Shopping mall
Grand Batam Mall is a newly opened, modern and luxurious shopping destination in Batam, covering approximately 80,000 square meters. It features department stores, boutiques, casual eateries, and a children's arcade. The mall offers a comfortable atmosphere with its modern interior and exterior design. Despite being more compact than typical malls in Asia, it provides comprehensive shopping options and is easier to navigate. One unique feature is the inclusion of a local supermarket alongside international tenants.
Love this mall. Its just like what i can find back in Singapore. Lots of retail and F&B outlets. Kid store and game area. There is also a CGV cinema with about 5 halls on the top most floor. Watched a movie here (28 yrs later) and the seats were good, clean and comfy. Good sound system (7:1) Only the movie was a bore. Basement have a Supermart. If you want to have a hair cut , its on the 2nd floor. My experience, don't expect much from these 'hairstylist'. Many at times there some sort of activity going on at the ground floor area. This mall has 2 main entrance (1 & 2) and side door (just next to Pizza Hut) that leads one to a small lane front of a Thai massage parlour (nice family massage and worth the 2 hours couple massage) in that area. Getting here and/or booking a Gojek at GBM s a breeze. Will def come back here on my next visit..to this modern establishment

You can get many local and branded stores here, good eateries. It even has it’s own Mosque inside. Overall, clean and well air conditioned to beat the afternoon heat.

Newest shopping mall in Batam catering for mid range international brands, local brands & eateries. This is popular among Singaporean tourists.
Merryheart — Google review
Quite a huge mall with many shops as well as eateries, generally crowded especially on Fridays and weekends. Mall is well maintained and offers plenty of seating area. Nursing room is also easily accessible with hot water dispenser for family with infants. Wide range of shopping options with some international brands too. Definitely a spot to visit if you're in Batam. Lingkungan mall cukup mewah dan sangat nyaman. Direkomendasikan banget untuk dikunjungi ya. There's also top100 supermarket conveniently located within the mall. Overallnya satisfied banget

On my first visit to Batam, I went to Grand Batam Mall and it was such a great experience. The mall is modern, spacious, and filled with a wide selection of shops, restaurants, and entertainment. It’s the perfect place to explore, shop, and enjoy the city vibe. Definitely a must-visit spot when in Bata
Rinda H — Google review
huge mall. the supermart at basement not very friendly, was asked by security to deposit my recycled bag at the counter, am not allowed to bring in even though the bag only contained my big plush toy.
Grizz — Google review
Grand Batam Mall is a modern, well-kept largest shopping center with a great variety of retail shops and dining options. You’ll find popular international brands like H&M, UNIQLO, Adidas, and Skechers, along with local fashion boutiques and beauty stores. It’s a good mix for both casual shoppers and brand lovers. Food-wise, there’s something for everyone — from local Indonesian favorites to well-known chains like Sate Senayan and Starbucks. The mall also has a nice selection of cafés and family-friendly restaurants, making it a good spot to take a break and grab a bite. If you’re a tourist, make sure to stop by the information counter at the Ground Floor — they offer a free tote bag just by showing your passport! It’s a small but thoughtful gesture that adds a nice touch to your visit. Plus get access to free WIFI Overall, Grand Batam Mall is a clean, organized, and air-conditioned place to shop, dine, or simply escape the heat. A solid choice for spending a few relaxed hours in Batam.
LCT — Google review
The mall is huge with so many different shops to choose from! Great place to shop, eat, and just relax. There’s a nice variety of stores and restaurants, and the atmosphere is really pleasant. Perfect spot to spend the weekend with family or friends!

Vihara Budhi Bhakti (also known as 大悲佛堂) is a significant religious destination in Batam, Indonesia, featuring impressive statues that attract numerous worshippers. The temple boasts immaculate cleanliness with regular cleaning by the staff. Visitors can find three prominent Buddha statues inside and enjoy the serene atmosphere near the pond that's home to colorful fishes. Beyond being a place of prayer, this temple offers an opportunity for learning and exploration of Buddhist culture.
A peaceful spot for a brief visit. The temple features a main hall and a separate prayer hall, both of which offer a serene space for quiet reflection. Outside, there’s a small garden with a fish pond that adds to the tranquil atmosphere. While the temple is beautifully maintained, there isn’t much in terms of activities, making it a place best suited for those seeking a short, calm stop during their day. Lots of parking available. Toilets are clean. No admission fees.

