Steak house
Restaurant
Gurkan Şef Steakhouse in Mecca is a must-visit for steak enthusiasts and food lovers alike. This charming eatery offers a delightful blend of succulent steaks and authentic Turkish cuisine, all served in an inviting atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. Guests rave about the exceptional service provided by staff members like Muhammad Forzan, whose warm hospitality leaves a lasting impression.
Absolutely incredible dining experience at Gurkan Steakhouse in Mecca! We ordered the tenderloin and the dry-aged porterhouse, both cooked medium — and they came out perfectly. Every bite was tender, juicy, and melted in our mouths. The food was not only cooked to perfection, but beautifully presented and full of flavor. To top it off, the staff surprised us with complimentary fresh fruits, desserts, and coffee which was a thoughtful and generous touch. The service, ambiance, and quality of food all exceeded our expectations. If you’re in Mecca and want an unforgettable steak dinner, this place is a must-visit! Server: Mohammad Lebnani

We visited this beautiful restaurant for the second time today, and once again everything was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, the service was outstanding, and the staff made us feel truly welcome. I had the Lokum, the Gürkan Şef Special Salad, and Turkish tea, followed by a lovely fresh fruit platter. Every dish was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic flavor. From start to finish, it was a wonderful dining experience. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon and highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates great food, great service, and a beautiful setting.

Gurkan Şef Steakhouse: Exceptional Service and Atmosphere (8/10) Gurkan Şef Steakhouse is truly a destination for a special dining experience. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful—a Turkish-style steakhouse that’s gorgeously decorated. The aesthetic is enhanced by the display of aged meat hanging in glass wardrobes, which immediately sets the scene for a specialty meal. My family and I visited in the evening, and it was a dining experience never to be forgotten. While I would rate the meal itself as good, the absolute highlight of the evening was the staff and waiters. They were incredibly attentive, joyful, and professional, constantly checking in to ensure our family had everything we needed. Their exceptional service truly elevates the entire visit. The restaurant is also very family-friendly. It was spotlessly clean inside and had a great facility—a dedicated children's playing area—which was a huge bonus for my nephew. Overall, I give this place an 8 out of 10. It is slightly on the pricier side, but given the stunning ambiance and the high level of service, it feels justified. If you are in the area and looking to enjoy a specialty in steak or cuts of meat, I highly recommend visiting this place at least once.

One of the finest and most delicious restaurants in Makkah — no review could truly do it justice. The food was exceptional, everything tasted perfect. Special thanks to our server, Farzan, who was extremely professional, kind, and attentive. He even surprised us with a complimentary plate of assorted fruits from the restaurant. Highly recommended!

The restaurant provides outdoor seating and private family spaces for a comfortable dining experience. Known for its delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets as well as à la carte options featuring Middle Eastern flavors, it stands out for its mesmerizing views of the Holy Kaaba.
Alhamdulillah food was excellent and fairly priced. A large variety of delicacies was served for guests. The Manager Abu Saif was friendly and open to positive feedbacks. We even requested staff to make special kadak chai for us, and they obliged. And the chai was awesome. Highly recommended place to come especially for those far away from their homeland.

Not bad at 75 SAR per person wabba rice with huge pieces of meat god knows what it is camel or goat but it’s tasty . Chicken a bit dry but try the kedgeree rice with fish that’s very tasty Arabic food in the clock tower in Mecca 🕋 who’d a thought it

Bad experience overrated restaurant with low service, and not tasty food and t all for the price, also the outside suiting is covered not like they show in the pictures, but thanks to the Arabs of the restaurant they welcome you well the rest of the staff like the waiters they don’t know anything about hospitality and feels like they are forced to work, the only thing that they need at least to smile to the guests
Hamza F — Google review
Al Shurfa restaurant is located in P3 of Zamzam tower... Which offer Breakfast, Lunch,Dinner.. They offer variety of Arabian foods which not spicy at all.. Disappointed on Mindhi as spices didnt breakthrough the meat.. Lamb, Kebabs were good, Rice is ok..Salads were different.. Specially recommend Coleslaw which was very good... As for fish Salmon was top notch on taste... Totally disappointed on dessert... There's a wide way for upgrading sweets and cakes which lacks alot... Lastly its a cozy environment place as its very close to Haram Sharif... Enjoy food with family and friends..
John T — Google review
We had the open buffet breakfast several times in this place. It’s very convenient near the Haram, offers a family friendly atmosphere and a good selection of food for a good price.

