burta (Tripe Soup) and Zacusca (Eggplant Relish Spread) are present and if you had too much to drink the night before, you are sure to cure whatever ails you. Be sure to ask the waiter for the catch of the day! Note to owner: Please put out Water bowls for cats during summer.

I stopped by here to order a soft drink and rest on one of the outside tables. But I decided to order food when I entered the restaurant to use the restroom. The interior was extremely charming and the staff friendly. This was not an annoying tourist place where the owners want you to spend lots of money and keep pressing you to order additional items. There was not any push to order food, but I had been wanting to eat in a traditional Romanian restaurant. Even though this restaurant is in the heart of the old town centre, the prices were reasonable. There is some history provided in the menu, and at the back there are images of labels from the food ingredients used in the cooking. The menu has detailed descriptions in both Romanian and English, along with photos. I ordered sarmarle. It arrived after a time which indicated it had been freshly prepared to order. The food was substantial and delicious. I felt quite satisfactory full. The price was reasonable and the entire experience sitting at the outside seating watching the passers by and not being fussed over or bothered by the quiet and polite staff. I would definitely revisit again if time provides me with the opportunity and I would most definitely recommend to others.

What a gem! The food was absolutely amazing, huge portions, super tasty and well cooked. You can really feel the love in the kitchen. The staff were incredibly kind and made the whole experience even better. Everything felt authentic and local, not touristy at all. And for that quality and quantity, the price is more than fair. If you’re in Constanța and want to eat like a king without breaking the bank, this is the place. Cel mai bun restaurant din Constanța. 🇷🇴

Absolute ripoff. The food is not the worst. Without telling they charge a 30 lei (6 euro’s) fee for a few minutes of live music which is fine. But the restaurant charged me a whopping 66 lei (13,20 euros) per glass for a very average housewine (which I had specifically requested - a cheap house wine) without telling me in advance. When I objected after receiving the bill, the waitress told me this is their regular price. Tourist trap of the worst kind, to be avoided. There are many better and honest places in Constanta
Markos L — Google review
The food was very nice. There is a large selection and in every page of the menu it says that you might have to wait between 45 and 60 mins for your order, depending on how busy the restaurant is. The prices are ok, the staff is friendly and speaks english. The mici were the bomb...
Alexander V — Google review
Good tradicional Romanian food. The vibe is a bit strange with a lot of decorations that are from different styles. Prices are a bit high, but the portions are big, so it pays off. For example Papanasi can be easily shared between two people. -1 star for air fresheners - the restaurant should smell with food not with artificial scents.

In mid of old town, people walking by. Best Romanian Red wine, and local Polenta. People here are very nice and prices are very reasonable. Highly Recommended.

Good traditional Romanian restaurant. The food is good, the prices are decent. The place looks nice and the outside seating is wonderful, especially on a hot day. The staff and service is sometimes slow, even if the place is not crowded. They speak English (which is always a plus, especially in a tourist area) and they are helpful and quick with a recommendation. Overall, if they would solve their staff issue this would be a really nice place, especially since you can have a lot of great traditional dishes here.

A restaurant-café with a unique design that is worth trying at least because of its extraordinary location: at the beginning of the cliff towards the Constanta Casino building, also overlooking the sea port. The services are of high quality, the dishes served were tasty, the prices are relatively high, but in my opinion the quality-price ratio is ok. It deserves a try.

Highly enjoyable culinary delight. Really amazing from start to finish, attentive service and wonderful views completed the overall experience. Regarding the view, the best one is from the rooftop terrace, where you must get a reservation. There is a lovely view of the Constanta casino (too bad it is still in ruin), an amazing view to the sea and the waterfront promenade, the harbor. The view was complimented by amazingly fantastic food – tasty and with a beautiful plating. The plating was meant to enhance and complement the flavors of the creations, not distract from them. The staff was friendly, polite and attentive. The prices were very reasonable - medium compared to other places considering that the food is really flavorful and you get The View. Food was delivered fast at the table. We had the perch (biban), butterfish, seafood platter for one, burger and raspberry mojitos and lemonade. The flavors worked together beautifully. All the food was packed with aroma, dishes had a great consistency with very little to no oil, except for the seafood platter. Overall there was a nice, quiet atmosphere. They spaced tables out nicely. I'd imagine it's quite busier during high season or on weekends, but either way, we'll definitely be back! Highly recommended! We are already planning our next visit.