A peaceful and beautiful temple in Batam! The big reclining Vishnu statue is amazing and makes this place special. It's quiet, clean, and perfect if you want to relax or pray. The people there are super friendly too. Tip: Visit in the morning for a calm vibe.
Zaki A — Google review
I had the chance to visit Budhi Bhakti Temple in Batam on a beautifully rainy day, and the experience was nothing short of magical. The soft drizzle added a calm, almost meditative charm to the entire atmosphere. As I stepped into the temple grounds, the scent of rain on the stone pathways and incense in the air created a peaceful, spiritual aura that was truly unforgettable. The architecture of the temple stood out against the misty sky — vibrant reds, golds, and ornate carvings glistened with raindrops. Despite the weather, everything felt warm and welcoming. The Buddha statues in the main hall exuded serenity, and the rain made the moment feel more intimate and reflective. I found myself slowing down, taking in every detail with gratitude. Walking slowly under an umbrella through the temple grounds, I noticed how the rain enhanced the colors of the beautifully kept gardens. The lotus pond looked particularly stunning, with gentle ripples from the falling rain adding a poetic rhythm to the scene. The temple staff were kind and offered a warm smile, which made me feel at home. The quietness of the rainy day allowed for a more personal connection with the surroundings. Visiting Budhi Bhakti Temple in the rain was a peaceful, soul-soothing experience. The blend of spiritual calm and nature’s gentle touch made it feel like a moment frozen in time. Whether you're spiritual, curious, or just seeking a quiet escape, I highly recommend this temple — and if you're lucky enough to visit on a rainy day, embrace it. It truly adds something special to the journey.

A beautiful temple right in the middle of Batam, very nearby Grand Batam Mall and Nagoya business centre. Well kept, very beautiful. Can visit and pay respects to the deities and to the Lord Buddha. Must visit for the list of Chinese temples on Batam.

Very colourful Chinese temple with lots of dieties. Clean and quiet place plus also some stalls selling food and drinks for the hungry and thirsty.

Very quiet & peace place for worship. Heng ong huat
Duncan T — Google review
Extremely quiet place to put down and leave behind all the stress, troubles, and worries. A relatively good place to visit either for sightseeing or for praying. Not sure if it is due to Friday while we are visiting, the place is empty which makes it easy to pray, meditate, and take photos. However, they are renovating this place at the moment so a number of infrastructure thus limited access to some of the places.
Jardsry — Google review
Our day trip to the city felt complete after a visit to the temple. A stone’s throw from Grand Batam by car; do make a donation as you take the offering items. Some parts of the temple seem to be under improvement works; hopefully ready by the time we come back.

Shopping mall
Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre is a large mall in Batam, Indonesia, offering a wide range of facilities and amenities. The ground and top floors feature numerous eateries and restaurants, while shops on various levels sell items such as bags, watches, and shoes. The basement houses a hypermarket that has recently downsized. Additionally, the atrium hosts small dress shops and vendors selling tidbits and chocolates near the entrance. Visitors can also find kueh lapis from various brands here.
Personally felt that this mall deserves more recognition. It’s a great mall with wide variation of shops. Ground level is the electronics and gadgets level From cameras to mobile phone accessories and the rest of the mall has clothes and department store
Xuan L — Google review
Nagoya Hill is a great stop if you’re in Batam and looking to shop for snacks and souvenirs. We picked up some local treats from the ground floor and found even better bargains at the hypermarket downstairs — definitely worth checking out for value deals. One of the highlights is the variety of local food options around the mall. Whether you’re after quick street bites or full meals, there’s plenty to explore just outside the main building. It’s not the most modern mall, but it has everything you need — from local flavors to practical shopping. Great for casual browsing and picking up gifts or groceries before heading home.
LCT — Google review
The arcade was actually decent and very affordable. The multi-player driving race cars actually sync and you could play with others. There's were many perfume and bags stores in the mall and some restaurants on top floor including a cinema. Sufficient to just spend max 1.5 hrs here.
Lee J — Google review
The massage was excellent, with the therapist paying great attention to all the key areas of the legs, including calves and toes. The atmosphere is more basic compared to larger spas, there isn’t soft music or plush chairs, but the quality of the massage makes up for it.
Anson — Google review
The Mall has many food outlets at fair prices, a Hypermarket (expensive!), optical stores, department store, clothes and fashion shops, hairdressers, watch shops etc etc.
Dean S — Google review
Last minute shopping before going home! Nagoya Hill Mall - good to stop by this mall to check out on clothings, sport shoes, snacks, accessories, lingerie, food street, restaurants, hair salon and electronics section. In the middle of the mall, they have event hall for different theme. Nice!!

