If you're looking for a delightful dining experience in Deva, the Grizzly Restaurant is a must-visit. This gem stands out not only for its delicious offerings but also for its commitment to catering to various dietary preferences, including vegan options. The owner is upfront about potential wait times, which adds to the transparency of your visit; however, you'll likely find that your food arrives much sooner than expected.

The food was very good. Actually we enjoyed all dishes (fried camembert, gnocchi, zander, cremsnit and the creme brulee). The staff was nice and the service quite rapid. A pleasant suprise overall.

We chose this place, because it's one of few restaurants in Deva that also serves vegan food. The owner fairly told us beforehand that we may be needing to wait up to 1h for food. Luckily, it was much shorter and the meals were delicious. The staff did everything to make our experience the best, the service was professional and excellent. We had chicken wings, crispy cauliflower and tomato & green onions salad, I highly recommend all of these meals. On top of that, they also have plant based milk here. Come one, come all, you won't be disappointed!

The food here is outstanding, made with fresh ingredients! The food presentation, professional and creative! The staff, friendly and welcoming! And the atmosphere, very pleasant! One small suggestion I would offer is, perhaps some light jazz/blues/funk alternating through the week with their tasteful dance/trance music. It's worth noting that the music doesn’t dominate. Overall an excellent place to dine!

The best restaurant in Romania we have been by now. Were 10 people - two couples with kids. Everything we tried was delicious and good looking. The place isn't cheap but it worth the price. The service was also superb. I recommend to try ribs - really really good. Highly recommended!

We spent two days in Deva and had dinner here both evenings because we were very satisfied with the food. The waitstaff were kind and very attentive. The portion sizes were just right, and even the pasta dishes were generous with the meat. Unique flavors and great combinations. We especially recommend the tomato soup and the seabass!

During our visit to Art Grill Bistro in Hațeg, we enjoyed a delicious and satisfying meal in a relaxed, cozy setting. The Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful, with crisp lettuce, tender grilled chicken, crunchy croutons, and just the right amount of dressing. It was light, yet filling — a great starter. The highlight of the meal was definitely the pork ribs. They were tender, juicy, and fell off the bone effortlessly. The glaze had a perfect balance of sweet and smoky, and the portion size was generous. Paired with a refreshing frappe and a creamy milkshake, the meal felt complete and indulgent. The staff was polite and attentive, and the service was quick without feeling rushed. The restaurant has a modern design, with a pleasant ambiance and clean, well-kept facilities. Located in the center of Hațeg, Art Grill Bistro is a great place for families, couples, or travelers looking for good food and a peaceful dining experience. We highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area — it offers quality dishes, friendly service, and a great vibe.

✴️ I think is the only restaurant placed in the central area in Hațeg that offers food on Sundays. ✅ There is a variety of different dishes you can choose tasty food. The serving is prompt, but in my opinion, more personal is needed. ❔ 🤔Although the food is tasty and the ambience is really nice and the music is perfect, the place is too crowded and you have to wait at the entrance a couple of minutes until they prepare the table for you. 👌I recommend this place and I will definitely visit it again when travelling through Hațeg. 🫶

Fantastic place with outstanding food. Great ambiance to accommodate even 7 persons. Our group ordered dedicated dishes and we were so surprised and amazed with the food that we sampled from each other and I have yet to find a restaurant where all foods tasted amazing. Oh and the goulash is out of this world.

I've been here twice within 4 days. Probably the best restaurant in town. The menu is exceptional in this area. A fantastic combination of traditional dishes and classic contemporary cuisine (with some brave takes like polenta burger - which I can recommend but only if you are feeling adventurous). Very good selection of vegetarian dishes, though I am not vegetarian myself. Service was very good. Meals are generally very tasty and perfectly seasoned. Waiting time was short. I am not very familiar with prices in Romania but I think it was a very good value.

It is a traditional restaurant with tasty food and wide portions. We enjoyed our lunch on the terrace. The food was tasty, but some of our meals were kind of salty (however, I eat quite salty and this wasn’t an inconvenient for me). The staff was polite and structured on categories - someone brought up the menus, someone took our order, while others brought the meals and clean the table. Recommended!

It is all about " sarmale / stuffed cabbage rolls" :-)). I wanted those and here I found it. Very good food, amazing , nice and fast staff. The decor is also very beautiful. Obviously, their food and drinks menu is very large, from pork and beef dishes to fish , pizza and pasta dishes. Tried an beautiful and tasty Rosè wine, refreshing and appropiate for a summer day ! Please try their traditional fire water drink " Palinko ", just amazing. Overall, an easy 5***** from me !