We had reservations at the Delphinarium at 15:00, we arrived at The View at 13:30 being concerned that we wouldn't make it on time for the dolphin performance, The View being rather crowded. We were served by Dan at the second table on the right from the front entry, he assured us that we will be served promptly and that's exactly what happened. By 13:47 - 13:50 we already had our order on the table. I've had a provensal soup with fish and sea food, the kids had pasta and pizza and my wife a Captain and Cola. All great especially the soup! I sent through Dan my regards and congrats to the chef for the soup and we've made a promise that we'll return precisely for that particular soup. So: great food, great service (nice to meet Dan), great View! 👍

We came here for the first time. The experience was outstanding, Food, taste, service... I can only recommend this place as one of the best choices in Constanta city center. The plates were big. All in one an experience we definitely will repeat.

That was a miracle finding this place. It made our day. So kind waiter left me get in and see if I'd like to stay because as vegetarian ones I need see if there are options firstly before seat to have it properly.

The food was super delicious, full of flavor, and everything was really clean. The service was excellent and the staff were super nice and friendly. Me and my family were so happy with our experience at this amazing restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Very nice place and location, you can see the sea from their restaurant. The hummus is simple amazing, I recommend it to everyone. Even though it is a bit overpriced the place has a very nice calm vibe so it kinda makes it out.

I never bother to review places i visit because they're either mediocre or bad, and id rather not say anything bad unless they give me diarrhea or something. But this place was so lovely... I was pleasantly surprised by everything. The restaurant is so pretty and clean and warm and homey. The person who assisted us was so nice and friendly and chill. Food was so tasty. Everything was great. If i visit Constanta again id absolutely come here again. ❤️

If you do not like crowded places to be sure you would like here. Here are quiet and beautiful interior. I was four times here it was almost nobody. Portions was huge. One time I ordered breakfast, and the omelet with homemade sausages was too specific for me to taste. Otherwise chicken and falafel are tasty.
Iuliia O — Google review
The Falafel as well as the bread and Baba Ganoush was fantastic. The service was great and, altough not labelled, there are many vegan and vegetarian options. The price is fine and even inside you have a great sea view! Our waiter was kind, fast and knew a lot about the food.

Restaurant
DasKino in Constanta offers a unique dining experience with its cinema-themed dishes and comfortable seating. The restaurant is known for its delicious food, including the broccoli souffle with Greek yogurt and the risotto daskino served with crispy bacon and mushrooms.
Ate here several times for each meal time. The food was delicious and well priced! Atmosphere was nice but needs better air conditioning. Staff was very attentive and welcoming! Especially, Madelina and bartender Marion!

Fantastic food as always, ordered for delivery today and must say the packaging was not up to your normal standards. The lid on the chicken borsch had come and fallen into the soup, the durability of the container seemed off as well. The presentation on the appetisers left room for improvement, as seen in the photo the various items became commingled. Again, great food but a disappointment in packaging.

Delicious food, great serving, nice atmosphere with ambient music. We really liked the fact that they don't turn up the volume and you can actualy talk and hear the person you're with. It's great that they have a parking space just outside the restaurant. Staff is very polite and careful with the needs of their clients. The food came quick and it tastes nice - very good for the price you pay. I really really really like the fact that as soon as you sit down the waiter comes with a bottle of water on the house.

