Extremely quiet place to put down and leave behind all the stress, troubles, and worries. A relatively good place to visit either for sightseeing or for praying. Not sure if it is due to Friday while we are visiting, the place is empty which makes it easy to pray, meditate, and take photos. However, they are renovating this place at the moment so a number of infrastructure thus limited access to some of the places.

Our day trip to the city felt complete after a visit to the temple. A stone’s throw from Grand Batam by car; do make a donation as you take the offering items. Some parts of the temple seem to be under improvement works; hopefully ready by the time we come back.

The arcade was actually decent and very affordable. The multi-player driving race cars actually sync and you could play with others. There's were many perfume and bags stores in the mall and some restaurants on top floor including a cinema. Sufficient to just spend max 1.5 hrs here.

The massage was excellent, with the therapist paying great attention to all the key areas of the legs, including calves and toes. The atmosphere is more basic compared to larger spas, there isn’t soft music or plush chairs, but the quality of the massage makes up for it.

A must visit place for those who are looking for souvenirs or local products like foods or clothing. The price is reasonable, some items you can bargain. Some shops do sell the same thing so do remember to survey and ask for a price first before deciding to buy. The mall is huge and has few sections. But in terms of facilities, it looks old and obsolete compared to other malls nearby. But still a great shopping experience.

Decent choice to have your meal before taking the ferry. The authentic Indonesian flavors in each dish were a delightful surprise. The Steamed Fish had the perfect balance of spices, and the rendang was tender and flavorful. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff added to the overall positive impression. Malaya Cafe is a great spot for anyone craving delicious Indonesian cuisine in a welcoming setting. I'll definitely be returning to savor more of their delectable offerings.

We had dinner during a busy evening. One of our food, the fried rice, was served much later after we all ate finished. The surprise dish was the siomay. Drizzled with the satay sauce, this dish was delish. The fried rice was super spicy but tasty.

All so delicious. So Indonesian! Love the Mie Ayam & Siomay. Ice coffee also so nice. Price reasonable & the staff was so friendly especially Putri, Dewi & Isli. Will come again soon.

Very friendly and accommodating service staff that allowed us to use laptop while waiting for our ferry. We tried the food and it was honestly our best meal there! The fried noodles, the nasi goreng and the satay we finished it in no time. Everything blends in very well. Waiting time is short and it was serve hot! Would recommend to everyone!!

Way overpriced for the portion they gave. Fish head was tiny. Way too much breading on the calamari. Final verdict: food was edible but definitely won't be coming back. Way more options with better price and taste. Spent more than 400k for 2 person is way too much for this portion and taste.

A coffee shop with nice seafood and fish soup. Normal local eatery setting. Service is fine. Correction on the price. I think it costs more than 50000 per bowl of fish/sea food soup without rice. Hmm..it's more expensive than what I can get elsewhere in Batam though I find the taste of soup pleasantly different.

A gem in Grand Batam Mall if you’re looking for shabu-shabu and/or yakuniku buffet. We got the salmon holiday feast combo for just Rp350.000 per pax including service charge and GST. Definitely worth every cent paid. There is a wide range of hotpot ingredients and some sushi spread at the open area. Ingredients like vegetables, eggs, mushrooms, frozen food were fresh. Cooked food were also kept warm. For the combo, you’ll get 120 mins of cooking and eating time compared 90 mins if you selected either the yakiniku or shabu-shabu. There are desserts and ice cream to complete the meal. The restaurant is also spacious and can accommodate a large group of guests especially those with children. Staff members were polite and professional. Would recommend to at least give this place a try. It’s definitely worthwhile.

The service was disappointing, with unfriendly staff. Despite calling the waitress standing right in front of us, she seemed to focus only on serving larger groups, making us (just two diners) feel completely overlooked. Even after my husband spoke to another waitress, we still had to wait another 15 minutes for the extra beef. The experience was frustrating and unprofessional—definitely not a place we’ll return to.

Paid for the wagyu combo, the grade of their “wagyu” is a scam. I get better beef from Bangkok Mookata (coffeeshop stall) in Singapore which is a mass market food stall and cheap

Great all-you-can-eat experience at Shaburi & Kintan Buffet! The variety and quality of items were impressive, and most dishes were delicious. The Tom Yum soup was a bit too salty for my taste, but everything else was satisfying. Efficient service and a good spot for a hearty buffet. Worth a visit!

The overall quality have downgraded since my last visit (before covid). The meat is mushy, side dishes are not on display anymore (now by request), and the place feels empty. Can't say about the premium meat though as I chose the regular package.

The Wagyu beef taste was delicious. But they don't have non sweet drink for all you can eat. Also I feel seasoned beef was to salty. If you are taking the Shabu package, better to ask refill the broth in advance unless you want to got stopped to wait the refill.

It's huge but as a visitor the things on offer doesn't seem that interesting. There are plenty of food options however the options itself may seem quite repetitive. There is a huge hardware store and supermarket which can be of interest as they have some items that are cheaper there compared to Singapore.

It call Nagoya Hill Mall. U can get all ur needs here especially if u wanna buy a souvenir. Everything is in here from supermarket, mobile phone, restaurants, merchandise shop. Only 1 thing, ehailing cant pick up u at the entrance coz they dont allow, only taxi can.