Food: Disappointing - The menu show some pictures, but the reality is not even close. The food is not bad, but we ordered a dish with pork and was 40% mashed potatoes, 40% pea pure and 20% meat. Service: The waiter was good and kind, but it’s impossible that 4 plates (3 the same) takes 50’ to come (with 40 guests in the restaurant and most of them already eating). As an extra, the desert took them 20’ to serve it (1 plate). The WORST part, is the fact that we were waiting for it, and the kitchen staff was talking around in the bar. This was so unprofessional and disrespectful. It took us 1h 50’ to eat 1 dish and 1 dessert. The atmosphere was good, pretty place and cozy environment. The price was more expensive than the average in Romania. Not recommended, but if you decide to go, take your time and enjoy the evening

We were a bit confused at the door, as you need to use the door to the left, not the one under the Rustic sign. Big terrace, it was very quiet on a Tuesday evening. Lots of choice for a good price. The food tasted good. Portions are quite filling. Everyone seemed to start off with soup with bread. 😀. We had the papanaşi dessert. For the Dutch among us, it tasted like 'oliebol', but the dough is made of cheese, and served with jam and cream. It is local and can recommend, it was a lot! Be aware of the mosquitoes when sitting near the bushes.

Food was cold inside after almost an hour of waiting. Family of 8 people came fifteen minutes after us and was served and finished before us. Maybe they were locals, but it was very frustrating. We ordered a simple lunch for 3 people one dish each. The garden would be nice if not for smoking neighbours (which seems to be common in Romania) and buffed music? from outside.

Liked it. The waiter guy was friendly. The food was really good and we were full at the end. The lemonade is made with real lemon. Atmosphere is 4 star because outside were a lot of little bugs (i guess ants) on the table.

Food was under fast-food grade. Mediocre is an understatement. Our eggplant salad was frozen with big chunks of ice in it. Changed it - came the say way. Potatoes looked like they were scraped from the bottom of a peasant’s cellar. Lemonade? Made out of syrup. Benedict eggs? Sauce was curdled and salmon smelled like it took its last breath in the 1800s.

Food looks good, tastes ok but it’s nothing to brag about. It’s your typical wanna be premium restaurant, with average cooks. The staff was friendly though and we enjoyed the closeness to the Castle. Prices were reasonable too. So instead of getting a cheap hot dog or junk food on your way out of the Castle, you cant try something better at Werk.

We seem to visit this restaurant every time we travel to Deva. In winter we go to the back of the courtyard to the inside restaurant where the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Loving the exhibited wine selection. The food is delicious and beautiful, the service is nice. Good food served with professionalism. The entrance is different because, in the left side, behind a glass wall, you can see the interior of the kitchen (see my pictures). The interior is quite standard, nothing exceptional, nothing wrong. However, atmosphere is pleasant. Coming back to menu, there are all usual Italian food plus some international gourmet dishes. All food we ordered was tasty and good looking. Not very expensive... Good choice if you decide to have dinner here.

The food is delicious, and the plating is well done. The service is very professional and caring. They had an entire menu for wines only, but unfortunately I was the driver. For sure I will eat there next time I'll be in Deva!

The cheesecake, despite being good, it felt quite cheap - grated biscuits with mousse; definitely not worth 25.90 RON. Location: it was slightly cold. The men's cubicle is not usable as the door cannot be locked and there is only cold water at the sink. Not good enough, especially for a 'premium' business.

We had dinner here on a Tuesday evening, we didn't have a table reserved but luckily they were able to secure one for us. The service was polite, and the food was the most delicious in all of Romania. The corned beef was cooked to perfection, the burger was amazing and the dessert was brilliant. It's a bit expensive, but I can only recommend it to everyone. A very nice view of Deva Castle.

Must be one of the best places in Hunedoara. We had dinner here after visiting the castle. The soups and mains were both plenty and delicious and were served with fresh bread. The orange-lemonade is also a must.

After HALF AN HOUR they arrived and they weren't even comparable to the ones in the photos - also some of the ingredients were even different from what is listed on the menu. Delicious food and a cool garden atmosphere! The food is very tasty and all home made. We had several main courses during few days (tochitura, snitzel, pizza, salad, tigaie) and desert (clatita ana lugojana) and all were sooo delicious The lemonade is made with natural ingredients and the one with pine syrup is the best! The serving is fast and the waitresses are sociable and polite, so they deserve a nice tip. The ambient is within a green and relaxing garden The prices are accessible and the portions are generous They have a cute black cat around that you can feed if you love cats! ;)

Pleasantly surprised! A quaint spot fairly close to the city center serving hearty food, just like my mamma used to make. In spite of the somewhat slow service, the food was worth the wait. The soups were honestly some of the best we've tasted, honoring some of Romania's most popular dishes. 10/10 would recommend.

Pizzeria Casa Rustica has truly become a highlight of my two-week adventure! Unlike other places where waiting for a salad feels like an eternity, here, everything arrives promptly and together. The gyros are a delightful treat, and the food is simply outstanding. Even with a large group of 21, the service remained efficient and attentive. I savored the pork knuckle and chicken gyro meat while my friends indulged in delicious papanasi and pizzas that were generously portioned yet affordable.

This has been the best place we’ve visited during our entire two-week stay! Normally, when I ask for a salad at other places, it takes them an hour to bring it out. By the time my food finally arrives, my partner and his grandpa have already finished their starter and main course — it’s so frustrating. But here, everything was different. I was happy to find they serve gyros, which I really enjoy. Even better, all of our meals were served at the exact same time, and the food was absolutely amazing — just what we needed.