We went there twice. Had lunch and breakfast both. The ambience and the food taste was awesome. We tried the Shakshuka, Pancakes, Chicken Salad, Prawn Salad, Pasta, Pinoochio pasta from Kids menu, juices were fresh and the Mediterranean salad. Huge shout out to Cristina, the star waitress who served us. She was extremely brilliant and thorough in recommending the dishes. The decor is aesthetic with a kids play area at the top. Parking spaces available Great vegetarian options

Holy smokes! This place is good! Started with the broccoli souffle served with Greek yogurt. An unexpected combination with a delightful result. Then the main course was the risotto daskino. They just brought risotto to a whole new level. The dish is served with crispy bacon and mushrooms. When mixed with the softness of the risotto, you get these layered textures that add depth of the savory flavors. The service was attentive, prompt and courteous. Bonus: The restaurant seats are super comfy.

Amazing place , delicious food, great staff Simply breathtaking ! Should be on anyone's bucketlist that visit Constanta. The location is amazing, designed for families with or without children . They have special zones just for teenagers , a gaming room that will make any game enthusiast want to stay for couple of minutes/hours (from age 5 to 80 :D). Interior Design: made with a movie-theme and has some great accessories, four huge murals that will make you admire them for way more minutes than your usual look at a wall painting. The longer you check them out the more details you will find. Food and menu: you will find a variety of dishes that will satisfy (from my opinion ) almost any food lover or enthusiast. I have tasted in couple of days most of the dishes and there is absolutely nothing I could complain. The staff: Super friendly and there for you at any minute. The services are vast and the waiters really know how to give you a recommendation if you are undecided on what would you eat or drink. One of my favorite places

Airport
The International Airport in Kogalniceanu just got a great upgrade and is ready to receive tourists from allover the world! New gates, new scanners, new checkin in and drop off bag systems, all brand new, Just get ready to pack your bags and fly away!

Worst "airport" I have been to. There is a temporary building that looks beyond awful, has a tiny duty free and a small coffee shop and overall lacks cleaning. The staff is nice however the "airport" cannot be called an airport. Waiting lounge is outside till they open the building. The smoking "lounge" looks worse than in a prison. There are not enough seats for all the people waiting. Qr codes do not work, technology is out of the question. All looks like a sad improvisation
Isabella — Google review
The airport or I don’t even know if I should call this airport is located 25 kms north of Constanta and it’s next to the US Military Base. The waiting area is “outside” lol. I thought it was a joke at first but it wasn’t. But the security was very friendly and knew that it wasn’t the best place. but they are renovating at the moment and soon they will have a pretty decent airport according to the workers there.
Eldar J — Google review
What an experience ... Never seen anything like it however once the airport is ready it has potential..I will start with the staff which are two extremes some are really nice and super helpful but some rude and lack any customer service skills..yes the airport is literally a small warehouse building as is the main part still in construction but once you are inside there is a shop( where you can buy duty-free items), a coffee place and it has Aircon which was a welcomed surprised( we were dreading the worst ) , is small room but comfy enough(Just).they should invest in speakers as was a bit disorganised when checking out people for embarking on the aeroplane...we will definitely come back as we like the black sea resorts and we don't need to travel to Bucharest anymore... Also if it helps we where able to get transfer to resorts by bolt(Uber) between 80/90 lei waiting only couple of minutes..there are taxis there as well when we arrived but we preferred bolt pay upfront you know where you are, transfer to constanta between 20/35 min depending of traffic...
ELENA D — Google review
They don't accept the ticket on your phone , you need to have it printed. The temporary airport is too small even for only one flight at the time , the smoking area is one room 1 m by 1 m .
Mihai M — Google review
It’s being rebuilt so there is a temporary building right now. However staff was really friendly and they still have a bar, duty free shop and smoking area
Bogdan S — Google review
The most ridiculus airport I've been in. Firstly airport shuttle dropped everyone near the highway!!! So we had to walk with lugages about 300 meters! When we arrived they dont allow us to enter the airport!?? I've been in my airports in the world but, for the first time I seen such a comedy! People comes early to check in, passport control, duty free shoppimg etc. Instead, you have to stand up for hours! Even no there no chair to sit down!
Kemal C — Google review
The airport is too small, and it's too cramp