Great place to shop for souvenirs and try some local food. 🛍️
Jessyailysia — Google review
A must visit place for those who are looking for souvenirs or local products like foods or clothing. The price is reasonable, some items you can bargain. Some shops do sell the same thing so do remember to survey and ask for a price first before deciding to buy. The mall is huge and has few sections. But in terms of facilities, it looks old and obsolete compared to other malls nearby. But still a great shopping experience.

Malaya Cafe, located in Panbil Mall, Batam, Riau, offers a family-friendly and homey atmosphere with a variety of Chinese food options. From Dim Sum to various types of noodles and vegetables, the menu ensures that visitors won't get bored with their offerings. The cafe is known for its accommodating service staff and quick service.
I went here for lunch. The seats were very comfortable, the place was well lit, and the food were at a reasonable price and tasted marvelous - though, I must say, the food was a little bit too salty. There are a variety of drinks to choose from. They were also extremely delicious - just like the dishes served. The staff were really kind and sweet. They all wore a gentle smile. I appreciate the service a lot. If you ever come here, I reccommmend buying the Bakso Mie and the fruit juice float drinks.

Decent choice to have your meal before taking the ferry. The authentic Indonesian flavors in each dish were a delightful surprise. The Steamed Fish had the perfect balance of spices, and the rendang was tender and flavorful. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff added to the overall positive impression. Malaya Cafe is a great spot for anyone craving delicious Indonesian cuisine in a welcoming setting. I'll definitely be returning to savor more of their delectable offerings.

We had dinner during a busy evening. One of our food, the fried rice, was served much later after we all ate finished. The surprise dish was the siomay. Drizzled with the satay sauce, this dish was delish. The fried rice was super spicy but tasty.

Cafe Review: Malaya Cafe at Batam City Square Mall One of the outlets at BCS Mall, Malaya Cafe has a total of 8 outlets, spread across Batam. They serve a wide selection of local dishes. You will spoilt with choices. Honestly to me, it’s more like a restaurant. Ambiance: ★★★☆☆ This outlet at BCS mall is clean and spacious, with very comfortable seats and a well-organized setting. A very typical Indo-style. I learned that each outlet’s decor is a bit different. Cuisine: ★★★★☆ Malaya Cafe at BCS Mall tantalizes your taste buds with a feast of flavors, from savory to sweet. We were there for our dinner. Some of my favorites are the Ikan Bakar, the fried Tofu and tempa, and the satay. They are tastefully done and very affordable. Service: ★★★☆☆ Service at Malaya Cafe is warm and friendly. Conclusion: If you want an affordable and wide selection of dishes, you can consider it. Please note: each outlet might be different given the quality of the food. Note: Ratings are subjective and based on personal experience and honest reviews. #malayacafe #batamfood #bcsmall #indonesianfood #ray_yeetravel #ray_yeeeats #ray_yeelifestyle #fo5 #fo5eats #fo5travel #fo5lifestyle #malaysiafood #malaysiafoodie #iphonephotography #iphonephoto #iphonefoodphotography #iphonefoodphoto

Dju Dju Baru is a popular restaurant in Batam, known for its mouthwatering fish soup dishes. They specialize in halal fish and seafood, making it a great choice for breakfast or lunch. The parking situation is decent, although it can get crowded with tourists from outside Batam especially after the pandemic. One of their highly recommended dishes is the sweet and sour fish, also known as ikan asam pedas.
Delicious food, a must try if you stay in Batam. The waiters are polite and the food served fast.
Alief F — Google review
Way overpriced for the portion they gave. Fish head was tiny. Way too much breading on the calamari. Final verdict: food was edible but definitely won't be coming back. Way more options with better price and taste. Spent more than 400k for 2 person is way too much for this portion and taste.
William C — Google review
A coffee shop with nice seafood and fish soup. Normal local eatery setting. Service is fine. Correction on the price. I think it costs more than 50000 per bowl of fish/sea food soup without rice. Hmm..it's more expensive than what I can get elsewhere in Batam though I find the taste of soup pleasantly different.