Delicious food, excellent service Masha Allah I was surprised there was no review about this place the food was amazing. Staff was very nice and welcoming I was really tired of the fast food during my Umrah stay in Mecca . When I came , I thought that I will find all the services are excellent . I found the following: 1. The tea ( adani) took almost 25 minutes to get . I finished my apple pie before I got the tea. 2. There is no number to reserve your table , you have to wait more time in your car to get a table 3. The family section is very small . Less than 10 tables inside 4. The food quantity is very little ( ordered shakshoka - شكشوكه بالجبن ) , I can say it was a sample - see the photo attached Area of improvement are many that the owner to handle Regards

Relish JOY OF TASTE is a Lebanese restaurant in Makkah that offers traditional kebab and rice dishes, as well as handmade desserts. The restaurant has a beautiful interior design, and all the plates ordered are delicious. The ordering process is automated, so you don't have to wait for a waiter to take your orders. I would definitely visit Relish JOY OF TASTE again, and try other orders.
Amazing spot the food was very tasty came back twice within a week everything was fresh and perfect the juice was also fresh and tasty prices were good for the food and service provided also a big plus the restaurant is spacious with not only one floor so it’s a great place for group dining 💯 recommend

Very nice place and Match . Our order was 3 classic Matchas . friendly staff.Jay, Ernen, Orlando .. i will definitely be back again
Mohammed A — Google review
What a place and what an ambiance. The food and the service quality is just spot on. Pricing is good compared to other places of similar outlook. The QR codes on tables for ordering and payment is quite fancy, but may not be for everyone.
Adnan R — Google review
For appetizers, I had a bowl of cream soup with chicken and mushrooms, and their highly recommended Rocca strawberry salad and Relish fattoush. For the main course, I had their Lebanese kofta kebabs, grilled chicken kebabs and spaghetti bolognese. Kebabs were served with some fries, a pita, lebanese rice, grilled vegetables, toum, tahina sauce and ketchup. Their beverages were quite refreshing, I had pomegranate, lemon mint and watermelon juice. Lastly, I had their Tiramisu which was light, fluffy and creamy with a very good coffee flavour. Their ambiance is truly everything. Spacious dinning area which is perfect for family dinners and an exceptional hall for the wedding guests and business associates. The staff members are really kind and generous, their service was truly welcoming and I loved it very much out here...

Outstanding Service! I wasn’t expecting this level of professionalism here. Extremely courteous staff with Manager himself welcoming the guests, it’s simply amazing. Lot & lots of food options with great taste. Keep it up Team Al Dira.