I enjoyed the following things in Nagoya Shopping Mall: 1. Watching movie at Cinema 21 2. Shopping at the huge hypermart in the ground floor. 3. Tasting Layer cakes. 4. Shopping at the multiple stores in the mall. 5. Having Indonesian food at the several restaurants available in the mall. The outside of the mall does not look very pleasant. There are a lot of people sitting and smoking, mostly taxi drivers waiting for a pick-up. The mall has a good rated taxi queue as well. It costed 60,000 idr to be dropped off at Harbour Bay.

Dined there 5 August 2024. Ordered seafood horfun, staff cannot even unload the plate off the tray cuz they said it was too hot. I touched it and it was just warm... then few mins after we found a huge piece of plastic wrapper. Supervisor/server just came and said sorry oops. No service recovery nothing else was done. We paid the full bill and left. Other items on the menu. Curry seafood rice. Nasty. Salted egg yolk bun. Its just pure custard and its also hard. For a restaurant that specialises in duck. The duck was tough and just in the level of edible. For the very first meal in Batam, it was a disappointment. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE.

The staff and atmosphere were satisfactory; however, the roasted chicken did not meet the expected quality standards. It was surprising to find that the so-called roasted chicken appeared to have been fried, resulting in tough and dry meat. Considering the restaurant’s reputation for its roasted chicken and duck, the experience was rather disappointing. Never order the Roasted Duck and Chicken, you will end up disappointed.

MUST TRY PLACE if you love horrible staff service, slow service, and incomplete menu! Staffs aren’t responsive, lots of trainee/part time staffs who don’t understand the menu. They can’t communicate to the guests informing which menus are unavailable (most dimsum menu are unavailable). The service was very slow, we have to wait and even argue about our order. Expectation vs reality. We should have read the review before coming. Service was impeccable but sadly can't say the same about their food.. dumpling chilli oil is more like soup 😆 🤣 the broccoli with abalone sauce was impossible to stomach.. fried rice with seafood was bland.. the xiao long bao was not good.. the only OK food we had was the kailan, salted egg prawn and black pepper beef.. Will I visit again? 🙅‍♀️

We recently visited Harbour Bay Seafood Restaurant for a reunion dinner, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The food was quite nice, and the atmosphere of the restaurant added to the festive spirit of our Chinese New Year celebration. However, we faced significant delays in service. It took an astonishing two hours for our crab and fried chicken to arrive, which was frustrating. Interestingly, the mantou came out two hours before the crab, leaving us waiting much longer than expected. The delay in service was compounded by the fact that the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive. They often pretended not to see us when we tried to get their attention, which made the experience a bit disappointing. Despite the long wait, the food itself was enjoyable, and the ambiance was pleasant, making it a decent choice for a gathering. However, improvements in service efficiency and staff friendliness would greatly enhance the dining experience. I hope they can better manage the rush during busy times like CNY in the future.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! There only one other family dining in the area when we eat there during a Wednesday afternoon. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’m honestly shocked at how bad both the food and service were. Let me break it down: • Fish sauce was absolutely disgusting—inedible and left a terrible aftertaste. • Yellow sauce was so overpowering with lemongrass that it ruined the dish entirely. • Crab tasted very bitter. • The crab sauce tasted like those cheap chili packets from KFC. For the price we paid, this is a complete joke. • We specifically ordered kailan, but they brought us cabbage. When we pointed out their mistake, the staff actually argued with us and insisted it was kailan. Anyone can see from the picture it’s NOT. Either they don’t know their own menu or they just don’t care. The service was just as bad. Staff were glued to their phones, ignored us, and made us feel like we were a bother. We were wearing white shirts and they didn’t even bother to offer covers, despite serving messy dishes. Basic customer care was completely missing. I left feeling angry and disappointed. honestly worried about food safety here. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money and your stomach go somewhere else! This place does not deserve your business. Trust me don’t dine there.

Best seafood restaurant in the area. Top quality food, best location, best views, beverage options are great. Even has a live band. Bring your family there they'll love it.

The best one that we ordered is Cumi Cabai Garam. The Kepiting Lada Hitam’s sauce is a bit too thick. Place is well decorated and has a good ambiance. It is a bit pricey considering there are a lot of other seafood restaurants in Batam.

The restaurant is spacious and well lit, with both indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn't windy outdoors but the number of fans installed helped with the heat. We ordered butter hepo, steamed scallops, sweet and sour snapper, sambal kangkong, salted egg crab, lobster, calamari, harbour bay style steamed grouper, and the egg fried rice. Both types of fish were fantastic! The meat was sweet and so fresh that you could see the layers of meat as you cut through it. The sweet and sour snapper was fried to perfection as the skin was super crispy and the skin fell off the meat easily. The butter hepo was a bit weird as it's not the usual butter we're used to. It's darker in colour and doesn't have the regular butter texture or taste. The hepo was also a little overcooked as the meat was stuck in its shell. The hepo were also pretty small in size, so it wasn't very pleasant to hacve to scrape out the meat. The calamari, kangkong, and steamed scallops were nice but nothing really special. My friends really enjoyed the crab and lobster, and I did not have any. The egg fried rice was served in a really generous portion. I usually expect egg fried rice to be the hongkong/taiwan style, but it turned out more to be like nasi goreng pattaya. No complaints, though, as it was decent. This is one of the better seafood places so far. Worth a try!

Seafood is slightly cheaper than what you can get in SG but quality is average. The sea cucumber was not well cooked (slightly hard). Restaurant is by the sea (open air concept) and did not accept cash payment.