Authentic Japanese restaurant
Shaburi & Kintan Buffet is a must-visit for lovers of Japanese cuisine in Batam. This all-you-can-eat restaurant offers a variety of options including shabu-shabu and Japanese barbecue. Guests can choose from different meat options and dining durations, either 70 or 90 minutes. The exceptional value for money, particularly the A5 beef, and outstanding service provided by attentive waiters make it stand out.
Having pleasant night here. The food are really good. Me and my husband took all you can eat package for us. It cost us 235.000 IDR (exclude taxes). This prices is worth honestly. We had very fine meat. All the side dish also good. They prepare sushi, oden, veggies, salad, ice cream, brownies and many more. The waiters also really helpful and place is also so cozy.
Giani S — Google review
A gem in Grand Batam Mall if you’re looking for shabu-shabu and/or yakuniku buffet. We got the salmon holiday feast combo for just Rp350.000 per pax including service charge and GST. Definitely worth every cent paid. There is a wide range of hotpot ingredients and some sushi spread at the open area. Ingredients like vegetables, eggs, mushrooms, frozen food were fresh. Cooked food were also kept warm. For the combo, you’ll get 120 mins of cooking and eating time compared 90 mins if you selected either the yakiniku or shabu-shabu. There are desserts and ice cream to complete the meal. The restaurant is also spacious and can accommodate a large group of guests especially those with children. Staff members were polite and professional. Would recommend to at least give this place a try. It’s definitely worthwhile.

Wonderful place for hanging out with the family and friends. Providing good ambient and atmosphere, awesome dishes and options. Heard too pricey? Not really, it was worth on every penny.
Ruston A — Google review
The service was disappointing, with unfriendly staff. Despite calling the waitress standing right in front of us, she seemed to focus only on serving larger groups, making us (just two diners) feel completely overlooked. Even after my husband spoke to another waitress, we still had to wait another 15 minutes for the extra beef. The experience was frustrating and unprofessional—definitely not a place we’ll return to.

The all-you-can-eat concept is perfect for groups and families, allowing everyone to enjoy their favorites at their own pace. The ambiance is cozy and modern, with excellent hygiene and well-organized stations. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring a smooth dining experience. Whether you're a fan of shabu-shabu, yakiniku, or both, this place is a must-visit for food lovers!

Great all-you-can-eat experience at Shaburi & Kintan Buffet! The variety and quality of items were impressive, and most dishes were delicious. The Tom Yum soup was a bit too salty for my taste, but everything else was satisfying. Efficient service and a good spot for a hearty buffet. Worth a visit!

For day 2, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with TBS Group, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Jl. Harbour Bay. All together, your day would be filled with about 5 hours of non-stop fun.

TBS Group is a retail establishment situated in a shopping mall that specializes in the sale of laptop and desktop computers. Additionally, it offers an array of related accessories such as printers, ink, and other peripherals. Meanwhile, patrons can also find numerous food options within the mall premises, with the grocery store being a popular choice. Moreover, there are opportunities for ultimate relaxation via massages while hairdressing services are also available for total pampering from head to toe.
Lots of food, the supermarket is my favourite, nice massage, did my hair too. Head to toe pampering session. And of course your tummy will never growl for food.

It's huge but as a visitor the things on offer doesn't seem that interesting. There are plenty of food options however the options itself may seem quite repetitive. There is a huge hardware store and supermarket which can be of interest as they have some items that are cheaper there compared to Singapore.

It call Nagoya Hill Mall. U can get all ur needs here especially if u wanna buy a souvenir. Everything is in here from supermarket, mobile phone, restaurants, merchandise shop. Only 1 thing, ehailing cant pick up u at the entrance coz they dont allow, only taxi can.