Smashburger

Mentioned on
1 list
Hamburger restaurant
Smashburger is a fast-casual chain known for its signature smashed burgers, along with a variety of sides and shakes. The brand prides itself on using high-quality ingredients, innovative culinary techniques, and modern recipes to cater to different tastes and occasions. While it may be slightly more expensive compared to nearby restaurants, the quality of the food is highly praised. Customers rave about the juicy and flavorful burgers, recommending them to anyone who enjoys fresh and delicious meals.
The burger was amazing. Really flavoursome burger, just could be a bit bigger for the price. Standard burger meal with chips and drink is around £10.50 (41.50 SAR). If you are into smash burgers then definitely worth a try.
Mohammad A — Google review
These were definitely not smash burgers. They were regular thick beef patties and they weren’t anything special. The pictures defined displayed bigger portions than what you actually get. My kids needed two burgers. As expected price was high as it’s located in the clock tower. The cleaners in Makkah always do an amazing job with maintaining the place so the tables were clean when we got there and clean as soon as we finished.
Bakso S — Google review
I have tried their classic smash beef burger and mushroom Swiss beef burger. Both burgers were really good, the meat was moist while the buns were fresh and soft. It was an amazing experience. If you are nearby do give it a try
Aisha J — Google review
I read a lot of reviews about this place and how great their burgers were but during my visit I was horrified by the quality, taste, flavour and presentation. I got 2 large meals which consisted of the original cheese burger and the another cheese burger with beef bacon and fried onions. Both looked like they had been run over by a 18 wheeler truck and then someone took the garden hose to them. Basically crushed and soggy burgers and this costs me 105 Sar around £31. For this price I could have gotten a decent meal but being the clock tower you're going to pay these sky high prices. Photos of the order and definitely a one time visit for me as I had the poops after.
Usmanov A — Google review
Average beef taste not juicy not recommended price also very high according to burger
Usman G — Google review
In general, this place is excessively pricey, lacking in flavor, and tasteless. I've sampled Smash Burgers at the clock tower over the past few years, and my experience last night was disappointing again. The patty is notably bland, lacking in flavor and seasoning. The coke served was flat with no fizz, and the fries were just about average. All of this comes at a considerably high price tag.
Ov — Google review
The quality of the burger was amazing! It was juicy (beef) and perfect. BUT it was too small and not fulfilling. 40 Riyal for a small burger seems too much. Fries were fresh and good too
Haseeb A — Google review
It was quiet, though there isn't usually a queue here as the place is a little expensive in exchange for what you get when compared to surrounding restaurants. Like there's a Al Baik right next door. I can't complain about the quality of the food however. Very hot, fresh, and juicy burger. I went for the Classic smashburger meal. Only one patty, but it's a tasty burger. I just wished it was a little cheaper or the burger had two patties for the same price. The total was around 39SAR, which comes to £9~.

AlBaik

Fast food restaurant
AlBaik, a popular fast-food chain originating from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1974, was founded with the vision of providing high-quality food at affordable prices. Specializing in chicken, fish, and shrimp dishes, AlBaik has expanded across Saudi Arabia and is renowned for its broast, pull, shrimp fillet, and more. The restaurant's success has made it a leading player in the country's fast-food market.
Albaik never disappoints! The chicken is always crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Their garlic sauce is unbeatable, and the service is quick and friendly. Whether dining in or taking away, the quality stays consistent every time. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious fried chicken!
Aqeel I — Google review
Tried all their burgers, shawarma, sandwich, chicken and fish. The quality of food is good and hygienic. To be honest, only fried chicken and fish fillet taste good not the best. Overall it's over-hyped, 6/10.
Ashar S — Google review
I arrived at 10 AM, and the queue was already massive. Almost all of the staff had very limited English, which made communication difficult. When I picked up my order, they forgot 4 pieces of chicken breast and 1 bun, which I had to complain about. The service was poor—one of the staff even threw my food, which felt quite inhumane
Bhakti A — Google review
Food is good . But the place is too much crowded. You need to wait minimum 30 minutes to serve.
Touhidur R — Google review
Food tastes average. The place usually remains crowded especially on weekends. Parking is somewhat difficult. Staff services need much improvement, they can’t speak English, lack manners generally have no idea about customer care! Standard of cleanliness is satisfactory.
Ibex R — Google review
Even after my serial number arrived, it took a long time to receive my parcel. I can see my serial number on the screen. I requested many times that my parcel is ready. Please let me receive it. But They don't let me in. After standing for a long time, they let me in. Then I took a picture of the rest. There are four pieces of chicken inside, one of which is very small, and two parcels contain as many sauce items as there are items. Didn't give it. I never imagined the service would be this bad. I used to get good service before. Now they are not providing good service anymore.
Md I — Google review
Services and qualities are Degraded now. No customer care no rules and regulations now. Staff is shouting on each other, even with kitchen wares sounding. Quality of food is degraded as compare to previous at same out let. Three years ago there was a sitting area to eat food which is absent now. Food found not fully tendered and cooked. Big size chicken pieces were less cooked. Very disappointing. However yet a rush is found at the out let long lines still seen.
Irshad B — Google review
Non friendly staff. They were shouting at the customers who were waiting for over 30minutes. One staff shouted "Go out, we didn't call you to eat here" and exposed his anger by throwing plate in to Pantry area. Another guy came and took over. He served calmly without responding to the customer's anger. He cleared the chaos in 10minutes. How Albaik is going to regulate the staff's conduct.

Korean restaurant
SURA Korean Fine Dining offers a unique culinary experience that stands out in Jeddah's vibrant dining scene. This restaurant specializes in authentic Korean cuisine, featuring beloved dishes like beef Bulgogi and Bibimbap, alongside an impressive selection of Korean BBQ. The ambiance is thoughtfully designed to blend modern elegance with traditional elements, making it suitable for both casual meals and formal gatherings.
The food is great and the portions are quite big. But I have to be extremely honest, this place might have the best on floor staff to help you with all the information you need on the menu or the overall experience.
Faisal B — Google review
Had a wonderful experience at Sura Restaurant! Every time we are here, the food is excellent—making it our favorite place to dine. The atmosphere is always great, but what stands out the most is the outstanding service. Special thanks to Mr. MD for his professionalism, attentiveness, and warm hospitality. He truly makes every dining experience memorable. Highly recommended!

we had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The service was excellent, especially from Sufana. She was very professional, attentive, and incredibly nice when she served us, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I would definitely come back again!
Desi A — Google review
The food tasted good, especially galbi-gui. However some food didn’t look fresh at all, like the cucumbers in the salad looked super unfresh…but overall we enjoyed the different flavors. I wasn’t aware of how different upstairs seating was, but downstairs it was giving 80s restaurant vibes, which is a bit nostalgic but also it felt like a super old place that’s not very well taken care of.
Mariam K — Google review
Amazing food, lovely ambience, and our waitress Ishra is a great one!! Always smiling, helpful with our choice of menu and bringing a pleasant experience. We order Haemul Pajeon, Budaejiggae jeongol, Modeum kimbap, and Dolsot Bibimbap. All so good and the portion is quite big. Will come back again💖
Lydia I — Google review
Sura Restaurant in Jeddah offers a wonderful taste of Korean fine dining. The food is really good and the atmosphere is pleasant, but what truly adds to the experience is trying their ground seating tables — it’s a whole vibe and makes the meal feel even more authentic. The menu is huge, so you really can’t do it justice in one visit. If you want something interactive and fun, order any hot pot — it’s an experience in itself, and you’ll enjoy every bite. Just remember, hot pot portions are for more than two people, so if there’s only two of you, don’t order anything else alongside it. But if you’re not going for the hot pot, I recommend mixing and matching different dishes — you’ll enjoy each one. Service is fine, and in my couple of visits, I didn’t find it too crowded, which made dining relaxed. At the end, they serve complimentary ice cream, which is just enough — though you might still be tempted to try their desserts. Only downside? Good luck with parking. Overall, Sura is worth visiting for its flavorful food, unique seating options, and the chance to explore Korean cuisine beyond the usual basics.
Mohammed A — Google review
The welcome porridge was mouth-watering, sundubu jigae was tasty but too much if you're only eat without rice, bibimbap taste was average but if you add the sauce from sundubu jigae, level up the taste. Last but not lease was bulgogi jungoel hot pot 👍🏻

The restaurant's ambiance is designed to resemble a cobbled piazza, adorned with photographs of Vespas, iconic landmarks, gondolas, and Fiats to transport diners to Italy.
Best lunch deal in town. Like where you get all the yummy dishes together at a very economical price. Lunch deal includes soup , yummy salad , a main course , cold drink and this is not it at the end a scoop of yummy gelato. The presentation of everything was superb. Great ambiance Friendly service. Soup and salad were amazingly yummy The pesto sandwich was so flavorful Highly recommended place. Infact whoever has not tried it has missed a lot.