I enjoyed the following things in Nagoya Shopping Mall: 1. Watching movie at Cinema 21 2. Shopping at the huge hypermart in the ground floor. 3. Tasting Layer cakes. 4. Shopping at the multiple stores in the mall. 5. Having Indonesian food at the several restaurants available in the mall. The outside of the mall does not look very pleasant. There are a lot of people sitting and smoking, mostly taxi drivers waiting for a pick-up. The mall has a good rated taxi queue as well. It costed 60,000 idr to be dropped off at Harbour Bay.

A very local mall with very affordable food options at the top level of the mall. There is a supermarket too for your grocery need.

One of the biggest mall / shopping plaza in Batam. Lots of nearby hotels. Very popular for tourist shopping destination. You could find gifts, branded shirts, bags and wallets with different grades and prices. This mall is usually very crowded in the weekend.
Bayu S — Google review
Very average, if u r looking for duplicate everything you can visit . Waste of time in my opinion.

Chinese restaurant
Seafood restaurant
Duck Kitchen Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located in Nagoya Hill Mall, offering halal cuisine. The menu includes a variety of dishes such as chicken, beef, shrimp, fish, and vegetables at reasonable prices with generous portions. Despite some mixed reviews on the signature duck dish and slow service, others have praised the delicious food and great service. The ambiance is reminiscent of a traditional Chinese eatery with old music tunes playing in the background.
Value for money meals! Get the promo items! Water and ice tea cost almost the same. Make your choice or bring your own water. Dim sum was good too. Their chilli was power!

Inside the mall so not much flies compare dinning outside r other area in Batam r Bintan. Prices was really cheap on weekdays. We easily found seats walking in. Server not all understand English. So glad to find Chinese halal food here.

Came across this restaurant in Nagoya Hill - wanted to eat some porridge or soup - so ordered shrimp porridge and Lemon Squash - taste of the porridge is delicious and not salty at all which is good - will come back to try other dishes next time

A huge and spacious restaurant with smoking and non-smoking sections. A number of items and drinks not available but there's still many choices. The cost is quite expensive for all the food items. Quite quiet since not many customers around.

Dined there 5 August 2024. Ordered seafood horfun, staff cannot even unload the plate off the tray cuz they said it was too hot. I touched it and it was just warm... then few mins after we found a huge piece of plastic wrapper. Supervisor/server just came and said sorry oops. No service recovery nothing else was done. We paid the full bill and left. Other items on the menu. Curry seafood rice. Nasty. Salted egg yolk bun. Its just pure custard and its also hard. For a restaurant that specialises in duck. The duck was tough and just in the level of edible. For the very first meal in Batam, it was a disappointment. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE.
Stefy S — Google review
The staff and atmosphere were satisfactory; however, the roasted chicken did not meet the expected quality standards. It was surprising to find that the so-called roasted chicken appeared to have been fried, resulting in tough and dry meat. Considering the restaurant’s reputation for its roasted chicken and duck, the experience was rather disappointing. Never order the Roasted Duck and Chicken, you will end up disappointed.

MUST TRY PLACE if you love horrible staff service, slow service, and incomplete menu! Staffs aren’t responsive, lots of trainee/part time staffs who don’t understand the menu. They can’t communicate to the guests informing which menus are unavailable (most dimsum menu are unavailable). The service was very slow, we have to wait and even argue about our order. The food finally came out almost an hour after we wait. Kudos to the chili oil, and the black pepper chicken feet

Expectation vs reality. We should have read the review before coming. Service was impeccable but sadly can't say the same about their food.. dumpling chilli oil is more like soup 😆 🤣 the broccoli with abalone sauce was impossible to stomach.. fried rice with seafood was bland.. the xiao long bao was not good.. the only OK food we had was the kailan, salted egg prawn and black pepper beef.. Will I visit again? 🙅‍♀️

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
Harbour Bay Seafood Restaurant is a must-visit spot where Indonesian and Chinese culinary influences collide, resulting in an explosion of delicious flavors. The Black Grouper and crispy baby squid are highly recommended for their exceptional taste. Situated along the Harbour Bay seaside promenade, this restaurant offers fantastic sunset views and live music performances on weekends. With its recent revamp, it now features romantic seafront seating with stunning sunset vistas, making it perfect for a couples' getaway.
Fresh, Delicious Seafood and Warm Hospitality! 🌊🦐 We visited Harbour Bay Seafood in Batam for the first time and were truly impressed! The restaurant is clean, cosy, and beautifully set up — perfect for a relaxing meal. The seafood was incredibly fresh and delicious, and every dish we ordered was satisfying. What stood out most was the service — the staff were polite, attentive, and very patient. Even though we were the last customers of the night, they waited for us with a smile, never rushing us. A wonderful dining experience overall — we’ll definitely be back again!

We recently visited Harbour Bay Seafood Restaurant for a reunion dinner, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The food was quite nice, and the atmosphere of the restaurant added to the festive spirit of our Chinese New Year celebration. However, we faced significant delays in service. It took an astonishing two hours for our crab and fried chicken to arrive, which was frustrating. Interestingly, the mantou came out two hours before the crab, leaving us waiting much longer than expected. The delay in service was compounded by the fact that the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive. They often pretended not to see us when we tried to get their attention, which made the experience a bit disappointing. Despite the long wait, the food itself was enjoyable, and the ambiance was pleasant, making it a decent choice for a gathering. However, improvements in service efficiency and staff friendliness would greatly enhance the dining experience. I hope they can better manage the rush during busy times like CNY in the future.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! There only one other family dining in the area when we eat there during a Wednesday afternoon. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’m honestly shocked at how bad both the food and service were. Let me break it down: • Fish sauce was absolutely disgusting—inedible and left a terrible aftertaste. • Yellow sauce was so overpowering with lemongrass that it ruined the dish entirely. • Crab tasted very bitter. • The crab sauce tasted like those cheap chili packets from KFC. For the price we paid, this is a complete joke. • We specifically ordered kailan, but they brought us cabbage. When we pointed out their mistake, the staff actually argued with us and insisted it was kailan. Anyone can see from the picture it’s NOT. Either they don’t know their own menu or they just don’t care. The service was just as bad. Staff were glued to their phones, ignored us, and made us feel like we were a bother. We were wearing white shirts and they didn’t even bother to offer covers, despite serving messy dishes. Basic customer care was completely missing. I left feeling angry and disappointed. honestly worried about food safety here. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money and your stomach go somewhere else! This place does not deserve your business. Trust me don’t dine there.

Booked and dined at the VIP room, and the service was good. Of all the dishes, the Kerabu was excellent! The rest of the dishes were acceptable ie standard Chinese cuisine

Best seafood restaurant in the area. Top quality food, best location, best views, beverage options are great. Even has a live band. Bring your family there they'll love it.

The best one that we ordered is Cumi Cabai Garam. The Kepiting Lada Hitam’s sauce is a bit too thick. Place is well decorated and has a good ambiance. It is a bit pricey considering there are a lot of other seafood restaurants in Batam.

The restaurant is spacious and well lit, with both indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn't windy outdoors but the number of fans installed helped with the heat. We ordered butter hepo, steamed scallops, sweet and sour snapper, sambal kangkong, salted egg crab, lobster, calamari, harbour bay style steamed grouper, and the egg fried rice. Both types of fish were fantastic! The meat was sweet and so fresh that you could see the layers of meat as you cut through it. The sweet and sour snapper was fried to perfection as the skin was super crispy and the skin fell off the meat easily. The butter hepo was a bit weird as it's not the usual butter we're used to. It's darker in colour and doesn't have the regular butter texture or taste. The hepo was also a little overcooked as the meat was stuck in its shell. The hepo were also pretty small in size, so it wasn't very pleasant to hacve to scrape out the meat. The calamari, kangkong, and steamed scallops were nice but nothing really special. My friends really enjoyed the crab and lobster, and I did not have any. The egg fried rice was served in a really generous portion. I usually expect egg fried rice to be the hongkong/taiwan style, but it turned out more to be like nasi goreng pattaya. No complaints, though, as it was decent. This is one of the better seafood places so far. Worth a try!

Seafood is slightly cheaper than what you can get in SG but quality is average. The sea cucumber was not well cooked (slightly hard). Restaurant is by the sea (open air concept) and did not accept cash payment.