Clean and commendable dining experience……… Cleanest of the Piato restaurant so far ever tried……… Staffs are very cooperative, friendly here (Pearl and Angelito) and always greeting customers with a warm smile
Kavish N — Google review
Very disappointed with the dish from Piatto restaurant that I just ordered through the Keeta app! Seriously??? Is this how they would serve the dish in a restaurant? Overcooked and dry broken fish. I would have cooked the salmon much better, but I wanted the aesthetics and juiciness from a professional chef! I have a freezer full of frozen salmon! I order food from a good restaurant to enjoy the taste! And I get something inedible.
Kari N — Google review
The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. Every dish exceeded my expectations, and the portions were just right. On top of that, the service was outstanding. We ate at Piatto Emaar. Jerico made the experience even better with his attentiveness, warm attitude, and genuine hospitality. He made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. 😄😄😄
Gladys V — Google review
Piatto is an all-time favourite restaurant, and they recently renovated the interiors, which makes it more appealing now. They have really good lunch offers and dinner offers if you have their loyalty sufra app installed, which i recommend ! Going to the food, we tried the lunch offer, and it starts from 53 riyals, which include unlimted soup, salad, garlic bread, and soft drinks, last but not the least, 1 scoop of gelato We tried the Spagetti with meat balls and chickan romano & kids had chicken tendors with french fries. The soup and salad were fresh and refilled attentively. The garlic bread, however, was plain and cold, so that was the only thing with a negative remark. The food was hot and tasted scrumptious, the spagetti was not overcooked, and the sauce was packed with flavours. Equally good was the Chiken Romano. Also, my other favourites include peri peri chicken pizza and the lamb shank (which i think has been discontinued). If you have never tried Piatto, give it a try and make sure to check the dinner offers over the weekdays, which are surely bang for buck! The service can be slow when it is full house other than its a perfect place with out door seating when the weather is nice.

I have posted a review about 8 months ago. I had a not so good experience. However, about a week ago I went to this branch and it blew my mind. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy. The service was absolutely incredible. Everything was 10/10 that I had to change my previous review. This branch is definitely my favorite and will continue to come every time I’m in Jeddah. My order was: - Warm Spinach and artichoke 10/10. - Margarita pizza 10/10. - Chicken parmigiana 200/10 my favorite. - Chicken tenders 10/10 - Rigatoni pesto 7/10 - Grilled chicken pizza 7/10 - Truffle mac & cheese balls 5/10 because I don’t like truffle. My family enjoyed it. Thank you Piatto for the great service.

King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, serves as a gateway to the sacred cities of Mecca and Medina. The airport offers modern facilities and helpful staff, including convenience stores, coffee shops, gift shops, and clean restrooms. Travelers can also take the fast train to Mecca and Medina but should secure tickets in advance due to high demand.
JED Airport is bright, clean, and modern. Toilets are clean, the ceiling artwork is beautiful, and the runway looks great at night with its floor lighting. A big section is still under renovation, so it doesn’t yet feel fully complete. Shops like Pret à Manger and Duty Free are open, the lounge chairs are very comfortable, and the train to Terminal 1 is smooth and efficient. One idea that would make this airport unforgettable? An indoor light show in the main hall. This is a mix of art, music, and lights that passengers could enjoy while waiting for flights. It would give JED a true “wow factor” like no other airport in the WORLD!

Excellent Experience at Jeddah Airport! The airport is clean, modern, and very well organized. Immigration and security were smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the process. Plenty of food options and comfortable waiting areas. Overall, a pleasant travel experience — one of the best airports in the region!

Modern ✈️, clean 🧼, and spacious 🏛️! Loved the huge aquarium 🐠, prayer areas 🕌, and quick immigration ✅. Direct Haramain train 🚄 to Makkah is a big plus. Great food & coffee ☕🍔 (Starbucks, Costa, Tim Hortons, McDonald’s, Paul, Bateel) and shopping 🛍️ at Duty Free. Lounges (Emirates & Saudia) are excellent ✨. Just improve Wi-Fi 📶 and inter-terminal transfers 🚐.

I had a wonderful experience at the new Jeddah Airport, Terminal A. The airport itself is beautiful, modern, and very well designed. From the moment I entered, everything felt organized and comfortable. The Saudi Airlines check-in counters were smooth, and immigration was quick and efficient. After that, I took the airport’s automated metro train, which was fast and comfortable, quickly taking us to the gates area. The whole process was seamless and stress-free. Truly impressed with the airport’s beauty, management, and world-class facilities.

A pretty but impractical airport King Abdul Aziz's new Terminal 1 is all looks and no function for a traveler. You will get hungry because the only food is fast food chains and coffee shops. Finding a comfy seat or an open power outlet is a battle, and the free Wi-Fi is on a timer. If you are thirsty, you have to buy drinking water because water dispensers are not available. Signages in the land and air sides are also confusing, especially in and around the lifts. The biggest hassle is the gate assignment. They make everyone wait until just an hour and a half before boarding, which is a huge pain if you are in a long transit or checked in early. All in all, the airport misses the mark on basic comforts and convenience. I would recommend choosing a different airport ( or transit point) if there is an option. Updated 2nd Nov 2025: we could not comnect to the "free" airport Wifi.

A big and beautiful airport that warmly welcomes pilgrimage travellers from all over the world. The airport is very well maintained, clean, and organized with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable journey. There are plenty of food outlets and shopping options, making the wait time pleasant. The facilities are modern, and the staff are helpful and supportive. A true gateway to the holy city

⭐ Review of King Abdulaziz International Airport – Jeddah (KAIA) ⭐ I recently traveled through King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah, and I must say the airport has come a long way in terms of design, efficiency, and traveler comfort. The new terminal is modern, spacious, and beautifully reflects the culture of Saudi Arabia. 🏢 Terminal & Infrastructure: The new terminal is massive and beautifully designed with high ceilings, natural lighting, and wide walking spaces. Everything looks clean and modern, with signs in both Arabic and English to help guide international travelers. The layout is intuitive, and it’s fairly easy to navigate between check-in, immigration, and boarding gates. 📦 Facilities & Services: The airport offers a wide range of facilities, including comfortable seating, charging stations, lounges (like the Alfursan Lounge), prayer rooms, clean washrooms, and duty-free shops. There are also a variety of restaurants and cafés offering local and international cuisines. The presence of automated passport control gates, smart baggage handling, and digital display boards has made the overall experience much smoother. 👮‍♂️ Security & Immigration: Immigration and security staff were professional and organized, though during peak hours the queues can get quite long, especially for economy class passengers. However, the process is generally efficient, and the staff are courteous and helpful. 🛬 Arrivals & Baggage Claim: The arrival area is neat, and the baggage claim is well-managed. Luggage came out in a timely manner. Customs clearance was smooth and not too time-consuming. 🚕 Transportation: Getting to and from the airport is easy, with plenty of taxi options, ride-sharing services, and private car hires available. There is also a train station inside the airport which connects to other major cities in Saudi Arabia, which is a huge plus for domestic travelers. 🕌 Spiritual Touch: One unique feature of Jeddah Airport is its spiritual significance as the gateway for millions of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. There are beautiful Islamic elements in the design, and the airport does a good job handling the seasonal influx of pilgrims. 🔄 Areas for Improvement: While the new terminal is a big upgrade, during peak hours it can still get crowded, especially near immigration and baggage claim. Also, signage for connecting flights and some gate announcements can be improved for better clarity. 📝 Final Thoughts: Overall, King Abdulaziz International Airport is now one of the better airports in the region. With its upgraded facilities, improved services, and cultural elegance, it offers a welcoming experience for both local and international travelers. A big step forward for Saudi Arabia in terms of airport infrastructure. ⭐ Rating: 4.9/5

Very nice experience. Though it was my first time in the country, I was able to use the Egate and my immigration happened in less than 5 minutes. The duty free is huge and requires a minimum of 1-2 hours to check & shop. Since I had paucity of time, I just rushed through.
